I ended up ordering the all white case + caps. I think having it all match looks better than mixing and matching, but I am also a fan of more colorful mods (I saw a full red lunar new year 60HE and it was fire)

I also ended up getting the lavender purple cable for some color contrast so I’m pretty hype for how the final product turns out 😁

Just found out about the 80he and plan on preordering it since I was worried there was no good 70-80% rapid trigger/hall effect keyboards. Then my good friend told me that wooting is making a 80 and I instantly ripped up my considered keyboards list and am amped for the realese of the 80he. I used my friends 60he for a while and it was truly amazing and using any other keyboard feels incomparable to that beast, but I miss the function row and arrows. So amazing that the 80he just happens to be around the corner. Woot woot🙏

Drivers can be downloaded automatically via Windows Update, or via the website.

audio drivers from gaming mainboards usaly deliver some kind of 3d for headsets without software and proper drivers don't work (i nowadays use external soundcard but still that's normal) windows will not deliver that
a good mainboard software with good updates are appreciated sadly i never saw one.. like i saied asus is horrible msi is okayish at best

Tbh windows update drivers won’t make any meaningful difference vs manufacturer/mb drivers

If you have specialized audio software needs use it, but 9/10 times the windows update version will be just fine

Most of the mb software is bloat anyway.

The “3d” for headsets is all be, unless you run multi driver headphones. Just use decent headphones and plug em in, just fine

If you use specialized headphones, they’ll have their own software config.

Gpu drivers, and anything cpu specific is really all you need to dl additional.

And do bios updates periodically. Like check once every few months and just run the update

I think it is, I’ve had plastic keyboards before and have never been a big fan, they always feel cheap. Once I got a full metal one and felt the weight, I’ve never wanted to go back. Personal preference at the end of the day.

Hall effect switches have been used in technology for a while, especially in aerospace systems. If a geomagnetic storm is strong enough to mess with your keyboard switches, how well your keyboard works will probably be the least of your problems lol

Linear switches in general are fairly silent, Wooting switches are linear

Any of those silent switches you see on those big brand keyboards are also linear

With the amount of rattle you usually get on big brand keyboards the Wooting is probably more silent 😂

I run a Tn panel and tbh I just got used to it after adjusting some settings. I’ve played the entirety of god of war 2018 on it without anything feeling off lmao. the low latency and high refresh rate makes up for the Tn panel inaccurate colors and awkward viewing angles imo. If I were to upgrade it’d definitely be for an Oled display just because Oled is the only panel type that beats Tn in latency speed. (And ofc the amazing color accuracy)

Anyhow - My point was and is. Cerakoating a keyboard might not be your best approach. It's expensive, and you could chip it fairly easily if you're not careful.

The question is what type of finish you want. For flashy finish you can go xirallic pigments which is a lot flashier than cerakote.
