Okay mini theory. Dragon was a marine and potentially akainu's friend. This stems from how much akainu seems to be hating luffy for being dragon's son. Yeah dragon is a revo and enemies of the wg and akainu should hate them but so is luffy but the worst thing about luffy to akainu? he is dragon's son.

The reason I believe this might actually be true? The chinese zodiac.

Some of y'all might be aware of the 12 chinese zodiac animals and how the marines have some ties to it, but now that I think about it it seems we have a full set with only 2 animals missing and I feel like dragon was one of them. So let me list them for you.

Rat - ??? (maybe Nezumi lol)
Ox - Greenbull
Tiger - Fujitora
Rabbit - Momosuagi
Dragon - ???
Snake - Smoker (has an attack called white snake I think that might be his future title)

So I think dragon fits this theme and oda might go for it to complete the set of zodiac marines/ ex marines.

I think logia awakenings offer a zoan-like transformation, as seen in Enel, Caesar Clown, and Magellan. Or, logia-type fruits are not "types" at all, and instead they are just zoan fruits with special characteristics, like how Luffy can use awakened paramecia-style moves, like turning his surroundings to rubber, even though he has a zoan.

There’s no way that Crocodile alone could have accumulated enough Beri (over a trillion) for the Marine Bounties in just 2 years after he broke out. He must have to have the backing from a lot of influential people to be able to establish a Marine bounty system. And his backers must have a strong hatred for the Marines to be willing to pay billions for there deaths.

My best guess for his backers would be the remaining members of the Whitebeard pirates, who have been in hiding for over a year (minus Marco and Izo) and have yet to be reintroduced into the story.

They would have the funds and the motive to spite the Marines (especially Sakazuki) by working with Crocodile.

Dose anyone think that Elbaf is too obvious to be the next arc considering that Shanks is there? I feel like there would be another location between the Egghead arc and Elbaf arc. My guess is the moon because of how Vegapunk’s research (and home island) is closely related to the moon. There are lots of structures related to rockets on Egghead, not to mention that the climate control tech seems to make Egghead ideal for a rocket launch site. And the news of the Straw Hats going to space would certainly shake the world rather then just them escaping to Elbaf. When Smiley died, we learned that a devil fruit is reincarnated in the nearest fruit to the former user.

This means that while Blackbeard was under that sheet with Whitebeard as he died, he probably had a collection of, idk, apples or something in his coat. One of them turned into the Gura Gura No Mi. How he was able to eat it without dying, I don't know. But I think we've gotten a piece of the puzzle

Rough draft of my will of d theory

The will of D is the Will to Die for what you believe in. All D members we’ve seen die, die with a smile on their face. This is because they are content in what they have done in their life and what they are leaving behind. I first came to this thought by flipping the joke of the One Piece being the friends we made along the way. Making it the friends we lost along the way. The people that made sacrifices did so for the people they believed in. With this in mind I believe that is the reason Roger wanted to live in Joy Boy’s time. Because after seeing what JB believed in and his dream, it was something Roger would die for himself. Laying your life down for someone else, would take the strongest of wills and constitution to do. With this I believe that every strawhat will become a D member because they are all willing to lay their life down for Luffy. Once they all become Ds I can see the crew members who haven’t had their full names revealed (Nami, Brook, Ussop, Jinbei). Another thing is why was Shanks crying in his last conversation with Roger? This is because he couldn’t fulfill the will of D. I think Shanks tried testing this when he saved Luffy from the Lord of the Coast. He meant to fully sacrifice himself and die but only could give up his arm. I want to say this is because of Shanks being of celestial dragon blood. The Celestial Dragons are obsessed with living forever. The will of D being the will to die for what you believe in perfectly juxtaposes this.

I know that Mythological Fruits are the endgame, and most likely Dragon has one of those rare ones, but my Theory is that he may have a Logia fruit.
Many speculated he has the wind wind logia fruit, but what about a more complex and fitting one, the Weather Weather no mi?
The user became the embodiment of the weather, a weather man, and can turn into clouds as his main element, generate as many as he wants, recall them or dissipate them.
He gains control over the flow of the wind and could generate tornados at will. Reshaping the clouds density he can also creates huge fog’s masses. The Hax of these fog’s clouds is that they can even shut down one own’s Observation Haki if not mastered to the highest level.
The user can create storm clouds and unleash powerful rainstorm or lightning storm.
By gathering sea weather particles and combining them with tornados or lighting attacks, he can combo those elements to launch mixed attacks with numbing effects for who ever has eaten a DF.

So I suck at making theories. I just enjoy reading one piece, and reading theories. But me and my brothers were joking about how OP the paw fruit is, and how it can essentially push metaphorical concepts like memories and pain. Then, like we always do when conversing about paramecias, brought up what it’s awakened from could do. Then I had an idea. What if the paw fruit could push through another metaphorical concept? Like time.

Okay yes, time travel is the most stereotypical pulled-out-of-the-butt explanation of stuff, and can sometimes be cliche to the point of being annoying, but hear me out.

First, I was to note that this theory relies on the theory that the one piece is joyboys joy. If you haven’t read that, I recommend you do, it’s very good, and that’s what I believe the one piece is. But;

Luffy is joyboy. Someone (maybe kuma at the end, or a seraphim with his power? Idk, again this is a very rough theory.) with the paw fruit sends luffy, and potentially themselves, back in time to the void century (maybe for world government reasons) and then makes the one piece using his own joy. Maybe he’s sent back to his era by kozuki Toki, who was there in the void century. Back to his time, he releases the one piece, his memories to the world, and in some way frees them (potentially his dream?)

You can also factor in that Gold d roger said he had wished he was born in the same era as joyboy, but that could have just been a random statement.

And one last thing, you have to factor in that the one piece has to be something worth over 1000 episodes. It has to be mind blowing, and unbelievable. This fandom won’t take anything less atp. And would it not be fantastic if the one piece was already luffys? Idk

Again this is all a really rough theory, and in the hands of someone else, it could be better. But yeah, just a random funny thought I had

The One Piece - what Journey to the West can tell us about the treasure and the fate of the world

Journey to the West is a popular piece of Chinese folklore. It tells the records of the pilgrimage of a monk named Xuanzang (Tang Sanzang), who set out in search of Buddhist sutras through arguous trials and suffering. In the latest One Piece chapter a certain panel reminded me of that story, and after researching a bit it could definitely relate to One Piece, and subsequently to what the treasure could be.

As mentioned before, JttW is about a monk looking for holy scriptures, but gets stunted again and again by brutal trials. Similarly, the Strawhats are looking for the One Piece, like the Roger Pirates before them, but are also met with dangerous enemies. This might sound like a loose connection, but hear me out.

The first part (chapters 1-7) kicks off the story of JttW by introducing Sun Wukong, the monkey king. His story is very similar to Luffy's: both were rowdy children within a group of friends, were incredibly skilled at learning advanced combat, have powers rivalling the Gods themselves. This prologue also establishes Sun Wukong as a rival to the Heavens, similar to Luffy, whose name itself marks him as a threat to the celestial forces.

A certain part of Sun's story however may point towards the fate of Joyboy: after rebelling against Heaven, the monkey king was sealed below a mountain by the Buddha for five hundred years. Through this, I'm assuming that Joyboy was also sealed within a devil fruit, perhaps by Imu, to prevent him from rebelling further as Nika. Note: in this theory I'm assuming Joyboy was the first Nika, and that Joyboy and Luffy are very similar people. So, in short, Sun Wukong is Joyboy here.

Many years later, Gol D. Roger becomes the first pirate king and hides the One Piece presumably on Laugh Tale. In JttW's second part (chapters 8 - 12), Tang Sanzang becomes frustrated with the state of Tang China, with there being only "greed, hedonism, promiscuity and sins". In response to that, the Buddha sends Guanyin to search for someone to reclaim the sutras of "transcendence and persuasion for good will". And that's a very interesting point for this theory. Guanyin searched for someone to basically restore peace and balance and Luffy was pretty much set onto his journey by Shanks. So, Shanks is our Guanyin and Luffy is our Tang Sanzang. Shanks' goal might have been the return of Nika all along.

Side note: Tang Sanzang is an allegorical representation of the human heart which also fits well with Luffy. Also, in the story, the monk often gets himself and his disciples into various predicaments, which leads to his disciples having to save him over and over, which also kinda checks out with Luffy.

In the third part we meet the disciples: Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing and the White Dragon Horse. We can assign each of these to (currently prominent) carriers of the name of D.; Sun Wukong to Luffy/Joyboy (and/or Dragon) (human mind), Zhu Bajie or Pigsy to Blackbeard (base human nature/desire), Sha Wujing or Sandy to Law (human obedience and conformity) and the Dragon Horse to Vivi (human will).

In JttW, it is suggested that the calamities befalling the group are engineered by fate and the Buddha. Who's to say the strangely convenient arrivals of the Strawhats aren't also engineered by a higher power? By the Buddha, one last disaster is brought upon the travellers, as 81 calamities are required to attain Buddhahood.

After fourteen years the characters finally arrive at the half-real half-legendary Vulture Peak. This would be our One Piece. Laugh Tale, already having "tale" in its name, is a half-real half-mythical place that transcends reality itself and contains the "holy scriptures", in our case the lost records of the void century.

The One Piece is history itself. (1/2)

Gol D. Roger mentioned he was too early to arrive on Laugh Tale, because the story wasn't finished yet. The One Piece was incomplete. In JttW, Tang Sanzang receives the scriptures from the living Buddha. We know a living Buddha as well; Sengoku might play a bigger part in the climax of the story.

At the end of the story, Sun Wukong and Tang Sanzang attain Buddhahood, Sha Wujing becomes an arhat (someone who has gained true insight into the nature of existence and achieved Nirvana, but is not quite ready for Buddhahood), the Dragon Horse becomes a Naga (water-dwelling half-serpent half-human beings of semi-divinity who are said to guard submerged treasures, be it wealth, supernatural or "spiritual" treasure) and Zhu Bajie is made an "altar cleanser" (someone who eats the excess offerings at altars). This could be the ultimate fate of the D. listed before. Luffy liberates the world from the WG's clutches and leads the Age of Freedom, Law is his counterpart, leading with reason instead of impulsivity, Vivi guards the long-lost records to prevent history from ever be erased again and Blackbeard... If he survives, it's not looking good for him, lol.

Ok, the gist of its a mixture of Bonney's behavior and the way several characters who know of her.

Bonney is incredibly immature, frequently using more childlike euphenisms (Such as claing she will 'Kick the Straw Hats Butts' in the New World during Saboady, or exclusively reffering to Kuma as Daddy), reacting extremely to bugs, having intense mood swings (especially when food is involved) and seeming to change to her childlike form when she lost control of her powers earlier in the arc.

Furthermore, we have the reactions of the various people who knew Bonney to her. In particular Saturn rights her off as a threat do to being "A young girl", and Kizaru talking about how fast shes grown since he last saw her. Even Vegapunk tends to treat her like shes younger then she is. The fact her age is explicitly given a question mark, would imply she isnt actually in her early 20s and we know she isnt actually likely in her 30s since Kuma is her father and him having a kid in his early teens seems unlikely. Meaning she is likely younger.

Of course, this theory isnt fullproof. Bonney can be fairly mature on occasion, and those 3 men are all fairly old. And the ? To her age may be a red herring. Eitherway though, Bonney is a mystery, and her being younger may be true.

In the official VIZ translattion, Saturn only referred to her as a girl instead of young girl or little girl.
Bonney herself said that she been to Egghead before when she was still a child and at that time Egghead was just an ordinary labotary.
It could be that Kizaru implied that Bonney had grown so much since he last saw her when she was still a kid which isn't an unlikely thing for someone to say to a person he/she haven't seen for ages.

Maybe the moon represents the only light before dawn. It signifies the remnants of the revolution (D clan) before Luffy came (The Sun), who will win the war in the end. The D clan are the ones who tried to be the light against the darkness 800 years ago and they prepared the way (Poneglyps, Zunesha, Ancient Robot, Ancient weapons, etc) for the "Sun" to continue the war and win in the end. It also appears that the D clan is aware that they can't win unless the right person finally comes.

Nami wants to map the entire world and I feel like this is going to go beyond the one piece, beyond the grand line.

The other three blues, the North poles, and the moons are all areas she could want to map out. Also the islands they did not sail through the first time round in the grand line.

And Luffy loves adventure so he will likely tag along.

The rest of the crew have different dreams and may not be down for another big adventure after this.

Whether they are romantic or not is another matter.

Gear Six prediction

I'll start with this:
Luffy's fruit is different in every sense of the word and by every definition of a devil fruit. It is a zoan that acts like a paramecia and the actual Zoan form doesnt actually act like a Zoan until the user has done an extreme amount of work. Luffy had to DIE in order for him to access his Zoan form...unless...he hasn't acccessed it yet?
The way a Zoan fruit works is that the user eats the fruit and they then can turn into a buffed af version of that animal, then the user has the option to merge their animal and human forms to access the animals strength while keeping the dexterity and usage of a human body. But the hybrid isn't always a flat out increase. Sometimes the full form is stronger than Hybrid or has aspects that a hybrid cant use. Take a look at Luci, when he first ate his fruit he chose to bite Luffy with his animal form, suggesting that the Animal form has a stronger and more effective bite. Then take a look at Kaidou, he has to be in his full form to use his most powerful attacks, IE: Flame Bagua.
Then theres Luffy, take a look at his current Sun God form, doesn't anything seem off? The aspects of a Full Zoan form is that the user completely and totally turns into THAT thing, but Luffy didn't do that, Luffy turned into Luffy with white hair and clothes. Luffy doesnt AT ALL look like Nika, so why is this?

GEAR 5 IS ONLY HYBRID FORM

Taking into account everything else, what if Luffy hasn't become strong enough to access all of Nika's power? Good point, to me Luffy doesn't look enough like Nika. At least with Sengoku he was a giant fad buhdda, the only real differences from a legit buhdda statue was his head and justice cloak. Here’s a list of theories I have for potential allies in the Elbaf arc and reasons why they can appear.

Ors Jr- A friend of Ace’s after the late pirate visited Wano and made a kasa for the giant. Oars Jr would recognize Chopper’s kasa from Wano and bring up Ace to Luffy.

Vista- Ace’s former crew mate that has a history with Yasopp, who is currently on Elbaf with Shanks. There past can be shown in a flashback to give context for there mutual tension.

Given that the CD castle is called Pangea, I'm assuming the obvious part here is that the islands all used to be put together. Here's a thought. Blackbeard says that his yami-yami powers can pull in any user's devil fruit powers right and if I remember correctly without physically weakening the user like seastone does. So does that mean he can separate the power of a user from the user itself? If so, then the said devil fruit user will not be weak towards the sea/seastone. That means if there is a situation in which one of his crew members is captured with seastone cuffs, then he simply touches them to temporarily make the crew member a non-devil fruit user --> said crew member is not weakened by the cuffs anymore --> crew member can now use full power haki to break seastone cuffs and escape while in contact with blackbeard. Maybe thats why he was so successful in impel down.

I have a theory as to why the characters in one piece speak one language (aside from the real world reason). I think that when the world government came into power, they made the whole world speak one language. It’s certainly possible, but not an obvious answer. I get you’re trying to connect the dots between Buggy’s sickness and Laugh Tale, but it’s difficult to make those connections because, like you said, it’s not like we know much about the Ancient Kingdom. So the Time Machine part is really hard to corroborate right now since it would kinda defeat the purpose of the poneglyphs being proof of the true history. Moreover regarding Buggy’s sickness, it’s not like we haven’t seen other characters get sick. Toki, for example, got sick on Roger’s ship randomly and was able to recover once she arrived at Wano. If someone wanted to argue they Buggy’s sickness was pure coincidence, they could point to Nami getting sick early on in the SH’s journey through the grand line.

Either way, it’s an interesting thought but like you said there’s not a lot of evidence so it’s difficult to make much headway in proving it. Hopefully we’ll learn more about the Ancient Kingdom and get some of these questions answered soon.

The one piece (Final Piece) would be the Ancient Big Egg. Nika fruit is not the actual one piece because Shanks said in a recent chapter that they will just starting to find the one piece. (If Nika fruit is one piece, ofcourse he don't need to find it because he already found it)

Luffy G5 is the key to control all Gigantic weapons of the Ancient Kingdom to destroy the center of Redline, the Marijois itself, which is also the location of All Blue. (The same place where Joyboy planned to evacuate the fishmen using Noah).

Roger said they arrived too early as they've not yet obtained the Nika Fruit - The key to command the Giant weapons of Joyboy (Zunesha, Ancient Robot, The Egg). When Shanks found the Nika fruit and ate by Luffy, he had no choice but to bet on Luffy that he will reach the Raftel someday, learn the void century and Joyboy's plan, and to become the pirate king. He highly bet on Luffy to the point that he needed to sacrifice his one arm to inspire Luffy in an extreme level and force him emotionally to become a strong pirate and hoping that soon he will finally control the Nika fruit. (Which I believe originally planned to give to Ace)

I've always liked the idea that the tangible treasure that is the One Piece will actually be something we got: the entire story that we love so much. But this can't just be a meta fourth-wall thing, it's gotta have an in-world impact as the invaluable treasure that it is said to be. We've all heard the song and felt that this funny traveling tale was a wink at our own adventure and also an old legend of the sea, perhaps from a forgotten century. Information is the most valuable of treasures in a world where the Govt tries to suppress it, so it would make sense for the One Piece to be the whole story one needs to know to understand the Void Century.

Oda likes to surprise us with goofiness and most of us expect the reveal of Laugh tale to be no different, especially given the name. The D. isn’t for a word, Destiny or Descendant. The D. was a name long ago hidden, by the WG most likely. The power the ancient kingdom had was in part due to this name, so either to win or after winning the ancient conflict, the old WG sealed away the rest of the name, leaving only a D.

point being, zoan fruits absolutely grant new powers, you're just thinking of the basic zoans too restrictively. they grant the powers associated with whatever animal they represent. in some cases, that's the power of being a dog or a cat or whatever. claws, fur, enhanced senses, stuff basic enough that it doesn't seem like a "new ability" but is. the only uniting factor of zoans is that you will take on the traits of whatever animal you ate, anything past that is a new, unique ability granted by that fruit. some just get extra special powers by comparison like regeneration, or elemental breaths, or shooting wind blades for some reason

if anything, the reality bending nature of luffy's gear 3rd in particular kinda implies it's a form he can only utilize due to the real power of the fruit. it never made any sense that a giant balloon arm would hit like a solid object until 500 chapters later with gear 5. even from early on, his fruit was giving him abilities that went far beyond creativity in how he was using his fruit or simple stat buffs.

“We Are!” - The music that will power Joyboy

Music and song has always been a big part of the One Piece story from the very start and it expresses a sense of freedom and happiness. From very early on Luffy has always wanted a musician on the crew and they finally got it in Brook, and I believe that Brook’s character gives a big hint towards what the One Piece treasure is gonna be.

We have seen when Laboon becomes happy from Brook playing his music, which shows that music is a language that all creatures can understand. Brook has his crew’s final performance recorded in a “Tone Dial” that to him is his biggest treasure that he wants to pass on to Laboon.

Next we have another big hint in “Scratchmen Apoo” and his “Oto Oto no mi”. When Apoo plays his music it can transform into attacks of any kind - his “fighting music”.

Recently we saw Film Red and Uta putting on a musical performance and in there rainbows were very visible and a theme.

I believe that one part of the One Piece treasure is recorded music that is passed on to the next Joyboy. The reason for the Nika Nika fruit being a requirement to actually use the One Piece is that the music emitted from it would boost Nika into fighting with ultimate freedom - very similar to when Super Mario gets a Star and glows like a rainbow and becomes really strong. Nika being a "Sun God" also give a hint since sunlight include all the colors of the rainbow.

The biggest hint for what song recorded as part of the One Piece is an orchestral version of the song - We Are! (First opening of the One Piece Anime)
If you listen to that opening, at the very start you can hear drums playing very similar to the Drums of Liberation.

In a world like One Piece it's entirely believable that most folks who get the fruit, although I think they've mentioned not many have, would assume it to just be rubber from the first impression and WG propaganda surrounding it. Wild theory, still very new and I am working on it. I think the the Bara-Bara No Mi is a Mythical Zoan, similar to the Hito-Hito No Mi, Model: Sun God Nika. Similarly how Buggy will be Luffy's final opponent/rival.

Reason 1: Buggy has been kept in the story for way too long, and I don't think Oda would keep a gag going for a 1000 chapters for no reason.

Reason 2: Buggy most likely has Haoshoku Haki. He declared in front of Mihawk, the worlds strongest swordsman, and Crocodile, who is very strong, that he would become King of the Pirates even after they threatened him. Another fact supporting this is that people with Haoshoku Haki are natural leaders, which Buggy has been throughout the story.

Reason 3: The Bara-Bara No Mi is incredibly similar to the Gomu-Gomu No Mi. Basically the exact same, except Buggy is immune to swords, and Luffy is immune to bullets. If that isn't enough, the Bara-Bara No Mi was being hidden in a chest on Roger's ship, similar to how the Hito-Hito No Mi, Model: Sun God Nika was hidden in a chest on Shank's ship.

Final Reason: If they were to fight, Zoro would be able to fight Mihawk and become the strongest swordsman, like he wanted. I'm not sure how Crocodile would come into this, but maybe something along the lines of Sanji was mad at him for hurting Vivi? Or maybe Jinbei fights him because it's water vs. sand.

I thought there could be a possibility that when Luffy and Zoro referenced "they", the two of them were referring to Blackbeard's crew, and how they should be wary of Blackbeard. But them being afraid of crews is out of character.

These two were the same people who confronted the Arlong pirates without hesitation, went up against the Baroque Works syndicate (which was massive even at the time) and Crocodile (who is a Warlord and a super powerful one at that), and even after Skypiea they weren't afraid to take on Doflamingo or Kaidou despite the massive threats their crew could face.

But specifically in Jaya, Luffy and Zoro didn't challenge Blackbeard. Nothing about their dreams (like Luffy would always exclaim being King of the Pirates to competition [Kidd and Law]) and nothing about battling. Logically given their actions with other crews and their hidden leaders so far, Luffy and Zoro wouldn't hesitate to take on another challenge. But this time, Luffy and Zoro stayed away from Blackbeard. I'm 95% sure Luffy and Zoro were referring to multiple people within Blackbeard. I don't see another reason where after a Fishman crime lord, powerful Warlord, and before another Warlord and two emperors, they were particularly cautious around Blackbeard whom they'd never encountered.

Not really. Oda naming convention usually have connection .he wouldn't make half of the gods names from Roman and half of them the older names. Furthermore, I do like the choice of naming the ancient weapons like Poseidon etc, by the name you could kinda guess which power they have. Poseidon is pretty much confirmed, also it aligns with Neptune (like there are Greek and Roman names, that refer to the same god or planet) - I would argue that if we get more confirmation in the manga, Poseidon and the Gorosai will act accordingly in a future plotline.

What I do also find interesting is the choice of names of attacks by Garp - Galaxy - something, like he himself is a dividing position in the Galaxy, hence in the set of the Gorosai and their names and powers. Could also just be, because it sounds cool.

Given the massive growth Luffy/Zoro/Sanji had in 2 years, it's possible Shanks wasn't as good as a fighter back then and Blackbeard managed to overwhelm him. It doesn't give me a specific time frame in that ten years but if he had a full crew ten years later I would say almost immediately after gods valley he was captured by the world government and taken to punk hazard where he escapes meets king and starts his crew and becomes yonko..

The rocks pirates abandoned each other when rocks lost except maybe big mom cause she was the only one, based off what we’ve seen, that returned to hachinosu, the main base of the rocks pirates, whitebeard and Kaido weren’t present, the only two people we know that wasn’t killed that was apart of the rocks pirates. It would make sense for both whitebeard and Kaido to abandon rocks instead of staying with the crew or what’s left of it like big mom did. I’m essentially saying the rocks pirates didn’t have trust or loyalty amongst the crew which inevitably ended up with their demise, and I believe the same will happen with bb crew.

I mean it was confirmed in previous chapters, that the Rocks Pirates did not trust each other. What could have been assumed is, that WB was a senior and that young Big Mom and Kaido got beat up by Roger and Garp.

We do not have any confirmation but we do know that Jack of Kaidos crew was sentenced to rescue Joker, aka DoFlamingo aka Doffy but he did not succeed. He was way more persistant on Zoe - even cutting out peoples limps.
I would assume, since Garp was in charge of the transportation - Kaido (as he stated in Wano - you are strong but not strong enough to Jack) - that he called Jack off, after he got notice that Garp was on the ship or after Jack and Garp fought and Jack did not have a chance against him.
