I know what could oda be holding him back for? Smoker is obsessed with catching Luffy but he does have his morals
Allied of luffy in the future war, if my theory is correct he'll have to tag along with luffy
Though will he be an enemy or ally at egghead? If he ever shows up.
Atm an enemy because he won't have a choice there.
Idk if this counts as a theory, but here’s what I think the rest of the manga will look like (storyline)
Egghead:
Flashback w rocks crew, god valley incident
Kuma likely shows up, holds off Saturn while luffy and company escapes
Something big happens on egghead after luffy leaves (not sure what yet)
Head to elbaf
Likely some form of situation on elbaf (like some kind of tyrant, or shanks in charge of the island, and telling the giants to deny access to people)
They find out about usopp on enies lobby and admits them in
Shanks shows up, confrontation. Hat return. Shanks denies, and knocks luffy out, stating that he’s going to go claim the one piece. Leaves.
News of what happened on egghead spreads, people like Blackbeard, and other important people start heading that direction (nearing elbaf since they’re theoretically close)
Luffy and crew gets red poneglyph from elbaf (either they fight giants, or giants take their side, maybe shanks showed a bad side they didn’t like? Either way, they falll under usopps command to fulfill his lie of his army.)
Luffy heads out. People begin showing up at an in between island. Either one of the four poneglyph islands, or something different.
This is where the final battle will likely take place. Revolutionary army and world gov will likely come too. However, I believe imu and bb are two different final bosses that represent two different thing.
Bb: I think he represents the final pirate boss he has to fight. Bb is like luffy, but bad, and therefore representative and would be a good final battle against bad piracy.
Imu however, I believe represents something much bigger, and will be the true final boss. I believe he represents the deeper message of one piece, with the lack of freedom in their world, and imu being the reason of that. Which is why I also believe luffy won’t fight imu alone, and likely with his father.
Also I think the all blue is at laughtale, but that’s likely been said.
I’d recommend using #manga-serious for analysis/predictions, which includes this prediction on where the story will go from here. On the other hand, your latter points about Imu and BB could honestly evolve into their own theory; you could add more in-story evidence to give more credence as to why one character would show up before the other as well as what they represent to the story.
maybe he went with those kid to elbaf right after and he is there with them and become Father Caramel
Not my theory just saw it:
Rocks attacked god valley because he believed he was sun god Nika.
Rocks Jolly Roger has cloudy hair and what looks like to be a scar under the left eye, just like Luffy when he is in gear 5.
Since he believed he was sun god Nika, he went to god valley to free the slaves and be worshipped for it.
(Kuma also prayed for Nika to come and free/save the slaves)
They did go to Vegapunk. It's just that Tashigi stayed with the kids at G-14. Smoker's location is unknown, but some of G-14 went to hachinoso, while others went to Egghead, but I think he may still be at G-14
yeah they did. im just reading up on chapter 1061.
Or sees himself as a substitute to Nika, not aware of the Hito Hito no mi
honestly I can see that and wished to get god level devil fruits from god valley
Loki on Elbaf interests me, cause I can imagine him to be similar to Loki from the Mask movies, with his smiling face and all
Big mom's red poneglyph interests me. She had to have found it somewhere. The other ones were located on Fishman Island, Zou, and Wano (all connections to JoyBoy). And Loki had to have met Lola somehow to be interested in her. Maybe Big mom returned to Elbaf with her crew and stole red poneglyph, but Loki was willing to forgive if Lola married him
Loki casually is pulling a party trick and summons a ponlegyph for Big Mom
Could be that the GV held a huge storage of Devil Fruits the WG had accumulated, which they forced their competitors to eat, that Dragon wanted to obtain for himself and his crew. That, or an unnamed mcguffin that Oda hasn’t revealed yet.
Vice admiral doll was the marine officer in charge. Maybe smoker was left behind to hold down the fort. Act as a rear guard to prevent people from coming to egghead. After all G-14 is like a checkpoint
I think so too.
Though given smoker’s past actions and history of not following orders put especially when Luffy is involved, what are the chances he really is going to be insignificant in this arc?
so i don't know if this has ever been brought up (probably has, since it's not too farfetched), but here's my shower thought about what makes Pluton so destructive: since the ancient robot on egghead indicates, that the world has been much more scientifically advanced in the void century, i think a modern battleship is on the table. maybe even equipped with thermonuclear missiles. and since Oda likes to reference real stuff: there was a program in the fifties called "Project Katie", which was nuclear artillery shells. they even made a variant of it called W23, a 16-inch (406 mm) shell for the Iowa-class battleships.
I can see that as a possibility. For example, Pluton is a modern battleship, Uranus is a futuristic flying weapon, and Poseidon is controlling primitive sea kings.
i like that. the deep sea as the past, since life originated there. the surface as the present and the sky as the future, since mankind always strived to fly and reached for the stars
A modern battleship would be impressive to the tech of the one piece world. But wouldn’t a modern battleship still need ordinance? If pluton has been holed in the depths of Wano will it’s weapons systems even be complete? Like does it need fuel similar to the mother flame or be restocked with missiles, etc
well it's certainly not in battle-ready condition unless it's been sealed in a watertight dome or something
This leaves an open question of how deadly pluton is. As no matter how powerful a ship is, normally they are still limited by supply chains
Franky did seem to be flabbergasted when he glanced Pluton's blueprints in Enies Lobby/Water 7, and Crocodile heard that one blast from Pluton can destroy an island, but how he got this information remains to be seen
What could shock that shipwrights#? Does the ship have some renewable energy source or self-supplying weapons ?
you can make the same argument about uranus
maybe doesn't even run on oil, but is nuclear powered as well
in which case "good luck" to the people of the current one piece world, unless it comes with instructions
"don't stand directly in front of the open reactor chamber"
anyone think the WG killed joyboy 800 years ago???

i would assume nuclear fusion, aligning with uranus representing the future

The One Piece is real but it's a hidden poneglyph detailing how to get to and navigate outer space.
That's why Roger was laughing, because everyone had been fighting over a fake goalpost the entire time. You can't become pirate king without conquering the endless sea that is space. Devil fruits come from another planet and feed off dreams. Imu is an alien who was sent here to conquer Earth so we get another Kaguya ending. At the end, Vegapunk teaches Franky how to equip the Sunny for interstellar travel and Shanks teaches Luffy the final form of armament haki which will allow him to survive in Space
Wanted to know what yall think of this:
Joy Boy is a coward....Just like our favorite scaredy-cats Usopp and Buggy!
My theory is he will be revealed as a clumsy fool who ended up liberating a bunch of people "accidentally". Kind of like Buggy during Impel down and Usopp during Dressrosa.
One piece will be a diary or confession from Joy Boy revealing the hilarious and coincidental antics that led him to be a godly figure.
This is also the reason why Roger laughed pretty hard because even if Joy Boy was a coward he was a kind man trying his best.
All the "Heroic" antics Joy Boy was known for is actually revealed to be pure coincidences.
I think this would be hilarious and quite in tune with Oda's style.
Lemme know what yall think!
I think it has to be from three eyed tribe. Most special races seems to be Allies of the ancient kingdom, and they can read phoneglyps, it makes sense they had one, and big mom married one of them, possibly the last.
If we ever see their history we might know Puddings father and their relation to phoneglyps
I can see that as a possibility. We barely know about the three-eyed tribe. Seems like the ancient giants, three-eyed tribe, Lunarians, buccaneers, onis/ogres? and who knows what other races were hunted by the WG to the point of near-extermination
Oh snap! Okay one more twist to this then:
What if. JoyBoy took credit for someone else's role in liberating people.
What if. That person was... Imu.
What if. Imu and JoyBoy were friends once.
Imu obviously made the Navy so he's very authoritarian but he also belives in justice.
What if. Imu liberated people based on his sense of justice but his ego wouldn't let someone else take the credit.
Imu eventually snapped and made everyone follow his definition of justice. This meant wiping off JoyBoy and his allies off the map. He keeps Joy Boy's hat as a reminder that he can never turn back to who he was.
....unless Luffy can? 😀
hey man, interesting theory but could you please delete mentions of Yu Yu Hakusho? We don't allow discussions of other animes outside of #other-series to avoid spoiling people, no matter how big or small it may be. Edit: deleted for now. Feel free to repost it later without the YYH spoilers.

So Who's-Who states to Jimbei that he was arrested and imprisoned for failing to guard the Gum-Gum fruit (Who's-Who was caught 13 years ago). We don't know where exactly he was imprisoned. It could be Impel Down, but it was stated there were no breakouts in the past 20 years prior to Luffy's infiltration (Of course, the WG could of hidden that info). And Who's-Who stated that he saw Jimbei when he was a warlord (Jimbei became warlord 11 years ago). So, based on this timeline, Who's-Who saw Jimbei 2-11 years prior to their meeting in Onigashima.
I actually think it's a strong possibility he was imprisoned in Mariejois as a slave. A guard told Who's-Who about Nika, but then he vanished. After that Who's Who decided to escape fearing that knowledge of Nika was taboo and he would be killed if he was caught. Sun God Nika, a warrior of liberation believed in by slaves during ancient times as a savior figure. Who's-Who said he had a cruel sentence, so he clung to the legend hoping he could be saved.
Kuma's father (Klapp) told Kuma in Mariejois about Nika, so probably others overheard him and clung to the legend, or just from other Buccaneers from the past. And Who's-Who has a fascination about slavery for some reason. And he keeps his identity a secret, not just for failing in his mission and knowing about Nika, but also because he was a slave.
Seems like the Donquixote Family over 900 years ago forced the tontattas as slaves "darkest period of the tontatta tribe", but at the end of the void century 800 years ago, the tontattas were left there for some reason, not even being moved up to Mariejois. Who's-Who also mentioned that slaves of ancient times prayed for Nika to save them. I have a feeling the WG did some crazy slavery stuff during void century against Joyboy's allies after they won.
I think the bad humans Noland fought were slavers. We've seen in the auction house list dwarves are a known 'commodity' to them. Slavers kidnap them and sell the tontattas to the CDs and other nobles. I don't think Noland was directly fighting the CDs, but indirectly.
The one thing that made me thinking is about how little we know about the world before the void centry. Is legit, the WG doest care and we get to get a notion that the world has a tons of kingdoms ruled by monarchs over the years after entering the Grand line (at least most of the influential ones, Alabasta, FishMan Island, etc)
Thinking about this and how Oda started OP project to finishing in 5 years, I belive it first thought to give a Alasbasta Arc some kind of utter importance to us about how the world works, polegynphs and to give Luffy a influential personality inside WG's politics.
After Alabasta the biggest arc is Skypeia Arc, which I belive that we think to give One Piece a ending.
Give us more information about misterious beings never ever mentioned before
Thinking about that, using this as a base to 5 years project and them extending. Now One Piece is showing the importance of Alabasta again, we get to know another misterious race from the sky and I belive the next big stop will be the moon, in comparison of the sky, go to the moon would be so absurd in this world that would be "funny"
Saturn is Robins father. She's the devil child, he is a demon himself. She hasnt seen saturn yet as well
Saturn is a spider, she killed a spider in her demon form in wano. It was foreshadowing by oda that Robin will take out saturn in the final arc
Lol this is really random. No, just no 😄
The evidence is there. I don't know what else to tell you. It'll be revealed soon
Yeah that would be cool, Luffy and Robin siblings with different mothers but the same father (Dragon), which would also explain why Robin gets so well with Luffy and why she seems always to understand his reasoning methods at the best among all the crew’s members (for example when she remember Luffy who’s Marco, the Pineapple head guy, or when they silly-cute thoughts are in Sync like during Punk Hazard before crossing the river with Zoro and Usop).
Considering Robin lived her life famous and on the run with a high bounty, i cannot imagine her father would just let that happen if he was as powerful as Dragon. Luffy was hidden, but robin was a world known fugitive, alone and without allies.
Given that when dragon built the revolutionary army around the same time she was made a fugitive, I doubt dragon had the resources or influence yet to send help to her. Plus he and the revolutionaries lost track of her once she joined crocodile
That was when she was around 24.
Well its not impossible, but it would feel like retcon to me. And i dont see the advantages it would bring to the story. They are family anyway
I don’t think so. Recall when Shaka told Robin and her friends of what happened in the aftermath of Ohara. She was surprised when she heard dragon was motivated by clovers death to create the revolutionary army. So probably he kept her heritage to himself
genuinely i love this
What chapter is the second panel from
The theory of them being blood related could hold weight. Robin does have a lot of trust in Dragon. Even telling him about the Ancient Weapons. She did the same for luffy and the rest of her found family in Wano on pluton’s location.
That's a very valid point considering the dangers giving out that knowledge
One correction, Robin's father is just stated to have died during an archaeological expedition
Nothing about having been killed or by whom
Does anyone ponder how robin managed to survive out on her own for over 20 years? I get that she's very intelligent but she must also have insane luck
So... I don't know if this have being thought before but, since we know Roger found baby Shanks in a chest after God Valley, we can assume Shanks is a CD, and we don't know why the CD didn't ask for the baby back. What if Shanks was a price for the tournament? Like Figarland first introduction was talking how even CDs can be less than a salve, stablishing he sees beyond just blood. Then what if he put his relative as a reward for other CDs? (as an opportunity to marry into his families lineage). This is just a thought I had while watching a video about God Valley. The reason CD never asked for the baby back is because Roger won the prize and he wasn't aware it would include a baby
Any nice Imu theories, but not yokai?
so what if luffy dies?

I don't think the CDs would recognize a lowly human like roger as a legitimate participant in the contest
I bet the CDs didn't want Shanks back because after being raised by roger they consider him "tainted" by the plebs
Starting to think Saturn’s ability to blow up people’s head is an advanced form of conquerors haki based on the fact that it appears to be more potent towards people with less willpower
In terms of who could be robin's father, I think the most likely candidate is Blackbeard. He is an archaeologist and it is unknown where he came from.
What if not using haki was an intentional decision by Crocodile in-universe? If so, then the answer is blatantly obvious:
It's possible that the Devil Fruit abilities of Ivankov are negated/reverted by excess usage of haki, and that Crocodile is a WILLING recipient of Iva's ability.
- Law using haki to reverse Doc Q's disease was a perfect fit for this theory, and it only just happened a little while ago.
Ivankov's blackmail against Crocodile IS that he used to be a woman and came to them in order to be turned into a man. The reason why it works as blackmail isn't because Croc is ashamed of that fact, but because it would let everybody know that he won't use haki even to protect himself, which is an INSANE liability for a crimelord.
WHICH IS WHY HE DECIDED TO TAKE OVER A COUNTRY AT THE VERY START OF PARADISE, BECAUSE THE NUMBER OF HAKI USERS THERE WOULD BE NEAR ZERO! And not only that, but apparently he somehow knew that Pluton was in Arabasta, and it was part of the reason he even went there in the first place. Did he choose to eat the Suna-Suna no Mi so that he'd have a massive advantage while ruling the country? I can't imagine it was a coincidence.
The reason for Crocodile to be so determined to remain a man is actually really simple, and has possible ties into the Crocomom theory. Whoever he used to be before would have to be somebody extremely recognizable, if not to the audience, then to specific people in the One Piece world.
IF the Crocomom theory is also correct, then that would mean that Crocodile's past identity would have very VERY close ties to Dragon. Even if it were just a one time thing, I have no doubt that Dragon would at least consider Crocodile to be someone he cares about.
And if he's anything like Garp and Luffy, then he would never abandon somebody whose been that close to him.
So if Crocodile's original identity is revealed, the World Government would stop at nothing to capture him, and then use him to lure Dragon out of hiding.
Anyways, if this theory is correct, then it means that Oda must have realized that Croc not using the new 'anti-devil fruit' power system was a major retroactive plot hole while he was still hashing it out, and managed to include an in-universe explanation that not wonderfully plugs the plot hole, but also provides some immensely interesting characterization to a fan favourite.
@scarlet light bro couldn't have said this shit better
I know Oda didn't think of haki at that point, but I think the reason why crocodile didn't use haki because he lost his will/drive to become pirate King after being beaten by Whitebeard in the new world, ruining his dream. Same reason as to why Moria didn't use haki. He went into the new world, got beaten by Kaido and his crew was killed, and retreated to paradise after losing his will/drive to become pirate King. Even arlong retreated to east blue after being beaten by Kizaru & Jimbei when he knew he wouldn't stand a chance if returned to Grand line immediately after being released from impel down. They all needed convoluted and underhanded schemes to get what they want. Also, crocodile put most of his effort into his mastering his devil-fruit, since that is successful while haki is not working for him. Haki blooms in battle, but if you lost your inner will to fight for what you believe in, it stands to say your haki will deplete. Currently in the story, Crocodile most likely has haki because after Marineford, he regained his haki/willpower and courage to return to the new world where he almost died many years ago.
Is Gin ever gonna come back?
I have a sorta theory that he’ll come back as some sorta reformed warrior of Elbaf who became a new more independent man after his near death experience
Oda hasn’t forgotten anyone else that I can remember. He promised he’d be somewhere on the grand line soooo
I don't see him being on Elbaf, but maybe he'll appear as an ally during final war
i could see two options happening
1: kuma comes to teleport the straw hats, the sunny, vagapunk and bonny to elbaf or to dragon while leaving a bomb to blow up the whole place if not a portion of it (vagapunks brain wont be destroyed)
2: luffys heart will start beating louder and the robot will come to their defence, allowing them to make an escape
If a new character is introduce with it being a male and his face is covered, some fans would jump on the idea that he's Gin or he's the legendary Scopper Gaban.
As per why Gin hasn't reappear in the story after Baratie arc and not even in the Cover Story, Oda never gave an explanation on that so I can only speculate.
Don't forget that when he left Baratie, he wasn't in a good condition after inhaling the poison gas so there's a possibility that he didn't make it and went to the after life.
Let's say he was lucky and somehow got through that and manage to re-enter the Grand Line, it could be that he got defeated again and then was killed or made into a slave.
It could also be Oda's way of saying things doesn't go as planned or as how you want.
I feel like the fact that he said he’d meet the straw hats in the grand line means there will at least be a mention of him
kinda, yeah because Gin don't have plot armor, and his lack of strength might have caused his death in the grandline
Roger can't win a prize, he ain't a celestial dragon so he can't compete
doubt it no one not even AI could predict what god valley was ......
The "One piece is inside of a whale" theory sounds too accurate imo
It explains why the roger pirates were laughing so hard at the one piece. Having to get inside of a whale to see the one peice and finding out it's inside a whale sounds pretty realisticlly the answer considering Oda came up with the ending when he was young
Whale piece
There still has to be coordinates from the 4 road poneglyphs to a specific location, but it wouldn't surprise me if a whale roams there.
i believe that e1 never repped his gang
Sing Binks Sake at the location and the Whale is summoned to said location
Theory: What if joy boys crew all wore straw hats. With Joy Boy’s being the one that gets passed down with Roger Shanks and Luffy and the others are found with hints around the story. Ex: Yeti Cool Brothers wearing straw hats, Oars in Thriller Bark wearing a straw hat (so Oars the First would’ve been on JB crew), and maybe even the giant straw hat was Imu’s hat and he used to be on Joy Boy’s crew as well until he betrayed him
Wait I thought original oars just wanted the hat because of luffys personality?
that's strongly implied
Yeah, the 4 poneglyph coordinates just make no sense with a whale. Also the whale could just die. I highly doubt it. Especially since its always mentioned as an Island and not a whale or w.e.
But well, technically its useless to get the 4th poneglyph if its 4 coordinates that Form a X to the Island, since 3 coordinates are enough to find the Island.
Imu and Nefertiti D. Lili were best friends, almost like sisters, till something caused imu to hate her.
The Will Of D refers to the way that people of D make others smile, the D is a smile itself.

Just a daily reminder that there are some BB pirates on egghead.
Theory: Looks like the five elders were eagerly waiting for luffy😂😂.
Facts:
- The God Valley looks political.
- Everyone wants giants powers (except for the rubber guy with make believe powers - The reverse walking hypnosis guy is the real deal🤐).
- All those with or without bubble are clearly not facing extinction. (Except for that poor Cat).
- Calm belt is still calm even after all these years before of old technology. Only giants and real sea dragons can traverse them.
- We didn't forgot about the going merry and it's will.
- We don't question why magicarp can evolve into gyarados.(offtopic)
- Women are secretly disappearing (maybe into the calm belt... I bet Kuma's and Ivankov power are of some help along with the other 10 children)
- Sun has a special meaning to X, Y and Universe while there is no moon and the sea waves are too chaotic.
- Dragon's power is too OP in the calm belt.
Theory: Do Ginny and Nami look similar??😇
No I dont think so
Every woman in one piece looks the same except robin and big mom/big mom’s daughters lol
And boa’s sisters…
He was a pirate with 20 crewmates😉
Cut the circle into 4 quadrants... What do you get??
The rubber tree is the "Banyan Tree".
The word "Banyan Tree" is called "Nika" in the Dhivehi language of the Maldives.
The Kyushu region, where Eiichiro Oda was born, often produces rubber trees.
Incidentally, "nika" has long been an onomatopoeia in Japan, meaning a smile.
Nika is associated with Indian mythology.
Indra in Indian mythology is the god of thunder.
In Buddhism, he is called Taishakuten.
In some countries and regions, he is called the Sun God.
Indra is an adversary of "Asura" (Blackbeard), who has three faces.
Indra travels on an elephant (Zunisha).
Indra's brother is "Agni".
Agni is the god of fire.
Agni's head has two faces, front and back.
This probably represents "Ace" and "Sabo".
Indra is also known as "Shiva".
Shiva is the god of destruction and rebirth.
Shiva has a snake coiled around his body.
In Indian mythology, there is a god who wears the same clothes as Luffy.
That is "Hanumān".
Hanumān's parent controls the wind(Dragon).
"Indra," "Shiva," and "Hanumān," these three gods together are "Nika"!
Okay weirdly enough tho zoro embodies Asura rather than black beard.
I feel like people need to be super cautious about using myths in theories because of how vague and contradictory they can be.
We are talking about stories being told primarily by word of mouth. There’s going to be many different divergent versions and tying a theory to one specific version of a myth is going to be difficult.
Especially since oda tends to mix references so heavily and rarely base something exclusively on one element.
Maybe robin is the 6th gorosei since she was the first devil we seen
Gorosei literally means 5 elders there’s not a sixth gorosei
imo the gorosei and imu are just previous users of the nika df, history will repeat itself, 800 years ago, joyboy ate the nika df but didnt join forces w imu and the will passed down from him to his df, when he was killed, everyone was in search of the df but nobody was able to get their hands on it, in 800 years, nobody, not one soul, 800 years ago joyboy broke the loop of history and now luffy will continue what joyboy started (im sorry im drunk)
I actually really like this theory but I can't see it hapoening
As Kaido stated, awakening occurs when your mind and body catch up to your DF power. For Paramecia, it allows the user to have more freedom to manipulate their powers. For example, Doflamingo could turn buildings into strings without contact and use his mind to manipulate them. Or Kidd can magnetize people or objects, as well as inverse magnetic polarities to different non-metallic objects, but it would take a heavy toll on his body.
Upon awakening, Zoan-types are granted greater strength, speed, durability, and faster recovery time. However, there is a risk that the innate nature of the Zoan will consume the user's personality since zoan fruits are stated to have a will of their own. For example, the jailer beasts at Impel Down. But if the awakening is successful, the user gets a new transformation with a divine appearance and hagoromo. At the moment, we don't know what the colors mean, but we've seen white and black versions of hagoromo (good and evil purposes?)
That being said, I don't think death or near-death experience is a requirement for awakening. Kaku loves giraffes, so that's one of the reasons why he awakened. Doflamingo loves controlling and manipulating people or objects. Katakuri loves mochi/donuts. Lucci matches the blood-thirsty nature of a leopard. Kidd loves engineering. etc. There's definitely a pattern.
So I don't think death is the only reason Luffy awakened. It was probably part of it, but if his mind and body didn't match with the personality of Nika in his DF, it would not have been successful. Luffy also has a unique mythical zoan, so his fruit may have unique requirements that other awakened users don't require. As for why Kaido didn't awaken, Eastern azure dragons are usually depicted as benevolent and noble, which Kaido wasn't. That's why I think Momo has the potential to awaken and Kaido does not. It's not as simple as 'if you had the fruit for many years and are powerful, you get awakening imo.'
The whole motivation thing is actually one of the most likely things I've seen
its just so hard to accept, lol
@woeful flume what do you think bro?
Isn't Kaido dragon form actually an awakened KOI fish ?
There's no confirmation that's the case, but I personally don't think so.
what is the connection then to fish fish fruit if he is dragon ? ( im not the best Japanese and Chinese / folklore guy )
why does it have to be japanese?
Just saw a theory further supporting the fact that Kuzan is going to betray the BB pirates and isn’t really apart of them.
BB calls his commanders the Titanic Commander.
The titanic was taken down by an ice burg.
Aokiji has an ice df
garp is probably preserved in the ice, and his heart is probably frozen to make it seem like he’s dead so the others don’t suspect anything
Also Kuzan being a sword member isn’t confirmed, but it would make sense
This is just to support that theory
so blackbeard has got to be a buccaneer right?
Either an unseen member of the revolutionaries or crocodile, although I doubt the reveal of his mom's gonna be a big deal, they have always been under looked in the series
Luffy's mom is hardly relevant to the story so no
Not confirmed but its a good explanation for if oda choses to have him betray the BB pirates. After all the commanders of the crew are called the TITANIC captains so its by no means a stretch if he has them either be killed or something by kuzan (hopefully after the strawhats vs blackbeard fight)
does anyone have that one image where its all the possible participants in the battle royale
- DF fruits are born from people Dream's and Desire... Yeah. D. words.
- Probably an invention of the D clan, the will of the Dream / Desire, as a middle finger to the WG , they unleashed a plague on them by safeguarding their knowledge in the form of dream stored in devil's fruit.
- Devil's fruit were maybe not called Devil's fruit at the origin, but Dream Fruit.
- If a fruit is tampered with or badly created, it makes people Laugh instead of crying. Who is laughing all the time and bring laugh and smile to people's face ? That's right, you begin to see where this is going.
- Devil's fruit were created by the D clan and Nika was one of their creator, he wanted to bring joy to people by making them realise their dream and desire into reality, hence creating the Dream Fruits.
- The WG wanted people to move away from those fruit by calling them " Devil's fruit " and hiding their true name and origins
Very basic theory but it’s likely dragon got his fruit from God Valley and it will be a mythical zoan. I also think all of the DF prizes will be mythical zoans since with how proud the Gorosei are nothing but the rarest DF would satisfy them.
Ok so I want you to watch "shop of eternal life" (not an ad), it basically shows us that the shops runs in a sort of a disciplined loop, assuming this happens in one piece, everything is set back to how it originally was before, the very beginning. Why do you think we have no clue what happened BEFORE 800 years
The poneglyphs have everything that happened before the end of that specific 800 year loop, the wg does not want us to know what happened before 800 years ago, they're gatekeeping the information from their own top executives
The timeline in one piece resets itself after every 800 years
As a middle finger to the government yet 80% of the government uses them
You’re disgustingly cringe.
Daily reminder there are BB Pirates on Egghead.
they probably secured the most OP fruit for themselves and tried to harvest those who remained but one still troll them, that's also why they tried to clone specific fruits too.
My theory is that Imu is almost untouchable and fairly overpowered, but has zero resilience and all it takes to defeat is a good punch on the face. Something that mirrors the scene in which Luffy punched hard Saint Charlos in Sabaody (with the only difference of Imu being a very though opponent that’ll give SH a very hard time)
My theory is imu is literally the sea.
My theory is that imu is just to overpowered and cannot be defeated and the one piece is actually a weapon that luffy will use to kill imu so therefore one piece is a weapon and is so strong that it can kill immortal people and joyboy left it behind as he was too old at that time to use it and kill imu.
assuming that imu's power is to literrally raise the sea level or something related to tha sea and he planned to flood the earth for the great cleansing. joyboy knew about this plan and wanted to lift the noah's ark to help the fishmen and all the other races but since he was old and was growing weak he couldnt and wrote an apology letter to poseidon on the poneglyph which currently can be found in the fishmen island
My Theory is that Imu has the UmiBOZO devil fruit.
My theory is that y'all a bunch of dum dums that only value strenght and not consider other traits of the strawhats. When Usopp vs Luffy, Usopp literally had the upper hand the whole time and kept luffy at a distance until he ran out of ammo/devices/etc. There is no one in the team as resourceful as Ussop, and no one as smart.
People say he gained nothing at Wano, pretty sute his lie about a large army was met in Wano while he was shooting the dangos to kaidos beast crew. Not only that, he already has insane observation haki, i bet Oda gonna be, "all his lies? Observation haki, dude can see futher into the future than anyone."
Now, does he know how to actively use it? No. If he already seeing this far, dude will probably be the reason the crew survives at the end of the series because of his observation haki.
Since Ussop calls himself capt Ussop often, or use to, I think Zoro is likely to die, since he has faced death multiple times, and Ussop will be part of the big 3.
Lastly, his constant "cowardice" in Wano, related to the samurias, was pretty much criticism to the samurai way... he constantly tells him whats the point of dying etc. Not only that, most of the Oden Samurais do no have noble/honorable backgrounds and all decided to live even after disgraced. If we follow real irl history, none of those samurai decisition/qualities/etc are seen as as ok by real samurais.
Japan and the samurai are very proud and do not like to ask for help from outsiders. The fact that Oda wrote a story where outsiders saved Wano, clearly inspired by Japans history, should be proof enough that his intent was to criticize .
I think ussop will be part of the big 3 but zoro wont die but jimbei will just retire
zoro wont die
He's been literally visited by death at least twice now. Back at the end of Thriller Bark and now at Wano.
Oda references many big literature pieces from multiple cultures. The whole sun god nika has a lot of Brazilian/african folklore behind it, straight to the warrior of liberation. Zoro's "nothing happened" is a reference to "Death in the Woods" by Sherwood Anderson. A character is talking to a corpse, and is telling the corpse how he ended up on the edge of a forest. At the end of his retelling and finally admits he is about to die he says "and then nothing happened" and then he dies. If you go back to chapter 485, the one were Zoro says "nothing happened" to Sanji, he is staring at some woods.
Y'all need to read more non weeb shit. Japanese author love latin american literature and constantly reference these. "Summer Wars" movies references "The South Highway" by Julio Cortazar. When that one gets stuck on forever in traffic? Cortazars novel is completely about people living stuck on highway traffic for years, to the point people had whole lifes and kids and everything.
Usopp as part of the big 3 is a total joke. He’s like… a buggy figure. Gains clout and claims more credit than he actually earns.
Robin and Nani are the smartest in the crew, so I’m not even sure why you’re claiming Usopp has that title.
It’s definitely true that usopp will have observation haki, and will need to master it to defeat van auger, but calling Usopp a member of the big 3 is terrible. I’d put Robin or Brooke in before him.
All of you firing so many theories without any backup is there an active contest for more absurd theories or what ? Are you watching half-piece or something ? Please be more serious ,I'm new here but this looks like a group for theories not fairy tales without any backup.
What if Ryuma died from falling down stairs
False, Franky is way more intelligent and more resourceful. Same applies for Nami. We all love Usopp but he’s actually the weakest of the bunch by a huge margin.
Franky is so intelligent he could read and understand Vegapunk Projects to the point of implementing Pacifistas’ laser beam technology in his body augmentation.
Pretty sure zoro’s final opponent is gonna be Down. D. Stairs
i can get behind that theory
imu has shadow haki
Btw are there any good theories about the 4th poneglyph? I wonder if Shanks is actually setting out to look for it or already has a copy maybe and heading straight for laugh tale. The latter seems unlikely given that the straw hats will be spending some time in egghead and will probably set out for elbaf next.
What’s that?
Intelligence comes in many ways buddy... Franky is good at robotics and such... but what about medicine? So you calling chopper dumb?
Ussop is constantly improvising for each thing he does. That takes more than reading a blueprint and mimicking...
Have you heard of that aesop’s fable theory? It’s really thought provoking. Kinda sounds appealing to me.
ussop is more clever than smart
I have not read the theory, but I have read Aesop, and I do suspect Ussop is the narrator.
I would say that about Nami.
Nah nami isn’t clever really she’s more booksmart her entire skillset is an encyclopedic knowledge of one thing.
Whoever made it says that it’s wordplay. Usopp rhyming wish aesop and elbaf being an anagram of fable. He’s been fascinated by elbaf ever since he met Dorry and Broggy. I’m sure some members of the crew will be able to acquire more proficiency in haki once they get to elbaf. It is necessary because even the elders seem to have the upper hand over straw hats as of now. Also, his father is definitely skilled in observation haki coz I think nobody on shanks’ crew has a devil fruit. It’s possible that the crew might split in groups for a while to get some things done like they did before wano. I don’t think there is a lot of time (in the one piece world) before the final arc
could it be that "shanks" speaking to the gorosei is actually young garling? oda his the left eye for some reason, idk about brother, but he hides his hair and doesnt show left eye
No because that isn't how time works
Garling did not age 50 years in literally a day
No one is calling Chopper dumb. You’re making things up lol.
Usupp can be a good improviser and such but that can be said about Franky as well (just think about Franky’s Sky ladder in Thriller Bark).
You’re are really downplaying him lol As far as I know reading a blueprint and reverse engineering stuffs (mimicking? 🤣 you mad) is not a common thing. Franky is a genius, and even before the two years time skip he already proved that by rebuilding himself as a cyborg and projecting the Sunny.
But let’s forget about Franky. Let’s talk about Chopper since you mentioned it. He reversed engineering Queen’s disease in few hours, maybe less? Or let’s talk about Sanjii strategic skills and Robin’s knowledge and all.
Yeah Usopp is in the big 3, you right, in the dumbest big 3 alongside with Luffy and Zoro (No hate for these two, they are my favorite anyway).
He’s smarter than sanji
Sanjis tactics are extremely basic are 95% him being sneaky
Weird how none of the smarter people ever come up with Sanji's extremely basic tactics that save the crew.
rocks was definitely strong, he literally fought roger and kaido had him in his top 5
*park
Definitely closes the loop on linlin giving kaido his
You are illiterate... Franky uses cola for his robotics, unlike Vegapunk. Mimic and imitate are synonymous. Yes, it takes brain power to read a vegapunk blueprint, but Franky isn't really making anything himself, he is following instructions. The sunny is truly the only thing that shows his intelligence and yet it is also built on the knowledge of other people, Tom and Co from water 7. Ussop has had no teacher, and basically figured everything out on his own.
Bro just ignore this person it’s an obvious troll
reading blueprints is not simple in the slightest neither is reproducing them.
This is not my theory, just wanted to reiterate it because I love it.
“This theory will focus on analysing the history of the Giants in the One Piece world; how that may explain the recent revelation of the Buccaneer race; and that this could mean for the future of the story.
Let's get in to it.
What we know about the Giants begins of course at Little Garden, where we met Dorry & Broggy.
Mr 3 explained that, just over a century ago, Dorry & Broggy led one of the most feared pirates groups in all of history. The Giant Warrior Pirates.”
“Cut forward to Big Mom's flashback, and we learned that Dorry & Broggy were not actually the first two to hold the position of co-captains of this crew.
Before them was Beardfall & Beardhill. The oldest Giants known to this day, at 344 & 345!”
“Before Luffy, Roger, and even Rocks, the Giants reigned supreme across the New World for centuries.
Still to this day, they are regarded as legendary warriors. Strong enough even that Big Mom believe an alliance with them would enable her to defeat the other Yonko.”
“With this in mind, it is no wonder that the World Government have been trying for centuries to create giant human warriors of their own.
With an army of Giants at their disposal, no one would be able to oppose the WG. Not even the Giants of Elbaf themselves.”
“But what has tis got to do with the blood of the Giants? How do the gigantification experiments connect?
The common link between all of these things, and perhaps one of the most important things in the whole story, is Lineage Factors / Bloodline Elements.”
Makes sense to me
There’s a lot more so I’m deciding whether to just leave it as it is and just post the user I got it from on twitter or just finish it up
“Despite all of these experiments, it seems that even Vegapunk has as of yet failed to perfect the process of gigantification.
It is the last of the MADS experiments that is yet to be perfected by any of its members.”
“Why is it that these experiments have always failed? It seems the key to understanding that lies in the complex heritage of the Giants.
I mentioned Beardhill & Beardfall earlier, but even they are not the oldest known Giants.
Before them came Oars & the Ancient Giants.”
“But if this linage of the Ancient Giants is so large, where does it end? And who besides Kuma & the Buccaneers might share this blood line?
One Piece characters being unusually large is one of the oldest talking points in the community.”
“Even characters who are significantly smaller than Giants are still monstrously tall compared to average humans in the real world. “
I think that this suggests that the blood of Giants is present - to greater or lesser extents - in almost everyone.
“In fact, this theory would be consistent with the mythology that perhaps inspired Oda.
According to the Latin poet, Ovid, "Metamorphoses": Gaia, the Goddess of Earth, created humans from the blood of the Giants.”
“But if the blood of Giants exists in everyone, what makes the Buccaneers so special?
I believe it is because they have the closest and strongest remaining blood tie to their Giant ancestors.”
“It was likely believed by the World Government that the best chance to create their army of giant humans was to use the blood of a race with a direct lineage.
This is why they captured Kuma and his parents.”
Aii that’s it, there is some information not included either because i just didn’t agree with it, or I didn’t think it was necessary. If you want to read the full thread on twitter/x go to @3SkullJoe that’s who I got it from
I agree with most of it. But if they wanted Kuma's blood so bad to recreate the Giants, why kill Klapp and keep them as slaves on Mariejois where they could potentially die, when they could be in a lab like Alber/King was?
Tbh idk
Exactly
I don’t see why they would even kill off the last few people of the buccaneer race even if they didn’t need their blood tho, because it seemed pretty important that they were apart of the buccaneer race in the first place
Like the CDs treat buccaneers more like criminals for what happened in the past and their potentially ties to Nika/Joyboy than anything they could potentially gain from them. Seems like buccaneers could have the base physical strength of giants but in a condensed and smaller body. Not regular human sized but not giant sized either. But I don't think it's just a half giant half human hybrid, there's more to it, because why else call it buccaneer...
Saw a theory that gaimons island js a former hunting island for the celestial dragons like god valley was
Mimic and imitate are synonyms, reverse engineering is not 😂
I may be illiterate, you’re just a dumb Usopp fan, don’t know what is worst
devil fruits that could appear on god valley:
- kuma & ivankov (gained while competing/surviving or given by celestial dragons, could involve making fun of poor kid kuma and that's why he reacted so fast when franky made fun of nikyu nikyu no mi on thriller bark, passively angry because of the past),
- nika (stolen by roger's crew, maybe roger himself prior to returning briefly to the WG then getting stolen by shanks/another possibility of rocks d. xebec himself being the former user before dying),
- yamato (stolen by kaido?),
- kaido (stolen by linlin),
- orochi, stolen by one of his two clan members (higurashi/ semimaru) prior to returning to wano.
Luffy's and yamato's don't really make sense imo, but everything else sounds good. It's also possible it could be just DFs like giraffe fruit and soap fruit for example. Or it could be clone-clone fruit and barrier-fruit they stole there. Infinite possibilities honestly.
Did WB have his fruit before GV?
We don't know yet
Don’t those chest contain just treasure? When rogers and ray opened one it had shanks, but underneath him was gold, jewels etc.
I would bet on Dragons DF over Yamato or Iva
I like the idea someone mentioned earlier that the Nika Nika No Mi was found by Roger on laughtale. And that nika pretty much left his Power there for someone to find it. But the Infos on the poneglyphs + rogers imminent death due to illness stopped them from using it in their Crew but rather keep it for someone special like rogers son. With the "capture" of roger, marine/wg got the fruit but it "escaped" due to its will
Theory: luffy is free to do anything with his devil fruit. Does that mean he could possibly create a devil fruit too? Maybe nika is the one who created them to fight the world government? The actual nika not the person who ate the devil fruit after .
we don't know what is possible with Luffy DF's. But since the Smiles ( fake devil's fruit ) bring smile to people's face like if the inner nature of the fruit is joyboyish... All is on the table I'd guess
It looks like part of Kuma's fruit also caused him to have his bear ears. He's seen in Bonney's flashback with normal ears. Unless the ears appear to be part of his cybernetic enhancements, I don't think he'll get his fruit at god valley
Who thinks that skypiea and dressrosa were possibly foreshadowing egghead?
Enel was a self declared god. So was Doflamingo. So is Imu.
Before the straw hats actually fought Enel or Doflamingo, they both sent one of their men. In Skypiea it was Satori. In Dressrosa it was Vergo. In Egghead it is Saint Saturn.
you think imu gonna showup at egghead?
Maybe.
It is probably unlikely, since Luffy and the Straw Hats probably aren’t ready for Imu’s potential power.
I think given luffys character and his crew, his power (true DF power) is probably related to making people’s dreams come true. Zoros to become WSS, sanji find the all blue, Nami to draw a map of the world etc. We also know that DF are possibilities of human evolution, but that really means desires of humans right? It’s not like turning into magma or ice is a possibility for human evolution, but more like the ability to control those elements is a dream of humans.
i dont think yamatos fruit was taken from godvalley that is a wano deity so i think he got it after taking control of wano
I dont think yamato was even born at the time of god valley
dude it was in WG's possesion and shanks robbed them for the DF. Thats why who's-who was inprisoned cause he failed to gaurd the fruit
Considering we know that kizaru and high marines do actually know that saturn is a demon / demon zoan user, its very hard to argue that shanks doesn't know it as well.
So it in my opinion, it makes his interaction with the gorosei have a different meaning.
-
They sensed him and were distracted BEFORE they saw him when he was behind the door and didn't come in yet.
-
the gorosei told him as if they were protecting their own asset or interest and try to warn him: "Considering your STATUS, you should stay away from politics."
I don't think shanks is a holy knight because first because he's a yonko, and second even if he were a holy knight, its not something that would make him "stay away from politics" or hide yourself in the holy land as a holy knight. -
even though he might not actually be a holy knight, they did say that they made time only because its him.
which must say that there is something specifically different about shanks's status.
I claim that if we consider that shanks actually does know that the gorosei are demons, and it seems like he does, his "Status" Could be the one of the candidate to replace imu, or be the next body that imu, or even their slave in secret or something because they have some sort of leverage on him.
It just doesn't make sense that he would have ANY kind of beneficial conversation with the gorosei if he knew their true nature, and if he does know - then he must be in a way "in on it".
What you think?
I appreciate your logical take. I'm not sold on candidate for Imu, but definitely Figarland family has special status than regular CDs. He wanted to speak to them about a certain pirate, which is probably BB but we don't know for sure due to his impending threat. He tried to warn WB, his enemy as Shanks himself stated, but WB didn't listen, which resulted in Ace being defeated and a war starting. He stopped Kaido heading towards Marineford to prevent more senseless chaos and destruction. Gorosei and Shanks may have different goals, but their common enemy is BB and they want to maintain the balance of power.
Remeber what mihawk said about luffy?
that he has the most dangerous ability in the world, and that's recruiting people for his cause, i believe luffy is gonna do that on BB.
And because BB is a D, most likely he will find himself on the same side as luffy after a major defeat or something, as a natural enemy of the gods.
I could see that. WG is the real enemy. BB is a bastard but he's probably only like that because of something in his past with WG, as seen with most of the emperors
only thing left to say is i hope WW3 doesnt start before we find out what the one piece is
It's just because he got holy blood coursing his veins. If he's related to Garling, Garling is pretty famous and respected amongst Celestial, so his son , despite who he became, still got " holy " blood in his veins and the Gurusei value this. Since they seem to idealise fellow celestial buddies. "Because it is you, a Figarland heir , we make time "
Then why would they gorosei tell him to stay away from politics during the reverie considering his status?
Because an Emperor has nothing to do with politics, and if an emperor meddle into the politics of the WG, he can overthrown the balance of the world if he ever come to make alliance and sway king's opinion, for example. He's a pirate, pirate don't do politics.
Valid point, it could be that.
Everything is kinda too blurry with shanks to know for sure at the moment
We know that the balance of the world , according to the gurusei, relies on Shishibukai, Emperors, marines ( and WG ) if two of these group began to collides and deal with each others, then it's source of future mess
fact the gorosei care so much about balance and shanks is the one upholding it. balance is what keeps WG at their best
Usopp will become a giant when they enter elbaph
He already has a giant nose, time to grow the rest of his body
by the way, I am actually thinking that what if luffy's mom is a buccanneer?
got 2 question,
- how big is one piece world compare to earth
- how long is one day vs earth day
We don't have official confirmation for either of those questions, but One Piece world seems to use the same 365 calendar system since characters have birthdays listed in Vivre Card databooks, and dates are sometimes mentioned in the story from January 1st to December 31st. And there have been instances of the time being shown in the same fashion as our world. The moon also has different phases throughout the story, so seems similar to our world. It has been stated that there are over 20 million islands, but that could refer to archipelagos, tiny islands that you can barely stand on, etc. I personally think the One Piece world is the same size or slightly smaller.
Maybe Mihawk is connected to the holy knights because of his cross necklace, sword and boat. Also why he’s friendly with shanks
Any good recent theories?
Just as a sidenote. One piece world does have multiple moons if we are to believe the ohara guys
I think Garp look sorta buccaneer ish
I think Crocodile and Mihawk used to be on the same crew and captain John was their captain. The reason why they're both so distrustful is because they saw their captain get killed by his own crew. That's why Crocodile hid his identity from his crew and Mihawk didn't have a crew
I don't think any of the elders or celestial dragons use crosses infact they seem to use the world government symbol as there cross
We don't know that for sure. Everytime we only see one moon in sky throughout the entire series. It could just a geocentric model of their solar system with several planets (not saying it is actually geocentric, but that is what the model is)
Idk ohara would probably have studied enough to know how the model would look right? I mean I guess there not scientist but we do know vegapunk was friends with them
That's making an assumption though. If there were multiple moons, we would have seen more than one at any given time throughout the entire 1095 chapters thus far. This is a geocentric MODEL of their solar system (not saying that is how the One Piece world works, but that is what Ohara has a model of). They are archaeologists, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are fully aware of astrology. This has happened in real life believe it or not.
I don't buy that 30 year ago in the one piece world they didn't have telescopes especially with vegapunk being friends with them. Personally I feel we both are making assumptions tbh but we do have a model that does shows the satellites. It's also possible someone destroyed thess moons but the actual one piece planet looks up to date
Also considering these guys knew more about the one piece world than any one else outside the world government feels more of a hint than just a model
Yea I think we can agree that we don't know enough to make assumptions, so I personally can't say those are all satellites or celestial bodies at the present time. I do think the moon we see throughout the story is the large one leftmost in the image, because it matches with enel's cover story
I believe that shanks and his crew will have weapons with dfs in them just because
Akainu will be the next strawhat
It’s very likely a historical relic they are archaeologists and it’s a relic of a geocentric model of the universe
I think Mihawk is Kuina bc LOOK remember after Zoro and Kuina's fight they train and soon later the revolutionary army appears and shows Kuina and Zoro training and if Kuina sees an opportunity to be a male she'd do whatever it takes to do so giving her a chance to fake her death and have Iva switch her gender, sneak on the revolutionary ship and become mid he is today further explaining Mihawks liking of Zoro. possibly in the future, The Strawhats might have a fight with the cross guild and Zoro will fight Mihawk to the death and if Zoro wins as a reward he'll give him the information that he is in fact Kuina (This is a Theory so if u think its stupid idc)
You do know that Mihawk is alot older then kuina and Mihawk was at Roger’s execution
The only person who kuina could be is tashigi, other then that she’s dead for good
I believe Luffy's last dream is to throw a food banquete spanning the entire world. Luffy has always ended EVERY big adventure with a huge food banquete. How childish of a dream cant you get for someone as simple as Luffy whose whole life is defined by food. As an added bonus One Piece mght be a huuuuuuuge one piece of meat that has been set cooking for the last 800 years by joy boy, ready in time for his incarnation to share it with everyone. And Noah is probably where this whole celebration is happening.
Gol D Roger was 20 years too early on the cooker timer which made him laugh in tears.
oh
Holy moly this is one of the best theories i've ever read
Haha, and to tie even more things together the ancient weapons may not also be weapons of mass destruction. But huge powerfull food preparing machines to grill or cook the One Piece of meat. You can only liberate people if they can all eat together.
That foreshadowing banquet when luffy and other were dancing near fire can also tie up to this. Basically nika is all about throwing parties with food
Every big adventure ended up with a big party the biggest adventure can only end with the biggest party the world has ever seen. This is further emphasised by Oda where Luffy mentions Sanji is crucial to his dream. The legendary all blue cook will cook for the world with the ingredients of all the seas combined.
Kumas paw symbol looks like three ppl sitting around a sake dish like luffy ace and sabo
I think it is to give the One Piece away to the people of the world
He doesn’t know what it is how can it be his dream if he doesn’t know what it is.
Ok ur reaching too far
💀
@dusty cypress thanks 🙂

He knows it's real and it's an actual treasure
since this channel's for in-depth theories, do you have any in-story evidence/reasoning to prove that Luffy wants to give the One Piece treasure away to people around the world?
Luffy’s dream theory: Based on the crews reactions and Luff’s speech to Momo in ep1080. Luffy’s speach he’s telling Momo that momo is the one to allow the people of Wano to be free, where they can eat and play whenever they want. Now thinking through each saga: Drum Island, Alabasta, Robin CP9, etc. The main thing the crew is doing is helping someone free their country so they can eat and play. I believe this is Luffy’s true dream is that he wants to free the entire world so they can eat and play just like him whenever they want. Luffy says being Pirate King is not being the strongest but the one who is the most free (aka eat and play).
Yeah I've seen the idea before but anime makes it more clear. I could definitely see it as 'I want to party, eat, drink, etc. with the entire world'. That's such a childish and absurd idea that all countries in the world can just party at the same time. Roger's dream = Luffy's dream, and we've seen Roger party with his crew, but I'm not 100% sure on this idea yet.
After seeing the latest OP episode this theory becomes even more plausible. Luffy's life is literally food and enjoyment he innately understands to attain such life style is to be the freest person alive who can do whatever they like aka the Pirate King. Not to rule but to party and enjoy food without rules or restrictions.
Noah becoming a huge party boat where the whole world is invited, floating literly on top of All Blue where Sanji is cooking for people on it across the entire world is a wholesome ending.
Ooo I like that. I haven't heard that one before
Thanks man, I have watched OP for so many years and this is the first time I felt I contributed something to this massive amazing community sharing the same love for OP.
Daily reminder there are BB Pirates on Egghead.
This is real
my theory is that law will perform the immortality surgery on bepo
has anyone brought up the possibility of kuma coming to egghead to get the strawhats, vp, and bonney out? He'd probably sacrifice himself again and it'd make a nice parallel to sabaody
Oda once hinted that a lurking legend would appear during the wano arc and would be one of the greatest enemies the stra hats will face.My theory is that the lurking legend is Shanks cause it fits in well he is the strongest person we have seen in the entire wano arc
Per the channel’s description, do you have any in-story evidence/reasoning to support that claim?
It’s an interesting idea, but let’s maybe use #manga-serious since it’s more of a prediction
!theories It’s well-written, but this is not a theory. Please use #manga or #manga-serious if you’re looking to share fanmade passages like that.

These “giants” at punk hazard that are prisoners could actually be bucaneers. Also joy boy could be a bucanner and that’s why kuma and his father knew about who joyboy was, he was a descendant of the bucanner race. The frozen strawhat we saw that imu is storing was normal sized, after first ppl speculated that joyboy was a giant, but I believe he was a bucanner and it explains why the sh was that large
Does anyone backing up the theory that brook can be aokiji’s grandparent/father?❄️🗡️
I forgot about this ty for reminding me 😁
good theory dude— definitely makes sense. especially considering the variations in height which would check out if giants and humans were able to procreate… except HOW. HOWWWW
After examining the panel, I don't think these are buccaneers. IMO, it's more like to be giant prisoners from impel down that were frozen by WG scientists to be researched for gigantification. But what piques my interest is on the far right looks like a smaller Zunesha. ((Correction I thought the guy's arm was a trunk, but still weird lol))
Every Poneglyph was part of a gigantic wall located at laughtale , after the ancient kingdom was defeated the user of the bara bara no mi used his awakening to divide the wall and the D. people scattered some of the pieces, joyboy used his power to transform the remaining poneglyphs and island into rubber to protect them from some ancient weapon , the first thing Roger and crew saw when they got to laughtale was all the remaining poneglyps bouncing off the ground of the island continuously

Is it just me or does it seem like there is a elephant like zunesha on the right ?? Sorry seen someone else pointed it out
One Piece Theory: Zoro (Actually) Dies
Zoro Will Fight Blackbeard For Luffy, And Will Get Killed. He Never Accomplishes His Goal, And His "Getting Lost" Gag Was Foreshadowing That He Would Never Achieve His Destination Of Being The Best Swordsman In The World
while that could be a good foreshadowing it wont happen cuz if it did the backlash could make the story not good and frankly oda would not do it
another fan of half-piece . You are in the wrong channel.
i don't think that'll happen i mean if that happens the zoro's character would be such a waste
My theory is that Sanji will be the straw hat who is gonna die, due to what he told to zoro in Wano
but he survived and controlled himself and that matter was closed there itself....well i can't say much if he uses his suit again
yea but what if he has to use his suit again to save one of his friends and loses control
He doesn’t have the suit and his “lack of control” was just Queen messing with him
yea that's why i said i can't say much if he uses that suit again
some of us are really reading two piece
but was it not using suit his that triggered his genes???
i think so
He's gonna get a nosebleed again 💀
no tell me did i get some thing wrong...i thought using his suit triggered his genes which resulted in transformation
thats what happened
ohh ok so i'm not wrong the way he stated i thought i got it wrong
Bro the latest episode was so trash
bro shut up, I just shared a theory there's no need to be rude
He was rude but afaik shorter theories like that generally go in Manga-Serious
Don’t be rude. If you have an issue with a theory, you can bring up your concerns without being insulting to another user.

Sorry
sorry
Could you please give a bit of a summary for what this theory entails? 3-4 sentences should be enough
it includes my theory that the one piece is the world flipped upside down, supported with evidence from the story and I also provide a check list for what the one piece is
Gotcha, it’s just that whenever ppl share theory links here, we ask that they say a few words about it so the rest of us know what it’s about before clicking it. You don’t need to be exhaustive about it here if it’s already detailed in your link. Just a few sentences introducing it is enough
yeah thats understandable, what I sent is enough yeah?
You’ve stated your premise pretty clearly. If you could add 2 more sentences about some of the pieces of evidence/reasoning available, that’d be enough.
That goemon theory might have traction
https://docs.google.com/document/d/13HJPt5VXpNvRu-S0-bWk7SuCj7ixyXys20VlJIv5pUY/edit?usp=drivesdk
my theory is that the one piece is the world flipped upside down(literally), supported with evidence including wordplay from Oda (quotes from Roger and whitebeard), narrative and thematical soundness with a criteria for what the one piece is. @steady prism this good?
The One Piece: A Theory The One Piece is the world flipped over. Upside down. Given the emphasis on the first panel (see below) where Roger said we have to check the WHOLE WORLD, he literally means every part worth exploring, more or less. There is also Roger's lines below here perhaps taken L...
Think Garp will die.. BB will hand him over to create his paradise. WG and akainu will decide it would be best to get rid of him and place the blame elsewhere. Once the truth is found out I think that could split the marines into the extremism akianu, wood guy, kizaru WG vs senogoku, Koby + sword, and fujitora, probably a long stretch but would be nice to see some internal drama play out in the marines other then a off screen fight
doubt sengoku will be able to fight, but if it involves that, i think he'll be able to do one last fight to defend his dead buddy
Definitely got to see that Buddha form one more time 🥲🥲
facts, or at least he should die so someone else gets it, like it would lowkey make sense if someone assassinated him, hes retired but the previous fleet admiral at the same time
Indeed didn’t even add kuzan since he’s with bb. But can definitely see him lashing out if it happened

Spoke
Okay the pieces fall into place. Between the revelation that shanks has a direct line with the gorusei and the reveal of garland it's safe too say shanks is not a relation too Rox, and since we haven't seen anything outside of Roxs silhouette. And we know shanks and buggy grew up together. We know where shanks was found but I'm not sure if we know about buggy. My very calculated guess is behind that silhouette is a big red nose. Buggy probably found by Roger after defeating Rox.
!theories @idle sleet thats more of a question for #manga-serious , as this is a channel for long form theories rather than individual questions. Thanks!

The Pinnochio Theory - Luffy's Dream as seen on Party in Skypeia
Half-baked theory:
The red line is actually the world serpent laying dormant that imu will awaken in the final battle.
When it awakens the sea-level will drop reveling continents and destroying Fishman Island. It will also create the all blue and let brook see laboon again. Nami can also make the first map of the world.
I still wanna see Nami lose an arm and a leg
Franky can make her that mechanical arm and leg and she can get that big ass battle axe
from her original design?
Yup
I’m gonna post what I said in the other chat here cause I still like my ideas
Possible straw hat power ups that I want to see , nami gets that big ass battle axe integrated with the climatac and mechanical limbs , usopp gets crazy powerful observation Haki , chopper can activate whatever ability the human human fruit has , robin actually starts brawling throwing punches and blowing up shit with the hana hana no mi , Sanji and his exoskeleton get crazy durability, franky gets green blood , zoro taps into the I can cut anything bit that we saw in alabasta, jimbe dosent need one tbh , brook has infinite revives cause of the soul soul fruit and it kind of works like big moms devil fruit , Luffy straight up gets even more busted toon powers
Since it’s just power up predictions/hopes, it’d be best to use #manga-serious instead since it isn’t really a theory.
Interesting thought. Do you have any evidence/reasoning to support the idea there’s such a being inside the red line?
Not specifically, it was one of the pre-coffee ideas.
Naritiviely(sp) I cant imagine luffy punching out a whole city killing everyone inside, now if that city is actually a world sized snake, along with the giants calling it the bloody serpent, and the sea-level rising when a island is pushed under by imus weapon. It's just a bunch of little pieces.
nerona imu created and/or is maintaining the red line;
nerona imu backwards would be umi anoren, the word umi means “sea” in japanese and a “Noren” happens to be “a divider made of fabric”. And Thus, we come to the conclusion that umi Anoren means sea divider. You know what also divides the seas in one piece? Thats right, The red line. This could potentially mean that Nerona imu, took active part in creating the red line and that he (or his descendants) have been maintaining the red line since who knows how long.
@tired pollen please use #other-series to talk about other mangas (use spoiler tags there too).
i can imagine luffy (and the other fishmen) destroying underwater fishman island when they migrate to the surface in order to get rid of the “scar” that remains of the discrimination that found place over the course of 800 years. Just like he did with nami’s room in arlong park
What if the 'destruction' of fishman island foretold by Shyarly was symbolic instead of direct. The 'destruction' being luffy breaking the long standing stereotypes and discriminatory actions from humans towards fishmen, as luffy likes freedom so much, this would make sense. Luffy 'destroying' fishman island is him destroying the barriers that seperate the two races.
It’s very likely both literal and symbolic the destruction of the redline would destroy FMI and create the all blue
that’d make sense because, i can’t really see anywhere where the grand line and red line dont cover, meaning the all blue can’t exist
I imagine luffy smashing the red line and the giant rubble fall down on fishman island
And also if the rubble of the redline would fall into the ocean, the water level would rise even further
how would luffy go about doing that though 💀 even bajrang ain’t big enough, only way it could happen is quake quake or somehow is sabo found the core and did his magic. However, that IS far into the future so who knows, it might not just be luffy alone, maybe the grand fleet, elbaf, many of the other kingdoms he’s saved, the crew.
I think because we see kaido in king/alber's backstory when they escape out of a scientific facility so Kaido either got captured after god valley and escaped with king or king was also part of rock's crew with kaido after they escaped
Gear 10
Is it only me or have goda foreshadowed the kaos around the world? like WG colors and color of a country now in war, the lying in social media remind you of a sertain country’s 🤥 wg is real
Hey guys, this is an updated version of my awakening theory that I've already posted, now all put together, trimmed, better formatted, and with some more evidence based on new chapters 😉 This theory will have 5 sections, so get ready!
Part 1: the mindsets of awakenings
Part 2: speculated awakenings/non canon awakenings
Part 3: who isn't awakened?
Part 4: zoans and their links to death
Part 5: the true heavenly demon: saint jay garcia saturn
1/22
The mindset of awakenings
Now kaido seems to know a lot about devil fruits, so I hold his words about them in high regard. Kaido says that “your mind and body catch up to your powers”, meaning that you need to be physically strong and have the right mindset. The mindset in question is the mindset of whoever wished for that fruit in the first place. After all, we know that devil fruits are the manifestations of the desires of other people, as told to us by vegapunk
2/22
Doffy is the simplest to pin down. He's a manipulator, and strings are usually the symbol of a master manipulator. He can also use those strings to move someone's body. He also is stated to want to take over the world, and in this panel he is explaining to law how law was to be used as a puppet. Kata doesn't make much sense at first, but why would anyone want to be a food? Well mochi is a food that can be molded into almost anything. Just like mochi, katakuri molded himself into the perfect older brother. The only reason he got strong was to protect Brûlée after she was injured, not wanting anything to happen to her anymore. He’s seen to all as this perfect being, but to Brulee, just her older brother who she loves dearly
3/22
Law trained from a young age to be a doctor, wanting to save people. He had lots of trauma from doffy and the white lead disease wiping out his family, becoming a cruel shell of his former caring past. But once doffy was defeated, he also had a talk with sengoku. Sengoku reminded law that just living and remembering corazon was the best way to honor his memory, reinspiring law about love. he started to chill out more and have more fun with the straw hats/kidd, as shown in the fight on the rooftop. It may sound cliche, but the main reason someone would want a powerful surgeon power that can save lifes is if the user values life and all the love and joy that can come from it. with his amount of power he awakened rather quickly. Kidd is shown to be working with metal as a kid (haha very funny what a joke kidd a kid), building toys from scrap. He most likely always had the mindset to awaken, but he reached the strength needed at a similar time to law after dressrosa.
4/22
Luffy had the mindset to awaken for a while (wanting to be free), but I think zoans have a second requirement to awaken, that I’ll get into later. Something else to mention for luffy is that while the goal we know he has is being pirate king, he also has another unknown goal. While I doubt this is the goal itself, he seems to want to make a world where good people don't have to suffer, by saying he wants a world where his friends can eat as much as they want. Joyboy is said to be a liberator, so luffy wanting a world where good people don't suffer lines up with that as well.
5/22
Lucci already had the mindset of a cheetah (cold, ruthless killer) even before he got his df. Now my personal favorite to talk about is kaku, as the mindset for the awakening is by far the funniest. When he first ate the fruit, he was bummed out by the fact it was a giraffe. However, he started coping to zoro almost instantly about how much he "loves giraffes". Over the years, kaku might have actually gaslit himself into loving giraffes. In all honesty, the only person that would want to be a giraffe is someone that LOVES giraffes.
6/22
Now, a big question you're probably all asking is "Jupiter, what about the jailer guards? They're awakened, but they're all mindless beasts". Well the way I see it, they are forced awakenings. What this means is that they have a new form due to awakening, but it's different to the awakenings of kaku and lucci. The closest thing we have seen to these awakenings is monster point. While some people think that monster point is chopper's awakening, I think it's a forced awakening as well. My proof? look at a normal human (like the guy below). now look at moster point. now realize monster point isn't a human. the awaking of the hito-hito would be expected to look like a prime human (like the rock below). instead, it looks like an actual monster. Plus, it literally is forced by taking a rumble ball and when first introduced, chopper is a mindless beast similar to the jailer guards.
7/22
speculated/non canon awakenings
Let's go over who might already be awakened. First up is the character that made me want to talk about this, yamato! Now I already talked about how yamato has white clouds like luffy, but there are many other things that point to a potential awakening. First of all, yamato has the Inu Inu no Mi Moderu Ōkuchi no Makami, which translates to Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Large-Mouthed True God. the Large-mouth true god is the deification (the act or process of exalting to the position of a god) of the extinct Japanese gray wolf, which was a protector of humans. Yamato hates kaido so much due to his enslavement of the wano people. Something that people like to point out to refute yamato being awakened is the fact that in both of his forms there are white clouds. However, it has never been stated that awakened zoans only have one form. It’s true that we’ve only seen lucci and kaku awakened in hybrid form, but thats for combat. We havent seen them use full transformation yet as thats more mobility based. And refuting the arguement that "luffy has an awakened zoan", luffy doesn't know he has one. He still thinks he has the gomu-gomu no mi, and it's shown that other inexperienced mythical zoans aren't always able to control their transformations at first (momo)
8/22
The admirals might also be awakened. Speculation about logia awakenings is that they might be able to permanently change the enviroment. Akainu is always angry and stops at nothing to destroy what is in his way, just like magma. Aokiji is a very chill (haha funny joke me) person. While I am reaching on this one, aokiji doesn't really kill people (saul was frozen in a way that would most likely let him thaw out), and freezing people seems like the type of power a powerful pacifist would have. And obviously if akainu and aokiji are both awakened, it makes sense how punk hazard is like this.
9/22
A quick shoutout to the WOAT (worst of all time) blackbeard. He has the logia fruit yami-yami no mi, which is unique in that it doesn't allow intangibility. However, it does have some unique powers. it can suck people in and cancle devilfruit powers. It can for some reason also make him feel more pain???? While an awakening for the yami-yami would have unpredictable powers due to the nature of it as a fruit, we can reasonable speculate how it will/did awaken. Only a truely twisted individual would want to seep the world in darkness, and seeing as how blackbeard is a villain, that's a very clear goal for him lol.
10/22
Next, this part isn't as important as I talk about filler here (although it was filler specifically supervised and directed by oda), so you can just skip down to the next part if you want. In one piece film gold, gild tesoro is the antagonist with the awakened goru goru no-mo, or the gold gold fruit. Stella was a slave that gild loved, and who loved him back. She was unfortunately bought by a celestial dragon due to gild not being able to afford to buy her and free her. After she later died, gild resented his lack of money and grew a hunger for it (in a twisted but similar way to nami), stumbling across the gold gold fruit. Due to his insatiable lust for money, he later awakened it.
11/22
who isn't awakened?
Big mom also didn't awaken, and also had to do with her mindset. While big mom was definitly evil, she wasn't evil in the way I see the fruit used. If someone was scared of her, their soul would be taken. However, she also wanted to be loved by some people and respected by others. The way I see it, to awaken her fruit you would need to be pure evil with no love in your heart at all. Next, all the dinosaur fruits. I would say about 9/10 people that want to be a dinosaur are little kids. To awaken that power, as ironic as it seems, i feel like you would need to have the joyous wonder of a little kid or at least love dinosaurs as much as kaku loves giraffes. Finally, whitebeard. Now this is a special case in that I think this power SHOULDN'T awake. You see, the entire purpose of the gura-gura no mi is to destroy pretty much everything. An old whitebeard was able to shake marineford at its roots. To awaken this power, I believe the user must want to genuinely destroy the entire world. And just having this DF alone would give you enough power to awaken. I imagine an awakened gura gura could literally destroy the entire world. The only way I could see this awakening is if the fight between luffy and BB took place on the moon, and BB tried to destroy the entire thing (which would actually be pretty badass now that I think about it).
12/22
I don’t think kizaru is awakened either. First of all, this wouldn't make much sense from a powerscaling perspective (stick with me for a minute on this one, I promise I'll jump off of this real quick). At the battle at Punk Hazard during the timeskip, two of the three admirals duked it out to see who would be fleet admiral. This clearly shows that kizaru, the lone man out, isn't on their level. But getting off powerscaling, i think that kizaru's mindset just isn't in the right area. Kizaru honestly seems to be high all the time, and even if he isn't, he seems to be chilled out all the time, not worried too much about anything. If you want to be light then you want to be the fastest thing ever, but kizaru seems to be content at whatever speed. Another admiral that might not be awakened is greenbull. his mindset just isn’t that of someone who would love life and flowers and beauty. In all honesty, Franky would probably awaken this fruit rather quickly as Franky loves nature, being happy that he didn’t run over any flowers at onigashima. Now, this is where I propose a new idea: if you awaken based off your mindset and strength, maybe you stay awakened after your mindset changes. This may be a long shot, but it’s possible that greenbull awakened at a point in his life where he loved nature more. Again, this is more so speculation than anything as we have never seen someone’s mindset change after awakening.
13/22
zoans and their links to death
Now, getting into what I think is required to awaken zoans. Luffy awoke right after he was hit by kaido so hard cp0 pronounced him dead. What if for a zoan to awaken, there are the two requirements are different from other fruits? Having the mindset of whoever wished for the fruit and dying. This is the part I’m most proud of. Let’s get into it!
14/22
We can all agree that oda is a great writer, but we can also all agree on something else: pell should have died. Well, everyone but me. look at how Pell talks about being alabasta's guardian sprit. This already gives him the right mentality needed, as the falcon is an ancient symbol of protection in alabasta. What do I think happened? Easy. He died and came back to life. Now, I looked a list of every devil fruit user that died, and you know what’s interesting? There are only 3 Zoan users were on that list, 2 confirmed dead while the other 1 is just speculation for now. The confirmed ones are Smiley from punk hazard and Orochi, and the unconfirmed one is kaido.
15/22
Smiley is a very straightforward case while Kaido and Orochi aren’t, so let's talk about Smiley first. Smiley is a slime/gas that was fed the Sala-Sala Fruit, Model: Axolotl. Who wants to be an Axolotl? Most likely just someone that likes them a lot. Smiley wasn’t exactly known for having a love of all things small and cute, so it’s obvious that when Smiley died it didn’t fulfill the obligations for awakening, so it just died and the fruit reincarnated. Now, let’s go to orochi. Orochi ate the snake snake fruit: model 8-headed snake. This 8-headed snake is in reference to the Japanese myth Yamata-no-Orochi, in which Susanoo killed the 8-headed beast Orochi. All Orochi did in the story was devour young girls and drink booze. Honestly, that’s all Orochi did when he ruled wano (just substitute eating girls for devouring their livelihood). But at the end of his life, there is only one thing he cared about: killing hiyori. This was more than basic self-defense: it was a full-on obsession, with the ONLY thing he wanted being her to burn to death. When he was killed by Denjiro, he no longer had the mentality needed to awaken. I’ll talk about kaido in a bit, as I lead that into something else.
16/22
Let’s go over the zoans that have awakened. More specifically, HOW they awakened. First of all, they all had the right mentality (see (link) if you haven’t read the first part). But they all most likely died right before awakening. In the cover story “CP9's Independent Report”, Spandam and Spandine plotted the killing of the old CP9 agents. But the next time we saw those CP9 agents, they were CP0 agents and awakened. What if the plan to kill them worked, but in death Lucci and Kaku (and potentially jabra) awakened? Yamato fought kaido all the time, and kaido didn’t have gripes about using a lot of power on yamato. Maybe kaido took it too far one day and killed Yamato, but due to his desire to protect wano, yamato awakened. Next up, Luffy. In his fight against kaido, there came a sudden turning point in kaido’s favor: luffy was killed by kaido due to the interference of CP0. Momo can no longer hear luffy’s voice anymore, and kaido also thought that luffy was dead. Now Kaido had good enough observation haki to see into the future, and basic observation haki can allow you to see the life force of people. For Kaido to agree that Luffy was dead, the life force would have to be gone. At the end of the chapter, it showed that Luffy had awakened his DF, using Gear 5 for the first time and turning into JoyBoy. As I already went over here (link), luffy has always had the right mindset to awaken, that being a lust for absolute freedom. If just power and mindset were required, then luffy would have awoken around the time of WCI or earlier. So what I think happened is that luffy died, awoke due to the mindset factor in death, and then came back to life with the new transformation that is Gear 5.
17/22
Now finally, Kaido time. Kaido is a bit of a mystery, as he hasn’t awakened even though he has been a strong pirate for almost 3/4ths of his life. kaido had the Uo Uo no Mi Moderu "Seiryū". Translated, that's the Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon. Kaido was no doubt strong enough to awaken, but the one key differnce was kaido's mind. The azure dragon is a guardian deity of japan, and kaido literally enslaved almost everyone in wano, which is based off of japan. When we are first introduced to Kaido, he’s shown jumping off of a sky island to try and perish. Obviously, this doesn’t work, as kaido is too powerful to die from fall damage. Now this is a shot in the dark, but what if kaido is trying to awaken when he attempts to off himself. Kaido seems very knowledgeable about devil fruits, so him knowing about the mentality and death factor would make sense. How I can already hear you typing out “haha Jupiter, in your infinite wisdom you somehow forgot that kaido is an AZURE dragon. Surely he wouldn’t have the right mentality”. Of course I remember, and counter with this: Kaido is a big strong dragon that blasts fire, flies, and can just eat people. That sounds a lot like what a normal dragon would do. And normal dragons are all about violence. You know what kaido does? Kill people for fun. I doubt kaido knew what an azure dragon is in comparison to a medieval dragon. Bro probably thought that azure meant “long” or something like that. Basically what I’m trying to say is that kaido may have thought that he had the right mindset (that of a big dragon) even though he didn’t. That’s why he was trying to off himself: he was trying to trigger the death needed for awakening.
18/22
Now as stated above, kaido’s is an azure dragon, which is a guardian deity. What’s funny is that in reference to kaido and momo, I’ve only found two panels where they are called guardian deities. The first one is where Kiku says that Kaido is celebrated as the Guardian Deity of Wano. But we later see that exact same celebration where people wish for Kaido to be gone. This shows that while Kaido is a guardian Deity in name, he isn’t in actions. To contrast this, Momo is called a guardian deity by luffy at egghead. Momo is an actual protector of wano, willing to risk his life fighting yonkos, admirals, and lift onigashima. But as shown in the greenbull fight, Momo just isn’t strong enough yet. Momo’s entire character arc is about becoming strong enough to protect wano, and right now he’s not. He wasn’t able to do much against Greenbull on his own. That’s why I think momo will fall in battle protecting someone/something, awakening in the process. Not powerscaling, but momo has been set up to surpass oden in my opinion (son of oden, wields one of his swords, same body type, set up to be a conqueror (had the willpower to actually fight kaido himself), given the fruit of kaido, etc), so having a fruit more powerful than kaido’s makes sense to me.
19/22
As we all know, Saturn has shown his zoan form recently. With ox horns and a spider lower body, it’s very clear that saturn is based on the Ushi Oni, a yōkai from Japanese folklore. While this form is interesting for a number of reasons, the thing that stood out to me the most was his black clouds surrounding his neck. As I went over earlier, clouds are very clearly a sign of awakening, meaning that saturn has awakened this zoan fruit of his. Something else to note is that since saturn most likely has a mythical zoan as opposed to a normal one, the clouds represent morality rather than what type of zoan the user possesses. White clouds for luffy and yamato who have positive morals, and black for lucci, kaku, and saturn who have more negative morals. Saturn also posesses the right mindset to awaken his ushi oni fruit. The ushi oni is a yokai that preys on humans by staring at them, draining their power until they die. i think is this slow form of killing is what saturn could do before awakening, but now he can make their heads explode instantly.
20/22
Now something I found interesting is saturn’s title of saint. Saints are part of many different religions and cultures, but the most notable one is christianity. While there are multiple different requirements for becoming a saint, such as preforming miracles, only one of these requirements stands out to me…dying. So Saturn is a saint AND an awakened zoan? That heavily supports my theory about awakenings being linked to death. And I already know that some people are typing out bullshit about “oh, saints are good people, so he couldn’t have recieved his title by being a good person”. But hear me out on this: doflamingo’s speech. Doflamingo talked about how justice is determined by the winners. Do you know who won the struggle of the world’s balance? Imu and the gorosei. Which means that in the views of the WG, dying for imu is considered something positive. Now something that some of you may have thought is that the other CDs have the title of saint. But the thing is, the gorosei are said to be on a whole other level as opposed to the CDs. I think that the gorosei’s saint title is a deserved one as by the definition of a saint, whereas the saint “title” for CDs is nothing more than just a little thing to make them happy.

Thanks for reading! I put a lot of time and effort into these, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. shoutouts to @steady prism and @modest skiff for helping me with parts of these (even tho it was months ago lol) my next theory will will come out sometime before one piece ends (I hope

Why do i feel like the Wado Ichimonji is a supreme - grade blade
Think of it... Luffy's fruit was graded from Mythical Zoan to Paramecia by the world government...
And also as Kaido was waiting for JoyBoy, Mihawk was waiting for Ashura?
Also notice, Zoro vs Mihawk in baratie, Zoro was fighting with pure strength and not haki but Mihawk smiled and appreciated Zoro
I mean come on, zoro had a black blade of Ryuma, Enma and Wado Ichimonji were crafted by one person [forgot name] and kitetsu III by Sukiyaki. So Wado Ichimonji also has some secret power like Ashura, etc.
Ok
jesus thats long, but imma read it and see if i like it
why u posting spoilers here?
alright so i just finished reading all of it. im too dumb to point out anything specific or notable about the entire thing, but it was a pretty cool theory. theres a few things i definitely think were stretches on your part but there is definitely some things that add up
So, I'm curious- if the assertion you're making is that a prerequisite for zoan awakening is 'death', do you have any thoughts about how that may or may not resonate thematically? "Death of the self", etc. Made me think about past discourse surrounding luffys personality, the fruit having a will of its own, etc. Not sure what the implications would be but I generally lean more towards characters retaining their own agency if that makes sense? I guess what I'm getting at is you listed a bunch of characters in relation to their devil fruit, how devil fruits are the results of dreaming to be something and how the character reflects that dream. I think this is mostly a "non-technical" type of symbolism/character building, ie it isn't going to be relevant as far as the actual practicalities for the characters using a fruit- more just an additional bit of characterization? I'm not explaining this well but hope that makes sense
@devout lagoon
I'm curious as well why you chose to include all of those character examples to lead into the zoan death thing
In episode 77 when the SH are at Little Garden, sanji and zorro are talking about their hunting competition. The giants then say "hunting competition, why does that sound familiar".
Could it be that the giants know about the god valley incident? And the hunting of slaves?
Remember that God valley is not the only instance of human hunting competitions; it happens every 3 years. They were fighting for 100 years right?
So the reason I added them is because they are the only characters that either have awakened zoans or have died while having a zoan fruit. I made sure to go through the entire story, and they’re the only zoan users that have died. I think that while the mindset of the fruit is needed, so is an actual death. Nothing metaphorical, but the character actually passing on then coming back. I have more to say later, but I just wanted to say this before going to class
Yeah they were fighting for 100 years. I was just thinking they might know (maybe)
Maybe they know. I'm not sure about God valley specifically, but if it happens every 3 years there's a good chance they know due to their long lifespan, even if they are kept secretive by CDs, you would notice a trend
Gotcha, makes sense. Hit me back later about the other stuff
yo, could that be Zoro's father?
well cant paste images but the guy in the left corner during the rocks pirates introduction in the chapter that just came out.
The SBS said he was killed by pirates, doesn't mean he wasn't one 😄
break next week?
nope
official releasedate for chapter 1097 is november 5th
We still don’t know if Saturn is even using a df . That pentagram and black smoke ring implies this is something else entirely
Let's reverse engineering this theories,
we always use logic and facts to give theories. Let's do the opposite, I'll give some of most absurd theories from latest chapter (1096) you have to prove it using facts and logics
- Roger and Roc were Brothers
- Roc is more like luffy than blackbeard
- Kuma and Ivankov were saved by Linlin that's who she got a hold of the dragon fruit
- Kuma, Ivankov and Ginny were sailed to Sorbet Kingdom with whitebeard
- Why morgon didn't mention anything other than garp story
- Roc is way younger than he's fellow crewmates that's why they all don't respect him
The parallel is obvious.
The empress that died was the previous to Boa. Oda said Luffy's mother wouldn't be relevant, and how can she be relevant in the present if she is dead? She would have died of love for Dragon. Luffy represents brazil. "Amazon" (from Amazon Lily) is IN BRAZIL. Also don't forget that the Empresses usually have/had black hair, Luffy has black hair.
Would then be a parallel between Dragon and the unknown Empress, and Luffy and Boa.
We have yet to see rocks . but i believe its because tho Rocks has a masculin name what if rocks is female and not only female they resemble someone we already ove in the story
Holy shit, thats good
Previous to Boa is Shakky
I'm interested in hearing what's the theory you guys believe in the most, no matter how much or little basis it has.
For me it's Banchina (Usopp's mom) being half giant and half dwarf (tontatta), making Usopp 1/4 giant.
i think i know what Rock D Xebecs devil fruit might be,
if you look at the number pun system that oda uses, Goroawase, you can take the japanese way of spelling ,xebec, and make into , Jibekku,
if you take Ji (4) and Ku (9) you get Jiku, which is Space time in japanese,
so rocks being the user of the jiku jiku no mi, space-time space-time fruit, he would be able to use the 4 dimensions of space, but it would be very fitting considering he would be polar opposites of Luffy who is the sun which is warm and brings the dawn, with Rocks being the cold one that brings darkness to the people in the one piece verse
To be fair the most wide spread theories I have read on this forum are the ones of Xebec. It is kinda wild how theories, change of him being a nobody and just being lucky to him being a powerhouse.... or him being super knowledeble about the One Piece, it is wild.
meh i think my little theory is very plausible, considering that space time is often describe it as resembling a sheet of rubber
I do not think that many DF are being that open. The only DF that is able to control like that much of time was the one of Odens wife (I forgot the name) I do not mean that your theory has no value, but Xebec might have been way different, Oda never really bought into the easy solution.
I didn’t believe this prior to this chapter. I’m sold now. This is based off the chapter 1096 and uses moments in there to tie it up
- Garp explicitly states the world government took something that was the “crown jewel of pirate island” very vague.
- when the rocks pirates land we don’t see rocks because he’s already ran ahead of them. He’s clearly desperate to get whatever that crown jewel is
- later in the incident rocks tells roger to get out of his way
- garp and roger team up to defeat rocks
- after the god valley incident roger and crew find shanks in a treasure chest
What’s the answer?
The crown jewel of pirate island is his son. Shanks.
Rocks is the father of shanks, and his mother is an unnamed CD who is Garling Figarlands sister.
The world government likes to cover things up. A CD having a child with a notorious pirate would be a scandal of the highest degree and they’d want that covered up.
Ginny leaks what’s going on to the world and all these pirates are converging for whatever this is. Rocks is there to get his son back.
We know whatever he’s there for, he’s desperate enough to carelessly go ahead of his crew.
We know whatever he’s trying to do that roger stands in his way and has to team with garp to stop him.
During the incident and the fighting, shanks’ mother is killed. Before she is killed she hides her son in one of the empty chests thinking he’d be safe.
Rocks arrives to save his family only to find out they’re likely both dead. Now we have a mega powerful man that just lost everything and is ready to scorch the earth and kill everything in his path on that island.
Roger has morals and believes it’s wrong and obviously garp works for the WG. There’s no reasoning with someone who just lost their family though. They have to stop him together
Rocks is stopped. Afterward Roger is obv still a pirate and decides to loot some treasure. And when he opens that treasure chest he finds the “crown jewel of pirate island” shanks.
The two giants did their own hunting competition 100 years ago on that same island to see who was bettet
I have a theory that Imu = Shiki the golden lion. Not based on a LOT...but the silhouette of Imu looks like shikis head. Shiki used swords, both as weapons but also as legs which the throne room is filled with. Also...the empty throne is adorned with 2 golden lions on the arms. It may be simple...but Oda loves his silhouettes, and golden lions are a pretty darn strong message on the throne.
Theory: buccaneers are said to have the blood of giants, what if they have the blood of joyboy, the ancient giant, and it’s been diluted through the years
Is it possible that Ginny is Bonney? Saturn always mention to Bonney "She's just a kid"
nah first she calls kuma her dad and also, i dont think possible, shes near the age of kuma and lets assume that kuma met vegapunk at a older age (maybe teen/maybe young adult) then even if Vegapunk had some power to age lock her. She would still be older than a child
but the throne has been there since the founding of WG and shiki is not 800 years old
that we know of
so, there is a moment in the manga (And more prominantly shown in the anime) where during the gear 5 transformation, luffy performs a 'solo cloud split'. My personal theory on this is that this wasn't him doing it himself. It was the will of the devil fruit and his own will clashing during the awakening process, causing a confrontation that split that clouds.
however implausible, time travel exists in OP so its possible
and we dont really know what 800 years ago it really looked like
chat i just figured it out but this was kinda just info from along time ago so in first episode luffy arrives in a barrel and says he escaped some giant whirlpool and imu is speculated to have the Umibōzu fruit so is this more confromation or is this the man marked by flames who is only seen near whirlpools
i saw this one and apparently two kids of Mother Carmel in the orphan looks very similar to two holy knights. Mother Carmel sells the kid to marines right?
Too bad cant send a photo here
pandaman kid is even there LOL
Next Chapter: Nika Awakens
Luffy suddenly started spewing out fumes from his mouth and his heart drums became louder and louder.
The Island starts shaking as the giant robot starts dancing to drums.
Saturn gets alerted when he is about to finish his stabber, and throws her away while shouting " Nika" and charges at unconscious Luffy.
The island begins to shake more and more vigorously..
Suddenly a giant emerges and catches Saturn, the whole Island becomes rubbery as the giant luffy dashes to the clouds while holding Saturn in his hand.
the idea of the robot pulling up in all its island sized gargantuan glory and immediately just starting to fortnite dance hard enough to cause an earthquake is hilarious
That is not a normal bot, it is a strongest bot

It's not. There's an unknown empress (the one that died of the love illness) that is between Boa and Shakky.
It goes:
Gloriosa
Shakky
Empress who died
Boa
She negotiates with the CP0 which is even closer to the WG, so could be
mother caramel or crocomom
mother carmel is odd, why her
She was already an old witch when bm was a child. The unknown empress is younger
This is a good theory my only counter point is, that's way too complex for oda? Never seen a complex theory come to fruition
What's related to yokai now
Oh yes the spider bull yokai, if I were to theorize a simple theory on why Blackbeard has multiple fruit is because he had multiple personalities, like alter ego, it's a common thing in anime a personality turning you into a whole another person. Though the problem was he never showed different characters 🤔
Peak theory bro
Maybe I read it wrong but it seemed like Roger was after the jewel of hachinoso as well. I believe there the ones that stop at hachinoso and say rocks already left! But I interpreted this as then going there to take the jewel them self
in one of the panels in chapter 1096 there was a message return."THIS FATEFUL INCIDENT WOULD SOON BE OBSCURED BY THE SHADOWS OF HISTORY" could the word shadows mean blackbeards devil fruit which rocks was after and was one of the fruits in the chest?
Shadow of history could also mean the CD games and or the vanished god valley, not necessarily Yami Yami
Thanks man. I finally had my own one piece theory and it felt solid so decided to post it.
Yessss I get it but oda always been good at hiding something so simple, it's never the most complex answer yet not the straightest answer as well. For instance the extreme theory for G5 is resin theory is just so dumb, the straightest path is monkey king, but oda choose a cartoon power instead, makes sense but no one thinks of the answer
Roger may have been after the jewel himself and not known what it was. We now know that Ginny released the information to the world about treasure on the island. Roger could’ve just thought that rocks was beating him to a treasure. But really rocks is going after HIS treasure. His crown jewel. His family. All the actions and nuances this chapter allude to whatever rocks was after it wasn’t a conventional treasure. If it was, garp probably wouldn’t have warned them. If it was, he’d have probably had a real gameplan with his crew. If it was just a jewel I don’t see any reason Roger and garp have to team up to stop him.
That’s a man scorned who had his world taken.
He abandoned all care for a plan and bounded into action ahead of his crew.
When he found his family “dead” he was ready to stand on business and burn the island to the ground with everyone on it
Hence Roger and garp having to team up to stop him.
It’s entirely possible. Saturn learns of rocks being on the island and has to leave kuma.
I was never a huge fan of rocks being the dad of x,y, or z. After this chapter tho I think it makes the most sense. It answers the questions of god valley and ties it up in a nice bow.
Why were all the pirates there? The treasure Ginny leaked to the world
Why were the marines there? To defend the CD’s
Why was shanks in that treasure chest? He had to be hidden during the war going on
Why did garp and Roger have to stop rocks? Because he believed his family was dead and was ready to murder everyone
Might be a little too late to change this one. We’re already in the midst of it. God valley is happening now.
Just noticed. Theory is further supported by white beard during the chapter. White beard says that rocks
“Rushed ahead”
And
“That moron will lose sight of our main goal”
Linlin completed the CREWS main goal. They wanted a devil fruit. They got a devil fruit,
But that means rocks has his own agenda on the island that has NOTHING to do with devil fruits or leaked treasure by Ginny
Rocks is there for what was stolen from him. His crown jewel. His son.
Do you believe that garland is the one who scars WB
Yes. I think that would line up as to why the holy knights didn’t stop rocks. The holy knights were tied up fighting the rocks crew. Roger and garp had to stop rocks.
I'm not saying it's a actual jewel but I don't think Roger would have gone to hachinoso to steal a child. Just doesn't add up really and I feel like people would have just said his kid or wife not the jewel of hachinoso
And yeah we know rocks has nothing to do with the devil fruits unless the devil fruit is also the jewel of hachinoso unless the jewel is his wife who would have to be garlands relative as well if shanks is his son
Was that in this chapter or a previous one? Sorry wanna make sure I didn’t miss something here.
I guess that thriller bark is actually god valley, it was metioned god valley and thriller bark both are in west blue also it explains so many rox pirates bodies, and it was also mentioned that, thriller bark will be relevant in history
It really actually doesn't. Captain John went off to become a pirate before becoming a zombie. Meaning John didn't die on gods valley
What does kuma mean by the term "hands of liberation"? Does this mean there are more devil fruits connected to Nika or joyboy? If that's the case, does that mean paw paw fruit isn't the actual name of the DF?
I really think it's possible.. especially if lili ends up also having this fruit
Please remind me when Roger and Crew go to hachinoso. Need to wrap my head around that before I reply
so like the most popular theory in the recent chapter is jinny is bonny mother but i dont think so ch 1096 showed a sibling love not a lovers love so Bonnie is a glutton jinie is also a glutton maybe Bonnie is jinnis clone and the reason why Kuma sacrificed himself cause he was offered to have jinie back
If Blackbeard can read poneglyphs what was the need of kidnapping pudding? Cause Blackbeard is a cautious person and unless it's very important he will avoid direct confrontation with BM pirates
It's not explicitly said but we have Garp meentioning Roger than the next panel shows some pirates going to hachinoso and saying they were to late so I guess I'm interpreting that as Roger
Could the Roger pirates just be after the treasure Ginny leaked to the pirate world ?
It's possible but also Roger seems to be after something specific
Could they have been after kaidos fruit specifically?
Why shanks will be names and crown jewel of hachinosu? What was the link between shank and hachinosu?
Otherwise why would he be saying he waited a whole year it has to be something that will let him continue his journey or at least he thinks it will
Ginny leaked that devil fruits were in the chests. Maybe roger thought the hito no mi was in the prizes?
If he thought he needed the hito hito no mi Nika he wouldn't have continued his journey without a fruit
I’m gonna reread. One moment.
Okay so I guess this all doesn’t really poke a hole in my theory but it does leave another question to be answered.
Why would Roger be pulling up to hachinoso?
In the panel where Roger mentions something about a year I wonder if the translation is bad or maybe they’re just talking about fighting. In that panel the Roger pirates are jumping into what appear to be a battle and he’s like “finally! Do you have any idea how I’ve felt this past year” it could’ve been a very boring year with little fighting and he’s hyped to jump into battle. That’s a very luffy type thing to do. And then his crewmate telling him to not call dibs. If it was about treasure, they’d be splitting the treasure. He could be talking about not calling dibs on who he wants to fight? Seems like a very zoro/Sanji thing to say cause they want action for themselves
We know Ginny announced to the world about the azure dragon fruit and how powerful it was. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the main goal of a lot of the pirates there. They specifically wanted the kaido fruit.
I think Roger found out the significance of the jewel of hachinoso and figured out it was necessary for him to continue his journey but that's all I got
Yo what's shanks age now?
Shanks is 39, god valley was 38 years ago
anyone up?
did kuma go to thriller bark to hasten the straw hats departure because imu was the florian triangle monster and was heading towards luffy and thriller bark
the clones we have seen were closer to direct copies but when we see bonnie as a child she looks slightly different than jinnie. But i agree Jinnie or Bonnie being used as blackmail against kuma
is*
I mean, we've only seen him in two instances, and both of them weren't exactly the most convincing that he may be on the "good" side
- he leads the God Knights who are above the Marines in terms of hierarchy
- he's shown to have little to no regard for human life as shown in the current flashback having now killed two ( or even more ) civilians
- he's hell bent on protecting the CDs once Rocks shows up
hmm
One of my theories is that one of the 5 elders fruit is going to be the Tori Tori No mi model Griffin because if we are going off the theory that the elders fruit are going to be myths then it would fit in pretty well.
Assuming nika can stretch things ( quite likely ) and that they will hold that form, what if joyboy STRETCHED long ring long island, hence the name long? long shot ik but it's a cool thought
Thriller Bark is what remains of God Valley. In an SBS Oda said that Thriller Bark used to be an island in the West Blue where God Valley used to be. Moria also has most of the Rocks Pirates corpses
Oda did not just say it in an SBS, it was said by Brook in chapter 443.
Nami:
A floating island? But the Log pose isn’t reacting to it!
Brook answers:
Well, of course not. This island came all the way here from west blue.
But for thriller bark to be god valleys remains, the island would need to be completely terraformed (where did the mountains go?), not unimaginable with all the forces at play, who would do that? And why? Maybe for the resources on that island?
I first had this thought during the end-stages of Wano as we kept getting more tidbits of the Rocks crew history alluded to, but with Oda seemingly having the perfect opportunity to tell us the major backstory of the Rocks pirate but veering away from it this chapter, I'm fully convinced:
To save time in the main story, I think Oda will have the God's Valley incident told via a film that he writes himself and will be fully canon
If it was a item that was the goal of a crew then they all have a common objective. In the interactions between the rocks crew members and even rogers pirates, it seems like the item was something up for grabs that anyone can claim. Remember one of the rogers pirates said no using captain’s privileges, so the item in question must be priceless and can have only one holder. This suggests it’s a special item maybe a small item that can be held in a person’s hand. I’m inclined to think it was a devil fruit a rare one that hold special significance tonpirate island maybe a mythological one. Not the azure dragon, that seems more aligned with Wano. But more geared to the pirate theme.
@loud nimbus My take on what you just said is remember the egg that was on The Oro jackson maybe that was the item in question
An egg? What’s going to hatch a dragon or a bird? Maybe a roc, a giant bird from middle eastern mythology. One Piece has many references to Sinbad. In one of his adventures he and his crew dealt with a roc, though fled from one after killing its baby. But maybe the egg has to do with the key to one piece….bird have inborn compasses that allow them to navigate the world based on magnetic fields. Maybe a roc is needed to get to laugh tale.
wang zhi.... top or bottom?
My first idea has always been the egg but there is just zero evidence so I continue to hypothesis! Lol but I honestly feel like this would be such a perfect time for it to be the Nika but we know there is no way
If Kuma save over five hundred people from god valley, then that’s definitely a foreshadowing of events to come. Maybe the introduction of new characters like in where Fisher Tiger freed the slaves in Mary Geoise. We had the boa sisters, koala, and members of the fishman pirates and that non-canon character Tesoro from one piece gold. Kuma freeing the people in the human hunt mirrors what fisher Tiger did. This may herald the introduction of backstories to characters from the revolutionary army, maybe some of them were former slaves or children of those who escaped god valley.
I think roc is a good guess. Combined with the legends of the phoenix & the phonecians being the sea people he might link it all
Cyrus the king of kings is depicted riding roc. He didn’t conquer by war but was welcomed to many places as a liberator.
Given nika and laugh tale are intertwined it would not be strange for that egg to belong to a mythical creature, a sunbird maybe that hatches at a specific time. This could be why the rogers had it on their ship.
Founder of the Persian empire who directly rivaled Greek who worshiped many gods, perhaps a parallel to joy boy . Also Eden is said to be based on an island near Persia.
I think so and also there’s a lot of Easter references lately. Egg head. Rabbits. Etc. Easter is the celebration of death and resort of Christ. The death rebirth god is a common trope in nearly every ancient culture. Horus for example.
Makes sense god valley the inhabitants were turned into rabbits and participate in a death game. And the kuma being the savior brings them to freedom.
Jesus is the western version of the death and rebirth gods. Kuma with the Bible . The cross crucifixation punishment always popping up. Essentially joy boy is Jesus. His powers come after he has died and resurrected
If this has various Easter references then could this predict that the egghead arc will end in March? Given oda’s penchant for dates and numbers to correlate his work
Also kumachi means a kind of knot, and Kuma TIES everything together. Also Kumamoto is odas hometown and it means literally origin of the bear
Easter lands on march 31st next year. The day before April fools. Joy boy theory intensifies
Though this would indicate more breaks.
Like 14 chapters more if oda takes a break every two weeks
Dying and resurrection gods;
Balder son of Odin
Izanami in Japanese folklore
Queztacotl the feathered serpent god of Aztec
Ishtar, the namesake of easter, dies yearly in the mythology
Osiris /horus
Adonis
Dionysus - the protective god of sailors
Tammuz - a farmer god
Jesus
I think April 1st/easter will line up with the original joyboy flashback .
I have a theory that Xebec was a lunarian and was the reason why they were wiped out. It explains why Kaido sought after King and how whitebeard randomly chooses to talk about that race to marco instead of anything other.
My theories that xebec is in control of blackbeard somehow and will use him to return in the final arc. Blackbeard never sleeps because he is possessed and just a shell for xebec to return and get revenge
The fallen Angel The lightbringer, fallen Star, lucifer is luffy... now look who if not the lichtbringer will bring the New dawn. Who did challenge God and get punishment for it. Who will destroy the World... lucifer/luffy... so it's mighty be that's joy boy did the crime to challenge God and get punishment for it but luffy is the rematch of lucifer vs God...
Ahh and allso... lucifer will finally return so did joy boy...
I also feel this way. Or perhaps he was aged down to a baby and left that way .
The mountains probably get destroyed during the fight. Probably Moira after his defeat from Kaido
Hi everyone, just wanted to throw this theory out there to see what yall think.
Morgans is secretly a 'D' and he will play a pivotal role in the endgame.
Why is he a 'D'?
His personality fits that of a typical 'D' member which are, in my opinion; that they all have absolute resolve of their convictions.
Morgans doesn't abide by the government or criminals. He has his own agenda that no one can influence except for himself. I believe his resolve is to spread news with his own flair and dramatization but while making sure it's always based on truth.
What kind of role would he play at the end?
I think one of big reasons 'Joy Boy' failed to stop the WG is because, just like Luffy, he passively gets people to join his cause rather than acticely trying to gain global influence.
Without global influence Joy Boy's allies didn't stand a chance. They were the minority.
However, in the present day of One Piece. Morgans exists. He will play the role of spreading Luffy's cause and will be the main difference of how Luffy will succeed in his dream.
Whether it happens before the conflict or as part of prologue is debatable.
Let me know what yall think!
Maybe. Because I think oda is planning something big for may so a little 1 month interlude might make sense
pretty interesting, i always assumed that joyboy would have unified the world against what would become the wg as well though
Who’s up
I got the best theory ever you man will be so shocked
So where is queen neferti d Lilly it was confirmed the gorsei and imu said they have no idea what happen to lili or they would of told cobra anyway like he asked as they were gonna kill. Him anyway where did queen lili go and where did she dissapeared so when she she scattered the ponelgphys my theory is she what happend to her after she dissapeared is that she traveled in time spreading the word and the lanuage of the poenglhyps my explaining for this is that she is a butterfly effect in this story and because of her the world goverment will be defeated my theory is that she is toki as we know vivi has blue hair and probalby Lilly did too very small similarity but just hear me out isn’t it a coincidence that she dissapeared she married oden and spread the message of joy boy returning in twenty years two red scabbards and oden n roger
W?
Lol this is not the first time this theory has been made. I believe the missing link is the fact toki has a scar on her leg and if Lili has the same events but I'm pretty sure people have poked some holes in this theory as well
Kuma has been saving all of his pain his whole life to unload on saturn and save the strawhats when he arrives which would be the most fitting punishment for him
Anyone mentioned something like this?
Big ol’ homing bird could be key to getting to raftel, sea currents too much so have to fly? Can’t fit everyone on the bird so have to leave lower members - shanks/buggy etc??
I like this and it makes sense. Roc being a type of bird. Bird wings. Hidden in plain sight classic Oda. WG erased Rocks and Lunarians at the same time.
Lunarians coming from the moon is gotta be obvious at this point
Does anyone else think that joyboy was a Bucaneer?
Not necessarily, perhaps laugh tale is similar to a sky island. Maybe there’s a knock up stream or it can carry them up
Plus buggy was sick and crocus didn’t want him to go. Maybe that indicates that journey would be too much or perilous for the apprentice in his condition. Adjusting to change in altitude could be just that
I feel the girl who called rocks and Roger to god valley is luffys mum and she probably met dragon and that’s how revolutionary army was formed cos she’s with Kuma and Ivankov
Does anyone else think that joyboy was a Bucaneer?
Its likely at this point. Joyboys hat was enourmous, so he probably wasn´t the size of a regular human.
but toki is from the amatsuki family which is a family from wano and lili is from arabasta so they cant be the same person
Most absurd theory I ever heard :- Roger, Rocks and garp were in the same pirate ship when they were young like shanks and buggy lol
I have a theory of where which blue sea rocks d xebec may have originated. I think it’s the west blue. Reason is that so far many of the d clan have been found throughout the blue seas. Law’s branch of the d family was situated in the north blue, ace, rouge and Saul came from the south blue. Teach, the Nefertari family from the grand line and the monkey family and Roger originating from east blue. West blue is the only sea that has no d holder. So I believe oda will mark it as xebec d rocks origin.
Each sea has at least four or three members so we may see more d clan from west blue it oda keeps it consistent
Why I say four members for each, I also counted laws decease mother, father and sister
Or Imu is smaller than average human and combination of how buccaneers are bigger than average
Well Imu doesnt seem to be large, but we have some kind of reference point with the throne and the swords there. Its not perfect, but he/she seems to be of "normal" human size, although one piece takes that aspect not very seriously. And the Hat was pretty big in comparison, but not really enourmous like a giant would wear. And with the introduction of buccaneers as a race with measurements somewhere inbetween, i think its the most likely case that joyboy was on of them
I think even bigger evidence is th words of Saturn that Kuma only has two choices because of him being a buccaneer, death or slavery
It could also be possible that Joyboy or the original owner of the gate was bucaneer whose size was an outlier, being close to a giant. We’ve seen examples of humans being close in dimensions to giants like whitebeard, lilin and kaido. Even fishmen have a few who stand as equals to giants. So why not buccaneers?
That would be a good parallel back to Sabaody
Theyre not gonna have another training arc bro💀
This is a good theory but you're forgetting buggy. His Origins are unknown. Isn't it always weird how Buggy is just rising to fame out of nowhere? I feel like Oda has a big game plan setting Buggy up for something huge and it might also be related to Rocks and Buggy. I do like your theory tho! But Buggy being an emperor now doesn't just seem like it was done so for comedic relief. I feel like there's some sort of hidden reason why he suddenly rose to becaming an emperor.
@warm yew please use #memes for random memes, not here
!theories As a general reminder guys, please take questions/observations to #manga-serious . If you have a theory, then please state the premise and some in-story evidence/reasoning to support it
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. @distant slate please use #manga-serious for observations like that
Theory: Kuma transported his consciousness into the robot after reaching Marijois. We have already seen him transport concepts such as pain and it would serve as a new vessel to what remains of his consciousness.
There seems to be a big emphasis on the soul this arc. Even rocks flag seems to have something to do with the soul. It looks like brook out of body and we know vegapunk said the soul had weight
@sly stream actually please disregard what I said, sorry for deleting your msg
Well we can discount brook’s devil fruit being involved with rocks or pirate island. The frui that Brook ate was from over 50 years ago so I can’t relate to the story
what part is the void century robot going to play in egghead? I wonder if he’s going to be the one holding Saturn until Luffy & crew can escape
Possibly but it shows that they know what a soul looks like that is what I'm getting at that rocks is aware of souls and how they look. Like brooks soul form is what Every ones soul looks like it's just his he is able to control. Brooks fruit or him don't need to be involved at all for this
Remember when g5 Luffy went inside kaido and turned him into a balloon, I think g5 can inhabit things so that giant robot might be able to be controlled by Luffy
I can’t upload but it’s in the rocks spread you can see a four arm clan member by kaidos leg in the bottom left
That’s not how that worked at all he just turned Kaido into rubber he didn’t inhabit him.
@royal spruce you can ask in #manga-serious and prolly get a faster answer there
And the robot is too full of stuff for Luffy to do that unless it’s literally just armor at that point
Not sure if anyone has said this yet but I think what was "stolen" by the celestial dragons was a woman... maybe rocks love interest or something... iv seen that term "jewel of (insert place)" has been used for women...this woman will turn out to he shanks mother... and maybe the reason why garp and Rodger fought rocks was to stop rocks from killing shanks
It was mentioned in an sbs that shaky was somehow related to Rocks…..yet for some reason elder nyon appeared. Could this be where shaky and ray met? Maybe she is the woman or jewel as it were
Do you think original joyboy was like original joyboy all the time and when he died his persona became a devil fruit
I think the reason why zoans have wills is because theyw were originally alive 🤐 and turned into a fruit
ehh idk. I have a feeling since the obvious prizes on GV are devil fruits, the prize Rocks was after was something different. And since he lost at GV, i think roger got that prize. I think the prize jewel of pirate island is the egg on Rogers Ship. Not sure what it could be, but it has to have some significance as it is almost always depicted on the ship.
how come good theories aren't being pinned anymore
i think that the all black ship is definitely someone from rocks pirates
did anyone theorize that blackbeard last name could be from his mother.
Hey everyone, what do you think that will be Black Beard's third devil fruit?
probably better suited for #manga-serious but sengoku's
Okay
I think that the third devil fruit of Teach will be the Baixe zoan or the hito hito model earth god
maybe she became the empress at the time at a pretty young age, while gloriosa was part of rocks pirate. I wonder if the person gloriosa fell in love with and left amazon lily for rocks himself.
Good theory
there literally needs to be a specific jail cell just for that guy
I know
he's by far the worst theorycrafter ever. if u can even call it that
This is like the theory that says that Kuina is every fucking character with black hair
Just like me🗿
kits rocks himself
Theory:Joyboys first crew.
The Gorosei and Imu all served under Joyboys crew along with the ancient weapons. The main evidence to this is obviously the naming of them and its relation to the Nike fruit. For whatever reason they and Imu rebelled and betrayed the crew which also may be why he is so interested in Blackbeard because their motives for betraying could be similar.
Imu betrayed joyboy for the sun god fruit because they think they are Joyboy yet the fruit continues to evade them. When their true in deity is revealed they will have a strawhat and eve n Imus throne has the same color way as the strawhat
theres also a theory that garp used to be a pirate but the turned to marine and its a pretty good theory
The Nike fruit, sheesh (nice theory btw)
Yeah, because when oda drawn Garp as a kid he was mounting a Tiger and had a treasute chest
Picture this: The One Piece isn't a traditional treasure but a gateway to an ancient dimension that holds the lost technologies of the Void Century. It's a realm where the true history is preserved, and whoever finds it gains the knowledge to reshape the world. The World Government hid this truth to maintain control, and Luffy's journey is destined to unravel these secrets, sparking a revolution against the hidden puppeteers.
Wut tha heeeeeeeeeell
And why should you do nothing but laugh when you see it?
This why I think it's a piece of music. The song of liberation possibly with a depiction of the party that it creates
I think one piece is a big mirror that reflects that the pirate crew has reached the last island in one piece (without getting hurt or dead)
P.s don't hate i just thought of it not serious 🙃
Why did roger laugh then
I already had known this about Cavendish-
https://twitter.com/bait_works/status/1407675238440214529?t=mPyEFY0k72XQc5lhWoAYdQ&s=19
But the information below is new to me-
https://twitter.com/OP_FodZy/status/1658123669195968513?t=mPyEFY0k72XQc5lhWoAYdQ&s=19
More evidence for a Cabbage connection to Mary Geoise/Imu and the Holy Knights?
Cavendish is known as the White Knight/Horse.
The place he's the prince of the "Bourgeois Kingdom" has the same etymology as Mary Geoise in Bourgeoise.
Cavendish in half and half and Imu also have a similar speech pattern.
Also:
"Cavendish’s violent alter ego Hakuba is referred to as a カマイタチ/kamaitachi by Bastille. A kamaitachi is a Japanese yokai that rides on or takes the form of a whirlwind or razor wind and slices up people as it passes, which matches exactly with Hakuba’s speed and style of combat."
白馬/hakuba also means ‘white horse,’ which is Cavendish’s epithet, which makes it a pretty dead-on name for his split personality-"
Which is probably the most consequential and one of the more/most explicit Yokai reference pre-Gorosei/Imu.
And Cavendish parallels Doflamingo as a blonde cast from royalty/privilege, with a dark side in Hakuba.
The "Heavenly Demon-" and "Hakuba" which translates to "White Horse" as stated above.
Which is emphasized with their similar cynical outlook on humanity- Cavendish's quote in the first image being from chapter 704 (his first appearance) and Doflamingo's from chapter 725 in Momo's flashback to Mingo brutalizing a gladiator.
Cavendish's moment in the Colloseum was a direct rebuke of what Doflamingo foisted on Rebecca/the culture he constructed- and showed their difference despite the mirror dialogue/shared cynicism.
Cabbage was also the only gladiator to make it to the top of the castle/to Doflamingo and actually lock eyes with him.
@left phoenix you here?
Hmm?
Didn't you send me a video on some youtubers theory? do you remeber who it was?
He spoke about the 30 strawhat crew? If it wasn't you it's all good
Nope
Did Garp ever mention Dragon as his son ?
yeah in the aokiji flashback
so the reason the buccaneer race needed to be either enslaved or wiped out is because their belief in Nika lead to repeated rebellions. and since Nika represents liberation and freedom, belief in him is antithetical to the forceful structure of the WG with a singular immortal ruler, essentially an perpetual monarchy. The goal of the WG is to squash the sheer idea of liberation and anarchy from existence
I have a group dm chat where Gecko after his humiliating defeat did extensive research on Kaido's past and went to what's left of God Valley. Turned it into a ship, and gathered all of the deceased Rocks crew's corpses. Putting shadows into their bodies, and made them Zombie Generals. In hoping to use them to fight Kaido in the future. Until the Straw Hats came in and disrupted his plan.
Yeah that's the idea
I didn't say that Wang Zhi was dead. So far, we don't know who's dead really. Captain John is one of them for sure. Plus judging by the current chapter's panel and comparing it to the General Zombies. There are some of Rocks crew that looks very familiar to the General Zombies themselves.
I personally believe that Wang Zhi is alive and deep within the prison cells on Hachinosu. Probably across from Gecko who is also likely alive and behind bars as well.
Probably one of those foreshadowing that we wouldn't expect to see or remember, until we see the Rocks pirates roster. Then we start realizing oh shit.. Oda has been hinting something for a looong time.
There is absolutely no way everything is planned out that far ahead of time for any story this big
That is a possibility too. But we won't know, until we see what Oda has presented us. There is another theory.. that either Wang Zhi or Garp will be interrogated by BB. Who will be forcing Pudding to "Draw" out their memories and maybe from that perspective we will see the God Valley incident from their perspectives.
Its more impressive how he weaves everything together on the fly in unpredictable ways still
I love Rocks crew looks.. and I won't lie. Big Mom in her younger days. Hot damn.
She became Baba Yaga. The witch that cooks children in ovens and eats them kind of Big Mom. Terrifying. But still, I cannot wait to see the GV flashback.
Yeah she’s pretty bad
The one piece is reaaal
hello guys in latest episode of one piece dragon new nickname revealed which is not in the manga as i remember "The Insurgent Serpent"Dragon
It is innit
thiller bark is a ship?
so how could be a ship be a god valley or did i miss something
It's originally an island
is it even possible to turn an island into a ship
I mean Moria did it
Like i'm not saying it's theorically originally an island, we already know it's originally an island
does the ship even sail or move?
Yes lol
we didn't see it move tho
What are you talking about
im talking about moriah's ship.. it's still an island, it's just disguising as a ship
I'm lost for words
????????? We already know it was moving, did you skip the Thriller Bark arc or what
do you remember every single thing that has happened in one piece?
I already answered you though
but i needed a source lol
now where's the source where it said it was originally an island
Omg
Then stop asking for a source when you could just assume that you have no memory of the arc and can do the research yourself
i just did lmao
Yeah finally
it's possible for sure
this happened in wano arc btw and not thriller bark arc
Yeah right
we didn't see it move tho.. we only found out that it was a ship the whole time by the end of the arc
the only confirmation that it could move was when we saw it disembarking on pirate island in chapter 925
Yeah of course, totally
okay you got me 😂
It's not funny, you're wasting my time, please stop
this server is for op discussions, if you don't wanna waste your time, go out and touch grass
i appreciate for pointing out things i forgot but I didn't mean to waste your time, this server is for discussions like these after all
Thank you for apologizing, the problem isn't that we're discussing the problem is that you're telling me what we have learned and what we haven't when you already told me you forgot pretty much everything about Thriller Bark, but again I accept and appreciate your apology

okay but it was your choice to waste your time, that isn't my fault

I do not remember where I got the idea from, I think it was on YouTube but I do not know who exactly it was
So I will adapt it here with my touches
Scars theory - it indicates that a major scar or wound would indicate the two people, the one who hurt the other, are fated to fight
These two images really showcase the future matchups - Shanks vs Blackbeard and Luffy vs Akainu. A possible addition would be Zoro vs Mihawk but we already know that.
Shanks specifically reacts to the injury caused on him by blackbeard to highlight who he believes is the most dangerous
And Luffy was not just physically but mentally scarred by Akainu. We can see Luffy's reaction as the scar throbs but he pays zero attention to Blackbeard
This also disapproves "Blackbeard is top 1 eos" he is either powerful enough to defeat shanks or not
It also solidifies Akainu's position as Luffy's future opponent. Might not be Luffy's last but they will definitely fight
Not sabo, Luffy
Ik this might be considered powerscaling and therefore not allowed but as a battle shonen such discussions are still a crucial part of One piece.
Discussing things isn't a waste of time as this is the purpose of this server. If you don't want to waste your time. Stop engaging or go out there somewhere. It is yoir choice. Not mine
Okay stop pinging me then
And you just pinged me too. The irony
I think that's plausible, Shanks vs BB rematch would be a good way to show BB's secret ability which allowed him to create that scar in the first place
I think that Sans will die in that Battle, but probably he could kill one of the Titanic captains (to match the strawhats that are basically complete) and Teach losing and eye and achieving a Coll eye patch
hey, is it possible to Kuma reach egghead and die seeing luffy as nika?
Would be a big closure to his character
I think this is what's being set up. He might show up and help Luffy for a second before sending every one on egghead to....idk elbaf maybe??? And staying behind to be killed by Saturn 🫤
when imu tells gorosei to get the mother flame, they do it. when sabo and dragon discuss the possible scenarios, they think that vegapunk wouldnt make a machine like that. I think mother flame is an ALTERNATIVE energy source like how nuclear fusion can be seen as alternative. I'm thinking that god valley was erased by uranus by using a different energy source and this is the first time they try the very mother flame that was actually used by ancient kingdom
Very possible. When Imu used Mother flame/Uranus on Lulusia, Imu wanted to use an island within close proximity of Mariejois to test it. Perhaps the mother flame fuel is very expensive or consumes alot to where it can only be used in a limited capacity than when it did during Void Century. Vegapunk created something similar, but it's not the 'true fuel'. The ancient robot seems to be powered by the drums of liberation, so maybe there was the true fuel similar, whether it be drums of liberation or the eternal flame they couldn't replicate Lilith mentioned
i think the ancient robot is not fuelled by the drums of liberation because when g5 was first activated against rob lucci it didnt do anything. i think the ancient robot reacts to the demonic df of gorosei as gorosei was present when it got activated as opposed to not when the lucci duel was taking place if i remember correctly
Didn't the ancient robot activate before Saturn made his move?
yes, but saturn was in close proximity
OR the drums of liberation and gorosei need to be both present for it to work, but this is way less likely in my opinion
Perhaps the drums of liberation only activated it within a certain proximity. It didn't activate when Lucci and Luffy were fighting inside building, but didn't it start activating when fighting outside? I have to reread those scenes
Yeah I looked at the panels again. It's way more likely the ancient robot only activated because Luffy turned into G5 vs Kizaru outside near where the ancient robot was, whereas Lucci vs Luffy was inside and the sound of drums couldn't reach.
how can sound of drums not reach it when zunesha was able to hear it. I need to re-read if it is a special case of voice of all things for zunesha or not
proximity sounds possible but im very skeptical
Zunesha is alive, so he might have haki, as Rayleigh stated all living beings have haki. Plus Luffy was outside in Onigashima, while not outside during Lucci vs Luffy. Seemed like only Zunesha could hear it
no, i was referring to whether momonosuke was able to hear as well, he did, right? BUT even he has voice of all things so we dont know. also even if they heard it, they dont know what it is so they would be confused at best
on the first 4 panels, while not conclusive, it seems the drum beat is heard outside of wano from the sound effect writing, id presume proximity doesnt mean shit then even if it isnt conclusive at this stage. thank you for searching it
Nobody comments on the drum beats besides Zunesha, so hard to say atm. I'm just saying it's possible.
okay I got you this time, if only the special, or those sensitive to the drum beat can hear it, id presume the robot is the same?
see if kuma climbing red line coincides with activation of g5.
we know from zunesha now the ones sensitive to the drum beat can hear it from great distances, how great we currently dont know
Zunesha was JoyBoy's companion, and can only be heard by people with voice of all things. However, only Momo (or maybe a Kozuki) was able to command him. The iron giant was also somehow activated 200 years during the same time as the fishman rights movement and Ryugu kingdom attended first reverie. But they stopped going to reverie after that until current story reverie. So something bad must of happened.
see that if that movement coincides with poseidon'S birth
Well it was stated that Poseiden was born every few centuries, so 200 years could have been when there was a previous Poseiden
i still think even if the robot isnt sensitive like zunesha so it isnt just the drum beat but saturn's demonic fruit that is the source of activation
Fair enough I suppose
see, when the robot gets activated it rushes RED LINE, where gorosei and imu reside
I have a theory for dragon, this is a theory about his fruit and easily could’ve been thought of already I believe that dragon has the serpent god fruit or the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl. He’s depicted as a serpent with feathers and a beak. Why a serpent? The government refers to dragon as “The insurgent Serpent” more things to back this up is Quetzalcoatl was able to control the wind and rain. Also some of the Aztec artifacts of Quetzalcoatl resemble more of a dragon to me than a serpent. Also Quetzalcoatl being an Aztec god kind of falls in with luffys and I’d assume dragons demographic being South American
Hi everyone. After reading the latest chapters i have a couple small theories.
theory.Saint Figarland has bring his family over to the island to watch him participating in the tournament. I believe there is a castle or something that all paritcipants family and nobles stay there until the tournament its over. also there is where they keep the chest prizes and and all theyre treasures. When the battle mayhem starts Kuma jinney and ivankov sneak in. There they find young baby shanks and under some conflict circumstances they take him and continue searching for the chests.(maybe we see the 3 of them running atound with a young baby shanks). When they find the chests i believe that they switch one of the fruits with shanks. Later Gol.D Roger was given that chest as a reward without knowing that shanks is inside.
Also i believe in that castle the one that will chase them wwould be Dragon that will be there to protect the family. That is where ivankov first meet Dragon but not forming an alliance or the Revolutionary. The God valley would be the incident that would change Dragon opinion over World Goverment.
Later ivankov after sailing of Sorbet kingdom as we see will come across again over Dragon(now despatched from the MArines) and will form the revolutionaries.
Sorry for but english
i think dragon is completely unrelated to god valley
why do you think so
popular opinion weighs in too much, if dragon is as smart as we think he is, it is way more likely that he was a bookworm like nico robin and formed his core ideals very early
and started gathering power and allies instead of joining marines or going into random conflicts, dragon wouldnt be strong enough to stand much change on god valley beyond escaping
you could be right or wrong, we will have to wait until Ch 1100 that is surely when Dragon will appear
we see that he has been trying to recruit vegapunk and he was poor. yeah but what matters is what you think and why, this isnt a betting station only 👀
but Dragon being unrelated to God valley Cannot be completely ruled out looking at recent events anything can happen now
related* i think he knew but wasnt there, we see kuma and others leave to safety and then part ways
is there a widely accepted theory as to why Dragon is going to appear in chapter 1100 ?
Where did he came in? The son of navy admiral casually join in on a dangerous mission?
what you talking about
How are dragon related to the god valley incident
He is hinted to be a marine when he was younger. Him being at GV could've been the catalyst for him to defect from the Marines
guys if luffy used 2 bajrang guns at the same time, would it be called bajrang bazooka
Wait really ?!
Kidd is dead and is fruit is on Elbaf, where Franky is gonna eat it to become the ultimate cyborg god, theory over
Here’s my kuma theory -
Kuma has been taking heavy damage, even from akainu himself in recent chapters that we’ve seen him and we know he’s running toward someone, or trying to get somewhere specific. I think hes running to Bonney and he’s going to expel all of his pain and use it against Saturn, we just saw the moment where they say kumas hands are made for liberation, and that he wants to save as many people as he can. Saturn was present in the events of kuma becoming a slave, I feel like this will close the Bonney and kuma story up well. 🫡
Hinted where? Can you provide any evidence?
The story that the OG 3 admirals were based on features a dragon iirc and 4 admirals would mean 1 for each sea.
KUMA IS ON HIS WAY TO EGGHEAD. THERE, HE WILL EXTRACT ALL THE PAIN HE ENDURED THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE, AND WITH THIS GIANT PAIN BUBBLE HE WILL HELP LUFFY DEFEAT SATURN
Could the previous user of the ope ope have been a Nerona Doctor
Captain John treasure is the Bara Bara no mi.. thats the troll... that buggy the whole time is after a treasure that he already has.. aka his fruit. Thematically and troll fits perfect clownery L
I got a theory that the Gorosei are the patients of the Ope Ope no Mi’s Perrenial Youth Operation from 800 years ago. At least 5-6 different users are forcefed the Ope Ope no Mi and then performed the operation to the Gorosei + Imu to make them unaging for centuries.
That may explain why Saturn has no changes nor signs of aging from God Valley incident to Ohara incident to Egghead
I think the treasure of Hachinoso can be related to captain John's treasure. Buggy went to a skull island, similar to hachinoso. He probably didn't know what skull island, but a skull island was where it was rumored. But it would be funny if it was right under his nose lol
the treasure at Hachi = John treasure its the same... but i think the treasure is buggy DF. The actual chest has been buried for years but no treasure was actually there
Holy fuckknuckles that’s a great theory. BRO X MARKS THE SPOT. The x on buggy’s head lollll
The answers to his deepest questions are written on his forehead
Or—- what if captain John is his dad and he is the treasure that his dad left behind 😩😩😩
Thats interesting because Buggy found his fruit on an enemy ship which had both the fruit and a treasure map, he conceiled the treasure map and then conceiled that he'd actually eat the devil fruit instead of selling it, but did ate it by accident. And then once he ate the devil fruit he lost the map forever
And John got killed by his own people for concealing the existence of his treasure, for which he got stabbed. But the fruit itself protects you from stabs.
Which means if this is all true, Buggy did what John needed to do in order to not get backstabbed
The said treasure seems to be situated in the middle of the ocean, I wonder if someone could analyze the map and explain where in the One Piece world that would approximately be
What's furthermore interesting, itd mean that Shanks would be the reason why Buggy lost John's treasure map
Shanks was found in God Valley and John wants to claim a treasure on God Valley, which he later on gets mutined for
Interesting.
Maybe his crew after the events knew that this treasure was a very important thing that he found on God Valley
Treasure on ocean floor = the former location of god valley?
This to me all ties into the theory that this DF is in reality a Mythical Zoan, which makes sense to me because it seems like such an odd ability. It allows him to fly and to be completely imune to slashes
OMG LOOK AT THE MAPS
@rapid carbon
There is differences but it looks like a different angle
Yeah, there's some similarities
Insane , that’d be hilarious if his is a god fruit too and the first arc fight was two gods unaware of their real destiny lolllll
Yes you're right!!! The first map has an arrow pointing north, if I approximately align them that's what it looks like
It's far from perfect but it's at least a small lead ig lol
Do we know on what sea were the Roger pirates at this point? Because we know that God Valley was on West Blue
Edit on the map.... bro 😭
For reference
Shanks stole Nika fruit from an enemy ship
Buggy (on Roger's crew) stole his fruit from an enemy ship
Technically they never explicitly stated that the gomu gomu no Mi is the only one with a fake name.
It would go totally against the idea of buggys character if he was suddenly important or worth taking seriously
Buggy is Buggy
show me please XD For some reason my service is acting up and itll take forever for me to load it up
No it wouldn’t
It's the whole joke
you fail to realize in-verse the whole world aside from those who actually know him take him serious. As you’ve stated “it’s the whole joke”. We know the truth. He’s an important figure already
He's important in the world but he's not actually important to the story. His importance is a running joke
The story isn't over yet 🙂
hes extremely important to the story lol
that's true, he actually has the one piece shoved up his ass
?
name 1 important thing he did
He instituted the Marine bounty system. This had massive implications for the power balance and public perception of the Marines. One even got murdered by a commoner.
you are giving him credit for mihawk and crocodiles work
lets keep #manga-theories for theories
Bro is important just for being on Rogers ship and knowing every legend form the past generation
he got sick and didn't see laugh tale. you are just saying that he is old and knew people more important to the story than him
I'ma Take This to serious
Okay
true but it doesnt mean it doesnt have hidden power
buggy actually beats shanks (dont fact check me i just wanna start argument)\
It can definitely be argued that Kuma has no idea what’s going on at Egghead, but what if he went to Mary Geoise to take a bunch of pain from strong af people, and now he’s flying to Egghead to give all of that pain to Saturn
Well given what we saw of kuma’s horrific life story. I’m impressed that he managed to hold it all in. So far kuma has only pushed emotions and objects apart from him . However what about himself? Can you imagine all that bottled trauma held in kuma and it’s manifested as a powerful ursus shock? False god with a demonic mythical Zoan or not, saturn can’t begin to comprehend or even resist such a power
wow i cooked with this
I guess after 1096 we saw ,i can see this could happend while Rocks and Roger meet they got little fight .We know Rocks seek for treasure cds stole from Hachinosu probably that egg on Roger Ship ,so after fight with Roger ,Rocks manage to win that duel and continue to seek for his lost treasure while Garp and marine company prob was occupy with rest of Rocks crew bcs i am 100 % sure that God Valley was several days long. After that Garp probably manage to defeat some Rocks members and finally meet Roger ,then probably they figure out they need to team up to defeat Rocks while they team up i have feeling that Rocks on his way to find treasure he meet Holly knights and thats where real battle start as they were more in numbers Rocks fighted them but in some point of battle WB jump to battle to hold Garling while Rocks continue to advance ,WB and Garling clash so WB gets his scar from that fight ,while Rocks in his way clash with Saturn who i am sure was not only Gorosei there ,while he manage to defeat Saturn Imu showed up as Rocks saw terrifying power of Imu he gave sign to WB to escape te Island in that moment Roger come so i think Rocks said to Roger to try to take his lost treasure while he fight Imu .Ofc imu defeat Rocks after rest of ppl escape island ,Imu destroyed island like Lelusia without a trace. This is my theory how God Valley fight happend sry for my bad english
Who gives a shit about your theory, you are predicting when there is no use and need of it
No need to be soo harsh for no reason. This channel is meant for people to share theories. If u don't like it, don't read it and especially not be a d for no reason.

You know what room you’re in ?
I think he doesnt know

Wisebeard third fruit
Oh god. It’s spreading
wwwwwww
e
@upper ibex when people post theories in the theory channel: 🤯
By the end of egghead island I predicted that every straw that will have awakened devil fruit(copper medical knowledge with a rumble ball)+ Franky will be able to affect logia or devil fruit with science and maybe Usopp too(vegapunk help) and nami will finally use her magic wand
So like, if Kaido and Big Mom hypothetically died on Onigashima, doesn't that mean there is a chance that the dragon and soul fruits are unkowingly in the palms of the straw hats right now, since Nami has her tangerine tree? What if the fruits got swapped with their devil fruits? Once again, this is only if they died, but...
I fr think aokiji's is a spy since Blackbeard's crew are the 10 titanic captains and the cause of titanic's crash was an iceburg 🫤
That's dope
maybe it is the character iceberg himself who does it
for real he gets everybody in water seven and attcks
are we sure that people die when eating 2 df fruits? as we know people in wano ate more than one smile and survived
@distant slate isnt that crazy
I'm glad we have an explanation for Kuma's "Target" clothing pattern now.
no thats the cross from the bible he always holds
Oh really?
So it's like this? I hadn't realized the cross had this circle design
Oh so I now see it's a celtic cross.. interesting
Oh wow, I can't believe I missed that honestly. Wow the slow mode in this channel is absurd..
yeah crosses in One Piece have a circle at the top, we see some in the cimetary of Thriller Bark
They don't always, and I think it's just a variation in the same way that it is in real life
I mean it's fair, its just so that we actually post lenghty and researched theories instead of spam with random/troll theories
Oh, I apologize. I meant to post in #manga-serious. This was never intended for this channel. I'll be leaving now.
yeah true not always, the circle probably represents the Sun for Nika
What do you guys think about the theory that thriller bark is a piece of god valley?
plausible
captain johns treasure is on thriller bark i think
tb looks like half of god valley
Could it be possible that joyboy is luffy, traveling in the past?
In my pov, I think it would be possible. Maybe Luffy is the ancestor of Joyboy, back from the past to the future generations.
maybe the whole monkey family is descended from him
Maybe. Anything's possible 👀
We know, Oda is always cooking for our theories.
Well toki had a devil fruit that made time leaping possible and she’s dead now so maybe someone else has the fruit, and she did bring momo 20 years into the future so I wouldn’t say it’s an abstract theory 🤔
toki also told oden that she came from 800 years in the past which I saw in the anime oden flashback after oden met her and whitebeard accepted both of them on his ship, or it might have been on roger’s ship, dont remember
So I have been just stewing on the big details for a while and how to bake some nonsense on what started everything of the void century and came to two conclusions, 1. The 20 Kingdoms had to be in contact with the ancient kingdom with having both good and than bad ties 2. Joyboy had to be a normal person who was a slave in order to 3. Make the sun god fruit, due to the vegapunk conclusion of how devil fruits are here in the one piece world.
So I was thinking the events of it all that the ancient kingdom reached a technological advancement where they started to help build other kingdoms and being in contact with other kingdoms to help their people, but trying to do the best in helping everyone. With how the outside world was still behind in thought, they used some for there own selfish reasons. They've always had slaves but new ones witgr blood of giants withiut being so big, some would say clones were helpful even if they had personalities to them, etc etc. Having joyboy being a slave and wish freedom but having the same personality as Luffy, and one days eats the devil that is the rubber/Nika fruit. Soon causin a ruckus that allowed him to escape and find the ancient kingdom. With their advanced technology, they would surely be able to help him advance his devil fruit power or something to make him more free on how to use his fruit. That's really all so far.. ye
How do you guys always type such big sentneces and all spelling are good plus this kinda looks like a scriptedd sever
Nahh. I guess, were just good at constructing it
I have a question
U know....I don't think dragon is garp's son. What is garp adopted luffy? There was no content where garp is admitting dragon is his son
I just think there is a strange relationship between garp and dragon..
Idk man
Dragon calls Luffy as "Child of my child" while they were escaping from him in post Enies Lobby
ch 439 p 8
The second point of yours is wrong. Vegapunk theorized that fruits eventually came into existence by people's dreams. Nika is an ancient concept among old slaves we don't know when the DF came to exist. People dreamt of that fruit and the previous Joy Boy ate it.
It may also be that the previous Joy Boy is Nika himself but this a bit unlikely for me cause 800 years is not that antic.
Nope in a flashback he even says to Kuzan like, "damn, my son became a revolutionary!"
Am I the only one who thinks that the gorosei also had immortality operation
This implies Gorosei was able to force five different Ope fruit user with adequate skills (i don’t think the operation can be done by someone who just ate the fruit) to do the operation to them.
While its technically possible, I find it hard to believe that out of the five previous user, none tries to do some funny things to the Gorosei when being asked to do the immortality operation.
Although it would’ve been easier had they got a mind controlling fruit lol
Given the celestial dragons predilection for torture and sadism, and for what we can assume doing it for 800 years, you’d be surprised of what they can make people do. We seen examples of the most harden pirates broken down by them into bawling children. In sabody and also with the string fishmen
Possibly the previous users did not know about the ultimate techniques price and went along with promises of freedom
Here's a thing that doesn't add up does the immortality operation makes you young or just gives you eternal life
eternal life
It's possible. Maybe Kuma teleported the island with his fruit while saving the 500 slaves
Would that be around a awaken level? Similar to how doflamingo used his strings to cover an entire island and entrap it’s citizens?
That’s not how Kumas fruit works he can’t repel an island because it’s beneath him and he repels things away from his hands so repelling it would just send it down.
He just manually launched 500 people with his hands.
Im sure you don't know how his fruit "awakened" would work either. Kuma just ran around teleporting 500 people, individually, lol.
I don't see why it couldn't work simular to that at all. It's also in what Kuma was saying at that moment and how it connects to the desires and the Will of peoples wish and dreams. That's why I thought it may have been possible.
Yeah but still an island is pretty big. I mean amount of power it would take, only I can imagine someone with an awaken ability can manage a feat line that. And even if he did, wouldn’t a flying island make an impact somewhere in the world and be noticed, seismic waves?
Yeah i mean who knows, its probably wrong. Not at the same level but the cage that do flamingo created covered the whole island. I don't remember if this was an awakened ability but I'm not sure. it's jsut a example of a island level attack.
the person asked if thriller bark was a piece of god valley and maybe a piece transferred over in that area or maybe thriller bark has no relations to god valley
If thriller bark is indeed a piece of god valley, that begs the question on what exactly happened on god valley. Sounds like an enormous amount of advanced conqueror’s Haki devastated the island into pieces. Not sure if either garp, rogers or xebec were solely responsible. But maybe it was all of the above and then some given other powerful figures were present like the future yonkou, God’s knights and even Saturn.
While Xebec, Garp and Rogers are all fighting, I hope they took notice of the slaughtering of the people on the island too. Maybe they unintentially ended up killing innocent people while throwing fists and swords at each other.
I’d assume that they were collateral damage. Could be why Roger was pleading rocks to stop in the flashback. Relatively it was a good thing for the celestial dragons, less witnesses.
I feel like we aren't gonna get any more from God valley until luffy and shanks meet up
Seen as I believe that the crew are gonna get a few haki lessons from the red hair pirates and giants so as folk like brook, franky and chopper can get armament and the others can get observation, its about time they learned haki
Tbh the red hairs do have beef with straw hats right now..it's why shanks didn't want to see Luffy yet..barto burned one of there flags. But also I think we might get one when we see Garp again a gods valley flash back
Well only way we can get another god valley flashback is from one of the people who were there. Kuma, Ivankov, Ginny can’t since they escaped using the paw ow fruit. Whitebeard, John and rocks are dead. Big mom, kaido are missing in action, and likely dead. Saturn is predicted to die in the egghead arc. The only one who can give a window in that chapter of history are maybe Shiki, Eder nyon, miss buckin, Rayleigh, the remaining Roger pirates, god knights. And finally garp and his old marine team. It’s probably going to be fmgarp who shows us what really happened. Perhaps a result of lingering guilt on his role of covering up the governments atrocities.
It would be nice to see a flashback from Garps pov
Honestly I'll take more garp anytime!
Yeah, he seems to be one of those characters that says so little but knows so much. If Dragon was coming to Egg island but found out news Garp was taken down and became a hostage of BB pirates, I wonder what he would choose to do. I feel like egg island is more important for the world but it's your parent too.
Kuma gonna appear in Egghead sacrificing himself to kill Saturn. please Oda we need this '' win '', we need Kuma not to appear in Egghead just to die.
yo, here's my theory. In Baratie, oda and zeff choose to only call luffy "Chore Boy". I think this is obvious foreshadowing to him being "Joy Boy", as they sound very similar. What do you all think???? My friend group is roasting me but i think it's very likely that oda planned it.
- Did ROCKs discover how to "USE" the National treasure to control the world
- Dressrosa is already microversion of God Valley
- To be KING of the World goes in hand w/ Control of the WORLD.
Not out of the realm of possibility. Given what we save of kuma’s memories. Seems saturn is the pivotal person solely responsible for kuma’s miserable fate. From the lobotomy of his self, and quite possibly holding his daughter at ransom based on conversation between kuma and Bonnie. To looking down at kuma at god valley and giving him choices of be a slave or die. At this point old Santa Claus’s end is long overdue. Knowing oda’s style Luffy may be the one to giving the old man a beating, but finish him? That’s something a line he won’t cross, but maybe karma will be the victor and Saturn’s death will be the result of him being expired by something unexpected. Let’s just hope that it’s painful, and humiliating for him.

and i think he's ( Saturn ) the monster who killed Jenny too.
so joyboy is prolly buccaneer and not a giant right? prolly why the elders hate buccaneers so much
and why saturn told kuma that's exactly why they're targeted for extinction when he mentions nika
Given the pains that the world government took to eliminate the buccaneers, Joyboy being a revered figure in buccaneers folklore, and the fact that a giant straw hat exists in Mary Geoise that can fit kuma’s size. Yeah it’s likely Joyboy was a buccaneer.
now im wondering how or if the buccaneers specifically have a direct link to the D. clan.
im thinking Mihawk has royal blood. What are your thoughts on this? This mostly from that he used to live in a castle. I doubt he came from no where and just wanted to be strong.
I think we’re seeing a similar what Roger did to open the great age of pirates. After it happened the WG did the same thing for roger’s legacy and tried wiping his bloodline. It’s the exact same thing done to the buccaneers Though on a smaller scale. The buccaneers though suffered even worse persecution as it must have continued over 800!years.
I don’t know if it’s a history repeating itself or maybe it’s just oda’s love of parallels
i feel like the D. clan might have been an allied clan of joyboy and not necessarily his descendants, since Kuma doesn't carry it. Since we know Nefertari house had the D. name aswell, and they existed during Joyboy's time. It may be possible the D. clan were actually the original inhabitants of the ancient kingdom and Nefertari was actually part of the ancient kingdom's royal family but betrayed them to be part of the WG but then realized that was a mistake and ended up settling in Alabasta instead of being in Marie Geois.
could explain why imu absolutely hated lili and killed her to make sure she isnt a future threat. rather than just kill her cuz she only refused to be in Marie Geois
It’s possible Joyboy considered his crew family and his people just regarded him as a celebrity. Like@with Luffy and his hometown
it could be that imu was acting behind the scene even during the wae against the ancient kingdom with the 5 elders as their proxy and lili was deceived into helping them destroy it and then released the poneglyphs after she realized what the elders and imu actually were. To me it seems like Joyboy was just like Luffy, basically just a pirate that inherited the Nika fruit because he embodied ultimate freedom and went on a journey to free/help whoever he could and died trying to save the ancient kingdom.
Theory: Regarding Imu's Devil Fruit
So, some time ago, after all the things with Lulusia and Imu, I started seeing people linking Imu with tsunamis and things to do with the Red Line being on top of the water. I even remember some people saying he would have a tsunami fruit or something of the sort. Well, I have another interesting idea.
For a while, I've been thinking of the idea of a water logia df. It would be insanely op because they just wouldnt be weak to the ocean like a normal df user. And i thought of it again recently, and what if Imu's fruit is the water logia? If we're to assume that all the theories about him creating the tsunamis etc are accurate, what if its just a water fruit in general? To control water and manipulate and create etc you get it
Very excited for the next upgraded version of the Buggy Ball
oda did confirm that logia exists so its def possible. especially since it would prolly be the only df that would be able to circumvent the weakness of dfs and it would make sense for imu to be the one at the top that has it, since its probably the rarest of them all. Or imu might have actually been one of the original scientists that created dfs.
oda confirmed that? damn well thats cool
pretty sure he confirmed it exists in an sbs, could be wrong tho if someone can verify
seems like there was some source that said it was confirmed but i can't actually find the sbs that said it, so it prolly wasn't. sorry for getting ur hopes up 😔
thats the muggy ball
That's a view I didn't see it from, but I'll try to rethink it with that in mind
Any theories about the silhouette guy in Rocks crew?
Wang Zhi
Only confirmed Rocks member that isn't accounted for in the present, given that the guy with the helm was a general zombie
Hmm.
Could be, but I wonder why the silhouette?
Like is Wang Zhi important to the plot or anything?
I can't remember anything except when Sengoku name dropped him
Guess so
He was the boss of Pirate Island before the Rocky Port incident
Now we're getting somewhere. 👍
Okay listen.
In chapter 594, saint Peter says "there is no historical precedent for a man who's eaten two devil fruits", meaning to say that Blackbeard is the first.
See in the Japanese version the use of 人間 : "human".
The very same word used recently by saint Saturn to refer to regular "humans" as opposed to himself.
Theory : the statement from saint Peter does not include Celestial Dragons.
The Celestial Dragons / Gorosei actually do have access to a way to stack multiple devil fruits in the same user.
This is why Saturn is able to turn into a demon, heal himself, teleport and send pressure blasts with his eyes.
One Piece is really looking like a carbon copy of the Hispanic Empire:
- The "Void Century" is based on the Black Legend.
- The "Ancient Kingdom" is based on the Hispanic Empire.
- The "D." is based on the Hispanic D. that goes in the front of the first name.
- The "World Government" is based on the Anglo-Saxons.
- The "genocide-hunting game" is based on Anglo-Saxons killing native peoples around the world.
Theoretical one piece
I disagree. We are seeing this flashback on behalf of bonney stabbing saturn. It started with the story of kuma, likely through what she saw in the paw paw fruit.
I bet we are going to get this flashback through figarland garling, maybe upon seeing shanks again.
Wonder if 1097 is going to involve a building being blown up, or arson in that level.
(The release date is November 5.)
Hmm maybe Garling. Though I’d prefer that an ally would relate these events so there is a chance said events in god valley are accurate passed down and are not prone to bias. Given garling is a grade A celestial douche I wouldn’t put stock in his testimony of things
Given what we have of villain flashbacks it shows only their rise to power or paths down the dark roads and spiraling into the very monsters they become. We saw it with Kaido, big mom, so garling shouldnt be any different
Speculation on Imu's powers and abilities. Ok so basically I think Imu or whatever the body of Imu is has the real Gum Gum fruit. He erases peoples abilities like a rubber eraser which is exactly how he negated Sabo. And the wording of what he did with Lulusia is very strange.
How can that be only one gomu gomu fruit can exist at a time
Yes but remember luffys fruit is not the Gomu Gomu it's the Hito Hito no mi model Nika
It’s name was changed to gomu gomu. According to Vegapunk there never such a fruit as per the ancient devil fruit encyclopedia
Yes it name was changed but that doesn't mean that that is what it is. And if it is the Gomu Gomu and can erase things like I've said then Imu could have erased it from history
Imu negated sabo’s attack not due to a rubber ability. He ate flame….
Or he erased it 🤷♂️
What does this prove or disprove? Even if he did eat it(which I don't think so) it may just be his way of erasing things. The same way Luffy used the rubber abilities of his fruit creatively.
You can see imu’s eyes seemingly change shape in the center panels and a pair of clamped sharp-toothed jaws closed around sabo’s flames in the left panel
Erasing people's ability is basically what's BB is doing
Blackbeard’s ability is more negation than erasure I would say
Interesting 🤔 I also believe the yami yami no mi is the reason BB can use more than one devil fruit .
Oda definitely hiding something about that fruit
I still believe in the “Blackbeard has multiple souls within him” theory
yeah blackbeard flag has even 3 skulls
If that’s true wouldnt big mom be able to have more than one devil fruit? Since she absorbs souls into herself using her own powers
Marco said teach’s body was a little different from a normal human. Maybe three hearts?
Three souls or some triple organs like heart or stomach that is
I thought BM’s power was more that she took a part of her soul and gave into non-living things
Maybe having a triple cardio vascular system enables one to compensate for additional devil fruits. Mollusks like an octopus have three hearts. And in mythology the kraken is basically a giant quite and refered as the sea devil.maybe teach ate a mythical Zoan type
Along with taking a portion of each of the Totland people’s souls, but they just become a part of her one soul
So basically a mythical Kraken zoan?
I thought big mom would exclusively use civilians souls for her homies?
I heard ThatOnePieceTalk's theory that Garp isn't a fraud, but a coward and I just want to publicly state that it's the worst take I've heard from them yet.
I know it's a podcast so they gotta milk the substance for what it's worth but gotdayum.
oh that’s right I forgot lol
Bruh imagine believing Garp is a coward after literally splitting Hachinosu in half
They still be coming at Garp 🙄
The Fraudhawk theories are dumb enough, but Garp? I wonder if they’re reading the same manga
It seems obvious to me that garp is fighting from the inside. That he's essentially doing what luffy and dragon are doing, just with a different approach
that is an L take wow
if anyone's NOT going to be a coward its gonna be someone from the Monkey D. family
That and it’s probably like a sunk-cost sort of thinking for him. He feels like he’s dedicated too much of his life to the marines so why leave now?
That's an excellent point!
what happened to ginny
What do y'all think happened in the eight year gap that resulted in Dragon's tattoo?
ohara happened
made a vow that he wouldn't let clover and orahas will go to waste
It says ohara was what motivated the freedom fighters to begin with. Then 8 years passes and dragon shows up with his tattoo
could be something similar to luffy stabbing himself with a knife to get his scar
I was thinking that the biggest thing that we know of in dragons life between those times is Luffy being born so it might be that
it says they were established after the great dawn of piracy. Than states after ohara destruction they were armed with determination. but even when he showed up in ohara he didnt have it yet. So who knows. The official translations will make more sense of it.
Dragon had time to go get someone pregnan and bounce after lol
also when Dragon shows up to Ohara, it always shows him being part of the freedom fighters. yeah the tatty could be a mark of Luffys birth or something symbolising it
That leaves the question as to when Dragon left the Marines before that
Im sure the one who captured ginny is manipulated kuma by WG
I've seen ppl get tattoos of their kids drawings, feet, hands etc. I wonder what a tribal-ish face tattoo would symbolise 🤔
I had thought garp and dragon had shandian blood
but also dragon being such a proud father he gets his face tattoo'd and then his son forgets his face without being told who he is, is so funny.
That's what I've always thought. And maybe his mother being a mink because luffy hangs with animals so much. But idk.
it's just an assumption that they could be from tribe. But his tattoos have always been curious to me.
I just really don't want Ginny to be Luffy's mom. Like Kuma declining Ginny for her own sake, and then Ginny getting with the equivalent of their shared boss could be read as ntr ngl.
Another reason I think she couldn't be luffy's mom is because she's really smart. I mean sure, Luffy could just have inherited Garp's intelligence, but, wouldn't it be much funnier if Dragon had been seduced by a weird airhead?
Has anyone talked about the theory of Kuma being a symbol for christianity?
Im gonna dump my theory real quick, it's very long, so let me know if i'm using this channel wrong
This is also phrased so that I could explain it to my friend who doesn't watch one piece, so forgive me if I explain stuff that doesn't need explaining
Bartholomew Kuma was introduced early on in the show as one of the 7 warlords (Pirates sanctioned by the world gov to hunt other pirates). However, we have known literally nothing about his backstory until recent chapters. To put that into reference, his debut was chapter 233 and his backstory began in CHAPTER 1095. Kuma has always been depicted with somewhat religious themes as he is pictured carrying a bible in all of the pre-timeskip scenes. NONE OF THAT MADE SENSE UNTIL NOW. During his debut he is dispatched to stop the strawhats, however after defeating everyone besides Zoro (everyone was already weakened from a prior fight with Gecko Moira, another of the 7 warlords), Zoro asks kuma to take his life on behalf of the rest of the crew. This peaks Kuma's interest, which was weird, but it'll make sense later. Kuma offers a proposal. Kuma used his power, the paw paw fruit, to essentially make air bombs by bouncing compressed air towards the strawhats (I don't really know it makes sense I promise lol). However, in response to Zoro's request, Kuma picks up Luffy and uses his power to remove all of Luffy's pain from his battle with Gecko Moira. This creates a massive air bubble which, when a small fraction was removed and touched Zoro, caused so much pain that Zoro collapsed and had to catch his breath. This leads to an iconic scene where Zoro shoulder's the pain of his captain and is found surrounded by a pool of his own blood. When prompted by Sanji as to what happened, Zoro said, "Nothing Happened." (This is important I swear) We also find out kuma is a cyborg. Which is later revealed to be because Kuma is an experiment of Dr. Vegapunk (Basically the Albert Einstein of One Piece). After this we see Kuma one more time in which he saves the strawhats from certain death by using his power to blast each strawhat off to far away Islands, and weirdly enough, each strawhat ends up at an island where they are able to hone their skills (This is where Zoro spent two years fighting monkeys and training his swordsmanship, Luffy ends up on an island where he learns haki which is a very important skill, etc. etc.). The next time we see Kuma, he is no longer Kuma. After the time skip, Kuma loses all sense of self and becomes a full robot (I think, there's stuff happening in the most recent chapter that makes me think otherwise). Not just a robot though, Kuma becomes a mass produced machine of war with no will. These units were called Pacifistas (interesting choice of name). The pacifistas were a major thorn in every pirates side. Sometime down the line we find out Kuma was a former member of the revolutionary army, but besides that we dont see from him again. Until now. In the two most recent chapters we finally find out what Kuma's true powers are. Outside of the bouncy power of his paws from the paw paw fruit, Kuma can remove pain and memories. We learn this because we see when Kuma became a machine of war he chose to separate all of his memories for his daughter to find. We also learn his backstory, where after escaping slavery (Another long essay, but not super important for this), he and another former slave take refuge in a church. Kuma prays to thank god for saving him, and as the years go by Kuma continues to be a holy man.
He spends one day every week removing pain from all of the townsfolk who stop by for free, and after they leave, he would bear their burdens alone, plunging himself into their pain so that it never returns to them. Kuma spends (to my knowledge) almost 30 something years continuing this practice which by the way would cripple him every week. After bearing the burdens of countless townsfolk, he had to stay bedridden for a day or two to recover afterwards. NOW we finally get to why I think his religious symbolism is so perfect. The thing that Eli enlightened me with. Kuma is Christianity. He is the most outstanding example of self sacrifice in One Piece (of which there are many). Kuma spent his entire youth and adulthood bearing other peoples pain, and the people saw him as a symbol of kindness. Sometime down the line, he gets captured by the world government and becomes weaponized. Kuma's life symbolizes early Christianity, and it's warping throughout the years. Ending in the world government weaponizing Christianity as a tool of war. BAM
^ This last bit is basically the TL;DR
Lmk what you all think!
Also lmk if I got any stuff wrong
I also just realized. This theory could go further. What is the buccaneers arent actually a race, but a group of people. Buccaneers is a really stranger name for a race. WHAT IF, the buccaneers are actually descendants of the original joyboys crew? I got this Idea when I found out that the name Bartholomew comes from one of the 12 apostles. My theory as to what the buccaneers are is the descendants of joyboys crew. That explains why the buccaneers are the only ones who pass down stories of Joyboy. That also explains why the world government would want them wiped out. And what are buccaneers but a crew of pirates?????? IM POPPING OFF RN LMAO
Guys how does the guy that robins mom got caught up with connect with these events?
Clover?
I think buccaneer's original homeland was Hachinoso, which means beehive but also Hachi means 8. In the Ancient Kingdom symbol, there are 8 circles surrounding a larger circle. Hachinoso also had a treasure. Davy Jones created Davy back fights on Hachinoso
The 8 crewmates of the original joyboy?
I think there could have been 8 groups under him, for example Shandoria, Kozuki and Fishman island for sure
Fleet captains could make sense
Do we know if kuma's dad had the circle with 8 points anywhere on/near him?
Don't think so
I know this sounds crazy, but doesn't long ring long land have a similar pattern going on?
10 instead of 8
I just looked that up too. If Yamato joins the crew, then, aside from luffy, the strawhats will have 10 crewmates
I think it's most likely Vivi who rejoins the crew
Why's that?
Well she's with Morgans rn , with a chance of her being near egghead. Elbaf is next most likely, so parallel to Little Garden. The significance of Lili dispersing the poneglyphs with maybe the paw-paw fruit (hands of liberation). In the vivre card databooks, she is listed as 13th crew member (12 and 11 being Merry and Sunny, but 1-10 are the normal crew). Not saying Yamato won't be relevant, but I think Vivi will have a big role as the next generation to help lead the world into a new power structure.
That would be cool to see, I didn't know she was listed as the 13th member
Ginny age aligns perfect with Current bonney age, shes another of VP "failed clone" came out pink like kaidos dragon
blonde stussy was the 1st "successful clone" cause it matched Bakkin hair. Ginny hair wont match clone bonney pink
Bonney's crew is sus not gonna lie. Unless Gyugyu is looking out for her. But yeah possibly. Either clone or daughter of Jinny
bonneys crewmembers are identical to ginnys ppl
it happened 22 yrs ago, pre timeksip bonney is 22. if 1100 is about dragon, and dragon was a marine who left at 17, then at 25 akainu capture ginny
Nah i think boney is Ginny's daughter but not Kuma's biological daughter. Maybe some celestial dragon. So that's why Saturn and world governments go easy on her.
I do think it's possible slavers caught Jinny and she becomes a slave again and that's what motivates Kuma to work for government
shes a clone, kuma didnt want her to have ginny memories of her being enslaved but history repeats itself "a cold shiver runs through me when i heard run away from the gov" cause thats ginnys memory
VEGAPUNK WORKED ON HER

My bad! Won't happen again
Was having same feeling, that would also explain why the gorosei is not interested on her
All good, appreciate it man
Does anyone have any theories on what the egghead island incident could have been?
its cause theirs clones experiment has evolved into seraphim with df
Buggy when confronted with John's treasure gonna show his real power. Both John and Buggy are greedy but in two different ways - Buggy is comically greedy and still wants to find One Piece, but he always pursued John's treasure. John was always greedy and didn't care for anything else than his gold but was a fearsome pirate with strength going x100 Buggy. My theory is that after finding road poneglyphs in Zou (I guess that Buggy will get there following his luck and going to be greeted as former Roger pirate) and Whole Cake Island he will find another pieces to John's treasure so he can aim for it once again. Once Cross Guild gets there, there will be tons of sick paramecias to hand over to crew which will boost them to around WB level bounty. Only then will they try to reach the scarred man and meet with Shanks' and Straw Hat Crew.
if word of saturn form goes out... the world goes crazy
Buggy, after finding the beloved treasure will change for sure, maybe develop even haki. My speculation is of course that the whole crew will develop largely after this.\
And as Buggy's DF would be best with kenbunshouku, he'll probably get busoshouku instead.
I think she will not join the crew but will stay with them for a while for protection or maybe she plays a bigger role allowed with straw hats yet not still in the crew
For some reason I think Mihawk could be the bounty hunter behind Ginny’s capture. It being 14 years ago would put him in his prime years at the age of 30. It was mostly the dark boots of the figure in the panel who was watching Ginny speaking to her subordinates. I also understand that could be anybody
It’s possible but I also don’t think it’s in mihawks character to grief scrubs for cash.
Garling might be more likely considering he’s getting so much focus lately or another big name government type.
Hmm true forgot about the Garling appearance and the Holy Knights
i think it may akainu who chased down ginny
