If you want TKL I’d choose Apex Pro TKL. I’ve had the absolute worst possible experience with Razer Synapse. If you like 65% keyboard as well, I’d go with the ATK68 which costs around $110 and has nearly all features Wooting has.

For me this layout will have compromises anyway. Akward arrow key alignment, you are missing 4 keys, of which delete is the biggest deal, of course you can swap it out with (I assume mod) but that would still require different finger movement.
The tradeoff just offers fairly little gain compared to either going less wide with a 75% layout or more likely swallowing that 1 key extra width and going tkl

The keyboard uses north facing leds, the keycap I want to use need specifically south facing

I was thinking if I can use a normal transparent switch (gateron north pole) drill a bottom hole at the bottom housing and mix with a lekker switch

to get the light to fully pass through yk yk

The LED is on the underside of the PCB, pointing up through a hole above, and then through the switch.

The only way to do a true south facing LED would be to solder an additional LED onto the PCB (which requires a redesign of the PCB at a fabrication level)

This is a worst case example btw. I have my keyboard on 0% unless I tap a key (Trail effect), so it's quite easy to tell if I accidentally hit Caps Lock at some point.

big issue with that is Del key placement, and if you were to place it lower, it's harder to find it fast by feel
also no distance from Ctrl to left arrow key means more misclicks.

Del key by feel and placement next to backslash/enter is a must, don't know why keebmakers almost never respect Del key.
