Not sure I’m understanding but there is a software feature that lets you set a key press as a toggle. So when you press 1 time, it keeeps pressing the key until you press it again.. ?(trying to explain it in simple terms)

ok so you know how the 80HE has 2 switch states, if have tachyon off, you are stuck at 1k (i think) and then tachyon for full 8k and no lighting effects?
(given it's still in early alpha, they will make a seperate polling option from tachyon later)

for some reason i was tryingv outb tachyon on this kb and i could tell a bit of a differece, but now I can't and it has the RGB effects on??? i think it might be running at 8k rn

The Wooting 80HE is the best keyboard I've ever had.
Well, I haven't had many that aren't mainstream^^.

The Rapid Trigger and Snappy Tappy SOCD actually give you an advantage in shooters, I didn't expect that.

What I don't understand about polling rate is. Games like csgo are based off server refresh rate/inputs. So would a faster keyboard polling rate make a difference if the server you are playing a game on doesn't register those inputs any faster?

Technical point being, white cannot be anodized with current methods because white color molecules are too big to fit into the surface pores created in the process. Color comes from filling those pores with the colors, and that's why it sticks through scratches and all, as it's not just on the surface, it's in the pores. Something to that line. There's some many papers and explanations you could google. That's why, I think at least, currently white is always a paint that's on top of the material.

But I could be wrong. That's what I got from reading into it when doing product sampling some years back.

I’m trying to figure out if it bypassed QC, or it chipped at some other point. It’s until so far a very small number of keyboards.

We can help improve the surface by adding a thing UV coat. It will however change the appearance a bit. But it’ll harden and unify the outside, creating a shield against scratches and chips.

We didn’t do it initially as, other than the chip, what you experience on the white zinc is the same thing with most other white metal products. We tested a few other brand “e-coated” white cases, you get the same effect by scratching lightly with metal

(And the UV changes appearance, we also experimented a lot more with UV coating thanks to RAW)

ignoring the fact mine doesn't sit flat and has lifted corners

ghost looks absolutely amazing with leds on, the design doesn't translate all that well with it being translucent though, the side and front angle "creases" are kinda lost, you could probably replace it with a translucent rectangle for me and i wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference

the build quality of it feels both good and meh, if you're just looking at it or touching it while in use it feels like any other piece of well made injection molded plastic, if you pick it up and handle it a little bit it feels like tupperware, the bendiest most flexible plastic keyboard i ever had

it would probably still be unfair to call it poorly made though, more like designers had a certain idea for the looks of the case and as a result the structural integrity of it had to suffer, like it would be awkward to put screws on the front middle part with the "crease" being in the way so the clips were used instead, etc

all in all it is what it is and now i'm a firm believer that if you're into rgb translucent cases are the shit
