So just wondering so I don’t have to take the 80he apart again but anyone who has one when you push down on it I know they have like a tape mod on the back of the PCB that shows your serial number on it I have the entire 80he assembled and screwed in but I was pushing a little on the pcb to get the keycaps in and I can hear like a tape peal sound like if you were to put something on sticky tape then take it off you get that tape peal sound and idk if it’s normal or not or I didn’t take something off on the back of the pcb or didn’t insert it correctly.

Hiiiii! im having some problems with my new woooting 80HE (which i LOVE) Major problem 1) keyboard disconnects(?) I put the question mark because the lights are still on but my character in game is moving in one direction which is never the same. 2) sometimes a single key is being input and can’t be stopped.

Both issues are fixed only after I disconnect the keyboard but resume again at some point, usually minutes or 10-20 after.

Looking to see if anyone else is experiencing the same?

Actuation point is 0.9
No other settings have been changed besides the lighting which I’ve now set at 75%.

Ah, I wouldn't worry too much. I may have just been a bit unlucky is all. There are thousands if not millions of these things being sent out so there's bound to be a few that slipped through quality control. I juist happened to be one of the unlucky ones. Wooting's customer service tends to be pretty good but I'm sure the influx of tickets with this new release is backing them up

Guys what’s the difference between rappy snappy and socd should I just enable both I feel like it’s the same thing but I could be wrong

Rappy snappy allows for a key to be actuated again without fully releasing the key. SOCD overrides the previous input if it still held down.

An example for SOCD is in most games if you hold A and D at the same time your character will stop moving as the keyboard is registering both inputs simultaneously. SOCD allows you to press D first, moving right, and then press A to make you character move left despite having D still held down

It's banned in some games so be careful when activating it

I honestly don't know. This is my first Wooting keyboard and I just got it today so I'm still figuring out the kinks myself. The games where I've seen SOCD give a pretty big upper hand are Overwatch and Counter Strike but it is banned in Counter Strike. It just helps massively with counter strafing, but it isn't going to make anyone professional lol

nah its the rgb settings you can do in a profile, it basically lets you add and run several different rgb effects on top of each other

they usually have a brightness slider for each effect and those will affect each other
