most switches come prelubed from factory, but it depends on your particular unit for factory thoroughness. Calder has a video on how to lube it, its pretty easy. The worst case that can happen is you overlube, but you can always fix it. If you dont wanna mess with the stem, I'd just start with the springs and leave it there

Hello, I'm trying to split my order to have the switches(planned for late-december) and case (planned for mid-january) to ship separately from the module & keycaps(which are apparently in stock), but all I get trying to place a ticket on Wooting Hub is an automated response telling me it will take 2-3 weeks to resolve(which entirely defeats the point of split shipping). Is there anything that I can do ?

I've been loving my white zinc 80HE except for one issue, occasionally while typing it will spam the last input as if I'm holding it down, while no keys are actually being pressed. Usually it will stop as soon as another input is detected, however this last time I had to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, as it was stuck pressing "d" forever. I've had this happen on multiple profiles, one with rapid trigger and tachyon mode enabled and one with fixed actuation, no tachyon and no rapid trigger. I believe I am on the most current wootility version, I just updated a few days ago.

The last of the freight shipments includes the Black Plastic prebuilt units, which have also finished getting manufactured and will get checked by the third party quality control service after they finish checking the units that are part of EU-Walvis-3.

We will be air freighting these keyboards to the Netherlands, and it's a tossup for whether these get there first or if the sea freight from EU-Walvis-2 does.

Shipments are expected to start on the 15th of January.

Hey! No problem, I have ordered multiple times from Wooting. While I don't know exactly how things work, it seems that they like to update their consumers rather than giving one or two ETAs. From my experience it does get pushed back but it may get pulled back again, as my packages got closer to my home. This will clearly vary from person to person. Sorry if I didn't explain it well, but I suggest having the Wooting hub open on a phone browser tab. Hope I helped :)

Hi, I'm having an issue with my Wooting 80HE in gamepad mode. When I press a key to move my character, they immediately move at maximum speed as soon as the key is pressed. The analog movement only starts registering properly when I begin to release the key.

you can just take the module from the 80HE out and move it inside of the GT-80, check out badseed tech's video for more info

From what I understand the case uses our daughterboard transplanted during installation by the customers and a longer JST cable that comes with their case to get it to the new position in the center back

The raws are louder/clackier, and from what I hear the jade pros have a tint to the housing so the lighting takes a minimal hint of green from it.

Not personally no, I can't stand the loud clacky sounds. More of a fan of the "thock" or muted sounds so I'm sticking with lekker v2s.

The weight is personal preference on the key press, that's up to you.

If you bought the GT-80 during the pre order late November you would receive it in January 2025. If you pre order it now you’ll have to wait till May 2025.
Zinc raw is in stock afaik so you’d receive it within 1-2 weeks

You’ll probably break some the first few times, but it’ll get easier as you get used to the motion. I found it was a lot easier to get a better feel with titanium
