Dune ch 1-5 || Haven't read a book requiring this much attention in quite some time but I am enjoying it. I'm a sucker for cool world building. There is a lot to wrap my head around regarding all the characters and their relations to each other. Paul is soon-to-be chosen one who seems to have foresight and truth-sensing abilities. The antagonist Harkonnen seems to be a complex character, I liked getting his POV. Piter is interesting, he seems to have plans of his own. Why does he want Jessica? Yueh is being coerced somehow. Not sure what the emperor's motives are here or his true alignment, or the reverend mother for that matter. The sandworms sound terrifying. Can't wait to learn more about the planet and meet the people there ||

I finished Dune book 1 || Paul's moment of awakening extreme mental acuity was fascinating to read. The dude is almost a god-like diety or messiah if you will. Lots of religious undertones here. Interesting that he is the result of essentially a human eugenics breeding program. Turns out he and Jessica are Harkonnen This Voice ability of theirs also seems exceedingly strong. Paul is definitely a wild card. Interested to see what happens ||

Unfortunately, though, due to the extensive but essential post-production schedules. It couldn't work.

FX work takes long, long time, & Russell didn't want to just rush the season out henceforth it's May instead.
