But I don't want to disable the original action of these keybinds, therefore - I want to add the FN key before every action with these keybinds so it will not impact the initial action of the original keys are intended to

Hey everyone, how are you all? After close to 8 months with my Wooting 80HE, using the Lekker L45 v2, and maybe because I'm now training OCR (Obstacle Course Race), which depends a lot on grip and wrist, forearms, and arm strength, I felt I was bottoming out and pressing the keys with more strength, and not really enjoying the sound they were making. I happen to have a Lekker L60 V2 pack I got when I pre-ordered the 80HE, changed to it, and now I'm much more happier with the actuation force and the deeper (thockier) sound they are giving.

Anyone who tested both the L45 v2 and L60 v2 that also noticed the more thocky sound? Or is it just the switch wearing after time (I did made a lot of tests, and ALL the keyboard keys were sounding the same, and I don't press all the keys with the same frequency).

There should be no noticeable sound difference between L45 and L60 of the same version. I'd definitely chalk it down to the lube getting settled from repeat use over time.

One of my 80HE's has a bizarre mix of L45, L60 and L80 V2 switches, and I honestly couldn't tell which are which, without very careful comparison for each row (never do spring swaps in portions, cause you're going to forget which ones you did eventually 😄 )

Thanks for sharing! I also thought about the repeat use, but ALL keys were sounding really similar and more CLACKY. Even keys that I normally never press (f7, f6), could this be only gravity working?

Depends on how you like having the extra function keys and the separated arrow keys. I play a variety of game types and have gotten tired of the 60% keyboards. Also I didn't particularly care for my cooler master keyboard with the red switches. Good for fps gaming, horrible for typing on and pretty much everything else.

Better is subjective to whether you'll make use of the extra keys. I have a 60HE and I switched to a 80HE for the extra real estate, only reason.

I can personally say that the extra space will be nice for Helldivers 2 for calling in drops on the arrow keys. So many times I have fat fingered another key by mistake. Can't wait for my board to come in next week.

I have a bit of a random question as im looking to purchase the wooting 80HE, and cant find definitive information aside from some random reddit threads (from 8mo. ago) that somewhat touch on what im wondering. SnapTap was banned in CS2 soon after release, and Wooting apparently released Rapid Trigger, then Rappy Tappy. I'm aware of how these differ, but is anyone familiar with whether the current iteration of Rappy Tappy is bannable in CS2? If so, is there some level of custom keypress activation that can be setup on the Wooting 80HE that allows for the performance benefits, but does not reach the threshold of being 'cheating' for CS2?

you'll want a chinese board if you REALLY wanna use socd in cs2, those allow you to adjust the delay between the 2 inputs, which bypasses the check. wooting does not.

'cause in my previous keyboard I made all the backlight led in white, and after a while few of the led backlight burns and when it's set to white it will be purple-ish

LEDs are LEDs. And they will eventually burn out.
They have a warranty of two years, and if you turn them bright, they will obviously burn out faster than if set low. White is ultimatily not a thing on these keyboards, it is all three colours turned up high to make your eyes think they see white.

It's all relative. They'll last shorter, though there's no way of knowing if that means a year or a month less overall.

If you're planning on pulling all your switches, I'd recommend opening the case and removing the switch plate first. You can then apply some pressure from underneath the switches while you pull from the top, which makes the process a heck of a lot easier.

i find wiggeling is the wrong thing to to. the problem is more that they need to be pulled streigth up for the best result and the plastic puller is not ideal for that; those cheap wire pullers with 2 sides allowed me finaly after trying a lot with the one in the package to pull them out pretty good simply since i could hold them tight while my other hand pulled them streight up (changed the springs from the free 45ls to 70 and changed the full set like this

although if one doesent go out easy its better to try other ones around it first

Everyone's strength/approach is different. Some people have no problem at all. For me personally when I struggled with pulling a switch, I found that wiggling it a bit while pulling helped often

No. But Wootility won't know the travel stops at 3.4, so your actuation will jump from there to 4.0 instantly when pushed down. We're working on a system to let users have different travel length specs based on known switches.

Its not only about sound (Although most prefer short travel switch sound), lekkers are wobbly compared to other options, for example geon raws/ttc koms

I dont recommend getting Jades from wooting store, they are outdated and overpriced.

Take a look at Owlab Ti He, they are new. For a non-boxstem option they are probably tightest switch right now with a nice sound.
