basically they were set on a new version of the case but then someone from wooting saw it in the factory and it looked different in a way that they needed to get some answers on it and that stopped them from dropping the video. it was said that if it could be clarified there and then, the video would still be released but it still has not happened so maybe there is more to it. iirc he also said they wanted to start shipping them again in january but this might have caused some problems there then. it was in the Q&A maybe i got the details wrong, but i thought they wanted to get back to v2 shipping pretty quickly when I heard it I was surprised. maybe he ment taking up orders, idk

Is there an issue with my keyboard or with 8k polling? Overwatch at 8k polling works fine but Rust will randomly start like spam pressing random buttons and the key wont deactivate until I unplug the keyboard (button still being pressed even with the kb unplugged) replug and press the key again. I had issues with some of the keys not working on the desktop on windows (the f keys, enter, etc) after I changed settings in wootility but I haven't had that happen again for some reason I have no clue why. I think Im going to set the keyboard to 1k polling and just see if it does that again

most likely that the game engine never possibly conceived that it would need to handle 8k polling rate so it doesn't know what to do with it
and your key-release likely got caught in a space in time where the game wasn't scanning for key inputs (cause slow game)
so you pressed it, and it detected it got pressed down, but the release input was likely so fast it didn't catch it

Overwatch being a competitive E-sports title, of course it has 8k polling rate support

That's not CPU usage problem, that's CPU interrupts and scheduler problem
In newer version of Windows 11 and Linux this problem is almost non-existent, just occurs in games which parse raw input and can't handle that in 8k
In Windows 10 and older versions of Windows 11 this problem still occurs

I'll probably buy a 80HE, but I'm still hesitating between plastic and zinc case. I read that the zinc has some default (mainly on the white version that is not available anymore rn), and that plastic can feel a bit cheap for something this expansive.

Staff bias will be staff bias. I still haven't managed to scratch my white zinc case, except for the USB port (all of which could be wiped off) and the plastic feels ... fine? to me. Not sure what would make it feel better.

So I've had the White zinc one for months now, and got a plastic case for a 3rd 80HE last week - I like both for different reasons.

Zinc is heavy, doesn't slide. Plastic is quieter, and makes the LEDs pop more (since it's semi translucent)

The keyboard stop responding the lights are working but the keyboard is not taking any input, i have done replugging the keyboard from keyboard and PC and tried removing the keyboard from wootility web v5 and added it back.

Ok, I just listened to the sound tests again. The Geon Raw HE sounds more like Lego (which I really like), and the Jade Pros have a deeper, creamier sound, though not by much. Am I right? If anyone has both switches, could you tell me which one feels smoother to type on? Also, I think it doesn’t make a big difference, but since the Geon is a transparent switch, the RGB lighting would probably look better, right? (My idea is to keep the light white and have it change color when I press the key)

For general evaluation both switches are super smooth, both have a clacky sound profile with jade pro being a tad lower pitch but still clacky. Rgb is better on raw he due to untinted top housing and it’s a tad cheaper by like 20%. Pick whichever you prefer really

I'm very happy with my black 80HE zinc. I tried lubing the factory-lubed Lekker V2 switches and found that there is no point really - the factory lubing is really good in my opinon. I also tried switching to the megahyped GEON Raw switches but personally I prefer the sound profile of the default Lekker V2 (60g). Haven't tried playing with the stabilizers yet.

I have the one version of White Zinc Alloy and I loved it. But one tip bro. You have to clean your keyboard every month or every 3rd. No matter how much you try to clean the keycaps and all. When you remove the keycaps, there are lot of dust in it.

Just a question: I get that the support team is dealing with a huge amount of questions and what not, and that it takes 1 or 2 weeks to get an answer... but are we to expect that after the first contact every email will also take 1-2 weeks to get a new reply? I got an email reply that was totally absurd and absolutely a copy-paste, since it was pretty clear that this support member didn't even care to read my email in the first place, since all the information he asked for was more than detailed in the first email I sent.

is it normal that I find my pcb slightly lifted on the left side and not sit flush on the case. I can only achieve it sitting straight on this when the stock foam is not in the case. No idea why that is.

Even went as far as removing the tape mod I did entirely and I just could not get it on there without being slightly lifted
