If shanks is evidence of anything, god knights might just be haki lords also. The fail safe defense AGAINST fruit users if u will
Because the brain brain fruit did not make vegapunk intelligent. He was already intelligent it just allowed him to accumulate data in his brain and made it more accessible to others
Think of it as a server
Imagine we saw Toki meet luffy at the end of wano
Hear me out… when she got shot during the flashback. We never saw her body. So she teleports to the future after kaido is defeated wano is free. Momo and hiyori find her bleeding out, and while they’re trying to console her and get help, she tells them how proud of them she is. Luffy then pulls up and asks what’s going on. As soon as Toki sees him and the Strawhat she smiles. She starts to recite the poem about the moon unaware of the dawn. She then says something to luffy but we don’t see it because it’s blurred. Luffy smiles and says the same thing he said to Rayleigh. The pirate king is the most free. Toki smiles and thinks “his warm smile is just like yours father”
That’s when we (the readers) find out that momo is the grandson of joyboy
Toki smiles for a final time and congratulates them for securing peace in wano and tells them to be strong. Oden is proud of them. Toki looks at Luffy and says “never lose your smile joyboy” Luffy laughs and says “Roger”
She passes away peacefully in her son’s arms.
They hold a secret burial for her in front of kuri

Could a high altitude environment encourage more numbers of haki users? Given that in the skypiea arc, all the priests that were originally from birka had mantra which was what denizens of the White Sea called haki. Also it seems that haki could be born with in the White Sea at a very young age. Given that the level of Mary Geoise is close in high to the White Sea, it’s inferred. I mean if the God’s knights are all descended from world noble lines, with insane fighting abilities. Part of that could be explained by their monopoly of getting mythological devil fruits via their connections. Though even with that advantage fighters would still need experience, training, maybe scant few individuals develop haki naturally in Mary Geoise due to the air.
Interesting idea. Ive thought harder situations breed strongerhaki potential. Ie. Garp beating the 3 kids up constantly and developing their strength and “will power”.
how plausible is the theory that WB's inheritance is the final poneglyph?
Mr kuma is the strongest warlord we believe that it was undoubtedly known by the world government seen through the pacifistas being created
Kuma has been spotted punching through the defenses of a gorosei
Although you may argue mihawk is the strongest
Let me remind you that Mr Kuma is not a swordsman
Now that I have your mind engaged on this topic
Mr Kuma could wipe the floors the warlords pretty easily
Considering his body modifications I would argue that he would be immune to boa as well
this has been written to spread awareness to Mr kuma's power level and get him out of the underrated squad
Wasn't that the money he was gonna use to rebuild his hometown or am I tripping
I didn't phrase the question correctly, my bad. What I meant was if it's a part of the inheritance, money is certainly in question here as well
Hm I see, but now that I think about it, wasn't the last poneglyph owned by the man with burn scars
Iirc it was at the Fishman Island during the Roger flashback, now the whereabouts are unknown
Man marked by flames should know where it's at, if it was part of WB's inheritance it would make sense because why would Oda introduce another plot point without a reason
ridiculously long zoro theory inbound
gimme a theory understandable for a guy who's on water7 arc
sorry lol

A theory as to why Zoro’s death is unavoidable.
Credits to: Dawn And Dusk (Please check him out on YouTube.)
In volume 91’s SBS, Oda made a remark about Zoro that sounded quite foreboding. He said “If Zoro survives, he’ll end up looking like this (with 2 pictures he drew, 40 and 60 years of age.)” as if Zoro’s death was a given. This has let to speculations that Zoro might not live to age 40. Also, the title of chapter 1036 which concluded the battle between Zoro and King, is “The way of the warrior, is found in death,” which is a quote from Hagakorei, a text from the Aido period. It’s the idea that in moments of life or death, one should be prepared to give up their life. By accepting death every morning and evening, one frees their mind from death, becoming liberated and fearless.
This philosophy has a similarity to Zoro’s mindset. Zoro has declared that he’s rather die than live in disgrace. He’s even offered his life as a sacrifice for others (his crewmates, for instance.) He is determined to fight regardless of what happens to him afterwards. Furthermore, he’s proclaimed himself as “The King of Hell.” Enma, in both the One Piece world, and in traditional mythology, is known as the King of Hell, judging the sins of the dead.
One big hint towards Zoro’s death is this: recently, Oda hasn’t used covers without meanings. Everything is a hint to the story. I would assume, that in the final battle of the series, Zoro will face the toughest fight he will have ever had prior. Other members of the crew have had their pasts significantly explored; however, Zoro’s character, perhaps due to his lack of concern for his past or lineage, hasn’t had his backstory dove into deeply, this implies that, instead of a flashback, there will eventually be a time where Zoro will be highlighted in a different way. Zoro will have a near-death experience in the upcoming battles. Through this experience, he acquires a black blade. He might even meet Kuina in this moment.
Don’t worry, Zoro will return just like he did in Wano. Moreover, I believe any events related to Zoro’s death, was pre-determined by his acquiring of Enma. In fact, Oda has been weaving themes of death into the story recently, and subtly enough that readers may not notice. A major clue is in chapter 1094, where Bonney uses her technique “NDE (Near-Death Experience).” A marine affected by this technique, said: “I saw the Sanzu River.” It would be understandable if he said: “I saw the grim reaper” or “I saw heaven.” But why did Oda specifically choose the “Sanzu River?”
It’s likely because this river has a deep connection with Zoro. The “Sanzu River” is a boundary river, separating the living world and the afterlife. According to the beliefs of the 10 kings, after death, a soul crosses this river, and travels through the underworld, for judgement. The most famous of these kings, is Enma, the King of Hell. I think Zoro will have a brush with death, and like Brook, in a soul state. Zoro might converse with Enma, then return to the living world. Hints of this has been depicted in recent cover pages. Like this one :
This is likely a hint of the “Sanzu River”, which as I mentioned earlier, is a boundary between the living world and the afterlife. Ginney, who we know is deceased, is on one side of the river, in the afterlife, seemingly looking angry at Kuma coming toward her. On the other side of the river, we see Gyogyo, still alive and well, in the living world.
And Kuma, in the middle. He’s become a complete human weapon, his soul seemingly drifting to the afterlife, yet his body remains in the living world.
In the cover of chapter 927, Garp is shown competing with a bear over a salmon:
I think Garp, present in this river, is currently in a state of limbo, between life and death, due to Kuzan’s cryogenic preservation. This chapter might have already hinted at Garp being exposed to danger of death.
There’s also a past cover with a similar composition, featuring Zoro in the middle of a river, with the title “The World’s Highest Authority”, referring to the 5 Elders.
It suggests that Zoro will have a near-death experience in a fight against the World Government, crossing the “Sanzu River.” Indeed, 2 years ago, Kuma said to Zoro (Thriller Bark): “I will show you hell.”
I think that when Zoro is on the brink of death, and crosses the “Sanzu River”, he will have a brief dialogue with Enma. This could lead to Enma’s transformation, into a black blade. Of course, imbuing a blade with CoA is key to turning it black. But more importantly, it’s about understanding the sword’s true essence.
Enma has responded to Hiyori’s “Moon Princess” (a musical piece), and has absorbed Zoro’s haki independently, suggesting that it hasn’t yet accepted Zoro as its rightful owner, and Zoro hasn’t completely mastered or understood Enma either.
Gyukimaru said: “Shusui became a black blade, thanks to Ryuma’s many battles.”
“Naru,” which means “to become” is the verb used here. This verb is commonly written in Hiragana, but it is written in Kanji in that moment. Oda has used this Kanji for the “naru” verb once before. In the SBS volume 20, Oda answered a question: “What happens if a person eats the Hito Hito: no Mi?”
His response was: “I suppose they ‘become human’. You may have heard this in Japanese, becoming ‘human’ can mean, becoming a god, or a similar being, in a human form.
If “naru” was written in Hiragana, it would simply and literally mean “to become (x)”. The important aspect is that, when this “naru” Kanji is used, nuances like “a god becoming human” or “growth as a person” emerge. Additionally, in that SBS, Oda concluded with “hai, sayounari.” In Japanese, “sayonara” means “good bye”. But why did he say “sayonari”?
“Nari” is one of the pronunciations of the “naru” kanji. This means that Oda, by deliberately using this Kanji, was hinting that the Hito Hito no Mi is a divine fruit. This suggests that when a normal sword becomes a black blade, the soul of the sword might materialize and take a human form. By conversing with its owner, the sword fully accepts him and becomes a black blade.
Especially with Enma, being the KoH, it might only reveal its form when Zoro is near-death, and his soul nearing the afterlife.
Interestingly, after Zoro’s battle vs King, a shinigami, a being known to take souls, appears after him. In the next battle, it’s possible that this exact being will take Zoro’s soul to the Sanzu River. If Kuina’s soul were to assist Zoro’s soul at that moment, it would be quite moving. In One Piece, wordplay involving Japanese, often becomes an important foreshadowing element.
There might be a question lingering in your head: “Does the afterlife really exist in One Piece?” This has been proven by Brook. After he died, his soul reached the afterlife.
But his ability allowed his soul to return to the living world. He referred to the afterlife as “Yomi no Kuni” which is the underworld in Japanese mythology. This suggests that the essence of Brook’s ability is not resurrection, but the ability to manipulate a soul that should’ve gone to Yomi no Kuni. Brook says: “A soul should go to Yomi no Kuni after dying once.”
He then goes on to say: “But my soul emits a powerful energy (likely due to his devil fruit), almost tangible, to exist in this world. The power that keeps me alive in this world is not organs or muscles, but it’s my soul.” This means that in the world of One Piece, each person has their own soul tied to their body. When the body dies, the soul is automatically sent to Yomi no Kuni.
However, Brook can control his soul in its state, allowing him to return to the living world, thus, while the name of his fruit “Yomi Yomi no Mi” implies “revival” from the verb “Yomigaeru”, it also implies that the fruit grants access to Yomi no Kuni (afterlife).
Moreover, since Kin’emon also referred to the afterlife as Yomi no Kuni, which suggests that at least in Wano, the concept of the afterlife is recognized. Vegapunk has also mentioned the existence of souls. He quoted a scholar from the West Blue who said “After death, a person loses 21 grams of mass. That is supposedly the weight of the human soul.”
Why did he bring this concept to Kuma? Currently, Kuma doesn’t seem to possess a soul as if his soul is about to cross the Sanzu River. However, the important point is that he can still use the powers of his devil fruit. He might be using his ability thanks to the green blood, but it’s likely that his soul is still residing in his body, even though he has become a human weapon.
This is because, as we can understand from Brook’s example, the power of a devil fruit probably resides in the soul of its user, not in their physical body. Though Kuma has lost his memories and emotions, becoming a human weapon, I believe his soul is still inside of him.
Remember what can stir a soul? Playing music can resonate more strongly with people’s soul. If Kuma reaches Egghead and Luffy transforms into Nika and regains the rhythm of the Drums of Liberation, Kuma’s soul might return.
This is why I think the concept of souls holds a significant meaning in One Piece. It related to music and ties the fundamental nature of devil fruits. It’s important to note that while humans in the One Piece world head to the Yomi no Kuni upon death, the power of the devil fruit resides in the fruit after the owner’s death. Finally, let’s take a look at what lies ahead for Zoro. I believe that Zoro’s final nickname will change from “Pirate Hunter” to “En-ou” (pronounced En-no). Actually, there is a character whose nickname includes the name of the afterlife. It is Rayleigh. In the English translation, the nickname of Rayleigh is “Dark King.” However, in Japanese, it’s “Mei-ou” which means King of the Underworld. So, while Zoro is the King of Hell, Rayleigh is the King of the Underworld. Therefore, just as Zoro’s sword is named after the King of Hell “Enma,” Rayleigh’s sword might be named after the Greek god of the underworld, “Hades.”
Now we wait for chapter 1111. I believe this chapter will focus on Zoro. His birthday is November 11, and his bounty includes four 1’s in a row. In Japanese, the sequence of identical numbers is called “Zoro-me”. Currently, Zoro is fighting Lucci. So we might see the conclusion of that battle.

Can i get a summary of this
sure thing, i can basically summarize the entire thing in a few sentences lol
theres implications of zoros connections with the king of hell in traditional mythology because of his blade “enma” and based on some cover pages that resemble the sanzu river which in japanese mythology is a boundary between the living world and the underworld, zoro seems to be depicted as a character likely to receive the same treatment as other characters that were drawn in those covers (garp and kuma) hence the theory that zoro might experience a near death experience
thats about the shortest i can get, its way more detailed in the long thread of paragraphs i sent
Ahhh i see
totally
sweet theory but it would be really funny if the form enma takes looks like one of these idiots
the one piece is real
Some One Piece (devil fruit) abilities related thoughts regarding abilities coming up when Law faces Blackbeard:
warping (maybe the sniper was imprisoned for the longest? or what place would make people most want to get out of there)
body changes (overcome with Haki, or will-power supposedly, and more generally so, too, and both in infectious manner, maybe morale related), diseases, exploding apples(?)
strength; Burgess looks like a gladiator, so his desire for strength may come from fights at the colosseum
extremely sensitive hearing for the snowbear
spitting water like a cannon (without devil fruit); I guess it comes from not wanting to drown/suffocate and so the lung also can stretch far
fast swimming (they come from the cold north, so desires would be related to the cold sea and its dangers); I guess from being able to get out of the cold water as fast as possible (but isn't there 2 of them with that ability?), and more-so than anyone else
memory editing; I guess blackbeard wants her to extract law's crew's memories for any red poneglyph info to obtain that way... and law has indeed seen kaido's red poneglyph, but it shouldn't matter...
turning into a pegasus, probably legend/myth related
body-hardening (against bullets)
^> and where's blackbeard's moonwalking michael jackson? Or maybe he's the horse? It could make sense if he developed the strongest desire for the most elegant dancing; horses (or rather horse riding, horse jumps over hurdles) are prime examples in competitions that are about elegance and footwork, and a flying horse would allow to push that skill to the top
^> oh and I guess the marine instantly knows about it due to that bird folks conspiracy sharing intel, so the pegasus guy may be part of those
I guess for the kind of character taken/picked for Luffy (namely Tarzan), it makes sense that Tarzan was taken, because if one were to try to think of what kind of situation, environment would drive someone the strongest to want to make friends (with other people, let's say), then being out alone in the wild (or stranded alone on an island, and maybe that could also explain why Luffy appears in the very 1st episode by jumping out of a barrel, possibly having wanted to get off a lone island) seems to be a fitting environment to cause that. And that Luffy's intention is making friends is clear.
Looks like bad future Zoro lol
So yeah, my "theory of everything" does seem quite capable of reconstructing a lot of the content.
Though I guess another reason that Luffy would have going for him for having been the most lonely person would be that his father is among the revolutionaries while his grandfather is on the opposite side, the marines, and so... who wants to be friend with or associated with someone where if you do that, you'll have enemies either way. Though that'd presuppose that people in Luffy's childhood nearby would be aware of who his father is, but since he lived with his grandfather, he probably was in a place among the marines where his father would be infamously known among them, so that condition can be satisfied, and it may also explain why or his loneliness could also be further explained by him not having grown up with his mom, but with that woman part of mountain bandits outside society, fitting to him having been in an environment that'd made him predestined for loneliness, with Oda using that to set Luffy as character up to develop that ability, but the part that doesn't seem to fit is that Luffy seems to have by accident eaten the devil fruit and not one that came into existence due to himself, but maybe the intention there was to have it be chance where technically someone else had developed an even stronger desire for friendship, and so normally that may mean that it'd be impossible for someone so young to obtain that kind of power even if they're like the 2nd most friendship out of loneliness desiring person, and so by this chance, for luffy getting that ability even earlier in life, that could resemble the major advantage he has over others. Also, with Luffy's backstory being about loneliness, that'd make him be part of the "outcasts" like Franky and Brook and Robin, which as topic they talk about when they meet Brook.
I wonder... if Lily may be Luffy's mother (at least they'd already have similarity in their names), and if it isn't in regard to Hancock or so at the time when Imu rips apart Luffy's wanted poster (alongside that of blackbeard) in the butterfly garden, I could imagine that it may be over Lily having rejected Imu over or in favor of Dragon, Luffy's father, and so as child of those 2, Imu may be seeking revenge on Dragon indirectly by also directing his hate toward Luffy, besides making the marine hunt for the revolutionaries, and so if Lily is Luffy's mother, then that could be a connecting puzzle piece, and be just 1 additional assumption needed to connect all that plausibly, and I mean Luffy's family already consists of wildly to the general plot critical characters, so a few more wouldn't seem to make it that much more absurd. It'd also mean that as eventual opponent, Imu to Luffy wouldn't just be any random unknown person he has no ties with, which could be more boring than if in the plot there'd be some drama like that involved.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/ajvlh2/theory_after_rewatching_amazon_lily/
Luffy's mother is one of the former Pirate Empresses from Amazon Lily
I mean the fact that this exists almost is equivalent to a confirmation of my hypothesis above, I'd say. That it has that name at all is already suspicious, and it'd make more sense for Kuma's decision to have teleported Luffy there in isolation in the first place, if Kuma knew a whole lot about Luffy's relation with Dragon etc., which Kuma as former member of the revolutionaries should do; he teleported the strawhats to especially favorable islands so that they could improve in character or meet/learn about the right people, make the right connections (including Zoro meeting Mihawk that way, and Nami those weather forecasters on the clouds).
TLDR: Luffy’s mom is a former Pirate Empress from Amazon Lily
I'd go even further and say Luffy's mom is Lily, the person the arc and place is named after.
“Love is a Hurricane! Hancock in Love”, Elder Nyon shares a quote with us that comes from the east blue stating “There is a saying around the east blue that Love.........IS A HURRICANE!!!!!”
That would relate them to the wind ability possessing Dragon, also; it seems like a subtly placed reference.

I swear it must be not only "from there", but literally the same Lily that Imu mentions, and apparently no one has connected those 2 things yet(?)
I guess one could find more out about Imu or his past by figuring out what kind of environment or (especially cliche) factors would produce "the most emo guy" (because these things ought to be what Oda should have had to go through, find out by himself for content to present for that character or the char's development, history).
This is a good one, I generally don't like to think that random cover stories are hints in the overall story but three of them makes a pattern in my opinion
absolutely. although do think to an extent that most cover pages are foreshadows and resemblances of some scenarios in the story, whether it be planned or currently happening. I choose not to disregard it most of the time
shusui lowkey kinda looks like shirano from monsters
so many clickbait videos on youtube about one piece theories
totally. can't make a video without a cringe thumbnail either
you folks ignoring me on the Lily <-> Luffy theory etc.? I thought you cared about reasonable theories here.
@here
pretty well thought out theory although i think its highly unlikely imus a male
imma expand a lil more when im off
Theory crafting videos are wild. I only watch dawn & dusk since Japanese is their first language. Even they have some outlandish theories, and a little clickbait. But he does present great evidence 9/10
Is it possible that BB makes it to laugh tale first Or simultaneously and Luffy and he almost have a race to beat Imu?
ok, but it better has good evidence or clues on that. It'd surprise me.
I expect them to reach raftel i.e. Reverse Mountain about simultaneously for their showdown match
the issue with Imu may be sorted out before that or after... not sure
don't need to know japanese to make a whole lot of deep deductions
Guys I know shanks is snitch to the gouvernement
He was waiting for luffy to awaken his devil fruit in order to reach thé one piece
yes, absolutely
in regard to the relationship between sanji and zoro, so that they'd be prepared for fighting king and queen later
Thank you for tuning it! As always, I hope you enjoy!

this has nothing to do with 1106 but i still want to talk about it real quick. So ashuras (three headed demons) has ben established in one piece (zoro ashura). What if black beards jolly roger (flag with three skulls) forsadows that black beard actually IS an ashura
tell me your thoughts
or mayby that hes a hybrid of an ashura since he only has one head
ashura race would lowkey be fire
Will we see Enel return?
Blackbeard pirates are not living their own adventure as Luffy and the strawhats. They are always following others to take advantage and steal fruits, other stuff, info, kill dying enemies, etc. This rewards them in the near future, but I guess they will pay at some point not having had their own adventure.
hmm, well since many of them are devil-fruit users, the probability of them "breaking apart" should be higher because the former implies many of them are/represent the peak of distinct desires, which could in some situations run against each other. Let's see for which ones that may happen... though for some of the characters of blackbeard's crew, their desires are very narrow, specific, not broadly applicable, which helps compatibility between them but also could limit their motivation towards broader goals and so that may rely on blackbeard pulling everyone else with him, since he with his everything encompassing greed would have a desire that'd make him "go out there". But for the others, the gladiator it should be (fighting) strength, becoming the strongest in similar manner as Zoro I guess, or most comparable there, and so since that's competitive, his goals should also not be reachable if he'd just stay on 1 island, so he'd have an internal drive to come with blackbeard and I don't see how greed of 1 person may clash with becoming the person with the strongest physique (unless blackbeard would want his strength, too, but then in devil fruit form, since he likely wants materialistic goods rather than having ideological goals). For the horse, the guy should be wanting to be the greatest kind of dancer, which is a rather niche goal. The 1 person I'd see most likely clashing with blackbeard would be the warping sniper, because his warping ability should indicate that he wants freedom or a desire for escaping, and blackbeard's greed (and his devouring black hole ability) may make him rob that from the sniper. Though blackbeard also has whitebeard's ability and possibly that additional desire of conservatism now, too. If he takes Law's ability, too, then that may become more incompatible with the rest of his crew or even himself. Wanting for things to be intact, in order can clash with accumulation of all in 1 place or person. Am not sure about the disease guy.
They are also 100% devil fruit based. The clear yang to red hair pirates yin. Straw hats have balance in more ways than one, fruits/haki/determination/experience etc
Buggy being the only dfruit we know of in rogers crew is interesting to compare
I HAVE A THEORY. but it kinda contains 🚨SPOILERS 🚨 and some of it is manga spoilers so if your only caught up to show don’t read ahead. Theory time 🥰🥰🥰 it’s pretty obvious that joyboy had the nika fruit by just reading off the narrative but I think something else. I think joyboy is sungod nika. My theory is that the god granted everyone in the world freedom and after that they wanted him to b the ruler of the world. Je took a liking to a mortal Nefertari d Lili and had 19 kids. Joyboy decided to create the grand line and the red line to slit the work and then granted those 20 (wife and kids) the countrys. He gave Alabasta to Lili and the rest to the rest. However, his kids got a bit too cocky and tried to overthrow their father. In the end, it was a tie but joyboy and Vivi went off and had baby’s who are the d clan. The baby’s of the celestial dragons are also celestial dragons and that is why they are enimies. I don’t think the final war is going to be a pirate war, I think it’s going to first be pirates and revolutionary’s against work government (celestial dragons) and after that it will be taking sides with Luffy and Blackbeard and maybe shanks. Another big party will be the revs
I know this is a day late but it’s also probably gonna be important for when Luffy figures out that his powers are limited by his mindset. If u don’t understand watch this https://youtube.com/shorts/zAPm0JP92Hg?si=hZJWqR3IQlHwqJ6S
hm?
I mean I think I understand the special powers very well by now. Not quite the haki and "supreme king/conquerer colours" or specific clear conditions for abilities to awaken (if there is such), but other than that pretty well. But I'll see
Je took a liking to a mortal Nefertari d Lili and had 19 kids.
I doubt that.
It’s a tad bit wild
if they were all kids of the same people, they'd all have to look somewhat similar to each other at least
Actually, I think both what ceasar clown gave the kids at punk hazard and what the marine gives the kids from there as medicine probably is just a placebo, or could just be that, because I think there shouldn't be any way to turn people into giants in any (yet further additional) separate manner than by strong enough desires, and so that the experiments (of creating giants for the marine) failed with the kids (at least partially) should just mean that to grow large never was any genuine real desire any of them had, and the fact that they did grow to some extent could just come from them having wanted and tried really hard to become giants but to make the experiments on them end.
However, if the marine is trying to achieve this in that way (which I'm not quite sure if that was implied in the episodes, but could be), then that'd seem to imply smth big, namely that they haven't quite figured out how those special abilities come into existence...
Ya know how big mom and kaido died by that lava
what if blackbeard ate their devil fruits
that would be crazy
@pure raven why yo name like that
not a bad point, but to be able to do so, he'd needed fruits nearby and have the strongest desires associated to their personalities, which would be world oppression/dominance and being cared for and served like a crybaby.
However, I actually think there's a logical inconsistency or mistake in how blackbeard was able to obtain whitebeard's power, or if it isn't that, then for it to still work out, I think a very subtle difference must then exist between devil-fruits created by blackbeard's greed as desire for everything material (which should also be the reason why he carries around so many shiny rings with gems), and devil-fruits that come from desires to which the expression of physical abilities aren't as directly clearly linked in a manner that one could recognize immediately what the desire was, just based on seeing the ability. Namely for blackbeard to have been able to force whitebeard's ability's devil-fruit spawn - unless I'm getting the underlying desire whitebeard had very wrong (but even then, if it wasn't conservatism or smth close to it, it likely wasn't about smth material, which should be what blackbeard's greed is restricted to) - he should've needed to develop the strongest desire for conservatism in some sense at the time (and while maybe having to be close to whitebeard). And so if devil-fruits have to respawn immediately if a condition is met, it apparently cannot just be due someone existing with sufficient desire that lead to the ability it carries but also someone with strong enough desire just for the kind of fruit with such ability in itself. And so once others' non-material desires create physical objects with powers related to those, that's when blackbeard's materialistic greed would get access to these special fruits and is able to create them that way. And the reason then for why he doesn't die is that the desire condition for the fruit would just be a subset of a general materialistic greed, just specified to the individual fruit.
However, this might then also mean that blackbeard cannot ever eat another devil-fruit anymore, because then the set of all of his to-be-strongest desires wouldn't have this subset structure anymore, because while desiring any other devil-fruit strong enough by his general materialistic greed could still make it spawn and would be reasonably compatible with that (though technically it'd still be an extension, an add-on to the specified desire, which then maybe should generally be allowed for other devil-fruits' desires, too, or for none, unless additional desires part of a strongest desire maybe are close enough to the base desire), it'd not be compatible with the to the previously eaten devil-fruit's to it specific desire for/toward it rather than for any other devil-fruit (unless the specified desire doesn't determine the fruit's ability, which it should, but then all by blackbeard's general greed created devil-fruits should have the same power they carry, and would have to magically/coincidentally be whitebeard's power), unless if maybe his desire individually for both or all in this way acquired fruits were stronger than that of any other person for either of them at the time of consumption.
Actually it does make sense also that blackbeard as most greedy character emerged on whitebeard's ship as low or maybe lowest member, being so close to someone that basically dominated the sea and to whom so much belonged or was subordinate to, so that blackbeard would develop the strongest envy and then greed from that I suppose, to be like whitebeard, or in his position rather, which would also explain why he'd want to get his power.
And (in the alternate case) for blackbeard to develop a strongest desire alike conservatism, that seems like it necessarily contradicts or conflicts with him keeping up his strongest greed as desire that gave rise to his 1st ability.
So... intriguingly, the fact then that blackbeard was able to create a devil-fruit of fixed power type but via the means of a different (from the original) strongest kind of desire (namely for a fruit with that power carried in it, rather than smth like conservatism), now since (or if) devil-fruits respawn once their users die, if blackbeard were to die, then if someone with strong enough desire specifically for the tremor-tremor fruit exists, the fruit should spawn near them, but at the same time, even now already, before blackbeard's dead, it should be possible for whitebeard's devil-fruit to spawn a 2nd time but again based on the original kind of desire that was and should still be needed and sufficient for creating it. And so then it should be possible this way for the same power to exist alongside each other multiple times, or at least twice. And so from a long-term devil-fruit respawning perspective, by what blackbeard is doing, he's essentially creating copy devil-fruits for future folks to mess/deal with (as long as someone like Imu stays around, supposedly).
However, this would then also be rather a big deal because blackbeard that way would then have proven that one could create a given devil-fruit (or rather a fruit with the same power, technically not quite the same) in an alternate manner in general, namely also with sufficiently strong desire specifically for a fruit with that power, which should also allow making that wish be granted. And this rule should then apply all the time throughout the world of One Piece. However, to the extent to which specific desires for materialistic goods falls within the category of blackbeard's materialistic greed, creating them that way may be impossible as long as he lives, but as soon as he were gone and no one else were to either via devil-fruit or genuinely develop a strong enough general materialistic greed, the creation of devil-fruits with powers by specific "targeted" desire towards them should be "on the table" again (while otherwise it should be restricted to only blackbeard being able to do that).
And I wonder if Oda is aware of this oddity or glitch; I think he may not be.
I suppose the only other conceivable scenario in how blackbeard (namely not via the "middleman/middle-object" of a fruit) could've obtained other devil fruit users' powers, which though would run into multiple different contradictions, would be to absorb other devil fruit users (material) bodies into himself via the black hole power, but then (i) whitebeard should've been gone after blackbeard obtained his fruit (which isn't the case https://youtu.be/NYUVMwNPpGI?t=54 ), and (ii) he should've died once absorbing whitebeard or his original fruit (even if it'd just consist in terms of molecules spread across whitebeard's body and required for all of them to be taken out) because of the to this original tremor-ability fruit associated required strongest desire, with that being smth like conservatism, which already just by being different is in conflict with greed being the person's strongest desire.
And I also think it's not a coincidence but intentional design choice that blackbeard is missing some teeth, because having historically lacked more physical goods (even own body parts) should've aided fueling the desire of greed in blackbeard that was the initial requirement for him to get his power, to "out-greed" everyone else.
who let this man cook
When were we ever told that devil fruits reappear closest to the person who has the same desires as the fruit has? And how does conservationism anything to do with earthquakes?
I know we were told by Vegapunk that devilfruits first appeared from the hopes and dreams of people, but that doesn't explain why when the giant slime axolotl on punkhazard died, the devilfruit reappeared in a basket of apples that was left behind
the better question is: who wouldn't?
Pretty sure we've been told that devilfruits just pick a random fruit when the user dies, but I could remember wrong. And I think that how BB got the quake fruit is something Oda will explain next time we see BB fights someone or steals another fruit
Axolotl fruit at punk hazard, the huge blob is the worst treated kid experiment "gone wrong" in attempt to become a giant.
If you want to know how the devil fruit powers precisely work, you can find an elaborate explanation with several examples here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceSpoilers/comments/19f5b5y/theory_of_everything_for_how_to_derive_how_the/
And how does conservationism anything to do with earthquakes?
That is a fair question actually, but Whitebeard as character literally represents the stereotype (in terms of look, behavior, equipment with a halberd) of a person part of the so-called "old guard". He's even so much of a guard in character that even when he died, he didn't fall over but kept standing there like a guard.
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/old_guard
old guard (plural old guards)
A (comparatively) **conservative**, reactionary faction that is more **unwilling to accept new ideas than their peers are**. Collectively, the members of a team who have been a long time in a place.
And for whitebeard to have as strongest passion, desire, or character trait the wish to keep things as they were (which makes sense for someone in his position, or for someone in his position to develop this desire, given that the way things were, it'd mean he'd stay basically at the top among the pirates to rule or control the sea), it also makes then sense that Roger who had a great plan (namely to set out many new pirates to the sea to massively change the world, inducing the rush for the one piece etc.) prior to his new idea had to meet whitebeard on that island where we can see them fighting at some point during the arc at Wa No Kuni where Kaido was fought.
Roger had to talk to whitebeard to "give him" Oden to help him because of a revolutionary idea he wanted to use to change the whole world, and that means he either would have to fight the most conservative guy or talk him over.
I know we were told by Vegapunk that devilfruits first appeared from the hopes and dreams of people
Well, yes and no, it is true only because of people being in general (even without devil fruits) able to obtain powers (like Zoro, Jinbe, arguably also Sanji, and others, maybe even including Brook), and among those is Imu who naturally developed a very special power (according to my theory that so far allowed to explain all kinds of stuff precisely) which specifically involved the creation of the devil-fruits which would make it easier for people to gain special powers.
And if you want to know that theory about Imu in more detail, I'll put it up in a bit:
Here's a detailed analysis for logically deriving Imu's ability:
I suppose one could describe Imu's emotional pain as "something eating him from the inside", to this way get a connection to passion fruits, because his ability is meant to help his desire, and so if it feels like something is eating him inside, the ability is about creating something to eat to satisfy the feeling of emptiness that comes from being eaten on the inside, and regarding all the available candidate foods, the ability likely would choose something or be something that fits to such a person, and because passion fruits aren't only delicasies but also in the description of their naming are fruits "that serve themselves" (rather than eating itself, so maybe as cure for things that eat itself), the ability would be about the creation of passion fruits, but his ability doesn't stop there because that would only help the symptom of feeling empty inside, but wouldn't cure the cause of feeling empty inside, which comes from his desire, and so his ability creates fruits that can also address this desire, turning the passion fruits into devil fruits that are created whenever there is someone with strong enough desire so that the desire hurts them inside and in such a way that the created devil fruit is provided with a specifically to this desire suited means for curing it by with the powers that they carry. And so Imu's ability allows to cure others' internal desire-based pains.
However, the tragic irony in all of this is that while Imu has the ability to cure everyone else's desires if they are uniquely strong enough, he's unable to at least eat (or maybe also create) a devil fruit that he could eat in order to cure his desire without losing his desire, because (i) Imu already has a strongest desire for which the associated ability happens to not cure the cause of the desire based on all other potentially present abilities besides the one to create devil fruits, so that eating a devil fruit that'd give someone the same abilities as the ones he already has would change nothing (besides additionally making them unable to swim or be weak when they touch sea prism stone, I guess) and if he were to eat a devil fruit that'd change the desire that he has, then that'd make him lose his former strongest established desire which was the necessary condition for devil fruits to exist in the first place, and then either he could have a new desire and just all devil fruits out there are gone, or all people's abilities that come from devil fruits would be gone as well, which then means that if he'd eat any other devil fruit, its effect would be undone immediately and he'd (presumably) be back to the personality he had prior to that, changing nothing, and so the only other option he'd have would seem to be to by his own genuine natural (rather than unnatural, by devil fruits caused) means let go of his desire being such outstandingly strong, but he probably just doesn't want to let go or cannot.
And even if he could, then for as long as there simultaneously were to also exist other people that technically fulfill the condition of having sufficiently strong desire for the same kind of thing that Imu desires (but just not more so than Imu) such that they could otherwise instead obtain his abilities, 1 of them would be gaining his powers (which in the process of that power transfer may either preserve all existing devil fruits and possibly also all devil fruit users' abilities, or the devil fruits and maybe also people's special abilities may be undone and new devil fruits may have to come into existence at first again).
But I wonder about how fine-tuned of a control Imu may have over his (genuine passion based) ability, in particular if he can take away any individual devil fruit, undoing the transformation of a fruit into a devil fruit (and if so, at what distances), which he though probably either cannot do in general (maybe due to it being against the generalization of his desire) or he may be unable to do it with precision and with lack of precision could come a risk in accidentally undoing the transformation of a wrong devil fruit located far far away from him. Or he might even be able to take away the devil fruit powers of people that ate a devil fruit (though then also possibly only so if they are close enough to Imu), which would also help his leverage over the marine. And maybe he can determine for which set of desires devil fruits can at all be formed, but he likely cannot have too much control over it (or would for other reasons have to otherwise not choose to use it), since in collaboration with the marine and all the information they can provide to him about pirates and their abilities and what they are doing, or generally any adversaries to Imu's will, he could just remove the powers of adversaries, and the marine would be far more effective and not be struggling as much as it does.
(and for why Imu would have that desire in the first place, there's multiple pieces of evidence for it, namely for Imu being an emo)
Those evidences would be the iroquoise haircut which so-called emos tend to have, are associated with, and in Imu's case (besides the name being similar obviously), for him to be the 1 emo person among all that may be out there to be chosen to be able to develop this unique ability, (just like Zoro is the only one able to develop such sword mastery and strength, or how just Jinbe being able to control water currents) Imu would have to be the "most emotional emo of them all", and I think that is hinted at by his iroquoise hair-cut being extremely tall (basically as if the taller the haircut, the more of an emo one is). And then, emos tend to focus on romantic topics, and for Imu that seems to be centered around Lily, and Imu is also out in a garden full with butterflies that Oda chose to design or draw as scenery to place Imu in, and butterflies also come up in context of romance or beautiful women ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_Lovers ). Imu may also not only have so far been drawn so dark/black to keep him unknown but also because emos tend to wear black clothes. And for why people with strong enough desires, passions would in the first place develop such abilities, that'd be the general underlying additional law of nature existing in one piece that allows explaining basically every devil-fruit user's ability which is a physical reflection or representation of their most pronounced character trait or desire.
The Butterfly Lovers is a Chinese legend centered around the tragic romance between Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英臺), whose names form the Chinese title of the story. The title is often abbreviated as Liang Zhu (梁祝).
The story was selected as one of China's Four Great Folktales by the "Folklore Movement" in the 1920s—the others being the...
And here'd be even more of a very plausible theory in regard to Imu's connections with Dragon, Lily, Luffy:
I wonder... if Lily may be Luffy's mother (at least they'd already have similarity in their names), and if it isn't in regard to Hancock or so at the time when Imu rips apart Luffy's wanted poster (alongside that of blackbeard) in the butterfly garden, I could imagine that it may be over Lily having rejected Imu over or in favor of Dragon, Luffy's father, and so as child of those 2, Imu may be seeking revenge on Dragon indirectly by also directing his hate toward Luffy, besides making the marine hunt for the revolutionaries, and so if Lily is Luffy's mother, then that could be a connecting puzzle piece, and be just 1 additional assumption needed to connect all that plausibly, and I mean Luffy's family already consists of wildly to the general plot critical characters, so a few more wouldn't seem to make it that much more absurd.

I guess one could find more out about Imu or his past by figuring out what kind of environment or (especially cliche) factors would produce "the most emo guy" (because these things ought to be what Oda should have had to go through, find out by himself for content to present for that character or the char's development, history).
but that doesn't explain why when the giant slime axolotl on punkhazard died
It (or rather he or she) didn't die. You see, this kid had been so much tortured and turned into this disabled blob by ceasar clown's experiments that at that point after being free (whereas before that point, the kid's desire may have been more split between wanting its body to be regenerated or normal again and on the other side to be not locked into the cave anymore) it developed such strong of a desire for being turned back how they were that that fruit nearby turned into the axolotl fruit.
Pretty sure we've been told that devilfruits just pick a random fruit when the user dies
blackbeard's trick couldn't have reliably worked then.
And I think that how BB got the quake fruit is something Oda will explain next time we see BB fights someone or steals another fruit
I already figured that out among dozens of other deep lore and plot aspects of which several can be found in the backlog above in long passages 📚, including that Reverse Mountain is Raftel and was flipped over by Trafalgar Law which is why the rivers there flow upward (and may be why blackbeard fights him, either by knowing smth, or by Oda wanting that coincidentally fitting event to happen).
we still havent't really seen what black beard did tho... and he also acted right after whitebeard died with little to no time delay.
i mean for all we know he waited unter the blanket with an apple in his hand
blackbeard's power is derived from and associated to his insaturable materialistic greed, represented by a black hole with its power to pull in any material.
dont get me wrong i like ur theory more. but its tooo circumstancial
and im pretty sure it has something to do with the knife he used. didnt burgeas try to get luffy with it in dress rosa?
And due to his greed being the strongest desire of that kind, when whitebeard dies, since devil fruits (per imu's ability) respawning right away under the condition that there is someone with sufficient desire of the kind that'd create the given devil-fruit, or for a desire strong enough and targeted specifically towards wanting such fruit (which it'd only be the case in blackbeard's materialistic greed), that's how blackbeard can force it to appear next to him.
I can explain like 2 or 3 dozen other devil-fruit users all with this same 1 principle for the logic behind it, btw. (the majority is up in the backlog and the normal people that have been in here seem to not have noticed or cared, probably didn't read it because it's so much information, but yeah)
https://youtu.be/DB-MDC6i1oA?t=396
However, to quickly get back to the axolotl fruit, seeing the scene again and because I wanted to check if maybe the axolotl monster actually did die, which now I think is very likely, then I have to adjust the explanation somewhat, but it stays "in logic": So the kid in the cave must already at some point in the past have developed genuinely, naturally a sufficiently strong (and strongest compared to all others) desire for wanting its body to be fixed again, not ill anymore from the Mengele-like experiments. And so that's why it already was an axolotl monster. And now, when it died, likely by succumbing to how badly it was treated, the devil-fruit would instantly spawn as long as someone existed with sufficient desire for it, and if there's multiple candidates, then the closest is picked, and because there were still plenty other kids like it, surely 1 of those was the one with next strongest desire and was close and so it spawned on the same island.

and im pretty sure it has something to do with the knife he used.
I suppose then that that's how blackbeard "gave whitebeard the final blow" so he'd actually die; determining the point in time of death of whitebeard.
didnt burgeas try to get luffy with it in dress rosa?
Oh, if that's the case then that should mean that blackbeard is also after Luffy's ability (understandbly, given how powerful it is).
Just checked to be sure, the slime (or Smiley as it's called) is just compressed poisones gass which Ceaser used the devilfruit on
kinda like Spandems sword which had the elefant fruit, or the bazooka dog on Alabasta
based on my theory then, Kizaru is the most narcissistic person (ego is as high up as the sun, has arrogant behavior and grimaces), and Issho should be essentially the polar opposite of him, namely with strongest personality trait or desire being related to selfless-ness, putting his own authority as low as possible beneath others, represented by the center of earth reflecting his ability by manipulation of gravitation, and indicated by him being so self-less or lacking of authority that he allows for dice rolls and external events to determine his decisions, also with gambling, and him being blind means he has to rather crawl next to people, and is "lower, beneath them", deliberately chosen as design for the character.
And him being blind also likely means that since eyes symbolize people's own will, soul, he's selfless more than anyone else, and so he's blind.
(again, many more chars can be explained this way, but it's sometimes more and sometimes far from obvious what their strongest trait or desire, passion is, based on how it's physically represented because of metaphors and common phrases being used by Oda surely for determining what it'll be in the given case, as far as I can tell, at least)
It must be 1 of the kids, I'm sure.
kinda like Spandems sword which had the elefant fruit, or the bazooka dog on Alabasta
okay maybe at most 1 of those most extreme weird cases, but that's about it. Bec yeah, the literally only 2 cases so far iirc that I cannot explain this way is the saber-elephant and the gun-dog. but even for the saber, at least in japanese mythology, swords etc. have "their makers' souls, wishes/wills" in them that they carry on, so there I could still somewhat see it.
dude, we have three different cases of inanimate objects being given zoan fruits, and then they become animated. We've even been told that Vegapunk was the one to develope the tech to do so
when why only zoans? Because they have their own desires as told to us by the Gorosei
Ohh, well okay then maybe it's another case alike Imu's, where on its own, naturally, it hadn't been possible but only by being enabled via another devil-fruit users' power (or someone genuinely having developed a power).
when why only zoans?
idk, might be a restriction based on some devil-fruit user, probably someone at Egghead island(?)
Dragon is "the wind of change"; Roger's son has the revolutionary spirit in him, carries that change on, represented by fire symbolizing that spirit. Luffy should be about friendship (was like tarzan, left alone in the wild, and is the son of dragon with grandpa on the complete other side and no one wants to be friends with someone like that where one will inevitably make enemies on 1 side, and luffy didn't grow up with his mother - likely Lily, who Imu is so much after, and is likely why he rips Luffy's poster apart bec he's the son of Lily and Dragon the competitor of Imu regarding Lily (I think) - and luffy grew up at some outlaw bandits.
Ussop should be about courage, bravery. Zoro character strength. Jinbe respect between species/races. Nami commonwealth (the sharks at her island are loan-sharks, representing them). Brook wanted the most to live longer (immortality) to be able to meet that whale (whales also live long, should be in context of long lifespan).
Franky should be about ingenuity, engineering, innovation or so. Sanji is desiring love most (he says love all the time to all the women), and "love goes through the stomach" should be the phrase in this case that Oda used to make him a cook and base his attacks off of that.
Chopper I think has as deepest desire humanity, and I mean the character trait humanity, which is why he becomes a doctor, and is I guess why chopper also served as that santa's reindeer.
Humanity is a virtue linked with altruistic ethics derived from the human condition. It signifies human love and compassion towards each other. Humanity differs from mere justice in that there is a level of altruism towards individuals included in humanity more so than in the fairness found in justice.
Robin can spawn her body parts everywhere bec... well if one goes far back to the beginnings, she mainly used that for her eyes and ears, because she's desiring knowledge about history, the past, archeology etc., and so the ability she's meant to be enabled to do that better is one that allows her to place her sensory organs in all kinds of places (but then as things develop differently for the most part, she uses it for limbs and attacks).
I'm telling you, I could go through a long list of more characters but it'd take a while and it's in the backlogs way up. I guess if interesed in specific chars, if I have analyzed them already (which I only did recently, like 1 or 2 weeks ago I started), I can put up what I got theorized.
for luffy, friendship is like a bond that can stretch further and further to encompass everyone -> gum gum.
so Imu should be the most emo guy, bec of the char design choice (among other things) that he has the tallest iroquois hair-style.
When Luffy tells his crew what his goal is, why he wants to be the pirate king, Chopper is super happy (as personification of the trait humanity) surely bec Luffy wants to help people, give them smth, bring them together.
Personally I'd say if one has 1 principle that allows deriving just about anything, chances are it's on point.
Two things: 1. what does being emo have anything to do with the iroguois. And 2. Imu has a long straight hair, which is a VERY common hair style, so saying that it is an iroquoisan hair style is kinda strange
Iroquois, any member of the North American Indian tribes speaking a language of the Iroquoian family—notably the Cayuga, Cherokee, Huron, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora.
Oh, no, not them but the hair-style that happens (probably in relation to them) to be also called iroquois hair-style:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohawk_hairstyle
The mohawk is also sometimes referred to as an iro in reference to the Iroquois (who include the Mohawk people), from whom the hairstyle is supposedly derived – though historically the hair was plucked out rather than shaved.
It's common among emo-like people (surely google images search can confirm that)
And 2. Imu has a long straight hair, which is a VERY common hair style, so saying that it is an iroquoisan hair style is kinda strange
yes, but there's indication that he is also a so-called butterfly-lover (butterfly garden, and desire for Lily). Butterfly-lover doesn't mean he loves butterflies but is a romantic person, is deeply into emotions, feelings etc.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_Lovers
The Butterfly Lovers is a Chinese legend centered around the tragic romance between Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英臺), whose names form the Chinese title of the story. The title is often abbreviated as Liang Zhu (梁祝).

The devil-fruits should lore-wise be passion fruits (except taken more literally as passion-inducing fruits upon the consumption of which, people develop strong passions/desires, too, but they aren't a necessity for strong desires to be developed to gain abilities):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passion_fruit_(fruit)
The Portuguese maracujá and Spanish maracuyá are both derived from the Tupi mara kuya "fruit that serves itself" or "food in a cuia".
Passion fruits are round or oval, and range from a width of 1.5 to 3 inches (3.81 to 7.62 centimeters).[1] They can be yellow, red, purple, and green great colours.[1]
I've been elaborating on more and more details on this theory here but the people only ignored it or downplayed it as "who let this guy cook (again)"; been waiting for someone more interested, taking it more seriously, though I plan to put up some reddit posts summarizing a lot of stuff, too.
Emos can be so heartbroken over a broken relationship that it hurts them really badly internally (it's an emotion I've also felt once, it was unusual, didn't even know the body can do that, it's an intense chest pain).
His ability to create delicious passion fruits surely is meant as help or cure for that.
But on top of that, for it to not only help curing the sympton but also address the cause, it 1. spawns as fruit for anyone that generally has a strong enough desire so that it maybe even hurts them down to their core, and 2. it allows them to develop abilities upon consumption that help them achieve what they desire, to alleviate the reason for what they feel so badly or strongly about.
The only ironic exception must be Imu himself because if he'd eat it and it'd cure him from being so deeply heart-broken over Lily, he should lose his power due to the effects of his own power, but once he loses his desire that was the cause of the associated power, the effects of his power also are gone, and so he'd be back to normal, back to the start, and in that state he's simply again a person that's intensely heartbroken, and bec he'd be that way in the strongest manner, he'd get back his power.... so that guy's kind of in a stuck situation.
And he should only be at the top of the marine not bec of strength or so (the marine has tons of powerful devil fruit users), but for technical reasons, namely that if Imu is gone, chances are that all devil fruits are gone and probably all that gained powers by eating them lose theirs, too, which includes many admirals...
And so the marine seems forced to follow his every wish, which will be about things related to what he's heartbroken over, so Lily, Dragon who surely was the man that Lily chose, which is why he and by extension the marine is after the revolutionaries etc.
Actually I wonder... the telepathy communications that Luffy and others sometimes have might actually not be an own mechanic but be yet another product of some devil-fruit users power (or a genuinely/naturally obtained power), for someone that wanted creatures/people to be able to connect even if they cannot talk or communicate in other ways. I wonder what the most fitting creature for that would be, and what Oda picked, and if it/he/she will ever come up.
If you're talking about what they're been doing on Egghead, it's the headsets they got when they arrived on the island
Sorry I seen you mention inanimate objects getting devil fruits and uh fun fact idk if many of you knew this but van augur's sniper actually has a devil fruit as well, it has the Mato Mato no mi the target fruit the one that van decker had he threw axes and stuff 😂
No I mean like when Luffy was drowning after the Kaido fight and telepathically talked to Momonosuke.
I see, interesting. When I very recently actually watched this (https://youtu.be/x7j15cYn_Ho?si=cz-7nYddEiDPkYYR), I thought there was a similarity there between their 2 abilities, though I suppose it may not have to be the very same, because iirc Decken still prior to targeting had to at least once touch the target in the past.
I do not own one piece, this is for fan clip only
One piece episode 146
What does the sword symbolize in Japan?
The Japanese sword (nihontô) has traditions dating back thousands of years. A Samurai's sword represented his soul. The sword was the symbol of the Samurai class and a Samurai carried two of them, the long katana and the short wakisazhi, passed down from one generation to the next
Personally, I'd say that for the sniper gun to obtain this ability, it probably comes from an extension of this concept to other weapons, too, including that saber and the gun.
Oh, and Zoro's sword from Oden then, too. that must be part of it.
that's the voice of all things...
And probably the fire-cutting sword of that other guy with the orange clothes, and generally those myths about special swords etc.
yeah, I'm basically saying that its existence could be based on someone's strong enough desire to enable those people to do that when they desire it the most to be able to communicate with others, like when they're in most danger (like drowning Luffy was).
It should be a similar power as that which Imu has, then, so it'd draw a parallel to that.
it might possibly even be related to the communication snails. Snails would have a hard time getting anywhere to communicate, but other animals may be fitting candidates for developing the strongest desire for telepathic communication, too.
Yeah I think it's probably some kind of grand snail, basically the snail that has that desire the strongest and probably enabled this kind of ability for those that next-most would desire it, which makes sense that that'd be other snails mainly, just not quite as much as that 1 snail of which idk which it is or where or if it may even show up. So that explanation possibly could fit these things together.
I suppose that temporarily strongly enough developed desire probably was also the reason why Luffy in the Katakuri fight was able to look slightly into the future (but would lose that ability again in situations/fights where it didn't - by details in how the opponent maybe always knew luffy's attacks, could dodge them or so - push Luffy's desire for future prediction as much as in that case).
And maybe at Thriller Bark, when Luffy iirc takes in many shadows to turn into some kind of demon, this kind of deviation from the norm may also come from a secondary, in its type still free/unoccupied (i.e. no one else having permanently developed such desire strong enough to have such ability permanently) desire. The Hakis should also be the product of such. I guess the finger-pistol ability would come from cases where marines happened to run out of ammo or had no gun around when they got into a dangerous situation and desired strongly that they still only could fire (or be protected from gun-fire by hardening).
And I think for Haki to be accessible to many, even though it'd also be a desire-based ability, it then probably would have to come from there not existing any 1 person that permanently strongly enough has the desire to have a hardened, protected body, and so without that, it stays available to everyone at different times (or maybe even simultaneously). But I suppose as soon as that'd change, no one could use body hardening Haki anymore, and analogously for the finger-pistol or jumping in air or more generally attacking without contact, through the air (which is also how Luffy's Ryu ability worked at Kaido, I guess).
And I guess the telepathic communication was also enabled for Zunesha talking to Momonosuke, wondering about opening up Wa No Kuni or not, and Zunesha must have had a strong enough desire to communicate that, ask about it, without normally being able to do so. And this then probably also speaks for Zunesha being the one that specifically feels so strong about that because of Zunesha likely being the one that can open up Wa No Kuni, probably by breaking up the wall, which may be Pluton(?) not sure.
Oh and Crocus is the guy with the scar living on/in a "ship" that is black (laboon) that can cause whirlpools and is at raftel, i.e. reverse mountain which is at the end of the grand-line once one loops around.
Oh, I guess regarding the CP9's or some marines' ability to attack people without touching them, that probably comes from their desire through having fought Zoan(?) devil-fruit users many times, or typically they are the ones having to do so, which just cannot be touched really, so that they basically would be helpless against them, inducing strong enough desire in them to be able to do so. And that may also be where with different name the Ryu ability that Luffy uses comes from, though I guess there then also wouldn't be any person that permanently strongly enough desires being able to touch someone "untouchable" like that, probably because such fights in either case don't last all that long, even when they may be intense shortly, but if that were the case so that 1 person with permanent ability of that existed, then it'd be gone for all others, I guess.
And so given that the hardening and finger-pistol and attacking without touching seem to be still free/available abilities to have permanently if only one could develop a permanent sufficient desire for it, technically for anyone knowing how this ability mechanism works (blackbeard or marines or so maybe), technically there could be a strategy in trying to create an environment where someone would permanently have to be in and always strongly enough want to do either of these things to stay alive or so; I guess it may require someone near permanently being put into such stress situation for it.
hes on to something
zunesha can speak with luffy and momo because they have the ability to speak to animals
that has nothing to do with desire as noone else is able to do that even if they have a desire
I like this one
We need something that is just a coincidence and not fate in one piece
okay, happens between momo and luffy though, too, so is at least not strictly animal-related (though technically humans are animals, but then speaking with animals or at least few would be shared among all).
It'd specifically have to be an urgent strong desire for communication with someone far away so that just using speech wouldn't work, is what I'd think, but yeah.
oh, and here I thought I was just cooking up random garbage 😏
then he could've done so plenty times in the past
You have to make some galaxy brain leaps in logic to make the traitor "pirate hunter" zoro stuff work, while also completely ignoring everything he has said and done in private over the series
what if zoro is a traitor
appointed by marines
to kill luffy
But yes, believe it or not, in terms of the values or desires represented among the personalities in Luffy's crew (Friendship, Commonwealth, Humanity, Love, Ingenuity, History, Immortality, Equality, Bravery, and then Zoro's either being swordsman-ship mastery or smth like Integrity), if Zoro were to be merely about the desire for swordsman-ship mastery, then he should technically be the easiest to have his mind changed. And I'm also considering the possible interpretation that Zoro in theory might only have the kind of personality that he has for the reason to make him (stereotypically) fit well into the place of someone that'd most strive for swordsmanship, and so that can be a martial arts dojo, his character may inherit all the common traits to find among people there, without it necessarily being part of his core identity, so that if another kind of environment as reference existed that'd shape people towards becoming great swordsmen, and if they'd have very different mindsets on topics, contexts outside of that, Zoro could've ended up being different in character, too.
But given his name hinting at the inspiration for the character, his desire probably is to defend the weak against criminal, powerful corrupt folks.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zorro
Zorro (Spanish: [ˈsoro] or [ˈθoro], Spanish for 'fox') is a fictional character created in 1919 by American pulp writer Johnston McCulley, appearing in works set in the Pueblo of Los Angeles in Alta California.[1] He is typically portrayed as a dashing masked vigilante that defends the commoners and Indigenous peoples of California against corrupt and tyrannical officials and other villains. His signature all-black costume includes a cape, a hat known as a sombrero cordobés, and a mask covering the upper half of his face.
In the stories, Zorro has a high bounty on his head but is too skilled and cunning for the bumbling authorities to catch, and he also delights in publicly humiliating them. Because of this, the townspeople started calling him "El Zorro" because of his foxlike cunning and charm. Zorro is an acrobat and an expert in various weapons. Still, the one he employs most frequently is his rapier, which he often uses to carve the initial "Z" on his defeated foes, and other objects to "sign his work". He is also an accomplished rider, his trusty steed being a black horse called Tornado.
Do arc predictions fit the parameters of content allowed in this channel? The main channels are moving too fast to care so I was thinking of reposting it here.
@lime fern
I don’t want this to be the case, but blackbeard might end up being a buccaneer
there’s a book called blackbeard buccaneer by the author ralph d. paine. does that middle initial sound familiar? because it should.
cooking
i think he might just be related to xebec , or it being a reference to the D name.
xebec mainly cause of how the blackbeard pirates stated they wanted the world , something xebec also tried to do
sounds reasonable. Given Zoro's ambition, directly confronting injustice, outside of circumstantial differences, so overall speaking, of the strawhat crew he should be the highest at risk of dying.
with BB similarities to kuma, that being their designs, how multiple people have stated that both are built different, and Saturn just confirmed that he is part of a special lineage, most likely
yeah
but why are you against it?
The goals of the others aren't as confronting necessarily, or could at least delay confrontation (Friendship, Commonwealth, Humanity, Love, Ingenuity, History, Immortality, Equality, Bravery). At most Ussop's Bravery might run similar risks like that.
if he were a buccaneer i feel it wouldnt be so mysterious
I had a theory in the past that he would be related to rocks, and for some reason I thought that him being a buccaneer would deny that idea 😭
New one piece chapter, another zoro dies theory. Tale as old as time
I mean even if BB were related to Rocks and Rocks were to be revealed as not being a buccaneer, BBs other side of the family could be buccaneers
classic
I mean he may not have to die but it makes sense he'd get out of conflicts the worst, which commonly Zoro does, compared to the others when each of them have opponents to fight.
yeah, it’s just that him being pure bucc would probably make him an even bigger threat to the sh, especially if he were to understand his potential
Let's see what happens to Trafalgar Law I guess. He could put Zoro back together as the surgeon he is (or maybe Chopper).
Even if he is a buccaneer, unless the trait alluded to by vegapunk is particularly compelling I think his inability to sleep setting him up as the moon to luffys sun is more interesting
Ussop is the sun, the sogeking (with sun mask), the sun god, not luffy. "god ussop"
Plus the main thing we know about buccaneers right now aside from their verbally passed on mythos and heritage is that they have abnormally durable bodies. Bb has repeatedly been shown to be easily damaged
however... what actually does speak for Luffy is that Luffy represents Tarzan and Nika's shadow image in front of the sun does look Tarzan-like. But at the same time, Ussop has those other events speaking for him.
(And if you think Luffy representing Tarzan is some kind of joke, then you lack understanding of his character history)
ah, so like big mom and kaido
Could be a buccaneers body is the only one that can handle the pain of the darkness fruit
Peak piece this week
you might be onto something here
the darkness fruit is the combined product of Imu's general power allowing people's uniquely strong enough desires to turn normal fruits into devil fruits capable of aiding them to reach/help their desires, and blackbeard having had the desire to own the world (in a materialistic sense) more than anyone else, as lowly member of whitebeard's crew whose drastically different hierarchical position blackbeard was constantly exposed to, fueling his envy to become or get what whitebeard achieved (including whitebeard's very own power).
That at least is the best theory we currently have on this topic.
Buccaneer is just a pseudonym for pirate
people need to learn to not try to make crazy connections that aren't even needed the fact it was described as a lineage is pretty damn strong proof
Who was the guy again that was meant to get the gum gum fruit? Wasn't it 1 of Shanks' crew(?)
we don't know
we don't even know if it was going to be eaten or if shanks was gonna keep if
ok
So I've been thinking. If the BB pirate's goal was to have Devon tap and eventually imitate Saturn, then that begs the question : How did they know Saturn was going to be on Egghead ? We saw the BB ship before news broke of Egghead
So I am wondering if York was the one who told the BB pirates about Saturn. She was in contact with the Elders and she mentioned she had a contingency plan in place should the Elders backstab her. What if the BB pirates were her contingency plan ?
Thoughts?
It's a square rectangle thing. All buccaneers are pirates but not all pirates are buccaneers. Specifically, buccaneers were originally people who stole boats from ports before pirate and buccaneer started being used interchangeably
I know they didnt give any real details in the chapter but does anyone have an idea of what the lineage of teach might be?
Buccaneer probably
How did they know Saturn was going to be on Egghead ?
The horse guy is the moonwalker michael jackson guy and among multiple pirate groups, the 2nd highest ranked person seems to be someone that can fly, and there's a theory that they are an own group, possibly working together with the CP9 (that also have a communication pigeon) and are some intel group possibly led by that newspaper guy with the flying ship.
For that "michael jackson" being able to turn into a horse with wings should be because surely he desires being the best kind of elegant dancer, and horses in dressage represent mastery of that art (at least stereotypically irl) by their elegance and being able to jump over all kinds of hurdles, as high as they may be, which wings added to a horse (turning it into pegasus) would help with:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dressage
Dressage (/ˈdrɛsɑːʒ/ or /drɪˈsɑːʒ/; a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery.
At the peak of a dressage horse's gymnastic development, the horse responds smoothly to a skilled rider's minimal aids. The rider is relaxed and appears effort-free while the horse willingly performs the requested movement.
Dressage ( or ; a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery. As an equestrian sport defined by the International Equestrian Federation, dressage is described as "the highest expression of horse tra...
The art of dancing is also an art that's a means to appeal to someone else, and I guess horses can do it best even if they don't want to, but at least they attract many and are part of the olympics this way, but not dancers part of dancing competitions, I think.
Though maybe dancing is just the expression of that character's desire to be appealing to people.
At least when blackbeard takes whitebeard's power, its "michael jackson" also who wants to put up or give people a show, presents it as such, wants to turn it into that: Right at the beginning here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYUVMwNPpGI

bro is just making shit up, michael jackson turning into a horse with wings lol
Jango is not Doc Q
I don’t think Aran is actually caught up
he's not, but it doesn't stop him from just posting complete nonsense
not sure why he has not been banned yet
No unfortunately it doesn’t
you don't have a better theory 🙂
That doesn’t make yours good
no one is going to argue against your misconception that Doc Q is Jango
Jango is not Doc Q
okay, if there's evidence/proof, I'll have to accept that, but it would also fit.
Jango the hypnosis guy?
is that not who you are referring to as the moonwalking guy
Bro doesn’t read or pay attention one or the other
And no, the horse that Doc Q is riding on is michael jackson, not Doc Q himself...
what
Save your brain cells
when blackbeard attacks Law, the horse is introduced as someone with the horse horse fruit.
we know the horse... it's Stronger
"...and this is why I believe zoro will die soon"
Okay fair, but then they lied in the anime about it being a person with a fruit. In that case, I confused a few things. Also, I didn't mean Jango (even though yeah he does moonwalk) but Laffitte.
they didn't lie, you just misunderstood
But I think I see what the mistake was and how to fix it, because apparently Laffitte has wings or can have them, but the horse as well, and the angel kids that went to Amazon Lily fighting alongside the marines when blackbeard also got there. There must then either be yet another devil-fruit user then that allows individuals anywhere to grow wings and fly if they desire it strongly enough (or human-bird-hybrids exist but that couldn't explain the horse getting wings), or for the desire to have wings or be an angel, there's no one with permanent strong enough desire for it and so this ability is open to many at the same time, but just temporarily, similarly to Haki abilities.
why do you think that MUST be the case
Pretty sure they said "horse-horse fruit" when introducing the horse.
yes, Stronger is a horse who ate the Mythical Horse Horse Fruit Model Pegasus
Because that's what explained nearly everything else already by now, which you'd know by now if you'd read my info in the backlogs like others that got it by now.
the Seraphim have wings because Lunarians have wings, they're not granted by some fruit power
nobody agrees with your self-proposed theory of everything btw, the only one who believes the bullshit you spew is you
if you want to have serious discussions about the manga, you're going to have to stop relying on your "theory of everything" which you believe gives you credence to say anything you want and assert any claim without having any actual evidence for it
Okay, that does make sense and then could imply that human-bird-hybrids instead generally exist, rather than it being a devil-fruit user or strong enough desire existing amongst many separately, temporarily. Because then one could explain why the horse has the name Stronger (because of carrying weight all the time, being abused with blackbeard being too heavy) and by its strong enough desire it grew wings to help it carry more weight. It then must be the most abused horse in this kind of way though, which I guess is plausible, given that it's part of blackbeard's crew, but ok. So then this would be the next best explanation, I think. Didn't take long or much to adjust/fix that.
no, it is not the next best explanation, it's just the explanation you are choosing
nobody agrees with your self-proposed theory of everything btw, the only one who believes the bullshit you spew is you
Are you envious now? You've seen other people seeing its merit.

hes on to something
no, I'm not some idiot who thinks I can explain every single thing in the story with one forty page theory
yeah, me neither, but I can.
only in your head
Oda's gonna confirm it.
you seem to purposely block out all the times people have disagreed with your reasoning, and only cling to the one or two people who have entertained your bullshit
No I don't, and I just a moment ago demonstrated the opposite to you, are you dense?
I immediately adjusted to the critique and other evidence.
you cited one person somewhat agreeing with you as your ideas having merit, while ignoring the multitude of times people have disagreed with you
There've been like 4 others before, too. Besides that, just look at the evidence. You have no CSI experience to be able to judge this, or psychology understanding or cultural understanding to see this apparently. Like this stands on its own given the overwhelming amount of evidence speaking for it. If there were just a few striking incompatibilities, it'd be ruled out, but they haven't come up so far.
you cannot see beyond your own head
Well, I guess you're allowed to have your opinion, but I'd just advise you to be more careful, not leaning so far out the window with your judgement of others' theories when you barely read them.
I would say the same with you-- you barely read the manga
that is why people disagree with your nonsense so often, you are incredibly misinformed
tried to save your brain cells
You see, critique would be fine if it'd always come together with an alternative competing exlanation + content.based evidence making it plausible, but that isn't what happens, it's always just bickering, complaining. Bring it on, give me a better theory.
Aran, there have been times when I have tried to engage with you on that level, providing you evidence from the manga itself... and all you did was just get defensive and double down on your own nonsense. nothing pleases you except your own masturbatory musings.
you view theorizing as some sort of "sport" where if no one is willing to engage with your nonsense, then you win, which is absolutely misguided. and even when someone tries to, you just deflect and stand your ground about how you are right, even when you make assertions on things you are not even caught up on and are clearly wrong about.
After reading some of these post...they need to be moved towards #manga-serious
try again then
critiquing your logic does not necessitate someone to counter with another hair-brained theory.
yeah but a serious one instead, yes.
that's where he started, and we got sick of him there.
you need to realize-- your logic can be flawed in a vacuum. there does not need to be some competing theory to disprove you when the very story itself does
Since the point in time when I corrected it, it wasn't flawed in a vacuum anymore and the complaining continued nonetheless, meritless.
but you didn't correct your theory-- you just asserted another head-canon made up argument
I don’t have time to read this rn but pm me your theory I’ll look over what you said unbiased like, I like BB theories so I will read it up and talk with you abt it
It's mainly derived from or another application of a more fundamental meta-theory or principle that allows explaining literally every devi-fruit user's power by their character (history) and main desire.
Sol, you can instead also simply scroll or jump up to this point at this referenced message to find it, but the main theory would be here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceSpoilers/comments/19f5b5y/theory_of_everything_for_how_to_derive_how_the/
I’ll check it out in a little bit
Beware that it's a whole lot though because... I mean One Piece is a goddamn gigantic story after all, so there's no short explanations for such huge of a thing.
FYI wikipedia is not a very good source of credibility
and why should I believe you when you say that? Do you have any sources supporting this claim? In my experience it's the complete opposite in general. And if you only mean this instead in a very narrow manner about specific wikipedia pages then please point that restriction out.
btw, do you happen to believe in climate change (significantly human-caused, increasing temps on average)?
know you didn’t specifically ask me, but I do
thank you, good.
One message removed from a suspended account.
Yeah that’s not true, a common misconception brought on by picky teachers not wanting it to be used as a source because it used to allow anyone to edit it, that is not the case anymore
Nowadays you have to prove your credibility in the field before you can edit a Wikipedia page
Blackbeards lineage?
exactly. I remember teachers told me the same long ago, but the times have changed (for a long time by now already, too).
At least since I was in middle school it has been fixed
Hidden Island and Dak's have the best theories
Ohara and Arthur just spouts out fanfics
Any theory about BB's lineage?
Will of D bay B
Full blooded buccaneer?
i just hope he's not xebec's kid
I think he was abandoned by whoever his parent(s) are but because he's a historian, my hope is he got xebec's will by reading about it
yea i'm 10000% down for him inheriting xebec's will, i just don't want him to be directly related to him
~~mainly because i want him to be buggy's dad
~~
Blackbeard is going to raid Marijoies right after the egghead island incident. Using Devon to take Saturns place.
Or use her as fake Saturn to hold captive, for ransom
Some more thoughts about Imu:
Imu surely most come from a royal environment with a palace (or more) and royal clothes, manners, celebrations, weddings, all of that would provide an environment for envy of someone else's wife probably more-so than elsewhere as at least the difference between rich and poor, being royal or not could reach a higher level of discrepancy than in a society that couldn't even afford or get to such luxuries to create as much of a tension...
And so for Imu's past I guess it'd make sense if he were not part of a royal family himself but indirectly involved, teased the most about it, maybe due to having had a royal friend as kid to create a similar situation as the one blackbeard must've had on whitebeard's ship as part of the crew. And so chances are that Lily is a princess and who married her was/is a prince or so.
I think its raiding or infiltrating Mariejoa, because some of the BB crews have suitable powers:
Devon-disguise
Augur-teleport
Shiryu-invisibility
Well lafitte infiltrated it before, with the addition of their powers isn't it more convenient to carry the plan?
And as what happened before, luffy's action always helped them to carry their plan wasn't it? Either if saturn and the marine were taken down or simply chaos in egghead will give them the opportunity to carry out their plan to infiltrate mariejoa
I wonder if Lafite powers are some key/corner stone to his plan.
We know BB has a specific lineage which is probably the antichrist or anti joyboy. I assume it's related to the whole fall of the world and void century. Where someone like him caused the events but got betrayed in the end.
Regardless I agree with you, bb especially with Kuzans meeting showed he only wanted specific powers as they asked bb if kuzans power was right.
Lafette probably is some cursed or mythical zoan that can do something specific.
I agree, lafitte power is still unknown we can't confirm yet what role he will play or if it's necessary or not to the plan. Its just the fact he's able to infiltrate mariejoa means the BB crew is already capable of simply infiltrating it.
With the addition of the new powers they'll be more capable of conducting a more complex plan in mariejoa.
TL;DR: look at the highlighted words
I think it's possible that what Catarina and Van Augre came to get, was actually to touch one of the Vegapunks.
Blackbeard saw the seraphim on Amazon Lily, and was impressed. It would make sense that he would want some sort of control over/protection from them (not to mention S-snake has the love love fruit green blood, meaning they might not need Boa's fruit if they can control S-snake).
Now the seraphim work off a control hierarchy. BB could easily know about this hierarchy, either from Koby, Kuzan (assuming Vegapunk started the seraphim-project before Kuzan left), or maybe he just assumed that their creators would have higher authority than the marines.
It seems as if all you have to do be on the same authority level as a Vegapunk, is just by BEING one of them, enter Catarina Devon who could touch one of them to gain that authority level.
That way, if the Marines ever sent the seraphim to Fullalead (like for example to retrieve Garp (possibly intentionally using him as bait)), Devon would be able to both stop the Seraphim from harming them, but also to turn them against the marines.
Saturn bumping into them is, in my opinion, just a happy coincidence (or "fate" in the BB pirates' eyes), as it:
1: made the job easier (if they couldnt locate any of the satelites),
2: means they get an even higher authority level (if they knew the gorosei were at "the top") and
3: gives potential to cause massive instability, making BB's dream even more achievable
And if youre thinking "why not just get the seraphim after they touched Saturn", that is a good question, and it is probably the biggest wrinkle in this, but im sure there are reasons.
Maybe noticing a stolen seraphim would make them realize the danger theyre in and therefore try something more destructive, idk
yea thats the most logical reason why they came to egghead after encountering seraphims and kidnapping koby.
They were talking to saturn like they have info on their role in the power hierarchy.
it don't even have to be Koby that gave the info since we see gorosei having contact with Admirals and they have one in their crew to spill the beans
yeah I did say it couldve been Kuzan, if Vegapunk started the project before he left the marines
i mean they would only need to take one look and figure out who created these monsters for WG. same with who would have control over them
i also said that. That he could easily just assume their creators would have higher authority than the marines
yea nice work
thank you
I think he is "just" Xebec's son
Lafitte theory, feel free to read ** - THI YouTube / Tiktok**
I want a summary of this
To sum it up without reading all the evidence. Lafitte was a part of the rocks pirates and is now helping Blackbeard
It’s a good read tho
Didn't Hidden island make a theory of that

I see
There is probably more that I didn’t Include but I couldn’t find more tiktok parts lol
But it wouldn’t surprise me if they just weren’t uploaded
Why lattfie want a Rock 2.0?
Taking over the world right
If that was his ambition, Lafitte would know
I see
Why wouldn't Laftie try to revive his own captain (if the theory about him being part of rock is true)
Revive?
Brought back to life
I’m only on fishman island myself so I don’t know much yet.
Oh Jesus
I just like theories so I take spoilers
If anything it makes me want to watch or read more
Yea but you should prolly finish it soon btw
I watched like 500 eps in 4 months
Holy
I’m reading fishman island and dressrosa because the pacing
Punk hazard idk we will see
Yea feel ya
Dressora is my favorite arc but the pacing Jesus
More episodes than chapters
Yea
Hey, please post that theory again in text format, thank you
It would be way to long, I thought pictures of paragraphs would be better!
Make it not as crowded
But I can if you wish
It's the same amount of text and now people who don't have OCR-tools available cannot quote your theory and comment on that
Ok I’ll repost with text
Actuall nah I cbf man, that will take so long
It’s like 4000 characters over discords word limit and then slow mode
And it's not your theory?
Who is the mysterious figure recently shown on the Rocks crew? Where did Blackbeard get all of his knowledge of the Rocks pirates from? Is there a former member hiding amongst his crew?
I've been thinking about this a lot since chapter 1096 gave us a closer look at God Valley. Turns out these important questions may all have the same answer......
Yea THI did that theory
And is the basis of the whole theory that everything about Lafitte's background is a lie?
Nope
Yes, read the theory for it to make sense! :))
Lafitte's background was something told to us by Tsuru, a senior Vice Admiral who lived through the Rocks era. If Lafitte was a Rocks Pirate, she along with Sengoku would have been familiar with him
the theory doesn't really have any evidence to back it. rather, it just has vague feelings of suspicion over his character. the only in-story evidence is the assertion that he somewhat resembles a silhouetted figure-- one that matches up with a zombie we saw on thriller bark, so I'm not sure how well that works either
the silhouetted figure in the Rocks Pirates has four arms, which Lafitte clearly lacks
@sacred glade this channel is intended for long and well-thought theories presented by the people of the community. It is not meant for sharing tiktok or youtube theories without any summaries or your own thoughts about that said video. Additionally please edit your previous notes theory that it's not your own and share where you got it from.
I already said it wasn’t mine and never claimed it was but I edited it anyway
Thanks
Rocks was the Buggy of his time. A selfish man who repetedly lucked his way into infamy and power. The Rocks pirates weren't nakama, they were opportunists sticking with each because it made them unstoppable. This has parallels with Cross Guild. I think the buildup lf Rocks as this mysterious evil force of the past could be hilariously undercut by him being a lucky bafoon. Even funnier if Rocks has the same nose as buggy
What if buggy is descended from rocks?
Again this is a channel for long and well-thought theories. Please continue this conversation in other manga channels.
Franky is destined to destroy take down Pluton
When Ancient Weapons were introduced for the first time, Crocodile described Pluton being able to obliterate entire islands with one shot. In the Fishman Island Arc Shirahoshi demonstrates her ability to control the Sea Kings, it is revealed that ability is considered the other Ancient Weapon: Poseidon. Many people here in theories channel have discussed extensively the idea that the Ancient Weapons are not weapons by design at all. They just have properties that can easily be weaponized. Check for example @primal cargo's theory about Pluton being a construction ship which I agree with: #manga-theories message
Poseidon is a clear example of this and it’s the first hint towards the idea. I still stand by this sentiment for every single Ancient Weapon, but for this theory we have to get inside the heads of the characters of One Piece world and think how they perceive Pluton: It can most definitely be an instrument for mass destruction. It is the only known application of if, even for people who know about it existing. The World Government uses the destructive possibilities of the Ancient Weapons to justify outlawing research into the Void Century.
Now that Caribou has expressed his interest to get Blackbeard to notice him, I think we are heavily heading towards the direction where Pluton will end up in the wrong hands and it will surely be used as a weapon. I think this will set up Franky as the person who will ultimately take down Pluton by using the knowledge he has gained from the blueprints. Franky’s personal dream is to build a ship that will travel around the world, but his character arc is so much more.
When we get to see Franky’s past in his new Strawhat flashback, we learn that even as a kid he was a skilled shipwright who built completely functional battleships from mere scraps. Iceburg objected to this hobby of his and warned him multiple times of the threat they pose.
Ultimately his Battle Frankies were used in a false flag operation by Spandam to attack the judicial ship of the world government and Mr. Tom and Iceburg were heavily injured in the process. It’s almost funny how much this is underlined in the flashback. Franky created these weapons and he needs to take responsibility for them bringing harm and death to his closest ones. Franky even expresses the idea that he’s not going to build ships anymore.
After getting injured by the Sea Train, Franky takes the trauma of losing Tom and Iceburgs advice by heart. He doesn’t want to create weapons that could be used by other people and integrates all of his own weapons into his new cyborg body. He’s literally the only person in the world who can use them.
After encountering the Strawhats, Franky builds one more ship, the Thousand Sunny that is completely different from his previous designs. His battle Frankies were shown to be cannons with sails and keels. Thousand Sunny looks warm, cute and fun. Furthermore the Soldier Docking System almost completely lacks features that are designed with offence first in mind.
Sure Sunny has your basic cannons for defensive purposes and even the highly destructive Gaon Cannon but we have seen that it can also be used as a last resort evasive manoeuvre. I confess that Brachio Tank V is an outlier here but it’s also a part of General Franky, following the idea that only Franky is able to get the most out of his weapon designs.
So Franky started out as a weapons manufacturer, ended up creating the most manoeuvrable ship in the world for the future King of Pirates but where does he go from here? He and Iceburg were the last guardians of the Pluton blueprints before he destroyed them.
Now, the whole generations guarding the blueprints of Pluton is built on top of the same lie as why the research into the Void Century is outlawed. Someone will decipher the Ancient Weapons locations and use them to destroy the world. The blueprints "exist" so you could create another Pluton to act as an opposing force if the original one is ever awakened. Now this is an obvious logical fallacy that has been perverted through generations in the violent world of One Piece:
“You fight fire with fire.”
Even in the scenario if the original Pluton was destroyed with the new one, you still have a Pluton sized problem in your hands. What are you gonna do with that?
Interestingly in the Finnish translation, Iceburg only says “How something like this??” and is cut short. He doesn’t necessarily critique what it is.
In Enies Lobby Franky realises that the blueprints or Nico Robin are the only ways for Spandam to get access to Pluton. So he eliminates the blueprint option entirely and wagers that he and his upcoming crewmates will take care of CP9 and rescue Nico Robin.
Maybe Franky - or Oda at the time - didn’t think about the possibility that someone else could also awaken Pluton. The borders of Wano need to be open for Pluton to be released and I’m sure that the Blackbeard pirates are entirely capable of doing just that. If the Blackbeard pirates are actually able to acquire Pluton, that will set up Franky - and most likely the Galley-La Company - at odds with the most dangerous ship in the world. Maybe they are not able to create a ship out of memory but I think they are going to use the knowledge of the blueprints to take it down by identifying its weaknesses and attacking it from within. It’s a perfect setup for Franky to come make peace with his past with the help of his childhood friend. And it will extend his legacy beyond his personal dream of just building a boat.
The maybe too eager and young weapons manufacturer ends up using his expertise as a shipwright and a dismantler to save the world.
Theorythread: #1208129886036820020 message
yeah it seems like franky is against nuclear/plutonium weapons. Sounds like a nuclear submarine to me if it's a ship.
And what would be the not weaponized utility of a nuclear submarine
nuclear energy plants, using the technology differently.
and that has nothing to do with the idea that pluton is not a weapon itself
I agree with the observations but there doesn't seem to be too many arguments for the conclusion that Franky would destroy it ?
Franky did make peace with his past mistakes the moment he agreed to join the Straw hat crew.
If Pluton has a purpose other than destruction, wouldn't it be preferable for it to be used for the better of the world, rather than destroyed ?
I think the biggest reason to think Pluton is not just a weapon of destruction is simply that the blueprints were made by the creators of Pluton themselves. They made them "in case that power were to run wild" or "in case it falls into the wrong hands". So it must mean that in the creators' eyes there was a right and a wrong way to use Pluton.
I do think that Blackbeard is being foreshadowed to seize control of Pluton and Poseidon with Caribou giving information. Personally I think we will have a similar situation as when Gold Roger and Garp teamed up against Rocks. Blackbeard could threaten to take over the world and destroy the world government and the marines, then Luffy and Coby teams up vs Blackbeard.
You’re actually right, I should’ve said that Franky is gonna neutralize it
I'll link my "Pluton is a construction ship" theory since it's on topic and pretty much all still valid

It's from before we learned about the past of Wano, so I would just complete it by saying the walls of Wano were erected using Pluton.
thanks for providing it since I was trying to remember one of those
what do you guys think about the theory, that caribou would tell bb about shirahoshi, and then catrina devon having copied luffy's appearence with bb and crew destroy fishman island, proving madame sharlie's prophecy correct and make shirahoshi relevant again.
Absolutely possible yes. Madame Sharley’s prophecy have to (or, should) become reality and it has yet to, this is the most likely scenario in my opinion
Have Caterina Devon touched Luffy yet? Don't think she has.
Might’ve touched Luffy when Auger warped her and some food to feed him (we still haven’t seen who exactly fed him yet)
I don't think so since it was specifically luffys future she divined
it would be very odd if she divined someone complete differents future

So what do you think that Cross Guild will do after the egghead incident?
I believe after the egghead arc, we will cut towards to cross guild and see what kind of feats that would make them as dangerous as the other emperors.
My theory new would be Big news morgan would go to emptee bluffs island. Not only it's a safe haven for pirates of all kinds but he has connections to the underworld. If he join forces with Buggy, then cross guild will have the power to control the narative and the news.
Also while the egghead incident is happening, Lafitte would go to Cross Guild and try to make alliance with crocodile and Hawkeye. However the deal will be decline, thanks to Buggy instantly attack Lafitte with a Buggy Ball, and calling out that the Blackbeard pirates cannot be trusting no matter what.
Later on as Morgan joins the party, Buggy would be planning on invading impel down and rescue every single inmate. This would excite Morgans as this would be another story to headline. Crocodile would force him to keep it private and not let anyone know about it; since he is part of Cross Guild now.
The world will focus more on the strawhats while everyone is unaware of another dreadful incident: "The Destruction of Impel Down".
One Piece the Egghead Incident
Egghead arc is about to end and there are many things up in the air as to what will happen.
Dorry and Brogy with the giants arrived to egghead and things are looking good for the Straw Hats but are things going to end well? Vegapunk Stella is critically injured and on the verge of death but is being guarded by Luffy and Sanji. We know that the iron giant is awake and could join the battle but will Luffy leave Egghead safely?
I think that the danger isn't over yet as Saturn is going to rejoin the fight and even Dorry and Brogy could be in harms way. If Saturn and Kizaru truly become serious and goes all out then I believe that the Giants could end up protecting Luffy from fatal attacks and I still have hope that Dragon will come in at the last minute to parry a huge attack from either Saturn or Kizaru and push Luffy out off Egghead at let him escape, similar to how Kuma saved Luffy and crew from Sabody (Egghead and Sabody arcs share very similar features).
Vegapunk Stella seems critically injured and I hope that at the brink of death that Dragon, his close friend would be at his side. From all the Vegapunks I believe that the one to join the Straw Hats all the way to Elbaf is ... Edison. The reason only Edison is important for the Straw Hats is specifically his inventions for Usopp and Nami. The new invention for him and Nami is to use as a weapons on Elbaf. He could make a better climatact for Nami and possibly give Usopp a binocular scope which could zoom in at a far distance for his sniper attacks.
Small crackpot theory here.
All what I have to say is that it is pretty obvious that inhereted will is a thing in One Piece and there are current characters that have inherited the will and dreams of legends in the past, for example BlackBeard seems to have inherited Rocks D. Xebecs will and Luffy has inherited Rogers.
I believe that where their past counterparts have failed the current generation are going to succeed, which in turn is why I believe that BlackBeard is going to be Luffys end game villain.
For example Rocks wanted to be the king of the world but got stopped by Garp and Roger at God Valley, however Blackbeard has inherited the will of Rocks but actually will he achieve this dream, qnd to achieve this dream he will have to plot his way into making sure that IMU and the gorosei are defeated and when the empty throne is vacant he will suceed where Rocks has failed and he will sit atop of it.
Whereas the same parralel will happen with Roger and Luffy, whatever their dreams were Roger wasnt able to achieve it and Luffy will be the one to do so.
yeah I'm working out the details on that currently (no one even ridiculing me on this yet 😔)
do you need me to?
I somewhat agree with this theory, but I would like to add the blood relations to Rocks and Roger. While Roger's son Ace had the potential to be as great as his father, he was suffering from crippling depression and felt like he didn't have any ambition for himself. His will Inheritor Luffy, will be the man that will live up to the man's footsteps.
As for Rocks, his will inheritor, Blackbeard is that man that is destiny to be the monter that would put the word fear in pirates. However he will be CLOSE, but won't make it. As he is not the man that will turn the world upside down. I believe that theire is a pattern between blood and wills; the same way with Roger. I believe that this can apply with Rocks as well. I bet that Rocks has a son and his name is Rocks D Buggy.
nah, but I think I got some major progress done now... and some dirty secret about Imu if his inspiration indeed is the german tale Rumpelstielchen (quite the euphemism for a r*pist that is the imp that creates gold for 1 king - not 20 in one piece maybe - in exchange for ""the king's"" 1st born child...) but got more theory-crafting done now, too.
Despite Buggy's trackrecord of felling-upwards, he has manage to mimic the same position and demenor as Rocks. And if you look at the hints when Buggy appears in, sometimes he states that he wants the rule the world or prove it that he can make it big. So While Blackbeard can be the saber of Xebec, Buggy will be his successor of not only turning the world upside down, but becoming the king of the world.
Imu liking to play with butterflies (symbolically commonly representing - especially beautiful - women) may hint at what his desire is, and it'd make sense then for his ability - given what his desire is - to be to create gold, because well... that'd allow him to provide what the people (kings) with usually the most beautiful women (as daughters) would want or need the most to be willing to enter such kinds of deals... crazy mfer
Sanji will not be amused about Imu treats ladies.
I guess he could create unlimited amounts of gold and so for a Gold-Rusher he'd be the person to find, but once gold roger would find out about what desire enabled Imu in the first place to be able to create gold... well, at most he could kill the guy and then either a devil-fruit would spawn once someone else alike Imu comes around, or someone else may naturally develop such strong desire and become able to do the same, but chances are that if they are the person with the strongest desire for gold, then they'll just require similar conditions. And gold roger after finding out about that may just not have been interested anymore.
However, Sengoku also is able to create a or rather become a golden buddha, but I guess that doesn't allow creating gold per se....
I was already skeptical about 1 person's naturally developed special power to allow the creation or transformation of fruits into devil-fruits all around the world... because that wouldn't fit as general mechanism to all the other Haki abilities that also can arise anywhere, and all the snails with desires to be able to communicate telepathically or so, and so it'd fit better then if natural desires of people (if strong enough) alone are creating those fruits for them, specifically tailored to alleviate their pain of/from having that kind of passion. And the reason was that surely passion fruits and the irl lore around them must have a meaning, too, but I can see how that can still all apply but be separate from being tied to an emo bringing them into existence in general.
And now I though can definitely also see why Oda would have worries about including this kind of ending to the whole story, because many people surely will not like it or I guess it'll go into taboo areas maybe a bit too much for some people's tastes (though it can also depend on to what extent Oda may ever explain the desire-based mechanism for the logic that determines why certain people have certain powers, because that genuinely is hidden very well, but.... not anymore, the riddle is solved there, and so when people an see behind that and understand what it means, it's gonna be somewhat ugly, but then again I mean genocide, experimenting with kids, all kinds of disasters that also have happened in one piece's story before technically could count similarly but people are more numbed to that, used to it, and it'd not be of the same quality, wouldn't necessarily invoke similarly strong emotional reactions to being exposed to it).
I guess all the Imu (imp?) sees is red like his eyes.
I believe that if you combine both Luffy and Ace's personalities, you can get Roger. The same is applied with Rocks if you combine Blackbeard's and Buggy's Personality
hmm right... roger must've learned about Imu, as he's the gold-rusher, and must in response to that have come up with smth more to his own liking, to do smth about that situation, overthrowing it.
My headcannon is that Rocks D Xebec had the same attitude and personality as Buggy.
So... not exactly a butterfly-lover, not romantic, but romantic gone wrong, gone abusive.
And now, given (or assuming) that Imu had this kind of relationship/deal with kings and their daughters, eventually he's going to have a daughter himself, and that could be Lily, and maybe she had to be rescued from that guy, which Dragon could've done. And after Dragon did that, I suppose Imu needed the next substitute for that...
So I think with that, another major part should be figured out. A few things remain of the main plot (besides explaining many side-characters' logic I guess).
i would love that, personally
https://youtu.be/4ZH9JgKvoI8 gotta give credit to this guy though because while I knew of the by oda iirc spoiled inspiration and references to vicky the viking, I (i) hadn't yet familiarized myself with various details in there nor tried to see how they could match parts of one piece, and (ii) idk where he got the idea from about a reference to the rumpelstielchen tale, but I guess he covers the reasons somewhere in there; not sure if or when I'd gotten to see such.
Vicky the Viking was a big Inspiration for Eiichirō Oda, in this Video I will show you some Parts of the Series that contributed to the Story of One Piece. I found some intriguing details that could reveal more about the whereabouts of the One Piece.

Imu is that spikehead guy, confirmed.
(by collaboration of this preparational work and my further deductions onward from there using a general principle for how the logic in char design works, and more)
So it's Don Shinjao.
So assuming that all the kings don't need even more and more and more gold. If amounts of gold like there would be enough already, then that'd mean Imu would lose his leverage over them, if only they could access it, which probably is at least part of the purpose of the gigantic bridge that is being built, to where Robin was sent.
So that this parasitic relationship ends and they are freed from that.
It's surely not a coincidence in what specifically chosen manner he's able to open up that place, as the d*ck head he is, not just in shape but also mentally.
In a Nutshell, Blackbeard is like Buggy but without the fun/lively part of him.
However, I think I have justification for being annoyed over how misleading some imagery of imu as shadow was because there it looked like an iroquois hair-style, clearly with like 3 spikes, not 1, but at most that could've been some odd crown, I suppose. But even if that happened to be off, the butterfly garden was a more safe cue which just happened to at least close enough fit both interpretations. But maybe given that Oda was at least at some point considering changing the ending, maybe he wanted to make it slightly more ambiguous, allowing for a bit more leeway for changing things up, to show 3 tall spikes for Imu's shadow form.
However, Don Shinjao also doesn't have red eyes, but it'd still allow for a very plausible scenario.
You see this kind of thing all the time with Blackbeard that kind of goes like this: "What's this?! I didn't know this extremely reasonable thing I could have considered was going to happen!" (i.e. Law being awakened; the navy using pacifista (seraphim) on amazon lily; Magellan poisining the entire crew; Whitebeard fighting back)
Maybe the tall crown was meant as camouflage because otherwise people would've easily known it had to be the guy's head being so spikey and tall.
ngl, I find it funny how even after this discovery I get just ignored on it, but maybe some just have me long blocked by now.
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Chinjao
I see, so they have a whole dynasty it seems, and the old guy's head is already broken... an obvious symbol to interpret the meaning out of.
https://www.deviantart.com/masterchristian/art/Chinjao-young-manga-edited-948460895
Man, even young Don Chinjao's clothing is covered in rings drawn on it... and has about the noblest of clothing, or at least up there. But I guess not anymore at old age. Actually, he may have been the former Imu and been obsoleted by someone whose desire of the same kind was stronger by the time he got that old, and was then thrown out and irrelevant for the kings but maybe part of the deal was also that he'd be let alone free, rather than them going after him then. So no, Imu may not be this guy but someone very much alike him, possibly a son, which would be not unlikely because if a son were to grow up in this kind of environment, that can affect what desire they may develop, in analogous envy of that of blackbeard for whitebeard.
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/onepiece/images/c/cf/Chinjao_Digitally_Colored_Manga.png/revision/latest?cb=20211122220406 even the beard is covered in... erected spikes.
Or maybe another potentially plausible explanation or interpretation for what the 3 spikes on imu's shadow form mean could be that it may be the 3rd generation of Imps of this kind, with Don Chinjao being the 2nd with his 2 spike-head-stumps. And I guess if there was a dynasty of these, like if this was a thing that has been going on for a long time, and if they each at their position at the top, when they were the ones able to create gold, and that before the elder generation Imp died yet, had to beat the older guy in terms of strength of desire of this kind, then that could've been physically represented by them having each time had 1 more tall spike as part of their head, possibly making Imu the 3rd of the kind.
Orrr and may sound crazy what I’m about to say
Maybe the spikes r due to his unique character design
I guess you don't know it but the unique character designs tend to be specifically chosen to represent the characters personalities, to fit to them as much as possible.
But not in Buggy fashion.
If you look at captain john's band, it is shaped like a crown.
Is that the reason why Vivi's father, the king of Alabasta, iirc did hide Vivi (amongst Crocodile's folks)? Also, you guys might not know, but in this tale Rumpelstiltskin ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumpelstiltskin ), which is about that imp that is able to create gold in trade for the king's (queen's I guess) 1st-born child has the famous expression in it that says "good that no one knows that my name is rumpelstiltskin", and that should mean that people don't know of the guy's dirty secret, and the same seems to me to be true for at least the old Don Chinjao because he could openly take part in that competition in Dressrosa.
The ending was revised in an 1857 edition to a more gruesome ending wherein Rumpelstiltskin "in his rage drove his right foot so far into the ground that it sank in up to his waist; then in a passion he seized the left foot with both hands and tore himself in two". Other versions have Rumpelstiltskin driving his right foot so far into the ground that he creates a chasm and falls into it, never to be seen again.
That could fit to Chinjao (or Imu, someone alike him) eventually possibly opening the ice and falling in there, dying, but it'd already in part fit to Chinjao breaking open the ice floor.
Oda possibly never leaves his char design up to chance.
But anyway, whatever the exact details for the story are, the important take-away should be clear now, I think.
In the live action, Buggy states that once he becomes the pirate king he can finally be loved. Also his interagation of Luffy, as he's talking about wanting to be the pirate king for the sake of a "love one", an "absent parent", and a "false idol"; hinting that his entire childhood is about people abondoning him. Once we get the full context of Buggy's backstory (before he met the Roger pirates), we can finally understand what he wants.
Before he met Roger, he was adobted as a baby by Captain John himself. Their relationship was like Luffy and Shanks but funny and depressing. I believed that one day John went out to sea and left Buggy to defend for himself. That's why Buggy is obsess of finding John's treasure; to prove his adobted father that he is a great pirate.
Also in Impel down, his expression of seeing the band of Captain John felt like he had PTSD.
Even Nami didn't know that band belongs to Captain John, and she's obsess with money.
Evertime Buggy has a goal, it felt like he has to prove something.
AfterJohn left him, Buggy hop to island to island in order to survive; this eventually led him to become a stoaway on the Roger pirates and immedtaley they adobted him.
Him appearing on the roger pirates ship will be completly similar to how Luffy was introduce in the beginning of the story.
That's why Buggy acts different than Shanks. Shanks was raised by the Roger Pirates as a good manner individual, while Buggy was raised by Captain John to be a sterotypical Pirate and eventually ploped onto Roger's ship later on.
Any even if Buggy doesn't become the pirate King, us, shanks, and Roger knowns that Buggy has the tendencity to acheive something greater.
If Buggy somehow becomes King of the world, he will obtain wealth, fame, power, but will face all the responsibility of fixing the whole world; becoming a slave to the people.
But Despite everything has happen, just expect Buggy to keep surprising us.
Buggy is furious rather than laughing at Luffy, and mocking him by stating that he is "god of the pirates". and in 1082, it sows a deeper layer to Buggy and the idea of dreams. He admits that he abondon his when he notice that shanks was better than him and later on refuse to become the pirate king. This broke Buggy completly. But when he meet luffy, the fire inside him flicker for a moment and decided to try again, but base on his luck that protected him, and fate has made him an emperor, and bringing Croco and Hawkeye into his "Guild", he finally realise that he does has a shot to become a pirate king, to finally prove to Roger that he is worth it, to finally prove shanks that he is his equal, and finally prove to luffy, that he is a force not to be ignored anymore. And worst of all, we have not seen the many surprises that Buggy can do.
Well, depending on how much blackbeard knows about Imu, it could explain what plans for potential trades he may have for Boa Hancock.
Maybe even all the frozen giants at Punk Hazard may be older generations of these kinds of people, until they died trying to open the ice again to access the treasure again, smth like that. After all, the kind of system is said to have been going on for a long time.
The main reason why Buggy wants to be king of the pirates/king of the world is because if he gets a high status, then he could finally be loved and appreciated for once.
This may or may not be the same reason why Rocks wanted to rule the world.
But at the same time I personally believe that Rocks is stronger than roger. Even if, Rocks is confirm to be Buggy's dad.
Rocks became depressed over his crew not respecting or caring about him.
In a dangerous storm, Rocks fell off boat and got lost in the sea. He was found ashore on load star island (MAYBE). She found a young woman and became in love.
(THE ROCKS THEORY) They both got married and secretly had a child (Buggy). This change Rocks’ perspective of his life and his goal of wanting to become king of the world.
A few days later, The Rocks pirates found Rocks. Rocks reunited his crew, Not knowing the existence of his wife and child.
Years later, Rocks heard rumors of his wife and child were capture by celestial dragons and were send to God Valley; a vacation for celestials and the home for many mythical and God devil fruits.
The Rocks pirates made it to God valley first. (They were there for days.)
Rocks found his wife dead from all the torture of the celestial dragons; causing Rocks to finally snap.
Rocks attitude and personality transform from a clown to the figure that the news and rumors made him out to be. (A monster). Resulting in him trying to kill all the celestial dragons and everyone on it.
This later resulted in Rocks “Betraying” his own crew by disregarding his dream and wanting to kill them for mistreating him badly.
The Reason why The Rocks Pirates never talk about Xebec is for multiple reasons:
- Some members don’t know the full context of the incident.
- For Bigmom, shiki, and Whitebeard: they don’t talk about him not only because he betrayed them, but they were getting beaten by an actual weakling. Making this incident quite embarrassing.
- For kaido: Xebec throwing away his dream and running away from multiple fights in God Valley made Kaido so Heartbroken that he refuses to talk about it; but still holds some respect towards his captain.
This shows that you dont need the audiance to feel love. You just need that one person to make you feel like you already conquered the world.
However, I think there should be a problem or flaw regarding this created gold, because (independent of if it's created via devil-fruit or not), the gold after the death of the person that created it should be gone or turn back to straw again, and so at most it may be in the interest of the kings then for the guy to not die, or for the gold having been used by the time already for trades.
So Dragon is Robin Hood, stealing from the rich to give the poor:

who knew that robin hood was tarzan's father 😏
well, both forest guys...
What if the X on luffy's chest is considered as X marks the spot and related too the One piece, given it's on Laugh Tale.
Luffy is the One Piece

saturn is going to die in egghead
If Buggy was the main character, instead of beating his enemies, he would just recruit them under his flag; becoming some soft of pokemon master.
if caribou joins the black beard pirates would he tell blackbeard about the ancient weapons pluton and posiden and where they are
This is practically a given, what's your theory
that black beard will take both of them and use devon power to become saturn to find out where uranus is. i think he will use all of those ancient weapons to conquer the world after making pirate island a world government affilated country
I think that once blackbeard brings them to the end war the strawhats will work on reclaiming them franky and Robin will get a hold of pluton luffy will take poseidon then as for Uranus... idk something may happen with it
The reason why Shank's crew has no devil fruits whatsoever is because of the curse that comes with it and when buggy and toki both devil fruit users as they were approaching laughable fell ill. Shanks at the time might have assumed that since devil fruit users cannot enter the land of laughtale they would fall ill anyways beforehand. He assumed that to get the one piece he would need a crew with no devil fruit users whatsoever and he also assumed that this might be true since Roger, Rayleigh, Oden, and Gabon and the rest of the crew when they were at laugh tale. None of them were devil fruit users which might be the reason why shanks crew has no devil fruit users but there might be an exception to Luffy as he inherits the will of Joy Boy and has the Sun God Nika fruit which makes him a reincarnation of joy boy when he transforms into gear 5 and also the one piece was joy boys treasure after all as roger claimed but yeah this is the theory I came up with as to why shanks has no devil fruit users on his crew.
i doubt saturn knows where the ancient weapons are or anyone in the world gov they wouldve went after them already
It's hard to believe that devil fruit users can't step foot on laughtale. The reason Shanks' crew don't have devil fruits is probably that they are specialized in fighting devil fruit users with sea stone weaponry and powerful haki.
Yes
One doesn't need no devil fruit to develop devil-fruit-like powers either. Devil-fruits are for the weak (desire-lacking ones) 😤
A few characters in one piece prove that this is true.
But no one had a devil fruit when Roger and his crew was on laughtale the only person that did was buggy but he had to stay behind
If devil fruits are created by desire
I wonder if people like Garp never had desire before??
Even if you find it hard to believe, those in verse do believe devil fruit users can’t go
but it doesnt make any sense because mugiwara have brook, chopper, robin and luffy as fruit users. even luffy aside. chopper, robin and brook wont be able to step foot on laughtale?? that doesnt make sense again
Just thought of this, what if laughtale is made of sea stone
Why
Literally the chosen person must have a certain df
that would make sense like it cant be sense by any loge pose since it have the same essence of the sea
Because it’s been established that devil fruit users can’t go there and or get weak within proximity, it could be such a high concentration of sea stone that even getting too close weakens a df user
they are, yes.
no, the dog expresses his loyality. he's the most loyal guy in the world. dogs are especially loyal animals
Also am interesting add on to support
you see, what makes him the most loyal one? Well, he's still part of the marine, despite where his son and grandson are.
namely the opposite side of the marine in terms of the revolutionaries, or a pirate even, which creates great tension between loyality to the marine and family members' positions.
it's reverse mountain.
the black ship is there that can cause whirlpools: laboon
and it's the navel of the world with how critical of an entry point it is that everyone has to go through to access the grand line.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omphalos
According to the myths regarding the founding of the Delphic Oracle, Zeus, in his attempt to locate the center of the Earth, launched two eagles from the two ends of the world, and the eagles, starting simultaneously and flying at equal speed, crossed their paths above the area of Delphi, and so was the place where Zeus placed the stone.[1]
And as navel of the world, it gets its religious character, too, and I think instead of 2 eagles forming a cross, it's the 4 red poneglyphs in one piece. Furthermore, the fact that the water flows upward there could mean that Trafalgar Law flipped the island around to hide the place from pirates and lock the place away, making it look like a mountain.
As mountain it also has suspiciously little plants growing on it. If it'd be broken up, the all blue could form, and it's the same place where Brook would fulfill his dream.
And it's the last place to get to after going through the whole grand line.
And Nami could at least have then finished her map of the world for the grandline.
Like... when Law cuts people, the blood that flows through them also keeps circulating the way it's supposed to. So if the water flows up the mountain, to me that's a clue then that reverse mountain is supposed to be upside down so the water at its outer side (e.g. if there's a water current beneath that flows against the rock shaped like a stalactite possibly) would flow downward again like normal.
And the snowbear Bepo points out in a recent episode of the anime that Law "is the king of the pirates", which could indicate that he found the place before, and it could also make sense then that he left what's there and has no materialistic interests because of another reference that Oda seems to have used, namely via the "yellow submarine", w8
hey guys i dont know if u guys noticied this but Teach is the only emperor who has not set foot on Wano. there we know that shanks was ready to wano because he thought he would intercept blackbeard. but this one was at amazon lily. Teach has the fruit of tremor and by extension can produce tsunamis. wouldn't teach return to wano to release the Ancient Weapon?? especially since caribou is that pluton is located on wano. and caribou wants to join blackbeard's crew. we know that Pluton is the Roman name for the Greek god of the underworld Hades known as Dis Pater in Rome. it's going to hell again. which would correspond well to teach. The fact that teach comes to Wano and destroys the walls to recover Pluton. So it's a parallel with today's Japan, which is one of the countries that has suffered the most earthquakes and tsunamis in the world. so Teach could possibly destroy wano
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Submarine_(song)
The lyrics offer an anti-materialist message typical of the Beatles' songs on Revolver and of psychedelic culture. Reising and LeBlanc view the song's lyrics as a celebration of "the simple pleasures of brotherhood, exotic adventure, and an appreciation of nature".[27]
These are not a coincidence:
Aye-aye captain, he says, doesn't he, and the others say the other part of the lyrics, namely "Aye-aye, sir": https://youtu.be/bs7t2HLjusw?t=1
And while they aren't sailing to the sun (like in the lyrics of the song), there's still the sun-god reference.
https://youtu.be/m2uTFF_3MaA?t=91
Look how (at the timestamp) they all grow white fur all over the place. Bepo must be a reference to that, and Trafalgar's wholly hat possibly, too. And when they encounter Blackbeard, there's another reference to Bepo losing hair, which may be another subtle hint.

Interestingly enough, they also encounter and fight a variety of large dinosaurs there, just like Trafalgar Law does when they fight against Kaido's army.
https://youtu.be/ZOhx5jto8iw?t=9
And their submarine has a flapper in its back-end, too (which... is at least not a given for submarines)
(And this isn't the only song for which references exist in one piece either)
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed on to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine Yellow submarine, yellow submarine (x2)
And our friends are all aboard
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play
We all live in a yellow submarine Yellow submarine, yellow submarine (x2)
Full steam ahead, Mister Boatswain, full steam ahead
Full steam ahead it is, Sergeant
(Cut the cable, drop the cable)
Aye-aye, sir, aye-aye
Captain, captain
As we live a life of ease (a life of ease)
Every one of us (every one of us)
Has all we need (has all we need)
Sky of blue (sky of blue)
And sea of green (sea of green)
In our yellow (in our yellow)
Submarine (submarine, aha)
We all live in a yellow submarine Yellow submarine, yellow submarine (x4)
"Aye Aye Captain!"
And it would fit to Law's childhood personality, too, where after the trauma when he was almost massacred alongside others under the corpses of which he did hide to escape (white lead disease town) went rather nihilistic and didn't care about the world, but got brought back by Corazon to reason to care for people and value their lives (but he could care less about materialistic goods). And given that he anyway almost died young, he could think that he may as well go full yolo and go out on exotic adventures.
Teach has the fruit of tremor and by extension can produce tsunamis. wouldn't teach return to wano to release the Ancient Weapon??
maybe he could, but I think Zunesha would rather be the intended one to be able to do it, given Zunesha asking Momo about it.
to access the treasure, you mean? The treasure isn't at reverse mountain / raftel. The treasure is way up in the ice, it's what Chinjao talks about. And yes, the crystal ice "Open Chinjao/Sesame" seems to require the most horny person on earth to be opened.... despite of how silly it sounds, because that would be the kind of desire to develop such kind of spikey head with which to put up enough "pressure on 1 spot" as he says, to be able to open it up.
Vicky the Viking was a big Inspiration for Eiichirō Oda, in this Video I will show you some Parts of the Series that contributed to the Story of One Piece. I found some intriguing details that could reveal more about the whereabouts of the One Piece.

Oh, and I see. Luffy literally wears (a golden version of) Vicky's helmet right here with the 2 spikes off the side., during the dressrosa battles at the colosseum.
And I guess Luffy's also wily alike Vicky, but in battles against strong opponents. To find ways to adjust to them and counter their fighting styles.
However, I think there might be a chance that if Reverse Mountain were to be flipped over again (or maybe even the way it currently is, but I think it's meant as a "plug") that an underwater passage would be freed up going inside and through about the whole red line to enter the treasure at the northern ice that way (after all, the treasure must have gotten there in at least some manner and surely no access from on top of or around the places on the ice exist or it'd been found), and to prevent access to it could possibly be the reason why Law may have flipped the island.
However, I also think that Law by his ability could warp the treasure out of there, but so could the Warp-Warp fruit guy of blackbeard's crew, which might become important for that reason later, but idk for sure.
And for why either Chinjao's son or grandson or someone alike him but younger would be Imu (turning straw into gold or smth alike that, like in the Grimms' tale Rumeplstilskin / Rumpelstielchen, but for the price of getting the many kings' daughters so they can have the gold, probably being roughly how Oda may have transferred that tale's plot), I've written about that in the backlog from yesterday above.
You see, in general for every devil-fruit user, their ability is derived from their desire (and for them to have the ability they need to be the one desiring smth the most), and furthermore, the physical abilities are meant to aid the user/person to achieve or follow their desire, to help as efficient means for it.
And you see, this is how it could make sense that a... horny guy alike Chinjao could be in Imu's position, because well... the means to get the most beautiful women of the world, given that they tend to be among the most noble of families, the 20 royal families with their daughters, and given what those kings mostly would want, it can make sense that such a person's physical ability would be to create gold as means for their desire, and to then exploit it in that way.
And it could then also make sense of why blackbeard may be interested in Boa Hancock, even if it's not about her devil-fruit ability like last time with whitebeard (which Boa also points out to blackbeard "why do you want my ability, you cannot use it (given that neither he nor any of his crew are beautiful like her to be able to... enchant people like that)?!", in this case it should be not about her devil-fruit or power for once but just the fact that she's basically the most beautiful woman and so if blackbeard would know about Imu's situation, he could trade her as hostage for the treasure he wants.
And let's be real, for an animation that's focused about going through about any desire one can have, for the creation of hundreds of characters with different strong desires to base powers/abilities off of, the desire for beautiful women basically ought to be covered in there, too, unless one specifically wanted to exclude that case for some reason that wouldn't then make sense really for such a designed world that follows/includes so many stereotypes and irl culture references. And so I guess if we were to ever come by someone with the strongest desire of that kind (which as Chinjao says he isn't or isn't anymore, as an "old wolf that lost his fangs" and is super sad over it... not because of the gold but the means it represents to him for getting women), then that'd either be Imu or safely exclude Imu being that/such person, but given the many characters covered already and it not having come up directly and surely being contained in the world somewhere, it may as well have been withheld until the very end (or close).
And given that such an ending would when it's revealed include such a pretentious topic... it'd also make sense of why Oda has considered changing the ending up.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Piece
Oda revealed that he originally planned One Piece to last five years, and that he had already planned the ending.
In August 2019, Oda said that, according to his predictions, the manga will end between 2024 and 2025.[20] However, Oda stated that the ending would be what he had decided in the beginning; he is committed to seeing it through.[21] In a television special aired in Japan, Oda said he would be willing to change the ending if the fans were to be able to predict it.[5]
Because I guess to some it may be uncomfortable. Also it then makes sense of why Imu gets Vivi kidnapped and her father the king probably in attempt to prevent that getting killed.
what if gol d roger is imu
No I strongly doubt it.
but it would be so epic
I think Gol D Roger is meant to be the personification of someone that is (the most) out on a gold-rush, hence the similarity between Goldrusher and Gold Roger.
And I think that if Gol D. Roger then either could've taken the treasure but didn't, or wasn't able to access the treasure himself (or with his crew) but Chinjao himself may have offered Gold Roger to get access to the treasure but only under Chinjao's condition, and Roger may have found that despicable and rather decided to not take it.
Oh and notice how when Chinjao battles Luffy at the colosseum in dressrosa, he talks a whole lot about the past and brings up many important characters' names, and so that must mean that he knows a whole lot, isn't just some negligible side-character.
I guess
it'd also give more importance to this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QAbQS_CQ_E
---One Piece Garp vs Chinjao the drill EPIC---
This is one epic battle from the past between Garp and Chinjao the drill.
--- One Piece Garp vs Chinjao el EPIC taladro ---
Esta es una batalla épica entre el pasado entre Garp y Chinjao el taladro .
DISCLAIMER:I DO NOT OWN THIS ANIME, THIS IS PURELY FANMADE
https://www.deviantart.com/masterchristian/art/Chinjao-young-manga-edited-948460895
And (again), it shouldn't be coincidence that his clothes are covered in rings, and similarly so for this:
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/onepiece/images/c/cf/Chinjao_Digitally_Colored_Manga.png/revision/latest?cb=20211122220406 even the beard is covered in... erected spikes
Given that Luffy's generation is the new ambitious generation with so many people in that generation coming up developing so many strong desires and hence powerful abilities and "being the worst generation", and given that Luffy is the grandson of Garp who was at the time in similar generation as Chinjao, that makes it probable that Imu is Chinjao's grandson, and maybe he may be especially bad and given his powerful position and hence the wide scale of effects that come with what or how off that guy's desires are, that may also be the reason why Luffy's whole generation (extrapolated from Imu's situation) may be called "the worst generation" in the first place.
I guess young Chinjao in the image above also happens to have a zipper that conveniently goes all the way from top to bottom... to get to things quicker, probably... (and maybe even the diagonal inward upward lines to the center beneath the rings may be a similar reference)
And I mean I haven't even seen the content ahead of the anime like many of you folks here and so there may be even more clues fitting into this pattern (for the general story/plot prediction, any elements of it) that you could point out / identify(?)
Oh... maybe Chinjao's "belt" may even represent the red line(?) The red line would then go through his belly and over his navel "of the world", and would also mean that Raftel is that navel of the world, the center of the red line.
And I think one could (and maybe even is intended to) go a step further in the interpretation, because you see, the red line of the world is a huge barrier separating the world (preventing the all blue from existing), and if one carries this meaning over to the design of Chinjao's clothing, it is what separates "all the rings from all the lines (with his his head sticking out on the other side)", and so the meaning that this could have would be that even though all the princesses (or generally beautiful women) would have own people they love, they instead are forced to put up with this guy, until the red line may be gone, which could mean that this guy or his kind would have to go away. And maybe the whole one piece treasure would even have to be destroyed, taken away, so that this has an end, and so that the many people can find true happiness.
https://youtu.be/4ZH9JgKvoI8?t=892 yeah the fact that Laboon keeps hitting his head on Reverse Mountain should both mean that Laboon's separated from the other whales like from the source of inspiration, Vicky the Viking, but in the context of the world of one piece is should be an additional piece of evidence that Reverse Mountain wasn't always the way it currently is but was an island that was flipped around (by Law), and accidentally separated a young whale, laboon, from other whales.

^> indeed, the shadow doesn't fit at all, but may fit to his real identity, and it could be Chinjao's grandson supposedly, but he has the ability to become invisible, which Sanji points out he'd love to have (to sneak into women's bathrooms...), and so there would be a reference to that, but no, given that Absalom is on this haunted place, his motivation/desire for hiding should come from fear; however, it doesn't exclude the other potential motivation on top of it and could be used as camouflage/distraction for people seeing how the devil-fruits work to have an alternate explanation. And his shadow's thin long arms with these gloves do fit to Imu's gloves at the flower garden with the butterflies, and this gothic place would indeed fit to an emo theme, allowing him to actually be a butterfly-lover and Chinjao who's still alive only having that other ability and strongest desire but somehow having been... obsoleted or absolved from his position by this absalom; and for why his shadow is different from his appearance there'd also be an explanation even, because luffy and others also were transformed iirc by someone's devil-fruit ability into spooky monsters, and so the same could've happened to absalom to have a different appearance, but the shadow appearance may not lie.
Man... that guy had figured out some important points but either just rather superficially or without explaining more of the logical connections if he was at all aware of them, but there's really smth to it.
https://youtu.be/4ZH9JgKvoI8?t=1033
^> he points out strange connections or logical leaps...
^> but yes, for Robin to have been frozen there to look like that snow-woman-sculpture that Ussop created long ago which should be a reference to Lily that Imu (and by that possibly Absolom) mourns over or seeks, and she's likely dead, and then possibly died when she was frozen by the iceman Kuzan maybe as Dragon may have tried to attack Imu and accidentally hitting her, beheading her(?)
^> Absalom also seems to have taken Nami hostage, which would fit into the overall pattern then...
^> Absalom also wears a crown resembling the world government (in this form), but like other animal-related devil-fruit users he should be able to switch between 2 body forms / appearances and also mixed forms, and then he may not have been transformed by someone else's ability (though it looks that way due to the same stitches separating the body parts) but it could been a mixed appearance. Maybe the means granted to him to open the ice would also lead to a spikey head but in a different way, by transformation into a suitable animal with such shape, to combine that with hardening Haki to be able to open it... and he should have either 3 tall thin spikes on his head or as part of the head, maybe like a.. cock... well yeah, definitely...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cock
^> "Cock or cocks most commonly refers to:
Cock (bird) or rooster, a male of any bird species
Cock (slang), a vulgar slang term for the penis"
^> And then what I thought was an iroquois hair-cut is a rooster's head comb/crown
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comb_(anatomy)
^> And so that'd mean that Imu would have a chicken/rooster transformation devil-fruit power
^> But how can he turn invisible then as well, wouldn't that be a 2nd devil-fruit-requiring(?) power?
^> I suppose one could also check through the list of known characters with powers to see if there's already a rooster transformation power user among them or not...

Song: "Who Are You" By The Who
What chickens have red eyes?
Rhode Island Red - Characteristics
Rhode Island Reds have red-orange eyes, reddish-brown beaks, and yellow feet and legs, often with a bit of reddish hue on the toes and sides of the shanks. Chicks are a light red to tan color.
Some chicken/roosters also have red eyes, fitting to Imu's appearance.
And with Imu/Absalom being a bird, that could be big, too, because this could tie in with all those other intel bird folks or members of various pirate crews that he may be leading.
https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/one-piece-chapter-1085-the-death-of-nefertari-cobra.43104/page-27
(the following citation's from that discussion there regarding the silhouettes)
Is meant to be an entirely separate character. One that Oda drew much more discretely than the others, and just forgot to draw eyes on, unlike the others.
And that this small random shadow is actually meant to be a giant screaming head
https://i.imgur.com/F26opnm.jpg
And yeah, this surely means that this secret bird people conspiracy involves Imu and the huge one at the top then probably was his father (the son of Chinjao then supposedly) and Imu/Absalom took over later (if this is a scene from the past), and that newspaper bird with the american hat should also be part of them, unless the chicken is Imu himself, but the other image speaks against it as there's probably multiple kinds of birds among them (which Katakuri the pelican should be, too), since the huge shapeless face screaming down probably is the rooster and then Imu.
Buggy vs Usopp - "Captain" vs "Captain"
Mihawk vs Zoro - Swordsman vs Swordsman
Crocodile vs Sanji - Mr 0 vs Mr Prince (jinbe would be too good of a type matchup)
[3rd yonko commander] vs Jinbe - ? vs ? (every yonko commander besides buggy and BB have three main commanders so we just have to wait for buggys)
Mr 1 vs Brook - Swordsman vs Swordsman (2nd strongest swordsman on both teams)
Mr 3 vs Franky - Mecha vs Macha (Mr 2 could use his mech form but unless Mr 3 got stronger franky is too strong for him)
Mohji and Richie vs Chopper - Animal vs Animal (idk man just go with it)
Alvida vs Nami - Girl vs Girl (Oda has a tendancy of making the girls fight each other and alvida would be too weak for robin )
Alt Version
Crocodile vs Robin - Mr 0 vs Ms All Sunday (very interesting matchup)
Alvida and Mr 3 need powerups for the fights to work well but other than that I think my list is good. (luffy isnt here because he would floor wipe everyone except Mihawk) Robin doesnt have an equal couterpart on crossguil but if boa was in crossguild I could see them fighting (only because oda likes to do girl vs girl fights)
"bagaaaahk!" 🐔
strawhats vs crossguild
Imu's got thin bird-/dinosaur-like arms, too.
-> And Imu apparently says that the relics he finds despicable, doesn't like wouldn't been scattered around the world if Lily hadn't screwed up (and pirates looking for them), and so he's now(?) in fact angry at her...
^> Surely the person best suited to scatter those poneglyphs around the world would be Kuma, and so since Imu hates that it happened, he must've long been angry about Kuma having done that and that should be why he's been turned into a robot as punishment and was cloned or built many times in the form of the pacifistas...
#manga-theories message
Chances are that the ""ox"" on the left is who's who, and that he looks sad/depressed because he messed up and had Shanks take the gum-gum fruit from the ship he was meant to protect.
Who's-Who, also known as Who of the Droplets, is one of the Tobiroppo, the strongest six Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates. Over a decade ago, he served as an agent of CP9 before his failure to guard the Gomu Gomu no Mi led to his dismissal from service and imprisonment.
Seems like I'm fitting the other puzzle pieces together in no time 🙂
-> ah right, and what's the deal with the small pig and the woman turned into a large pig at the thriller bark...?
^> did Law improve his surgeon skills on the thriller bark, putting people together like this? It'd somewhat make sense... he would've had to have passed raftel/reverse mountain at least before luffy and maybe even was ahead a whole "lap", and points out when he and luffy and the punk depart from wa no kuni that the other direction to go is faster, and when the 3 approach kaido's island and are confronted with 3 huge ships he says the others have little experience at high sea, hinting at him having been sailing around (or going with his submarine) for a long time already, and so yeah he probably was at thriller bark before and tried to put the people there together...
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Perona perona may be lily or should be related to the whole imu thing...
the umbrella that she has also looks similar to the mask that who's who carries (and may be her father, another king possibly, and that way involved in imu's... "business"). And if she were lily, it'd make sense that she did hide at first at thriller bark where no one would want to go to with all the undead people there, and Kuma could've teleported her there and later when Kuma even got to the thriller bark to meet Luffy's crew, the reason for him to go there likely also was related to Perona and it surely also be a requirement for perona to later have ended up on yet another lonely island (mihawk is also a solo kind of guy, just traveling by himself) filled with a dark forest and those deadly monkeys or so that zoro trains with, because of Kuma having warped her there probably to be safe again since now, luffy's crew would know about her and that'd be a risk for her.
^> the claws at both ends of absalom's crown probably indicate a bird being at the top of the world government in one piece, too, and with him having that crown, it should be him.
^^^^^
And so there is indeed this gothic girl at the thriller bark, too, with the crown and should be a princess, maybe even lily(?)... she is like a ghost and can cast "negativity ghosts" and it'd make sense then for imu to be there looking for her, and later she's somewhere else on another lonely island alongside mihawk, probably to hide from people but ultimately from imu, who may come to know about her location otherwise...
Or even more importantly, if absalom is imu and was at the thriller bark already and was angry at lily, then that should be perona and Kuma (now part of the revolutionaries) somehow having come to know about that would have reason to rush to that island and quickly send her elsewhere...
So my very 1st theory and hunch about imu being an emo was on point after all, and I even figured that in that case, Perona would've been the perfect match for such kind of guy...
Oh! And that also would explain why Kuma would send Zoro to the same island as where he sent Perona, because Zoro is strong and is a person of high integrity and would be suitable to protect her there, and I wonder then how Mihawk got on that island because Kuma may have sent Mihawk there after sending Perona there but before luffy's crew was at shaboady island where kuma sent zoro there, too. But if Kuma sent Mihawk there then he must trust him or know smth about his character and he must be similar to zoro in character then, too, rather than being a "bad guy" and then maybe more of a risk spoiling to others where perona is, though then again that risk would be low bec mihawk is a solo kind of guy, not looking for company and fine on his own.
This is just completely wrong laboon got separated because they crossed the mountain after brook and his crew
who is they? some whales? I don't remember the details tbh. If I'd remember more of the content, I surely could run a lot more quick deductions given what I know already but it's been so long and I only got back into it again recently..
but it's good to know, thx.
Absalom is dead
That's not why Kuma was turned into a robot
Hogback made the zombies
Kuma didn't send Mihawk there. That place was Mihawk's home
That's not Who's-Who, it's one of the Gorosei
That's not why Laboon is hitting his head on Reverse Mountain or how he got separated
I haven't seen this theory anywhere so I don't know how original it is.
The D. means Double/Daburu.
Everyone that has a D. In their name has the special ability to consume two devil fruits. This knowledge has been lost or concealed. BB figured it out. If you consider the implications it is actually a very dangerous thing to have two powers.
I figured out why Catarina Devon is at Egghead island! She needed to touch Saturn so she can copy his form with her fruit.
Then by that logic will Luffy get the Paw Paw fruit?
No it doesn't mean he has to. There are plenty of D.s that don't have DFs. It's just lost knowledge but once it's found out it could turn the power struggle upside down. Imagine the D clan coming out, each with 2 powers. That would fck the WG straight up. It's probably why Imu/gorosei are concerned with the D clan.
Right right but once Luffy learns, him getting a second fruit seems like a natural power up. The Nika fruit + the hands of Liberation sounds super strong
You can continue this conversation in other the manga channels. That is not a theory that is backed with evidence
Can the evidence not be the fact BB has the will of D. And is the only person to have 2 DF powers?
No
Is it weird to think that Shiki is a Kurozumi? I mean his facial features are similar to that of the likes of other Kurozumi Members
Especially his nose
My theory is that buggy appearing on Roger's ship will be the same way luffy poped out of the barrel in EP 1.
I have no idea what you have typed @aranjaeger
thank you for your service
what do you mean
I don't see why they would parallel buggy with Luffy, but elaborate on this more

Oh wait blud just left the server 💀💀💀
Is it possible to have around 5 more years before one piece finishes? I know it could be doubtful, around 220 chapters more, but it can give us hope and entertainment. It might give oda some pressure however, he may be to tired, but if this really happens, my guess is one piece will end on 1356 (56 for gomu). Thanks Oda sensei for this spectacular, on top series, I will never ever forget about it, not in a million years.
Also, since Oda did promise that he would reveal everything, does anyone think that he might miss some minor questions leaved unanswered?
3 - 5 years
egghead prolly gonna finish this year and we still have elbaf, laughtale, Final war/Mariojois
oh and lodestar island
so more like 3 - 7 years depending on how long oda wants to make the arcs
X
This is just a small theory but what if when koby was captive on BB's ship he stole a rare devil fruit that could respond to the other 3 gods we heard about. That way he can finally be considered luffys equal
Also i think the most mysterious in the verse.......Lucy and Sogeking made a crew..... no idea who they are though
hello
koby the god of water
This isn't a super in-depth theory, and things could be worded better, but I figured I would post it here. It's regarding the battle between D and the 20 kingdoms.
Long ago, the world was ruled by Gods. These gods were like the Sun God Nika, and also represented by the other celestial bodies (like Saturn for example). The people lived happily, but there were followers of the sun God that had evil intentions. They betrayed the others and tried to take over the world. Because of this, the other gods stood against and defeated the Nika kingdom and then formed the world government.
For this theory, Imu would be either the true betrayer or a second one that wanted to rule the world and succeeded.
there’s just so much variations to this theory, idk where to start lmao
Theory- Kuzan is a double agent for dragon
I will never believe that Kuzan is 100% BB pirate
I find it so cool hes a BB pirate but I think he has a different goal
woah why is my name like this
Yea exactly. I’m 99% sure it’s a situation of him having his own sense of justice and joining them is a way to accomplish his personal goals
You don’t go from wanting to be fleet admiral to a full on pirate lol
#manga-serious so you won't get yelled at by the mods

Man I hope we see Judge again and he just scowls with Ceaser and somehow Queen all skinny meets up with him and they have jerk themselves off about how much better than vegapunk they are

it already happened, without Queen though
then it didnt happen, as I NEED queen there after the succ. That way he is skinny again and the old MADS team is reuinited
don't rule queen out just yet, maybe something stupid will hapen that will put them in the game too
I'm not ruling queen out, just saying that this cover story happened already 😄
But we can't rule out Germa fleet ending up on the ship that transport the Kaido's prisoner to Impel down and freeing them
Maybe, I still don't think there's a huge likely to see queen with germa after Queen talked a lot shit on Judge his entire fight with sanji
Which mugiwara had seen Saturn? Luffy, Sanji and Franky right?
In this chapter, Ussop saw Saturn but i do not think any mugiwara expect those 3 had seen Saturn
hear me out, what if bb takes over the seraphim but by kidnapping bonney he can use her df to age all the seraphim to adults to basically have a fleet of a seraphim. The BB ship with all df users and then seraphim flying-hovering over the ship..🔥
Way easier said than done when they would have to fight through both the SHs, WG and Giants with a greatly reduced force
The absolutely max they can make into a strike force is 3 with being 1 Van Augur since his warp power is absolutely crucial to an escape
bonney only has control of the kuma looking seraphim
What if the world gov kidnaps enel to use him as the power source to replace the mother flame
If they can get to the moon and back why would they even need it at that point
I was just thinking
Why did Blackbeard come to Drum Island? My headcanon says it was to recruit DocQ.
Actually would make sense. As well as give Chopper a connection with him.
I have predictions for Cavendish going forward:
Cavendish represents the white horse/knight that carries the sun god and worlds saviour in many mythologies and slays great monsters/wanders in search of great deeds to show their virtue in European lit, often in service to a lord or king.
He's the opposite of Garling the literary archetype of the "black knight."
As the head of the fleet and Garling the head of the Holy Knights with multiple other parallels, they will be eachothers endgame opponents.
Cavendish's epithet is white horse, he rides a white horse, his ship the sleeping beauty has the figurehead of a white horse, and Hakuba means "White Horse."
In mythology the White Horse is often associated with carrying the Sun God or carrying the worlds savior in end times; similarly Cavendish carried Luffy partway to Doflamingo and interacted the closest with Luffy out of the fleet, almost as a right hand; he was also originally conceived of by Oda as a former rival of Ace's, another figure associated with the sun.
The white horse has also been a symbol of sovereignty, which as a former prince makes sense but dually as representing Luffy as the Pirate King.
Cavendish also blatantly embodies the Knight Errant/white knight in European mythos as detailed in the screenshots below.
He's the opposite of Garling the literary archetype of the "black knight" and as the head of the fleet and Garling another knight and the head of the Holy Knights with multiple other parallels such as beauty and vanity, they will be each others endgame opponents.
-Cavendish is the exiled prince of the "Bourgeois Kingdom" which has the same etymology as Mary Geoise in Bourgeoise.
-Cavendish in half and half and Imu also have a similar speech pattern.
-"Cavendish’s violent alter ego Hakuba is referred to as a カマイタチ/kamaitachi by Bastille. A kamaitachi is a Japanese yokai that rides on or takes the form of a whirlwind or razor wind and slices up people as it passes, which matches exactly with Hakuba’s speed and style of combat."
This is probably the most consequential and one of the more/most explicit Yokai reference pre-Gorosei/Imu and it's likely that Garling is based on a yokai as well; I'm at least convinced from watching this theory.
The Yokai that Garling is likely associated with is a moon Yokai known for enchanting beauty that's hard to look away from; which contrasts Hakuba's beastly self and the ways that conflicts with Cabbage's actual person.
-Cavendish parallels Doflamingo as a blonde cast from royalty/privilege, with a dark side in Hakuba.
The "Heavenly Demon-" and "Hakuba" which translates to "White Horse" as stated above.
-That is emphasized with their similar cynical outlook on humanity- Cavendish's quote in the first image being from chapter 704 and Doflamingo's from chapter 725 in Momo's flashback to Mingo brutalizing gladiator.
Cavendish's moment in the Colloseum was a direct rebuke of what Doflamingo foisted on Rebecca/the culture he constructed and showed their difference despite the mirror dialogue/shared cynicism.
-Cabbage was also the only gladiator to make it to the top of the castle/to Doflamingo and actually lock eyes with him.
Cavendish has other moments in Dressrosa where he expresses disgust for the ways Doffy treats the “rank and file” soldiers in his army; Cavendish will similarly contrast Garling.
The Yokai theory mentioned:

If Cavendish fights Garling it'll be a clash of two "beauties" one formerly and with an actually abhorrent spirit and Cavendish as actually valiant at heart.
Two different outlooks on the world and high positions representing the new and old orders.
Cavendish's ambitions are high and his real world inspiration (Thomas Cavendish) is an important pirate/privateer.
To live up to his boasts and the very premise of his character he has to be significant going forward.
With Bartolomeo bumbling with Shank's and likely being left with an arc of redeeming himself from his misapplied fanaticism; which goes along with his inner monologue pledging to get stronger and one day be worthy of serving Luffy in Dreasrosa.
With Sai and Leo pwning Charloss and Hajrudin appearing in the Ohara flashback and with a path set forward to surpass Dory and Broggy and become king of the giants; you have to wonder why Oda's playing Cavendish's future so quietly.
I think it's too tied to endgame material/lore and now we're set to see the mysrties of Cabbage expanded on as he sails to the fore as one of Luffy's retainers.
Would never happen. The SHs would chase the BB pirates to their turf with the Giants. BB would be outmatched and think too early for him to make his move
If anything BB’s best strat now is to make his moves while SH is making his not directly face him now since he prob knows about the Nika stuff by now
agreed
Time to give a friendly reminder that this channel is meant for long, well thought, QUALITY theories. Not idle chit chat to simple questions or power scaling.
I 100% know who the man marked by flames is. In the ace light novels it was said that he "defeated a warlord" meaning that a warlord(people who are genrally important in the story) was attacked by flames. Its 100% gonna be this guy trust
I dont think it could be anybody whos name we know so thats why Im guessing its another mystery dude
Hi, I have a theory I just realized and jumped staight from the bed to the computer.
In the last chapter we saw how Sanji just kicked a laser, and kizaru joked about how it should redifine the laws of physics.
but what if it was in fact something that shouldnt be possible?
What if its because the secret ability of Luffy as Nika, es to "inspire" people to do the impossible. To be able to make people do whatever they believe they can do. similar to the what they can imagine, but they have to really feel it or believe they can truly do something like that
I think Kizaru just doesn't know Sanji's lineage. It's similar to how Queen broke a sword over Sanji's head. It was unexpected
the world of one piece is just weird
like pappag the starfish had 0 exposure to luffy until sabaody and he gained the ability to think speak be like a human in general just because he thought he was a human
@normal violet thoughts on my Cabbage theory above?

PEAK! I would love to see it
Will welcome more Cabbage content with open arms
I just realized that we know for a fact that Luffy or at least Luffy in Nika form is partly inspired by Hanuman from Hinduism by word of Oda and that Hanuman has deep ties to Surya the Sun God.
And that Sun God's chariot is driven by seven white horses; Cavendish has a handful of horse allusions/dual personhood.
But also the Grand Fleet (and exclusive club despite claims otherwise at least for the moment) has 7 captains no more no less.
hanuman/anjaneya is surya's disciple, when hanuman was a kid, he tried to eat the sun because he thought the sun was a mango, to which the lord of the devas, indra had to strike him down and render his powers null, hanuman later in life regains those powers after a profound realization
like an awakening, you see? hanuman realises the full potential of his powers after that realization and its almost like life is poured back into him for the purpose of what he wants to achieve
Anyone have any Buggy theories they would like to share? (Serious ones).
Buggy has always been similar to Luffy, narratively, ability-wise.
Thanks for the added context!
I agree ability-wise, but don't agree narratively. Make your case though, elaborate more.
What if Luffy rebels against gear 5, he pushes everything aside: laughter, smiles, joy, happiness, adventure, family and his true self emerges. He never cared about any of that, instead he always wanted violence, death, despair, tension. He will become Gear Death
I think one piece is a 4panel gag comics about joyboy/Nika drawn on Poneglyph
Ok time for another theory. I think one piece characters are each 5-10 times bigger than earth. Which would make the world slightly large. I think this because if something hit the earth at the speed of light the earth would fucking explode but kizaru hit luffy at the speed of light and he was fucking fine
Why not the much closer Wano
They have a man who can fuse with the earth
Fishman have a comical advantage in their home environment
Yes
Very good fellow rambhakt
is that confirmed? i thought it was just the normal kuma pacifistas
No but Vegapunk saying he doesn’t want any of the pacifista’s with Kuma’s face on them to be capable of killing Bonney but then just not doing it for s-bear would be stupid. We don’t know for a fact whether or not she can control s-bear though
vegapunk said he made every pacifista that had kuma’s appearance, s-bear counts.
Hi , I've got a theory on the last ponyglyph, they say that it belongs to someone with a burn scar n a black ship, and in the latest chapters in Kuma's memories we notice that Dragon does have a black ship and they show us that he got his scar with time n events. So does that make him the owner of the last red ponyglyph?
Likely not, no reason to dance around the issue when it’s a figure as infamous as dragon
in official colored stuff its greenish, not pitch black. Also he had that pattern on a legband in the past before the got the face thing which makes me think it might be a intentional tattoo rather than a scar '
Any Buggy theories anyone would like to share?
Maybe Figarland has a connection to the national treasure of mariejois
Heard lots of theories pertaining to the map he has
That's not a Buggy theory.
That is a Buggy theory
What will be the name of the ancient kingdom?
ppl told me to post this here lol
oki oki SO nika looks a lot like a thingie we have called curupira!! ESPECIALLY its common depictions in kids media in brasil! It is a mischief demon! AND heavily associated with the rubber tappers!!! (quote from wikepedia:) "They are immensely fond of tobacco and pinga. Rubber tappers and farmers leave these gifts on the trails they cross, in order to please them or at least distract them. In the forest, the long and shrill cries of the Currupiras are often heard by the caboclo. They also imitate the human voice, in a call cry, to attract victims. The innocent person who hears the screams and does not realize that it is a Currupira and approaches it loses all sense of direction." A LOT of ppl assume the brasilian influence in nika was from a god named Meri which is a sun god , but it is not very well known in brasilian culture, being a very obscure tale (source im brasilian and we had to study this back there lol trust me this would be part of the curiculum. ) plus that does not have the mischief and freedom aspect that curupira has as it was a myth that basically served to confuse hunters and colonisers!!!!! YOU CANT FIND THIS IN THE ENGLISH WIKI FOR THE MYTH !!! THIS IS FROM THE PORTUGUESE WIKI AS THESE THINGS GET LOST IN TRANSLATION!!! I HAVE MORE TO SAY BUT I NEED MORE SOURCES!!!
I can agree, I never heard about Meri 🤔 But Curupira is known for his red hair, right?
To everyone here writing theories
Elbaf predictions: Usopp power up, Enel returns with his robot army, buggy gets a new member or buggy vs bb or shanks. Revolt among the marines maybe a admiral joins the revos, Dragon starts making major moves
usopp get mjolnir and sanji fights enel
Gungnir*
Vegapunk being the smartest and ALSO most humble. Got a chuckle out of me lol
so vegapunk ded and its his dedman switch
A spear that always hits its mark is perfect for a sniper
Looking at where kizaru hit vegapunk....
isn't it EXACTLY the same point the Saturn hit him
Given that Saturn was show to be venomous
Might have been cauterizing the wound
Yeah but at the end of the chapter we see Vegapunk heart has stopped so he’s currently dead
Umm, guys...
Cook king
caribou kills imu finds one piece and marries shirahoshi
Not possible his memories can't be stored
I was thinking he might reveal the knowledge he has on void century, Dk how much he knows though
Probably just about ohara because it was considered a crime to learn about it
Maybe, but truth about our world is so broad in the op world, could be any one of those things
dragon appears
I think it has to be information that doesn’t put the straw hats in jeopardy, people knowing about nika kinda puts a bigger target on his back
was thinking it's gotta be void century info or how an illegitimate cabal is running the world - would narratively make sense since it would bring the revolutions happening world-wide to the forefront and spearhead us toward final battles -- and make dragon relevant lol
Yoo, I think kizaru stabbed vegapunk's already existing hole and cauterised it, and stopped bleeding, and that's why vegapunk smiled in the last panel, knowing that kizaru is still somehow good in the heart
Vegapunk's heartbeat looks to come to a halt here, i think he may really be gone. not only that, the wounds are not the same-- Saturn stabbed higher through the chest while Kizaru shot through the lower abdomen
yet here I was believing kizaru😢
Wanji Defender, I'm with you. It's what I came in here to say
any predictions what vegapunk will tell the world in his prerecorded death message?
Vegapunk is for sure dying, I think the message only triggers when his heart stops
i think between the "what are you smiling about" and a message being broadcasted to the world it is confirmed that vegapunk is dead
Nah i dont think so cus he is currently relevent to the plot killing him would be a waste of character
No it won’t, they introduced him having 6 different bodies for a reason
I don't think Oda will kill a character he build up from enies lobby
Even if he knows stuff abt the ancient kingdom, there is no reaosn for him to reveal it to the Straw hats
vegapunk about to drop what the whole Joyboy theory is.
he low key spoiling the end of OP before we even find it
My thoughts for what next chapter will bring: we will see an ancient kingdom namedrop next chapter, I think the kingdom's name will either be Umi or Liberty.
The truth about the formation of the world government as well as the existence of the founder who refused to place a sword at the base of the throne, the king of the world.
The giants Dorry and Brogy will join Luffy and recognize Saturn from the lore of their people, they immediately enrage and charge at Saturn full pelt, seeking to kill one of those responsible for putting giants in chains, thus giving Luffy an opportunity to escape with Kizaru as his prisoner.
Dorry and Broggy are both impaled with Saturn's venomous appendages but they manage to deliver a lethal blow and kill him.
Chapter ends with a dark shadow concealed by clouds above egghead, Dorry and Broggy, both badly injured in their fight with Saturn, raise their weapons and perpare to strike at the strange shadow in the clouds.
It's not about revealing it to the straw hats. It's about tearing down the lies of the government, and telling the world about the things that has been hidden from them. This is not a simple message that will be broadcast in just Egghead, this will be broadcast through out the world. And if I'm wrong remember to tell me how wrong I was
My thoughts on the next chapter: zoro vs lucci, oda is 100% gonna blueball us 😭
crack-pot theory. If the main vegapunk dies, the other ones will survive, BUT not be able to link their brains anymore. so they will just be individuals that have the same brain as the original
Any theories of what Cross Guild will be doing?
tbh he prolly will skip past what the whole announcement was
They wanna get more manpower so they could potentially free Doffy from impel down
Buggy will be the type of guy to take everyone in Impel down. The more the marrier
Vegapunk is possibly D clan, dying with a smile while triggering his death protocol.
Yall think Enel showing up in elbaph?
Is there any possibility that "Stella" is actually just another clone?
stella turns out to be just vegapunk's clone and the real vegapunk is the punkrecords itself? idk honestly
He might have the last red ponaglyph and will relay the information on it
Random small theory I thought of. So if death is when the brain stops working. Since vegapunk split his brain into different bodies what if as long as one of them is alive then vegapunk can still be alive? I know probably the OG Vegapunk’s death most likely means that they all dead but what if at least one part of the brain is alive he could technically still be alive? My guess would be that if the other vegapunks could still function and be alive that maybe they wouldn’t be able to sync their brains anymore but the fruit would still technically be active. Just a small little thought I had
I will say though the activation of what seems to be a “final message” kinda throws the whole thing out anyways lol
Not Sure if this has been mentioned but the Giant who picked up Franky just casually mentioning a sky island leads me to believe that Elbaf is the other entrance to skypeia that Gan Fall mentioned
Would you guys think there's a chance this might happen and would it be epic?
Tommorws headline:
Vegapunk who was strawhat luffy's hostage was killed by the hands on straw hat luffy who further killed Admiral Kizaru and one of the 5 elders jaygarcia saturn
what are the chances that vegapunk transferred his mind to the satellites
I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I've been theorizing Caribou will be discarded by BB (never meet your heroes and all) and come crawling back to the SH's and no one's mentioned how Caribou blew all of his leverage by telling Van Augur and Devon what he was going to tell BB
or the satellites just merging to become vegapunk
I don't see why they'd bring him along now, especially when they didn't trust him to begin with, after he told them where Poseidon and Pluton are unless he knows the exact spot where Pluton is and even then, just knowing it's in Wano would probably be enough for BB. I can see them bringing him just to tell BB that but after that, I don't see why he'd be of any use
nah BB rewards people he finds useful, he would give him a nice spot on his crew.
... Unless he wants Caribou's fruit
Anyone else think this Vegapunk message is actually Devon?
I doubt Vegapunk would call himself humble, the intro seems forced to me.
Oh interesting 🤔
Well that lowers the chance of it being fake then
the message is also pre-recorded and coming from inside the Lab on the Labophase. would take lot to put Devon there after they were already shown trying to leave the island
Why would Devon even do that, what does she even know
Folks i might be total delusonial but Vegapunk Stela will survive or didnt even get hit by Kizaru ! by Saturn yes . So wat i mean is we had at Holograms as a Subject at the Start Of Egghead and that was never brought up again to my knowledge ! The Vegapunk that got hit by Kizaru was a Hologram and Stela is allredy in the LaboPhase ! but i might just losing my mind thata my Favorite Character dies
I was hoping that Kizaru, like Kuzan, used non-lethal attacks on him but it doesn't look good
the holograms were only tangible due to the light-pressure gloves, but we've had several characters make physical contact with Vegapunk so far who didn't have those on. so it would seem that this is the real Vegapunk
with sanji asking why he's smiling, and the screen in the lab with what can only be a heartrate monitor that is flatlining? highly unlikely
So the elders are demons from another species. Which is why they think that humans are like ants
I still think their fruits arent “devil” but demon fruits or something along those lines.
maybe they're all Oni model something
Yea theres something fishy about them.
I still think they're humans that sold their souls which is why they see other humans as beneath them even tho they're both humans. The Celestial Dragons are neither of the things in their name yet they see themselves as infallible and untouchable
Granted weve only really seen jays in action
Those were thought bubbles. He didn't tell them anything
Plausible. They are apparently from the ancient kingdom. The 12 kingdms or wtv so I guess they are humans
What will be the ancient kingdom's name?
Modern kingdom
Probably kingdom of the Dawn
Pretty sure the fact Sanji asked why he was smiling after telling him not to die and the trigger of the message indicates that the Stella is deceased. The blurry, at-a-distance, artwork for that panel hints to him being a corpse now, imo.
The paneling is great too.
"Hey, don't die!"
beep
"Why are you smiling?"
beep
message starts
I feel in the coming chapters or maybe even next chapter. They will have one of the giants see the thousand sunny falling and be like "HEY WAIT THATS THEIR SHIP!"
And catch it. And oda set up the whole micro plot of franky being the thousand sunny just to pull this one scene off
https://twitter.com/TheWillOfMarco/status/1760648989878501582
Kingdom of Dragons
theory is that Vegapunk triggered a fail safe if he was somehow killed , that would reveal the truth to the world.
yeah that's it.
Theory: Usoop eats the warp warp fruit
I think Dragon knows in advance about this broadcast from Vegapunk as a last-ditch resort, which is the true meaning behind why Shaka had that call with him at the beginning of the arc. It wasn’t a distress call out of fear, but it was a signal for Dragon and the RA to prepare to capitalize on the chaos ensuing all around the world from VP revealing secret stuff about the government.
Can we really see an Admiral death soon?
and we got confirmation the giants would be coming a year in advance because of this
"if i had a nickel for every time the thousand sunny was rescued from a giant in this arc, id have two nickels."
"which isnt a lot but its weird it happened twice"
next chapter they are going to reveal the void century?
that is a most likely event. or they will return back to the fight and only show bits of it at the very end.
are you saying thats a giant? because thats not
id greatly appreciate that you dont think im a complete idiot
okay? but like thats still horrible and racist
hows tht racist💀
all i did was make a joke based on a quote from a cartoon show
and youre calling me racist...
whatever white knight horse you are sitting on right now...
get off of it, go outside, and learn to talk to actual people.
end of discussion
i refuse to continue this madness any longer. goodbye. dont call.
dont talk to me anymore dude, just stop trying
my braincells just died💀
fr i cant with this guy 💀
nah i dont get both of u
ancient robot will rise when lufy is in giant form
but isn't this supposed to be theories
why r ppl attacking others for sharing their own theories💀
A Old post I made regarding the Nika Nika No Mi Plothole, Still relevant to this day.
Why does luffy have white awakened clouds but Robert D Lucci and Saturn D Elder have black clouds?
they're evil
Because luffy drinks milk and they don’t
Folks i might be Crazy ! But did Oda listen To Daft Punk while creating The Egghead Arc there are some Songs that fit scarely close to wats Happening in the Arc in some Scenes and then there was Shaka literally looking like that one member of Daft Punk! But i could be wrong
Idk
Ferb i know what were gonna do today
Idk about Daftpunk, but in the notes he went to a live rap show and was astonished
Y’all think vegapunk is part of the d clan too? I saw a theory somewhere saying his message will reveal the ancient kingdom which would begin with a D
I think what's likely to happen, is Devon is going to use Saturn's body and voice to skew information and orders, throwing off the WG and
This isn’t really the channel for remarks made in jest. It’s an interesting notion but other channels are better suited for stuff like that. Also be civil and respectful, same goes to you @thorn nexus .
The part about the WG having to decide between the sure-bet killing of Ace and the uncertain chasing of Luffy makes a lot of sense, i also think that's how their thought process worked. We also know there are a huge number of Devil Fruits that are straight up worse, or more mundane, versions of other more powerful fruits, so undervaluing the Gomu Gomu importance isn't that crazy (and to be fair, they DID try to secure it, or at least allocating some resources to it). I get them not going overboard and mobilitating huge amounts of forces to chase a Devil Fruit that got stolen just because it may or may not be the Nika fruit. Not to mention, if you go that route you're going to inevitably spark curiosity and doubt among Marines and CPs about why the Gomu Gomu no Mi requires so much attention.
Please provide a summary to linked posts.
I don't see how your "splitting of the one piece" theory is required for the Nika plot hole to make sense. I think that plot hole is only a plot hole if we go by the pretense that the WG is a cleverly run, almost infallible, organization. And it certainly isn't, it's run on corruption, privilege and obsession over keeping historical secrets, and we've seen from the very beginning of One Piece how flawed and unorganized the system they run is. The five Elders are buffoons who in reality have no control over anything, and Imu is most likely a delusional madman. Just look at how they handled one of the most powerful and capable men they had at their disposal, Akainu, who has to sit behind a desk doing paperwork and useless bureocracy while world balance shifts under his nose.
I for one don’t understand what the ”Nika plot hole” is
I think it stems from the idea that the WG, having looked for the Nika fruit for hundreds of years, didn't send a powerful force on Luffy the moment they got the info that he has "a rubber fruit"
Imo there are a huge number of arguments to debunk that idea while staying firmly with what's said and drawn in the manga so far, no need to go into theorizing about the One Piece and the void century to justify it
Well the reason isn’t a plot hole because it’s obviously a retcon. If you view it as a retcon, it’s not an issue. There are a lot of retroactive elements in Oda’s continuity because he’s so good in backtracking.
Shanks didn’t have CoC in chapter 1, Mantra wasn’t observation haki etc
Yeah sure. Beyond that I think the retcon does make retroactive sense with how the Marine and the WG have been portrayed so far, that's all
And we have to remember that the events of the first part of the story happened only in a few months. The WG and the marines is a huge ass organization that’s not even run very well and the world is even bigger. Information doesn’t travel fast and
The truth of the Gomu Gomu Fruit is a big ass secret, how would anyone care to react to it properly.
Guys luffy too 2 years to master his conquer haki while zoro took on night
any one thinks Kizaru just saved vegapunks life by stabbing him. That laser sword would cauterise the previous stab wound
Ace and Whitebeard are ready to welcome Vegapunk to the club.. Hole club
Don’t think this is really true. Zoro hasn’t been shown to master it. He can infuse it into his blades, much like Luffy realized he could infuse Conqueror’s Haki into his fists, and that took about the same time for both. But Zoro has not been shown to be able to do the various base applications of Conqueror’s Haki that Luffy has done
Its simple, they did not go after the nika fruit because for them it was a rubber fruit and there was a legend surrounding it that was a myth that even the Gorosei had trouble grasping as true.
why spend countless and valuable ressources to get it , it'd make the brokers and pirate suspicious and would in turn make the fruit valuable and hunted by everyone, which would " increase " the risk of a joy boy rising if the myth is true
They wanted to avoid a streisand effect , considering that in a span of 800 years, nobody awakened it so as time passed by the legend become a myth
I don’t have any theories but I’m interested in what yall think the secret vegapunk is going to tell 🤔🤔
My biggest bet would be the history of the ancient kingdom that was destroyed by what is now the WG.
That's a fact
Well i said the quote in a hopeful prediction it would be said in the aforementioned potential scene
I think it’s a red herring by oda into making us think it’s the void century history but it will probably just be about the world government
Ima say its the existence of imu, maybe well see what they really look like and their proper name
What are some theories about the void century y'all believe are likely to be true?
I think the “ancient civilization” created the three ancient weapons
What if namis tits keep growing because she ate the silicon silicon fruit?????
The ancient kingdom wasn’t perfect
I am pretty sure that next chapter won't be vegapunk saying the secret, it will continue on the fight between Luffy and kizaru
Oda will keep teasing "secrets" until the end
Who has any buggy/Cross Guild theories?
What is the one thing Cross Guild will be doing in the final Saga?
Enies Lobby used to be the location of an advanced technological city until Imu used Uranus to wipe it out
https://redd.it/1ay0rha so, this chapter made me thoerize about potential of both kizaru and saturn, as final war opponets of straw hats, and heres what i think after this week: Sanji will fight either kizaru, or saturn, and the purpose of this arc is partially to set up some of the final war fights
i think that vegapunks death is going to affect sanji, becuase he was supposed to protect him, he even promised bonney that he would do so, but instead, he dies in his arms (probably) from the hands of two top tiers... now, i dont think its "oda trying to make sanji look bad", cuz thats just agneda piece brainrot to me. I really think that oda made sanji fail in that way, to set up a connection between him and one of the two main villains of this arc, and he will fight one of those two, to avenge vegapunk
considering how old BB is and how Pacifistas and Seraphim are a very recent thing in the world of OP i doubt it
now, ive gotten a response that "sanji will just tell bonney hes sorry and move on, like he did with pedro" but i think this is very diffrent - whole cake didnt really focus that much on thier relationship, and he had nothing to do with how pedro sacrificed himself. Here, Sanji explictly told bonney he would protect Stella, but he couldnt keep that promise - on top of that, he had a stand off against both kizaru and saturn at one point in egghead, and to me that just feels like theres more to all 3 of them going forward in the plot
VP is dead, its a recording that is playing
we cant be compeltely certain, but... if hes still alive, then he will probably die soon anyway
Buggy Theory: Buggy was the Son of Rocks. Then Found and adobted by captain John and had a similar relationship like Luffy and Shanks, but comical. Years has passed, and Captain John slowly put the dots together and found out that Buggy was the son of his captain and old friend “Rocks”. Leading to Captain John in a depressing state. Captain John decided to right his wrong by decided to dump all his treasure in the sea and went on a journey by himself; leaving Buggy all alone. This abandonment made Buggy think the Captain John disregard him. So he decided to start his Journey on his own. While on his Journey, Buggy was constantly made fun of his Red nose, giving his the trauma of people mocking his nose. This also gave him the idea that he looks like an actual “Clown”, and wanting to become King of the World (so people would stop mocking him, and finally love and respect him). Eventually Buggy slept in a Barrel of tomatoes, which that Barrel belongs to the Roger Pirates. He was a stowaway of the Roger pirate. (It was the same scenario as Luffy being in the Barrel when starting his journey.)
yes obviously, its most likely his full zoan form
here you can see him flatline, so there is a big chance he is done, never say never in OP obviously
I saw multiple thoeries on this, some of them being that 1. Saturn is loosing himself to his zoan, who we now know have a will of their own, and sanji even comments on how hes stopped pretending to be human and how creepy those eyes are... and 2. i saw some people comapring Saturns eyes to those from a famous creepy painting, "Saturn devoruing his son"... i wonder if oda is actually referencing this paiting on purpose, especially if hes gonna do a pun with it (Saturn devouring Sun/Saturn devouring Son)
What SBS info will you be anticipating for?

Theory: The Cross Guild Ship's name is: The Last Laugh!
his heartbeat ceased, he's dead ( for now )
The Ancient Kingdom’s name is “Devils Kingdom”
I truly believe that Vegapunk is about to reveal the true name of the Ancient Kingdom and my belief is "Devils Kingdom".
Oda likes to make references to religious beliefs and christianity is very much among them (Adam and Eve trees, Holy land, Angelic winged people and Fallen angels with black wings - Lunarians).
The initial D stands for Devil and is a symbol for the Ancient Kingdom in defiance to the World Government.
The power struggle between the world government and the ancient kingdom could be seen as the fight between the holy angels and the evil devils, at least on the surface level but in fact we see the bad things like slavery happen in the holy land.
What I think Oda wants to show with the Ancient Kingdom is the opposite to the Holy land Mary Geoise, and that would be an evil kingdom of supposed “Devils” but in fact they are a truly joyous kingdom with plenty of freedom, a kingdom of pirates.
Labeling the Kingdom as “Evil” could be something the World Government did to turn the world against the Ancient Kingdom and what ultimately led to their demise.
“Devil fruits” in essence I think have nothing to do with the Devils at all but in fact are a technologically advanced invention by the Ancient Kingdom that got labeled “Devil Fruits” by the World Government.
Is the mariejoa straw hat giant cuz of luffy giant form g5?
Any SBS predictions?
@keen bear
i think the joyboy from the lost century was a bucaneer and that was his hat
What do you guys think about the theory floating around that the 5 elders are actually devils and not just regular devil fruit users.
?
What if joy boy was a giant who married a human and created the buccaneer race?
Theorising how that would even work
That would explain the WG persecution of the bucaneers. WG have displayed that they are willing to target anyone just bc of bloodline, like with Roger and his son ace.
Yeah exactly! I actually wonder now if it some how was Lili and joy boy who started the lineage but that's just a thought
It also could be a buccaneer but I really think joy boy was just a giant won't be mad tho if he's not
its probably just a full zoan transformation
Yo when will 1109 spoilers drop
i was just linking the theory to him mb
All good lol
Glad you liked it and I hope your friend does too!
Hoping for it
I’m not a huge fan of it just because it contradicts a theory of mine
This one
in most mythologies giants are decendants of gods/angels so it could be that by race mixing Joyboy created powerful races to rival the gods/devils
Anyone else think Blackbeard will replace Imu and be not only the final villain but also one who's literally on top. I feel like that makes sense with Blackbeard carrying Rock's will and also Imu existing in the first place, but also because of the Saturn infilitration
Until shanks becomes final villain
I doubt it will ever be so simple
We always predict simple theories for one piece but oda always throws a curve ball
What if imu is luffy’s mom?
Wasnt crocodile luffy's mom?
Imagine if oda does not reveal Luffy mother
He said in some sbs he won't
just bc oda says something is sbs does not mean it’s untrue
I guess even if it is true when he writes that, it doesn't mean also he can't change his mind.
yeah understandable
I wonder if 1109 is gonna be Imu or void century
Or a flashback
Wouldn’t be surprised
before it was revealed that the giants were coming to egghead, my theory was that enel would arrive to egghead for some unknown reason and then kizaru would beef with him and it would be light vs lightning and i thought it would be cool
but yea giants are nice too ig
I think the giants with shanks is the reason we never expected em.
However shanks did state he and luffy were having a turf war. So the giant a being the envoys of shanks makes sense. That this is the shanks and luffy reunion.

In the live action with when captain Morgan is talking to Zoro. He's like "you and I play for the same team" followed by some upclose and personal body language. Made me think that the rumors him being Gay were even truer. Interesting theory 😉
Luffys mom will end being Belo Betty.
Anyone else feel like luffy's bounty is going to double after egghead I call a billion by the end of the manga
He’s already at 3 billion so i can definitely buy that
VP told dragon he was going to die soon. there must have been a reason to that beyond sentimental goodbyes (considering it was shaka). I believe he was giving him a heads-up about his death broadcast, and that's because it'll be a call to join the revolutionary cause
VP will expose what he knows of crimes committed by the WG (Ohara, mother flame, Kuma), and spread a message of hope explaining his understanding of DF's will, and of course the return of Nika.
He might reveal a couple more things we know (void century having advanced technology?) but in general I think that's the gist of what he'll say.
What I don't have a theory for is what will happen to the satellites and to VP's actual DF...
I think Kizaru cauterized Vegapunk's wounds with that last laser
100% I had this exact same thought. No way he accidentlly shot a man who was already convinced he was about to die, straight through the chest, and didn't finish him off. If he was actually trying to kill Vegapunk he could have made sure to do it quick and clean.
I really think that theory is ridiculous haha
shooting a giant laser beam through someone's chest, where there wasn't some visible huge cavity prior or anything, would not serve to cauterize the wounds
and certainly, given his heart rate dropped to zero as a result of it, didn't help matters lol
I don't think oda is about to go into the mechanics of shock in the manga
ussop will become pirate king
you think nefertari d lili wrote the poneglyphs?
i dont think she wrote them but she made the idea
blackbeard might try to go to wano to open its borders with his quake fruit cuz then it will release pluton and caribou will tell him abt pluton
also blackbeard might be rock’s son coz black beard wants the world rock also wants the world blackbeard used hachinossu as his base rocks used hachibowsu as his base
Son following father footstep is just bad writing
bro copied his shit from a youtube video 💀
correction : i found it in the comments of a yt vid
Hypothetically, if the user of a fruit that spends lifespan in the way big mom's does were to be immortal, would they be endlessly powerful as well as their lifespan is infinite?
its might just be the will of his fruit like it is with some zoans
I think the news VP will share that will shock the world has to do with the perception of the celestial dragons. The world the 20 kingdoms created was a promise of peace but after Nefertiti D Lily left, demons usurped the throne of the world. Thats the world the 19 kings they descended from. The realization that anybody can be wiped out any time for any reason. I think the roles that gorosei have are to better understand the foreign concepts humanity have between each other and the world above. I think that’s why the government are always so fearful of something like Joy boy; because they don’t understand how Joy can be so powerful. There’s still stuff about devil fruits that haven’t been said
cook
laser beam cauterized the wound then drums of liberation restart his heart
rocks d xebec is a mink, heres why: hes a mink and a twink
My theory is: Law will be captured by BB, the fruit will be extracted from him, given to someone else and the immortality operation will be given to BB
now the immortality operation means you will not die of natural causes, not that you will never die.
If you get defeated in battle, you will die
Law already got away, if they wanted to do that, the prime time to capture Law would have been the fight he already had with BB
its possible they would be interested in chasing him down but I bet when BB hears from caribou hes gonna have some new top priorities
Devil fruits and the realm of the dead
Vegapunk introduced an idea that Devil fruit users are beings that exist in a “different dimension”. Seeing how Jay Garcia Saturn seem almost immune to normal attacks makes me think that he is somehow existing in another dimension and I believe that other dimension is the realm of the dead.
We have seen Luffy awakening his Gear 5 when being at the brink of death and resurrecting. The realm of the living and the realm of the dead are seemingly interconnected at moments and I think it ties into the essence of what Devil fruits really are.
The best way to describe it is that souls are being kept in the land of dead and they can in moments traverse realms at very specific times and moments. One of those places could be the grand trees like the Eve tree at Mariejoise and another could be the grand tree Adam which most likely is at Elbaf, and these trees are the origin of Devil fruit (Adam and Eve reference from the Bible).
Saturn summoning from a pentagram circle feels like he and the Gorosei and also Imu could have a direct connection to the lands of the Dead. Where normal Devil fruits could be souls passing from the lands of the dead into the living through the Adam and Eve trees as fruits, the Gorosei are purely dead souls NOT from the lands of the living.
Devil fruit users are living beings with “dead souls” added to them so they are two souls living in one body. Awakening a fruit could also be seen as submitting and fully accepting the dead soul fully connected to your own soul through the brink of death.
I believe the key to defeating the Gorosei is to attack them from inside the Realm of the Dead. This also adds meaning to what Whitebeard said at the brink of death, that the One Piece treasure would turn the world “upside down”.
If we think about the families that stood against the ancient kingdom, there are 19 of em except the Nefartaris who settled in Mary Geoise.
Out of the 19 families there are the 5 elders and Imu at the top. Meaning 6 families are at the top. Why aren't there any elders for the other 13 families?
If Imu and the 5 elders are actual devils then they must've invaded the royal families of Nerona, Saturn, Mars, Warcury, V. Nusjuro and Ju Peter respectively killing the rulers and shapeshifted into them or something and took on their family names and are imposters.
Joyboy and the ancient kingdom must've felt these creatures were upto something and posed a great threat to humanity even before the imposters killed the rulers.
The ancient kingdom built the ancient weapons to counter these devils. But they were too late. These imposters turned the other kingdoms against the ancient kingdom. And everything turned upside down.
one of the best theories ive seen in a minute tldr: one piece is an afro. and yes it was deeply compelling i didn't believe it either at first
LAFRO TALE 2 IS OUT NOW! Same core info but TONS of updates: https://youtu.be/jLS0kZIr_n8
I think I just solved what, where, and why is the One Piece👀🏴☠️
Why is Long Ring Long Land so free? Why did Roger stop at Water 7 for nothing? And what's with all the afros anyway?

Vice Admiral "Doll" is most likely a mistranslation. Her name is supposed to be Dhole, a type of dog.
With the reveal of some Vice Admiral names in the recent chapter, a lot of them have a dog adjacent name.
Vice Admiral Hound.
Vice Admiral Doberman.
Vice Admiral Pomsky.
Vice Admiral Tosa.
Vice Admiral Dalmatian also exist, though I believe he is not in the war.
As you can see, a lot of them use a dog's adjacent name. I believe Doll's name is supposed to be Dhole, to fit this theme.
Though I do not blame the translation team, Dhole And Doll has the same Japanese writing [ドール] Dōru.
what if koby never went with monkey d. luffy, would he still be a marine?
or what if luffy's grandfather (vice admiral) killed him instead of letting him kill arlong?
(just questions i have)
My theory abt this chapter is that vega punk had already known his death from the W.G would be inevitable due to his knowledge so he made a plan to upload his mind into egghead island since we see a picture of him pop up next to the heart monitor flatlining and it probably wasn’t a recording since he was saying “check check” so he probably isn’t used to not being in his body anymore also believe that the W.G would figure that out so they would try to blow up the whole island but the straw hats would escape with vega punk on some tablet typa thing
lmk what u guys think 🙏
but why would he upload his mind into an island that will be destroyed? and maybe he was saying check check to test the mic like people do
then why he would say " I have a message to the world " and then proceed to say stuff nobody would hear outside the island ? doesnt make sense ^^ for me it was a prerecorded message
Vegapunk last word will be "THE SUN GOD NIKA IS REALL!!!"
Can't wait for him to shout "The Sun God Nika is the One Piece" and then all pirates start Piecing the Ones together 🔥
Would the Uploaded Mind that thing in the sky be part of the luffy crew along with the vegapanks
Anyone got Theories on the Iron Giant
.. would the Giant Straw Hat at Pangea be his.
How do we know broadcast is only for Island and not the Whole world?
I have something i have been thinking about on how D Lily was the outcast and from water based race and water in all sense... would that race have cursed all devil users
because it's quite Limpid ?
Why he would present himself as Vegapunk in a whole island where everyone knows him ?
Why would he say " hello world " ?
There is also the fact that he wanted his brain to be linked with everyone in the world to share his knowledge so there is no wonder that he got the capacity to broadcast stuff everywhere from egghead
How about we think about Vegapunks Awakening where he connected to every brain in the world. And he is transmitting to everyone at once
Vegapunks brain is already in punk records
No one knows who that is
All slaves probably know
Every alien race knows it
Not confirmed that all non/human races know who Nika is we know the buccaneers and they were wiped out
So even if this is true which you’re basing off a n off hand comment and every single slave knew nika that includes Mary geoise slaves maybe the island of women and maybe fishmen. Although jimbei has never mentioned nika afaik
Either way the big secret of the world is not likely about a guy only a handful of people know most of which are already allies of luffy anyway. Joyboy may be included in vegapunks news but I doubt nika has anything signicsnt to do with it, if it’s being broadcast to the world I imagine it’s something relevant to the world
Not just “hey there’s a guy nika no one’s heard of you guys will love him”
Good point. I mean someone like Dorry and Broggy, or even all the giants knew about Nika. So immediately assume theres more people knew about Nika
Fishmen knows it , conversation between whos who and jinbei, even if not acknowledged
For example.
Same for lunarian
Same for bucaneers
Same for giants
Yeah its not confirmed
No one in fishman island ever mentioned it neither did jimbei you’re just assuming
Buccaneers are all gone we only met one Lunarian and he never mentioned it. Giants have some other connection to Nika prob via joy boy.
Nika / Joy boy, the same stuff, it was mentionned, Kaido even asked if that was the same Joy boy king was waiting for so we know that Lunarian wait Joy boy too ( so nika )

And there is this :

i think we're conflating Joyboy and Nika here. while we as readers have the omniscient context to consider that they are one and the same, that's not true for the characters. some people are aware of a historical figure known as Joyboy, but that does not mean they are aware of Nika, nor does it mean they know about the significance of the other.
also, we have nothing to conclusively say that Joyboy was or is Nika to begin with. we can make an educated guess that Joyboy had the Nika fruit because of Zunesha's line on Wano when Luffy awakened, but that's about it.
the Fishmen had no explicit knowledge of Nika. the whole point of the interaction between Jinbe and Who's Who was to show that Jinbe wasn't aware of Nika, and that Who's Who only assumed jinbe knew because of the history of Fishmen and slavery
Very true, but Fisher Tiger might had some insight
that would also line up with what Vegapunk said, that a lot of people await the return of Nika, which is to bring the point of " nobody knows who's nika " unconsistent
Kaido and King had the knowledge of Joyboy, but that does not mean they were even aware of what Nika was or what he meant.
Similarly, the giants have not been shown to recognize Nika or Joyboy, instead they have been depicted believing in the Sun God.
Nika, Joyboy, and Sun God are used interchangebly by us as readers because we have the omniscient perspective-- but that's more of an error and assumption on our part. For the characters in the story, they all have a specific relationship/understanding of one of those figures/titles, but not all of them and are not aware of the others.
What if sogeking is ussop?

he may have yeah. but for now it's unclear. though Who's Who's whole thing may mean FT did come across it at some point
That's an interesting take. My take is that nika being a myth, a legend, he's called by different name, joy boy, nika, sun god, warrior of liberation, because its the same source of legend behind it, they all mention the same dude, but through different stories heard
what if one piece is the friends we made along the way
well, we know Joyboy was an actual historical figure that existed. the same can't be said for Nika, Sun God, etc. the ideas of Nika and the Sun God are what various cultures have believed in, but Joyboy was a real person
Isn’t there a leaked video showing the full story of one piece ? Imu and joyboy where brothers and luffy traveled to the past?
No lol, well there may be but it’s not factual
vegapunk is the type to say “check check” even if it’s a recording
joyboy and nika are not the same guy
stop spreading false info
Chopper is the real son of dragon
You got a interesting bio Ashley

this is not a meme channel pls take this to one of the many meme channels
Exactly, like Luffy and Nika are not the same guy but ppl calls Luffy "Nika" nonetheless, so that's the thing 😉
( and I'm not inventing stuff )
joyboy was the entity who lived 800 years ago just like luffy who had the power of nika (like most other mythical zoans, someone or something that exists only in stories and not in reality)
Luffy has the Nika fruit. Luffy is not THE Nika. Same as Chopper having the human human fruit but he is not a human or better yet as Sengoku having the Buddha fruit. he has buddha powers but as far as we know he is not the mythical character his fruit is based on.
Joyboy was a guy in the void century who was involved in some big historical moments, he's mentioned on some of teh poneglyphs and by Roger a few times incl after he found hte one piece. Joyboy could just be a title as its believed that Joyboy would return one day (Luffy may be Joyboy) there's soem connection between the Joyboy person/title and Nika as Luffy's awakening prompted Zunesha to identify Luffy as the new Joyboy but its not clear that Joyboy = Nika or if Joyboy, if Joyboy was a specific guy who had the Nika fruit, or if all holders of the Nika fruit are Joyboy.
exactly, Joy boy was maybe the name his nakama gave him '( like " strawhat " ) but he was also probably called Nika, like people are saying Straw hat, luffy, or Nika. I'm not saying Luffy is " THE NIKA " ( and dont bring the debate into this ) I'm saying that Joy Boy and Luffy are also called Nika so the legend and stories about them probably flagged Joy boy as " nika " too ), so they are essentially the same dude in the mind of the people hoping for his return.
I wouldn't say it so definitively since we don't really know all the pieces to this puzzle yet, lot of gaps in our knowledge in this regard
Nika is (maybe ) not a dude in flesh and form, he's an idea, a spirit, a beacon of hope formed by legend and stuff , and probably became a deity that gave the fruit its name
Saturn calls Luffy nika, but he's never called him Joyboy. Where as Zunesha called Luffy Joyboy when he awakened. So the connection between the two figures is not confirmed yet anything else is just speculation
mmm sorry but the connection is made. The hearbeat connected it. The drums of liberation are associated with Nika, but Zunesha recognized Joy Boy's heartbeat, both of them shared the same power then.
Perhaps we don't know much regarding devil fruits, specifically mythical zoan ones and the figure they're based off of. We have never seen/heard of Dragons or Phoenixes in the OP world so its not clear if Mythical zoans need to actually exist.
all this "proves" is that the historical figure Joyboy likely had the Nika fruit. but it doesn't speak to anything about whether or not Nika predates Joyboy, and if so what that means for the people who believe in Nika
That could be as simple as Joyboy having the Nika fruit. It could be something more complex though that's the pt im making
precisely yeah, but the " Nika holder " of the 800 yo was joy boy, but there was maybe more before
And Nika could also be some hero of void centuries and ancient kingdoms comics too
It's extremely likely yes but idk if its been outright confirmed.
