no it isnt a bug. if you want to use it, you need to disable tachyon mode. previously tachyon mode wasnt working at all if you had keypress indicator enabled

The entire desk is magnetic. Also if you purchased your table with one of the desk mats that is essentially a huge magnet and it sticks to the desktop.

On my Magnus Pro XL I seem to have found a sweet spot (or dead spot if you want to call it) where the magnetism of the desk and mat do not affect my 80he. I set the led bar on my KB to be used as a "Progress Bar" this way I can see when any key press is being registered.

Turns out this also works well to determine if your KB is being affected my the magnets in the desk.

So as I said before there is a sweet spot right in the center of the desk towards the front where I would place my KB anyways and I know that everything is functioning normally if I do not see the indicator lit up prior to pressing any keys. You can actually move the keyboard around your desk after you set the indicator effect to "Progress Bar" and see what areas of your desk will not affect your KB.

Some ppl have also had luck by placing an additional mat or mousepad under the Keyboard.

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to share my 2 cents as I experienced the same issue at first. Hope this helps a bit.

The sound change is pretty normal. Could be the lube breaking in on the switches or stabs, dust/dirt/crumbs getting into the stabs, etc. All easily remediated with a little time and effort.

just got answer from support, there is a problem with the coating with the current versison of the zinc alloy. the wear appears to be the result of the exterior coating breaking down. wooting has recevied a few of these tickets.
the issue may be related to specific environmental factors such as exposure to cleaning agents, oils, salt, or acids from hands, causing the coating to break down and peel off in this way

wooting are working on a different methods of coating the zinc cases going forward. I got a refund for the case! W wooting support ❤️

My backspace key keeps getting stuck (I even opened it, removed the stab and put it back in), but after a while it messes up again. The package arrived like a month ago, but it was delivered to a different house (in another city from where I live), and I just got it today and assembled it. That’s when I noticed the issue. I talked to some people about it and they told me to check for some pads (there weren’t any), so I put everything back and it seemed fixed, but now, a few hours later, it’s messed up again. How can I fix this?

There are pads, they're underneath the stabilizers. Little white one stuck onto the PCB. They sometimes cause sticking near the bottom of a keypress. You can either clean them off or remove them altogether (which is what I did).

Slow returning spacebar is usually a warped keycap, too much lube, or too tight on the plate. Since you're using stock stabs and stock plate, I'm hoping it's just a matter of too much lube from the factory

as for what I like with them atm, I find the sound very soothing, I havent encountered anything weird with them, no spring noise, no problems typing on them, they work great while gaming atm. they dont feel too heavy for my liking. Which are all subjective points.

At the end of the day, I think the switches you decide to go with boils down to a matter of preference which at some point boils down heavily to price and the sound profile the switch has. I dont have the kom poms so I dont know if the leap from jade pros to them is as massive as the jump from mechanical to magnetic. But if someone is happy with their purchase why push it down and say it was a bad decision?

yeah, it looks great. The typing angle is a little higher than the stock wooting without feet but pretty good for me. The keyboard is A LOT heavier now considering it's aluminum instead of the PCR case i had. I just love the color of it and it looks great with the keycap set i got for it

The way you actuate it, I cant believe it
I aint never seen a keeb like that
The way you press it, you make my game-y go "keep going going going".

Legit enjoyed the one week using it for mmos. It doesn't need the response time. But I enjoy how responsive it feels.

You need to remove the keycaps to get in there. Then you take some qtips (maybe dipped in a bit of water) and scrub them through the gaps between each switch.

It takes a while, but it's well worth it.

Hey guys, this is probably a really common question but do yall think the wooting 80 is worth the price? I play a lot of movement intensive games (cs, val, OW), and i use my keyboard quite a lot for programming and typing in general. The only thing putting me off is the $377 price (i live in canada), and ill be upgrading from a k70 tkl. Any opinions are appreciated!
