could the gorosei be using physical labor to power the ancient weapon that raises the sea level until Vegapunk developed the mother flame? slower but consistent output compared to mother flame
Like some giant hand crank to slowly build up enough energy to refill the battery of the weapon? That could explain the slave powered traveltors in the holy bland. Seems kind of excessive to have such an inefficient travel device
Plus the underground space there, feels like there is something more to it. Like a hangar for the ancient weapon. As it was inferred that the weapon was located in the holy land based on the selection of the lulusia kingdom being a target due to its proximity
theory
back in the void century, joyboy enslaved the celestial dragons and when luffy was born, the world government wanted him dead immediatley after the knowledge of him using the nika fruit came to be
@cyan cargo is right about what I was trying to say.
I am saying the sea level rise that VP is aware of came later on. I am saying the first thing done to the sea level was to lower it for the sake of creating more usable land for people to move to. If the ruling power controll the limited resources/land, creating more land and resources by exposing more land is a way to not only free slaves but also give them somewhere to live.
One other thing to note: We saw a few different hints regarding Fishmen cities previously. During both the Jimbe and Hachi cover stories, they travel through areas that have architecture similar to FMI. Additionally, both Wadatsumi and San Juan wolf have walked around areas that are clearly much shallower than the bottom of the ocean. These areas were away from a shoreline but also not the actual bottom of the ocean. All of these things are why I had previously posted theories about the world's sea level being variable.
Yup pretty much but i also think thats just a small part of it
hi
So after the latest chapter I think the whole intention of making the sea levels rise becomes obvious, imo. The coalition of kingdoms fighting against Joy Boy knew the couldn't compete head to head with just DF against DF. So they use DF weakness (sea water) against them by raising the sea level of the entire world, thus easily defeating any DF users that get caught up in it. Then after the fall out they establish the WG and try to get a monopoly on DFs while also outlawing pirates so another rebellion doesn't happen again. Which seems to have worked for 900+ years until Luffy showed up. No matter how strong the DF, all you need is some sea water or sea stone and its over.
Joy boy lost against IMU but his last words were you'll be seeing D again. As he had Vivis greatx20 grandma secretly paw pawed all the poneglyphs over the world. As the WG took control of the world the giants, wano, and others closed off their borders as humans went ot Fishman island and started capturing mermaids for slaves. Their society forgot all about joyboy as everyone were busy with the social conflicts that were happening in each respective kingdom.

You got it boss
One last battle between pirate and marines/ world goverment. with every single pirate we've ever seen. (am i cooking?)
"on your left" ah battle
I'm not sure if anyone has already proposed this theory, but I'll share it: I believe that Monkey D. Dragon's Devil Fruit will be the Mythical Zoan of Quetzalcoatl. Let me explain. Quetzalcoatl means 'feathered serpent,' and he is an Aztec god who is somewhat like a dragon. he's the god of rain and storms (I'm not entirely sure about this, but I do know that he can control rain, storms, winds, etc.).
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/kBev8hYcVj Is this sbs information accurate
Holy shit this is huge
I looked up on Google if Garp was dead or not and it says Aokiji froze him but didn’t kill him, so my theory is that Blackbeard (Aokiji’s captain now) is gonna tell Aokiji to unfreeze him, then he’s going to try and get Luffy to come rescue Garp… of course Luffy is gonna go rescue his grandpa and that’s how the Blackbeard pirates and Strawhats war is going to start, then maybe… because Hachinosu is the island Blackbeard is trying to affiliate with the World Government and counting everything that’s going on with the 5 old guys and Luffy at Egghead, Blackbeard and Imu might allie against Shanks and Luffy (which Oda foreshadowed are going to meet after Egghead) and that’s how the final war is going to start.
Its been brought up a few times
If thats true him vs Mars would be a cool matchup
I think Luffy's dream is WG and Pirates to get along.
EinteinPunk already nuke world with fact about WG kill biliion people using weapon, how Imu shut all people in the world ? The answer iis using the weapon again
@abstract barn not the place for memes, please use #manga

Ben beckmann beat him first
Then he got destroyed by shanks.
He's lucky if Lucky Roo doesn't kill him next time.
But kidd pirates is at the Jail right now ☠️
hey new to this channel. been looking into the lore of one piece and its obv got alot of Buddhist inspo. im wondering if the sun god 'nika' is based off the Buddhist goddess 'Ekajati'.
the clouds around the body remind me of gear 5. also how its portrayed with flames all around i cant help but notice the similarities with aces flame fruit. i wonder if thats connected at all. anyways just wanted to share :)
116 will be crazy
i have a feeling imu might end up taking over blackbeard's body
How would he even get to Blackbeard
What if Luffy's dream is to lower the sea levels?
Considering the recent chapter. Maybe that's what's so crazy?
and how would that happen tho cause something like him destroying the red line u can think of like maybe the ancient weapons like nuke it or he like punches really hard or smth but i cant invision what would happen to get rid of tons of sea
Maybe that's why people think it's crazy, because there's no way to do it (as we know it).
Vegapunk said "the world was swallowed by ocean" so that means before that the world was 'one piece' and rayleigh said about the one piece is "the result you find can be different from us" and roger said they were too early because of that they couldnt do what they should do
Roger said to rayleigh "Wanna come with me and turn the world on its head" roger couldnt find the result he want and he couldnt turn the world on its head
Whitebeards last word was " as long as someone finds Roger's treasure, the world will be turned upside-down"
Whitebeards last words was true...
vegapunk said multiple continents, so the pangea = one piece is questionable, however, it's still possible since its called pangea castle, maybe theres some information we dont know
aokiji is usopp's uncle
I have a theory in Hinduism Hanuman once tried to eat the sun because he was hungry and we know luffy is similar to Hanuman. I think there is a high possibility that he will eat the mother flame
Eating the sun. Mhm
It just came to my mind maybe Hinokuzi(the flame scarred man) has something to do with the motherflame.
Maybe he got his flamescars in the process of trying to destroy it with his vortex powers in the past but he failed and that’s how he got his scars.
It’s said that around his black ship are vortexes so I assume it’s either his DF or the ship.
What speaks against the DF would be that no one except buggy? Had a devilfruit in goldrogers crew.
Since objects can consume DF somehow, my theory is that the black ship has the vortex powers and that it's none other than the Oro Jackson helmed by old Scopper Gaban. I like the idea that he and the ship may have gotten a bit too close to the mother flame in early experiments and left with some scars
u think 116 will be IMU face reveal?
Nah
I think the one piece is a map of the mega continent that existed before and the reason the Roger pirates laughed were because it was a map of land that didn’t exist
This channel is for long in-depth theories, preferably with in-story evidence/reasoning. Otherwise, manga or manga-serious are better places for shorter ideas like that.
Why would that even be funny in the first place ?
What if zunesha's legs are longer is because Joyboy stretched him out if so luffy's could also affect other characters
It does but not permanently
Zunesha does look irregular like someone stretched out, if my theory is true it will confirm that luffy can make permanent changes to one's body
I doubt it because zou has been home to the minks for over 1000 years meaning he was already irregular to begin with even before meeting Joyboy
The continent's name is probably "One Peace"
Representing peace among all the different races.
Has Zunisha been growing taller year after year for 800 years? Cuz that adds a whole other layer to his "punishment"
Zunesha is a Naitamie Norida elephant, the species is just like that
Does anyone else think that maybe luffy's DF will work against him since it has a will of its own? It may ironically take his personal freedom away from him for its own will or idea of freedom.
I said I won't write it a second time but here I am. I think I have an idea of what Luffy's dream is. There is a theory that is childish enough (Whitebeard's words about Roger's dream) but having a global party does not really touch me in any way, so I dont think it's true. It may be part of the real dream, a side effect so to say, but not the true dream. When I look at how Oda writes the story and how Vegapunk says he does not know which side was good or bad in this void war, I came up with an idea. Oda tricks the reader into never guessing the dream Luffy has. The reveal will be something that will (or should!) make the readers look in awe just like it did to Oden, Whitebeard, Ace and Sabo. This is only possible if it is something that people cannot believe at the moment it is revealed. Interestingly, I think people who never read One Piece would not be too surprised about the dream at all. It is interesting how a big part of Oda's story is filled with unfairness, cruelty, and prejudice. But all these elements have not been there forever, but things happened in the story that lead to these problems. And the same thing happened to the readers. This was especially obvious during the egghead arc, with this unbelievably sad and angering backstory of Kuma. The readers could not help themselves but hate the gorosei for what they had done. And this was only possible because Oda pictured Kuma as a pure being which was willing to take sacrifices and not concentrate on revenge but on helping his loved ones.
It was stated by Luffy, that after he became the Pirate King he has the chance to realise his dream. Why after becoming Pirate King?
I think the dream of Luffy is about WG and pirates to become friends. Regardless of what has happened or not. We saw it times and times again, that Luffy forgave villians after they showed that they changes. E.g. Bellami, who he called a friend after seeing that he changed.
Now for these two traditionally opposing parties to become friendly, there most probabaly has to be a person on each side which can speak for the whole group. And these persons have to be pure in their hearts and respected by the opposing person. On the pirate side this would be the Luffy as their Pirate King, in case of the Marines it would IMO be Koby as their leader. Koby is a pure as Luffy, willing to save people instead of sacrificing them for the greater good. For Koby, sacrificing himself for others is the greater good. The same with Luffy. Garp called Koby the future of the marines, even though he later stated that all of the young marines are the future, but he specifically mentioned Koby first. Garp ordered Koby to to leave him behind because he knew he would sacrifice himself and Garp knew that Koby is special and must not be sacrificed, for the greater good.
The dream is childish because to the reader it seems impossible, how could there be peace after what happened in the story. We have a clear path in our minds, WG is evil, destroy it and we have peace. But this thinking path is based on feelings of revenge, Luffy never showed anything like that. He should hurt and desperation, but not an urge of revenge.
Destroying the other side was what probably happened in the past, and Joyboy lost. Luffy will be different, I think his dream will make the difference. After this dream is realised, there may be the global party another person talked about.
Sounds pretty dope
This funnily enough ties into what I posted before you. What if luffys will/dream will come into conflict with his fruits will/dream since it is a zoan? I definitely think joyboys aspirations or maybe even having to deal with the same conflict of his own DF is another big reason why he lost.
This is a good point! I also think that BB consumed parts of the previous fruit user, after he gained WBs powers he said a sentence WB said earlier: "Then try to protect it." I think BB ate a fruit under the curtain, it may have turned into a DF once WB died. And eating a DF one inherits parts of the previous user(s). edit: or this characteristic was originally part of the df and both whitebeard and BB gained it by eating it
Very true and interesting. I think blackbeard wants to consume a 3rd devil fruit so just think how schizo that man is gunna be LOL
yea he also seemed schizo when confonting ace and WB. I think towards both Ace and WB there was a personality which appeared goofy and weak, and the other second he turned dark and evil.
I'm not sure. I have the feeling he already has three. Even before the ate the yami yami no mi it was known that his body structure is different
Octopi have three hearts
btw, #manga-serious please
He needs a zoan to have all 3 types.
@fallow bobcat oh should we be talking in there instead?
its probably more convenient, shorter timer
"They" was referring to his crew btw.

So in my opinion joy boy died destroying the mother flame imu was using to power uranus that was destroying the world as they knew, leaving only the 20 kingdoms afloat
according to last chapter kinda makes sence
Good theory
but in the recent chapter the mother flame seems to have similar qualities to joyboy's hair
to me joy boy was the original wielder of the mother flame - mayeb it was his heart or smth idk
then imu took it after killing him
how did it dissapear then. if he had the mother flame aka eternal fire how did it extinguish
wait what are u asking about
I speculate (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that joyboy's grave is in laugh tale, and that his fruit was also there (hence why shanks had it) his crew probably buried him there which then that island took on joyboy's name, laugh tale (laugh = joy) the island sparks joy or some sort probably because his will is the strongest there. I believe this was also the reason why Roger laughed
shanks got it off the cp9 boat tho lmao e_e https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dariGl9QMlk
Oh damn, forgot about that 😬, thanks for the correction tho
i think laugh tale is the moon (or, the real laugh tale anyway)
when roger and crew originally reached laugh tale, im betting that they laughed super hard because the real treasure is on the moon so thats why they couldnt go get it
on the foreshadow of laugh tale u can see its a actual island, and also i think binks sake is the key to get to laugh tale, the song itself tells a story of what to do and then it has a mention to play the drums, binks sake might be the one piece
laugh tale is a real island but the treasure is on the moon is my theory
roger did arrive early so anything is possible
love the binks sake theory cuz
"But if you just hold on, The morning sun will rise" also seems to reference joyboy
also roger had the whole message imprinted on skypiea "I made it here. I will guide this text to the end of the earth"", text would be binks sake lyrics KEK
yee
JoyBoy had idea that all the people in the world can eat as much they, there is no restriction. So, Gol D Roger laugh at the last island. same as luffy did in land of wano. this sort of idea make people laugh. because they struggle so much to go to last island but they get this!IMU ideas in that they should put restriction on people that they cannot take their own will. to take prisoner as slaves,etc......................... who are rich and hold power among the society.using ancient weapons many kingdoms and nations are submerged into the sea./
My theory is Kidd is not dead and will come back super strong. Call it touch of Demaro Black lol. I have only one instance to go with (straw hats).
But it's possible that Oda is using Demaro as a troll, whoever he impersonates comes back big time stronger.
FYI I don't care or support Kidd.
Wouldnt it give shanks more depth of he really dit kill kid tho ?
Kidd isn't dead just basically removed from the race
It will! Just Oda doesn't kill people off that often and specifically not by ones who are good guys team
he lost basically everything but he is alive shanks spared his life in exchange for the poneglyph rubbings
I don’t think so
Didn’t the giants slice Kid’s ship in half after his crew offered their poneglyph rubbings?
imo its probably him wanting everyone to be a pirate
Luffy would never want that
In the end everything is possible. Certain topics have been handled during the course of the manga that made me think it's him wanting pirates to be friends or him to be friends with the WG.
- Luffy and Koby - he knew Koby wanted to be a marine and yet he called him a friend. He even helped him become one. Later he fought against him and still called him a friend.
- Luffy and Smoker - he had to flee from him because he was not strong enough and yet he still saved him and told him that he liked him.
- Bellami bet his friends, stole their gold and he made fun of all the things luffy loved - adventure and dreams. And yet he still acknowledged that Bellami changed and called him a friend.
- Mr.3 nearly killed his crew members and influenced the heroic fight of the elbaf giants in the sneakiest of way, and in the end he was his ally.
- same with buggy, he damaged his treasure, wounded his nakama and in the end they were allies and there was no more bad blood.
- Mr.2 enemies first, best friends later
- Law - a competitor and easily being tricked into friendship
- Nico Robin - enemy-> nakama
- luffy becoming friends with fishmen, this even overruled the law not to donate money to humans, with everybody being relieved that it happened.
there are surely more examples, these are the ones that I could come up with in a few minutes.
The one piece is joyboys ship
oh i forgot to add "Stability", "Security', "Resources" w/e like things that civilization needs to be able to survive...
ooh and annihilating Ohara is deff a crime against humanity
I got a theory hear me out so :
Luffy gear 5 pose hair was white like the color of the moon but he is a sun god so he will eat the mother flame and become the real sun god and his hair will be yellow like the real sun god and his pose will be infront of the sun instead so there will be another awakening
I figured that Uranus was powered with the technology of the Ancient Kingdom and Imu just went like fuck it and decided to flood the world to drown Joyboy, even if it meant destroying the power source of the weapon.
Also I guess somewhere in the ocean theres like 200 holes lol (edit: oh yeah, like for example under Enies Lobby)
And now that Vegapunk has been able to recreate the power source of the Ancient Kingdom, Uranus can finally be used again.
i think joy boy destroy'd it bcz imu wanted the redline to stay and rest to die and he died destroying it
Also Mother Flame could just be Lunarian flame since Vegapunk studied them too.
So interesting theory, I was watching the anime Mashle: Muscles and Magic ||and someone summons Uranus, god the sky, which possesses infinite space carving magic. He even uses an ability called World Delete which is capable of carving space out of anything it touches||. Made me think about the ancient weapon Uranus and what we've seen Imu do with an untold weapon. What if that's the power of Uranus as well, that it's able to completely delete whatever it touches from existence, hence why we saw that massive hole left behind.
For him being a pirate means freedom so he wants everyone to be a pirate thus making them free. He wanted to be the pirate king because he thinks they are the most free person in the sea so him wishing everyone to be a pirate doesn’t seem surprising
If he wanted EVERYONE to be a pirate, he wouldn't have helped Coby become a Marine.
He saw that Coby’s version of freedom is being a marine
I think that Imu doesn’t wants the world to sink but Wano, because of their involvement in ancient history . I think they don’t want to use the mother flame on Wano because of Pluton. They don’t want to risk destroying it along with the island so want to take it after it gets wiped out. if the theory it can reshape islands is right they might make a new world. Pluton could also have the capability of fighting back which is why pirates wanted it. kurozumi higurashi probably wanted pluton to be used which is why she got involved with Rocks and Kaido. She might have wanted Wano to become an empire.
Then that completely counteracts your theory, luffy would want other people to do their own thing and live their dreams. That does not mean being a pirate
what if Crocodile used to be able to use Haki, but can't anymore because Ivankav transitioned him from female to male, and using haki would undo it. Also explains why he was given warlord status, despite Luffy being able to defeat him in Alabasta.
Why would using haki undo it
I don't think Ivankov's hormone powers work the same as Doc Q's
what if crocodile was a dude but ivankov switched him to fulfill his dream of marrying dragon and then switched back to hide luffy
||the power of Uranus in Mashle is completely unrelated to the real myth||
it this real chat ?
i mean being stuck in marijois vs exploring the whole sea which seems more like luffy
Luffy will turn the Mother Flame into a Boxing Glove
The intense heat will burn Luffy's Hair turning it into an Afro AND THUS AFRO LUFFY RETURN!!!!
Just had a random thought.
Poseidon was Shirahoshi, her animals are the sea kings and her ship is the noah
The human was Momo, his animal is zunesha and Plunton is a ship.
Since they have 3 components, and the only one of the trio without being labelled an ancient weapon is the beasts of that trio set. So would Uranus be a type of beast maybe?
New D clan theory…the original twenty kings coalition was originally apart of the D clan, and initially served under Joyboy…eventually the great war happened and the kings rebelled/won and renamed themselves celestial dragons…D clan members we know of are basically what defectors like Nefetari lily that left over the 800 year period would called themselves…we have some proof of this since Lili sent a letter back Alabasta with the initial D in name…over the next 800 years defectors like Monkey D. and others would leave Mary Geoise to become commoners as well but would pass down the D initial to remember they were once celestial dragons essentially…with that same logic Doflamingo would also be considered Donquixote D Doflamingo now. I wouldn’t be surprised in the future we see Saint monkeys, saint marshalls names in mary geoise…with that being said you may ask why would Imu kill someone like cobra for knowing Lily was a D? because it exposes all the original twenty being D as well which means by royal bloodline logic…cobra, luffy, doffy, any other d clan member(xebec) etc has the right to the empty throne just as much as Imu does. Additional note looking back on doflamingo/corazon, doflamingo oddly acts like a stereotypical d clan member always smiling and laughing, corazon smiled while he died.
Buggy is lily descendent and will be later revealed to be as Nefertari D buggy. Lily was one of the previous users of the bara bara fruit and she used her powers to split apart the 9 rio poneglphs
bit too late to the reply but maybe he can add a condition like immunity or smth. Or he plans to kill them off idk
There will be another awakening but not like that prolly
The theory that Imu as the Umibozu was in the first chapter of one piece shakes me to the very core
Whats the theory
I just watched The Awakening of Ancient Weapons. It felt really cool. Now let's predict the final secret treasure. I firmly believe that it is just a prophecy of liberation, but that prophecy is joyful and belongs to the humor left by Joey Boy 800 years ago. mural
Also Rocks D. Xebek wanted to become king of the world like Imu, seems he knew about Imu also being a D and their shared hisdory... Maybe infighting among the D Clan is way more common (Blackbeard vs Luffy vs Garp) on a global scale
so I think by kicking something, sanji could instantly melt it, then use adhesion to send a blue molten magma tempest kick at someone
That Imu was behind the whirlpool during Luffy's first voyage
I have never seen this brought up before, but I know that there are probably a million plus theories so it probably has happened. Vegapunk said that the battle between the ancient advanced kingdom and the 20 nations was a battle of different ideals. I have seen theories on both ends saying that the Devils fruits came from one side or the other. The ancient kingdom made the advanced weapons or 20 nations created them to fight the advanced kingdom. Could their idealistic conflict just be really stupidly simple? Can it just be that the Ancient Civilization was a kingdom of Science and Knowledge, and the 20 nations rebelled against it as a nation of various religions. The devil fruits came to be from the various religions and mythologies of 20 nations and the D clans are the ones that decided to fight for the ancient civilization instead because of whatever ideals? All the Celestial dragons are Saints. All of the gorosei are named after Gods. They are defended by Gods Knights, and their system of morals that they spread to the populace via their Navy revolves around a system of Justice., which also seems in line with different dogma's. The void century is basically the dark ages of humanity and now the world is trying to re-enlighten itself
what if pluton isnt a island destroyer but an island creater and it created the red line (to divide the world) uranus flooded the world and posieden controls the new world through the sea kings what if joyboy made the world how it is now all to fight the wg and wants the ancient weapons used cause only they bring the opld world back (uranus destroys the red line) pluton builds new land and posieden does sumthin related to noah idk \
redline was already a thing since King's race, "Lunarians" used to live on top of it and was considered as "Gods"
hello guys
akainu could possibly be joyboy
per chance
What if crocodile is luffy’s mom
What if luffy is crocodiles mom
lunarians used pluton to create a habital area on planet for them (needs to be closer to sun or something eleveation wise) since its almost confirmed that lunarians arent native to the one piece world hence the name lunarians
akainu boutta hit a 360 and start burning the government
the panel where someone says "how is an 800 year old war still ongoing" then "no one back from back then is even alive today!!!"
with a picture of imu going ...
almost confirms that imu is an immortal being from the void century, imo
Nah, it has already been confirmed that pluton was built on water 7 during the VC, and is only capable of mass destruction.
The blueprints were handed down from master shipwrights to apprentices as a means to counter if the existing pluton falls into wrong hands. There's a possibility that it can supposedly create terrains given how unnatural redline is or the walls surrounding Wano, but do take it with a grain of salt.
It has long been confirmed though.
tell me where it's been confirmed with almost absolute certainty. thanks
One of the first 20
Imu's existence being a taboo subject
Their odd relationship with Lili, who was also part of the first 20
Them talking as if they were present when talking about Lily's blunder (scattering the poneglyphs)
Sitting on the empty throne
Eternal youth is a thing
yea youre right. forgot how obviously they hinted at it when cobra said one of the first 20 was named mu.
guess this adds to the list!
Ivankov, too
If we are talking about whirlpool, and with reference to the "newest" chapters that is more likely to be caused by the man marked by flames than IMU
Personally, I'm not really subscribed to the whole Umibozu theory but you have to keep an open mind about this in case it's true. Umibōzu are said to appear to sailors on calm seas which quickly turn tumultuous. That whirlpool is the very example.
Any juicy new theories out lately? These last few chapters have to led to many new theories
a device with the ability to create and destroy only ever used for destruction (thats how i see it)
It’s interesting that crocodile who wants to CREATE a utopia, wants pluton
And I respect that, but as of now, it's only confirmed to be a weapon of mass destruction.
i'm gonna say it
the creation of the red line caused the biggest rise in sea water
I don t know if someone already imagine this but :
What if the 3 ancient weapons form a rock, paper, cizor ? Like for Uranus, we saw it floating and attack from above the ocean which make the perfect counter against poseidon as sea king cannot fly. And pluton could be like anti-airplane kinda ship that can counter Uranus in the air but is still a ship floating on the sea, and so can be counter by sea kings and by extension Poseidon ?
That will instaure a certain balance between them.
it defo doesnt seem like natural rock i mean it is literaaly a big line of red rock perfectly positioned on the equator like that cant be natural
ummm no shit this is the theories channel not the confirmed channel wtf u yappin for thanks for likin my theory tho
😂 coolio
look at the map its not actually just a straight line its shaped like a naturally formed mountain ridge the wierd part is that its like the whole planet compressed in from an oval to a sphere or vice versa and the red line is the crust moving to form a ridge idk if oda thought about it like geologically or not
i mean ofc its not perfectly straight but i get what u mean
I don't think that's the case here. If anything, Uranus is aiding pluton with the sea level rising and making it more formidable than it should be imo
This channel is for theories only 🤓
the land wasnt destroyed, but compressed down and that forced the plates beside it to rise forming the red line
We can also debunk theories
after hearing abt pluton for the first time in alabasta its crazy that we know more abt uranus than pluton rn
Green fn?
Yeah but it's implie that all ancient weapons are raising the ocean level. Plus the fact that the ocean rise doesn t affect any ancient weapons when you think about it : Uranus fly, Pluton float, and Poseidon swim
When has it ever been implied that all ancient weapons are able to raise the sea levels?
Didn't vegapunk say that the sea level rising is not natural but human cause? And that the usage of the ancient weapons in the void century made the ancien kingdom sink?
And did we had a narrator comment on the fact that sea level rise of 1 meter right after (probably) Uranus destroy lulusia ?
I mean that was pretty clear for me
Yeah, Uranus only
how would poseidon even raise the sea level to begin with
It's not confirm though, we didn t saw the others at their full potential ...
Also, I'm still confuse on how does the sea level rise .. like in our world it's climate change that melt the North pole ice but how does a island size HOLE make the sea level RISE ? Shouldn't it be the opposite?
How does a hole made by laser made the water rise ?
ig cuz the island wasnt destroyed, but its basically fell off whatever foundation it was on and sunk,
Yeah but we still have a giant hole ... It doesn't make sense ... Also a tiny island in the ocean wouldn't make a whole 1 METER international sea level rising ... it's too much
Remember what vegapunk said. Multiple continents used to exist and they're living on fragments of the continent that once existed... they sunked below the ocean causing the sea levels to rise by 200m. The nuke on Lulusia alone raised the sea levels by 1m.
what i mean is since every island is built on a foundation since their all on mountains, the water probably eroded whatever the islands were built on, meaning it was pushed down and crumbled the foundation in the process. when something sinks it makes the water rise, though i get what u mean i dont understand how it could rise by an entire meter
Yet again 1 meter in the whole globe .. seems a lot for a tiny island .. and what about the hole ?
they do exist im sure, theyre jut 200m below sea level, theres no way theres a weapon strong enough to literally destroy land, even enel couldnt do it the land has to be somewhere since thats what zunesha is walkng on, even zunesha isnt tall enough to walk on the sea floor, but she could walk on continental land
My theory is that whatever the one piece is, it was something the roger crew couldn't have the capabilities of using. Hence why they laughed
The hole thingy has never been explained, not even the one under enies lobby... I would advise not to apply real life logic in a work of fiction and keep it vague.
Uranus creates a crater in the sea and the sea level magically rises due to this.
I was thinking that (now hear me out for a minute) due to Uta being part of the Red Haired Pirates, I would think/hope that she would make an appearance with shanks's crew by the end of the anime. Also due to the fact that she's had a big impact, and the best friend, of and on Luffy, who is the main character. I would hope that Oda didn't put her in a flashback and show us her backstory in the movie just to abandon her afterwards. She is also shank's daughter, so I would think she would be with him and show up again, as a whole person this time. I know she's an idol, but she may take a break from singing to be with her father. And who knows, maybe she'd have warmed up to pirates a bit if she came back
Depends on how much of it is canon. Uta is canon for sure, but entity such as tot musica and the events in the movie are not canon.
Yeah but that just basic physics .. I mean the manga has some goofy physics sometime (reverse mountain) but there some logic behind.
I don t think Oda would put something like that and saying "it's magic, shut up" and in the meantime, having a whole universe with our current world's navigation logic.
It's true that enies lobby might be a old victim of Uranus indeed but we still don't have a explanation on why the sea water rise up..
Or unless some part of redline fall in the ocean due to the earthquake !
But if it was just that vegapunk would have understand it and annonce it ..
I have a crazy theory: the world of one piece is a living thing.. but I don't really have much to put on the table on that I must admit ...
that's a good point, however she is still the confirmed daughter of Shanks, which means she could still show up with him, though the chance is slim
True, but I guess to each their own.
I'll chalk up to the water level rising due to the land mass sinking causing the water to rise up. We were shown land marks underwater last chapter.
Anyone watch Dawn&Dusk theories on YouTube
Just saw a pretty crazy theory that nami is from the past
Red line is created by the world rotation slowing. It could be a thing irl if the world started rotating slower.
Not sure if this was answered but if VP created the motherflame why was it in the drawings on the moon? I guess VP uncovered enough history to make it?
Well we know the Ancient Kingdom had better technology than anything Vegapunk has created. VP said he hasn't been able to replicate the energy source that powers the Ancient Robot
Yeah true so i guess its just not the same thing. Maybe similar
If there's joyboy, is there also melancholy boy, despair boy, emo boy, vexation boy and such?
Every continent was most likely one continent at some point, Pangea castle name aside. If they're sitting on remnants, who's to say that there's not more remnants of countries?
The most logical theories I could come up with is Lulusia became permanent hole like enies lobby. The water that supposed to fill lulusia and surrounding cant fill it due to ancient weapons. Like a putting a bowl in water basket, the water level raise to accommodate foreign pressure that blocks them for flowing
I completely agree that lulusia sinking alone couldnt affect the entire world sea level. That island is wayy too tiny for that

Not a single chance that Oda would do something like this
I watch her all the time
I have a theory that Imu is a male and a kid. He's probably the twin of Joyboy and they both liked Lily. Imu then betrayed Joyboy, that's why he lost. I bet his design is somewhat like based on Santo Nino (Baby Christ), something that looks like Kid Invoker from Dota 2.
Also, there's a reason why Oda designed Sunny to have a power source, which is right now: Cola. Franky will learn how the Mother Flame works and incorporate it to the Sunny, upgrading it and probably turning it into Pluton.
Marie Geoise is a name that got changed. It was Merry Joy 900 years ago. Then we have Joyboy ( the boy from joy ) that is a title like Strawhat luffy.
i hardly doubt this gonna happen, just my opinion
I put my coin on BB getting pluton
Theory that The Five Elder stars and Imu are based off of the pentacle representing the Tetragrammaton. (aka the four letter name of God in the Hebrew Bible. The pentacle itself represents man as a perfected work of God) Every elder in the World Government is named after a planet: Venus (♀) , Mercury (☿) , Mars (♂) , Saturn (♄) , Jupiter (♃)
If you check out some images of the Tetragrammaton pentacle itself online, you'll find these symbols associated with the planets the Five Elders are based on plastered onto specific parts of the pentacle, and ominously a pair of eyes at the top of the star that bear an uncanny (somewhat) resemblance to Imu's eyes or the shape of their eyes.
This revelation and the parallels I noticed with them has me believing that the 5 Elders are literal pieces/parts of Imu that together with them form one divine entity/being with immense power (a huge stretch but it has my imagination running wild)
Let me know what you guys think
I mean, feels more like grekoroman gods if anything. But I wouldn't be surprised because Oda loves mixing things together.
garp died
well... I guess that if he manage to put his hand of some kinda of devil fruit that can cause earthquake, he can manage to break the walls... but would he be able to find so kind of ... OH WAIT A MINUTE !
The walls were already crumbling when big mom and Kaido were defeated.
BB is still a yonko though, and has a former admiral on his side. I think he's packed
i don't doubt its possible considering one of the Seraphim in the anime sliced a whole mountain
kuzan can freeze the waterfalls so the bbp can climb up, augur can teleport them, bb can just demolish the walls, wolf might be able to push them above, there's more than enough ways for bb to get there and yamato/scabbards/inexperienced momo are getting rolled
yeah that is true who knows what might happen
im just curious as to what ends up being Uranus
if ancient weapons can be destroyed by one crew then why does the gorosei are afraid of those weapons?
I think pluton is like a giant canon and the volcano in the middle is the barrel
Kind of like how Japanese used to do fireworks
it would be cool if Uranus was some really busted devil fruit that just had to be sealed away forever due to how op it is
but rlly it could be anything
Time wll tell
With a big canon
Imu being uranus itself?
stategical as they are, when you have characters that can split mountain in 2, they have to be at least durable to be useful
oh yeah that make sense ..
Just thought of something.
What if the eternal flame actually got free and started burning the world and to stop it was to flood the world till it went out. And some people don't want to go back to that old world that was scorched?
I know but its was used during the void century right? What if it got out of control?
So hear me out.
The conflict was by VP point of view, couldn't tell who was good or evil here, so what if the Ancient Weapons were used to purposely flood the planet because the water levels were receding due to the mother flame being used too much? Then the flame got out of control and the world was flooded because of it?
Today my cracked theory is that we have meet two Vegapunks Stellas: it doesn’t sit well with me that when we first meet Vegapunk he can simply vanish like he was a 3d image and for moments not make himself solid but cannot use that to prevent himself from getting killed. I wonder if the Vegapunk that first meet Luffy, Bonney, Chopper and Jimbei is just Vegapunk consciousness that is separated from the main body, already uploaded to the big brain Vegapunk cut from his head. The reason why York could be fooled by Vegapunk (who like she says cannot lie or act) is because the main body Vegapunk was not aware of York betrayal and the one who made plans and the recording was consciousness Vegapunk with the help of Shaka.
Hmmm. So you think there is another Stella out there? Then why did the recording start after VPs death? The only reason I think VP suspected York was because she cut herself off and no new info was coming from her.
I didn't want VP to die either, I mean he kid of has to for the plot to work together if he is revealing the history of the VC.
Stussy told Stella about the traitor and the stolen mother flame. Hence why he knew about it and said it during the broadcast
Oh that's a good point. But why was VP still surprised that York betrayed him?
Maybe he was surprised by whom she betrayed him too. Remember he said that he did not know who received and used the mother flame to power the weapon. Maybe he knew that york betrayed him, but he was so surprised because it was to the WG.
Best new Blackbeard theory.
Blackbeard ate his parents in a rage, is depressive about it, and thats why he has 3 souls and can eat 3 DF
One of the older popular theories was that he was the mythical zoan Cerebus. 3 heads like his flag, guns, and claw. weapon. 3 heads would allow for 2 additional fruits. 1 for each head.
I think that the world government aka 20 ancient families created the Devil Fruits or at least were the ones behind the Devil Fruit's drawback, which is that devil fruit user cant swim, so the users wont have the ability to go under the sea and to discover the ancient kingdoms ruins
Devil fruits are just manifestations of peoples dreams
I like this idea, please take a look at a possible co-inspiration for imu and joyboy. basically, if you watch this 7 minute video, you will see many parallels
What and who is Tezcatlipoca in Aztec mythology?
In this video, We're going to be unveiling the story of Tezcatlipoca in Aztec mythology. He was the soul of the world, the creator of sky and earth, the lord of all things, both powerful and arbitrary. He was one of the major deities of the Aztec pantheon. Delve into the sacrifices and rituals ass...
Yo 💀
How did u even find my thing
its pinned
Or the force that was with Joyboy were turned into Devil fruits along with Joyboy
Imu probably have fruit fruit no mi or orignal power to turn things into fruit and turn those people into devil fruits ^^
Hold up if the World Government got people to fear the ocean bad enough, that fear might have leeched into the dreams that made each devil fruit and that’s what prevents devil fruit users from swimming.
It would make sense for people to fear the ocean because of the sea levels rapidly rising and destroying a lot of people’s homes, countries, and killing a bunch of people too. The world government probably played a major role in this, but we don’t yet know exactly which ancient weapons they controlled and to what extent.
Yo I have a theory that Big News Morgans was on Roger’s crew. 1. He has a ship that avoids the rising sea levels 2. He makes sure all information is truthful and doesn’t fall victim to the Gorosei’s propaganda 3. He stays in hybrid form so people don’t know his true identity. I have a picture that helps this theory but I can’t send it here
He is the egg at rogers crew
I have a theory where the last poneglyph is.
Do anyone think that Sevil Fruits have a Haki block ?
Part 1. Okay here we go. First I want to start with the Man with the burn scars. Call me crazy but I think it actually is Luffy. Yea I know its so obvious but I think thats the point not for our sake but for the crews safety. If you're someone in search of the Last Poneglyph and other enemies around you know that you're searching for it, its to misdirect them into not being suspicious of you! Law may know it and possibly the whole crew knows it EXCEPT for Luffy which is very important. I think since he wouldn't keep his mouth shut about having it could bring consequences to the crew on there travel to acquire the One Piece. There is 1 person on the Crew who knows without a doubt. Franky. We obviously know Luffy has a type of "X marks the spot" on his chest due to Akainu. I think that is one of the hints that its him but obviously he also is physically the key to enter Laughtale and acquire the One Piece because of having the Nika DF. Part 2 is next and it is about how Franky knows where the Last Poneglyph is and how he GOT IT.
Part 2. Franky acquired the last Poneglyph from Kuma in Sabaody from KUMA! Im going to connect some dots. Kuma told Vegapunk before he would fully lose his free will that he wanted to be programmed with a mission. That mission from what we saw was to ONLY go to Sabaody to protect the Thousand Sunny for 2 years but I don't think that was his only mission he accomplished. Remember we knew in the past that Roger and his crew were at FISHMAN ISLAND where the Last Poneglyph for the Straw Hats to acquire was present but has now mysteriously disappeared in their time. I believe since Rayleigh who was on Sabaody and also had talked with Kuma on two different occasions had a plan. Rayleigh may have came up with this idea upon having a conversation talking with Kuma. Rayleigh has a past relationship with the Fishman and with Kuma they both went to acquire the last poneglyph on Fishman Island. Even if they refused Kuma was apart of the Government so there would be nothing they could do about stopping him . Plus a Rayleigh/Kuma duo would be God tier to try to stop. They brought the Poneglyph to the Thousand Sunny and Kuma not only Protected the Sunny but also the Poneglyph. Wheres the Proof? Chapter 603 page 15 after when Kuma leaves the Sunny for Franky there is a huge block shaped object next to Franky that looks like it is not only covered but is also by a dialouge panel with multiple dots. This angle of the the scene is not in the anime and I believe that is also why Oda covered it with the bubble dialogue. Where would Franky hide it then in the Sunny? Franky makes rooms 5 and 6 on the Sunny before Fishman Arc but I believe he made the room 6 for where the Poneglyph is stored. From my knowledge we have never seen what is in dock room 6 on the Thousand Sunny.
Now for Blackbeard and his crews "clues". Have you ever played telephone? Sometimes the real messages gets mixed in with truths. Their clues could be all truths tbh. Okay whats their statments. 1. He very well may have a fruit power. 2. He is allegedly on a ship that is pitch black and if anyone sails near it they end up in giant whirlpools. 3. He may be working for the government and we know the government is not known for having ANGELS said by Shiryu (very important word for a clue as well). The one similar ship that we associate with whirlpools/black color as a clue to what people have thought would be Dragon which is more then likely CORRECT BUT! Dragon has his army which we know Kuma is apart of and also he is affiliated with the World Government due to what has happned to him in the past. Also, Shiryu wordplay on government angels? Has Kuma who has his religious/biblical aspects to him and has been a guardian angel for the SH and Bonney not been seen as an angel but is also apart of the government? Also, in BB notice how Kuzan said he had burn scars which is the same person Luffy got his scars Akainu. This was so supposed to be a joke but ironically this was a clue as well. Thats the clues. We have a mixed message of him acquiring it BUT he gave it to the man with Burn Scars AKA Monkey D. Luffy who does not know it yet. Franky and maybe some other people like a Robin and Law may know as we know there reactions when Kid brings up the Man with Burn Scars. I wish I could copy the manga pictures for you guys but I don't know how to do it. If somone could help with that, that would be awesome. Please let me know what you guys think.
Why wait to announce they have it then after wano and sail straight to laughtale Since that would be the last one they needed ? Good theory but doesn’t make sense for luffy to have it. I’m gonna guess it’s on elbaf
There could be some reasons for it. I have some ideas. Like I said luffy shouldn't know because he would probably be too much of a loud mouth about it. If the word spread about it. BB crew, the WG, and other pirates would try to to take them out. More then likely on the sea and since it's in the sunny could just fall down there and be lost. Also I think if this has been some organized plan that some people know about hiding this from Luffy they probably want to acquire the ancient weapons first and be fully prepared before revealing to Luffy because I think once he acquires the One Piece that's when the battle begins. There's probably more reasons but the timing is important of when to go to Laughtale. Plus Luffy wants to adventure. Once there at the end point of when the Poneglyph should be revealed probably around where Roger and them ended up Lodestar, thats when they'll let him know. Just some ideas.
It's for the safety of the crew, timing, and not letting other pirates especially BB to get it. At least that's how I'd do it if we're just gunna bring this on our ship. You also have to take into account that this is the grand line. You have unexpected things that get in your way like weather, monsters, and other people. Plus if they have to travel far to it they have to make stops for food/water. Egghead they were stopped by what they encountered.
do you guys think Blackbeard's obsession with finding the darkness fruit... means it might be the nika nika equivalent in darkness?
It doesn't make sense.
Man with the burn scars is said to be sailing on an all-black ship indefinitely.
It's also said, the whirlpools form around the ship enveloping any ships trying to come near it.
Luffy will be in possession of 4 road poneglyphs if it was true and could voyage to Laughtale by now.
There are several characters with burn scars.
He isn't the "key" to enter Laughtale like you suggested... proof? Roger pirates.
Alright, onto part 2...
not if everything sinks
He's the key to acquire the One Piece because of his DF and what his path has been. I also suggest you read my response I said to someone who also had the same statement on "why wouldn't he just go get the one piece if he has all 4." And please look into it carefully on what I said about what the BB crew said. They're absolutely clues imo but not in the way of how people have seen it.
The head canon is real...
I went and check your "proof". That doesn't even remotely look like a ponegylph. Size inconsistency.
It looks like a poneglyph being covered and you have to take into account of the size of Franky.
It's fine if you disagree. But there's some pretty cool connections that I'm glad I noticed.
The disease Ussops mom got and the disease Nami got are the same
My theory is that Yassop somehow contracted an Elbaf virus, like Nami did when she met Dorry and Brogy, and somehow gave it to Ussop's mom. The reason Yassop doesnt wanna meet Ussop is cause hes worried that he'll pass the virus onto him as well.
Dragon has no correlation to whirlpools/ black color...
So every burn scars is directly from Akainu in this series now? Better call Saul, Sabo etc.
There was no Franky's reaction when Kidd mentioned his name unless you were merely suggesting it. Robin will be part of the reaction given her background.
It took me a while to reply because I went and checked every poneglyphs side by side comparison to characters in the manga panels, and I'm sorry but the size inconsistency is there. Nice try though.
@last estuary look up what dragons ship color is. And also people have said his DF is a wind fruit. He may use wind to cause whirlpools. Thats why people thought those specific clues were about him being burn scar but I'm saying it's actually connected to kuma.
also... did Akainu know that they were still studying the very research he was so hellbent on destroying?
i don't think he's very happy rn 😂
@last estuary I edited a post from way earlier because I noticed as well Kuzan made mention of having burn scar but this was more so a joke dialogue when BB and his crew were giving the clues on the Burn scar man. But that's the ironic part the burn scar man did get the burn scars the same way Kuzan did and that's Luffy. Thats my point is those clues make these connections between Luffy and Kuma.
Can't argue with the ship's colour BUT when was the last time we saw the ship? Yeah, when it was parked outside of their HQ at Baltigo.
What did BB pirates said about the burn scars? He's sailing on an all-black ship "indefinitely".
His df is just an assumption until it has been confirmed. I can see that him possessing a wind fruit or something that can alter weather.
@last estuary do you have the chapter where it says "indefinitely"? Wanted to look it up
And also, the Rayleigh argument doesn't make sense. There is no basis. He wants to gatekeep the last road poneglyph from others? What was even the point of Roger announcing the golden age? They're pirates. Everything is right for the taking. Rayleigh does seem to acknowledge Luffy, but he's ought to do in his own way than literally being handed down to him. That's the kind of man Luffy is... and Rayleigh knows that (Sabaody).
If anything, Rayleigh is frustrated by Vegapunk's message because it's the young-uns time to seek the "thrill" of the journey.
@last estuary I found the chapter on the BB crew no one says "indefinitely". 1081
Nah, I made that up

But joke aside, the man is only said to be founded in the ship and in correlation to the word, "sailing" implying he's sailing indefinitely. Nothing more.
To answer your Rayleigh statement. I think thats apart of why it's hidden from Luffy as well. So it doesn't put an end to him wanting to go on an adventure. You have to take into account how the heck did this man with burn scars just up and take the Poneglyph from the fish? My answer was 1. Someone affiliated with the world government like what the BB crew said and 2. Rayleigh who was literally there on the island where that poneglyph used to be. My guess is either they discussed this plan with the Fishman which funnily enough the ship that has it is on its way back to that area not long after. And the Fishman couldn't refuse anyway because they had the WG warlord Kuma asking for it.
@last estuary even if they had this "last" poneglyph they at the time didn't have all of them actually till after Wano. Then even if they did have all them the distance to Laugh Tale after Wano is still probably very far. You still have to stop at places for food and deal with the things of the grandline. But let's say the crew or some people of the crew were actually heading to the one piece without Luffy knowing. Maybe that is there plan but it was interfered by running into the sea robots of Egghead which we've seen why that's been stalled to get to the One Piece right now lol.
I'm gunna take that "sailing" indefinitely with a atom size grain of salt LOL. but anyways hopefully I can find some other people who'd want to talk about this as well. I think it's a really good theory. I'm off to bed later @last estuary
And there lies a problem...
The poneglyphs were situated in the forest miles away from the palace and weren't directly under their supervision.
They didn't know the significance of the road poneglyphs.
Anyone could have stolen it and got away with it.
You have no evidence pertaining whatever you're saying.
Yea you're right Neptune definitely didn't know about their significance when he met Roger then trying find the one piece. Or when he knew about Joyboy and the Ancient Weapon relating to the mermaid princess of the void century. Oh wait... he did???? Sorry can't do this later
You say this, but the evidence is there. It's the way people interpret it. Oda could have implied anything pertaining to the burn scars clue, but the fact that he made a clear distinction of the man can be found on a pitch black ship and sailing is proof alone.
I am talking about the "Road ponegylphs"
I rest my case. Maybe next time, present evidence to back your bogus claim.
I like this theory about Uranus.
Considering that it's possible that the moon people or so could've used it to even land on the OP world
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/2pwGmPkYhY
Anyone else think it’s possible that the ancient kingdoms name starts with the letter D?
sea/ocean backwards is umi.
imu maybe got water devil fruit
Perhaps duo fruits (cuz of shadow tail) now that it is proven that one can possess 2 fruits.
Proven by blackbeard. Maybe thats why imu had blackbeards poster
You believe her to be Lilli?
It's possible(?) but the thing about that is how and why can Teach consume 2 devil fruit.
From that, maybe we can draw some conclusions on if Imu can also use 2 df or if he's a different case altogether
most likely yes
well the portrait most likely
not the skeleton
Holy, which episode was this
Ok longshot but o think that vegapunks fruit is like nika fruit because the brain doesn’t have a limit to its capacity so what would be the point of the fruit?
opinions on viv-strawhat reunion soon 😳
maybe he looked at the photo just because this woman looks like his mom and she doesn't look like Lilli
his fruit isn't very complicated since it only gives him the ability to memorize everything with the side effect of making his brain gets bigger and that made him the smartest man on earth so its not as strong and mysterious as Nika ( Joyboy )'s fruit
there is another thing which is why is imu and the five elders immortal ?
The most logical explanation is that they took immortality from Law's fruit ( Ope Ope no mi ) or maybe they are just immortals
But another questions is why they all have Mythical "Zoan" fruits ? why not logia or paramicia ?
And does Imu have a fruit or he just uses haki ?
Teatch consuming 2 fruits is still a mystery, maybe eating 2 won't kill you and its just a lie or he is just built different.
And how does he take the fruits after killing someone instantly?
Yall think brook related to aokiji?
I like that theory
no
Once luffy gets the one piece he will destroy it either immediately or after it gets used in the final war against imu, blackbeard shanks, buggy or whoever else they throw in at the end.
Luffy has been shown as someone to liberate and free the islands that he visits from evil dictators and pirates, now what is the primary thing driving them all? The one piece. No one piece less pirates, less fighting, less problems. It also makes sense as to why the crew had very different reactions to luffys mysterious true goal
The last poneglyph is definitely with one of old Roger's crew mate not Rayleigh, a different one since we see the last poneglyph in Oden flashback which was in fishmen island
They must have taken it and sailed in a black ship indefinitely waiting for Joy boy to come and get it
Mostly I think it's gaban, since there is no mention of him in the story yet
I was re-watching an anime today and it gave me an idea. In ||Kanata no Astra|| (putting that in spoilers just in case as it is part of the twist of the show) there is this idea that after a great war that destroyed most of humanity, humans decided in order to have peace, they would do away with everything that could cause division like countries, and religions and weapons and created a world government and supposedly unified the people. But to do that they also had to lie to everyone and rewrite history and for decades people believed an alternate history of the world. This alternate history was fiercely enforced. And eventually no one knew what happened to the world only a century prior. All in the name of peace.
Watching this now with OP in mind. I wonder if something like this was the idea behind the WG's founding and that Imu in essence is trying to maintain peace by a forced, false means? That the war destroyed so many lives and he couldn't let that happen again so he created the WG to combat this. However, as that too began to eventually fail, he decided to take complete control and therefore force peace by any means possible. Just a theory but it really resounded with me when I was watching that series again.
yo this got me thinking lilly is imus mother and somehow related to uranus...
on that video it explains the earth god after being split into two ascended the heavens...where is Vivi located right now? yeah she is the only character flying in the sky
can anyone just confirm, did Vivi flee before or after lulusias incident?
Mother flame...Lilly being Imu's mother... Imu asking the elders to retrieve Vivi...
What if Vivi is able to activate uranus just like shirahoshi calls the sea kings...
Im calling it now
Laugh Tale
Is an island with a giant drain designed to drain the entire world’s 200 meters of sea water which can only be unplugged by Joyboy himself.
(kind of like how a knock-up stream brings water down before being pushed up)
Seeing it caused the Roger pirates to burst out laughing and named the island Laugh Tale 🙂
I don't know if I have heard this, but maybe Imu is the "man marked by flames". Frequently I see people go to akainu or the the flame-flame fruit, but this could actually relate to the mother flame. Besides just Uranus, the mother flame can still maybe be used to power up the sun god. Additionally, Imu is likely the sea devil and has a water based fruit, this connects the whirlpool detail. Lastly, an all black ship may relate to the frequently shown as Black, IMU.
Interesting, his insane demeanor might be justified by being burned alive, plus imagine being a burn victim and being immortal so having to deal with the pain, I think it fits the theme...
So to add on, is a giant cork plug the one piece? Also I think this drain likely would be at the peak of reverse mountain. It's basically a giant x and x marks the spot. So said drain could be underwater at the peak of reverse mountain.
Vegapunk should show everyone Sabo's call to Dragon from Lulusia before it was cut off
so no one will think the Roger pirates used an ancient weapon
and all eyes will start looking to the world government
is the Noah being used to survive the flood basically confirmed atp? we know there was a flood and noah's ark existing makes it pretty clear it was used for that, while also heavily implying the WG is trying to play God by flooding the earth
@frozen gale this channel is meant for longer theories with evidence, not to post random small ideas, those fit more into the other channels
Ok i am now convinced that the WG wiped out the Lunarians because they were the ones safe guarding Uranos the same way Wano is safe guarding Pluton. The WG found out and went to got it they wiped out the Lunarians because of their relationship with JoyBoy. They fucked up!!!! The same way Enel powered his ark is the same way Uranus was powered: using the flame of a Lunarian or multiple Lunarians!!! When they realized what had happened only King was left. That is why Kaido finds king in been experimented on: the WG gave the order to replicate the Lunarian flames. They may even told Vegapunk to replicate them under the pretense of making a better industry but in reality they need a way to fuel Uranus. When Vegapunk prepared the mother flame, York stoled a piece for the WG to test Uranus.
What if, on Gaimon’s island there was a seventh chest which rolled away into the sea a long time ago and the Roger Pirates found it, then putting it at Laughtale. That’s why they were laughing, they thought it was the best prank ever.
Valid or nah?
She does look a lot like that woman
That ship was 100s years after lili from an entirely different part of the world it’s just an example of same face
Are there any theories on what crocodiles secret is that ivankov knows about? (Aside from the popular one that he was a woman). What is he hiding?
I know I'm the first person to coin this term because I coined it only once, Imu's theme uses the strings of subjugation opposite the drums of liberation
He’s my favorite character and I want to know more about him
Idk , but his name isn’t revealed and he’s definitely mysterious. But if we use what we have, he’s looking for pluton, and he also wants to find the one piece ( from Film: Stampede ). Not only that, but he has a past with Ivankov, which is a revolutionary
Its possible that the gorosei are demons, as their forms resemble yokai and that a summoning circle was used as a teleport.
They appear as human to the public but probably aren't. Another thing is that they look down on everyone else as well, believing humanity to be that of bugs which leads me to believe that they aren't just spiteful people but are an entirely different race of a living entity.
But it's still possible that everyone could be human, including Imu. Just people with ungodly power and demonic appearances(?).
Zoan fruits can transform the user mentally too, it seems. That they become more like the fruit or ability that they consumed than who they once were. So it's possible that the gorosei are DF users but I always believe them to be genuine demons in their own right under the rulership of Imu.
Imu is either an immortal human because of the ope ope no mi's last user or is something else entirely.
As in, what we see now is Imu's actual appearance and not a foreshadowing. He could very well be a demon too.
I assumed that if the elders have haki of that power that Imu is also the same on that part if he wasn't a fruit user.
The fruit teleports somewhere nearby or somewhere a little further after the death of a df user, I think.
If he knew the location of it after whitebeard's death, it would've been easy to obtain. If not him, someone in his crew could've flagged it down for him. Perfect time to do so in the chaos.
You're right though: just because it's taboo doesn't mean that it can't happen altogether. There doesn't seem to be side effects to it as you've said.
damn gonna censor me tho straight up? what is this? nazi germany?
well as a helper, can you please enlighten me on where better to talk about this? it's a theory of mine
I mean if you wanna establish it as a theory, at least add some context what made you come to that idea with some evidence, otherwise these short ideas are more suited for #manga-serious

may i please explain at least?
Luffy has nika df right? so far, other than Shank's reaction to Luffy swallowing the DF, nobody really gave it much significance.
Nika came out of nowhere, aside from the hints in drum island, etc.
Vegapunk has stated that there is still so much he does not know about. What if that includes the darkness DF? What if it has it's own kind of godlike form or awakening? BB seems to be that guy too
hello
Lili's blunder was taking the old mother flame (mostly speculation)
So, while we know that Lili had something to do with the poneglyphs, I think its possible her actual "blunder" was more tied to Uranus' old power source. If she was close to Imu (which seems likely due to the portrait), I could see her stealing the old power source for Uranus while Imu had his back turned. That may be why she even headed back to Alabasta to begin with; she was fleeing. Maybe it even had one charge left (unbeknownst to Imu) and he used it to take Lili out, thus destroying the mother flame in the process
Cus remember: the old fuel source mustve been similar to the mother flame (as in it was housed in the same kind of tank as the modern Mother Flame), since York was able to steal a "part of" it. So the tank is still there in Mary geoise, someone just took the flame, which I believe was Lili.
no idea tbh, if i find it ill let u know

Speculation:
Now that we know that the world is flooding, let's think about waterways.
Suppose instead that Laugh Tale is not the end of One Piece, it's actually the beginning. Reverse Mountains flow is backwards, and Laboon is ramming the mountain to get back to his crew in the natural migratory stream that should be where reverse mountain is. If the stream was correct, all 4 seas would have inflow from the grandline, you wouldn't have such odd weird weather patterns trying to traverse the grand line.
i just thought of something, and sorry if this theory already exists:
joyboys crew name - dawn pirates
every member of the crew adapting the dawn (D) into their names
every current person with a D in their name is a descendant of one of the origial crew members of joyboy, explaining why there are different races with a D in their name
i guess the word dawn can be replaced here with whatever D word, and crew could be expanded to just an ally of joyboy, but i am pretty sure D will just turn out to be dawn or don (since the TCG kinda hints towards this)
Where can I find Imu revealed face? I forgot where I saw it
It hasn't been revealed yet.
Theory: Luffy won't find the one piece

i mean im not saying you are joking, but at least elaborate
Nah I'm joking
imu is the queen and mihawk is the king, both have the same eyes because they were both victims of the ope ope no mi treatment, imu wanted power over the world but mihawk didnt so they split apart, the will of D the D means dracule, also he is always bored because he lived for so long and he also pardon luffy in sabatie because he didnt want to kill his relative 🗿
this is a joke theory, right?
kinda yes and kinda not, i started from the believe that imu and mihawk are somewhat related (i genuinely believe it, they do have really similar strange eyes) and developed from there
Where is the ope ope no mi connection though regarding the eyes?
Does that mean characters with same eyes like Zunesha and Hakuba are related to them?
We have seen Mihawk before and he seems to be aging normally.
Unless Imu actually IS a man, using a male voice would be a placeholder until their sex is revealed. The pronoun "he" tends to be used as a default in language and I feel like that would be the case for the future voice actor for Imu. In other anime when a character's sex is unknown, they write them to use masculine pronouns and refer to the character as he.
I'm all aboard for Imu to be female. I don't think Imu flooded the world cause he couldn't get no bitches. Lily, Joyboy, Imu, etc had a falling out as Nakama, as friends, which would fit with some of the themes in One Piece. Betrayal of friends, splitting the pirate group up, difference of ideals. Oda won't do a romance for this. That's lame.
did the devil fruit exist only after the void century?, my theory is that devil fruits are characteristics of the D people of the past, and that only people with the D bloodline are able to manifest it into the next lvl like luffy did :3
Sun God Nika wasn’t a real person. Or an actual being. He was just a made up story and people turned it into a religion. The beliefs and the prayers, created the fruit
Not confirmed, just my theory.
This channel is for long in-depth theories, maybe you should have posted this in manga serious instead
I don't believe in the love triangle theory either, given that VP mentioned that the ancient kingdom and the countries that formed the WG had 2 different ideologies.
Perhaps they all were friends but that'd mean that the union of the 20 or rather 19 countries had to have occured after breaking things off and its reason.
Perhaps it could've been over those two ideals that they all split up. To add onto your theory, what if pushing the goals of their ideals could've cause it (joyboy telling a comrade about the creation of the ancient weapons and only a piece of the truth: the fact that there's a secret weapon instead of what it's used for. It can stir madness.)
I thought that they weren't friends for some reason and that it's possible that the conflict was on power distribution or rule/control.
To have the countries govern themselves or to form a single monarch; king or queen of the world.
It's possible that there were slaves then too, which could've explained why the Nika fruit even manifested.
Maybe the WG countries used Joyboy's idea of self ruling or a democracy to hide what they really wanted : a single person to rule and own everything.
...i just thought about something...
If Nika was a giant's fable, wouldn't that mean that the giants were enslaved somehow?
If so, it's possible that they could've had a hand in building what is now the present and possibly the remnants of ancient kingdom.
I think that the moon people or birkins are involved, because what's to say that people didn't revere them as Gods and they didn't take advantage of it? It's possible that they could've ruled with an iron fist, and sought to conquer the resourceful planet.
Probably looked down on everything and everyone else upon first getting there, as it's not guaranteed that they made alliances with the people right away.
Well, that and the skypeians. And that possibly, genetic modification could've been used for the skypeians or DNA splicing other than reproduction.
Maybe it's only a grey area situation due to the kingdom not being so "great" and benevolent due to racial differences too and how it's likely that they had a patrilineal or matrilineal lineage that didn't share the same the beliefs of joyboy.
Sure, joyboy came from there but not one belief defined everyone as a collective under that place. Maybe the higher ups were divided on rulership.
Maybe it's similar to how things are now with power corrupting the WG or for the WG to have been corrupted from the start.
After all, joyboy took to the sea and it's possible that he could've left out of curiosity ( to insinuate that maybe the ancient kingdom instead reflected a more scientific and less brutal rule) or to escape a similar situation that's currently ongoing in the present with pirates etc.
Regardless, the kingdom had a blind spot. Maybe they were too trusting with that power and entrusting such to allied countries and leaders could've led them to their demise.
But it's also possible that the countries were oppressed too. That everyone probably was.
No, because Joyboy exist.
Yeah, slavery existed even back then. One of the examples would be the Tontattas and the Donquixote family.
Right, thank you!
that would mean that doffy is a D aswell tho...
Guys will luffy actually be king?
Well based on Imu’s actions and possessions, like the giant straw hat and portrait of lili, it’s obvious the King of the World has attachments to these two people from the Void Century. But whether or not they are positive or negative is unknown. But it’s indicative that Imu is nostalgic for these people.
shanks can see years into the future....
Based on what ?

The World Government is not a mere governing body, but a secret society that has been manipulating world events for centuries to maintain their control over the world and suppress the truth about the Void Century.
Evidence:
- The World Government's extreme secrecy and lack of transparency.
- Their willingness to go to great lengths to suppress information and silence those who threaten their authority.
- The mysterious nature of the "Imperial Fleet" and the "Admiral's Meeting".
- The World Government's connection to the ancient civilization and the Void Century.
Speculation:
- The World Government is a remnant of the ancient civilization, tasked with protecting the secrets of the Void Century.
- They have been manipulating world events to prevent the truth about the Void Century from being revealed, as it would undermine their power and control.
- The World Government is using the Marines and the Shichibukai system to maintain their control over the world and suppress any potential threats.
- The true purpose of the World Government is to maintain the balance of the world, but their methods are morally questionable and prioritize their own interests over the greater good.
Implications:
- The World Government's actions are not just driven by a desire for power, but by a belief that they are protecting the world from the truth.
- The true nature of the World Government's role in the One Piece world is far more complex and nuanced than initially thought.
- The World Government's connection to the ancient civilizations and the Void Century holds many secrets waiting to be uncovered.
This theory adds a new layer of depth to the One Piece world, exploring the connections between power, control, and the secrets of the past. It also raises questions about the morality of the World Government's actions and the true cost of their control over the world.
More evidence is Ohara and the disappearance of God valley. Also them trying to stop the broadcast.
I speculated that , with VP mentioning two ideals, that this was the ideal of the 20 countries or 19 that made the WG.
They couldn't have hailed from the ancient kingdom as it seems that they wish to hide any aspect or thing of it. The will of the D are connected somehow and they(gorosei) hate the D's.
If they were ever connected, they could've been in a short-lived alliance with the kingdom before wishing to overthrow.
Just other speculations. The WG was always as foul, and what makes it even more vile is that the democracy was a front to hide a twisted monarch.
I think that joyboy and the countries' conflict was over control.
Yes, when there is a chance that their secrets about the void century can get out, they try their best to prevent it, even if they have to attack navy soldiers
Yes maybe, but I don't think the person with the Nika fruit would fight over control.
Nika is the embodiment of freedom in the one piece verse.
The only reason I'm not completely looking past this is because of this panel
Theory on Boa's role
.
.
.
Boa Hancock's role in the One Piece narrative is far more significant than initially meets the eye. As the Queen of the Amazon Lily and leader of the Kuja tribe, she possesses a unique combination of physical strength, political savvy, and strategic thinking. Her influence extends beyond her island nation, with connections to the Revolutionary Army and potential ties to other powerful factions in the Grand Line.
As the war between the World Government and the Revolutionary Army approaches, Boa Hancock's position will become increasingly important. She may serve as a mediator between the two sides, leveraging her relationships with key figures like Iva (revs) and Empress Boa Marigold to broker a peace treaty or negotiate a crucial alliance. Alternatively, she may align herself with one side, using her formidable combat skills and Kuja warriors to tip the scales in their favor.
Boa Hancock's past with Fisher Tiger, the legendary pirate who freed the slaves on Fisher Island, will also play a significant role in shaping her actions. Her quest for power and revenge against the World Government, which she holds responsible for Tiger's death, may drive her to seek allies and resources to further her goals. This personal vendetta could lead her down a dangerous path, potentially pitting her against former allies and friends.
Throughout the story, Boa Hancock's character will undergo significant development, with her backstory and motivations revealed in greater detail. This character growth will add depth and nuance to the narrative, exploring themes of power, revenge, redemption, and the complexities of leadership. As her relationships with other characters evolve, particularly with Luffy and the Revolutionary Army, the stakes will rise, and the consequences of her actions will become clear. Ultimately, Boa Hancock's role in the One Piece world will be revealed as a pivotal one, shaping the course of the war and the fate of the Grand Line.
Any theory 'bout why Roger is laughing ?
Is this really a theory though? We’ve known this for a while now. They are preventing the exploration of the ponegliffs and the discovery of the true history of the world. They’ve killed, kept secrets, etc to do so
what's the imperial fleet? just the marines or
Luffys gear 6 will be named "luffying time" and when luffy uses it he starts luffying all over the place

The main thing I wanted to point out was maybe them being part of an organisation that swore to protect the history

Is there a theory about the mother of Luffy?🤔
Fight against control, I meant.
No, and I don't think she would be of any importance to the plot.
You're right, a contradiction or a huge lie or scam.
But i heard that there is a secret on it
What secret? Elaborate?
Dont Caire
Oda says that she has not a role in the story
🤨
Longnose tribe ?
Usopp and Blackbeard 😄
what if luffy mother race is the next power up to luffy having a descendant of a strong race
I’m just going to address something that I don’t think is talked about enough.
If laugh tale is the last island in the grand line, would that mean it is behind the reverse mountain, and can’t marine ships sail over the calm belt because of their sea prism stone hulls? What about kizaru, he is the speed of light? Elbaf being the last island before taugh tale yet no giant has found it yet?
So how? I think most likely joyboy, nika or roger set up a curse/spell only allowing those who have obtained true freedom or have eaten the hito hito no mi model nika.
Well, if the theories about Joyboy being a giant are true, then my best guess on laugh tales location is a small island somewhere close to Elbaf
If it was an island close to elbaf it would have been discovered 10x over. I don’t think it’s accessible through normal means
You know how there's tons of symbolism with the moon and sun, what if laugh tale is in a remote location and can only be accessed when the moon is in a certain stage and the tide goes lower
Lodestar is the last island
That's why I said that Imu isn't inherently evil, but is maybe trying to prevent the rise of someone who would instill a reign of terror upon the world , but using the wrong way to do it, and eventually reaching the same point they were originally trying to prevent by using ancient weapon to quell future uprising.
It's possible the ancient kingdom was ruled by a powerful king that in the end wanted to rule the world through sheer force, as opposed to people opposing him for supposed freedom. The heir of this king is blackbeard, and the clash of both idea is what made the war.
I thought this too.
That the roles reversed, but....
Something I just remembered was how one of the gorosei thought of humanity as bugs or thought less of anyone but themselves.
If they didn't grow corrupt (piggybacking off your belief), it's possible that the gorosei truly thought that from the beginning. That sort of thing could reflect on Im
Joyboy is a fishman that looks like Arlong
Joyboy is 90% a giant, i don't see the holder of the strawhat in marejois being anyone other than joyboy. Laugh tale can be anywhere it's just a centre point of the 4 poneglyphs, from the way things are going in the manga it's more possible for it to be underwater
Yeah. What about that gigantic straw hat that was shown with Imu after Doflamingo was defeated
That's the strawhat I'm talking about, it can be no one other than joyboy's to be significant. We can't judge the silhouette with the size of a person
Is it possible that the great bridge connects two great underwater cities
that's not correct at all
that's not the logic, it's not " sama " its the " saint " word in japanese, if Imu was a booba chick they would have used " saintess"
My belief is that Imu is a little boy - not human, perhaps - who lived too long trapped in a child body and grew a bitter resentment toward everyone, particularly lily
I initially thought that Imu was a kid too and that they're hella resentful.
Lilli for double crossing, yeah.

I was watching a video from LunaPienArt, who also shares a channel with Dawn & Dusk and saw this person's comment.
TLDR: Do you think this theory is plausible to have happened and that it makes sense? Despite the rudeness, of course.
It's not the first time that I've seen someone compare the concept of the motherflame and the ancient kingdoms with Greek myths. That the WG shares a similar role with keeping the people in the dark and the ancient kingdom being similar to Prometheus by having the mother flame among other inventions as a beacon of hope from ignorance and confusion and advancemet of humanity. What I didn't expect was for them to not cross reference any other type of classical or cultural literature.
Usually, people compare the recent events or even gear 5 with Sun Wonkong or old myths.
I've even thought that the weapons were inspired from the Greek gods and their respective planets.
It seems plausible with the information we have but said information can change any moment and it’s too specific to adapt to big changes; doesn’t explain why the gorosei sometimes bother sparing humans like bonney either
Call me crazy now but I think IMU is JOYBOY and the only way he found to put the kingdoms to peace was to rule as a single king
There’s gonna be an explanation on how he extracted the nika fruit but I think he keeps his old hat 🧢 in a cell to remind himself of his past identity
So joyboy never returned?
a bit of a insano theory, but what if usopp's mom had saffire scale?
something ive always wondered is if shanks crew know he's a cestestial dragon, and this got me thinking. what if the entire crew, or at least the main members (beckman, yasopp, and maybe luckyrou) are also celestial dragons? from what we've seen, usopp's mom was bed bound and always in doors, and we haven't seen most of her body. what if, in the process of conceiving usopp she caught Safire scale, and yasopp left out of guilt
Wrong channel, ava
I highly agree.
They could care less for humanity, unless the person is somehow useful(?) and even then, it's a risk
nuh uh
Saturn Made The "Sapphire Disease" Bonney Has
A Ushi-Oni (Saturn's Mythical-Zoan Fruit) has the ability to create an incurable disease in mass. This also links in with the name, Saturn. A gem that is typically formed on Saturn is sapphire.
Saturn most likely made the disease to torture Kuma into watching his adopted child, Bonney die a slow fate, due to the crimes Kuma committed as a revolutionary
Definitely the wrong channel
We all know that probably the weakest straw hat will die
Nah Sogeking will live 🔥
Wait maybe vivi
not really
bonney's disease was passed down from her mother
so its unlikely that saturn made bonney sick just to make kuma, a man who is destined to lose his humanity, suffer
saturn just took advantage of the situation plus saturn really hates the buccaneer race which kuma is part of
what about buccaneer race

did yall see the theory that Lily had the Ope-Ope fruit and did the surgery on Imu
No but i do want to read it
Everyone is so convinced that Imu had the Ope Ope No Mi surgery lol
Yeah that could be an interesting one. There’s no reason why it wouldn’t be true, other than Imu possibly using some other devil fruit/other source of magic.
Imu's source of immortality is most likely the Eve Tree which reaches up to Mariegeoise, another reason Imu don't like to leave that place.
There is a good theory that Oden's story is a foreshadow of Joyboy's story.
did anyone see my theory on One piece Connections to Aztec 5 Suns myth?
He and his crew saw a golden statue made from the ancient kingdom. The ancient kingdom used it after seeing into the future to depict what Luffy would create to destroy the Red Line. "The Super Massive Docking Robot 6 Billion."
not true. saturn states his surprise that bonney caught the disease
There was a panel with Ivankov suggesting Imu being affected by the ope ope no mi, actually.
nope
!animk
It’s more than likely imu was made immortal by the youth surgery. It’s the only explanation so far and Oda is clearly hinting at it with ivankovs dialouge. The only reason that the ability exists in my opinion is so that imus existence is justified, and not so law will ever use it
I was actually responding to someone that mentioned it, as to why Imu is still alive.
I'm aware
Now that the news that the world in one piece will eventually be flooded, and most of the islands will be submerged it makes sense for the purpose of Noah and the role the sea kings will play to tow the ship of promise to fulfill its role at the anointed time. Though i makes me wonder about that last scene when the sea kings rejoice that their queen, Shirahoshi, will meet the other sovereign. And how their reunion will be celebrated by the whales. It’s been bugging me of how the whales are suppose to play a role. But whale motifs are played heavily through the arcs of one piece from laboon at the start of the grand line, to the pod of island whales at the new world to the whale statue at zou. So much so that fans suspect one piece or laugh tale is in a whale. However going back to the flooding of the world, what if the whales or the island whales are meant to play a bigger role in preventing the doomsday? Island whales are suppose to be native to the west blue and yet they are found in the new world, which should be impossible given in order to cross into that sea they would have to cross into the calm belt the nesting place of the sea kings. From the sea kings conversations and the sea kings seemingly allowing the whales to cross their territory it’s apparent that the two species are contemporaries with a similar goal. For the sea kings it’s the mobilization of the Noah which is obviously needed to save as many people from the flood. Though realistically would a single giant ship be enough to save the population of the world? That makes me have a theory that maybe the island whales are suppose to act as a means to carry people to safety via their backs as they do have enough space inside and outside being the size of islands. Or they could do what crocus did, why swallowing islands and keeping them safe until the flood stops.
Could it be that Joy Boy wasn't actually his name or a simple title? But rather it refers to the Boy OF Joy, as in he was from a place called Joy or something like that
I have a wild theory after reading yours. What if in the Laugh Tale, the Roger Pirates came to know something about the Island Whales? I mean, what Crocus did, maybe he had taken the inspiration from there? The name of that species of the whale itself indicate that they are somewhat related to Islands, either due to their massive size... Or the fact that they were used to safeguard islands within them earlier with advanced technology. I can't imagine living inside a whale for more than half an hour maybe? Coz there wouldn't be any oxygen and also the stomach acid would make it difficult. So, it can be possible that these whales were used to safeguard some important islands with technology beyond the current one piece world. (correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't a girl in one one piece movie living inside a whale?).
My thoughts exactly on Crocus taking inspiration from what he learned at Laugh Tale and applying it to laboon. The whales seem to be a key factor to the dawning of the world. Im curious as to why a species native to the west blue would travel to the new world….so close to the red line, unless they are waiting for something. Think about it the ancient weapons need to come into play, possible to take down the red line, world is going to flood, and Noah being a only ship can’t possible save all the islands in the world. The only creatures large and numerous enough that can lead such an exodus would be the sea kings and island whales. What if the island whales are trying to reach the other seas of the east and south to play out their roles.
My theory is they saw through joyboy's memories and got to know the full backstory, Joyboy somehow made sure the war was not over and trolled the WG. He made them wait for 800 years which made them laugh
I remember that panel now. It came into play in Dressrosa because Doflamingo wanted to body swap with Imu.
However, remember, the user dies by performing that surgery.
So, with Nefertari Lily not returning to Alabasta, was her "punishment" to eat the fruit/perform the surgery?
That’s a viable angle for her. Another is that she ate the paw paw fruit to spread the ponygplyhs. But someone surely had to give him the surgery, and her not returning to alabasta is suspect
Doubtful the user would need to be a skilled doctor or medical practitioner. Don’t see lili as that.
Do guys think Ju Peter maybe a traitor and help Luffy and company?
Is Arabasta a micro/macro of the void century? As I’ve watched one piece and learned that Oda intended to end at Arabasta. Which leads me to believe even more is how much Lili “D” Nefertari and Vivi have been so closely tied to Imu. With the panel of Luffy, Blackbeard, and Shirahoshi bounty posters being cut up or stabbed and on the contrary holding a picture of Vivi undamaged as well as the large portrait of Lili “D” Nefertari. Micro Arabasta, A war of miscommunication with a shadow figure trying to control the country and is known as a hero, Crocodile, Macro (Imu). We had 5 groups fighting there: Luffys crew, Baroques works, Marines, Rebel army, and marines. The way marines play into it is Smoker, a relentless man we come to know and is beaten by Ace, Luffy's brother, Macro (The iron giant?). Now, the way the Nefertari’s play into this theory. At first, Vivi was known as the enemy to luffy, (joy boy). Macro-> Lili “D” Nefertari helped found the World government, the not known enemy of the world, micro (Baroques works). Then later helps luffy. To be more clear that Lili “D” Nefertari turned was not placing a weapon around the empty throne and scattering the poneglyphs The Poneglyphs must be protected. Bear the flag of the dawn against [...]-ing world. — Nefertari D. Lili.
This being the only known record of her to anyone, but imu or Goresai maybe. This also places her as the earliest known “D” member. This being the same exact scenario with Vivi betraying her Kingdom by joining up with pirates being portrayed as bad. As the story continues the war is “won”. This to me is the ending with luffy is the current joy boy is the key to winning the void century war and how itll play out. As how many different parties are present and help him and win together officially allowing the rightful rulers back to the throne. Some facts about Arabasta, The Sandora river splits the island evenly in half, macro (The red line?) Weird micro macro, since One goes to the sky while one goes below the ground since its a river. The symbol of Arabasta Kingdom is a sun consisting of a circle with 8 curved drop shapes also shown on a soldier's shield. Macro, We later learn luffy is referred to as Sun God Nika by Dorry and Broggy. This theory can be even more detailed, but I'm too silly to make it that crazy.
I am yet to read the entire thing but, I want to correct something in the first few lines. Oda did not imply that he intended to end One Piece at Arabasta. His implication was that he wanted the entire story of One Piece to last 5 years which he later decided not to.
The One Piece manga chapters for the Arabasta Arc, which includes chapters 155–217, were released between 2000 and 2002. Eiichiro Oda began serialization in the manga anthology magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump on July 22, 1997. This meeting that 5 year quota
The above poster is still correct. That still does not imply that oda meant for one piece to end at arabasta. That is where arabasta fell after 5 years of production. His original plan for the entire manga at first was probably closer to what we see in the one piece live action in that the pacing of the series was probably much much faster in his head then how it came out on paper.
regardless the 5 year timeline shows that we would be somewhere close for him to end around that time. For the arc to be placed closer to the date of a predestined ending and rough timeline would show its importance. For you saying that the live action was more correct I would ask for you to do a little digging on how much he was involved and what him being involved actually meant as I faced a different result.
Regardless of the timeline part of it. The theory still works due to obvious relation of Imu and Lili “D” Nefertari.
he came up with the arc after creating Vivi as a Baroque Work Agent, he created her and thought she looked like a princess which lead to Alabasta
"Pretty sure he mentioned that the Yonko were part of the 5 year plan but not the warlords. He somehow thought East blue would take a year, then Grand Line and New World would be 2 years each or something like that, despite already planning for 10 crewmates. It never made any sense."
“I got the plan of Alabasta Kingdom arc awhile before. and then what will it be like if this girl would be a princess of Alabasta” This shows regardless of how he made Vivi his idea of the arc was already made and the introduction of Lili “D” Nefertari due to cobra and the missing Vivi leads me to believe even though the character was more gag definitely could be extracted for more which led med to.
Warlords are what prolonged the story yes, same with the Worst Generation
Also apparently the warlords of the sea were not originally part of the story, and then the story became extended when he introduced them
I found around the same translation from a different source and this doesn’t really change the fact of my previous statement that it stated he already had made plans for the arc awhile before. This makes sense due to how much he thinks into the future for the op story. But the introduction of a character dated as the earliest “D” member being related in recent events has definitely made her character more important!!! If you want the translations I have I’m happily to give them
the arc existed as a name sure, but he started thinking about it after coming up with Vivi
He created an entire arc off of one character and had no direction with his narrative is pretty hard to believe maybe my translations I have found are wrong but it seems more realistic.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/erP2KLx7M9 native speaker translating it does say “sorry for poor translations” but to add that much detail would be pretty crazy through translation
I think the use of Vivi was more a smoother transition more than anything to introduce baroques works and make it easier to introduce other characters, ex: Crocodile. To be fair this is all speculation and only Oda would know for sure how he used and intends to use her.
but tbh no matter what, i dont think he already had planned for her to play the role she might be playing in the future as the descendant of Lili but its not impossible
Maybe, but they both have the same setup and Oda could have just used earlier details to further push the story. This theory definitely has its flaws, but with the introduction of Lili, Vivi just isn’t the likely candidate to why the theory doesn’t work.
and the way Lili’s character ended missing and how Vivi is currently missing. Also the way how Oda has parallels to early arcs in knew ones it works here.
Imu has the snake snake fruit model Medusa. Instead of boas ability, Imu can turn people who fear her to stone among other abilities. the stone straw hat is because joy boys allies turned on him and sided with imu and that scared him
Theory for the upcoming 1117 (extreme headcannon)
Chapter might start with the straw hats on their way to the ship and Zoro getting lost. Mars is heading to the fabriostratum to find the broadcast snail. He tries to sneak and fly above the robot but gets caught and then throwed (like Luffy did with Kizaru). Then Valcurie gets towards the robot and the robot grabs him by the horns and throws him as well. The robot source and power might be fire. The same fire that the "Sun God" possessed. So the Gorosei cant heal themselves from the attacks. Meanwhile Vegapunk's record continue. Nusjuro joins the fight versus the robot and cuts his hand... BUT then the hand explodes and damage Nusjuro worser than the other two. Then we see Saturn watching and thinking "What a monster! Since we can't regenerate from its attacks, this is worser than Nika!". In the end we see the robot thinking "Joyboy, Let me protect the spark of hope that this world has right now!"
IMU is joyboy
stupid enough to work
I think IMU is joyboy i think he really won the war against the government and he came to the conclusion that the only way to for all the kingdoms to truly be at peace is if he ruled with a iron fist and rewrote history pretending like he lost when really he changed his identity. I think that giant straw hat is his and he found a way to extact nika nika and now he has a new unrevealed devil fruit
I think ur right
I mean didn’t Vegapunk just say that the void century ended with joy boys death.
That’s my biggest point… vegapunk wasn’t there… joyboy won the war shed his previous identity and rewrote history just as he as constantly been doing during the current series
How many characters in the series can say they’ve seen joyboy? It’s just been characters speaking on his existence not who he actually is
I mean look at the iron giant as a character somehow vegapunk couldn’t power him but the drums of liberation did and that’s literally luffys heart making the sound. Which would probably be the same thing for the previous joyboy. For it to stop would mean his heart stopped.
They recognize the power not the person wielding it….
As why I said there’s gonna be a reason how the previous joyboy shed his devil fruit powers and obtained new powers or non at all
why would joyboy want to sink tho world tho
All to maintain the balance of peace he realized he couldn’t obtain unless he ruled as a single entity behind the scenes rewriting history
I mean this theory is flawed bc only a single joyboy can live at anytime we’ve seen how roger had died before luffy was born
Roger was a nika nika fruit user?
So to be joyboy you need the fruit? Fruits are just the manifestation of wills and roger literally had been parallels with luffy since the beginning. He was just a failed joyboy because he didn’t have the fruit
but also why would joyboy be okay with slavery and trying to wipe out the world? he was a warrior of liberation not a warror for slavery
Joyboy according to the manga was a nika nika fruit user it’s not a title bestowed upon any great pirate because if you take that argument was white beard a failed joyboy? Was big mom a failed joyboy? No joyboy is a mythical figure who fought laughing in the same style as Luffy is with the fruit awakening
No because they didn’t hold the same ideals only character we saw do that was Roger he did laugh while fighting he laughed at his death. Yeah that’s why Roger is a failed candidate.
Let’s go back a few steps. And first of all I want to let you know I respect you for challenging my theory and everything I debate with you is with pure respect. What I want to say now is that joyboy isn’t a title a pirate can inherit it’s a mythical person of history no pirate can be crowned as joyboy.
I think we just have to agree to disagree. Because I believe what Vegapunk said to be true and would make the most sense seeing how any joyboy wouldn’t be ok with slavery
I was under the understanding that Vivi was planned, but Oda was like "oh, what if Ms. Wednesday WAS Vivi"
was it ever revealed or did anyone have theories where the bridge on Tequila Wolf was heading towards?(robins timeskip location)
they said it was being built for 700 years on order by the World Nobles.
I feel like this’ll have big importance later on as to where it’s going and why the nobles ordered this bridge to reach somewhere they maybe can’t get to themselves
Usopp comes from a extinct tripe called "long nose tribe" just like there are long arm tribes, we have seen several characters with long noses in the series
mozu, kiwi and kaku for example, which they all got introduced in water 7/enies lobby arc and in the same arc Sogeking was also introduced and what did sogeking claim to be from?
Sniper Island exactly.
I think this was an island that got erased from history just like lulucia and since usopps lies eventually always become true i believe its gonna be revealed in elbaf arc that usopp is a descenant of an actual long nose tripe legend that looked exactly like sogeking
I was wondering about what vegapunk said about no sides were right nor wrong, could it be that the current celestial dragons are also somehow victims of this?
if some of them didn't know about the void century, maybe they were blinded by imu with luxuries and events like god valley to “deprive” them of their humanity, wills, desires and dreams to be the ultimate puppets over some generations.
It seems like the history is somewhat being erased from the celestial dragons too.
Maybe imu’s plan is to completely brainwash them all in X generations or something.
And thus, there is no right or wrong, its all about imu behind the scenes
usopp is sogeking
What if, the original joy boy also was friend with someone who had law's fruit. Thus they sacrifice themself when joyboy was about to die to make him immortal even though he died and the fruit went away? Just adding to your theory
To be fair how many characters would have lived long enough to have seen him
So what is Imu goal and from what we’ve seen Imu that straw hat don’t look like it could fit on Imu’s head.
If truly Imu is Joyboy, what is the significance of anything that is happening in the world today? Why does Imu hide its identity? Why is Imu evil in the first place, to achieve what? Why does Imu despise what it once represented?
It could be possible but it doesn’t really make sense to me
I’m sure if Imu was Joyboy, it wouldn’t be fine with Slavery and discrimination against the Fishmen. Wasn’t Joyboy friends with Poseidon as well.
also if Imu really won then why would the world government/celestial dragons even exist
Probably they all are fighting for their existence that is why Vega Punk couldn’t side or judged what is right or wrong
Not really a theory, just a clicking moment for something that makes a lot of sense: it's no wonder Kaido thought he was Joyboy when apparently Joyboy wanted to preserve the ancient weapons through time. Kaido's own spin on that was about seizing the ancient weapons and bringing war to the whole world, just as he declared right before the raid.
Any Japanese readers here? I have a question
I see a lot of "... because of bad translations!" in titles on english OP youtube. Or even simple wordplay that cant be translated and carry the same meaning.
what I'm wondering is, is there the flip side for you guys as the Japanese audience? Times where Oda has mislead or hid information using the English language?
what would imu's devil fruit be
LRLL is an isomorphic representation of the world of one piece. The sinking of the world that happened 800 years ago happens on a cycle there
My guess is it's a mythical zoan that turns him into the mythical Japanese sea demon called Umi. Also an interesting fact is that Umi reversed is Imu.
Umibōzu (海坊主, "sea priest") is a giant, black, human-like being and is the figure of a yōkai from Japanese folklore. Other names include Umihōshi (海法師, "sea priest") or Uminyūdō (海入道, "sea priest"). Little is known of the origin of umibōzu but it is a mythical sea-spirit creature and as such has multiple sightings throughout Japan. Normally, umi...
It also demands offerings in a barrel. We see barrels have a significant role in one piece before. Once was when Luffy stole a literal offering to Umibozu before thriller bark, and Luffy himself came out of a barrel at the beginning of the series
Interesting about the barrel being its offering. This gives more credence to Umibozu being something that’s also haunting the Florian triangle after thriller bark (ominous shadows are shown)
Everything-Everything Fruit
I got a guess at what imus fruit is called to. The Oni Oni No Mi model Umi
Roughly in Japanese it translates to "Demon Fruit" which ties into the fact that it was the first devil fruit
And given UmiBozu's power in mythology over the sea, and the fact you have to make a sacrifice to Umibozu, I think Imus power reflects that by the fact that every devil fruit user has to sacrifice the ability to swim in the sea.
Until Imu gets explained more in the inevitable fight with the straw hats, this is my solid theory
I also think it's safe to assume that Imu has awakened their devil fruit
That wouldn’t really make the analogy of the natural wasteland force of the Sea being against the unnatural imaginary force in the Devil Fruits make sense
That's been conjectured a lot, and I don't think so
The yokai Amefurikozo is what Imu's his figure looks like, but he'd also be in-line with Ushi power-wise.
If it were Amefurikozo, then he'd be an immortal child emperor
If you want more info just type Umi in the search. There is like 1800 results 🙂
what are the den den mushi capable of
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm u mgiht be true
Is just a reference for Pinocchio.
I think the ancient power source is water
Speaking of which, if Imu is the Japanese sea demon, as if she hadn't eaten a devil fruit, but is a demon herself, it is entirely possible, because devil fruits 'hate' the water, once she is defeated, the devil fruits users would be fine in the water. I'm wondreing however, if Imu is a devil, why is it that the people who eat the fruits, are called 'devil fruit' users, as known, that in this theory, imu is the devil.
Could be a wg propaganda thing too to deter people from eating them
Alright boys I know what the one piece is and why gol d Roger laughed his ass off.
The one piece is the land mass at the bottom of the ocean and the reason they were laughing their ass of is because the only way to get rid of the water is for the awakened Gomu fruit to drink the entire ocean or atleast the excess water 💀
Nika ate multiple devil fruits, or was known for having multiple powers. we know Nika was able to stretch like Luffy, but i propose he also used darkness powers, and Blackbeard's attack "Liberation" is a major clue.
BB could have known all about the legends before Luffy even set out to sea. and he has been sizing Luffy up since Jaya, after seeing him fighting Bellamy with the same rubber powers Nika was known for.
What if devil fruits seize to exist
Bro said drink 😭
He's just going to piss that shi* right back
Uhh…uhhh… ok maybe Imus power is conveniently going to be a good way for Luffy to get rid of all this water
Gomu Gomu no Pee Cannon it’s a wrap for Imu
he'll just piss on the moon
afaik this doesn't hold true to the actual Kanji of Imu it's way more likely to be inspired by stuff like Buddha and god than anything atm
(Sun) god nika could have had followers( planets): JuPeter Saturn, Mars, V.Nusjuro but they betrayed him. Heres a side note:
Uranus: roman god of heaven.(skypeaia)
Pluton: roman god of hell (under wano)
Poseidon: god the sea ( Fishman island)
The final saga will include major story references to Dune.
Including Dune spoilers: ||luffy being a lisan al gaib figure vs the harkonens or World Government. Taming or having the sand worm of Saint Ju Peter help Luffy.|| Traitor of Gorosei being Ju Peter makes sense too.
Ju Peter is the youngest and probably has much different values than the other Gorosei.
I got the idea that the letter "D" is in the shape of half, so here the One Piece Earth is round, this D is half of the round, which means that half of the one piece earth is conquered by one big kingdom, so this D means an ancient kingdom that conquered half of the face This earth counts power, the other half is 20 kingdoms. so it is logical that during the Void Century there was a big war to get the Ancient Weapon. The current government is afraid that if people with the name D find out, they will take back their old government. What is your opinion?
What if Imu is Joyboy? A really out there theory, but hear me out. What if close to the end of the void century something happens that changes Joyboy and Imu? Perhaps something that would flip there ideals, like they both loved someone, that someone dies, and after recovering from the loss one of them bounces back better than before like Luffy and the other one becomes oppressive and vile like Moria. However it's switched. Realizing this the current user of the op op fruit switches their personalities without informing anyone which is why Joyboy was supposedly defeated. Also perhaps as a way to keep Imus devil fruit power from circulating back into the world and maybe even with the hope that Joyboy would eventually come back to his senses, the same user sacrificed himself to make him immortal. Could be very wrong, but it would make for an interesting twist.
thats interesting theory, if true, it would be the best plot twist ever
If imu is joyboy why is the gum gum still in circulation? Why would he apologize to the Poseidon? Why do any of this. It doesn’t make any sense at all.
maybe he using ope ope no mi, maybe if using ope ope no mi to become immortal, the user will be reset their power i think, thats my theory
Sorry maybe I left something out. What I meant was that maybe Joyboy turned bad, Imu turned good, Op Op fruit user switched their personalities, Joyboy's body with Imu's personality was killed soon after allowing the gum gum fruit to circulate back into the world, the apology to Poseidon happened before these events, and Joyboy would be stuck forever in Imu's body because he was made immortal by Op Op fruit user.
Of course its not a perfect theory. Its just an idea I had after thinking about the differences between Moria and Luffy, what would be a really cool twist, and concidering what little we know about Joyboy and the void century.
I think I’d prefer if imu remained his own being. I feel like this would be more plausible and interesting if we had ZERO idea of what joyboy was or any of his influence but I feel it’s far too late for this. But you never know, so I won’t count it out
Fair enough. Who knows, maybe Oda has a plot twist involving Imu without changing who he is that is just as interesting if not more so. I truly hope so.
Has anyone seen any theories on Imu being the Moon God?
skypeian ancestor comes from moon thats what enel discover in the moon
i hope imu is roger
Imu is Luffys mom and Mihawk is Imu’s brother
What if the One Piece was Joyboy's memories? Joyboy's memories could be an explanation of what happened in the void century. Apart from the void century. Imu has the giant straw hat left by the buccaneer Joyboy. A buccaneer is 2x Kuma's height, which means Kuma is half a buccaneer. In Egghead we see that Kuma's Paw-Paw devil fruit can extract memories, and before Kuma, Nefertari D. Lili was the Paw-Paw user before Kuma. Lili was the one who distributed all poneglyphs. So, in my theory, Nefertari D. Lili extracted Joyboy's memories all in One Piece at the last island, Laugh Tale.
that's been my head cannon for a while, would make it easier for a flash back and the Nefertari D. Lili paw paw fruit thing is pretty much confirmed unless she somehow found some other way to move them instantly
Brooo, ur him
What the… wow 🤯
What an amazing theory
But when was it mentioned that she was the PawPaw fruit user or did I miss something
P
I think One Piece is more referred to the continent that unites the entire world tbh. I don't know how, but I think the name of the treasure is not a coincidence.
I still believe that the One Piece will be a “comic book”, otherwise why would they laugh right. The sun god nika is a fictional character in the one piece lore. The nika comic book could be a representation of the one piece manga we all read too , it brought us the readers joy as well as the roger pirates
cause its underwater
It has been revealed that the D is the enemy of the gods (or wg, can't remember it clearly). Could it be that Vegapunk was supposed to reveal that among one of them is a pretender, pertaining to Blackbeard's ancestor, who really doesn't possess the will of D?
I can see Oda making Blackbeard's bloodline disguised as if they have D on their names, a person who doesn't have the will of D joined JoyBoy's crew and eventually betrayed him. Was This makes Blackbeard carry the will of D on his name without knowing that his bloodline really doesn't have D on their names.
I think this makes sense since Oda-sensei loves parallelism:
An ancestor of the Marshall clan pretended that he has the will of D, joined JoyBoy's pirate crew and eventually betrayed him causing for the ancient kingdom to collapse.
Years after, the descendant of the Marshall clan pretended that he belongs to the "family" that Whitebeard wants to build, joined the crew, betrayed them by killing Thatch, the betrayal caused the downfall of the Whitebeard pirates since it led to the death of Ace and Newgate.
Well. tecnhically Blackbeard is also an enemy of the world government lmao
An enemy of the wg does not mean that he's an ally. I can see Blackbeard as the enemy of an enemy, a guy who has his own selfish ambitions.
What if the one piece is a shiny scroll like in kung fu panda
It has Rogers words saying that for the reader to reach the scroll he would have a tough time struggling and growing stronger
Till they finally reach the one piece they'll have achieved wealth fame and power
If not wealth like luffy dosnt have Roger must have left some treasure
So the journey to reach to the one piece is the one piece
U get Wealth, Fame & Power
is it not confirmed that the one piece is knowledge?
Yeah since thats where the roger pirates learnt the truth
The void century lore. It’s all at laugh tale.
I have a theory. THE ONE PIECEE THE ONE PIECEEE IS REAL
Hasn't Oda or an editor explicitly said the one piece is not the journey and is a physical thing?
My apologies everyone
I wasnt aware 😔
what was vegapunk gona say
Prob that the D are related to joyboy
At the end it cut off when vegapunk said "among you there is mo-" and i think that the cut off was going to say more than just humans/mortals, which could imply they have the blood of the real sun god nika prior to the nika fruits arrival. Or it could be more than humans in the sense of being related to ancient giants. Off topic anyone else hear the theory imu took away devil fruit users ability to swim?
there is a guy named moe in the D clan. he's the strongest
you're basing "mo-" off an english point of view. but the mo sound, も is what vegapunk said. So we can't use english to try to piece together words that start with mo like more or most, etc. like it says in the chapter release here
but also using english grammar, you'd say "among you there are" to refer to a plural if we're going based off your theory that he says "among you there is more than just humans". so in this context "among you there is-" referring to a single individual or a shared trait or goal. so it's either saying "among you there is a certain individual" to some effect or "among you there is a shared fate"
no, because the one piece is a treasure Roger found at laugh tale. There was already a treasure by the time Roger arrived on the island.
its game of GO, the room floor is showing the game board. The D. people have the ability to move anywhere and how ever the choose on the board. Thats why its them who can shake up the world aka (Checkered Fate)
Oda' made it a point to make important things translate well into English. Like Raftel -> Laugh Tale, or Loguetown -> Rogue Town, etc. One of his oneshots, Monsters, is a good example of a word that'd translate well in both Japanese and English. Chopper even uses 'Monster' instead of... yokai? To describe himself, whereas Robin doesn't describe herself as a 'Devil' (In English).
Chopper describing himself as a yokai doesn’t make much sense though especially when monsutaa is commonly used in Japanese. And we still don’t know what the complete sentence is so until we know more information it’s not safe to assume that it’s a direct English translation.
Smoker carrying something behind his bike? Wonder what it is
looks like a giant cube with what may be an X on the side we see
I wonder if the other vegapunks were present when stella was recording this broadcast and heard something about the last part
I'm pretty sure that Shaka was there and another satellite
Yeah, I think I saw Edison there too
But we don't really have confirmation that they were there when stella was talking about the will of D., right?
what u think VP was gonna say?
Among you there is one piece!
i don't know how this would translate over, but disregarding the "mo" part, i think vegapunk's final message may be about dragon possessing the last road poneglyph. we already know that someone with a "burn mark" (its a tattoo but close enough) and a full black ship has it, plus it would tie into the joyboy stuff vegapunk was talking about. maybe something along the lines of "among you there is one who possesses the key to finding the one piece"
Luffy: i see, i was one piece all along
Guys, what if the "mo-" stood for Mont Blanc (family name of Noland/Cricket)?
-
the name starts with the same japanese letter (モ)
-
Cricket is shown at the start of the chapter
-
Noland always seemed like a more important character, from the way he died with a smile on his face, among other things
-
Continues the trend of Skypia being more relevant than we originally thought
Maybe the first Joyboy was of the Mont Blanc family? Maybe Cricket is a D. clan member and a descendant of joyboy?
I don't think it. But at the same time, I wouldn't even be mad, I'll accept it gladly.
but i highly doubt that dragon has time to sail with a lode poneglyph and I don't think he's the kind of person to sink literally every boat that came near. A pirate would, but not a people's man.
Imu is Mohawk’s sister
So in the end The Mysterious Imu and Monkey D Luffy meet(I assume at the place where the celestial dragons reside.I don't know its spelling though). After meeting Imu,Upon confronting him,Luffy's control of the fruit goes out of his hands and he transforms into his gear 5 and his body gets taken over by the will of Joyboy(basically becoming joyboy himself),at that time Zuneshia will let out a big roar which echoes through miles(this is just to make the episode more cooler). After that luffy(Joyboy) goes into the sky and grabs a piece of the sun and throws it down at the center of the world vaporizing the all immortal imu once in for all. This massive impact creates the sea known as The All Blue
I have a good theory
The “D.” actually means Da Goats
This is because all people with the Will of D are Da Goats.
Why?
Because all of them have done something incredible or are just incredible people in general.
They get into seemingly impossible fights but make it out victorious and alive.
Their strength is incredible and can reach to high status as seen with Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) and Monkey D. Luffy.
Blackbeard had easily captured and handed over Ace, finished off Whitebeard, the first person to gain 2 Devil Fruit powers, and was a Warlord before the system was abolished.
Straw Hat Luffy had fought and won against multiple Warlords. He even won against an Emperor, Kaido who is supposedly “The Strongest Creature”. His Devil Fruit is actually the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika, a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.
This also applies to the other characters such as Trafalgar D. Water Law and Portgas D. Ace.
Gol D. Roger was literally the King of the Pirates and had the highest active bounty of 5,564,800,000 Beli.
It’s pretty clear that out of all of them, Luffy has the best closet of Drip.
But that’s just a theory, A FILM THEORY!!
👏 Bravo
Theory : current events happening in Manga are foreshadowed by buggy when he explained why he hates shanks for not being able to get treasure from under the sea
I don't think Imu is a female. He's probably a kid/boy. I bet he is the twin of JoyBoy, and he betrayed him, that's why he lost. Luffy G5 has the same eyes as Imu. And Imu's anatomy is like a kid invoker. I believe his design would look like a kid jesus, so he also resembles a god.
My theory abt Imu:
Imu originally met Lili at some reverie or past event and they became married for mayb epolitical reasons in the void ages - imu was hella in love with her tho
They conspired to overthrow the ancient government
Lili meets Joyboy who talks to her about stuff and it changes her outlook on life - she then scatters the poneglyphs, betraying Imu
Imu pissed asf at her so he forces her to perfgorm the Immortality operation on him, making him immortal + ending her life (note that ope ope no mi is shaped like a heart...)
Thats why Imu so o bsessed with Vivi in the present age - bro is heartbroken abt lili still
ALso chapter 1 is called "Romance Dawn" and given thats the start of the new Joyboy's story - we can assume "Romance Dusk" or smth was the end of the OG Joyboy's story; that aligns with the theory i js mentioned
Thank you

oops my bad
all good, those kinda comments are more suited for #also-manga or #manga
sure, thanks
I thought it was interesting that the op-op fruit could switch personalities, but not devil fruits. Maybe it can? Its especially interesting when devil fruits can even be 'cloned'. Theres someone we're missing about the nature of devil fruits
For the origin of devil fruits:
I think they could be inspired by 'Yaoyorozu no Kami' from Shinto.
The 8 million gods. In basic terms, Shinto believes that Kami are present in everything. From natural phenomena to mundane human affairs.
I think oda may use this Shinto belief and play with it for one piece devil fruits as the physical manifestation of the Kami.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaoyorozu_no_Kami#:~:text=Yaoyorozu no Kami (%E5%85%AB%E7%99%BE,lucky%20number%20in%20Asian%20culture.
Yaoyorozu no Kami (八百万の神, Eight Million Gods) is a term referring to kami in Shinto. The phrase "eight million gods" in Shinto religion does not mean that there are exactly 8 million gods. It means there are too many gods to count. At the time infinity was not a known concept and 8 is a lucky number in Asian culture. It is used in many other ph...
Why Luffy onlys been in one zoan form:
The reason Luffy is always rubbery despite being a zoan (aside from just Oda not thinking about it at the time) might just be because Luffy is always free, so turning himself normal and not rubbery would simply limit his freedom, which is why he never did it, even accidentaly.
Now, if the form hes always in is hybrid or full zoan is a different story, so im not touching on that
Just a thought and forgive me if someones already mentioned it. Perhaps when the ancient world got flooded it ended up culling a large majority of DF users allowing the fruits to grow again on the new lands. Just found it odd that the only drawback of DF's is the inability to swim so perhaps the flooding is another way to get the fruits back into circulation. Maybe even Joyboy was someone that lost thier life to the floods for that reason? Not really a theory, more or less speculation.
How About this theory roger says to oden that sometime there will come someone that will surpass us correct so what if he meant joyboy so actually the one piece is meant for joyboy so what I believe is that roger might have done something at laughtale so maybe only when joyboy comes then the one piece would be shown because shanks says let’s go get the one piece but he still needs to visit luffy so everything lines up What if like the theory before the one piece is to control the sea or whatever But the government which we know had before shanks stole the devil fruit and the fruit was originally to ace but luffy ate it Because yk roger wanted ace to live on as the pirate king
Imu has the straw hat too. The giant attacking marie joise, and elephant apologizing to joyboy as if they had to give up old joyboy to the "dark side" perhaps?
Guys I found out who sniper king is it’s Kaku listen when kaku went to the ship zoro went down there and kaku talked to him about being the government so kaku and him went out the ship and kaku let zoro take the lead and boom they landed in Naruto where then they stole the scroll of celling and kaku and zoro learned shadow clone jutsu after that they went to the ninja academy where they learned transformation jutsu and then they went back to the ship where kaku said that thing about the going merry and after that when kaku was leaving with the train he used shadow clone jutsu and went with usoop on the train and his shadow clone used transformation jutsu to look like usopp on his mask and then from there you know the rest
noland died while crying, not with a smile
Kid is punk number 7 from vegapunk he's pride/his kid because his arm has number 7 on it. And the pride beast in the ocean from vegapunk looked like kid. I have pics to back my theory as as well.
And every move has punk in the name so I think he's his one of his kids.

okay, so I'm guessing that laugh tale is actually underwater. mainly because there has been a theme of old civilizations being submerged. wano, water 7, and the recent island that was sunk during the earthquake. the thing is, why is so much water being displaced to where the oceans are swallowing up the land? I'm pretty sure that the world of one piece is a closed system, so there wouldn't be any real way to get water out of thin air. My guess is that it might have something to do with the red line. and the red line may be displacing water to where the bathtub becomes thinner and thinner. or it could be from the ocean floor. either way, that's basically my thoughts on it. hope to see what is really going on in the near future.
what if the one piece was the friends we made along the way
but didnt gol d roger crew
The D name being so controversial got me thinking that they might be the ones who stop the gorosei and save the world
Voi D Century
what if sun god nika was misspelled and its meat god niku. luffy has the power to make anything in meat thats why the surrounding gets so wiggly and he will use the sun god to grill all the meat
Well they gotta be the descendents of the opposing force in the war 200 years ago as Imu won it and they called it the name of their enemy
No he’s not
Buggy is a Yonko so what is Yonko Level anymore

We all know it.(or atleast we think we know it)
Luffy is going to die
And probably at the end of one piece.
But, ever think abt how if he dies earlier than expected, then he wont see laboon.
Or get to pay off his treasure tab at Makino's.
this isnt a theory this is just your long shot prediction
i-
oh ig you have a point
Of course Luffy is gonna die. 1st, Rob Lucci stated that Gear 2 was gonna shorten his life 2nd, Ivankov mentioned how their restoration ability will shorten his life both times it was done.
3rd, if his life mirror's Roger's and Joyboy's.
However, let me suggest this. While it is assumed Imu used the Ope Ope operation (again, by Ivankov), what if Law performs it on Luffy, in the modern day.
We got Don Krieg back in the latest chapter 1117 he was seen in Hachinosu which means he can be In Blackbeards crew
Luffy already died once. Do you think that wipes the slate clean?
its more likely that law will die by using the fruit on luffy. the real issue then is who gets the fruit next
what if blackbeard has one of his crewmates use the fruit on him to make him immortal as well
I also think the fruit was used by multiple people. Imu most likely was made immortal by it but I also think the gorosei are immortal from it and possibly even kaido against his will.
This is why BB tried to kill Law. It's obvious that the Ope Ope will be used, but the question is who used it on Imu?
Was it just a random character, to advance the plot device of his immortality?
I say, it's very suspect that Lili never returned to Alabasta
I doubt vivi would use it. But what if it was Joyboy? and since then Imu turned bitter
we never were explicitly told that joyboy had luffys power or how he died. They could have been friends and joyboy trusted imu with the fate of the world and overtime imu got corrupt with power
and we know from blackbeard that powerful people can eat more than 1 devil fruit so even with the nika fruit its possible
ok so i have this theory about gear 5 and blackbeard being related. what i mean is how blackbeard has 2 devil fruit powers and how he is essentially the antithesis of luffy yet they both preach dreams and freedom. the 2 fruits blackbeard possesses are both specifically built for destruction/catastrophe, which is ultimately his goal. so blackbeard has the fruit of darkness and the fruit of destroying the world. i believe luffy will potentially also eat another fruit, but there is a specific fruit i think he will eat, which is the flame fruit. when ace died luffy was struck with grief yet also revealed sn unbelievable strength, in his conquerers haki. i think sabo will have to die and luffy will inherit the flame fruit, almost as if it was destined to be passed down through these "brothers," and this will awaken his true FRUITS strength. the reason i think of this is because of how gear 5 is white yet he is the "sun" god, so i believe gear 5 is incomplete. we also know luffys fruit epitomizes freedom and laughter, and we also know that if you look at aces hat you see a very frowning face and a very smiling face. this represents sadness and also laughter, two things both referenced to luffy (his sadness in aces death and his "happiness" in sabos death. bot actual happiness but the idea that he is the sun god who represents freedom and laughter). now taking this back to having 2 devil fruits, as mentioned previously bb basically has 2 perfect fruits for disaster and cataclysm, i believe if luffy inherits the flame fruit it will truly awaken the sun god, perfectly finalizing the gear 5 form to reveal the flames of the sun instead of the form just being white. he unlocked the strongest haki when losing ace and now unlocks the strongest epitome of his fruit when losing sabo, and inheriting the true spirit of the flames in the scorching heat of the sun.
i also think bb was able to eat 2 fruits because his dreams are so strong and those fruits are perfectly aligned with his dreams, and this also follows the theory vegapunk has about how devil fruits exist. with blackbeard its almost as if not only are these fruits wished into existence by somebody, but with strong enough wishes you can essentially lead a devil fruit to you. i also feel this is why the flame fruit showed itself again to luffy when that isnt what luffy was there for, because it wanted him to have it. although at the time its bot something that would be conceivable so it makes sense for sabo to have ate it. but i believe that luffys dreams of freedom and joy will bring him to inherit the flame fruit and truly conquer his powers.
hmmm ..... wellp then luffy would survive or smthn ig.
Pretty sure the flame fruit showed itself to Doflamingo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ay, I liked that you got deep with that but c'mon man. 💀💀💀💀
Giga chad luffy will say that his dream of freedom makes sense only if he has the freedom to die
wasnt this frm a tiktoker? its a pretty valid one i'd say
ya - the only reason im very 50/50 abt it is everyone saying imu is a woman which means this theory might be toast :(
hope imu is a man. it'll be lame af for the final boss to be a woman and we know abt oda, he'll make her some milf most likely 💀
LMFAOOOOOOOO
likely outcome tbh given oda as u said
honestly a woman boss works realy well for ANY other manga author but oda has a history so ...
yee and oda is bad at drawing females too, dont want imu to look like nami with red eyes and some diff colored hair
it will be like that its a guarantee
hope imu gets a non goofy, straight up menacing design
The question is if imu need motherflame to activated ancient weapon, then what resource imu use when sinking world hundred year ago ?
Everyone gonna die, and the story will end with brook tell a story about luffy/joyboy to new era
real
.
Vegapunk addresses Imu as a male I believe
proof plz
cant send pics here but the quote is "Especially as I do not yet know enough about the type of man that HE truly is
Make do with what you can about that cause the quote kinda contradicts itself
also ppl call the saint nerona imu SAINT not saintess
The existence of an afterlife is confirmed due to conscious and unconscious living nature and the will of all souls combined. as it is the will shaping reality itself, it wouldnt have the same limitations of wills wholly imposed on single persons and being loathed by nature. It would be nature itself.
Oda can make this possible
Vegapunk was about to say moon, moon and dawn. Moon unaware of the dawn, dawn clan and dusk clan both bearing the name of d
Anyone else noticed that this Imu panel has a painted shrine if you zoom in close? With what looks like a tidal wave and a sun about to be swallowed?
Oh wow which panel was that?
Hmmmm🤔🤔
(bad theory) Black Beard and Teach or Teech in this panel are seperate pepole, Black beard has The Leech-Leech fruit, he couldve possibly leeched the other persona (Teech) along with the Yami Yami no me, Teach could also be Teech, it couldve been a naming mistake such as the Wg naming Gol D roger as Gold roger
When Imu looks at the straw hat
I have a feeling Imu will be a Vivi doppelganger (or color-swap)
Do you think Garp will join blackbeard after he learns the truth?
Didn’t notice it at all, really neat find
Would post it on reddit but don't have an account, can someone make a post and credit me? :3
referring to his crew
Shanks calls him by his two names
so does other people with aliases like Big Mom, WB etc...
Shanks calls him by his real name, and then his alias. There’s nothing more to it. Teech gained notoriety as a pirate so shanks thought he should refer to his pirate name
He hates pirates so much and they kidnapped koby so why should he
1 minute to send a message is crazy
I have a theory that much like Luffy powers the ancient robot, his drumbeat can also power other ancient technology like the ancient weapon. And we know that Uranus was used to destroy Lulusia only after awakening Gear 5. It does not say specifically how far away Zunesha was when he heard the drumbeat of JoyBoy. So I theorize that all ancient technology and weapons heard his heartbeat and gained a little bit of energy from it, allowing them to use Uranus for the first time in the series on Lulusia. I also believe next time we see the ancient weapon Poseidon aka Shirahoshi, she will tell Luffy she felt Nika's awakening. Maybe the Mother Flame could power ancient weapons as well as a cheap knockoff of the sun gods energy. But the mother flame was probably made from the Lunarians flame which I theorize was a gift to them from Sun God Nika, maybe so only they have the power to use the ancient weapon Uranus when he was gone as guardians of it on top of the red line. Thoughts?
To lure Garp haha
I dont think so because I think the robot needed to power up so vegapunk can send his video
I think the theory of IMU doing a personality swap with lily is basically confirmed after the va of Imu got leaked
The reason there was a portrait of lily in chapter 1116 is because it's actually just a portrait of Imu having swapped bodies with her, it's also why she didn't return home I think
hey what if Lily's body is getting old already and he wants Vivi's body to have a fresher replacement? too dark?
I mean their sillohettes look similar
a bit indeed
although I doubt they would be the same person because then in this panel imu would be referring to themselves in 3rd person, and on top of that would probably be too egotistical to admit their past mistakes
well, even if they "use" Lily's body, does it mean they're Lily? it's like the mixup in Punk Hazard. Sanji is still Sanji even if in Nami's body etc. so technically that way of adressing would be fine.
but then that leads to the question of who was imus original identity and where did the body go
if we go with that theory that ope ope no mi was involved, we have no other choice, right? we have to accept Lily and Imu are different entities even if they changed bodies (unless he has two souls, now that's a fun thought. he is both Lily and Imu at the same time, like Cavendish). perhaps there is some twist to it, and I mean there must be, if there's none and the story is simple and told in 3 sentences I will be disappointed. also there is more important problem here imo. immortality. how does it work, why is he alive, why is Gorosei alive as well. so many questions xD
Immortality doesn't necessarily mean you live forever. Just means you won't die of "natural causes" or old age. That could play into the fact that Im is always alone, or in a place where he cannot be attacked or killed by enemies.
I think he is alone and secluded because he can't go into the daylight. vampire vibes, that's what Imu gives me.
Oooo that makes sense
tho there was still whole storyline with dragon scales disease that made me think celestial dragons/imu/whoever else of importance turns into literal dragons when exposed to sunlight. or it's a curse. curse actually works also very well and isn't mutually excluding the vampire idea. and there is a curse idea in the story already, D. being called cursed lineage, cursed swords etc.
how does that link Imu with the D.s, I have no clue tho and I will not speculate further... just yet xD
The name lili is meant to represent someone who left the garden of eden (marijoa) to the devil (joyboy) so I think while she was leaving she was killed, I don’t see a reason that imu would have to body swap
Maybe people with the will of d might be related to demons considering they are referred to as the enemies of the gods or they have some sort of demon inside them since at the end of the chapter vegapunk was about to say that people with d in their names have something within them and also maybe they are able to use that in someway as a way to eat another devil fruit since Blackbeard also has d in his name and ate a second one
And it might explain why Blackbeard has multiple personalities
Also I’m not very good at explaining stuff so sorry if what I wrote is kinda hard to understand
So lily was the traitor
I can (if u allow and dm me the theory with panel)
Sure 🙂
I hadn't thought about that that's a good idea, maybe the immortality procedure from the ope ope isn't actually infinite
I've had a theory for a long time that it's actually Mihawk ancestor or something but I have no further evidence
What's interesting is that the personality swap lets you keep your face and more importantly eyes which would actually make it more likely that Michael hawk is actually the descendant of Imu given the resemblance
Yes the symbolism doesn't fit well but I don't see why the personality swap can't happen after lily left on the ship that she left on
Here is the lily body swap issue. Unless there are ZERO portraits of lily in Alabasta, Cobra would have recognized her when he saw Imu...
Someone pointed out how BB's teeth are consistently drawn differently, with 1117's having none missing.
This must be intentional, to foreshadow his different personalities
That would be smart, but isn’t there more than 3 sets of teeths structures?
Ps : ( theory of mine ) what if Zou is actually a zoan giant who s stuck on his awakned form?
Blackbeard eats a bunch of pie and loses teeth, drinks milk to regrow them. Different teeth each time
Oda is not the type to draw that that by accident
he does it on purpose and will be a gag like Momonosuke's fruit being a failure just because he’s the wrong color
I like your thinking, possible in Oda's mind
I also have some sus about Mihawk I can't explain, if that helps xD
nah. just an honest mistake Oda will correct in actual volumes release xD just like the shambles of Law's fingers and multiple other drawing mistakes he makes from time to time
As consistently as BB teeth change though?
and how was it consistent? I spent a lot of minutes before looking through chapters at BB (in volume releases) to find out any visual differences and nope
I doubt Blackbeards teeth mean anything. Oda consistently forgets to draw minor details like scars or features. That’s what that is. There is no hints towards Blackbeard having multiple personalities. All the hinting have gone to his physical body
The only evidence is the eyes
If Imu has relation to any of the antagonists I think it's likely shanks
Think about it, how else could shanks end the war at marineford, or just stroll right over to the gorosei without consequences
Because he's a celestial dragon
the most logical bet I have on Shanks is that he is a God's Knight, or whatever that was called
This sounds interesting
We already know Shanks was the baby they found on God Valley most likely related to Garling.
God Knights are the equilavent to Holy Knights/Crusaders in our world, I can see Shanks finding out about this, taking in the good parts and disgarding the rest.
There is another one who could do talk to gorosei without problems
who's the va
Dio/aokiji
how does explain personality swap
Since, in 1118, Bonnie used Distorted Future to become Nika, if she awakens, could we possibly have a Nika army?
What if the reason why the robot awakened 200 years ago was because the Joyboy from Ancient Kingdom was present and not just another person who ate Nika fruit 200 years ago. He might have time traveled using Toki's fruit.
Tokis fruit is an anomaly in that it was not in circulation for all of the 800 years since Toki just had it while time traveling
The next person to eat the fruit could only be someone in Wano probably who found the fruit near Oden Castles ruin... Which I don't think has happened
Yeah, but Toki also lived 800 years ago.
I mean Joyboy and Toki must've knew each other and used her powers to Joyboy.
I mean someone had to have the Drums of Liberation playing.... So it had to be a Nika of some sort.
Probably not the actual joyboy. Since the Giant woke up, traveled, climbed the red line, devastated it, and was only then deactivated.
I'd imagine Joyboy to be half dead or dying when time traveled by Toki. So its very unlikely it was him who somehow came to 200 yeara ago and survived long enough for the Iron Giant to not find him, but rathee destroy marijois. As we've seen the Giant is interested in meeting Nika more than actually fighting.
Well obviously this is conjecture but would a guy that sounds like Dio look like Imu? In my opinion it's more likely that his deep voice in that tiny body is the result of the ope ope fruit given also that he's immortal
Bonny can only Nika when she believes in herself lol
I think Toki knew where the Robot 🤖 was 200 years ago. She was the one traveling through time to find the robot/or the new Joy Boy, She found the robot and activated the robot once again, but the robot find out about Joy boy being gone and attacked MJ. Toki traveled again after that to Oden's time
So the robot has an ai
Depends on what you mean by AI? Can it think fully on it's own, or is it like kuma is now only with voice commands? that idk.
maybe farfetched, but if punk records is "programmed to keep working after stella dies" that means that his brain is still alive and all that died was his body, not only that would mean the nomu nomu no mi won't go back to the cycle yet, it could signify that VP is still alive
Spoiler theory after ch 1118
||I think Bonney will die at the end of this arc. Firstly she gains Nika power and also possesses an overpowered df that literally turned 2 vice admirals into children. Secondly, her disease is said to be terminal and that she has lots of chances to die after 12 years have passed. And she's literally 12. Maybe, that's why Oda decided to give Bonney the ability to transform into Nika as a final wish||
URANUS = The Emerald City
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/s/JoJujbtv3a
I wouldn't be surprised to hear VP made it so he could sort of 'trap' or separate his DF ability from himself. So that if he died, satellites could continue to add to punk records and continue inventing. Slightly unrelated, reminds me of how Brooks DF binds his soul to his body, but its VP binding the DF to punk records. Maybe there are negative effects we wont see a while after the stella dies from doing it artificially?
I generally think, that luffy has to destroy fishman island and use that volcano on wano and other points on the one piece world, too sink water level.
It always struck me that the red line is featureless and has no mountains, valleys or cracks. Like it was chiseled or made
i'm gonna call it now, the iron giant will swim upwards and grab the bird gorosei and drag him to the bottom of the ocean (where he either dies or it turns out they are immune to sea water)
She was cured years ago but yeah she’s probably dead at this point
Theory about 1118 || The Nika form might be actually possible for all human beings. It might be the actual natural evolution of the human race when it reaches a point where humans are as free as they can possibly be ||
|| Oda might be inspired by sci-fi stories like Childhood end where humans evolve into a new stage. the Nika form might be what humans will look like in the future when they will evolve as free beings ||
The one piece is real
who let this man cook
I also think it tracks as devil fruit being manifestations of 'desires'. kind of how evolution works when animals first sprouted legs or wings
good point. Devil fruits might be linked to the whole concept of evolution
garbage
I got a theory on Vegapunks message
Within you there is A ...... And their name was .....
Vegapunk made the message days in advance, at the point of making the message he wasn't expecting the strawhats.
When Luffy goes Gear 5 on Egghead, Vegapunk rushes to the monitor in shock of the "white warrior", He even asked about Luffy's form to which the crew mentioned the gum gum fruit.
If you look at Vegapunks reaction, he is drawing the connection between Luffy and Nika. Vegapunk even revealed Luffy to be a god to the strawhats quite quickly after seeing the form.
Given he was following Ohara's information too and his reaction to Luffy.
I think Oda is just trolling us to theorize because VP message was always
Within you there is a god and their name is Nika
I was going back through chapter 1069 and Vegapunk says devil fruits are "the potential of human evolution" totally forgot about that
@surreal lintel Bonney’s a child. Please don’t try to make ships like that here, it comes off as creepy
the form seems kinda mute if the whole world is sinking and DF users can't enter the ocean
why would Oda kill characters left and right all of a sudden? it's not his style. also the whole point of liberation would be gone, if after you're liberated you just instantly die lol
sure, logical, but has one major flaw: it's boring. where's the twist? why cut it off if the message overall is just re-heated old news?
I mean, yeah, it's just speculation. but from the Homing story I gathered that he or his kids couldn't return to Maryjois (or whichever pronunciation to choose of that) because they gave away their identity chips. so I can still see some gateways here if Shanks was just a baby that got lost on accident. but yeah, sailing murky waters here. just the God's Knights silhouettes they showed us at one point in the manga, I swear one of them looked like Shanks. still can't post pictures so I can only mention it.
The point would be tragedy but realistic you can't keep a character around who can just copy the MCs powers it just opens up a massive can of worms
if the only way you can make your story work is by killing off any character that can outshadow the MC, you're doing the story wrong, imo
outshadow and duplicate are not the same thing
having a fake Nika sorta invalidates a massive chunk of how luffy unlocked G5 in the first place imo
I dont think it invalidates Luffy at all. If it wasnt for Luffy appearing to her in that form in the first place she wouldnt have been able to achieve it either. The key was remembering that Luffy was the most free in that form. And thats the basis for her distorted future
Not really, Bonnie's power is all about imagination
we had multple other duplicates of devil fruits powers before. Apoo/Brook/Uta using music, for example?
it's almost as if she used "his vision/idea of it" that's why her Nika form reflects his own
They aren’t the main character and a power with massive importance to the lore
At minimum she’s going to lose the powers in the near future I feel it’s just going to open up so many problems that it will need to be definitely closed asap
What problems
Gear 5 isn't the penultimate power One Punch Man style. it doesn't knock off opponents with one punch. so I see no problem personally if Bonney could do it/imitate it as well
with that we would have to disagree, because I find it great that a character that isn't the MC can also become the liberator - a role that is presented in this arc as super duper important to the whole story. One liberator can't save the whole world, but if the message instead is this: "anyone can be the liberator and free themselves", then I like that much better. that being said, Oda claims he doesn't like to throw in messages of any kind in his manga, he prefers for readers to have their own takeaways. well, that is mine then.
Bonney’s devil fruit just has to do with distorting TIME to bring people to a SPACE where a certain thing she can IMAGINE (opposite of REALITY) is.
Hence the reason why she, in imagining the future where she is MOST FREE, transforms herself into Nika. She is not “another Nika” just a reflection of the fact that Nika is the MOST FREE BEING.
Furthermore, many people are angry because this shows that Luffy is no longer the “chosen one.” You ignore (which blatantly exposes your illiteracy), Luffy’s own wishes and the moral of One Piece, which is against celebration of heroism and a will to power through strength, and FOR teamwork, cooperation and friendship. The whole purpose for Bonney has been revealed this chapter: she is (metaphorically) the fallen world which has lost its imaginative vision, and gets SAVED by Luffy through the recognition of the “Nika-like” (God-like) creative imaginative power latent within all people. She is just this theme, made explicit. The story is about imagination, and with it creating the world as you wish. This is why Luffy’s fights in Gear 5 seem to “bend reality.” Because it is against “reality” as such, and FOR imaginative vision. Saturn said it himself to Bonney: “the more you know about reality, the narrower your future possibilities become.”
This will play out large-scale in the coming 2-3 years as the story comes to a close, with the entirety of the people overcoming reality following in the footsteps of their true sovereign Luffy, who does not even want to be a sovereign (which, ironically, makes him the person most fit to be such).
Bonney is not “another chosen one.” She is a proxy to show the revelatory power of recognizing what true liberation and freedom is.
The moral of One Piece isn’t even about the “chosen one.” This isn’t Harry Potter. Luffy is not the savior who begrudgingly takes on the task of saving the world. He is a FOOL, who wants an adventure to find the biggest Treasure the world has to offer. In this pursuit he reveals to everybody he meets their own souls, and he is completely oblivious to it. In this way he isn’t even the main point of One Piece, rather just the vehicle by which Oda can drive us through the world he created.
Luffy, who does not even want to be a sovereign (which, ironically, makes him the person most fit to be such). - he's not the only one, we saw for example King Riku from Dressrosa and Gan Fall from Skypiea, people begged them to be the kings, but they themselves didn't even want to. and that really made them the best kings.
Yes, this shows that Oda is tapped into the true spirit of what a real KING is. Somebody who truly represents the many by being lifted up BY them and forced (in a way) to be their sovereign.
I especially love that part in Wano. Oden holding his people above him, to save them, and them protesting "it should be the other way around, we should be supporting you!". no actually, Oden got it just right. that's why I love him.
It’s a beautiful meditation on the one and the many against the few. Every arc he does it becomes this rolling comedy, a romantic story about the fight to regain what was once lost.
Literarily, One Piece has similar structure to the Bible. Paradise, to a Fall, to a regaining of Paradise anew.
also would be cherry on top if Oda later reveals the "chosen boy Luffy" is actually the least appropriate person for his role. Let's say he is actually destined to destroy countries, like the prophecy in Fishman Island said. But he goes against it. Fate isn't always what we think it is, I wouldn't buy into that "chosen one" gimmick just yet.
Luffy himself is against that from the beginning
And yes, he is destined to “destroy” — destroy the current state of things through his aloofness to it. It’s like being imprisoned, but just getting sick of it so you somehow happen to break out through the skin of your teeth, all the while everybody watching wakes up and frees themselves and others.
but wouldn't it be funny if Luffy's fate was actually to destroy the world, but instead he ends up saving it? I like when fate turns out to be just a funny word for luck and coincidence (but then, there are no coincidences in the world, says old japanese proverb).
I think that is what will happen. Or at least the spirit which Luffy inspires in others will end up destroying the world, and in so doing SAVE it.
and the general trope of hero's journey, yeah. it's kinda modern times ultimate adventure epic. Greeks had their Odyssey, we have our One Piece 😄
Unironically yes. People give me weird looks when I say this is on the same level as Shakespeare, but I know I will only be vindicated. History will absolve me.
don't worry, in times of Shakespeare, people also made fun of him. he was just an entertainment for the masses.
and this is beautiful :3 honestly One Piece never disappoints me. I might not like all the ideas it has, or find some arcs more boring than others, but overall the story always keeps to the high quality standard. and now when I'm rereading it, I only appreciate it more.
Oda has proven himself to be extremely well-read. The more classic literature I read the more I realize his world building has drawn so heavily from the best and most vivid imaginations in human history. If you want to understand some of the themes which are becoming explicit in Egghead for instance (and indeed everywhere in One Piece), check out William Blake’s work. A good companion to it is Fearful Symmetry by Northrop Frye.
What if Imu has joy boy frozen with him and thats why the robot attacked Mary geoise or however it's spelt
thanks, I always appreciate a neat recc 😄 he also draws from science, folklore and many other fields. and of course popculture as well. Sometimes I wonder where does he store it, does he have a brain as big as Vegapunk? haha. but then I remember the clip with Luffy's actor (live action) who visited Oda, and they showed shelves upon shelves of books and research materials Oda keeps around at his home. It was impressive and I bet it was only part of it.
Yeah lmao. I genuinely think he’s just an incredibly voracious reader, and it’s almost all he does when he isn’t making One Piece.
He did say once (I forget where) that OP is his way of processing information he learns. He intakes information from the world and then synthesizes it into a creation (the historical epic One Piece)
Oda must have watched a lot of Popeye back in the day lol
Yeah it is. Thats why for so long I've been saying that the D actually means dragon given the fact ODA hinted it through greek mythology
who didn't XD
welcome to the club, then! that or Dracula. I might not be dying on that hill, but D stands for Dracula 90% of the time in Japanese popculture. that being said, I know exactly two examples runs away
Could be Daedalus too. Given that Daedalus was a genius inventor, and the enemy of the WG was supposedly an extremely advanced society (possibly of these “inventors”)
yeah that's nice, but also oddly specific, and doesn't explain why all D aren't born inventors XD but I like the idea. more interesting than the usual "D stands for Dawn"
anyway, for dragons or dracula, I can see some traits present. some ferality and endurance, for example. and sometimes almost supernatural strength many D seem to possess
and like we know from Chimney's example, she has mermaid blood, but not enough of it for her to have a mermaid tail. but she has some extra skills/features thanks to her lineage, like super good swimming. it could be the same for descendants of D clan, they still have some echoes of their ancestor
i rhink that the one piece is luffy cuz he nika sun king or whatever
would that answer satisfy you tho? because I would be disappointed if that's "just it"
meh, but trolling aside. what if Joyboy isn't what we think he is? it's weird to choose that as an answer when we literally know only scraps about it
Keep cooking bro, preach
Yo guys, how are you doing?
Remember at the start of the series when luffy fought buggy and he knocked out the mayor?
Then the villagers came asked whats up and Luffy was like "Oh, sorry, i beat the crap outa him" and got everyone to rally up and chase them?
I'm putting Imu aside for a moment, but what if Joyboy did the same thing but on a larger scale, he acted like luffy and somehow by doing something good caused everyone to rally up againts him because he doesn't know how to shut up / too direct
how to add image
Preach man!!

As we know One Piece has a lot of connections to Abrahimic Religons. I think Joyboy had 12 crew members (not including himself) and one of them betrayed him. My current guess would be Hiyori or the Iron Giant. I think Luffy will get 3 more crew members to represent the 12 disciples. And one of them will betray Luffy (like Judas) now they could be a Blackbeard Spy or World Government. But I do think right before Luffy is betrayed the Strawhats will have found the 4th ponyglyph and before the sail to Laughtale they have a last supper before claiming the title of King. But the next day someone will show up
To fight Luffy. Whether that be the Goro sei for a rematch or BB crew. I don’t know.
Did you copy and paste this? I've seen this too many times.
I’m somewhat with you the letter d is a reference to some Greek myth. Though not Daedalus. I think given how the one piece plot is edging to a new flood of the world we should be looking at the biblical flood stories such as Deucalion. The son of prometheus and the first man to survive the flood . Deucalion's name comes from δεῦκος, deukos, a variant of γλεῦκος, gleucos, i.e. "sweet new wine, must, sweetness" and from ἁλιεύς, haliéus, i.e. "sailor, seaman, fisher". But what interesting is how Deucalion survived th flood, through a chest. Just like Luffy did in the start of the series
Sweet new wine in this case with one piece could be oda using bink’s sake and sailor seaman could be a connection to pirate
As far as scripture goes, I believe the imagery Oda wants to put forth in the story has already taken form. What you're saying would almost be too explicit. Let me explain:
The final book of the Bible, the book of Revelation, describes, in its very beginning, the image of the Son of Man. Revelation 1:14-16:
"His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
This is where much of the imagery for the Straw Hats may be derived (I believe so, it is hard to come up with such concepts on your own). Breaking it down, "His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow" refers to Luffy's Gear 5 transformation. The feet burning "as if they burned in a furnace" refers to Sanji's Diable Jambe. "out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword" refers to Zoro's Three-Sword Style. These make up the image of the threefold leader of the Straw Hats: Monkey D. Luffy and his wings. "And he had in his right hand seven stars" represents the seven remaining crew members. Finally, his countenance was "as the sun shineth" like Nika the Sun God.
This is also why I do not believe there will be any more SHs. If you want to go by the perspective of Luffy’s “gathering of 10 men” you can include Vivi as a member who is simply “absent yet still a part.” Her story could soon parallel Ace’s.
I like this
Ok this theory is stupid but hear me out
What if the will of D is just the name sake of the legacy of joy boy
Dr hiriluk gave the speech of a man dies when he's forgotten so what if the people who originally started the D naming scheme did it so that the essence of him will never be forgotten and to remember him with the D possibly being the first letter of his middle name
The will of D lives on so joy boy will never be forgotten thus he never dies
And there’s more the wife of this character is Pyrrha which means flame-colored, orange" and based on that who is the first crew member that Luffy when he went out to see?
Wow there is so much correlations. The theory is sound
then what about Oden who says "I'm fine if people forget about me. I will be happy enough if I become just a tale folks will talk about while drinking"? we know almost nothing about Joyboy, his story clearly didn't survive, yet his name randomly pops up here and there. His name wasn't forgotten, but anything else kinda was.
The theory isn't solid but if I had to answer that maybe the followers of joy boy did it just to make sure that his name could be grounded
it's a cool reference to Bible, but we know Oda doesn't take inspiration only from there. North mythology, Hinduism, Japanese beliefs, Joyboy name itself taken from African folklore... there is a lot to unpack in One Piece and it's easy to fall into trap of "One Piece is just inspired by Bible, so the Bible holds all the answers". That being said, it's a cool inspiration bit that you found and that Oda probably used!
I just thought about the theory because I thought of the joke of what if the will of D is just joy boys middle name something like Dingus
Yeah that’s why I said it’s too explicit to have the whole major arc of one piece be an identical analogue of the Bible. Besides, Oda has already had a Judas-like tragedy (Sanji).
but I agree with you. Clearly they didn't want something to get forgotten. I just don't believe the tale on poneglyphs will be the "full story" or how the story actually happened. The same way Oden is remembered as a hero and no one remembers anymore that at some point he was a troublemaker who got kicked out of the shogun's family and disinherited, and once he redeemed himself he just one day hopped on the ship and abandoned his country for years, which normally should make him a criminal.
good point. but that being said, I suspect Strawhats have/will have a traitor before we wrap shit up. It just makes sense, especially if we consider everything Water 7 set up for the future. I don't have steel proofs for that (would be weird if Oda left them clear and visible like that), but I have picked up on some foreshadows. And the biggest thing that makes me believe in it is World Government's ignorance. Why would they just ignore the Strawhats like that if they think they pose such a big danger? Well, the simplest answer is: because they already planted a spy among them who can influence stuff and strike them down whenever it will get absolutely necessary.
Though I could think of one instance that makes me think the traitor theory among Strawhats has something akin to a half proof. Remember Zou situation, right? They got attacked by Kaido's people (who has some sort of ties to World Government, by producing weapons and seastone - Wano is the only place in the world where you can produce it, or so the story tells us). And we assume "oh right, it was because Kanjuro was his spy". But here's the thing. Kanjuro at that time was at Dressrosa, right? so even if they made the vivre card for him, that one would lead Jack to Dressrosa, not Zou.
and sure we can argue "Kanjuro just told them to go to Zou with his devil fruit power. he created a bird that delivered a message". But Dressrosa and Wano are really far away from each other, devil fruit powers have their limits. And there was enough chaos at Dressrosa to make me believe Kanjuro wouldnt have the time to pass the message through Doflamingo to Kaido - Doflamingo was very busy and in lots of his own troubles at the time.
And I'm not sure if we got confirmation of that, because I would have to reread whole of Wano again (which I will probably at some point anyway), but seems Kanjuro contacted Orochi only after arriving at Wano, not before that. There is also this one talk between Law and Hawkins that adds to my suspicion.
No lol
Woah I like this a lot. I still think Bonney is going to join especially with this chap. But if she doesn’t this theory is amazing.
This scene. Hawkins suggests everything for Strawhats-Hearts alliance went well before they arrived at Wano. But we know that's not the case, they run into shit at Zou already, which we assume was thanks to Kanjuro. But Hawkins, despite being on Kaido's side, doesn't know about that. So yeah, just some half-proof half-sus situation for all of you. I will gladly hear your thought about this.
oh, also to add to the mystery of what exactly was the deal at Zou:
So yeah, who actually drove them out of Zou? We never see anyone in the flashback. We're led to believe by what minks tell us that Jack left together with his people because he wanted to help Doflamingo, right? and here we learn that Jack left, but made his people stay to finish the job. But they were interrupted by someone. But by who? Strawhats arrived in the aftermath already, so it wasn't Sanji&co. Heart Pirates arrived there way before so they might know something (Law probably knows as well), but I don't think Heart Pirates are strong enough to chase off Kaido's people on their own. So who is the mysterious savior?
I like the idea of Vivi being like Mary Magdalene. She’s a supporter of Luffy after he converted her from a life of “sin” (working for Baroque Works)
yes
yes
"shart twoedged sword" Must be a reference to Magellan.
Lmao yeah I just saw that
So, bonnie. Her Gear 5th is based on her imagination. She looks like Luffy cuz that's how she saw him, but what it just "awakens" her own devil fruit powers
I think the actual simplest answer is them already knowing what it is. Just imagine if they cared that much about every pirate that researched it they would have to kill a lot of people all they have to do is kill the closest ones to it, example: Ohara. Through spf’s we know Akainu could find it in one year. Pretty odd to include a detail like that showing how easy it is for them to get it but they don’t try. Also, It’s not clear and visible there’s many different groups of pirates going for the one piece and all have a pretty equal chance of getting to it.
There are only a few with equal chance to get the One Piece. You need to be able to read the Poneglyphs.
Out of all the parties that have Poneglyphs rubbing, SHP are the ones that can for sure read the Poneglyphs, with Blackbeard being a maybe, with Pudding, if she can and cooperates
it’s a pretty common theme that you don’t need to find the treasure to get it in stories like this. In kids shows a lot of the time the “good guys” find it and get followed by the “bad guys” which end up stealing it. Only one person needs to find it. Also Vegapunk learned how to read the language from the books of Ohara. Which I thought was the reason the Red Hair Pirates were there. It’s a guess but I was under the assumption Ben Beckman can probably read them now
Brook is viably immortal, he won’t die of natural causes. And he knows about the journey of the Straw Hats, past, present, and potentially the future. If he lives long enough, he could learn all of historical events that happen in the future.
And this is my evidence for it…
Bink’s Sake!
Yo-hohoho, Yohohohoo (x 4)
Going to deliver Binks' Sake! Following the sea breeze! Riding on the waves! Far across the salty depths! The merry evening sun! The birds sing as they draw circles in the sky!
Farewell to the harbor, To my old hometown Lets all sing out with a Don! As the ship sets sail. Waves of gold and silver dissolve to salty spray. As we all set sail to the ends of the sea.
Going to deliver Binks' Sake! We are pirates sailing through the Sea! The waves are our pillows, The ship our roost. Flying the proud skull on our flags and our sails.
Now comes a storm through the far-off sky. Now the waves are dancing, Beat upon the drums. If you lose your nerve this breath could be your last. But if you just hold on, The morning sun will rise.
Yo-hohoho, Yohohohoo (x 4)
Going to deliver Binks' Sake! Today, and tomorrow, our dreams through the night! Waving our goodbyes, we'll never meet again! But don't look so down, For at night the moon will rise!
Going to deliver Binks' Sake! Let's all sing it with a Don! A song of the waves. Doesn't matter who you are, Someday you'll just be bones. Never-Ending, Ever-wandering, Our funny Traveling tale!
Yo-hohoho, Yohohohoo (x 4)
— Brook (One Piece)
This is the lyrics of Bink’s Sake. The iconic tune that Brook’s story brings to One Piece. Look at the highlighted line at the end of the song.
im not finna read allat

does everyone already agree that katarina devon is actually the one Shyarly saw disguised as luffy? the one who will bring down fishman island
Bonney is going to get kidnapped and be used to help fix the mother flame for the goresei's ancient weapon
i think Kuma wil give franky his df somehow
but why
tbh i dont think Kuma wil survive this. if he is not surviving i think he can use his pawpaw fruit to extract his df and inplant it into some1 else
nowadays anything can be possible. i mean look at bonny's df
Anyone know who the character who tells kaido to get ready to go to God valley in his backstory is
Have y’all not noticed that the straw hats represent each other let me tell y’all why the monster trio is all the main colours luffy red zoro green and sanji blue well robin fav color is purple and that’s with luffy( red ) and sanji ( blue ) and luffy ( red ) and mosshead( green ) is Nami and so on so they all link up to each other
Plus each colour has a meaning you see green often represents nature healing and mentality which we know that zoro has one that’s interesting and he heals from some severe cuts blue is often related with calmness, reliability, wisdom and intelligence
Red also means power and leadership plus love which we know that luffy does he brings people out of sadness and red also represents warning and danger and energy + power and a lot of confidence and excitement ( sorry for saying a lot of “ and “ ) so I don’t think this was just a simple thing I think he made it like that

we don't know nearly enough about how exactly does a DF rebirth process work to confirm whether thats even possible
The entire existence of Seraphims is essentially an attempt at replicating the effect of a DF with a lineage factor. But thats still not close enough to a full blown DF transfer. If WG knew how to do that forcefully they'd have every single prisoner stripped of their powers.
To get back to your point, Kuma at this point is a Cyborg. There's so little of the original man left in this body yet he still has his powers and comparatively Vegapunk's main body is dead but we haven't had any focus on whether this means that his DF is in the process of rebirth already ( with satellites being a permanent thing which doesn't get affected whether DF user is dead or not ) or is there some other factors we dont know of.
For all we know, the original user has to be fully dead. Some notable examples:
-Whitebeard at Marineford ( consumed by BB immediately in some cryptic way )
-Ace's Fruit - obtained by Doffy and part of the tournament to lure Luffy to Dressrosa
-Absalom's Clear Clear Fruit - now in BBs crew after murdering Absalom
-The Slime from Punk Hazard - consumed a weird candy and died turning a nearby fruit into a DF
I dont think you can just eject the DF from your body, its ingrained on a whole different level with your DNA. If Kuma at his peak wasn't able to do that to his enemies i dont think he can do it to himself.
Kuma's powers sure comes close of being able to do that.
It was just a theory i wont be suprised if he actually wil do that.
Fishman Island Theory
Argument: Luffy Is Going To Destroy Fishman Island With the Mother Flame.
Reasons:
- Madam Sharley's Prediction
- The Island looked like it was burning in the prediction
- If he destroyed the mother flame Imu cant use uranus (if it is uranus)
- In the process the mother flame could burn the red line down
- If the red line burns down it could take marie jois with it
How it would work:
Luffy and the Crew go on another training arc with Shanks and Scopper Gaban while the rest of the crew went elsewhere.
Crew Locations: - Ussop + Robin = Elbaf
- Luffy + Nami = Lodestar (last island of the new world)
- Zoro + Jimbei + Franky = Egghead
- Brook + Sanji + Chopper = Revoloutionary Army Base
- Luffy + Shanks + Scopper Gaban = Hachinosu (Blackbeard's Island)
(Luffy is in to places bc he goes to Blackbeard bc he learns that Garp has been captured cuz Shanks told him and they happen to meet Scopper Gaban who was staying on the island and Shanks tell Scopper the situation so they all go to stop Blackbeard together and in the process train.)
After a long fight Blackbeard and his crew ends up losing. However, Luffy is kidnapped by Blackbeard and turned into the Marines in exchange for them not coming to get Garp.
Then it starts the second war where all of Luffy's Allies come together to save him and win and get luffy back where they flee the island and head straight for Elbaf and Continue Their Journey.
Also in the process of the second war at the new Marineford the Revolutionary Army Attacks Marie Jois Which makes it so the elders, imu, and the holy knights are too occupied to interfere with the war which allows luffy and his crew to leave before things get out of hand.
Fishman Island Theory Continued -
After Luffy and his crew find the final Road Poneglyph they go to Laugh Tale and find out the true history of the world. After learning it they devise a plan to finally completely take down the government. Eventually, in the plan Luffy and his crew beat up everyone at Marie Jois and escape with the Mother Flame. Then they burn down fishman island and in the process they take down the red line revealing the islands which had been completely flooded from the void century. And in the process destroys Marie Jois. However, all of this is being broadcasted by Buggy and his crew, and everyone in the world finally realizes that the government is completely corrupt. However, the elders, holy knights, and imu survived and are standing right with the Straw Hats on the remaining parts of the Red Line. This rages an all out battle. The Government Vs. The Pirates. This battle is either the end of the world or the start of a new era. However, the winner will obviously be the pirates led by "Straw Hat" Luffy and his crew who liberated the entire world.
thumbs up = good theory
X = bad theory
that seems to operate under the assumption that only the red haired and straw hat pirates actually do anything proactive; that's really kinda stupid for a theory (and/or possible direction for the story to take) that's supposed to encompass the entirety of the rest of one piece
the mother flame burning down the red line i doubt would work but it would be kinda cool
Anyone have favorite theory YT channels? I watch a lot of Ohara but have seen some of Dak's
Probably best to ask this in #manga or #manga-serious
what do people think about the theory that the five elders are demon? I have some small proof for it, I'd like to discuss
ping me if u wanna chat abt it
What’s the proof
Sooo, back in Ch 1094, we see st saturn go on to complain about millions, which would usually or proabably seem normal, except for, he discrases the humans
which would be normal, like arlong saying humans are inferior species or King with Zoro and so on, but the thing is, they are all different races from humans, fish man, lunarians and so on. If saturn would to discrace the huamans, in the case that he was a human himself, he would have excepted himself and the elders, or used the phrase, most humans
the fact he doesn't bother with that shows that he isn't a human, or seem to act like one. They also have very 'unique' transformations for being a devil fruit. If you were to take luffy for example, all he needs is 'drums of liberation', but nothing too 'visual'. However, the 5 elders need this ritual around them to entirely summon themselves, like being actualy devils, instead of devil fruits.
if we take another example, like Lucci, we see that lucci can simply transform himself, or maybe like chopper, where he takes on his rumble balls, he becomes all big, but without any 'trasformation act'.
Well with him referring to “humans” that already has a more simple explanation. We know that the Celestial Dragons don’t view themselves as humans, they view themselves as gods. In the Doflamingo flashback, when Homing is on the Den Den Mushi with Mariejois, the Celestial Dragon refers to Homing as “human” as an insult even though he’s obviously a human himself. It’s just a Celestial Dragon thing.
As for the summoning circles, we actually already know that they don’t need those to go into their zoan forms. After Mars crushes the fake transponder snail in the room with Vegapunk’s brain, he transforms back into his zoan bird form just like any other zoan user. The summoning circles seem to be used to quickly travel from place to place, like Saturn traveling from the ship he was on to the middle of Egghead or the Gorosei traveling from Mariejois to Egghead.
Oda also puts on this theme of gods and demons, and so far, we have seen so called gods, like Luffy, nika and so on, however, not demons 'sepcifically' except for the elders. Taking on the 'demon like ritual', and to see the dark sides about the marines, it shows the satanic-like side of the elders. Especially because they oppose the supposed 'gods', we can assume in things like buddism or christianity, the opposite 'side' of god is hell, or demons.
They also have this weird ability of telepathy, which I just decided to include, but is weird, as they seem to not be able to read other characters minds like luffy, bonney, kizaru and so on. If they were to be able to, the would have some sort of 'connection'. However, things like devil fruits couldn't possible work in this situation as there would need to be 5 of them with this ability, on top of their unique transformations, abilities, it is just weird that there would be lets assume 'mythical, or in other words satanic' devil fruits, all had this weird telepathy power
Well actually I think the symbolism of gods and demons kinda goes the opposite way around. While its true that Luffy is Nika, the sun god, his crew also has generally demonic themes. Zoro is the "King of Hell" and his strongest move is Asura which is akin to a demon, Sanji's strongest move translates to "Demon Leg", Robin is known as the "Devil Child" and now her strongest move is to take the appearance of a devil, Brook was mistaken for a demon, etc. Whereas the Celestial Dragons have a lot of godly motifs. Imu is referred to as "the creator" and has a plan to flood the world similar to the biblical god, the Seraphim are named after a class of angels, God's Knights is pretty self explanatory, and it seems like the Eve Tree might grow through Mariejois (Eve tree referencing Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden).
I also honestly just think that making the Gorosei demons would kinda go against the thematic irony that surrounds the Celestial Dragons rn. One of the main points thats been built up is the irony of the Celestial Dragons viewing themselves as "gods" and somehow being different than the rest of humanity despite the fact that they're literally just normal humans. Like in the world of OP there are genuinely races that are objectively stronger than humans - fishmen, giants, lunarians, etc. And yet the Celestial Dragons, who are no different than any other humans, are the ones who parade themselves around as being special and above everyone else. Its a purposeful contrast meant to make a point about how stupid elitism is. To turn around and be like "btw the leaders of the Celestial Dragons actually are completely different to humans, in fact they're a whole new race/species" would kinda ruin all that
And yet Sabo said "there is a hell on top of red line". I think the borders are getting slowly ridiculed on purpose, to finally prove there are no actual demons or gods, just people.
bonnika is gonna be king of the pirates and hide the one piece just like roger and continue his legacy and then be executed ✊
if franky was there when ace got donut couldve he saved his life and made him a cyborg too?

thats more a question for #manga or #also-manga
Luffy's true dream is unlimited freedom for everyone. 200 years ago, someone might have had the fruit of Bonny who managed to reach the Nika form himself (perhaps he got information (about NIka) from the giants) and that's why the robot was switched on and attacked the Redline.
That's why everyone laughs at him, because unlimited freedom seems unattainable for everyone and that's why his wish is labeled as ridiculous. See the reaction of the Straw Hats, some said that he can best achieve his dream as King of the Pirates
Last thought, then I won't bother him any more. What if 800 years ago Joy Boy, with his power to transform into Nika, once showed the owner of the fruit of Bonny's power how it works. She used it on herself and on all D bearers (that's why the D is also a laughing mouth). It is said, "I sense something, we have to hurry," which is what the 5 wise men say to each other. Could it be that they are afraid that Bonny will use the "Consumed Future - Where I am Totally Free" on others? Perhaps they are having a deja vu, where they had the problem once before and 20 kingdoms were needed to keep the D's in check. That also explains why Bonny should be killed, because the fact that she is the master key for Bear is probably not as dangerous as the Consumed Future.

Theory:
Luffy was given the Hito Hito no Mi on purpose. Why him and not Ace, (Gol D Roger's son) I can't say. But then, further...
the treasure of Mary Geoise. I think it must either be made of something or have some kind of powers... well, Roger's maybe a smaller version he wanted for himself. What I'm saying is that the Hat itself somehow protects Luffy or was an artifact given to Luffy specifically. After all this time, and learning more about the Gum Gum fruit, do we really believe there isn't more to Luffy's prized possession? Is it really just a hat? Could it be a key? A portkey? A weapon?
Given? He ate it without knowing it was a df
Yes, but purposefully putting it somewhere he would find it wouldn't be out of the question
There is all kinds of question of motive
Why would he keep it on his ship unguarded? Their whole crew went out. So it makes sense to bring it with him
He wasn't above tricking Luffy into drinking Milk it's not much of a reach to think this was also that
I doubt this was preplanned
Put more clearly:
a. Shanks knew of the Hito Hito No Mi model Nika's true name/backstory
b. He intentionally ensured luffy ate it by putting it in extremely close proximity to him
C. He gave him his hat which is a mini version of the big one which has some yet unforeseen effect or powers
This is my theory. I think the hat will be a key of some kind, or will have some kind of rare material it's made of that's immensely valuable
Was it clarified joyboy was infact a giant?
No. He was warrior of ancient kingdom who fought like Nika.
There is something more to this than meets the eye
Basically he was the first user of the Nika fruit
Furthermore there is a very specific reason it's in luffy's possession which is the same reason he got the fruit
I agree with A with B not SO much because the reason shanks sacrificed his arm was to let Destiny/fruit itself guide luffy to one piece
Why sacrifice your arm if all of this was preplanned
I also believe that Imu is one of the twenty original founders, a recipient of Law's fruit immortality power and that the reason he is above all the world is because he killed the others during the void century
btw just as a tip, if you wanna avoid the cooldown you can just take the discussion to #manga-serious
That's why he hates Vivi and has a sliced poster of her (does she even have a bounty??)
I don't think he specifically hates vivi
No, at least to our knowledge, maybe she does now after the incident at Mari Geois
Didn't she like, her great great whatever grandma, be like, a complete opposition party? A symbol of resistance? And vivi is basically her reincarnated?
Yes but one of the theories is that this imu guy was inlove of Lili another theory is that imu took over lili's body and this is because ppl assume he is infact a she cuz of the whole flower and butterflies he/she is always surrounded
U know one thing that shocked me when vegapunk was gonna talk about the Ds and it shocked BB SO i was like "so there's still things BB is unaware of"
Because in all honesty to My assumption i thought bb already had the Big picture of everything but apparently not which has me thinking if his agenda is just to mess around with nukes to scare the wg and create this Big pirate world
I feel that the only three possible places where the knowledge regarding the will of the D / ancient kingdom exist are Laugh Tale - which was confirmed multiple times, Elbaf which we now know has a library consisting of the books recovered from Ohara and BB didnt manage to visit those places (as far as we know) while Vegapunk did make it to Elbaf as we saw in his flashback
the third option is the poneglyphs
Its been ages since we've had an actual scene depicting what's inscribed on them (which has to come up eventually, right? right??) so its entirely possible that Vegapunk managed to find some notes/translated one himself and uncovered something largely unknown to the world
Ok but it's just to My imagination and assumption i thought he scaling positions was for something bigger like claiming his right to something that was taken from his family or something like doflamingo and not just "i want a Big pirate theme park"
But i'm pretty sure there's a bigger picture because for a character that has been around for this long it can't be just for lame reasons
Not sure if he intended on Luffy eating it considering when he realized Luffy ate it his first reaction was "You Dumbass!"
I told him that but he refuses to admit what was obvious
Shanks could have just told him "hey luffy i brought something special for You, i heard You like rare fruits SO i brought u one" dun dun dun line and sinker. And we would be calling him Shanks D. scheming rat
The idea that Joyboy was a giant is based on the big strawhat in Mary Geoise, right? But if that hat isn't from void century the whole idea that Joyboy was a giant is wrong. This can be a stretch, but I think that hat is frozen because of Oars, who also died because of being frozen. We see him try to put a hat on his head, otherwise he felt anxious. And it was because of Luffy's memories, but it can also go deeper than that. The Oars accident happened lke 500 years ago, so after void century and might have nothing to do with Joyboy. I know it's farfetched, but it's just an idea I wanted to share. I think Imu doesnt know everything, he didnt even know that Lily was a D. He might be also kept in the dark, maybe he keeps that hat because he doesnt know what it means and wonders if there is a connection to Luffy's hat - just like us! That's a weird feeling to relate to Imu...
Yo, I had no clue about this
From Rogers crew, it could be legit lol that’s a weird marker to have, but could just be associated with a country or thing like Germa lol
What if imu is joyboy
Angered after losing his devil fruit powers
And zunesha and others are asking his forgiveness bcz they couldn't save him from losing his power
And it was the nefertari family that caused this as they were afraid joyboy is getting too power greedy and so they seek for a better candidate for the nika fruit.... Ok it sounds bullsht now
I recently saw a theory that Oars is the joy boy that died 900 years ago
i think imu is some sort of demon used to be human before then got his body taken over by a demon
You can see Morgans black silhouette in human form at Punk Hazard watching Caesar's black market broadcast, and it kinda fits, the hairstyle especially
Yeah, that be a cool hell plot twist too
Even nicer plot twist if he's not the only ex-Roger pirate influencing the world from the shadows. Maybe Vegapunk was wrong and Roger pirates are doing something...
waiting to see Rocks D xebec in the manga
We are so close to the end of the series... I wonder if Rocks D Xebec turns out to be the man with the burnt scar or he turns out to be Dragon in reality.
Imagine it was crocus
I would love to shout that it was Crocus all along, but he seems to care only for his own survival...
Ooo, that is true, the ex Roger Pirates have been quiet but they not stupid
kidd vs down d stairs
Well rocks is dead, and I doubt it’s dragon ngl. Ppl would just call the guy dragon (plus dragon is way to busy to be doing that stuff)
Also why does dragon of all ppl care for a glpyh? (And somehow Robin not get a copy)
How do u know rocks is dead?
Well he hasn’t done anything at god valley. And I think it was literally said he was dead lol. Idk who but I think someone says it (I think maybe even a couple of ppl)
Ope Ope No Mi operation turns you into an immortal demon.
Once a god knight gets this power up he becomes an Elder.
Which is also why Bonny was not able to turn Saturn older. He simply can’t get older.
Sengoku said he’s dead yea
Bonny gear 5 is the One Piece
theory: All the Strawhats will transform into Nika
Lili's silouette looks like Kureha
Do we see it in manga as well?
sort of like power rangers to form one giant Nika?
...YES!
The Will of D is a family/clan shit so it means fredbears famil Dinner is the meaning of D and allthe D members are the Child corpses
In a way this theory has been around for quite some time:
Crocus is guarding the Reverse Mountain - the entrance to the Grand Line
one of the still unresolved cover stories had him meeting with someone whose identity we never got confirmed
Rayleigh is at the Sabaody - which is the entryway into the New World
Scopper Gabban is completely MIA , and people have speculated he is the one guarding the Lodestar Island - the end of the Grand Line
Shanks was a child during his days with Rogers Pirates, he has a clear association with them and knows a lot about the world
If Morgans is actually a former member of Rogers Pirates, he essentially has the ability to convey whatever information he wants to the entire OP world.
Combined, thats a lot of ground covered for people who have been called out by VP for doing nothing. Given only we, the readers, are the only ones fully aware that Roger was simply too early for all the elements to fall into place ( ie Poseidon not being born yet ). Its very possible that Rogers Crew is very aware of Luffy's progress and how his goals align with Rogers.
Morgans is not a member of the pirate kings crew. Back in rogers era he a a minor journalist working for the WG. He printed out the fact article hailing garp as the Hero of the Marines at God Valley.
Roger had sapphire scales?
I did go back to the chapter to find the exact moment and yeah, you're correct.
I was just going off the thread comparing the look of one of the pirates in the Rogers Crew to Morgan and its not like we see him in this chapter anyway hahah so maybe its a deliberate choice to not show off his human form since it would give something away.
I have a theory. Lillith and atlas will die and they will give punk record access to franky before they die.
why? Wheres the proof?
Possible that Lilith and atlas may die, with them dead, then the elders have no reason to pursue the strawhats, for now. Once those satelllites are dead they elders will likely consolidate and assess their losses and secure the mother flame before they move against their next target. Still being dead is not always absolute in one piece. Maybe some of the satellite may be revived and escape by faking being dead to fool the elders or York long enough for the strawhats to escape to elbaf. Though I highly doubt franky will get access to punk records, it’s been made clear that you need to be part of vegapunks brain to have direct access.
One or more vegapunks have to be alive to always explain the mechanism of punk records and the true power of the brain brain fruit. Like how satellites are made and what happens to them when they die
That proves nothing. Maybe he had a printer on the oro Jackson and send the news everywhere. Moreover, Roger was like luffy, doesnt wants to be a hero so hiding his involvement in god valley would be in character
I think that one of the vegapunks, atlas would die, simply because it is in the style of Oda, but also that if one of them would be kept alive, it would be able to stop greed (york) from going in and taking in all the information for the elders, because inevitably, she has the elders protection. Unless all vegapunks die, it probably likely that this theory would remain half true
Franky is technically a cyborg and according to @loud nimbus he can transplant part of stella brain. This is my theory but all vegapunks wipe out expect york . This is too soon to kill these characters
I have a theory that Shanks helping Luffy has a deeper meaning. We know in chapter 907 Shanks was able to meet with the 5 Elders, and it's speculated that is because he is of celestial dragon blood, namely from the Figarland family. But how does that let him talk to the elders much less not be hunted as a Yonko in Marijose. Yonko are considered a threat to the world government and yet no one tried to imprison or kill Shanks. If we believe other leaks to be true about the Figarland family it says they "Put Imu in power 900 years ago". We know celestial dragons and Imu hold grudges as shown by the Buccaneers, still persecuted, killed and enslaved 800 years after an unknown perceived crime against the world government. So what if the opposite is true as well, my theory is the Figarland family which is a powerful family as shown by Shanks power and Saint Figarland Garling, their ancestors are the ones who actually killed JoyBoy, therefore granting them status as the "Sword of Imu" or another high ranking military or knight status up until even know. Also showing why a Yonko such as Shanks is given so much leeway, due to his family being "blessed" by Imu for killing JoyBoy and why they'd listen to him about what Pirates need to be dealt with. It also gives deeper meaning to Shanks helping Luffy as a form of repentance for his family Killing the old JoyBoy.
why was shanks so carefree about a chest who contained potentially one of the most powerful fruits in op? in a literal bar
I think he wanted to give it to luffy
I believe his original plan was to give it to ace but when he met luffy he decided to give it to him instead
D = Drummer . Joyboy name is Davey or David
the tree in back in the anime shots of elbalf, can it be adam? Franky said the land around the tree is war-torn...and this dont look war torn to me
Second thing i wanted to discuss was this shot, it seems like three are in sword, so kizaru in sword too?
basically theory based off the opening in anime
Guys I have a very weird theory don't you think Kid is like a punk satellite? Cause whenever he attacked with his gun there a number 7 on it he might be Punk 7 Pride/Anger?
That has been a relatively popular theory in the last couple of months yes, personally there is a lot speaking against it but it's not impossible
That theory has been suggested in the past. Based on the usage of punk by kid and the 7 on his rail gun. Though couple of holes in the theory, like why would a boy who was born in an unaffiliated WG nation in the south blue be affiliated with Vegapunk a government worker from the grand line and operates in the new world
Crocovoice (an alternative to crocomom):
Its possible Crocodile was born with a Pika-esque voice, and the deal he made with Ivankov was to get hormones that would get him a deeper voice.
- I could see Oda doing something so silly
- It would be embarassing for Croc and kinda tarnish his image
- "Crocoboy" would still make sense as a nickname, since he would sound like a young boy. Adding "Sir" to his name might also therefore be compensating for this
luffy gear 5 increases creativity, durability and speed at the expense of using haki.
