Lekker V2 sound more silent, but I do kinda like the more pronounced sound from the jades, though it is just a tad bit too clacky in my opinion.

Oh yeh. They were a trend to have on your WASD keys a couple years ago. I never dried it, but I also have a tactility thing that leads me to really dislike rubberized coatings.
I think they had a tendency to peel and wear down over time. Which if you like them and treat them as consumable then I suppose it’s fine.

They have fallen out of popularity from everything I’ve seen. I assume for good reason, but again I never tried them because they were never for me.

so if we talk overmolded plastic with rubber... you will hate it prob. if you ever had a tool with rubberized grip and you get skin oils on there etc the rubber will start to most likely "rot" and smell bad if not even fall off

those rubbers just dont function the same as vulcanized rubbers

You could get some of the grip tape people use for mice and cut them to shape to put on top of your keycaps. I think a lot of companies sell them in self-cut sheets. Then if they wear you can just cut some more and replace the tape.

Depends on the use. If you’re just bottoming them out like you’re playing a standard fps game, then usually lighter is preferred.
If you’re using analog input for racing games or goofy console shooter movement, then heavier switches make it easier to do granular movements.

People have different preferences, some people find they need extra resistance to cushion their bottoming out when they hulk smash their keyboard.

He's talking about if the 8000hz polling will work over the 9m cable due to signal degradation which can be a real problem for USB over long connections. The longest a USB cable can go is 5m with USB 2 and even shorter with USB 3.2

There are other options out there that can boost the USB signal but it might add delay.

And if you get the keyboard to be detected in windows it's highly likely that 8000hz polling will work with no problem. Just plan accordingly and research how other people have do it since its pretty popular to have your pc in another room with everything going to your bedroom for example. Im just not educated enough on the topic to reccomend any solutions but I know they exist.

Very kind of you - We're definitely in a "for gamers, by gamers" mindset. Anyone can make money, not everyone can make meaningful improvements. Which is also why we're not looking to jump the shark on getting into other products like gaming mice.

We'd love to make a gaming mouse, but without a clear vision of something we want to, and can improve upon we'd just end up making yet another cookie cookie copy of the existing "meta" with our branding.

One idea for future 80he revisions, make the LED strip touch sensitive, so sliding a finger left to right is volume up and rigth to left volume down

Touch would be a cool feature for sure. But the LED bar is pretty small, so it would be difficult to set up more than 3-4 "zones"
