Which kind of loosely describes what's going on I believe.. 1st world was likely the time of Nika and other actual gods among men also when devil fruits first came to be as well as the ancient kingdom that vega punk described as impossibly advanced, 2nd world was when the unification happened aka the world government, and the 3rd world is going to be the "peak" aka when it all comes together..

Don't think it's for no reason that the poneglyphs are based on Egyptian hieroglyphics as well as them being first introduced in Alabasta a country based off Egypt.
Though I'm sure that the specific events there in could be inspired by stuff such as u said the Bible too because there is a lot of biblical references as well as a literal "Bible".
As well the final villain having a lot of classic demonic symbolism that stems from biblical references to the 5 "wounds" of Christ.
If haki can be stored in knots, can it be stored in other things like sea dials?
Potentially
okay so Imu is def keeping the CDs around to eventually domi reversi them into a giant army of demons, mimicking the night parade of a hundred demons, a very famous story in Japanese mythology. In the original mythos, the demons cross a giant bridge from their world, into ours, which is what the bridges like Tequila wolf, etc, represent
to flip the world upside down could mean the reversal of heaven and hell's placement
where all those in heaven are revealed as hellspawn and demons, and all those from 'hell' the sea, are the leading party of god
i like the theory of Celestial Dragons being pieces to eventually turn to demons
key thing is Dragon's role in whether or not he can collapse the inner circles of Marijoa before the final battle
if he can cut off the Celestial Dragon's authority from several kingdoms through revolution, the Celestial Dragons are all but 'gods' in name
also that one particular Celestial Dragon girl whose ears perked at the void century is a strange thing to not be tied into later on
Crackpot Theory Time
Doflamingo knew about Imu because Monet used to be a God’s Knight
For an excommunicated celestial dragon, Doflamingo seems to have a ton a pull and information he really should not have access to. How? He had an informant in the form of Monet.
We can see that at some point Monet had a tattoo on her left arm. Granted the tattoo does not really look like any of the god’s knight/steel tattoo’s but this could be a classic Oda retcon.
Monet seems to have expertise in espionage and going undercover so it makes sense that she would be the one to be “ceasar’s assistant”.
I believe that she sought out the depth’s covenant and learned about the holy land (in a similar vein to Shanks) and when Imu’s influence became too much; Doflamingo had her arms amputated to undo the contact (again, in a similar vein to shanks) and had her arms replaced w the trademark harpy wings we see her have in Punk Hazard.
Doflamingo then held onto this information as a blackmail piece to influence the world government at needed.
I posted something about this in #manga-serious . I don't think that is why CD are sticking around. But I do think Teach will Reversi them at some point.
luffy and blackbeard are the final antagonists who will end up destroying the entire world
imu will end up being the protagonist holding the reins and preventing all living things from going extinct just u wait
the tenryuubito will be revealed to be little shits as revenge
remember those words
I think that Sabo is the Destroyer Nika version.
Why? Because
1- He's known as the Flame Emperor
2- He leads the revolution by liberating countries as well, but through more destruction
3- He felt Ace's will in the Mera-Mera fruit after eating it and was immediately competent with its abilities
4- The Mera-Mera is closely related to the Sun, such as with the attack Entei and again the Flame Emperor title
5- Sabo's scar is also on his Left Eye, like Luffy's. He might very well be the Man Marked Flames too.
6- He already stood against Imu and the Gorosei, and managed to save Bonney(who can become Nika now) from them, which is no small feat given all that we know atm.
7- He's been given the D initial by Luffy and Ace during the flashback, along with their brotherly bond he has Inherited will and an immediate connection. Though he has the same values Luffy does, his approach is based around settong Marie Geoise aflame and destroying Celestial Dragons for the people, mirroring Luffy's approach that is to give the power to the people so they can liberate themselves and give them a means to fight only taking out the final boss.
Sabo Agenda bois are getting serious
The notable use of Sabo is that he too shared in Ace and Luffy's Sakazuki and took a sake cup which means to deepen their bonds.
Sakazuki the magma admiral then killed Ace, severing the Sakazuki of the three members.
Sabo wins the Mera Mera, and also reuniting with Luffy which may also have the context of Sakazuki, an unbreakable bond of Sakazuki, was broken, hence Luffy was marked with that X.
Sabo, who had lost his memories connected the dots through the words Luffy, Ace and Sakazuki.
Then Sabo, won the mera mera as Lucy and took Ace's will with him (because what would Luffy do with this fruit)
And reunited the brothers through Sabo, therefore tying Sabo to Luffy.
Also been marked with burn scars since the nobles shot and sunk his boat and set it alight.
Sabo with Ace's, while not being Nika's destroyer, may be recognised in a possible Wano recruitment towards the Revolutionary army, through his Flame fruit, causing Yamato to now once again be tied to the final battle
As for him being the man with the burn scar, we do not know whether the revolutionary army has the Fishman Island Poneglyph, Sabo and Dragon were both on the infamous "It all depends on who will find the One Piece" spread
Lafitte proclaims that Hinokizu the burn scar man, when sailing even near his pitch black ship, you are met with Whirlpools, i doubt that Sabo is that man, it is more likely dragon, as Wind powers could power a stealthy black ship through the calm belt with his wind power to cause a smooth current, which met with anyone passing by, suddenly turns violent and becomes a pseudo whirlpool.
Otherwise,
Christianity depicts Sun's Flame as a ray of light, Aztec's Huitzilopochtli the sun god wielding a spear of flames.
Sabo may be a way to tie Ace into Luffy's journey even through death, and his flames to announce the holy land's collapse, with Luffy and his ancient weapons breaking the red line causing a nice thematic Sun and its flames destroy the world apocalypse
Let's not forget that Sabo knows Fishman Karate and Koala too, its not far-fetched for Sabo to be linked to Fishman Island and being able to create whirpools. He also travels alone a lot for solo missions so its very possible he has a black ship.
Before Luffy awakened his fruit we all thought he was just Rubber, maybe its the same situation with Sabo 🫶✨️
What if D = demi God, the children of the gods. Oda loves all that
ugh, luffys just gonna turn everyone into nika to face imu, and i have proof: joyboy did the same thing 800 years ago. hes connected to both zou and fishman island because of the apology letter he wrote on the poneglyph in fishman island and the minks live of the back of his pet elephant. ANd what do the fishmen and minsk ahve in common? the ability to turn into white dieties, with red eyes, with increased speed and strength, with extreme fatigue as a result (minks with sulong and fishman with the energy steroids). Joyboy must have somehow transferred his nika-like abilities to his allies for the day they rose up and defeated imu. boring, i know, but here me out
I'd be more inclined to believe this for the Minks/Sulongs, only the themeing is pretty obviously different. There's no connection between Joyboy and the steriods though. A medical pill that increases strength based on race is closer to what Chopper's done with the Rumble Balls.
Yes, the Sulong share some color traits, and are also a super form, but the reason for the white is very different. G5 is white because Luffy becomes a literal ink and pen cartoon. Sulongs turn white because of a lunar connection that Luffy doesn't share (literally being the sun god) and all of the lunar associated design tropes present in anime already, or even werewolves in western lore. There's an argument somewhere that the moon is a reflection of the sun so the Sulongs may be mirroring Joyboy in some way, but it would be entirely circumstantial. Also wouldn't make much sense for him to share that with the minks but nobody else he was allied with.
Mind you, we still don't know whether or not the DF or the Nika came first, but we know Joyboy is a distinct figure from Nika which implies that his powers specifically came from the fruit and that would not have been transferrable.
With Monkey D Dragon and future sight (how the story is implying high level version). Are we to presume that without dragons intervention at logue town luffy would be dead. Also that there would have been no way of luffy dying in marineford?
I feel there is knowledge on seeing the future. One I think Roger and the crew with out shanks and buggy found out what was to come and told shanks that a man with a strawhat will change the world. But to tell anyone anything more would defeat the purpose of the challenge for the man to become strong. Shanks showing up to marine Ford was to make sure Luffy survived.
Yes i agree, however i’m more so on about dragon shows up in logue town to stop luffy’s execution and then his inevitable capture would this imply that there was no future where luffy died at marineford with dragon taking the back seat
What if Dragon was simply always watching Luffy. If his fruit turns out to be wind, maybe it's possible dragon was just seeing Luffy off to the Granline?
Dragon's future sight is too much of a stretch, Logue town was directly after luffy got his first bounty so its more believable that dragon take notice of luffy taking into the seas because of his wanted poster and he just seeing luffy off
The straw hats had been there less than a day including the bounty posters being published, future sight needed too be used
I fw this
Thank you thank you
I imagine their physical might even with a imu buff wouldnt get em out of fodder tier.
I am not entirely sure of that specific story but will learn about it. Still, there is some reason he has them. I always thought it was more that his reasoning is both realistic (Needs the people for the false narrative he created that is the wg) while also being tied to his power somehow. I didnt think they were something he needed as soldiers. More theyre use revolves around how it makes his power work. Something we dont know much yet and havnt theorized enough
If hed shown anything about transferring powers or transferring df id be with you. Since thats a typical shonen type trope to go down.
However unlike most, Odas writing this more methodically. Id imagine the Nika transformation isnt literal or power based. Its literally everything that built up the journey to here. Every interaction with the strawhats and its crew has brought everyone to their side. Its more of liberating the people into rebellion. Which is the scariest part of Nika. Not his strength, he himself has the ability to make full faithful allies easily and at no cost.
The same power mihawk said was the most dangerous ability on the seas.
Eustass Kid - The skeleton of Elbaf
At the end of the most recent chapter, a monster comes up, and is immediately defeated by Loki. But what I find interesting, are two things specifically
The first, being how Hajrudin comments on the mythological nature of the creature, and how he didn’t think it was real. The form, being that of a skeleton
The second, is the specific detail of the formation the cracks in the skull take. You know what this reminds me of?
One of Eustass Kid’s most iconic moves, Punk Rotten. Two things are needing mention here. The first, being the exact detail of the cracking near the eye area. The second, being the skeleton figurehead as well to complete it.
I also need to mention the name of the move. When something dies, and decomposes, it becomes a skeleton. It “rots.” Punk rotten is a reference to these creatures, and will play a role in relation to Kid and Elbaf.
Furthermore, Xebec, who was a prominent figure to the giants, had the same eye marking/scar as the former two slides had
Kid return next chapter???
@dusky acorn
well, from this i m starting to think that kid could return but wasn't the draugr formed by killingham using his fruit from the children's nightmares ?
Yes. But it’s very possible either A: The nightmare is related to Xebec himself. Or B: one of the Kid’s saw Punk Rotten when it was revealed in the paper that he beat Big Mom
If Kidd were to return wouldn't he be injured to where he wouldn't be able to fight.
Its one piece hea probably fine after drinking some milk
Law is getting a new weapon or he isn't gonna have one.
Law is getting a new weapon. In the manga Bepo didn't take his sword.
Law's sword Kikoku means demons wails or walling of restless ghosts this refers to Law waiting to get revenge for Cororzon death on Doffy
Law has already gotten that revenge so it makes no sense for him to have that sword since he has a new goal which is his checkered fate.
What about this :
There are three layers on Elbaph : Heaven, Sun, Underworld
Zoro has Heaven - Wado Ichimonji and Hell - Enma
What if he were to get the Sun to assist Luffy's Sun here on Elbaph?
what does this have to do with Law?
Naw bro just another theory
ight
well, i think he should've survived but him being that skeleton just doesn't seem likely the skeleton (draugr) was surely the one from children's nightmares. And i don't really think that kid is gonna join in the fight in elbaf, i just don't get the vibes from it
and any thoughts on what could brook's relation be with gunko and holy knights ?)
||So i think there is connection to uranus the god of skies with loki ragnir or his fruit !||
We saw how he said he could fly, now looking at this posiedon is ancient weapon that could control sea beasts and pluton is said to be revealed when land of wano opens up only thing left here is sky , theoretically imu have used uranus to erase lulusia but wg cant have ancient weapons they are either protected by countries who are strongly against wg like wano, fishmen, elbaph maybe!? Its very highly unlikely loki joins crew if he had link to ancient weapon
I don’t think Xebec is the skeleton, I think that the stories of him caused a nightmare, or some similarity
And Kid will join the fight in Elbaf for a few reasons
-He has a grudge against the Figarlands
-He’s a coc user and can defeat the holy knights
-His style is that of Elbaf
-He was already en route to it
-He’s defeated Big Mom whom the giants hate
The sea monster that took shanks arm has Adv conquers.
Think about it.
We know shanks had an abyss mark and was a holy knight. So that means he would have the regeneration properties of the elders.
We know those with that ability can be harmed with adv conquers and only adv conquers.
So unless I missed something due to my lack of reading comprehension. And they can turn the regeneration off.
The sea monster from chapter 2 had adv conquers before adv conquers
*Shanks isn't a holy knight but a God's Steel.
*It only has teleportation powers.
*They don't regenerate
Ok so it was my lack of reading comprehension thanks for clearing that up for me
Do we know who Eustass Kid Father is?
Kid could be the step-brother of BlackBeard
i saw a thing about this on X, when kid was around 7-8 years old, shamrock could have killed his family, but not knowing who shamrock actually was, when shanks got his name high up, he thought shanks was the one who killed his family, i tried to come up with a reason why shamrock would do so, i came up with a thing like kid's parents were also pirates and were a major threat to the WG,
I mean, maybe...? I dont recall anything about kids family or his hatred to Shanks being Revenge. They chose Shanks likley because he had the smallest armies and wasnt established the same way BM/Kaido/BB were since he just galavants around in his territory instead of being at a home base with armies. Where he lost his arm from all that. He had a grudge from that.
So unless oda said Kids family was killed in a sbs. I dont really seeing it.
i never really saw it too, i was skeptical about it but there is a possibility
Not confirmed. But the likely option is John, from the rocks pirates
Genuinely that might have been me lol. That’s been the theory I’ve pushed for a loooooong time now.
And as to why, another theory of mine is that Victoria, Kid’s childhood crush, was a royal descendant, and Shamrock killed her for those reasons
lol, idk
Old news I guess now but is this the general consensus on Rogers sickness?
You need to ask where did they find Uranus
I didn't get you
LIke where did the Word Government find Uranus.
I dont think imu had uranus i said there is possibility what we saw was uranus but its highly unlikely imu would have such power with him
Only explaination to what happened would be devil fruit 🙂
The One Piece IS the world. The Red Line is theorized to be Jormungandr, an ancient snake that was the size of the planet and could eat its own tail, because of its reference as the blood snake in giant mythology. Thor was the one to take it down (the in-verse equivalent of Loki. We also know there are enslaved giants within the redline. Loki will be the person to destroy the red line, which with poseidons help, will lower the sea levels to the point where all of the world is connected by ONE land mass… The One Piece.
Imu has uranus
No official statement but there is possibility as what we saw is a arial weapon just imagine if pluton was something
Like a war tank and uranus a spaceship and Poseidon a submarine
We get this from a process of elimination.
Like really what do you think the device that needed nuclear fusion as a power source could be
Yes
Imu has been around ages now i guess he can potentially obtain such weapon but he is also scared of haki like he didn't mess with gaints and samurais just because of strong haki they had ... I think fishmen island was also safe due to it being underwater or else imu would have grabbed all ancient weapons
Imu is afraid of the D because Mu was inside the castle for 800 years hence no vitamin D and Mu greatest enemy is Nika the Sun god this caused Mu to make Vega punk create the artificial sun under the disguised of powering ancient weapons but in reality, Mu uses the artificial sun - mother flame to get vitamin D
And ofc Mu cannot go outside in the natural sun for vitamin D because it would look uncool
Imu is dihphobic🥀
i think i have a good idea of where Gunko’s connection to brook comes from. I got all of pre timeskip manga so i was doing a reread and i got to this. “I was the leader of a battle convoy in a certain kingdom”. Like that must be it, right?
to be a leader of a battle convoy means Brook had close ties with a royal family in a certain nation... where gunko probably used to be a high-ranking general of some sort
A story worth to be called laugh tale lol
If Monkey D. Luffy were to have a real-world nationality, the series creator, Eiichiro Oda, has stated that he would be Brazilian.
and his fruit is modelled after the Brazillian Sun God Meri
who is said to have a Twin
does Luffy have a potential twin?
"grudge against the figarlands" no figarland is present in elbaf, shamrock left
"he's a coc user" while confirmed to possess it he hasn't actually used it once , let alone advanced enough to beat HKs
"style is that of elbaf" only really the cape and not much else(also this one in general is just a weak argument)
the last 2 are fine though
Anyone think the galley la giants on punk hazard were frozen from the legendary devil fruit of elbaph
not sure cause Kuzan
also Shanks sword might have df too cause the name gryphon n his twin has it too
imu has been a hikikomori gooner this entire time, actually being in line with the theory that imu is the storyteller of one piece and the creator himself. he is the average mangaka
i came up with a thinf about abyss, the way it works i mean, first of all we need to understand what imu's powers could be, as of now imu is shown using a griomoree so he could have devil fruit which allows him to caste spells. But is it really that way ? Nope i dont think so there would be a devil fruit like this, her devil fruit which i and communities are pretty sure of is earth god's, a domi reversi when translated to englih means "back home" by returning the people to their soil and can control them, similarly abyss seems to be connected to earth as it has to be placed before it can be used, it is "not" a straight up teleportation, taking account to emeth blasting off conquerors and only mercurt jupiter nasjuro returning to marijoa and mars returning when thrown far from abyss mark, saturn indeed came to egghead using abyss but he basically came only from few kilometers away from marine ship rather than coming 10000s of km away from marijoa. So abyss is imu's power, the way it works simply put into words is it basically controls the earth, it controls a certain amount of area (can be put as law's room) it allows the user to be there depending on from where it is picking the user, if it is used to get a user from a few kilometers it is more effective and allows more of the presence of user to be there, the more away the user is the less presence it has, for example, saturn seemed a tad bit more powerful than other gorosei, like mars literally couldn't escape from luffy and was sent flying away, when jupiter swallowed luffy it was straight up cut in pieces, sure saturn was toyed a lot too, but other elders just didn't have the aura they should have
uhmm, i came up with something related to brook, rn as of what we r seeing gunko was probably brainwashed so she could just be imu's knight, and brook wanted to become a pirate as shown in that 1 panel of fb, could it be the case that brook was the leader of holy knights in his era like 53-54 years ago of current timeline, but knowing the restrictions and slave-like life in marijoa being a god's knight he wanted to sail and be free like a pirate, so instead of just running away from marijoa, he was instead brainwashed by imu?? brook doesn't really seem like a character who would hide something this big from luffy, or it could be the case that after 50 years of staying alone with the literal skeletons of old crew, he didn't want to lose the opportunity of having friends again and living a happy life, there are 2-3 possibilities as next to no information is available to us, but i think he hid the fact because he took a liking to luffy and didn't want to miss that opportunity
but there were a lot of other pirates and marines that were near saturn
Not sure Imu needs the grimoire. Imu potentially limited by Gunkos body needed the grimoire. Gunko may have eventually used the grimoire without Imu possession if inclinded.
if we see in that context it is just for the depth of the character, a vague example can be luffy shouting all his attacks name when fighting, it ain't necessary but it gives more depth, if imu can kill saturn without moving a finger, he sure can limit gunko without needing the griomore
I just meant there are different levels of covenants. An abysmal covenant likely allows Imu to teleport fully to an area (God V). However through Gunko, Imu i am not sure is fully there or not. With Harald, Imu likely could not possess him, but could influence with deep sea pact.
Covenants/abyss are all about summoning more power, deap sea covenant users only have to limited degree. But on GV, Imu was able to sprout fully feom Saturn and use its powers without covenants.
hmm makes sense
One could argue the only reason Imu was able to take over Gunko at all is because Gunko had a slightly better deep sea pact, OR Gunko used abyss to travel, which we see leaves a long term connection to holy land. That might allow Imu to hijack that carrier wave easier.
She was a kid in her flashback. So more like a little kid like daughter or godchild
Definitely jinbe, sanji is number 4 after all
For me, Gunko is pretty much the odd one out compared to the Gods knights and the Gorosei
I think it’s highly likely we either see her die or potentially revert to the straw hats side, that brief panel of her & brook to me comes across as a building stone to that - like she has some moment of realising what she’s doing is wrong etc, after Imu relinquishes control over her
Yes cause he avoided it on kamabak queen dom but he can't avoid in here elbalf COC is SOO BIG
Didn’t they mention the sun god has existed 3 other times, maybe nika, joyboy, and Davy jones were the previous sun gods
Would break the trio dynamic, doubt it tbh
Would alien involvement upset readers if that was revealed in the end? I think it would because there was no hint of extraterrestrials in the manga.
I guess I'm going to continue to believe that will of d is the will of dreamers. Those who go at any length to make their dreams come true.
There is literally a cover story with people on the moon lol
Those are robots and they were put there from people on earth.
Eh I think some ppl would compare it to Naruto but I think it makes more sense in OP bc OP already plays with so many genres and tropes like we went from a feudal Japan themed arc straight into a futuristic sci fi arc
So if there’s any series that could suddenly introduce aliens it would probably be OP. Except Dragon Ball, which is the goat of “now there’s aliens, surprise”
I mean, aliens was ok with Dragonball because Piccolo looked like an alien despite what he was designed after at the time.
The moon is involved. So my guess is if aliens existed it was in the past and they were created from people's desires.
Which would be a perfect moment for them to animated the ENEL cover story and introduce those Aliens and the vegapunk look alike 😆😆
They were robots I thought. Since it was his powers that woke them up.
Black Beards mother is a descendant of or in some way related to Imu
first one i have heard jinbe getting coc, but sanji is zoro's rival, if sanji doesn't get a new powerup or likely coc, he wouldn't be able to stand against god knights
He already shown us he has world class features like when he deflected Kizaru's light based attack and spat something abt love.
I see the parallel between him and Scopper Gaban. Sanji deserver CoC even if neither I could say when and where he could get it
Uploading files showing loki's emotions and what happens to the weather around him. Notice when sad, unusual weather like snow happens. When angry, fire appears. This could all be symbolism by Oda, or it could be noting the powers loki has.
i would recomend probably putting this in the op forum so you can display it better with each individual image
So Loki's weather manipulation powers are completly outside of his devil fruit abilities?
yes, every instance here my argument is before the DF. Oda threw a lot of stuff at us with Loki, but I think the weather powers are just what he was cursed with, just like Poisodon curse and Momo ordering around Zunesha.
So shirihoshi and Loki both powers outside of devil fruits. That would explain why his eyes looked so different
Part of the history of one piece:
· There were 4 tribes on the moon.
· Three with wings, a 4th without wings
· The wingless moon people may had mixed feelings on their treatment.
· When the Moon people descended, they dreamed up new lineage factors/races. Lunarians, Tontattas..ect. Life was an endless invention.
· As these races spread, humans and some of the wingless Moon people raged
· Some of the wingless moon people thought they should be treated like gods, and began enslaving these races over time.
· A war ensued, the Moon people and their children vs the humans. The wingless moon person joyboy fought against those tied to his ancient blood.
· The 3 winged races had rulers/champions of power, who were ancient races.
· However the 4th tribe activated a device long forgotten device.
· The wingless moon people won, and they now sat above all. Those races dreamed up from the other moon races were enslaved.
· Those wingless moon people who fought went into hiding, some retaining the name while others forgot their lineage.

This lines up with skypiea. The two without Wings were the two people fighting over to be god ruler of Skypiea. Enel (the Celestial Dragon) and Gan Fall (D) who wanted a world where everyone could be free.
"the French complain of everything and always" Napoleon Bonaparte
I’m gonna paste this here cuz it didn’t get any attention in the main channels.
Would they have noticed WB without his heart
May have realised it when they were transferring his body
is there a limit to the amount of df a person can have if they can get it just by eating them?
Why does blackbeard just eat everyone? I think there's something more elegant to it
Also that would be a wapol upscale
Gura-gura no mi probably can be used to destroy Redline..
I mean it looks symbolic of his emotions. To me, he had no powers yet. Moreso its a visual indicator to show emotions through scenery.
To be honest, teach being a cannibal for DF was thrown out there before. I think it's very possible still but the reason you didn't get attention on the main channel is because it was brought up before.
The concept of piracy in the One Piece world being simply powerful, supernaturals on their way to hunt for treasure is a far cry from real world pirates and their tendency to steal from Naval vessels and slave trade cargo ships.
However even in the real world they were free spirits, perhaps even liberators of those ships with sold slaves on them, they tended to have their own code and were rather democratic with their share of bounty, more so than most navies.
Tying this in with how most one piece pirates from the Grand Line and above in terms of proximity to Laugh Tale, it only makes sense as to why even entire islands consider the Emperors of the Sea as heroes so much as they are fearsome crews.
The connection between slaves and hopes of freedom and heroes can be seen in Vodou for example, religion stemming from Haiti, the only known country to have successfully toppled their colony government, partly thanks to a Vodou ritual "Bois Caïman" Ceremony (also an incredibly similar picture to the Skypiean fire dance panel which Oda loves)
sacrificing a black pig, marking the blood of taking place in the middle of the woods in an opening, dancing and calliing upon the Sun God to bless them beforre their revolt against their masters.
As Dutty Boukman has said about the Ceremony:
"This God who made the sun, who brings us light from above, who raises the sea, and who makes the storm rumble. That God is there, do you understand? Hiding in a cloud, He watches us, he sees all that the whites do! The God of the whites pushes them to crime, but he wants us to do good deeds. But the God who is so good orders us to vengeance. He will direct our hands, and give us help. Throw away the image of the God of the whites who thirsts for our tears. Listen to the liberty that speaks in all our hearts"
Neo Evangelical Christians of modern Haiti even recontextualise this ceremony as a curse to the Haitian people, the spirits the dances called upon were demons, and the Bois Caiman was a pact with the Devil
If Luffy is the imitator of a sun god which takes offerings of usually meat, in exchange for fighting the helpless mass' battle, he would then be akin to a god himself, for he too has only done good for the people in need, in exchange for a feast and celebration of his victory.
Yes he is south american in reality, but the aspect of Aztec and Mayan traditions recall several chiefs of tribes dressing up as their gods, dancing and donning outfits and weaponry similar to their very depictions of gods.
Maybe in Oda's imagining of this world, the revolution against the masters of the Old World with a stamp of authority by the World Nobles and their government could only begin with their latest and most enthralling era of the Transatlantic trade, the Pirates around the Carribean waters, formerly prrivateers, slaves and desperate free spirits wanting to make a fortune (the golden age of which was around 1650 to 1730) And the great continent of South America, home of ancient civilisations like the Olmecs, now being raided starting from 1494, around 1542 the Spanish took control of Peru, freely sending South American treasures and enriching the Spanish Empire.
This shed light to the Conquistadores (Conquerors) and the Libertadores (Liberators) the greatest of which was D. Pedro 1st of Brazil
The Soldier King, born of royal heritage, his portugese royal parents fled from the mainland of Europe, Portugal all the way to Rio de Janeiro, he was referred to simply as 'Dom' an honorific meaning "Lord" or "Owner" at first because he was named a long set of names.
The Honorific of Dom is peculiar because it was not a title, but a style, you referred to Pedro the 1st of Brazil as simply 'Dom' or 'Don' in Portugese or Spanish.
Typically it was only reserved for born nobles, blood royals. There was only ever one case where a certain privateering Pirate was given a 'Dom' Miguel Enriquez, given the D. title for his work in the Carribean, controlling the buccaneers.
if you search for Miguel Enriquez, you are met with the unmistakable initial D. before his name
given to not a blood royal, but a privateer, of mixed Spanish and African ancestry, the 6th division of the possible 8 in the Spanish Caste, the day this D. title was given to a Mulato like Miguel, Spain was in outrage
if the infamous will of D. is such a nnuisance to the current World Government, perhaps the Ds themselves were the leaders and royals of the world on which Imu and the first twenty (19 excluding Nefertari D. Lilli) took claim to.
Don Pedro, his final words, an open letter to Brazil ""Slavery is an evil, and an attack against the rights and dignity of the human species, but its consequences are less harmful to those who suffer in captivity than to the Nation whose laws allow slavery. It is a cancer that devours its morality."
His brother in arms, Bonifacio tells Pedro's blood brother and his sisters, ""Dom Pedro did not die. Only ordinary men die, not heroes."
if the will of D. is the inevitable rise of heroism and change, and those who carry the D. are literally destined heroes, then perhaps it is only right for Imu, the king of the World as of current to be terrified of this lineage
I think if it may be something plausible, just its going to be a twist. Like his hair or something.
Burgess was going to do w.e. teach did to get sabos fruit. They're all doing what teach did. Just can do it once unlike teaches multiple fruits.
Since death = df reincarnation soon. Im betting its something like eat something like a piece of hair or drink his blood.
Bm got Carmells fruit from the implied madness where she ate everyone.
I just dont think it needs all that. It'll be something the fruit is attached to like blood. Since greenblood can give fruit powers, like vp showed us.
Will of D isnt the actions. Its how WB described it in his death. Its more a reincarnation of the embodiment of the persons spirit. Which would also be why a D getting the Gum Gum fruit and it awakening to Nika. Is something only someone who carry Nikas spirit can do. Joyboy and luffy are tied in spirit and will. While I do believe it is Will of D.
I dont believe will of D is heroism or how you put it. Thats all completely secondary and is a attribute to the D members. Where its like were told, theyre embers of a flame that hasnt been completely extinguished(wB i believe). That those of the D truly dont understand what it means(imu).
Its that Imu wiped the world, erased history, and tried to completely eradicate those who carried the D. Yet those who carry it all dont understand the D. The actions they do and its impact to the wgs goals are led by their own spirit tied to the bloodline. Something that keeps getting passed down, while it doesnt have to be genetically. Just that its a trait passed down between those who took up the D long ago.
Hence why they dont know, but the actions they take always seems to be against the wgs intrest. All setup by other Ds who had passed and created opportunities for other Ds to do the same.
my theory on how oda foreshadowed akainu as final villain where he will kill imu and black beard make world government righteous before being killed by luffy who is controlled and corrupted by his devil fruit:Oda has consistently shown Akainu’s growing resentment toward the World Government’s leadership. In Chapter 793, Akainu furiously tells the Gorosei they have become "puppets" of the Celestial Dragons. This sets the stage for a military coup, where Akainu decides that for "Justice" to be "Absolute," he must remove the incompetent elites.
The Rise of the Final Villain
During the final war, Akainu executes a ruthless strategy:
The Purge: He kills Imu, viewing a "Shadow King" as an affront to the transparency of his iron-fisted law.
The Execution: He eliminates Blackbeard, the embodiment of pirate chaos, using his superior offensive magma power to "cleanse" the seas.
The Result: Akainu restructures the World Government into a "Righteous" totalitarian state—free of corruption and pirates, but devoid of all personal freedom.
The Tragic Climax
The "final boss" battle is a subversion of the hero's journey:
Corrupted Nika: Luffy awakens his fruit to its limit, but the "Will of Zoan" takes over. He becomes a mindless "Sun God," a force of pure, destructive chaos.
The Final Scar: To save the world from a corrupted God, Akainu (the ultimate Order) must kill Luffy (the ultimate Chaos).
This fulfills the prophecy of the "Dawn" in a dark way: the world is saved from pirates and gods, but left under the eternal, burning light of Sakazuki’s "Absolute Justice."
Akainu agenda at its peak
Akainu as final boss theory is actually sense. Remember he's the one who killed Ace.
I seen few theory on X about Nami.. What if she actually Birka descendant and I know Luffy is awaken his Devil Fruit known as Sun God.. Just wonder there is behind the backstory of that where she born in the Kingdom and got seperated from her parents that Bell'mere found her.
Nami is the only character who doesn't have a background other than she was an orphan like her older sister. So I'm hoping Oda doesn't do what he did with Zoro and just forget to make her back story important.
Agree to disagree, tbh I think it's likely more mystery about her that if it is not important then what it will be, I assume he forget about the Oykot Kingdom sudden is the result cause this. I would be pissed off
It would be a real bummer too because nami and Zoro were the first 2 crew members and zoros family history wasnt mentioned in wano when it would have been the most relevant. I would hate to see the same thing happen to nami.
tbh oda did not mention it as a separate backstory and that's because they wasn't a need, he did imply that zoro ancestors are from wano which should be enough
Yeah but given everyone else had a more comprehensive back ground story, I felt Zoro and his clan that left wano would be delved into more, we might see it in the future, but Netflix did have the special where the samuria that became zombie had his own adventure.
oda did had to leave a bunch of stuff out due to his schedule so i think that's part of the reason why his backstory was implied and not given some separate chapters
I think he did an sbs telling us about zoros background.
Aight bro ts definitely happening
Theory/Prediction Sai possesses CoC and Doffy becoming a Holy Knight
I was just rereading Dressrosa arc, what if the Drill Kick Sai achieved during the final fight was actually Conquerers Haki imbued into his kick? When he landed the kick on G there was Blue Lightning and the ground shattered..
I would further argue that the fact that Don Chinjao used to battle prime Garp, who was a well known CoC puncher in his days so them clashing as know CoC, would solidify this assumption…
All in all
Sai achieved a level which we haven’t truly discovered during that time and by looking back with the knowledge we have now, its safe to say that Sai possesses CoC and imbues his kicks with it…
Another prediction, the way on how Oda portrayed Doffy, he would fit the ranks of a Holy Knight tremendously well!!! The last time we saw him, he was saying something along the lines of,, they are coming after me‘‘
So what if those who came down to Imple Down were actually Holy Knights freeing Doffy and offering him a spot as a Knight of God!
why Doffy makes sense:
-he is basically IMU jr by plotting everything like Imu..
-he sees everyone below him..
-he is CoC user, the only ability the Knights lack!
-Imu was trying to recruit another chained man on Elbaph, so why not try recruiting another chained outlaw?
-Oda has his way on reintroducing old foes in an updated version, Lucci from CP9 to CP0 with an awakened Zoan, Crocodile from an weakass Shichibukai to a Yonko caliber mind, so why not bring back a fan favourite, Mista Cruelty Doflamingo!!??
Hence my prediction, Doffy is getting a promotion and will be a member of the Holy Knights! Since Imu is about to lose some of them on Elbaph, he will be in need of backup and Doffy is one of its kind to fulfill that spot!!
its been foreshadowed since the beginning. any one with reading comprehnsion can see the cliche that is about to happen. Akainu killed ace its obvius luffy is gonna get revenge on him as final villian rather then using akainu as some table merchant like others claim. He will have his role as the final villian
I said it's happening bro..
mb thought you were one of the haters
does akainu has contract with imu ?
The day Akainu becomes final villain/hero tag me .From that day I will follow you for rest of my life 😂😂
About Doffy I wonder how oda will powerscale him after joining Hk cause G4 luffy had already defeated probable strongest version of Doffy .I say it strongest version cause he had great mastery over his df and was also awakened . Also current zoro could also easily defeat Doffy imo . You can argue that shallow mark might give him more strength or thr immortality thing make him strong etc but do you think he would be a good opponent for post Elbaph monster trio?
That's the only question I have in mind and personally I too feel Doffy might make a return and it wouldn't be that shocking for most readers as well but for me it definitely isn't what is likely to happen.
I think Blackbeard can defeat the God’s Knight’s and even the Gorosei is by using his Darkness fruit thereby nullifying their devil power and by extension their regeneration. This wouldn’t require ACoC in case he doesn’t have it by this point.
Now this would obviously damage Imu, but I remember them explaining his fruit when he was introduced saying it draws EVERYTHING in, this means things that can damage Blackbeard. This is why he takes double damage from attacks, a double edged sword obviously.
With this in mind what could Blackbeard absorb that could potentially be deadly when fighting the Gorosei and Gods Knights? I think he might absorb the covenant aspect of the power and then be able to be Domi Reversi’d by Imu…
bro its not an outlandish theory like the mainstream dumb idiot theorist think it is. I have reread one piece 5 times even on my first read I could see what oda was cooking
a
no, he is unaware of imu at the moment so im not so sure how oda will write that part but i would assume he attacks gorosei first before figuring out imus existence and then fighting imu
I am not against Akainu in my eyes as well he is gonna be important character but him Killing Imu and bb and then luffy getting overtaken by will of his zoan df and Akainu fighting corrupted nika is just upsurdity
I have to agree there, actually one thing im very curious about in the final war is whos going to fight who, im not even sure who'll fight Blackbeard, my bets are on Shanks or Luffy's crew? It'd be cool to have the remnants of the Whitebeard pirates help take down Teach aswell though...
Brook was an ancient Holy Knight or servant of Imu. This is why those cult leaders summoned him with the pentagram. It was probably the deep deep sea contract since the connection exists even after his flesh with the tattoo melted away. This also implies Imu could control Brook when they realize who he is.
Absurdity*
There’s a very limited amount of covenants Imu can create on that level. Even assuming somehow Imu wouldn’t be able to feel Brook’s presence this whole time, they would have realized something was up when they tried to fill his slot.
Either Brook found a way to be released from the contract, or more likely he never had one to begin with
It would've been a shallow seal contract tbh
Gunko had her positive memories of Brook suppressed when she was taken, presumably by the knights. All the evidence paints Brook and the HK’s on opposite sides
Also notice when Harald was getting the Deep sea contract.
They explicitly said that he gets an "Immortal Body" Not that he can travel through the abyss circles. If that was something that came with the Deep sea pact, The Gorosei and Imu would've stated it already
If knights like Killingham and Sommers can travel with the abyss, Harald could
when was it shown Imu can only do a limited amount of covenants?
around the time Harald got his. The number is 13, fittingly
i would guess the contract powers stacks
For the higher tier ones
I'm talking about the shallow sea contract
Tier 2 makes you a full fledged knight, and we see normal knights travel through the abyss. The highest tier is probably reserved for elders or knight commanders. Special people
I understand that. What I was saying is that I think people with the shallow sea contract (like Shanks ) could go through the abyss circles
Okay, you were going the opposite direction than I thought, my bad.
I don’t think shallows devotees can teleport because of Shanks. How can you go missing in action if they could teleport him back at any time? Shanks implied the only thing he had to worry about was being too close to imu
We know from Killingham and Sommers that one of the abyss powers is being able to be summoned, without consent, by a superior. If there was any teleportation allowed by the shallows mark, that type of summoning would be included. But Shanks sailed around without a worry for years.
Wasn't there a range issue? His mark was lower but he had to be in range of the circle to be summoned? Probably why he was out at sea all the time.
No nothing like that has ever been stated. Even if that’s the case, Shanks was lingering around Ourest castle in extreme proximity to an abyss mark after the Harald fight. No indication that Imu was aware of his presence and no one tried to summon him home
1152 had Mark of the Abyss" (or "demon mark") on his left arm that required him to be within range of a "demon circle" (Abyss summoning circle) to be controlled by Imu.
Since Imu was trying to control herald I assume he couldn't control shanks at that point.
Safe assumption. In 1169 Shanks mentioned he needs to be in range of Imu, but doesn’t elaborate what that is. It’s not mentioned if he has to be near an abyss mark, and like you said he’s been pretty close to one all through the fight and in aftermath without trouble.
Maybe being near Gunkimu would give him trouble. Besides that we just know being on the holy land was problematic
Probably been mentioned before but the theory that luffy met the man with the burn scar pretty early on. Luffy before he gets caught in a giant whirlpool “the weather is so nice” and it is said anyone who sails near the man with the burn scar is swallowed up by giant whirlpools.
He also has the final poneglyph from fishman island so he might be a fishman. Honestly might be that one fishman from Roger’s crew
the man with burn scar is a mystery over all, but if we had to think of someone it could be someone from rogers crew and also a fishman tbh, creating literal whirlpools can be done by a fishman
i think soo too
Swore it was like if hes at marijose hed be in range. Him not there isnt.
Dunno about Gunko since vessel for imu seems different
whirlpool like currents we know can transport people across the grand line very quickly, like the white strom. It could bring the strawhats to lodestar or start of grandline very quickly. The burn scar is interesting because he works as a plot transportation device to shift strawhats around as needed.
Okay here is a long form theory on why I think Brook being sent to Namakura island is so suspicious.
Well as you know, at the end of the Sabody Archipelago arc in One Piece, Kuma sent each of the straw hats to different places where they could train. However, the Place where Kuma sent Brook I would consider to be one of the most peculiar.
For example, we can easily get an idea of why each character was sent to their particular location. Luffy for Haki Training, Zoro for Swordsmanship, Nami for weather, Franky for Technology, Chopper For medicine, Sanji for cooking, Ussop for his Pop Greens, and Robin for her knowledge yet Brook, his "training" for the last two years was him becoming a famous musician where the abilities he learnt was discovered outside of that island
Coupled with the fact that Brook landed straight into a Pentagram circle where the island were literally trying to summon Satan, we all tough that was a one time thing until we start to see the Gorosei spawning from pentagram circles and a posessed Gunko growing demon wings and a tail...
interesting the Namakura symbol looks more like the symbol where the 5 elders reside then an abyss symbol.
Looks different to me
Probably why it didn't work
there might be something about 8 points vs 5 points, and what significance that holds from ancient times.
but you gotta ask, when exactly did Kuma wen to Namakura
the One piece wiki entry in the trivia section literally stated "It is likely that, at some point, Kuma visited this island, where he would later on send Brook, as he did with the other Straw Hat Pirates, during the events of Chapter 1099."
Essentially Kuma knows way more about the one piece plot and world than what was state before
Kuma has the book
The book of knowledge bestowed upon him by some one great maybe even greater than Roger himself.
Wut did I just write
Isn’t there pretty good evidence that it’s Dragon? He could be marked by flames in a sense if he has a dragon fruit and his ship is also black like they said. In addition, it’s likely Dragon can control the weather with his powers so it wouldn’t be crazy to think he could make whirlpools
Dagon has the fruit wind wind
i mean only the thing that dragon can control weather is the evidence for him being that man
And his ship is black
It’s more than likely not simply a wind logia, but a mythical Zoan that can control wind/weather
Yes
When it is appears its start rainig an wind and he turn east
could be of a mythical dragon like creature which could change weather, could be from different mythologies
Either dragon has a wind or weather logia or have a weapon that has a wind or weather logia
Dragon having the Quetzalcoatl fruit would make sense. With regards to the mural, his powers, his name.
And there is more evidence for the first one
Still wonder why Oda hasn't revealed it yet
Like he could've gotten it on God valley, but we know he got it later on
I feel like it’s got to do with the tattoo on his face. He had the same symbol on his leg band in one of his flashbacks on egghead I believe. Maybe it’s a tribes sigil or something. Perhaps in the sky?
I was also thinking about Kaido and how his Tattoo of scales foreshadowed his devil fruit.
What if you use your Zoan devil fruit enough it starts to change/mark your original body.
Kind of similar to Haki with regards to armament Haki eventually permanently coating a blade or any object (maybe Loki’s Hammer) black through continuous use of armament?
I know for a fact that tattoo isn't ftomGato's side of trh Family, it was most likely his mother's side
Whose tattoo? Dragon got his sometime after the egghead flashback of Ohara’s demise right?
Dragon
He also had a tatoo when he was in the marines
Dragon had a band around his arm/leg that eventually he got as a tattoo. It is likely connected to moon people.
He didn’t have his face tattoo when he was in the marines, he got it much later
He had a tattoo around his upper arm
Maybe that is a tattoo I thought it was the same band that he wore around his leg later in the Ohara flashback
wasnt a tattoo
huh, now that I look at it again, it might be a tattoo
He wears the band around his leg, so hard to tell from a sketch.
Imagine if the quantum pancakes started debating the ethics of invisible spaghetti while the fluorescent turtles moonwalked through a kaleidoscope of forgotten socks. Meanwhile, the philosophical toaster refuses to toast anything but paradoxes, and somewhere in the distance, a confused giraffe is busy knitting a sweater out of existential hiccups. If the clouds decide to juggle invisible pineapples, does the universe hiccup in Morse code or just take a nap on a rainbow made of spaghetti? Honestly, I think the platypus just filed a complaint about the time-traveling bananas stealing its spotlight.
look at his 17 byear old self
I just said it might be a tattoo lol
I think there’s a good chance he’s the man marked by flames
Would bring the RA to the forefront of the story
I guess everyone know dragon, why would Kid know him by "the man marked by the flame"
Here's why I think Tritoma is both Luffy’s mom AND “the ‘man’ with the burn scar”.
The term ‘man’ can be interpreted as either exclusively male or as a synonym for ‘human’. I think the latter is used by Oda to maximally confuse people and prevent them from figuring out the secret.
When reading the amazon lily arc, Gloriosa talks about the former empress, who was said to have ‘died’ from a love sickness. It left her heart burned by love. I think she did not die, but rather escaped to the sea to find her loved one, having been forgotten over the years (“when does a man die? When they are forgotten”). It was also mentioned time and time again, that love is always a hurricane, especially by Hancock, the later empress. Hurricanes are moving above the sea and can induce water movement, leading to smaller whirlpools. Hancock herself is also often seen whirling around during her attacks, this may be a more common theme among amazon lily empresses/fighters. The thematic ‘love’ and ‘whirls’ are often mentioned in the Egghead and Elbaph arc. “Power of love”, Sanji being the younger version of an axe wielding/whirling Gaban, who is known as the “Minister of love”.
Oda mentioned that mothers are the opposite of adventure, so in a sense mothers prevent adventures. If Tritoma was Luffy’s mom and she was “the ‘man’ marked by flames”, then by hiding the poneglyph she would prevent the biggest adventure of them all.
In the first chapter of one piece a large whirlpool is seen next to Luffy’s ship. It is possible, that Tritoma was watching over her son in East Blue, her emotions leading to a whirlpool. This would mean on her way to East Blue she must have come by Fishman Island, where she would have had the opportunity to snatch the poneglyph.
The “pitch black ship” could be a parting gift from Dragon, whose ship looked pretty black, at least in the anime flashback.
So, what do you think?
Oda already said Luffy's mom won't have a major impact on the story. Her being the burn scar man would be weird after him stating that
Oda is a liar.
she doesn't necessarily have a large impact. Gaban could just guide the SHs to her and then they copy the poneglyph and say goodbye again
Eh still seems very farfetched. Especially cause everyone is seemingly looking for the burn scar. So It'll have a big impact regardless.
but according to oda one piece should be over by now I think. I don't care too much but I at least wanted to throw this one out. I have no preference!
that being said, I don't know for how long people were so sure the guy drinking with croccus was shikki. these things happen.
Mom being from Skypia Shandia warriors kinda would makes sense because of the face tattoo and this band, sun god being born close to the sun
Garp also resembles quite a few Shandia people. the old chief with the animal hat, Kalgara with his iron ball on a chain. he's only missing wings.
They are friends
The japanese specifies its a male
For me, I'm just waiting to see dragon's backstory to see if Oda will actually give us a hint about who Luffy's mom could be
Like where was he staying 20 years prior
I really do think the person Tritoma fell in love with will be significant to the story
because if sho she fell in love with wasn't significant, Oda would've revealed it in an SBS already
me too and feel like might be flashback middle of lodestar or final war.. been a forever
The best time would be when we turn to Marie Geoise to see it burning
I have a feeling that they will add backstory about how did Gloriosa found Gorgon sisters then meet Ray and Shakky then return to the island and meet Tritoma
Hancock being Rayleigh daughter entirely possible
Guys oda said when a pirate with an eye patch appears the series will be close to ending yeah? We obviously see shanks with an eye patch in his backstory but in dressrosa or somewhere close to that point I remember seeing a side character and he was a pirate with an eye patch....
Silence pleb with the reading comprehension of a donkey
U clearly skipped all of one piece until wano
Nvm I’m being harsh I take back what I said
I don't think so. if they does actually, would be bad idea. Rayleigh won't let their kids become CD or slaves
Rayleigh helped rescue them when they escaped
Dragon and kuma didn't save Ginny. It is rare we see people go into holy land. It's generally a fight with admirals and holy knights.
Don’t worry. Penguin is just trying to peddle trans shit into one piece
you mean I invented Ivankov and the okamas? maybe you should just relax and open a window from time to time 🙂
so far only Zoan fruit that merged with object so what about paramecia maybe Blackbeard didn't eat it he merged it in his ring
I think it holds no water because your assuming a western perspective on something that should be read from a japanese perspective. While treating it as more ambiguous than it is.
If there was 2+ more examples of this type of language used the same way prior to other revels itd be valid. Sadly there is none and "man with burn scar" is what its sounds like.
Plus oda hates mums so I highly doubt it
Doesn't hate but they hold a different point in the story. They're not the one who develops the character into leading them on the quest. That is done by the father figure archetype.
Odas made a few remarks about how he places mother's and their purpose in characters lives. Its all secondary to the journey. The mother is what raises and nurtures. Which is why we see alot of them protecting and dying. Not being the character who spurs the journey and pushes the character further, outside the psycho Big mom whos kids are a extension of her and her goals.
"Oda Sensei, what is the opposite of adventure for you?"
"mother"
it's in an interview
I could see if Imu was a mother figure and that could work with the fact she does not want anyone to have adventures but I can't see more than this
yeah I noticed
unlike Naruto or other anime/manga but fair enough typical of him
Do you guys think that hair colour has a meaning in One Piece?
Oda said the man w the scar is not tritoma
Yes buggy is rocks son they have the same haircut and style and we know oda is foreshadowing
Imu is the mother of rufy...
Perfect time for a potential reveal of Luffy's mom would be in Dragon's dedicated backstory
Just thought about this, what if Raginir is a weapon that’s from the void century and Chopper’s ability to speak to animals might be the reason we get hear a small bit about the missing lore during at that time.
Yep
Shanks wasn’t wearing an eyepatch
did he?
Maybe..
Shows lineage.
Like Perona and Toko being obv related now we know Moria is from Wano.
Shanks/Shamrock his mom
We see a few other examples but its more just helps allude to family line than any real importance other than thematic
well ragnir could be from void century as it was guarding loki's df from a long time, harald mentioned that old kings tried to aquire that df but failed due to ragnir, so ig it guarding the df from when joyboy and his allies lost and the fruit could very well be sitting there from 800 years
I assumed its from Void or B4. Sounded like Harald had tried to use it but couldnt and wrote it off.
However I would imagine its also waiting for a specific type of Giant. Like Loki and his eyes and being a animal lover. Where it was just a matter of time till a new Prince was born with his traits. I do wonder if the eyes matter much to it all.
i assume it to be a non trait thing, when loki dealt the blow to ragnir it is shown to have a head bump/injury , it could be a thing merely based on power of the giant, loki couldn't have defeated harald as a god knight, but he defeated harald when he got that df, and harald also said that kings before him couldn't manage to get that df, and he also said that as he is now he can surely aquire the df, or it could also be both the things, ragnir could only be defeated by a kind of giant that loki is, but surely power is like 90-95% of the thing that required loki to get hold of his df
I’m having this theory since we’ve seen Polo meeting white beard. What if polo isn’t Marco’s father but Marco himself. Marco has the phoenix Devil fruit. Phoenix can reborn from their ashes. Polo died and reborn in his own ashes as Marco. Then White beard took the new born baby and raised him like his own son.
Thats not the first time thats been said
I was one of the first to said it in here when we saw Polo lol ( not the only one though, many had the same idea )
So....this has probably been said before, but....
What if the Ancient Kingdom was a kingdom of non humans, and the 20 kingdoms were those of humans wanting to enslave the non humans out of fear or pride or both?
I think I found a mistake in one piece. so in episode 316, when shanks gave whitebeard the booze, shanks said “this is booze from my hometown, (in the west blue).” And god valley was his home town, but god valley was deleted by imu.
But ofc, this is like a 20 year gap between that episode and god valley flashback
maybe some kind of memories remain from the hometown, like it's signature booze could have been available in other regions of west blue too
He was just born when his hometown (god valley) was destroyed. Then travelled on Roger’s ship from there on
Rewatching saturn getting stripped of his immortality, it almost sounds like he is gargling in his wails… like hes drowning. Not sure what to make of that or what it might mean
For the people complaining about luffy being too unserious and not having enough pain and hardship now gear 5 exists, hear me out.
A - Imu is right fucking there on elbaf. Imagine maybe a ton of the straw hats team up to beat a holy knight, then usopp finishes him off. Luffys doing some ass getting kicked by imu, usopp does some shit then imus like fuck it and kills usopp
This is what's known as my schizo please let usopp do something cool for the first time in 12 years then die cope.
Also shanks is still gonna die so there
sure it was destroyed i get ur point but one piece is going on in equivalent to 1500s of our world, and back then where u r born is ur homeland ig
Yea, but the error I’m trying to say is that Shanks said “no booze is better made from the water I GREW UP with”
He didnt grow up in west blue. But oh well it’s a 20 year gap, between that scene and god valley
i doubt he will directly betray the straw hats, but considering the thing that he had ties to the holy knights and none of the straw hats knew could also be counted as a betrayal. But i guess he will be with straw hats and fight alongside them, he could also be a major plot and reveal how really u can defeat god knights and imu, brook has long lost his ties to them ig, like he was with rumbar pirates and if he was actually that much wanted of a man then he could've had a larger bounty than 33 million (even considering the inflation) i would say it could be at the most 50mil of a bounty which is not that much considering someone sailing in grand line, i mean to demonstrate the point that either world govt. was unknown of brook or something more complicated of a story like he didn't had a bond with imu and he saw the truth of the world govt. and despised them and like wanted freedom from them, and ran away and was long lost for imu and others, but who knows what could've happened, but brook betraying straw hats doesn't really seem the case, there are a lot of moments when brook shows loyalty to luffy
I dont see oda making any of the straw hats betray one another, it just doesnt feel like that kind of story or what he would do. I'm guessing brook is going to find junko and try to snap her out of her possession
i doubt he can snap her out of possession considering that imu literally killed saturn without lifting a finger, but it could be a major thing like he could remember his past and reveal some things about holyknights
i might be reaching but do you guys the celestial dragon hair means anything
like some of them have hair styled as the top of a fruit left part of the green thing ontop of the devil fruits
Law already has COC!!!
Oda told me when Law used massed haki it was conquers haki.
The reason is because normal armament haki is when you use it on your self to negate devil fruits, law did more than that. Law was able to apply his haki on his crew mates as well so they can change from female to male.
A normal conquer blast is when you put your will onto someone else knocking them out. That what law did. He put his will or his COC on his crew mates to negate the effect of the devil fruits.
The reason this is COC and not normal armament haki is we have seen Joyboy and Shanks do something similar or the same thing to what Law did.
"Oda told me"
you know I'm right
Right or wrong aside. Oda told me

just discovered something interesting so the giant in eggheads name is emet right. so there's this old story it's Jewish folklore that this guy his name was Judah Loew ben Bezalel and he made a golem it's name was emet and it's got me wondering if the story could have more clues about what happened in the past if oda could be hinting at something by just the name or he was just inspired either way I thought it was interesting enough to share
The power to turn nightmares into reality
Why do I feel like that might backfire?backfired?
I feel like some of the kids may either see luffy or bonney go g5
This'll make some of the kids dream up a dream g5 luffy or bonney
i feel like this might not be possible, bcoz killingham made only there nightmares true and now they are wrecking elbaf, but if they try to see their nightmares as their saviours they could just disappear or mybe have no effect, but turning against seems not possible in my view
The devil fruit is dream powers. Right now it is used to create nightmares, but it likely could also create hopeful dreams as well. It is just the CDs lean towards the darker/fear purpse, so there could be a reversal of some type.
Since Enel is obviously parallel to Imu, it seems pretty clear that the Wyper in this analogy is Blackbeard, which I think strengthens my theory that Blackbeard’s arc ends with him as a Luffy ally.
The descendant of a great warrior who reveres his ancestry and initially tries to beat Luffy for his own revolutionary goals, until realizing they share an enemy.
I dont think that parallel works. Wyper is one of the forces against Enel who eventually teamed up to overthrow him, and Wyper recognized Gan Fall as God. Blackbeard seeks to take the throne himself. Wyper never had that ambition to be a king. Monkey D Dragon is my personal parallel for Wyper.
Wyper and Blackbeard both intend to reclaim their ancestral throne thats it
idk why u think a character can only have 1 parallel
I don't think that is canon. Wyper had no interest in a throne or power. His goal was liberation of his people and was willing ti sacrifice himself to do it. My point was just what the characters actual goals were can help the parallels.
ur entirely missing the point over semantics. he was trying to steal the upper yard back from Enel. thats the parallel. miss it if u rlly rlly want to but like Blackbeard and Wyper’s intro’s are like 5 seconds apart. the point of the parallel os the same as all the other dozens of characters Luffy fights before recruiting, its foreshadowing the twist of Luffy and BB working together
Usopp has Conqueror's Haki to a basic level
Usopp's always been a character with quite some potential, he had a worthy cause for his lying back in Syrup village where his cries for pirates was for his dad to one day arrive and let him onboard a pirate ship for him to actually be a pirate, he was a captain of an albeit fake pirate crew where it was just three village kids but he crafted stories, such as pursuinng Cerberus, capturing a dragon, showcasing his excellent marksmanship, and he empowered his crewmates before disbanding the Usopp pirates to "keep the fires of those dreams alive" (Chp 40)
At chapter 29 Nami's eyes are horrified as Usopp screams at the pirates marching towards his town where they suddenly fall back, much like the powers of Conqueror's Haki did in terms of knocking weak willed people to the ground, even Zoro and Luffy arriving coincidentally at that time go "what WAS that"
Elbaf is Usopp's arc because he was introduced as a person who could sway and empower children, he could craft elaborate stories, some of which are lies that actually come true (in fact it's alarmingly prophetic at this point)
His three child crewmates held the dreams , Master Carpenter, Tavern Owner, and to be a Novellist
His three most important arcs was:
Water 7, where we find Franky the Shipwright who happens to have a mastery in Carpentry
He was pivotal in Luffy defeating the Baroque Works agents where he burned Luffy shirt to free him from the paint curses, shot at Mr 5 to the point where he was uninvolved in Luffy vs Mr. 3, and he withstanded the Ms Valentine's Kilo kilo fruit long enough to guide Luffy to set his own crew on fire to free them from being Wax statues as well the Giants. (120-126)
He stubbornly wished too become a captain of the Straw Hats even though Luffy was already there, meaning he at least had the aspirations of being a leader, in Little Garden he saved the half-waxed Straw Hats and Vivi, and was equally as offended and outraged by the giants' duel being jeopardised by an explosive Ale, Luffy and Usopp care the most about Honour and the glory of fighting in that sense.
With his beliefs in Honour, his ability to form a crew and lead it through many (albeit low-scale) pirating operations, his strange moment with the Black Cat pirate raid, and his strategem, sudden but resolved rivalry with Luffy and his ties to the Merry Go, whose voice and dying words were heard only because certain members of the crew cared for it, in the midst of it's viking funeral it spoke to the crew in a fashion similar to the Sea Kings speaking to Roger and Oden, perhaps when things with the willpower and 'soul' are uniquely able to speak in a state where which speech is usually incapable, and those who are strong-willed and reliably heroic enough to deliver help the faintest cries for it wishes so desperately to be heard.
Usopp is a prime candidate to be seen as a Conqueror's Haki user but specifically in a situation where it is hopeless, where he's backed into a corner and there is no greater person to help him, no Luffy, no Zoro etc.
And there is no better a situation for him to showcase his ability to step up then when there is spirit altering demonic possessions and the children of an honourable, warrior clan are being weaponised as nightmare creature manufacturers.
Dont forget he also persuades giants at ennies lobby to back up luffy and co.
The more I watch marineford the more I think if only there was someone with a doctor devil fruit.... o wait
yup n he’s taking his fruit
Buggy is the man with the burn scar/ the last poneglyph
any evidence/pointers to why you think that?
Usopp is trash. Not all of the crew need conquer haki. It takes away from zoro and sanji having it when a useless character like Usopp can have it 🤷🏻♂️
Good argument also it doesnt fit his character at all
no, not all of the crew needs it, Usopp is a special case because he wasn't useless in a combative sense like what he was branded to be in the "weakling trio"
Since.Water 7 Usopp has been more of a gimmick character, he doesn't act independently and is just a cowardly member who fails upwards like how he scared Sugar to the point where her toy control was released, he was depressed to the point where depression ghosts didn't faze him.
that Usopp is nowhere near a Conqueror, but in early One Piece he was known that when his powder shots failed him and it looked like he was out of the fight he would somehow turn the fight as he fell.
Notably he was allowed to be brave when he took the Moniker of Sogeking because the anonymity gave him freedom, he wasn't a known wimp or coward, he wasn't Usopp the 'fibber'
I'm not saying every single crew member should get it, but if Oda really is working with Parallels and we're borrowing themes from Early One Piece, Usopp and the hints i've pointed out may come into fruition
Useless characters don't exist when they're the crew of an emperor, much less the main character
If we had the One Piece story in the eyes of Shanks, Lucky Roux would be talked about like Jimbe, but to us when the Straw Hats are there, he's just a fat guy with a pistol that moves fast and doesn't grt knocked out when Shanks uses his haki
i have got a thint abt chopper's devil fruit, i don't really know if this thing has been around but if we see all his other forms (except hybrid, reindeer, human) could be partial awakenings of his human human fruit, think about what a human's desire/will could be, it could be something that it wants, hence a wide variety of things or a limitless ability, when he used rumble balls he basically supresses the devil fruit partially and becomes partially what he wants to be , for example when he uses guard point it is to protect someone, when he uses muscle point his desire is to do heavy work, when he uses horn point he basically wants to just spread and do smth with his horns and similarly while using brain point his task is to max out his intelligence and do extensive iq things, pre timeskip he was only able to use them while using rumble balls, and post timeskip his will increased towards straw hats and could ultimately supress the df by himself although still partially (will explain later) , and previously using monster point had the whole reason just to wreck everything when he was unable to do something by himself, post timeskip it has the reason to just protect ig or maybe become giant like to similarly do somethings, chopper's awakening might not be only monster point but become whatever he wishes to do, and moreover it might not be able to be only reached by df as supressing df only by a medicine ?? idts. So in future when there is need to use his powers to the max extreme he might awaken to fight and have bodily features of whatever might benifit him
come to ur own conclusions

In the beginning of Elbaf, Broggy showed the 'sunstone' painting tool used to create rainbows in order to navigate up to Elbaf (chapter 1132). If you look at SBS 64, this is the same stone Urouge holds as a child. Oda claims this is the big mystery about him on the vivre card.
-
Monks are typically Buddhist and in Buddhism, the ultimate "realisation" is the RAINBOW BODY, where the physical body turns into light. It requires lots of "meditation and visualisation", which we've seen Urouge do on balloon terminal, in Kaido's introduction.
-
There are 3 steps in achieving this body. First is Nirmanakaya, where the physical body is transformed into light, leaving behind only hair, nails, and clothing. Obviously Oda can't make Luffy invisible cause Shueisha want their merch to sell well and he always puts his own inspiration of stuff so it might be slightly altered.
-
The second is Sambhogakaya, where you can communicate with other enlightened beings. This might be a stretch but I think the Voice of All Things might be connected to this. Maybe it's a type of Buddha speaking to him?
-
Lastly, Dharmakaya, where it's the highest level of spiritual phenomenon and realisation. This is where 'true nature of reality and have transcended all limitations of the physical and mental realm', connecting with Luffy's ability to create things from his imagination and turn into a Tom and Jerry psycho. All liberation is complete.
-
After Elbaf, I believe Urouge will teach Luffy how to reach a Rainbow Body state using Gear 5 and reveal the powers that his giant weapon, the pencil holds. In SBS Oda suggested that it needs a sharpener and what better place than the giant walrus school on Elbaf.
-
In Buddhism, they believe in Dharma, the cosmic law of karma. Luffy's kindness will be rewarded to him in the future of the series. I believe to combat the Mother Flame which the WG have, Luffy will turn into a powerful light source at the end of the series to create a New Dawn.
Joyboy had red hair, and davy jones had flames for hair (probably from the motherflame)
That’s honestly debatable
Like technically, anyone with strong enough willpower can awaken conquerors
Roger had like 3 or more people on his crew with conquerors so it would make sense if luffy had the same amount or more
That’s fine but it doesn’t need to be unworthy useless characters
I mean Kidd has it lol 😂
since ur hip to Buddhism, have u heard of the hoju?
Stupid little theory number: yes
Everyone in Mary Geoise is a dormant army of Imu.
Apparently, Domi Reversi, the technique with which Imu can turn someone into a demon, can only be performed in that person's homeland; Rocks and his family were turned into demons in God Valley because they came from there, as were Dorry, Brogy, and the other giants of Elbaph.
This made me think about the Celestial Dragons. They live in the sacred land of Mary Geoise, where virtually all Celestial Dragons are born and live, a sacred land where Imu also resides. Considering what I've already mentioned, we'd be talking about Imu having at their disposal an entire army composed of the descendants of 19 of the 20 monarchs who founded the World Government. And I actually thought a little more about that, something that might be less likely to happen, but that still made me consider it.
The slaves of the Celestial Dragons are forcibly branded with the "Hoof of the Soaring Dragon", turning them into mere objects of the world nobles. What if the brand serves more than just an act of inhuman cruelty? While not exactly the same, it reminded me somewhat of the Covenant, the pacts made with Imu and manifested as a tattoo-like mark on the person's body. Only in this case, instead of a consensual pact, it would be a forced and unilateral one, allowing Imu to exert their power and will over these "branded" individuals, while the branded person receives nothing in return, simply becoming an asset of the Celestial Dragons.
In conclusion, it's obvious that Imu will be the final boss to defeat, and it's logical to assume that Mary Geoise will be the land where this battle unfolds. Therefore, in my opinion, when that day comes, Imu will exert their will over all of Mary Geoise, transforming the Celestial Dragons and the slaves into a demonic army for the great war that is to come.
Very nice observation about homeland and domi reversi. Did you come to it by yourself?
nice one u got here bro
...
Okay, honestly, I don't know if this is sarcasm or not, and I say this because I'm genuinely confused. I don't even usually support my own theories because I feel like someone else has already thought of them before me
ive heard a similar theory on yt shorts bruv

If this was not your intent I apologize, but all of your sentences can be interpreted that way
Ok guys, I have a theory that the moon is the one piece. Vegapunk said the world will sink and the onepiece will save it or smth. The moon controls the tides and oceans, and enel is there. My theory is that nami will be able to control the moon with her navigation skills.
I'm almost convinced now that when shanks technique of remote haki is fully explained we will get another part of the answer to how imus power fully works... the abyss tattoos are basically relievers for imus haki to seek out and attune to but taken a step further to store inus essence or part of his soul in a vessel (someone's body) to remote puppet them
I th8nk this would further explain why shanks made the comment about being far away (technique gets weaker far away) and would explain that if imu is putting a part of his soul into someone, why he is exhausted and shaken after being forcefully dispelled or if the puppet vess3l dies. A part of imus soul dies with it. Im7 himself said it takes a toll on him with each loss
No I swear I was not meaning that. Sorry if it seemed like it @solemn sable, I just havent thought about that aspect of the known cases of domu reversi until now
No worries.
my train of thought for Rocks being Gunko’s father @cerulean vigil @slate burrow
the shellfish thing was just “i think she’s gonna have a hoju shaped horn, the hoju is a pearl, pearls come from shells”
@raw scarab
@dawn hemlock
this would essentially make Harald’s theme “those who do not learn history are forced to repeat it”
🚂
I'm not sure if I can call this a full fledged theory yet, but I have a strong belief that the "cost" Imu discusses in reference to the abyss contracts is likely time or age. Perhaps the reason we do not see Imu in full is because they're purposefully hiding an appearance which has taken on the weight of age from those contracted to them. It's likely that Imu is the person who was the original subject of the Ope Ope no Mi's eternal youth ability and this allows them essentially spare vitality that they can loan out to those carrying an abyssal seal in different ways. I believe that the various levels of the Covenant are differentiated by how much they borrow from Imu's power in a hierarchy where:
Shallow seals are basically just a marker, probably something Imu uses to track or see through those branded and requires little to no energy on Imu's part to do so (probably why Shanks needed to get rid of it)
Depths seals makes a person part of Imu's body by suffusing them with shadows that draw upon Imu's eternal vitality, regenerating damage but not stopping aging (Garling seems to have aged normally for the long lived humans in One Piece up until he was promoted). If a person with this seal dies suddenly, Imu simply loses that portion of power in a manner that could possibly be recovered over time and with rest.
Abyssal seals share in eternal youth not by returning a person to their youth but locking them in at their current age. At this level Imu is essentially taking on the weight of whatever aging a person would have done, constantly filling their bodies with enough regenerative power to keep them fresh. If given the chance to break the contract themselves as seen with Saturn, that protection is removed and with no further regenerative abilities a person rapidly decays. However if a person with this seal dies suddenly it's possible that Imu does not get the opportunity to return that stolen time to the recipient. With nowhere to return all of those years of aging, Imu is stuck with it themselves. Maybe they can keep themselves young even past this but it then requires more effort on their part.
The final Abyssal seal might further impose an increasing weight on Imu, with it taking more and more energy to fight off the continual progress of years on each Gorosei's body. This would explain is why there's a limit to how many people can have the latter two seals. They have immortality via regeneration and further eternal shared vitality, but that might not prevent the contracts from backfiring on Imu physically when something goes wrong. I would not be surprised to find out that the Gorosei swap members ever so often partially for optics with the Marines, and partially so Imu is not becoming weaker or more aged physically than they're comfortable being from carrying contracts that have gone on for too long.
wow that is a very long theory
The theory is so on point and makes so much sense! So damn interesting
Probably
close enough
uhmm i get ur point, but if i write a theory i expect ppl to react to it, thats how u gonna know if the thing u r saying makes sense or u r just day dreaming, i apologize if my intent was shown in a bad way, i would try to be more constructive next time
I really like the references you use to pull these together. Sometime soon let’s get on VC so I can hear more
I actually beleive in your theory, long before you put it to words, that's the shit i have been thinking from long ago.. with a lot of differences ofcourse. But i love your theory
im down when u are prolly
it got cut out but i was saying the mayer in Manmayer sounds like mare, female horse
Dorey and brogey are now dead if they get released due to injuries. Yay or nay?
feel like its either that or they wake up marked
Aside from Haki. Could Brook’s soul solid be the key to actually harming Imu and those under their demonic covenants? I mean in parallel this reasoning bc of how Brook was able to fight a user of the Soul Soul fruit thanks to using his own soul. As opposed when Luffy tried us g haki to fight Zeus there was no effect as the homie was naturally intangible and yet Brook was able to physical harm him.
I dunno if I should reply to 3 year old comments discussing this when it came out
but it's about luffy's dream
I am by no means the first one to suggest this or find this out
but I recently was reminded of it again, via watching gaimon's island
this particular part always catch people guessing as to what's the point of it. at best it was a tie in to orange town's theme of treasure can be anything.
but it's interesting that the chapter itself is 30 pages for some odd reason. and luffy also genuinely asked gaimon to join his crew because gaimon also have dreams of a grand treasure and what's grander than the one piece, they said.
but the theory comes from gaimon's parting words to luffy where he told him to (in direct translation) BUY THE WORLD. the viz translation goes with make the world your oyster (but we all know how VIZ is sometimes).
luffy wanting to buy the world could make sense in a sense that, he want every part of the world to be "free" to travel/visit/eat in/buy things in. if he bought it all, he and everyone can just freely do so - a tie in to freedom I guess.
I think saying this, can def. elicit the reactions of the crew. from concerned, finding it funny, thinking he is crazy, etc.
it's also something illogical and can be seen as childish, like said by others who heard roger and luffy uttered it.
being the king of the pirates also can be seen as a gateway to achieving that as who else have the grandest treasure, the one piece, that is so valuable it can buy anything, including the world.
I think it's a strong contender. I don't necessarily believe that it will be it, but it might be related to it somehow at the very least.
i think fujitora will betray marines in final war cuz his code name is wisteria tiger.
we already know he doesnt care about the celestial dragons
and
tigers are natural enemy of dragons in easter mythology, we have seen many D. Clan members with tigers (Young GArp, Luffy, Xebec)
wisteria petals in demon slayer were poison to demons, so fujitora is also like poison to the WG as he will destroy them from the inside during the final war considering imu turns others into demons, and someone up there said imu will use the normal celestial dragons as fighters so fujitora can somehow turn the tides
Its becoming increasingly clear how Imu and Luffy are diometrically opposed (their leadership strategies)
Imu's power comes from impossing his will on others giving him control, whereas luffy enforces people to chase what they want, which also give him control via loyalty
What i think is best vs what i think is best for everyone
(Insert One for All vs All for One joke)
When Imu controlled gunko and she wavered, his power also wavered (when brook appeared)
The one way i think Luffy could lose is via betrayal
(As seen with other crews like WB and the scabbards, mutiny is always the enemy of a pirate crew)
and its probably how Joyboy met his end and why Oda continues to use Traitors in his story
"The simple ability to turn those around him into allies"
It also shows us that Imu is an oppresor (in nature and in action, inventing slavery of all things) and servitude
"You shall form a pact with Mu..."
I ain't reading this cause cause there arr high chances of Rocks being born after Gunko 😭😭
brook will fight/talk with gunko, then awaken his fruit. then for the final war, roger, whitebeard, xebec, etc will be revived
reanimation jutsu💀
she's 24 56 years ago
and rocks?
Brook is 90 years old rn and he stated gunko to be 80years old rn .
Also Ig Brool is older than Rocks . So acc to theory Rocks had child at the age less than 10? nah
Rocks is silimiler to age with Roger and Garp so late 70s early 80s
he looks like he’s at least in his 40s for the entire flashback
this and the prior message are unsubstantiated
@icy dagger there’s more than this now if ur interested
how old would rocks be if he was still alive?
I see Loki facing Kuzan in the future
can someone calculate brooks introduction bounty wit inflation with respect to dorry and broggys boynty
i think someone did n its something crazy like 900 million
TL;DR: Brook's Inflation Bounty
- Based on Chapter 1130, where Dorry & Brogy's bounty jumped from 100M to 1.8B over 100 years due to inflation (approx. 3% annual inflation):
- Original: 33,000,000 Berry (issued ~50 years ago).
- Inflation Adjusted: approx. 140,000,000 Berry in today's value.
- Math: Since he was gone for 50 years (half of the Giants' time), the inflation multiplier is roughly √18 (approx. 4.2x) instead of the full 18x.
- Comparison: Even with inflation, his current "Soul King" bounty (383M) is way higher, proving he's much more dangerous now than his old self ever was.
Prepared using Gemini 3 Pro
ooo ty
so basically 80, in the fb rovks looks like mid 40s, not more than 50, god valley was ig 40 years ago, so that would make rocks 10 years older than gunko, so they couldn't be related as father-daughter
but i thought up something interesting, oda wouldn't just put up random guys as of now in brook's flashback, could they have some relevance to the story as of current timeline, like the guy who was killed by gunko, obujin ig, he might have a decent bit relations to today's era or the rocks era, or atleast something that is not only related to brook
I don't think he would be older than 90 .
i spent all last night debunking this logic, if ur basing how old u think he is on his looks, the first time we see him looking like that is 56 years ago. he looks the exact same for the entire flashback. yall keep speculating backwards. all for ppl having different opinions than me but like cmon yall we got this
the word is onjin it just means benefactor/mentor, not his name
u got a point but even in real life, humans typically are harder to distinguish by age during their 30s and 40s , even if he's shown similar all that 16 years of timeline, les take his age to be around 95 at current time, bcoz he would have been aroud 55 at god valley, roger also looked the similar from god valley and till he found one piece, so we can assume there isn't mch aging in 40s and 50s in one piece, so that would make rocks atmost 95-97 years old, even accounting him to be 100 years old at current time, he would only be 20 years older than gunko and seeing the usual trend of people having kids in one piece, it varies a lot, garp had dragon at 23 but dragon had luffy at 36, rogers had ace at early 53 ? so it is kinda in between i mean, it's like u could just have a kid whenever u want but still 20 years, ain't it too young ?
no matter what age you think he looks ur saying he looks that age 56 years ago. of u wanna discount the Rocks is Gunko’s dad theory, “he’s too young” doesn’t work by any metric. and no, 20 years is not too young to have a kid especially if you’re a member pf a rare bloodline and are concerned with continuing your lineage. it would also explain him having multiple children with multiple women throughout his life, which would tie to him being named after a god of impregnation.
Rocks as Princess Shuri's father makes absolutely no sense. The little we know of Gunko/Shuri is that Brook is convinced she killed her father. We literally saw how Rocks died, and we have known canonically, since Rocks was first mentioned, what spin on the story of Rocks' death the WG has been spreading for literal decades (Roger and Garp took him down and nothing else).
There is no need to get our One Piece timelines and compare ages here.
His theory revolves around the fact that rocks was the original holder of the revive fruit.
After his first death - when gunko kills him basically the tragedy brook knows of...the fruit respawned. Which is when brook ate it
And all the story we know about rocks as of yet is from his 2nd life that is when rocks comes back to save gunko and allat shit
That's not how Brook's fruit works...
Well how does it work then and what part of the msg you think I'm wrong with about brook's fruit.
does it not revive you or does it not respawn? Cause we have seen both of these things occur in the series itself
OK, so a lot of people are thinking of power ups brook might get this arc but I’m going to go in the opposite direction and say he’s not getting the power of this arc I 1000% believe this gunko story is all he’s going to get.
which is unfortunate, but this is the most likely reality
yea it is 😃 👍🏿

Brook's fruit allows for 1 ressurrection, and the soul doesn't just get to go into any body just because. Brook died his first death over 50 years before current time. Shanks is younger than that (when Rocks died). So on top of all I said previously, Rocks is not a Soul Soul fruit user, or else Brook would not have had a chance to eat it and Brook would recognize Rocks as his "benefactor".
You are messing up the timelines again. Rocks' first death is supposed to be way back when the actual "gunko killing her father" plot happens which brook is currently talking about so shanks being younger and allat doesn't matter at all.
Now the 2nd part - once rocks died (the first death) the fruit reappeared that is when brook ate it. Also yeah it allows 1 resurrection for EACH user and who said anything about the soul going to a different body?
Lastly brook has only recently admitted that he has a benefactor and it being rocks will be uncovered once we get to their fb
the gv is his final demise
The problem is that you're assuming the fruit reappears at first death. There is no indication that this is true, and actually it makes perfect sense that it doesn't. Luffy died in Wano. Do you think there's 2 hito hito no mis now?
well there's also no indication that it doesn't so I'm assuming what i can to support the theory and unless there's a new info on it which contradicts my assumption it remains valid.
Luffy dying in wano is a different scenario his heartbeat was stopped. This logic of urs wld fuck up entirety of how the devil fruits reappear in the world.
If all brooks devil fruit did was revive him then maybe, but because he has special soul related abilities that tie to his fruit i doubt it
We saw multiple instances of brook detaching his soul from his body, and the power to freeze enemies due to his fruit. Since devil fruits reappear in the world due to the user’s death, Brook needs to die a second time for the fruit to reappear
Besides, Brook clearly calls Gunko Princess, which means by your theory; Rocks was a king.

I feel like shamrock and shanks inheriting their mothers red hair instead of Garlings blonde hair is a symbol that they are human like their mother, so shamrock will also be a good guy. What do you guys think about this?
I don’t think Nika is a god. Nika was an ordinary mortal thousands of years ago that ate the gum gum fruit, and ended up becoming enshrined in legend as a god. I don’t think we will ever see any literal gods in OP, feels like it contradicts some themes.
I believe the gods in one piece don’t believe they are omniscient omnipotent beings, but more like mortal divine beings, like Ancient Greek mythology (kinda). An example could be the land god (I think) in skypiea, which was killed by noland, I’m pretty sure it was still worshipped but nobody thought about it as if it was immortal just that it was protecting their land. I’m pretty sure when noland killed it kalgera said that it was a high crime to kill a god, which makes it seem like he knew it was mortal too. Still that might be true that nika is more like a legend than an actual god
yh i think gods, or at least like, "true gods" in one piece are meant to be more leaders than anything, though they are often powerful. just "strongest guy around" powerful, not divine omnipotent always right divine justice engrained in fate powerful
celestial dragons the kings of the world are gods, false though they are; the ruler of skypiea is known as the kami; the dirt boss and forest boss from gedatsu's cover story seem like they could be parallels to the actual prophecized gods themselves and they're just bosses from their names
No way, its all about upbringing. Shamrock was taught from day one that normal people are garbage. Maybe he can change but he's all in on celestial dragon propaganda right now
Just had an idea

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaldabaoth I believe Imu will have the Hito Hito no mi model: Yaldabaoth. Within Gnosticism tradition, Yaldabaoth is regarded as the creator god of the material plane, and prevents humanity from ascending to a higher more spiritual state. Some traditions describe Yaldabaoth as seeking control, desiring to trap humans within the material world to fuel the envy it has for the spiritual powers that exist above it. Like Yaldabaoth, Imu can be considered a false god. For all intents and purposes Imu rules as a god, with full authority over the institutions of the world. However, the citizens of the world are able to break through the control that Imu wields, as in the case of Luffy and the RA. Despite using divine imagery (Holy Knights, Celestials Dragons) we see Imu emobdy features considered demonic, creating the image of malice masquerading as a holy and benevolent god, like Yaldabaoth. Any thoughts?
Yaldabaoth, otherwise known as Jaldabaoth or Ialdabaoth (; Koine Greek: Ιαλδαβαώθ, romanized: Ialdabaóth; Latin: Ialdabaoth; Coptic: ⲒⲀⲖⲦⲀⲂⲀⲰⲐ Ialtabaôth), is a malevolent god and demiurge (creator of the material world) according to various Gnostic sects, represented sometimes as a theriomorphic, lion-headed serpen...
I don’t think OP will end with the cast ascending to a higher plane, but the reformed world will offer more opportunity for freedom.
my question would be what the actual fruit powers are? Yaldabaoth isn't known for any kind of fighting abilities
Well, we have already seen Imu form contracts that allow Imu to posses and gain control of other peoples bodies. Yaldabaoth is linked to ideas of being able to exert control or otherwise limit the free will of others, so that could be the fruits abilities. I would also think that the fruit would transform the user into some large creature as most Zoans do.
i have a theorie on black beard not 1173 but i think it will do . Oda loves misdirection when it comes to the most powerful devil fruits. Luffy’s “rubber” fruit is the best example. I believe Blackbeard’s is another case. His “darkness” is not literal darkness at all. It is the Kraken Fruit, a mythical zoan based on the octopus.
Blackbeard has always been tied to the number three. Three skulls on his Jolly Roger. Three pistols. Three braids in his beard since the time skip.
Fans have debated that symbolism for years, but consider this. Octopuses have three hearts. And what is the Kraken if not the mythic version of the octopus?
So how does that link to darkness and the void?
Nearly every Kraken legend describes the same thing, an inescapable abyss that drags ships into darkness. That sounds a lot like the black hole power of the Yami Yami no Mi.
Just as Luffy’s freedom manifests through rubber, the Kraken’s abyssal nature manifests as darkness, a power of endless gravity. Even Blackbeard’s design reflects it. His beard after the time skip looks like a dark octopus, and his Jolly Roger now shows eight tentacles wrapped around the skulls. Oda is not being subtle. He is showing us the Kraken.
The number three does not stop there. One Piece constantly plays with a balance between the sea, the land, and the sky. Now look at the Ancient Weapons, three forces said to be capable of destroying the world. I believe they are human attempts to recreate the abilities of three original Devil Fruits. That would explain their massive destructive power.
Blackbeard, through his Davy-clan heritage, may know the truth, the fruits that the weapons tried to copy. And he is collecting them himself.
So far, he has two:
• The Quake Fruit, which destroys land.
• The Dark (Kraken) Fruit, which devours the sea.
That leaves one element, the sky.
If the Ancient Weapons mirror these fruits, then the last weapon, Uranus, represents the heavens. When Imu erased Lulusia, the blast looked eerily similar to Enel’s lightning on Skypiea.
And remember when Luffy first met Blackbeard? It was right before the crew set sail for Sky Island. That feels deliberate.
Blackbeard’s final goal may be to claim the Lightning Fruit, completing the trinity needed to destroy the sea, the land, and the sky, which together make up the “world” that Imu controls.
Enel’s cover story adventures on the moon might be setting up this very return. His defeat and isolation could foreshadow his fruit’s eventual theft by Blackbeard.
when imu and joyboy fought. Imu probably got her body sealed away in the abyss or sacrificed her body to the abyss for powers and now she wants vivis bcs vivi body suits her perfectly.
Imu: exists ominously
Chat: yeah she’s homeless and wants Vivi’s body
Nika, joy boy and Davy jones are all the previous gum gum fruit users
Now this is pod racing
I think at this point Im convinced The Red line is actually jormungandr
With Loki being a dragon, do you think he could possibly be the man marked by flames? Loki is the key to beating Imu and could be the key to finding the one piece! If he doesn’t join the crew, I’m going to be pissed. It’s pretty obvious now that his devil fruit is the dragon from the Harley text. So many questions. We need robin to check out the mural NOW!!!!
I have a theorie
theory?
That luffy was swaped with ace, cuz 1st of all no one from Rogers crew showed up at marineford (even tho raileigh could of swam there),
2nd luffy has rogers hat even tho ace is his son,
3rd luffy has conquoror haki or what ever its called, but that haki can't be learned, only the chosen ones born with it can, and why would dragons son be chosen
Loki could be a Kuraokami Dragon
A lot of people theorize Imu's true form is a dragon. If a person like Joyboy or a legend like Nika could be made into a fruit, maybe this kind of dragon is the same as Imu.
also Sengoku's buddha fruit implies Buddha was a real person in the One Piece world
Well its a Human human fruit model : Buddha
technically it is a buddha statue
OP is an easter egg hunt, thats why there’s so much resurrection shit. Easter is abt Jesus’s resurrection, Joyboy is our Jesus, when Luffy goes G5 he starts hopping around n gets cartoon powers, evoking Buggz Bunny. Zunesha has been walking for a long time, so that plus Zou as a kind of turtle shell make his tie to JB a Tortoise and the Hare thing.
Bonny sounds like “bunny,” she also went Nika mode and had a bunch of overt christianity refs in her arc, Egghead, whose name evokes the easter egg hunt. Shirahoshi is also a sort of “resurrection” of Poseidon, she has parallels to Bonney (pink hair, locked away by her father as a kid, commands large beasts) and her hairstyle evokes Bunny Ears. Her ties to sharks throughout FMI (Megalo, Jinbei, Hody, Vander Decken, Sharly) evoke the Japanese “White Hare of Inaba” myth where a hare tricks a bunch of “wani” (sharks crocodile’s or dragons) into forming a bridge across the water with their bodies to prove how many of them there are.
Loki also has pink hair, has parallels to Shirahoshi (lonely childhood, cries a lot, locked away by a redhead, freed by Loki, controls large beasts), and his horns serve as his bunny ears. Not only was he crucified like Jesus, making his freedom like his own resurrection (+ he “can’t even die”), but since he resembles a figure from the Elbaf mural, he serves as a resurrection of that figure like Luffy does for Joyboy. This pattern raises parallels with other pink haired characters that I won’t get into here, but to put it simply, it seems like Oda has been laying this idea throughout the story since Koby.
On a meta level, “easter eggs” are hidden messages or features hidden in the background of a piece of media, with Pandaman being the easiest example in OP. The point is for them to only reveal themselves to the audience members paying the closest attention. 1/2
To bring it back to Joyboy, his name is a reference to the 11th century Indonesian King Jayabaya (or Joyoboyo), who was known for prophetic dreams. One of these dreams was of a giant white crocodile and shark who battled for the water between the land and sea.
I mentioned earlier that the word “wani” can refer to both sharks and crocodiles, and funnily enough, with Japanese number wordplay (goroawase), the number 1 can be “wan” or “i”, making the number 11 the goroawase for “wani.” Interestingly, Japanese people usually use 11 to refer to dogs, since the barking siund effect is “wan wan,” which is extra interesting since the dog and dragon are across from each other on the Chinese zodiac. With a little extra Japanese knowledge, I noticed that Oda has been using the number 11 as one of his easter eggs.
In the author’s note for volume 111, Oda, while comparing Loki’s crucifixion to Zoro’s, made a pun with the word “zorome,” which refers either to repeating digits or betting on the same horse. Zoro’s name referencing this was great news for me since I had already taken note of his association with the number 11 and wani (his bday is 11/11, his bounty is 1.111 billion, his image animal is a shark, Oda said his df would be a dragon fruit for his sword, his green hair evokes crocodiles and Oda draws him with crocodile’s on covers often).
When I noticed the “wani” thing, I went ahead and checked all the chapters with repeating digits or digits that add up to 11, and found that every single one contained at least one wani, many contained dogs, and a baffling number contained the reveal of a map or firs mention of a location, which I’ll come back to. The pattern I didn’t know how to interpret at the time was most of the chapters containing some reference to beating death (lines like “I thought he was dead!” or “shouldn’t he be dead?”) 2/2
@cerulean vigil @slate burrow clear thoughts
My issue with these theories is everyone always takes some wacky less known mythological being and tried to incorporate it into One Piece while not having extremely strong ties to it.
While I do understand the intent and why you believe it based on mythology. I believe the power aspect is what gives the most hints to the fruit. A game or control related deity is my guess. I dont have enough of a clue but whatever it is. IMU is using their fruit on a more world wide scale and long distance based on Games, relative relationships, and control. While the actual zoan silhouette isnt exactly seen yet.
Imu most likely has a god fruit unique to the one piece world like nika
i don't think Imu has a fruit at all but they are of a devil's nature and give powers via their contracts. And his powers are natural and not from a fruit.
@muted valley there was a great theory of one piece being based on the game reversi or othello, check it out
i agree with this. Imu is probably some sort of literal demon
The man marked by flames is marked in such a way that it’s actually a scar though. Loki being some sort of dragon and having supposed access to fire powers doesn’t help his chances of being the figure any more than there already was. Which admittedly, I would say is almost impossible.
There are still two minor points I would say could be in favour of Loki in this theory though. The fruit seems to don a very dark colour scheme, meanwhile the marked man dons a pitch-black ship. Loki’s mythical fruit could also explain the whirlpools caused by the man marked by flames. Since we already see it able to control weather / natural elements in certain ways
But besides those details, this is a figure that pirates such as Blackbeard and Kid were searching for in the present as if the marked man too is actively on the move within their black ship. Loki on the other hand, had been chained for several years. So from where were all these pirates hearing these rumours from in the present?
Hence why I think the theory is extremely unlikely, but I can still see why the fruit reveal would support his case a little bit
I think I found the symbol of the god Nika. The symbol of the sun kingdom was the 8 circles with one large symbol. We see in one piece many islands still use this symbol. See link for all the pictures: https://discord.com/channels/164970986284777473/1472027136146538547
The 'S' Shape is associated with Divinity, and especially Nika.
The Nika pose itself is an S. Poseidon has it, Imu even has it on the throne. The Nika fruit has it.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
The Nika pose is to duplicate the Nika symbol
Ok so what’s the purpose of it ?
And are you sure those symbols don’t show up anywhere else?
If its to be believed, it implies that the celestial dragons and even the empty throne itself was associated with Nika… which means the old ancient kingdom could have been the “current” world government. And Nika could have been the old king that was overthrown that imu refers to (that was NOT davy jones).
Wait... WHAT
I didnt know it
Also bonney ,if can be nika, can be a ditorted future of a person or a god like someone that have or doesnt have devils powers
imagine if luffy
.
I am not 100% what the symbol ultimately originated from. It may be a 1st world symbol for Nika. Like Nika himself, its meaning has potentially lost some of its original meaning. The giants are probably a group that use and this symbol, and may have a clear connection this is a Nika reference since its all over Elbaf, including haralds throne.
It can help show those that aligned with Nika in the 1st world, worship Nika, or are allies with those that still worship Nika (like the Giants). This may also have an association with the ancient trees.
If we do get the chance to have a flashback on how things went in the void century (which we prob will)
I think Imu (who is a man imo), convinced Lily to be his wife to make a truce or smth bc the sea is rising or wtv. So Imu knows that, and Lily, like Vivi, wanting to protect her kingdom, accepted to work for the enemy (at least to our viewpoint) and Joyboy just like Luffy convinced Lily that what Imu said is control/evil or smth. Like how Crocrodile did his stuff.
Now I know this needs to be elaborated and be developed but I encourage others to help me with this theory
And if the S is really tied to Nika, then this can help lend credibity to other theories. The origin of the Devil fruits (Eve/Nika tree?), the races being genetically created or decended from Nika. Suddenly those swirls could be one way to tell who is descended from the moon, since they show some symbols, half moon....
Confirmed, Thank you Kizaru fight
the Shandora bell has strawhat monkeys on it, also has hoju’s (🌰) on its pillars, the Empty Throne room has these same shapes all over, underneath it is a strawhat, where is the monkey? personally i think its Imu
Let's keep this to S shape, since I don't think that is a monkey on the bell, but a shandian (it looks like a strawhat, but on inspection is wings and holding a hooked staff)
hell of a jump imo
Sorry, thought this was the forum, but I do think the hojas are significant. Keep theorizing. The monkey thing i kinda see on bell, but lean shandian.
why not both? could be a flying monkey reference
I just see shandians with a staff, but I can see the monkey. The bell was in shandora so that makes me think sky people as well.
Can you point me to your hoju theory, I would like to give it a read
im so lost rn
@raw scarab
not super succinct but i can break it down as needed, haven’t written it out fully yet lol
my king?
well, if there was a pirate like loki having such a dangerous fruit and overall being very strong, he roamed the seas for around 8 years as told, 6 years ago he was stopped by shanks when he planned to attack marijoa, so i mean during those 8 years he could have left a presence, and kid and law were in the seas even before ace started his journey, as while telling yamato he told they were already known pirates. So loki having the poneglyph could be a thing but i really don't understand about the scar, we haven't seen anything like that
there are more reasons than u think this could be wrong
- there is a visible age gap between ace and luffy, it is told 3 years and it seems like it
- most of the Roger's crew didn't even knew that roger had a son
- u could say that it could just be the opposite and dragon's son was older and rouge just held onto ace for longer but that is just absurd and against the spirit of oda, i really don't think so oda would do this
- if dragon knew ace was his son then he would have gone to his execution to save him as he is likely very connected to his son
Yeah but they were swaped without dragon knowing
there is a visible difference between ace and luffy, dragon would obv know who his son is?
I mean yeah but why did White beard let ace die cuz if it was rogers son then he wouldnt of let that happen
if u see ace and luffy together, u can easily tell that there is atleast 2-3 years of age gap between them, and one piece isn't about that kings run in inheritance
Fair ig, anyway ima head to sleep cya
Odd just takes one piece theory’s and copies them
Another one I got is that oda has no idea what he will make the one piece
What if the one piece was the thing that remade the world twice already from the mural. What if the one who finds it next uses the treasure to remake make the world a fourth time?
Why wouldn’t Roger use it atp?
One Piece is a ring
The one piece is a weapon, or an energy source for the ancient weapons. Hence why “the fate of the world depends on whoever finds the one piece”
They’ve already used an ancient weapon with the mother flame
Trust that Ancient Weapon is the Emerald City I got a whole theory on that as well I’m hoping to see it in elbaf since it’s Skypeia 2.0
If one piece were a weapon to destroy world, why roger said he's too early? Wouldn't be better if he destroyes it?
That is my overall theory as well. It's basically the unlimited true version of what the motherflame is. The motherflame is an artificially produced & limited resource, whereas the one piece will be unlimited. My theory is it is the "heart" of the real sun god nika left behind. Not like a human beating heart, probably looks more like the sun, but yeah. I think it's the first part needed for the one piece, used to power the ancient weapons, destroy the red line and return the world back to how it was before the void century. The world itself is joyboy's treasure, but you need the treasure on laugh tale to make it happen. "I left everything in the world there" -Roger
It's why Luffy in nika form's heartbeat powers emeth when he's nearby.
I have started looking at this a different way. Vegapunk has noted the energy (ancient energy?) is all around us. The mother flame is not creating energy, it turning the ambient life energy around us to a flame. I believe that is what Nika form does, it uses music (sound and frequency) to tune things to access this power. So the drums of liberation basically give people free access to this power. That is why Emeth suddenly powers up when he merely hears a noise. This might also tie into what Haki is as well, Haki is altering ones receiver to accept more ambient energy. This might be why Luffy and Imu both release CoC when powering up, it is basically locking in that frequency.
Notice even when they are talking about a sun, its all about conversion. All about taking one form of energy, and making it something else.
The mother flame is not creating energy, it turning the ambient life energy around us to a flame
I agree with this. In the Harley text during the first world, I think it was the same motherflame-type energy the slaves were taking from within the earth to power their society
Vegapunk just managed to harness that ancient power with science and could only manage to gather a relatively small amount.
If this is talking about this planet, I am still not certain of that.
fair enough
Interesting. I do see how it can be interpreted that way.
I had been think the energy is more a metaphysical one.
Something like collective desires. Moreso the reverse of "god" from Berserk(if you had read that before Mura removed it from the series in later releases).
Where Haki is utilization of it. DF are more created by the intangible nature of desire becoming tangible.
While I am sure it can tie in with what your saying. It also would coincide with my Ideas for Imu, where I believe Imu wants a complete subjugation of the world. As their power works world wide. Where Imu is trying to diminish those intangible forces through their DF.
The one piece is a devil fruit that usopp will eat
Source: Oda told me in a dream
guys sogeking is usopp, like I get ppl don’t think hes usopp but back at sabaody we saw kumas clone scanned usopp as “sogeking” then later on we say fake luffys crew after time skip with everyone from the main crew except from usopp who was replaced with fake sogeking and I believe when usopp is feeling brave he becomes sogeking however it’s just a theory
Theory: Law is a fake d. member, because at zou, he couldn’t hear zunesha’s voice like luffy and momo

You are mixing up the voice of all things and being a d
It’s obvious that all the d members have the voice of all things. Such as luffy, Roger rocks garp, clover. Then there’s momo and oden,
but the kozuki are the ones that made the ponneglyph, so they are also related to d or somewhat
Momo has no D in the name but not only could hear Zou but also control it
No it's not
I think only people who have inherited will of joyboy and davy jones can use it
But it seems blackbeard cannot use Voice of all things, so maybe he doesn't have his inherited will despite trying to? Voice of all things is still a strange concept in one piece
I associate the Voice of all Things with the drums of liberation. Its like a radio frequency, if your in tune with it you can hear it. The drums aren’t actual noise, but a result of being in tune with the world
I sort of agree with this. I'm wondering why only certain people are able to use it and others not though. The only people who seem to be able to use it are descendants of important void century figures (joyboy, davy jones, kozuki clan)
Dont forget Shirahoshi having it as well
Right, she wouldve inherited it from the mermaid princess (poseidon) from 800-900 years ago most likely. Did they get granted this ability or did they get born with it? If so, why them and from who. We don't have the answer yet from Oda but I'm just wondering
There’s a chance its genetic, but I feel like its too important to the lore to do that
The way its described is more than just talking to animals/sea kings
Roger had it but he died and didn't do anything with the one piece because he was too early to do anything with it. So why did he have it then? It must pass to only specific people from generation to generation to only key people who will be the ones who are instrumental in fulfilling joyboy's will
Rocks seems to be using it here to like telepathically speak to Roger and Garp. Does that mean Garp has it too to be able to percieve it? It's a strange concept haha
Voice of all things is likely tied to the inhereted will and D.
Inherited will 100%
Shirahoshi and Momo are tied to sea kings and earth gods respectively, but D can not only sense it generally, they can use it to communicate to each other, or potentially spread a will
The Elders/Imu also appear to have it, but I also think this is them working on their own frequency. the voice of all Imu.
I think that's a result of the Deep sea pact connecting them directly to Imu only, not related to VoAT. Imu might actually have it, but I don't think that's what he/she's using to communicate with people
The idea of D. sensing it generally is an interesting theory that does make sense actually
I think Nika/Luffy is all connected with Haki, DF and VOAT. I think Luffys devil fruit is allowing him to tap into a frequency of energy, and using haki to amplify his abilities. Imu appears to be functioning the same, using haki as a means to potentially alter matter or beings. Basically devil powers allow Luffy and Imu to extend Haki beyond anybody else. However while Luffy is like a public wifi, ready to share his frequency with all, Imu is creating little network hubs with his pacts and abyss. That is why I think his VOAT is very specific, because his frequency is not an open kind, its closed, oppressive. Mechanically I think its similar.
It is why we see Luffy and Imu use CoC to empower their extra abilities. But it also may explain some connection between domi reversi and how Emet is powered. How the drums of liberation/VOAT/Haki and Imu's powers are basically different instruments.
We havnt seen Blackbeard with like zunesha or the sea kings, we dont know. But all the people connected to joyboy has the voice of all things, so the d members and kozuki:
luffy Roger garp xebec clover
Momo oden
True. Unconfirmed whether he 100% has it, but it's a high chance based on other prominent D. characters showing it. I'm honestly surprised Kozuki clan members arent also confirmed D. clan members as well, feels like they should be but that's something else I guess.
Forgot to mention clover asw ⬆️,
But when vegapunk said “those who have d, among u is an….” It might be “… imposter”,
And law who was at zou didn’t have the voice of all things. So he might be the imposter

and d does not suit law ibr 😭
BB is strange. Imu's powers seem like a domination spin on Gear 5. But BB's powers are basically a dead star. Even his anti-devil attacks are a black sun symbol. So not sure what it all means. Because I can argue more nowadays that Imu seems more Moon like, and BB seems more Blackhole/death god.
Do you think the deep sea pact is a haki related ability? or a DF one? I'm still unsure
Both. I think its DF created in the sense that Imu can manifest like Luffy. But because he has CoC, it allows him to tap into a powersource to keep manifesting. Sort of like Luffy was losing his power vs Kaido, and then used CoC/will to turn gear 5 again. @wicked lava Vegapunk also said 'Joyboy is his....."
However, while Luffy is likely tapping into the ambient spirit energy all around him, I wouldnt be shocked if Imu has a giant frozen nika in his basement that he is using as a power source/battery.
That would be insane and cool. Some evangelion type stuff.
i really fw the idea of Luffy not being the only “chosen one” and Loki is one of them, but his moment to bring destruction for the new world doesn’t truly begin until Luffy became a prevalent force in the world
since VP talked about dreams and wishes, could the suns the people brought to daylight be their hopes/wishes/dreams?
I thought shirahoshi doesn't have VOAT she can just communicate with sea kings due to her lineage. also gotta keep in mind
its not exactly confirmed, but I think she has the voice of all things, however the sea kings have no interest in obeying anybody but her. Sort of like Momo and Luffy can hear Zunesha, but Zunesha only obeys the crecent moon bloodline.
Heracles ≟ Louis Arnote
Now, this isn't one of those theories where i can directly tie Heracles to Arnote. Other than it being cool if someone so heavily tied to Little Garden and Elbaph would be Usopp's mentor, there is nothing that ties them directly together. I'm here to justify the possibility, because this seemingly unlikely claim does in fact not contradict anything substantial we know about these two
The Timeline
Arnote gave Little Garden its name because of Dory and Broggy, meaning his visit was during the last 102 years, so hes not from Nolands time or anything like that.
-# (which means the Ace Novel statement that says Brag Men was written by "explorers of the distant past" is probably referring to LG's prehistoric nature as "the distant past", given that the book can't be no older than 102 years)
Heracles left on a voyage at age 23 and arrived on Boin 3 years later. Currently hes 51. Its definitely possible to have visited both Little Garden and Elbaph in those 3 years, as well as publishing his team's findings.
The Motivation
It also makes sense for Heracles, a botanist, to visit those islands, as Little Garden hosts a variety of flora otherwise extinct in the rest of the world, and Elbaph of course has the Adam Tree
The Conclusion
While I can't say anything about this theory's likelihood, I think it is perfectly in character for Heracles to end up being someone so tied to Usopp's "dream-related islands". It makes sense timeline-wise and career-wise. The only things that don't line up are them having different birthdays and different places of origin, but im willing to chalk that up as either:
- vivre card details that could be retconned
- a result of Heracles just forgetting after being marooned for so long
- it being fake info to hide his identity, either as Louis Arnote (possibly a fake pen-name), or as Heracles (obviously a persona)
-# That last reason could be motivated by the loss of his whole crew at Boin. I could see him therefore making the Heracles identity as a coping mechanism for the shame this caused him and then just getting lost in the character over the years. Another motivating factor could be that, as Arnote's work was ridiculed and deemed fantasy, he might have wanted to hide his identity from potential knowers of either his reputation or of the fact his expedition ended in no survivors, thus paralleling Noland's terrible reputation to an extent
Tbh i think momo, loki, luffy, shirahoshi, vivi, shanks (and maybe koby, blackbeard or buggy) are all chosen ones to some degree
Imu's book is
"The Devil Encyclopedia"
I fall in the camp of Imu having the devil devil fruit or at least being- / being posessed by an actual devil. Regardless of which camp you fall in though, I think we all can agree the book they summon is definitely part of their powers. What I'd like to add however, is that I think this book is not only the source of most of the powers we see Imu use, but in fact all the devil fruit powers we see, as I believe it to be
"The Devil Encyclopedia"
the book of desires used when creating the devil fruits, containing specimens of demons that reflect each desire
Powers I believe could be derived from devil fruit-devils found in this book include (in order from likeliest to less likely):
- The Shotgun being the devil of either the barrel barrel fruit or arms arms fruit,
- The dagger being the devil of the dice dice fruit,
- The arrow Imu used on Cobra being the devil of the arrow arrow fruit (though could also just be their actual devil tail)
- The gorosei all being inhabited by devils from this book
- When Imu "ate" Sabo's fire and turned big they were using the devil of Loki's or Kaido's fruit
- Domi Reversi being an ability of the devil of an unknown fruit like the "game game fruit"
- the abyss being the power of an unnamed fruit of the awakened warp warp fruit
etc… though some of these might just be Imu-powers not from the book, I do still think this book should not be underestimated and that its nature is directly tied to the nature of devil fruits
what if dragon ate the seastone logia devil fruit
usopp has davy blood, nami is a princess probably from nerona bloodline, lokis fruit is called (something)-(something) fruit model: Goka, zoro is a D member and related to clou d. clover, luffy has barely any internal monologue due to nika always talking in his head and gear 6 will be when nika fully takes over luffys body behaving like the destructive nika they talk about in elbaph, pluton has the wings in the baroque works jolly roger and will be golden kinda a parallel to enels ship in skypiea and the ship itself will have a devil fruit power of a golden bird, kumas fruit will be eaten by the thousand sunny and the paw paw fruit will have kumas soul in it turning it into the earth god fruit and it will make the sunny a mini pluton, loki may be the last straw hat but im not sure there
credit monkey D quel on tiktok all of his theories came true and yes all of them did
Hey, I see youre new.
Just to let you know, this isnt to be mean or anything. Just to help and point you in the correct direction. This channel is for serious OP theories and theory discussion. There is a certain level of effort that should be put into the theory you suggest. I believe your post is more inclined for #manga-serious as it seems to me that is more the discussion youre trying to generate.
While post about a theory in this channel ussually do one or more of following: such as why/how this theory holds weight, evidence pointing to the connections made, and generally be able to pass/fail upon future events.
Hope that helps, not trying to be rude or stop you. Just point you to a better avenue for a post like that.
I don’t think Blackbeard will steal Imu’s powers. Rocks lost to Imu, same with Joyboy. I know they will never team up to defeat Imu but I think the one to defeat Imu will be Dragon. I think Blackbeard will steal either an admirals fruit, or a logia like Enel’s if he ever returns. Also maybe Kidd or Law.
Don't know if I'm late or if someone has said this or anything BUT I have a theory
The reason the Celestial Dragons hate the Fishmen so much is because no matter how much the ocean level rises, the Fishmen will always remain alive (becoz they can breath underwater) and the Celestial Dragons despise the Fishmen for this and despise the fact that they'll have to live along with the Fishmen either that or the Celestial Dragons envy the Fishmen for this unique ability which causes the resentment
My name is Slegoz btw
Uhm Joyboy is a giant turned into a toy. his silhoutte has Wooden legs and hands.
Did previous HobiHobi No Mi user make him a toy and everyone forgot who the real Joyboy is? Maybe previous hobi user was a giant, or some race that can live 100years ++ (CENTURY)
The promise at fishman island failed cuz everyone forgot his promise. He was there, but the fishman back then forgot cuz he is now a toy.
So he made an apology via poneglyph. Him, being forgotten could be the void century.
And only emeth remembers him cuz he is a robot unaffected by the hobi devil fruit.
Joyboy might have a severed head etc when he was a toy...At some point, hobi fruit user dies. And joyboy dies with him since his head was severed. (Or along those lines). A toy living for hundreds of years surely would have been damaged.
And then zunesha remembered, thus filled with grief punished itself.
Kthxbye
to that degree yeah, but i mean it more as Loki’s fruit is a variation of Nika, the one that was believed to cause destruction
How did Joyboy not negate the effect of the devil fruit with his haki?
Emeth and Imu remember who the real Joyboy is so he can't be a victim of that fruit
Once he turns back to normal their memories would come back
Like with kyros
Do we know what happens when someone in toy form dies? I forget
I don't think we do know. But I interpreted it as him dying once he turned back to normal
I like it.
if he got turned into a toy nobody would remember him
Thank you
They did remember, only a century later when the hobi no mi user died.
Another thing about Imu is that she probably used the ope ope no mi to swap bodies with joyboy prior to him turning into a toy.
I can go on, but just wanted to share that joyboy is a toy probably with a severed head (wizard of oz reference, he is the scarecrow, who wished for a brain/head).
So when hobi no mi user dies, his head being severed as a toy killed him when he turned normal.
Zunesha then remembers everything, most of joyboy crew probably died of old age, only zunesha and probably a few other giants was still alive stricken with guilt.
Why? Cuz joyboy was asking for emeth's help but was a toy and couldnt remember.
The giants who remembered probably did some history recording after they gain back their memories.
Shirahoshi theory
What if the serpent and god of earth were actual beings instead of figurative interpretation? I was seeing a lot of theories talking about the serpent being an actual entity inside the red line, and it got me thinking. What if the god of earth was a person that could control this serpent? With this power later being called Poseidon, and getting themselves renamed to the god of sea instead of god of earth in the second world, after they sunk the sea.
With the mermaids being descendants of this god of sea with shirahoshi being a direct descendant. This would explain why shirahoshis powers are considered ancient weapon level as just controlling the sea kings is crazy but isn’t that big of a feat as we have seen in recent chapters (Loki). As well as make her role more important roll in helping Luffy in the future.
TL;DR
Shirahoshi is a direct descendant of the god of earth (god of sea after flood) and will summon the serpent for something to help Luffy
I had similar theory to this at one point, since fishman island may be similar to Atlantis, and was pulled beneath the seas.
I always thought the Redline litterally was pulled and wrapped around the planet in some manner. That most of the actual geography is artificially constructed.
Oars the continent puller being as aspect of it.
Made me think that maybe like the birdcage on dressrossa, void century ended with a opposite situation except it was a loss for the ancient kingdom. Where the last of the powers did 1 final push to relocate everything in place. As a final stall against the WG.
Still would need to explain how lunarians lived on the Redline before CDs and all that. Just was trying to think of thematic ways the dressrossa arc could be done on the world stage with the info we know.
I think Blackbeard has Davy Jones original fruit perhaps, either that or he is the destruction Nika in place of Loki. I mean he even has an attack called liberation
hi just wanted to drop my 2 cents and share 2 small predictions since I have no one to share them with.
1st. Most of us know/predict that enel would would return in elbaf sooner or later. A reason for this is that he sensed bolt of lightning loki did on yggdrasil in chapter 1142 and decided to check it out cuz "I am the kami" and it's lightning
2nd. Zoros final opponent would be Nusjuro because something something something he killed Mihawk one way or another (either fairly or not) and would help to make the end of the story makes sense because there is no way zoro is fighting Mihawk after the big bad is defeated
Zoro needs to fight Mihawk. The whole of one piece is about promises and following your dreams. I feel like Zoro would never truely feel like the world's strongest swordsman if he doesn't get to fight Mihawk.
The celestial dragons and such came during the second world in the void century. This is after the first sinking and red line being formed.
So maybe the advanced civilization that was overthrown by the 20 kingdoms was the lunarian race that retreated to the red line after the world serpent sunk the world and created or became said redline?
Then being turned into a slave race by the newly established world government after being defeated.
u think mihawk is a god's knight? he lived alone until he agree to train zorro and i'd like to read his throwback arc how he got his sword
anyone have an Idea or Theory here as to why the Minks Sulong and Nika are identical, at least in terms of appearance?
And the minks need the moon to turn into sulong form as well.
....oh...OH, do you think that this book is the ACTUAL devil fruit encyclopedia....ALSO HERE'S AN IDEA.....okay also hear me out on this.
What if the "enclyopedia" doesn't have the actual fruit powers but it possess the items and elements of the fruits if that makes sense?
As in, Imu can't turn into guns like the arm arms fruit but he can pull them out, and imu can't become fire like a logia but he can pull out fire like the flame flame fruit
no, not a devil fruit encyclopedia
i said it could be The Devil Encyclopedia.
And the rest of your idea is just what I was suggesting in my theory.
you just condescendingly mansplained most of my own theory back to me
not sure but I think both forms are "becoming closer to a true form" like reverting to their origin? Some old race which looks like that?
I finished One Piece for the first time just recently but I have a feeling like this sequence is kind of inevitable.
- Sanji learns that Pudding was captured
- He goes to free her personally
- The person guarding her is Devon.
This puts him in a major moral dilemma. Not only because Devon is a woman (which Sanji has a vow not to hit woman) but her fruit is also about manipulation, etc which seems to be a core theme which attacks Sanji. She might threaten to hurt/kill Pudding if this takes place during/after finding the 4th Poneglyph.
- He had to fight Bon Clay in Alabasta, which is purely about manipulation.
- He was lied to + almost assassinated in Whole Cake Island
- He was baited by Black Maria in Wano
Which basically culminates to Devon as a character, she is everything which goes against him. She has effectively Bon Clays power, and is inherently deceiving + the pudding connection is what deepens it.
Does he hit her? Does he find a way to trick her? No clue, but it sure smacks a wall in his face that he might need to overcome.
Serious question. In impel down, ivankov uses the hormone powers to save Luffy but said his life would be shortened in return. He's been saved a lot and I'm wondering just how much his span was shortened someday
- well, if we see, the major life span shortening was 10 years after he was poisoned 2. and i m not sure if multiple energy hormones affected his life span, rather he suffered physical pain due to his body being energized even after not being able to move, so 10 yearss removed and lucci mentioned that gear 2 put huge toll on his body and his life spann will be shortened by that, as far as my speculations go, he certainly used a lot of gear 2, but he improved after timeskip, so even if we take like 5 years out of it, the lifespan shortenings are still not like enough for luffy to die at an early age, but the major thing that could be important is luffy catching some kind of
i also have a speculation about the 2nd fruit that rocks said, well i dont have a lot of proofs of it but i mean there are no reasons it shouldnt be that too, so 1st fruit was obv dragon dragon fruit model nidhogg and the 2nd friut "could" be snake snake fruit model jormungdr , if we see there are 3 MAJOR deities/figures in that elbaf mural, on the left side is the devil (i have no clue what it could be) but just seeing the mural we can easily say it's imu as nika poseidon lunarian are fighting it. on the top is a huge dragon which is probably loki, and on the right is a huge serpant, well the three deities doesnt seem to fight each other (atleast in the mural) but for sure if we can say that on the top is loki?nidhogg and on the left is imu/????, so on the right should be that creature who can possibly go on par with imu ? so it has to be that serpant like thing, and i can allso easily say that it's dragon (i could be wrong but atleast as of now) , he is once referred to insurgent serpant, and we really dont have any clue who else it could be
this arc really is just a parallel to thriller bark.
Ancient Giants
an ark where Usopp will have a relevant fight (Killingham controls dreams. Usopp is the biggest dreamer in the strawhats so possibly his antithesis? Usopp also once lied about defeating 10 shadows to Chopper. Killingham has summoned 10 different versions of nightmares (Jörmungandr, Nika, Loki, Fenrir, Ghosts, Draugur, A storm/lightning, Nidhoggr, Mothers, Demons)
Brook's Plot device and him having a relevant story in this arc
Kuma on the island?
well, i have lost all hope in ussop, and in 1174 we can see that loki is way bigger than those monsters, he destroyed draugr with a single hit, and now that he's here in his dragon form, he might as well destroy all of them before returning to battlefield with one of the holy knights or domi reversi'd giants
Gear 2 never shortened his lifespan, Lucci just said if he continued using it in the fight he would kill himself
I think Imu is the last remaining god of the old era. The one god who never got turned into a DF.
You know what, I have another theory. You know in ancient Greeks there was a god for nearly everything, even a god of door ways?
What if every paramecium DF was simply like the Nika Fruit? A god of its own perspective power?
Like Bluno with the door door fruit. He can awaken as a god of door ways? Wait ... No then doffy would have been a god of string and he didn't change form.
Not to fuel that idea too much since I don't really follow it, he did make a Doflamingo out of string...
So it is "one piece" of history and Bc it is out of the eyes of joy boy it is funny and stuff did i cook?
so mutch that i only realize now
Yeah ... I was just expecting to see that cloud halo like shall they get. Lucci got one and it was black and he was only a jaguire.

Ping me for theories of why Zoro Sanji and Usopp mother’s all get sick….
my theory: Oda has mommy issues
😭🫵🏽
it does, all that strain on his veins carries onto his heart
well, the gods must have existed in only the 1st world that was given in the mural, after that they all got turned into ddevil fruits as their "strong wills" lived on and were passed onto some fruits, only then i think they were obtainable in 2nd world (from mural), imu being a god from 1st world doesnt seem likely as saint imu nerona was a king of some island previously only then some things must have happened
well we might learn something abt dragon (likely nidhogg) or sun god in the upcoming chapter according to that we might learn something related to void century
I would think so, or that in the 1st world they were able to create gods but in their collapse the people who were given powers would pass it on to the fruit near by along with their will.
The devil fruits may have just been an accident rather than made on purpose, like a byproduct of what they intentionally made.
well i think we will see how devil fruits actually function, based on some things i have come upto something, remember when a user dies the power goes to a nearby fruit, and when two users try to eat the fruit simultaneously the one who eats it first gains the power, so i have come up with a thing that when the will is too strong, taking example nika/sun god, his will to save and freedom was too strong in the first world that his power and will took a shape of a fruit which was carried thru generations, well this could explain a lot of zoans, for paramecia and logias there isn't much of an explanation tho,.could it be that they are just a part of zoans, mybe or maybe not, i m not sure about that but for zoans it could make sense.
and it could also explain how blackbeard was able to eat 2 devil fruit (2 confirmed ones) , just when bb uses wb's fryits power, there were 2 panels,
1st panel were random wb pirates saying no 'normal' person should be able to eat 2 dfs , it isnt simply possible.
2nd panel was marco, saying that teach's body structure is not 'normal' , well this could be due to him already eating a three souled devil fruit of a chinese deity with three heads whose name i dont remember, i can give hints like it even has the connection to his laugh 'zehahaha' but idk the actual deity,
back to the main topic, bb might have had a fruit close to him, and bb simply ate the fruit when it got transformed, or the fruit was actually meant for destruction, and bb ALSO WANTS DESTRUCTION, so it could be the case that there wills and thoughts match and they just merged into each other smth shit, but if we have to go by my previous theory of it being applied to all three types of df then we could say this for paramecia
With BB involved, I think he wants to make his own mythical zoan fruit. He has a paramecium and logia, now he needs a zoan.
I think BB can eat an infinite number of DFs. The Yami Yami no mi allows him to suppress his DF powers when he needs to, allowing two or more powers to coexist in the same body.
im pretty sure he will only eat 3 tho. cuz even his flags have 3 skulls, 1 for each fruit.
yami yami, gura gura and some kind of zoan, i think hes gonna go after marco
I figured out the real name of Chopper's fruit.
Hito Hito no Mi, Mythical Type, Model: Elbaph
Elbaph's previous owner is the skull in Onigashima.
Not to rude, but this is the wrong channel for that. Unless you have a full on theory with evidence as to why that is. That is if you want to post it here.
If youre serious put it in #manga-serious and try to discuss it.
If youre joking, it goes to another channel. Outside Serious/Theories.
I have a question why don’t shanks brother or family bring him home or why haven’t they killed him? We know that shanks brother knows the the elders so of course he’s going to know about Shanks so why hasn’t he reach out to shanks?
well vegapunk did said that something like devil fruits are manifestation of desires, dream or will power so it maybe possible

mb
I think blackbeard and luffy might form temporary alliance considering that one is descendent of Davy D Jones and the other inherited the will of Joyboy and since both joyboy and davy d jones were enemies of IMU . Luffy's gear 5 is still only enough to beat an admiral and he needed to transform two times to beat an emperor and assuming that IMU is much stronger than a yonko Luffy will need a powerfull ally
Ussop becomes strong

Dark Dark Fruit is probably the Forest Gods fruit. He can manipulate Devil Fruits obviously. Also the visual of the woods at night contrasts Nika well. Rooted to the ground surrounded by all consuming darkness.
what if imu has the same face as luffy?
This is 100% not a coincidence. This is an extremely famous greek iconograph representing Jesus, AKA the SON of GOD. Nika is the SUN GOD. Hmmmmmm
so far most villains in one piece has had a motive for a version of "peace", often extremely selfish versions of it. what if one piece is really about the types of peace wanted throughout humanity? what if the one piece is joyboy's version of a true peace, like a blueprint or scripture on destroying the grandline to unite all the seas? also hence the series name "One Piece" (one true peace). just a theory i randomly thought of but would be crazy if true
is it possible that every celestial is either a potential or a failed vessel for imu? it can hop into gunko and the only reason i can think of why the celestials are being kept alive despite their patronising attitudes is this, is there any theories on this forum that i can read about similar assumptions?
I mean, not to be rude. While I understand the theory. Half the villains were not for some twisted version of peace. The pirates all wanted their own control.
Kaido wanted a gigantic war and defeat.
Doffy wanted absolute control of his birthright while burning down the CDs. Via Kaido.
Bm, youre somewhat right. Its a twisted version of Peace with her King of the Pirates and her twisted kingdom.
Rocks maybe but it was control of the world with a unknown vision.
BB assumed to be Rocks 2.0
Etc...
it'd be funny if one piece is a voting machine factory for democracy and everyone voted out imu lol
just a random theory i thought of, i really dont have proof other than bm lol. also thought of doffy's reign as peace being absolute control and everyone just bowing down to him
I fully believe Imu is using them for a 2 part reason.
-
It keeps the lie going, helps build dedicated soldiers while keeping the original lie in place by allowing them all to live in a content hedonistic lifestyle. Also they all are descendents of former Kings. COC in theory should run in the lineage. Its a good bloodline in theory, that may produce prodogies for good dedicated soldiers.
-
IMU somehow does derive power from the accumulation of more CDs. We dont know enough about their powers but it seems to be some board game based power that works worldwide. I believe the pieces IMU hold (CDS) are vital for how much Power Imu can have at least at certain points in time.
Its just the first thought, while I do agree it kinda changes when you point past the Pirates.
Navy have 2 sects of beliefs. 1. WG has issues that need changed. 2. Status Quo is good.
Revs Have same belief as Navy sect 1.
While some other people around the world with less power do Carry that same belief.
so basically they're for propagandas and battery, going along with your theories, i'm also wondering if every time a gk or imu takes fatal damage, imu could shift that aggro to CDs, we've seen in recent chapters that saint sommers being used as a power measurement tools for luffy's crew mastery over conqueror's haki lol it's impossible there's no drawbacks or conditions other than hurting a little bit
I think theyre more like Batteries than say a sacrificial person.
Whatever Imus powers are, their position at top of the world is like a board game where a person has all the best pieces and most resources. Anytime any damage is inflicted it is purely surface level and not deep.
While like when Harald was killed, Imu suffered because it actually used a finite resource Imu had. Where the more CDs imu has it allows for more possible uses of the covenant. Like every 20CDs imu gets a +1 point added to their covenant usage. By having Harald die it wasted the equivalent of 100 CDs he had accumulated and Imu has to wait like 100y for another +5 to be built. Or that Imu now needs double the original CDs that since it used up that possible resource. Since it lost the original usage by having their Covenant deatroyed.
Something like that, I never formally wrote out how I fully believe Imus powers work. Waiting for more info to really dial it in. Since Summers isnt stated perma dead, that Imu didnt seem hurt from it. I doubt Summers id dead. Just using the IMU buff to regen. All thats powered via the CDs Imu accumulated and however their power relys on that.
If that makes any sense.
these r all assumptions and i was just wondering how imu's running the op world with that level of ignorance, thanks for sharing ur theories, i'll keep that at the back of my mind while reading this
Yeah its a assumption built on how different Imus powers are while Imus plan and powers seemingly are built around the world they built.
We know it isnt complete and its still a WIP. Which means whatever Imus final version is it must be unbeatable and fully in control. Where theres still ways Imu can loose even while seeming so invincible, powerful, and building all these wild things that dont make full sense.
Like why have the CDs outside the lie. Since that lie is a big cornerstone of how everyone precieves the current world is built.
Probably already been speculated at before but I think I have a general inkling as to what/who Imu is
Imu has 100% been around since the void century and was living during the time of joyboy and Davy jones; but they’re the only one who’s still alive after all this time.
I think Imus whole character is trying to hang onto the past when one piece is about inheriting the past and moving forward as well as carrying on people’s dreams.
Roger likely carries on the will of Joyboy (symbolised through the straw hat) and Luffy obviously carries on their will too. Likewise Blackbeard carries on the dreams of Xebec who likely took on the will of Davy Jones.
Nobody can inherit the will of Imu (one of the ‘greats’ in the ancient era like joyboy) because they refuse to die; which is why the world is trying to get rid of them through the D and devil fruits too; as how the nika nika avoided the government on its own will and the ‘D’ naturally has a tendency to resist control.
Realising now that I rambled just to get absolutely nowhere with this soz for wasting time.
TL;DR Imu is like a burden the world is trying to get rid of since they refuse to let the natural order of things take place; leaving nobody to inherit their will.
hi, just wanted to share a theory, what if the nidhogg fruit is one of the ancient weapon (uranus ?) that was supposed to be on onigashima ?
the skull of onigashima could be the skull of the former nidhogg fruit user. Probably an ancient giant, even bigger and older than loki. Given loki is rather young and still is colossal, and old ancient giant could be even larger in the nidhogg form.
it has probably been slain on wano in its nidhogg form making its skull absolutely gigantic, because even oars skull wasn't that big, so it must have been the nidhogg form (but retained the human shaped skull).
Its skull stayed here and made everyone think the fruit would still be in Wano (as fruits respawn closest to the dying area of the user). Imu was also probably fooled as he was surprised the fruit was in elbaf.
Hence why Kaido is in Wano, and living in that skull, as it is the closest place where that fruit could have reappareated. He said that he is in wano because it is wano, and there is an ancient weapon there. As he already had the dragon fruit, he wanted to make yamato eat the nidhogg fruit, and rule together as the 2 most powerful being on the planet, or have is ideal death to the hands of his child, the creature even more powerful than him, in a honourable challenging fight for him.
The WG wanted Wano affiliated because they think there is an ancient weapon in the form of nidhogg. So the presence of the skull hinted that wano was the host of that ancient weapon fruit.
However, for some reason, once dead, the skull has been retrieved to elbaf, making the whole interest on Wano based on false information from the start.
It looks like the nidhogg fruit allows the user to manipulate weather and elements, so the previous user could be the one that flooded (with the help of zunesha?) the old wano and built those walls. that could have led to zunesha being punished for that crime and the nidhogg user to fight in Wano and die there because he built those walls
Imu will domi reverse Loki and then we'll have Luffy vs gunkimu and then Zoro vs Dragon Loki 🔥 🔥
i doubt zoro can take domi reveris dragon loki on its own, that thing is way more powerful than kaido and the elders
and where would they even fight without interfering with everyone else ? like dragon loki movement covers half the island in 2 seconds, probably a hybrid loki could work better
Idk but us Zoro fans need zkk to be true somehow
delusino hits hard with them
in elbaf zoro could potentially take dorry and broggy domi reversi but that's it, or 2v1 against Gunkimu. Because imu is the end boss of one piece, and he can't beat it right now
I like the Dorry and Broggy one too
Ig lightning is useful against imu
Loki's lightning broke harald the same way it broke sommers when Luffy grabbed one of loki's thunder ⚡ and used it on him
maybe df were wills of people and those people turned into df after they died or something
Maybe they were people of joyboy’s kingdom, and when they lost to imu, they turned into devil fruits
What do you guys think about this ? Haki Was Never Just Fantasy
There are three types of Haki in One Piece:
Color of Observation – Kenbunshoku no Haki
Color of Armament – Busoshoku no Haki
Color of Conqueror – Haoshoku no Haki
I believe Oda didn’t invent these from nothing.
He exaggerated something that already exists in our world.
- Observation Haki – Intuition Refined
Think about a skilled sniper who can hit his shot regardless of wind or visibility.
Or a seasoned boxer who can predict his opponent’s movement before the punch is even thrown.
They’re not seeing the future.
They’ve just trained their perception so deeply that their brain processes patterns faster than conscious thought.
Oda stretched this into literal future sight.
In real life, we call this intuition.
Some people are naturally inclined toward it.
But it can also be trained — through experience, failure, repetition, and exposure to complex systems.
It’s pattern recognition at an elite level
Shanks used the sunstone painter which he got in Elbaf 14 years ago to travel quicker and in the sky. Allowed him to get to Marineford in time also
I think Nidhogg x Nika, the battle that Jarul spoken about in the last chapter, happened because of Imu's powers. Even now, after 800+ years, Imu's powers are unclear for everyone. From what we know Imu may domi-reversi Joyboy in a treacherous way that they did not see coming and turned the tides. There's a extra motive to hide what happened in the lost century if the truth is that some people were being controlled, and the puppet master that "saved" the world was the one at fault. It's weird that Vegapunk tried not to take sides about the conflict knowing what he knows about current WG. Maybe some of what he discovered painted Joyboy as the villain, cause he was following Imu's orders against his will. Imu's powers are the best possible to take control of the narrative and twist the events, as showed in the god valley incident.
Maybe Davy jones was the previous user of nidhogg
, so it was Davy jones vs joyboy
we still need confirmation on if Imu can Domni Reversi people form outside thier homeland, let alone devil fruit users
Don’t we need confirmation that Imu can only Reversi people in their homelands?
We do
For example why didn't he domni reversi the pirates and marines that he stabbed on god valley
From what’s been confirmed- I view it as Imu being arrogant. Thinking that once they converted Rocks and family/friends, that’s all that was needed to win for the day. Why spend any more effort?
If involving theories, maybe the Reversi takes energy/effort/life force (some currency) from Imu and thus it is not worth using it on all of those others.
They reversed Rocks’ people to torment and anger him. To show him he was powerless, to goad Rocks into making a poor decision. It worked out by Rocks trying to fight after that.
<@&164973429412331521>s
@flat rivet was banned!
when Harald was killed, Imu does indeed state that converting people has a cost
It could be bloodlines related. Davy clan and giants are the only ones so far. And Davy clans might be bucaneers and bucaneers have giants blood.
Oh yes, correct! I couldn’t remember the specific scene and no easy way to look it up right now, so I wanted to avoid referencing it. I’m curious if that’s covenant related or just Reversi related. Not sure if they’re really “all” that different.
I speculate that Imu has a limit on how many people they can have under control at once, so they try to choose the most powerful people they can get
I saw a video by joy_boy theories , if you wanna check the whole thing out, but I’m very on board with a lot of his conclusions
- I think the one piece is the eternal flame
- The eternal flame is the soul of the original “god” of one piece
- This god was a dragon
- Luffys white Nika form true form will be a white serpentine dragon
5.loki and luffy are exact opposites of the life and death creation and destruction of the world - Loki derives his power from the souls of the dead while luffy derives his power from the souls of the living
I see alot of flaws with this theory. Eternal flame being the One Piece doesn't make sense since Oda said the One Piece is a tangible physical object.
The Sun God being a dragon is also very suspect since in the big mural on elbaph Nika had no association with a dragon rather the Forest God in the center was depicted as a dragon like creature.
The whole concept of living or dead souls is flawed in it's core as the soul is just that, it doesn't care about it being living or dead
there has to be earth, wind and water df since there's fire df and the forest god is prolly the earth df
Why we all think Dragon least have a wind or weather fruit
Maybe because he has had several apparitions where suddenly weather changed or a very convenient wind gust appeared
That wasn't a question.
Ryuma killed the last Nidhogg DF user
the last niddhog df user alive during Nika's era and Ryuma was from more recent era even after Joyboy's time.
That's not confirmed to be the last
in the latest chapter it was mentioned that the squirrel was guarding the df since his masters death and only now it has found a worthy individual, Loki.
wasnt ryuma like 200 years ago? Actually looking at the wiki it notes 400 years ago. But Oda could always change these time frames.
those 400 years are apparently also not really confirmed as its from some magazine iirc
I would love if Ryuma was the right hand of Joyboy, just like Zoro
What if (since we see what happened with ratataskr) zoros sword has the soul of Kuina in it?
this would be cool but i am not sure if the timeline adds up. Ryuma was born after the void century I believe
Would be an awesome reveal
It looks like my theory on devil fruits is going to be right. with info from the new chapters
I pray to god it doesn't
You want her to be alive still? There’s a common phrase in Japan for childhood self deletion “falling down the stairs”. If she self deleted especially with that sword…….
nah I want her to stay dead
Cause if kuina is brought back it means anyone can be brought back. and that's the last thing one piece needs
Just got an idea for Blackbeard.
My idea is that when you get domi reversi'd you're flipped right? You have your domi reversi version and your real human version. So you could say they kind of exist as 2 different entities, your evil side, your good side. Living in the abyss and the real world.
So when you get domi reversi'd, your abyss/evil side comes to the human world, and your human side exists in the abyss for a while.
So to link this to blackbeard maybe what makes him so dangerous is that with his darkness fruit he can actually take control of the power of his "evil form" or abyss form?
So instead of blackbeard being acknowledged as just one person (his human form), because he has the power to take control of his abyss form, it's recognised as 2 entities, which is what allows him to house multiple fruits. He houses one with the body that lives in the abyss, and the one that lives in the real world.
So imagine a world where imu tries to domi reversi blackbeard, but it actually just doesn't work because blackbeard is already in control of his evil/abyss form? Wouldn't that be cool?
And then i guess if blackbeard does become the final villain, the way to fully defeat him would be to get rid of all of the housed entities in his body, which would be his main self, his abyss/evil version of himself and then possibly any other power/entities he might absorb.
So you know how oda said that something similar to the tot musica monster exists in the real one piece world? What if there is a fight against blackbeard in an abyss reality and the real world reality to defeat his human AND abyss version because he has control over both of them?
Kinda like there were 2 different realities/fights aaginst the tot musica monster in film red right?
id say devil fruit users cannot be domi reversed
all the domi reversed people didnt have fruits asw
What's yall thought on this.
What if what oda recently did with the note under water is a clue to what the one piece is or where it is? Like in one piece it's at the bottom of the ocean, or that the one piece is a chest with a note in, something like that?
i got a theory since 3 of the MMA that Qillingham created have come up in the story rn, Niddhog, Nika and the mom. i guess the draugr could relate to Brook powers or somethin while as the same Fenrir with Chopper or Usopp, no idea on Jormungandr
Since Blackbeard has 3 people inside him, does he also have 3 hearts?
ans since Luffy's heart beats to Liberation Song in sync which also has 3 different Beats
can Blackbeard's heart do the same
making him sort of a false Joyboy?
theory- ussop will get a new weapon like ragnier
...
Also what if to access the One Piece you have to dance to a certain rhythm that Joyboy made
That's why Roger laughed because no matter what his crew did they couldn't figure out how to dance and it js seemed so silly the greatest treasure in the world is dance locked
and why shanks needs Luffy's help to get One Piece
Roger and whitebeard would be such trolls just saying the one piece is out there while it would be locked even if you find it
Instead of just telling the world before his death, just get dance lessons xD
This was part of my theory as well. The difference being it just takes luffys g5 heartbeat being in proximity (drums of liberation) to 'activate' it. Just like it did with Emeth
I lowk still believe that Roger laughed cuz he saw imus real identity ( joyboy mashed her/him up with his imagination into reality stuff
Are ya saying the entirety of One Piece exists cause Imu was too insecure in his/her looks and Joyboy trolled him for it?
I actually rlly like that, it'll open up a lot about ryuma, since we still havnt got much from him apart from he's zoros bloodline and some basic stuff
No, but its a possible speculation to what Roger was laughing at
Or the One Piece could literally be a One Piece
that dress that women wear
and Joyboy wore it while fighting Imu to ragebait her
I still think the one piece is the whole world connecting whilst the red line breaks, and it makes sense cuz " one piece". Also the all blue, all of the straw hats will get their dream from it, ( ik the dude said the one piece is a physical thing but its the only thing that clicks in my head
Also what's the thing with people saying that luffy will be infuriated during the end of one piece because his future was sorta "known and controlled"
Shiki is the man marked by flames
So let’s assume the man marked by flames is not a new character, it’s someone we already know; it could be a former Roger pirate, or shiki because he escaped impel down 22 years ago, and no one knows where he is, and he had deep respect for Roger aswell.
So Yh
its Sabo, Oda confirmed it long ago
he died after they revered him cause he drowned
do y'all not read the manga at all?
Im stupid wrong channel
ye then why ask
how does the whirlpools and the pitchblack ship fit in?
then maybe it could be a former Roger pirate, such as sambel the fishman
no? when
i think rocks is still alive after this chapter
Do I sense some future Sunny upgrades?
DREAM FUEL!
I dont think so, I think is obvious roger and garp killed him and thats why he got back to normal, but then he was killed again by garling
yea i remember that now bummer i want him to come back😪
what makes dory and broggy jump out of domi?
Their deaths in Domi form apparently..
I think we are going to see Fenrir in the upcoming chapters… Fenrir is a character in Norse closely tied to Ragnarok and is the brother of the world Serpent, Jormungadr and they are children of Loki.
Now wolves and other wild beasts in the underworld have a special relationship with Loki and we’ve seen how attached they were. Fenrir is known for being a destroyer and a chaos monster, similar to the belief of Elbaf about the God of Destruction Nika.
I believe that Loki is going to be turned into Domi reversi monster and to turn him back Luffy might need the help of Fenrir to defeat him. It’s been heavily teased since the beginning from the wolves in the underworld and the MMA creature.
And King Harald?
more likely for herald to be alive as a slave
Wait, if death frees the turned, coudnt that mean that xebec is still alive?
A better question would be: even though oda implied rocks died here, will he pull a Pell situation and have Rocks still be alive somehow
im confused about something - if Domi Reversi only needs to kill the victim to reverse its effects - why didnt it work on harald ?
Harald just had the Deep Deep Sea pact, he wasn't Domi Reversi'd. He died because Loki used Advance Conq Haki + Ragnir to bypass his immortality and kill him
very true!
@cosmic ermine asked about Rocks - any ideas about that ?
I think it has something to do with how the Domi Reversi was applied. In Elbaph, Imu used some weird ritual and spell book...but on God Valley, he stabbed his tentacles directly into Rocks to turn him.
Could also be that you only get restored to normal if you actually die in Domi Reversi mode. If Imu lets you go, then maybe you go back to normal at current damage level. Maybe Imu lets rocks go when he got far enough away from God Valley. And Rocks who was almost dead after the attack stayed in that state, having not been officially flipped back.
This DR plot point is clearly rushed .
We didn't see a single attack by DR broggy and dorry on single random giant or anyone else ..
It would have been cooler if we saw them in action first then zoro cut them while fighting them then they start regaining senses and kill each other but they turn back normal instead
anyone got any interesting old theories?
Rocks is probably Hinokizu after the Dorry and Broggy revelation that they literally healed up after DR
Rocks was killed by the Holyknights
1)By the end all the surviving warlord that aren’t part or ally of the straw hat will join the cross guild
2) Rumble ball cause fake awakening- my theory about chopper
dead or a slave in mari . Nah.. his crew would have heard about it. He is dead.
How would you even enlsave him? That guy was built different
Will of D is the Will of Death - The true warrior spirit of Elbaph and the D clan
The legend of Sun God Nika has been a long standing tradition of Elbaph and the big mural and also the big straw hat in Mary Geoise are examples of links between Elbaph and Joyboy. How Luffy (also Gol D Roger) carries himself , the willingness to face Death without fear and to rather die than allow close friends to get harmed, is very similar to how the giant warriors of Elbaph approach life. Laughter is another element which seems to be shared between the giants and Luffy, which shows just how close they are in their beliefs. I believe that the warrior spirit of Elbaph was inherited and was inspired by Joyboy originally and the Elbaph way of life can be a way of showing true loyalty to Joyboy's memory, even Death can't stand in the way of true friendship.
In chapter 1176 we now see something very interresting and something that can attribute to the true reason why Imu and the Gorosei are the enemies of Elbaph. Dorry and Brogy's will to rather die than hurt their warrior pride and loyalty and to not attack Jarul whom they see as a father figure, they are accepting death which is a very difficult thing to do. It is a fundamental principle that Imu want to rule through power and fear and the warrior spirit of Elbaph is the complete opposite which is to smile in the face of Death (just like Luffy, Gol D Roger and Joyboy), they cannot be ruled by fear of Death. Gol D Roger's last words to Rayleigh was "I will not die, partner" which is the true spirit of Joyboy and also shared by Elbaph.
The Will of D is the Will of Death
does anyone else think how the school looks frozen is similar to the guy in impel down frozen?
either sanji or zoro is gonna get domi reversi'd (prolly sanji) and theyre gonna have an actual 1v1 for the first time to decide whos stronger (zoro)
my theory is the one piece is a key for opening a door connected to fishman island or under it cause of that one mermaid saying luffy will destroy fishman island i think by destroying he wil find the one piece or use it for smthb on the island
I think Oda purposely keeps the rivalry alive, to feed the conversation
def, but at the end of one piece it wont rlly matter so getting a conclusion would be peak
I haven’t seen anyone talking about how Rocks was lying right next to Roger and Garp. The holy knights would surely also execute Roger after Rocks. This makes me think we haven’t seen the whole scene yet. Something had to happen for them to not finish off Roger, he had to recover, get up and reach the ship which didn’t seem like something he would be able to do on his own.
Yh
There is a chapter of them getting carried away...
He had 4 arms while in rocks crew too in some panels btw
I forgot that, but is there any reference or explanation on why he was spared?
It has to be intentional. Maybe oda changed mind later but that can’t be an accident.
Hello all wise kings and queens of the OP community. Has anyone ever made a comprehensive theory on Usopp being an aspect of Blackbeard?
One of the three heads? Separated near birth?
Didn't Roger and Garp get rescued and carried away by his crew?
Stop. Usopp is just shit. Don’t tie him to Blackbeard
I agree, but the only thing to me that makes sense is for him to intentionally be shit.
Na because when roger arrived at laughtale, he said “joyboy! How could leave this stupendous treasure”.
Highlighting that it was an actual treasure, not a key
True hope the one piece is smth only one piece fans would understand
Vegapunks body is with them, a dead corpse with a devil fruit. Just like in marineford with whitebeard. Blackbeard hides under the black blanket or whatever and comes out with whitebeard's power.
What if lillith is able to get vegapunk's devil fruit by using his dead body too? We could maybe see someone retrieve the brain brain fruit here tbh
What if, Blackbeard ate Whitebeard heart, in order to get his devil fruit
pretty plausible considering same thing happened to big mom
Oh yh forgot bout that 💀
Just have a quick thought on one of the main running themes in one piece which is "Dreams" and how devil fruit are basically born from dreams or desires. What if the WG is purposely causing despair to force more people to dream. That they are basically farming devil fruits this way. I'm thinking the greater the despair, the more powerful a fruit is born.
it's unclear if vegapunk is truly dead biologically speaking since his actual physical brain is still functioning in another location
Someone earlier said that the will of D. is the will of Death, and that could make sense as all D members die smiling

i remember Linlin ate the entirety of the old woman
guys i guess this has been talked about for ages but im rewatching one pace ennis lobby and whats with the whole floating island like its lulusia. and why is it nightless, especially since the sun is very much attributed to our mc, or maybe lack of dreaming? since its always day its hard for people to sleep and dream?
Right now it looks like what destroyed lulusia was used there in the past too. It’s also near water 7 with the weird water level raising recurring event. About the light, I don’t think we know for sure the lulusia hole has eternal sunlight now. I personally think that if it’s not a sideeffect of the weapon, it might be an effect of logia fruit awakening. We don’t know what logia awakening does but we saw that Akoiji vs akainu left permanent weather changes in punk hazard, that might be what logia awakening does. A previous user of kizarus fruit might have left ennies lobby permanently lit.
? Wdym
It’s a link to a theory of mine where I talked in detail about fruits being in the heart and eating hearts transferring the power.
I see
I’ll have a read of it later
i have a theory abt Luffy, believe me he will be the pirate with the eye patch, how?
pretty simple but very very solid reasons, his wings are both one eyed or atleast showed with only one eye, zoro's left eye is scarred, and sanji's left eye is covered by his hairs, they are both with one eye, and their captain should be also with one eye
not convincing enough? wait
in real life or movies, the pirates shown with one eye are often the strongest of all, showing their injuries, their battles and all of them are one of a kind, no pirate in one piece is shown with eye patch or even with 1 eye, zoro and sanji being one eyed is itself a string proof of it
well more if u want, the 1176 chapter's cover there is a skull with an eye patch and rest of the cover is straw hat pirates, moreover the skull is wearing a hat with blue and re stripes the prominent colors luffy is often shown with.
Luffy has to be the pirate who will get an eye patch, i m not denying all theories of joyboy being the one with eye patch or even the man with burned scar being the one, but luffy will get eye patch, i m sure of it
I suspect Zoro is already the pirate with an eye patch. You got some of the pirate lore correct.
An eye patch wasn’t always to cover a lost eye. Some pirates would cover an eye with an eye patch to have an eye adapted to the darkness at all times.
I suspect it is infact zoro oda was excited to draw all along.
i doubt zoro is "already" with an eye patch, but ig sure oda could have meant to portray zoro sanji both to be one eyedor eye patched by eos
Yamato is oden so she might go to sail after traveling in the whole wano
Imagine meeting up with luffy and joining the crew
The last ponneglyph was in fishman island, then after Roger became pirate king, “the man marked by flames” must’ve took that ponneglyph. Maybe it’s a former Roger pirate
isn't the motherflame and an ancient weapon suspected of being the causes for lulusia? off topic but im said usopp a) never used dials again b)never gave franky dials to make cool weps
also in post ennies lobby we heard garp say he heard dragon helped luffy in loguetown, i always assumed smoker reported it but what if he met his son as part of sword? bit far fetched i think the first assumption is the one oda intended but it keeps things vague enough
but from we got from the recent god valley flashbacks i'd bump that possibility up enough to be a thing oda might want to reveal in another flashback later lol
Yes, seems to be an ancient weapon powered by mother flame. Ussop used the dials for Nami’s newest clima tact. Her attacks are dial based. Ussops whole theme was moved to the pop greens. Franky is more of an engineer and the dials are more in the weird natural (like pop greens) tool category, they are shellfishs. I don’t think it’s impossible Garp talked to dragon, but I don’t think they will ever clarify about that, he probably just read the marine report on the incident.
i agree
Seems fair for the last part. I feel like nami is Def odas playing fav cause on the weaker side she's always been pretty strong and now zeus
Im watching the la and with reverse mountain and the holes where lulusia was and the hole in enis lobby. Could the water and how it works at the mountain and the holes be related?
LIVE ACTION SPOILER ALERT
In the new live-action season, Brogy says this to Usopp after Usopp says that his new dream is visiting Elbaph one day:
- "Ohh, you'll fit right in! Maybe you'll stand out a little...!"
that last part got me wondering if it may be foreshadowing
how?
"maybe you'll stand out a little", foreshadowing for Usopp actually doing something MAJOR. Unless that line was used in the manga too, but ofc I didn't read it for that chapter, only started after I caught up to the anime, and the anime I havent watched that season since years ago so I dont recall, and this isnt like the anime, Oda follows the whole live action
I mean he did try and spur the giants and got them to fight
one thing is getting them to fight another is doing that and getting caught and tied up after doing so.
granted, he did blow up imu/gunko, but she let him hit her
i fckning hope so.. live action gave a good and beautiful adaption of Usopp
I wrote a long theory about that, I think there might be an underground ocean/continent. Vegapunk even metioned underground waters when talking about the earthquakes. If water is eternally falling into those holes there has to be an underground ocean. And if the sea level isn’t lowering from that that water has to come back to the surface somewhere (like the upward streams they used to reach Skypea or reverse mountain upwards stream)
Would be interesting to know if after the lulusiana event the upwards stream at reverse mountain has more water
If death breaks the curse shouldn’t rocks and harald be alive?
Rocks was killed by the Holy Knights and Harald wasnt domi reversi'd, he was controlled by the deep sea contract of Imu, Loki killed him
Interesting that makes sense
The Sun God fruit is apt because it can eat the mother flame and contain it, using its power and turning on fire. The reason York is on Imu's side is because she will perfect the mother flame and Imu is the only other person who can use its power anywhere close to the Sun Gods. The other Vegapunks will also recreate it and thats how Luffy gets it.
Oda said the final war will top everything. I fully expect a near planet sized Luffy to be fighting against a Domi Reversi world in the endgame.
The reason imu doesnt go crazy over Luffy right now is because the sun god fruits threat is not its normal abilities but its capacity absorb infinite energy in the form of the mother flame. Without the Mothwr Flame, Lufy isnt half the threat to Imu imo.
Another littlr thing to add: the mother flames are metaphors for the 2 nukes that got dropped on japan. Ultimately, the fight between Luffy and Imu will destroy much of the world, the threat will end, and the world will havw to rebuild/restart, but the will of d. Will have succeeded and been inherited by everyone, and in the end some strawhat-like characters ride off into the sunset far into the future, no pirate flag, just adventure, and brook will be monologuing and maybe singing binks sake off camera. They sail into the sunset that looks like a strawhat. The end.
Now that we know how Domi Reversi works, its easy to see a Domi Reversi world being completely destroyed by Luffy. He will literally be planet size and punch through the planet, completely obliterating it, and then the real world will "flip" back. Shoot, the Moon will probably come into play too.
Now that more chapters have passed, I have more potential evidence I’d like to draw on for this theory.
During the 8 years Loki spent at sea after father-slaying, I believe there could actually be a clear motive for Loki actually venturing to the South Blue during his near-decade voyage at sea.
That is, to find and visit the original giant homeland of the “only mother he had”. Ida, who hails from Samiwanai Isle. Ida should have surely told Loki about her homeland during all the time he spent around her growing up. Especially given how easily she told Harald this information.
This is where the foundation of how a possible Loki encounter with Kid could have sprawled from, followed by all other evidence I’ve already done my best connecting the two by.
Just so you guys don’t miss this extra hypothesis in support of my pre-established theory @cobalt igloo @desert quest @simple bolt @slate burrow
Some great additions to the theory for sure.
Though, I do have one question. Shouldn’t Kid be stronger than he is now, if the theory were true?
holy shit this is good
About the strength part.. I don't mean to say that Loki necessarily trained him, but moreso helped raise Kid's ideals to mirror that of a traditional and savage Elbaph warrior. Meeting a giant like him could have also given him inspiration for his magnetic devil fruit to fight like a giant, and attain a similar clothing aesthetic.
So it's just like how Shanks and Corazon effected Luffy and Law-- not so much from a combat sense, (Except for perhaps Law's "Silence" technique), but the most important part is just idolizing the figure and adopting their ideals.
As we know, Loki was at sea and could have likely visited the South Blue while Kid was from ages 9 to 17. Therefore, he didn't even need to be on his home island of Kutzk Island to meet Loki. He could have already been on his pirate journey as a teenager in the South Blue, just like how Ace and Luffy began as teens too.
I could also see Loki being like a Dorry/Broggy figure for him, esp if they met at sea
@dusk canopy @pure knot I know you guys mean well, but one-lined ideas that exist as a way of just sorta.. "calling" something or the other will happen in the story aren't allowed in this channel when presented in such a skeletal state unbacked by evidence. It's our protocol as seen in this channel's description up top. Sorry, but practically any other channel will suffice for your ideas though
@everyone Alright this is going to sound insane but hear me out. What if the One Piece isn’t treasure, a weapon, or even something physical at all? What if it’s literally a message from the past revealing that the entire ocean system is artificial. Like imagine if the Red Line and Calm Belts were created by some ancient civilization as a giant machine to control the planet’s oceans and climate. The Grand Line wouldn’t just be weird currents it would be the result of the world being “broken” on purpose. Roger reached Laugh Tale, learned the truth, and laughed because the whole pirate era is basically people chasing a secret that says the world itself was engineered wrong. Luffy might end up doing something completely ridiculous like accidentally destroying the Red Line, shutting down the ancient system, and turning the planet back into one natural ocean again. The One Piece wouldn’t be gold… it would literally be the instructions on how to reset the world. And the reason the government fears the Will of D so much is because that family line might be descendants of the people who originally built or rebelled against that ancient system.
Not a SOUL got pinged💔😭✌️
And while cool in theory, it would be more convincing if there was any evidence, and not just “Imagine this”
i belive him though it does make since
Ok guys so I have a crazy theory, so in one of the later fights we’re going to have in the show Luffy with be fighting someone and Luffy will be getting his ahh kicked then right before the guy does a final attack to kill Luffy a huge lighting bolt stops it and enel pulls up because he has a problem with the villain so him and Luffy do a 2v1 and win, idk who the villain will be tho but I think if this happens it will be tuff
If it’s true that enel is on the moon I think it’s because he’s hiding or creating a plan for the villain
Guys mine idk sounds kinda stupid but oh well its just a opinion.
The series won't end with someone claiming the one piece instead luffy will arrive at laugh tale and in laugh tale im pretty sure there will a tale told which is about the 800 yr void century and about joyboy which will make the straw hats laugh hence the name given "Laugh Tale" and once luffy gets close to getting the one piece on that island... Blackbeard will come and snatch it from hiding like the coward he is then his crew fights the strawhats but since they were caught off guard they would get beaten and then luffy rages. After that Strawhats and the Strawhats Grand Fleet will arrive at hikoniso (i think thats how u spell it idk) Blackbeards base and by that time everyone will know that the one piece is in Blackbeards possession so all the pirates will rush there and with all the commotion The World Government, 5 elders, Imu and the Marines will all go there and have a Giant War. And after that luffy might destroy the red line allowing all the seas to be connected and making the one piece world in One Piece which would also allow sanjis dream to be a reality and it might destroy fishman island like the mermaid predicted
how does every one feel on the gunko and brook connection despite brooks big initial ambition was to meet to Laboon. if he had a family wouldn't he choose that instead? idk im jus rewatching thriller bark and it's kind of a retcon if there's a blood connection
also on captain york's ship brook already had eaten the devil fruit and oda made sure to make him say that he couldnt swim. he also has stitches in his head. did someone give him the fruit so he wouldnt die? i still feel like there's alot that can be written with brook because of all the strawhats its the vaguest backstory and of course having that time difference to the old age and the baddies having immortality it's a handy writing device
its pretty obvious that they arent blood related, she is supposedly the daughter of a man he admired and who has helped him a lot in the past
how would it be a retcon anyway, like you said we barely know anything about Brooks life, people throw the word "retcon" around these days without actually knowing what it means
Brook said he was formerly a kings guard of a certain kingdom. That extra backstory for him is something we are waiting for since thriller bark.
Ooooooo, incredibly wrong
enlighten me
not as much as a retcon as a big redireciton in brooks initial plot. doesnt invalidate the promise he made to laboon and that being his ambition, but still overshadowed by something alot bigger
This is my theory about usopp after watching KOL video about usopp not getting anything so far.
I think I know what oda will go for.
And its gonna be lame but people will say its character growth.
The owl will make usopp a giant and for a tiny bit he will be able to protect someone but he will still be afraid.
So the conclusion for usopp will be that it doesnt matter how big or strong you are to be brave as he stands up to protect this someone once again and then other straw hats will arrive....I can envision sanji and zoro holding usopp up and luffy says something as he stands in front ready to beat whatever it is.
I do hope whatever it is isnt loki cuz that means oda introduced loki as an ally just to make him an enemy.
I assume he's gonna be the second rocks where it took 2 conqueror haki users to beat him.
So my assumption is at the very least it will take luffy zoro and sanji using conqueror haki to defeat him and its basically gonna finally be a reveal that sanji also has it and zoro can control it better now too.
And it ends with usopp smiling cuz he just saw the future before it even happened.
I feel like usopp smiling at the end will probably be the coolest part.
Maybe the reason why giant usopp could held on for a bit is that due to possession loki couldnt use the hammer anymore and so usopp picked it up as a giant and used it to defend from loki attacks.
All of this doesnt excuse oda not giving usopp any action for all these arcs but hoping oda does something amazing or its gonna be a big issue eventually.
Remember he did say something along the lines of "I wish I didn't need to ever think about you ever again" when confronting gunko/imu. It is likely that in the eventual flashback brook thought that gunko killed the one brook admired when in actuality it wasn't her or it was but with a reason. In that case why would Brook want to go meet someone who killed his best man.
What is the one piece is imu’s heart
So the fate of the world will depend on whoever has imu’s heart
i thought for a long while one scene that was never fit right for me. we know shanks and mihawk were rivals/friends as swordsman, and the first scenes we see with the two of them is when mihawk brings luffy’s poster. he “remember a story about in a small village” and personally goes to shanks. why?
we know two things currently. first, oda loves backtracking right now. we know this because now we sorta maybe have an additional reason for shanks giving up his arm (gods knights). he is adding layers onto scenes from everywhere in the story. second, we slightly know mihawk’s character more. he’s elusive, he’s apathetic, but he’s smart about it all. mihawk doesn’t do anything more than what he needs. he had no interest becoming a yonko, but did have interest in warlord status. why? to get the marines off his back, but not the world attention that comes with yonko status. he fought with the marines in marineford but stopped when shanks go involved. he is using buggy as a frontman for cross guild. hammering in the point, he wont do anything more than what is needed.
so why did he go to shanks? we get so few scenes with shanks, but the same goes for mihawk and we need to look into the gravity of mihawk scenes the same as we do shanks. every shanks scene is important because it builds onto the world we know, and he is luffy’s mentor. mihawk is zoro’s goal, but in a way his scenes do the same for the context of the one piece world.
I think Shanks (has/is part of) a plan to take down Imu, and Mihawk is in on said plan. Why would he not question his rival sacrificing his arm for a kid? Someone he admired and respected as a swordsman and person, leaving the fight out of respect for shanks, not fighting him with one less arm, drinking with him. They are friends. They know each other’s lives, and they work together. Hence, another reason Mihawk would train Zoro.
This is still a WIP theory but it was a random thought I had.
i think this is an appropriate theory to explain on a deeper level why mihawk went to the east blue in the first place, in order to check up on luffy. because first of all, mihawk should have been able to finish don krieg off very easily in the storm that they were caught in, and second of all there was an entire period of days where don krieg was still sailing back to the east blue (albeit defeated and starving) while mihawk waited during this time until they reached baratie. from there, it was simply just mihawk's test on if they actually had the character to be the pirate king.
i don't think however that mihawk is on shank's plan, but that he only wishes to understand the reasoning as to why, and this reasoning was answered in both baratie and during the timeskip.
this is because while shanks was perceived to be friendly-ish to mihawk, shank's own crew doesn't know that, and so when mihawk went to meet shanks his crew was truly terrified of him and shanks immediately assumes they will fight.
mihawk of course doesn't, but instead tries to further his own understanding of why shanks chose humanity over power because he himself sacrificed his entire humanity for power.
i think his character arc is moreso explained by how luffy and by proxy how shanks has impacted him, especially from marineford where mihawk realises that the true strongest power in the world is the ability to bring people together; therefore, he tries having companions like zoro and perona and he tries to be a little bit more human, and here he is realising more and more and understanding why shanks is the way he is and why he chose humanity over power in his decision to save luffy by sacrificing his arm.
of course the recontextualization of the holy knight mark existing makes it different and this theory is understandable but i think what i said are reasonable justifications of why mihawk is the way he is without the theory being involved.
guys maybe i missed smth, but Law's fruit lets him revive a single dead person, in exchange for his own life, right? Why would Oda ever make this a thing? I think at some point, prob during the final war, Luffy will die, and Law will sacrafice himself to revive Luffy.
idk if this is valid or not. maybe i missed some lore or smth idk.
No, that's not how it works, no reviving, the fruit can give someone eternal youth
Ohh
Oh then i did miss smth.
Thx :]
Yo wait does that mean someome could have given imu eternal youth.
Wait prob not. His power automatically does it ig
that has been an ongoing theory yes
Alr 👍
Did u guys ever thought about Blackbeard having 2 devil fruits is simply him learned about giving one to his ring
i actually thought of blackbeard being able to eat 2 devil fruits bcuz they arent the same type of fruits, like one is paramecia and one is logia they dont have the same type and one that nullifies abilities and stuff and one that destroys them
so i think that to eat more than one devil fruit, you should eat one that is the exact opposite of the devil fruit you have and a different type.
i hope this is valid!
I think this is a pretty valid theory (that eating devil fruits is fine if their the opposite) and it would be pretty funny if akainu tried getting one similar to like ice but ate a logia and just.... Exploded or something. I feel like it would be more of 'u can eat a logia and paramecia but not paramecia and paramecia or logia and logia'. It wud be a pretty big twist if Blackbeard just gave one fruit to his ring tho
It could be a possibility, another theory i find interesting is that he has multiple souls inside him and he is able to eat a fruit for every soul. Also this could be the reason he is not able to sleep, when a soul goes to sleep another one is awake and the body stays awake forever.
oh yh fr he always uses his left hand for quake fruit and right hand for dark fruit,he got rings on both of them and maybe he can still swim and didnt learn how based on your theory
i dont like this theory for 1 simple reason wich is the body will be so exhausted from being active for more than a whole day and him not sleeping has to be a rumour because spending his whole life without sleeping is so ridiculous, the body cant take away the exhaustion without sleep so blackbeard has to sleep or yes he has 3 souls but one is awake at morning, one at afternoon and one at evening and at night he goes to sleep.
the body cant do physical or mental activities without fully have rest from sleeping 👍
The body doesnt have to agree to real life rules, there are a lot of abnormalities in one piece
I mean id like to remain open to interpretation i never believe that something is the absolute truth till i get confirmation
well yes you are right there are sum unexplainable and mysterious stuff in one piece like raijiin island the thunder never stops, but some stuff like the body can have sum exceptions
When Luffy is defending his crew to Arlong back in Arlong Park he specifically mentions that he needs Usopp because Luffy cannot lie himself. Dr. Vegapunk says that Nika is somebody who plays a fool; going along with both of these ideas, what if luffy was intuiting at the first stages of his adventure that he would specifically need a 'liar', he would specifically need somebody that could be 'captain usopp'. Luffy doesn't take credit for things, doesn't stay around to be celebrated or thanked beyond the banquet... at the end of the story, when the world is saved or whatever is going to happens happens; maybe Usopp is the fall guy- it's his destiny to assume the legend status and take credit for everything while covering up the dangerous details of the actual story with lies when neccesary.
I think devil fruits reside in the heart. That’s the reason big mom got an ability from eating someone. That’s why he covered whitebeard who conveniently had a hole in his heart. Octopuses are said to not sleep. Octopuses have three hearts. Giant octopuses are the ultimate enemy in every pirate fantasy. His bounty is 3996000. SAN KOkoro, three hearts. Every emperor has a pun or meaning in his bounty.
And before nidhogg, the most special devil fruits apart from BB’s were nika and ope ope. One has the whole heart drums thing going on and the user has an X scar over his chest. The other is shaped like a heart and was eaten by the captain of the heart pirates. Also when brook arrived to his timeskip island, when he pretends to be the devil he says he is going to eat their hearts.
There are even more clues, I wrote a more detailed post here once but I don’t remember them all now, but for example green blood points to it being in the circulatory system. Because it has to be a specific body part that is vital and you only have one of if it’s something you can get by eating the user like big mom did. BB wanted aces fruit and didn’t steal it at marineford. Guess why? Ace had no heart because of his wound. Akainu even says “I missed the heart” when he attacks Luffy. AndMarco says that maybe it is because of BBs odd body that he could eat two fruits, what could a pirate doctor with limited medical machinery have noticed? Two or three heartsbeats.
Just outta curiosity why did people always theoryze the impel down jailers were awakened zoans? Cause they had a full form animal without losing conscience? At least in the more recent manga/anime the awakened zoans usually have some sort of cloud effect (lucci,Luffy, kaido, I can't remember more). I mean they were strong even for pre time skip but aren't awkened fruits get away more powerscaled later on? Ofc it would make sense of the world gvt to put strong guards in their prison but why not regular strong zoans, what was the thing that made people talk about them being awakened forms?
Croc literally said it. And they are in hybrid not full animal form.
Oh I'm rewatching impel down and the jailers just got revealed. I didn't remember that. But to have a hybrid you need to awaken it right? Is x drake a hybrid in sabaody-later on?
No, awakening seems to give a second hybrid form
Oh so there's still/probably never gonna be no confirmation the jailers are awakened since we only see one form of them anyways right? I think it was cool to think about but from what we've seen so far awakened fruits seem to go much farther even if zoan
Anyways Ty for the reminders xD and sry if these questions seem kinda dumb/over talked it's just it's been a while since I rewatched and I'm just reading the manga for like a year or more now
Oh damn. I never read that part of the manga or noticed that translation. Mb thanks!
This is the most grounded but crazy theory I’ve yet to see. Bravo. Also real Blackbeard apparently ate hearts to scare pirates away andddd the pirates of the Caribbean and Blackbeard locking up his heart
ya know....if awakened zones are the truest forms of the devil fruit....it may bear some kind of connection to Sulong and Domi Reversi. Both forms cause one to lose their rationality. Sulong we have seen you can train yourself to maintain your reasoning with training. Increased strength and regeneration sounds familiar. Draining a users stamina....
The heart of Davy jones which seems to be Bb’s ancestor. Eating hearts to gain power has been a thing in humanity’s past. Not so long ago (2013) there were videos and reports of Syrian soldiers doing this to fallen enemies. Aztec sun gods required human hearts as sacrifies as it gave them their powers. There is a lot to it.
are u oda's alt
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Vegapunk mention that most Awakened Zoans lose their human selves when the animal instincts get stronger? Both the jailers and Lucci are awakened, Lucci just gets the fancy smoke wreathe and retains the ability to shift forms because he didn't turn permanently into his hybridized form.
I'd be curious if him breaking rank to try and solo Luffy is a manifestation of that animal instinct. Bro literally could not help himself.
Is it possible that Rocks is the burned man?
considering he is dead probably not
After what we learned about domi reversi I don't think it's a given that he's dead
what do you think the HK did to him when he was on the ground and Garling raised his sword?
Missed
Swinging for the stars
Maybe Davy jones is again the dusk vs joy boy was the dawn
I got a theory that the walls around wano is created by the ppl themselves, the made it in order to not get flooded when imu uses it’s ancient weapon, but then imu didn’t so it was fine, then rain water filled it and ppl just forgot about it and went higher up
Im wondering if its blood. Since we know vegapunk made green blood out of the impel down prisoners. To syntheticlly create the abilities.
It also would explain BB gaining WBs fruit if he drank some blood. While simultaneously explaining how BM got mother Caramels fruit.
What do tou think about the theory of kidd being the 7th vegapunk satelite
I love it but what would he represent of vegapunk’s qualities?
His inner kid
Satellites are all representations of esoteric inner archetypal aspects, which is made obvious with the use of the name "Lilith" for one of them. Very Jungian.
Kidd could be Ares-energy, in that regard. The archetype of war. Vegapunk's repressed will to fight, explore and conquer.
I don't subscribe to the theory though. If true, it would most likely be one of Oda's retcons.
I base the retcon idea on the fact that "Shaka" exists, which is the science of war, since his name is derived from Shaka Zulu, a historical character famous for his war tactics and ability to defend against Roman legions...
I mean, Kidd could be something weaker, like Vegapunk's archetype of manliness or something like that.
I need to do some stuff so I'll stop here but if anyone has questions I can add more, sorry
That would be problematic, you can get liters of blood from someone without killing them. And blood transfusions are a thing in one piece. But the heart could be altering the blood on a permanent basis. Vegapunk just managed to modify the blood in the same manner a user’s heart would.
Also both times Blackbeard used it, it looked like he was pulling the heart /chest towards him. The head and limbs seems to be towed by the body and not the actual part being pulled.
And look at this darkness tendril, almost seems like it goes to her heart
Logically if it was sucking in it still would pull chest first because that is where the largest mass is.
We know BB did do something under the sheet to WB. Drinking a just killed df users blood to gain the power isnt to crazy. We know that if we were to split a df in half who ever first consumes 1 half gets the power. The other doesnt. Just drinking blood wouldnt work, unless death was near for the ability to jump like df reincarnation.
he would represent the violence, thats the reason he irrationally picks strong opponents like shanks and kaido.
i got some proof for this theory and that'd be the fact that his named attacks contain punk in their names, the cannon he creates for damn punk has 07 written on it(pointing out that he is the 7th satellite) and there is a mechanical beast at egghead island that corresponds to kidd, each satellite has a mechanical beast related to it
Hearts would explain many more things and scenes that I mentioned above. It would even explain him eating two, Marco’s quote etc.
Whixh Marco quote?
maybe he ate whitebeards heart
big mom got her devil fruit by eating mother carmel, so yh
His doctor stated it was probably because of the oddity of his body. I say it’s that he has two or three hearts.
I don’t understand how more people dont think it’s hearts. It’s not that many oddities he could have that would make sense in this context.
Oda was laying it on a little thick with Burgess trying to kill luffy and take his devil fruit. I think the heart is a likely mechanism.
I dont believe its hearts, I believe its souls since we have a literal example of more than 1 person in a body. Where as 3 hearts doesnt inherently solve the no sleep of BB. While switching personalities whenever one falls asleep does.
What example is that? I don’t think that has ever been stated in the manga. And how would his odd body give him several souls. Also, octopuses have three hearts and are said to not sleep. It’s a possibility.
Someone like burguess using a knife when he wants to get the devil fruit out of someone is another huge clue.
Cavendish? Its 2 people in one body and is seen as such. The no sleep thing ties into BBs body being different. Its something that is obviously connected to it all.
i think the dark fruit have the ability of storing 2 more fruits. just like the nika have the properties of rubber. and i think the reason why blackbeard waited to eat one until he found it because rocks probably told his mom about it.
That’s a split personality as far as we know, not another person or soul.
There are no clues for believing that in the manga. And it ignores actual clues like Marco’s statement.
3 hearts, 1 body, and two beautiful eyes
or the belly. luffy was grabbed just beneath the torso iirc. one piece often circles around having guts. could be "logical" since what you eat ends up in the gut. I think BB just had a few apples in his pocket when hiding under the curtain. then ate it. but we still don't know why he can have two powers.
BB stabbed Thatch's liver, I think. Not the heart.
A Kraken/Squid has 3 hearts right?
Ty, I dont agree with the 3 heart theory since it doesnt explain the no sleep factor that is unique to BB. While we have 1 canon example of how when 1 character sleeps another person/entity controls the body.
We know souls exsist and that they have wills. The DF attaching to the spirit/soul of the person giving them energy makes more sense than the heart to me for DFs and how they work in otherworldly ways in the OP universe.
Marco mentioned the special body structure and not a zoan df. there were a lot of df users in the crew but then he was cryptic about it. maybe the davy d. are built differently but we don't know anything about it. we gotta wait I'm afraid.
They are different but I dont think BB is the standard. If he was theyd know how he is pulling this more than 1 df thing. Which Imu woulda passed onto the gorosei like all other Intel.
Since it seems unknown it must be new and a mystery theyre not privy too.
That is an interesting theory. And it would be less because of DFs...but there seems to be an indication that ancient life on the planet had some level of genetic manipulation. Even after the void century we can see it picking up some steam again. It would be interesting if the Davy Clan did have some type of Kraken genetics.
We're about to figure out if my theory is true
Tatch never ate the fruit. Where he stabbed him makes no difference.
we don't know whether or not I think. If he didn't eat it, BB could've asked him to give it to him. if he asked him, a few panels of dialogue wouldn't have hurt. If Thatch ate it, panels would've probavly spoiled
I don’t know if there is proper official source for it but tatchs wiki article says BB killed him for the fruit and that no eating it inmediatly was what caused the chance to kill him and steal it.
What if what Chopper is doing is partially awakening?
If he has a human point, and a “giant” point, and whatever the hell kung fu point is, he can change himself physiologically into different “species” while remaining the same.
What if his fruit is more so related to species and his awakening is turning domi reversi’d people back into their natural “species”
Human human fruit has the ability to turn back Domi Reversi.
This is why Blackbeard was going to the drum kingdom, he knew!
He tries to find a counter against the thing that killed his father.
would he know what killed his father? Also I figure he was just recruiting a doctor maybe?
It make sense. So, Nika fruit is Human-Human as well. Luffy could probably do the same.
I never considered an octopus. When people talk about Blackbeard they normally relate the "3" to Cerberus, but lowkey three hearts could relate to the Kraken
Gunkimu's comment about dividing the world makes me think Loki is about to get reversid
loki getting domi reversied would be so bad
Why? It would make sense for Imu to try and turn the strongest giant over to his side
no like what would happen
Oh, myb I misunderstood
It does seem like Blackbeard's hunt for specific Devil Fruits is something he has put alot of research into and he must have known about Imu's powers from a very early stage. I wonder if Boa's Devil fruit has some very specific interraction which would affect the Gorosei somehow. I wonder where BB learnt all of this knowledge, it could be a memento left behind by Rocks D Xebec, like a book or something left behind maybe even all the way back from Davy D Jones.
as in misery and everything getting annihilate
Also I think domi reversi can be beaten by just...knocking them over. The narrator said it was like they became like pieces on a go board so I can see just flipping them over be an option. That or surrounding them is enough to change them back bc of how Go works
Reposting my Usopp Ragnir theory here
And I am betting Loki gets domi reversi'd because
-
We gotta get Luffy to struggle against someone this arc
-
It would bring Loki's character arc front and center as he has to struggle to resist his feelings of being cursed and rejected by everyone he loved
This theory is great, but I don't think Blackbeard had such deep knowledge of the world government back then.
If the Domireverse truly occurs while the person is in their home country, then it's very possible that Loki, in his Domireverse, could take advantage of the situation to fight our forces, gather the Holy Knights, and return to the Holy Land And additionally, perhaps Ragnir could go to one of our crew members, specifically Usopp, the weakest one. If Ragnir stays with Usopp after he uses it, it would be a great power-up for him, and we could say that Elbaf season would become more of Usopp's season.
i dont get why all the people are still saying loki's getting domid when in this chapter is revealed that he breaths lightning and directly at luffy as well. is oda really writing enel 2.0 for funesies?i dont think so
Many of Loki's conditions for the Domireverse are met, plus it's too early for the crew to have this many one-on-one fights with Imu right now. My guess is that there will be 1-2 episodes of fights, and at the most critical moment of the fight, Imu will turn Loki into the Domireverse and escape with her allies, leaving the crew to deal with Loki.
my thinking is usopp gets reversi'd actually, and usopp would have to overcome it by killing himself to prevent getting in luffy's way
feel like it'd make sense, since initially usopp would be thrilled like "oh i finally feel powerful, now i have strength", but then he realizes what it costs, and would have to overcome his fear of death by killing himself (losing the powerup as well). since we know domi doesn't kill you, and that you can fight back against it to a degree, i think the setup is there at least
obv luffy would struggle to actually hurt usopp too since hes a crew member, and imu would take advantage somehow by using him as a shield, so there'd be some sort of narrative tension and struggle for luffy. kinda like the bellamy fight on dressrosa ig?
This prediction might come true
Even though I heard about chopper being forest god fruit before I wrote this so not my theory
theory: chopper fruit is still the hito hito no mi, but we just dont know its true power. Which is it can restore anyones humanity.
@celest depot No joke ‘theories’ allowed in here.
It’s not a joke😡
If this was truly Blackbeard’s motive for entering Drum Kingdom, then how would Blackbeard have gotten any information that the human fruit was lingering there? It was already eaten several years ago at this point. It seems fruitless to scout out a human fruit that’s already been eaten anyway. It’s not like your average human fruit user would really be.. making themselves known.
Anyway, the one fruit that we know Blackbeard did search decades for didn’t seem to turn up with any leads. Given how long of his life it took, and Blackbeard’s reaction when Thatch actually ended up finding it, much to his surprise. I just find it hard to believe he had such an easier time tracking down the island of the human fruit in comparison to that, for unexplainable reasons.
If this was truly Blackbeard’s goal, then shouldn’t Dalton or someone reminisced about that when Blackbeard was actually at Drum Kingdom? He should have been repeatedly shouting “Show me the human fruit user or I’ll destroy this island” type thing. Seems like a huge detail and motive for him to have glossed over
Nah but fr I do think Blackbeard isn’t gonna steal Imu’s fruit so easily and there’s gonna be some twist, involving Dragon.
Agreed.
Im sorry but... "stone" fruit?
I think something's weird about Chopper being able to turn back the domi'd giant with a simple attack. The manga panel shows the domi shadow getting detached. And I can't help but think that Chopper's Monster Point drug, which also activates Sulong Form, has something to do with it.
I was thinking the sam thing, maybe his drug has some sort of cleansing ability towards that dark power. Again, Nami mentioned having learnt “dark magic” and, didn’t chopper learn some sort of dark recipes or medicine?
at the end of the chapter Usopp is passed out and Rattataskar / ragnir just heard an incredible speech UWR ( Usopp Wields Ragnir) stocks have never been higher
About how/why chopper slapped the devil outta them lol
He is the forest god. He has the same shape of road “sun god” and when he slaps the giant the devil comes out and flips back to normal.
And the second world tells “the forest god tamed the demons”.
His fruit was looked for by Blackbeard on Drum and he didn’t find it because it was eaten by an animal.
nvm maybe it’s too far fetched but maybe he has a doctor can “purify” because of the human human fruit?
Breaking the Rule of "Hate": Domi Reversi appears to require a psychological conflict where the victim is controlled through despair or forced to commit acts against their nature, often resisting pure rage. Chopper, being a compassionate doctor, likely attacked with the intention of healing or saving the giant, rather than killing it, which may have countered the evil nature of the possession…
Which would kind of make sense but still..
ORRRR it was the first time a DF user had direct contact with domi reversi & it has something to do w other devil fruit users?
Maybe this is chopper?
marco only said that because he couldn't believe that blackbeard was able to eat 2 devil fruits. and the no sleep thing. that was just buggy saying it i mean at that time blackbeard was probably just didnt wanna let his guard down around rogers crew. they were trying to kill each other days before that. so buggys statement about him not sleeping for 3 days is not really proof that he doesnt sleep. luffy once said that he heard about people from a snowy country who doesnt sleep at all. and for sure a lot more character can stay awake for 3 days lol.
his mom would know because for sure rocks told his wife.
but ussop is a sniper. him weilding a hammer dont make sense. unless ragnir can transform to any weapon.
Do u guys think this could b chopper? Since many mistake him as a raccoon or some?
I am also starting to think that buggy and “chopper” have the same blue nose…
thats a wolf or could be a samurai who had yamatos fruit
Hm I c…so maybe that’s Yamato?
At this point you are just discarding stuff stated as facts in the manga because you would rather not have them used in a theory you don’t like.
how is that evidence? marco commenting about blackbeard being different because he ate 2 devil fruits. everyone would say the same thing if they see someone having 2 devil fruits. 2 not sleeping for 3 days is not evidence that e doesnt sleep at all. so how are all those facts that he doesnt slep and have 3 souls in his body when thats not confirmed yet?
also if he doesnt sleep at all for sure some of the whitebeard crew would notice it
The manga told us his doctor says he has an odd body, odd enough to consider he might have been able to eat two fruits because of it. That’s a fact. The manga also has a scene to tell us he doesn’t sleep. Or at least that he can stay asleep abnormally long. And another scene were Luffy talks about a rumor about people that don’t sleep that someone told him in a bar (most likely shanks told him). Those are facts.
bro his doctor didnt tell him he could ate 2 devil fruit where did you get this from? and stating that it was shanks who told him why not just say shanks once told him that there were people who doesnt sleep i mean everyone in the strawhats crew knew how hhe idolize shanks;.
You lack basic reading comprehension don’t you?
so his doctor telling him he had an odd body made him think he can ate 2 devil fruits. what comprehension did i miss? u can't back up ur claim now so you resort to insulting lmao typical toxic fan
still doesnt make it a fact that he doesnt sleep lmao. ur arguing he doesnt sleep with that sentence?
I said his doctor said in the manga not that the doctor told him directly. You also said I stated shanks told him, I didn’t , I said it’s a possibility.
lunarian have an odd body. same with the skypiean body. even the bucanners. but you suggested that maybe it was shanks just to justify ur reasoning about bb not sleeping because shanks knew bb. and again. if he really doesnt sleep why is no one in the whitebeard crew even mention it?
What the hell man, this is about the other point, about the oddity in his body allowing two fruits. This can’t be serious, I refuse to believe you aren’t trolling. You know there is a scene where Buggy claims BB doesn’t sleep and another were Luffy mentions the rumor I don’t think I need to show you those panels.
again im arguing that 3 days is not proof he doesnt sleep because not one in the whitebeard crew said anything about it. and we know people who doesnt sleep for days. giants can stay awake for weeks. even akainu and kuzan fought for 3 days without sleeping. having an odd body or rnot. not sleeping for 3 days is not evidence that he doesnt sleep at all.
And I told you, you are just taking a statement about a character in the manga and saying “nah it can’t be true”. Also, giants awake for weeks? Where is that from?, show me proof please. And you don’t know if kuzan and akainu had sleep pauses
i might ahve remember it wrong about the giants. but i know i remember broggy saying that he fought dorry sometimes for days until they get tired. and why would kuzan and akainu just have a nap break while fighting lol. come on bro. all these ur mentioning are all head canon to make ur theory about bb not sleeping and having multiple souls a fact.
BB sleeping is a theory. Him not sleeping is what is presented presented as fact in the manga. Marco said his odd body might be what allows him to have two fruits. It not having anything to do with the body would be strange. I’m going to stop answering because you are just ignoring facts and misreading stuff.
Also, I don’t even think he has multiple souls wth are you talking about.
marco said might meaning he too was just theorizing thats not a fact. and buggys statement about him is not proof because everyyone would have notice espeicalily the whitebeard crew. if thats how ur mind works then i guess buggy is one of the strongest because people in one piece talks about how fearsome and strong he is equal to whitebeard lmao. i think ur the one who needs to up ur comprehension skill wihle reading one piece.
lol now u deny this. you could have deny it when i mention it earlier. but u didnt. lol good save.
Reading exercise: find me saying he has multiple souls.
u dont have to say it. because the whole time that was one of the 2 things i was talking about and you disagreeing about what i said about those two means that maybe you believe the opposite.
Seriously, read above, when you joined I was arguing against the souls theory because I think it’s multiple hearts. You were so wrong on some basic facts stuff that arguing about anything else made no sense.
if you were against it why did you even reply to what i said? u dont make sense at all.
Again this is a problem with your reading comprehension. If you ever thought I was with the souls theory, you read something wrong and you can check for yourself reading above and my posts before I started talking with you. I don’t need to argue about what can be demonstrated by just reading my previous conversations here. Also I’m just going to leave you with these screenshots from the wiki and manga to show you what normal reading comprehension concludes from the panels we are discussing.
again what buggy said here is not proof thats why i used luffys statement earlier if you also got comprehension that luffy heard that there are people in the snowy island who doesnt sleep. which still a rumor its not proven yet. and about you not saying anything about souls. you could have mention that when you replied to that comment i did earlier but you didnt. so how would i know you also dont belive in 3 souls?
and ttheh snowy country that was probably drum island and we know people there sleep.
Man, if you think Oda dropped twice rumours about people who don’t sleep in one piece just for it to be fake info with no reason to be there, I don’t know what to tell you. You only wrote souls once before and it was in a reply full of weird takes and mistakes, I adressed the basic facts the whole discussion wasn’t about souls.
didnt oda also wrote buggy being the fearsome pirate who was equal to whitebeard? does that mean buggy is actually super strong? see what i did there.
Are you telling me you can’t distinguish between dialogue that is supposed to be facts and basic info for the reader and characters having obvious wrong impressions the readers knows are wrong from the context of the manga?
how is rumor basic info lmao. come on bro haha. you base ur evidence on what the people in one piece said and i gave you an example that people in one piece also said that buggy is this and that.
rumors is not a fact.
ill give you another example. they said rocks was this evil dude from the past but now we know he is not and garp being the hero which we found out he actualy wasnt becaues he wasnt saving celestials then. until we have confirmation from oda or from the manga. everything you said about him not sleeping is still a theory.
You don’t need to take it as he 100% doesn’t sleep because it’s a rumor. But the manga is telling you he either doesn’t sleep or there is something odd enough about him that makes people think he doesn’t sleep. That’s what you should be taking from reading those panels. Yet you insist it’s probably nothing. I see you abandoned the odd body point as you must have realized it’s a fact.
i agree about him having an odd body cause itts not a first in one piece. but saying that him doesntt need sleep as fact is the one i disagree. buggy was the only one who mention that becaues buggy was probably observing blackbeard the whole time because he did fight blackbeard with shanks. the odd body i agree to it since the beginning because i even mention the lunarian bucanners and the skypien with wings.
i read a theory online a long time ago that yami yami no mi the nika fruit and imus fruit are probably related.. where imu can give other people devil fruits while the yami yami can steal devil fruit then nikas being able to do everything as long as he can imagine he can do it. the yami yami hidden properties is probably stealing devil fruits powers, like the nika fruit having rubber properties. this is but a theory ofcourse.
im pretty sure the yami yami is probably related to the moon as the opposite of our luffy's ideals. the constant depiction of the sun(btw im rewatching dressrossa and it might be a huge coincidence but the SOL on the toy hat might be soldier but also means sun in portuguese and latin) and how it brings life and supposedly makes new fruits grow in the adam tree makes me think that yami yami is the exact opposite as it is derived from dark. so far we see blackbeard can pull with darkness. it might just be an allusion to the black hole techinque and void, but you know what else pulls the tides of the sea? the moon. also lunarians(race based on the moon) and enels dream of going to the moon way back in skypea(which was when oda didnt plan to make the series so long) so the sun/moon depiction will always be there. im betting its blackbeard but it could also be imu
