I mean, until Oda confirms it I can't be like "hey he says this in this chapter". But given the current info:
- A race came from the moon, the lunarians
- The moon had advanced tech
- The moon can control tides and water
- Water is the enemy of devil fruits
- Imu can make whole ass islands disappear by crossing them out on a map
- Devil fruits come from dreams/imagination
- The vegapunk automaton (the one he discovered) is the same size as a mk 3 pacifista
- the seraphims look like moon automatons, or at the very least they're heavily inspired by them (see: size, wings)
- Skypiea having the ponyeglif script that is found nowhere else besides ponyeglifs
- Skypiea being connected to the moon
It seems plausible to me that's how events turned out. Maybe I'm wrong, and if I am then good, I'm excited to see what comes next. But so far? Seems very plausible to me.
Hell even Imu's name. Could be a Gol d. roger case, where the M stands for moon or Imu stands for something else, and is used as obfuscation, but that's wild speculation I agree. If you have evidence of me being wrong can you please post panel images? I did, I tried to support my claims
About point 6 of Df coming from imagination.
Through various sources and references it's been concluded the statement was more along the lines of "dreams give birth to devil fruits", which might mean dreaming as in magically manifesting (less likely imo coz i don't see magic being a thing in one piece), or it can be that people worked super hard and made their dream of having a particular df be created via science come true (would make more sense imo because it would be following the core plot of one piece that people work super hard for their dreams).
Also, the latter meaning would make more sense if we think about how the theme is to work hard for ur dreams, AND also the tech was super advanced 800 years ago
Yeah the df from imagination thing has plagued the scans readers. It’s much more figurative than it is literal, and even VP says it’s only a theory. The real significance is that everything is brought into this world with hope, people are conflating that with the fruits literally coming from imaginations .
I think that crocodile has awakened his devil fruit and I actually think it was the first ever fruit awakening we see and it was at his first appearance, think about it with string and mochi we saw the awakenings manipulate the surrounding because that’s what their devil fruit awakenings were but in alabaster we see crocodile doing something similar he describes it as something else but I think it was the first sighting at devil fruit awakenings, even if that isn’t it we haven’t seen much of other logia awakenings but no other logia so far we have seen has had a seperate feature to their devil fruit apart from Blackbeard which is crocodiles ability to drain water we don’t see another ability like that in any other logia type (as I said apart from dark) and crocodile is experienced in his devil fruit so there is a chance he awakened it at some point but that’s just my theory please let me know if you have anything to add on to it or let me know if you disagree
It actually makes sense mate
What do people think of the 'Stussy is a triple agent' theory?

We request that shared links are accompanied with a short summary of the theory’s premise and some of the points/evidence it uses to support its argument. Please edit your msg and add some of the evidence/reasoning that this theory uses to argue its triple-agent idea.
All 3 of those you listed have no chance so far nor can even contend for CoC, Nami and Ussop both don't have Arm OR Conq and Sanji only has Arm, and even then ALL 3 of them aren't trained in haki unlike Luffy and Zoro, nor does Nami and Ussop have any haki training AT ALL, this part of the theory is just a weak af point and shouldn't of been added but the rest is pretty alright
Wasn't she there with the whole group when the defenses went down tho? And she was also on the cameras when the defenses went down the first time
You don’t need other haki first to use coc what? Luffy first usage of haki ever was coc? Yea I know ussop and nami don’t have coc? That’s why I I think they should get it. Why did you mention they don’t have coc in a post that’s saying they might get it 💀. Sanji has coo and coa? He has had actual haki training. He was with ivankov. Zoro and Luffy receive 0 haki training in coc so idk why that matters. These points small as hell
What if Kuma gave up his memories to vegapunk, because he wants vegapunk to add them to his brain for people to view/see, in order to educate people and show them the horrors of the past, but evolve and grow.
He didn't want Vegapunk to tell Bonnie about all this, KNOWING she will try and restore him. If she does this, Kuma's acrifice and mission was in vein.
And maybe Kuma will die or self destruct at some point in the story, so that his memories will never return and they can be kept to show to others.
Exactly. I see too many people criticizing oda for this but it isn’t even confirmed that that is 100% how dfs came to be, with it just being a theory by Vega punk

Although, going along the lines of what VP said he did mention that devil fruits are very unnatural. I feel like it's beyond just technology as nothing else they have made in particular is directly affected by the mother of nature. There's a solid chance VP's theory is wrong but I think the bulk majority of it will be to some extent true.
Yeah Im sure there will be some unnatural stuff, my point was not 100% is it something magical which just materialized into being simply by imagining.
Vegapunk theorised it but didn't give some solid proof. Means it is bound to have some changes. But considering it was the world's smartest human who said these words, there has to be atleast some facts behind it
Would be interesting if he was trying to preserve his memories to show the wickedness of the WG. Kinda of like how the ponegylhs have true information from the past that cannot be erased, and in Kuma's case I wonder if anyone can even destroy his memory bubble without the paw paw ability
Yeah I agree with this. Devil fruits being the manifestation of a culmination of people's dreams would be pretty interesting. They also respawn without any sort of technology helping, I don't think it'll be explained as magic but as the energy source VP mentioned earlier in the arc. He said there's some sort of energy everywhere and that could tie in well to how DF supposedly manifest out of nothing
About that, I'm imagining what happened to luffy's pain which Zoro felt? Was it absorbed by Zoro?
If we think along those lines, i think there's a possibility if someone feels those memories then they basically "absorb" them.
Now the question will be that Luffy's pain got removed from luffy, so the memories should have been removed from Kuma...too many possibilities
If Bonney accidentally absorbs all of Kuma's memories
Kuma's ability is weird I was hoping he had removed them in a manner that they could be reinstated into his body later. So that even though he looks his lost mind as of now he could potentially go back to who he once was with his old memories being restored
Yes same, i don't want him to forget everything that he's been through either. That makes him who he is and was
We need to see happy Kuma in present time just once
You know what CoC is right? It's Conquerors Coated Armament Haki...also no Luffys first ever Haki usage was Arm stated by Blackbeard in impel down saying he has Haki after he hit BB.
The first time Luffy used haki was CoC it was at the start of the sabaody arc when they were fighting Duval
We ignoring his conq in Marineford? Or when BB directly stated he used Haki against him unconsciously in Impel?
So 333vil is saying that Stussy "went to deactivate the Dome" while the other guys weren't watching, but he doesn't propose any explanation on how she could do that. The Frontier Dome is controlled from the control room, which is in the lab, inaccessible to CP0 because of the Dome.
No it’s not what? Acoc is that lmaooooo. Coc is color of conquers.

This was before impel down
||when Duval had the same face as sanji's wanted poster||
You don't need to spoiler tag anything that's up to the current chapter just fyi.
The first time Luffy used CoC was in Amazon Lily pre-ts (Ch519), which predates Impel Down and Marineford. Either way it doesn't matter what type of haki he used first, both pre-ts Luffy and even pre-ts Koby are examples that show that a person does not need prior haki training to have unconscious/uncontrollable moments of using haki.
Oh okay
What? Sanji has arm and obs, just not CoC
CoC is color of conquerors, acoc is where you use CoC to make your attacks stronger
never heard of poombugaar.....but with the current info that we know about the ancient kingdom is that it was a very technological advance civilazition and the current world is post apocalyptic type
Poompuhar is a part of tamil nadu which went under water due to constant soil erosion on the sea side, it's still happening now and also due to sea level rise. It is said to have the best harbour/ sea port system. And there's keeladi archeological site and many more like indus valley civilization.
ODA must've combined all ancient sites around the world or a specific one, who knows what's he thinking.
And for about Luffy being Hanuman, Hanuman's father is varuna bhagavaan right and in here Dragon has also that kind of power on the east blue arc.
Lilith is working with the Blackbeard pirates ?
How was Lilith being "evil" translated into the story, with her still being a scientist like all the Vegapunks ? It's the lengths she is willing to go to carry out her research. We have seen that she's happy to plunder ships in order to get materials.
This makes Lilith potentially the easiest Satellite to turn. She's willing to discard moral values for the sake of funding her research.
Suppose Lilith was just approached by some Blackbeard pirates who had just infiltrated Egghead. As a Yonko crew, they probably have a huge amount of wealth that they can offer to her, and get her to work with them. If she's not willing, they can even hypnotize her to get her to give in to her evil instincts.
The rest of Vegapunk wouldn't know anything as long as it all happens on the same day.
I explained here why it makes sense for the BB pirates to come kidnap Vegapunk : #manga-theories message
Additionally, as I explained here #manga-serious message , the attacker of Pythagoras is wearing DOM shoes. Lilith is absent from 1074 and wears them.
How exactly was any of the BB crew supposed to have gotten to Egghead? The sea-beasts would destroy anybody coming in(even cp0 sacrificed their ship) and Mr. Warp Warp Fruit is accounted for at the Law fight.
Shiryu can turn a ship invisible
Sorry to interrupt, but I sort of have an idea for the Carrot Stowaway theory
So, a lot of people think that carrot stowed away after being offered to lead the mink tribe (the manga never confirmed or denied the invitation), so she ran off to hide on the straw hats ship and join the crew (she wishes to see the world and help Pedro for-fill his wish of leading the world to the new dawn)
But people did talk about how she would be caught easily by the other crewmates
Unless you consider the wildcard: Caiboru
My theory is that she promised to give him lots of treasure and money in exchange for hiding herself inside his swampy body, and he agreed, (knowing where Nami’s stash is and how much is there)
Caiboru would be free from the straw hats and gets a ton of money
Carrot gets to help forfill both her and pedro’s dream as a Strawhat
Everyone wins
Kuma flashback will be on god valley.
The best evidence for this is that we know god valley was 38 years ago. kuma is aged 47, so he would have been 8-9 years old at the time. The flashback in 1074 shows kuma looking around that age.
Also one of the few things we know about god valley is that it is an island where celestial dragons and their slaves resided. The only other people we see in the kuma flashback are the slaves beating him to get back and the celestial dragons silhouette.
It might not give us the entire story behind what happened with rocks, Roger, and garp but it will take place on that island I believe.

It's an honor to be in such good company! Thanks to everyone who contributed to discussions here, it's a great channel
You skipped mine
Mayb someone will kidnap the gorosei guy. And I was thinking what is so special about the seraphim warlords compared to the warlords that aren't seraphim. Someone or something mentioned they were the most competent warlords when working with the Marines. I was wondering what's special about them all having an animal name. Now I'm randomly thinking each one is some kind of apex predator for each kind of species. Bear, shark, snake, and hawk. Mammal, fish, reptile, and bird predators
Well... It's more simple than that.
Boa hancock => Boa , snake, s-snake
MiHAWK => S-Hawk
Kuma, had a bear hat and kinda bear paw => S-bear
Jinbei looks like a shark => S-shark

After reading 1074 and a lot of personal thinking since onigashima I've come to a very controversial conclusion. For starters Robin called Sanji a wing of the pirate King. This caused a lot of controversy at the time because she didn't mention Zoro. I believe in my opinion Sanji and Zoro aren't parallels. Zoros real parallel, rival, is Luffy. I'll explain. Luffy is weak to slashes, Zoro was at the roof top with Luffy, Zoro learned adv conq while Ifrit Jambe (dk how to spell it) is adv armament. It seems like its always a back and forth of the worlds strongest and a swordsman. For example currently its Mihawk, and Shanks. Past we can argue Roger was a swordsman or not but whitebeard was the rival. We don't know if Ryuma rivaled a pirate King but we're lead to believe he was the world strongest. Now Zoros goal isn't to see Luffy become Pirate King, thats just a means to an end for him because it'll lead him to being the strongest swordsman. Not to mention the panel Oda drew for Luffy and Zoro as they were reflecting on Water 7. It really gave me Captain, Vice Captain vibes, but also partners, not just crewmates. Every power up Luffy has gotten Zoro has gotten one to match. Even Zombie Luffy from Thriller Bark, cause zoro got Shisui. I think the reason "nothing happened" is because Zoro took that pain to see if he's worthy of being on the same pedestal. If Luffy is gonna be Pirate King then am I worthy of being the Worlds Strongest Swordsman, can I take the pain he can. Not only did Zoro take that pain but it was also his on top of that. They both went through Haki training after the time skip. Zoro expected Luffy to use Conquerors Haki in Fishman Island. At the end of the journey Sanji will be the only one of the monster trio to settle down. Zoro will be the strongest and he'll keep fighting. Luffy will be the Pirate King and he'll keep adventuring. I think after the One Piece is found. Zoro will go his separate way and live out his life as the strongest.
Ik that but what is special about these animals or warlords. Because it's very odd he chose the only warlords that resemble animals for seraphims
Doffy is fine. croc is fine. Gecko is just a name. Blackbeard no (maybe hippo). Buggy no. Law no. Weevil no
blackbeard could be S-owl (because he doesn't sleep) and weevil could be S-weevil (because a weevil is an actual bug). I don't really know what buggy would be
gecko moria is s-bat. his japanese name is gek(ko mori)a and komori means bat. he also has his brick bat attack
Gotche but yea. I jst wonder if there's any reason there's only seraphims with animal names when. There are warlords that aren't animals like law. And if there's any reason why they didn't include the other ones who are an animal like croc and etc
the reason nothing happened is because zoro wanted to save luffy's life. zoro AND sanji were both fully prepared to die for luffy, it's just that zoro knocked out sanji before sanji could do anything
the original seven warlords have animal names. i assume the others with animal names just havent had the opportunity to be shown yet.
I understand that part but I think it was also a test of Zoro's determination towards his goal. I mean he tanked Luffys pain, on top of his own. Maybe I am reading to deep into it but otherwise I dont see anyone but Zoro being Luffy's rival eos.
I'm not sure. But my thinking. Is that they both parallel in different ways obv. But I always saw Zoro as the arms and Sanji as the legs. Also in wano. Zoro is like naturally strong. And Sanji is like Germa genetically strong and tries the suit i guess. Zoro does natural brute attacks. Sanji makes magic fire with his legs just like luffy. Zoro is fine in the new world. Sanji is strong but struggles and fractured his leg that one time
koby? trained by the rival of the past pirate king?? zoro and luffy are very far off in terms of strength, meanwhile zoro and sanji are relative with zoro having a slight edge. zoro's eos rival is sanji
Nah it can't be Sanji because his goal is to be a cook and settle down. Zoro isn't going to settle. I dont think Zoro and Luffy are far off. Sanji just learned Adv armament while Zoro was swinging around adv conq. I bet if Zoro was trained by Rayleigh he'd be up there with Luffy. I dont have any doubts Mihawk was a lazy ass instructor 😂
I see your point but Sanji has always been one step behind Zoro. I think from what we've seen in the story the reoccurring theme is the pirate king/strongest pirate is always rivaled by the strongest of something
luffy and zoro are very far off by a massive amount. end goal does not equal strength. just because sanji has a peaceful goal does not mean he is weak. zoro and sanji have always been relative to each other while luffy is miles ahead.
saying sanji is weak because he wants to be a cook is like saying whitebeard is weak because he wants a family
Don't get me wrong im not saying Sanji is weak but end goals does add a certain element to drive in what in youre doing
whitebeard wanted a family yet no one calls him weak
Because whitebeard was the strong to protect that family.
lmao you have to be trolling. he was strong before he had a family. he was a member of the rocks pirates and that is anything but a family.
Why am I trolling? I didn't call whitebeard weak. I didn't call Sanji weak. You dont seem to like what I have to say. I mean here we are talking about whitebeard which has nothing to do with my opinion on Zoro being Luffys rival eos.
I said whitebeard was strong. Was, because he was alive. He had the strength to protect the family he wanted. And to protect a family to be a father you have to be strong. But white beard isn't Sanji, he's not Zoro, and he's not Luffy, he's whitebeard.
Sorry mohdoo
I pinned yours in #manga-serious in the “in depth analyses” pin since it is more of an analysis and and summary of the mechanics of one piece story telling than a theory. But you are right that it is still worthy of being posted here, so I’ll add it to this pin once I’m back at my computer.
I think you are misunderstanding what @neon river is saying.
Whitebeard's birthplace, Sphinx, was kicked out of the WG when they couldn't pay the offering to the CDs, which led to chaos and eventually him becoming an orphan. He formed a pirate crew (The newgate pirates, not the WB pirates he formed later) that tried to basically fundraise for his village. They were pirates, but they used the money for good and his goal from very early on was to be a part of a family. He used his pirate crew as a bit of a family, and emphasized this importance in the WB pirates he later formed. So his intention has always been to form and protect a family. He defines family in a non-traditional way, but his goal has always been family.
I agree with a lot of this, but there are a few things you got wrong. First of all, not mentioning Zoro during mentioning Sanji is totally reasonable, since she was talking about a situation involving Sanji.
Zoro's goal absolutely is for Luffy to be the pirate king. He has expressed his willingness to die for Luffy's progress towards being pirate king multiple times. During Water7, he was clear that he was not just along for the ride to get strong, but also loyal to the crew and Luffy specifically. He has reiterated this idea multiple times. He strives to be the world's strongest swordsman, but it doesn't mean he doesn't also entirely dedicate himself to Luffy's progress. He believes in Luffy and is loyal to Luffy specifically as a member of the crew. He mentioned this a couple times during Wano recently.
If you read the chapter where Zoro decided to take Luffy's damage, my impression was that it was entirely loyalty-driven and that he was willing to die for Luffy.
What I do agree with is the idea that Zoro often compares himself to Luffy to reinforce the need for him to be as strong as possible. He often cites Luffy as evidence Zoro needs to be stronger, to be deserving of being on Luffy's crew.
I do agree with your character analysis regarding Luffy and Zoro pushing ahead even after the dust settles, while Sanji may cool off and "retire". I've always assumed Zoro will open a dojo in Wano EOS.
Luffy's Dream
The theory we’ve all heard 999999 times is that Luffy and Roger’s dream is for the whole planet to have a giant party. It represents “1 world at peace, 1 peace etc etc”. The party theory is common, but I don't think it is logically consistent with the character's reactions.
I will start out by examining each panel of someone reacting to this dream
“I’ll…” followed by “I want to be…”, indicates it is something individually-focused and some sort of achievement/action. This is consistent with Luffy’s philosophies. Luffy has said he is not a hero because heroes need to give other people their food and they are generally less free to do as they please as non-heroes. There are a lot of ways you can twist “I want to be…” to essentially say anything, but for the sake of this analysis, I will be assuming “I want to be…” is followed by “(Insert some sort of desire here, such as the richest person, the first to do something, etc)”. Luffy is also very much a “doer” and it is hard to imagine his dream being something that isn’t an action of some sort.
Now moving on to Sabo and Ace’s reactions:
How I read Sabo: In the first panel, he is scared and shocked. Whatever it is, it is something he does not assume is safe. In the second panel, he laughs as if the dream is completely and totally insane and perhaps unachievable. I take this to mean that after Sabo thinks about it for a bit, he decides “No, wait, that’s totally impossible. What a crazy thought!”. During the time he was considering it as a real possibility, he was worried about Luffy.
How I read Ace: In the first panel, basically the exact same as Sabo, but he strangely seems less surprised. In the second panel, Ace still thinks Luffy is serious, and he is shocked more than anything. He does not reject the possibility of Luffy trying to achieve this dream and he seems to remain concerned for Luffy.
My conclusions from Sabo and Ace reactions: The dream is dangerous. It is also something Sabo would never even consider, but perhaps an idea Ace has pondered in the past. It is a dream so wild that Sabo ends up rejecting the possibility.
Oden and WB’s conversation with Roger:
Roger says there are stories of a grand treasure at the last island and that there are stories about it. He says that once he has achieved this, he will have the greatest pirate crew in the world. And after that, “And then I’ll be…”, which indicates he views the stories of the treasure on Laugh Tale to somehow enable his dream. Whether it is through having an extremely capable crew or the treasure itself, it is hard to say.
WB’s reaction: Frustrated and annoyed by Roger being completely ridiculous.
Oden’s reaction: Awestruck, blown away by the dream. He believes Roger truly intends to do this.
WB’s follow up: Much like Sabo, begins to reject the notion that this is a realistic dream and implies it is a childish dream. Makes sense, since Luffy had the same dream as a child.
Oden: Still completely mind-blown. While Roger and WB are laughing, Oden is totally frozen by what he just heard. He is not disregarding the possibility that Roger is serious like WB is. Oden, perhaps one of the most “act first and ask questions later” characters we have encountered, is basically just sitting there in shock. Oden and Ace both remain concerned and shocked, but Oden is frozen in disbelief. I choose to believe Oden has some level of perspective regarding this dream. Perhaps something regarding Wano’s history, legends, or something else that Oden had existing knowledge of. This is less of a given, but I really do think “Who was this man?” indicates this dream made Roger even more mysterious/intriguing to Oden.
Luffy tells the crew in 1060:
(Note the sunny pointing upwards here)
“I want to be” and “I wanna” are not particularly different and I don’t think there is any additional information we can infer from this.
The crew’s reactions:
Jinbe, Zoro, and Nami express serious concern, as if it is clearly very dangerous.
Usopp seems downright bothered by it, perhaps even angry, as if it is simply too dangerous to be reasonable.
Brook, Sanji, and Franky are laughing, which implies it is perhaps an achievement most people wouldn't even imagine.
Franky's reaction in particular is interesting because in the past he has been extremely enthusiastic about going on dangerous adventures with the Sunny. Franky’s dream is to create a ship that can endure even the most insane of adventures. Franky’s dream can be summarized as to build a ship which can ensure safe passage for a crew to go anywhere and do anything. His reaction implies it is some kind of grand journey requiring very difficult/dangerous travel.
Chopper has a very curious/excited perspective, which is interesting because in the past, he had been much more of a coward, generally agreeing with Usopp/Nami about something being scary. But in Wano, Chopper has been significantly more courageous. So I don't think his reaction necessarily implies it is something safe. Rather, I think it highlights the dream has juvenile qualities to it, which resonate with Chopper. It is also worth noting that Chopper has reacted this way to certain ideas of Luffy, then he thinks about it for a second, and then realizes it is dangerous. Then he has the same general reaction as Nami/Usopp to a given dangerous situation.
Robin's reaction implies she is very surprised and perhaps knows something relating to the dream he described that makes it particularly interesting. In the past when Robin has reacted like this, it has had something to do with history or legends of some sort. She reacted similarly to news of Pluton in Wano. She tends to not feel compelled to share her perspective/knowledge on subjects relating to her research. But I do think the “...” indicates some level of perspective, very similar to Oden’s reaction. So I do think this dream ends up relating to history or legends that Robin is aware of.
Sunny's reaction is important too. Sunny's reaction implies it will be difficult for Sunny. This is consistent with Franky's reaction. I see Sunny’s reaction as “Excuse me, we are going WHERE?”
Usopp: It can’t happen. It is not possible, while still very concerned.
Robin: Completely undisturbed, just curious about Luffy. This doesn’t tell us much other than she is curious how Shanks, Sabo and Ace reacted. She may have used this as a sneaky way of trying to determine Shanks’s knowledge of whatever topic she is reminded of by Luffy’s dream.
Shanks: Laughs and gets tears in his eyes. We know he sees Luffy as remarkably similar to Roger, and he likely knew of Roger’s dream. I think it's possible he asked Shanks to achieve his dream on his behalf, and that is why he gave Shanks the straw hat. When Shanks learned of Luffy’s dream, before departing, he gave Luffy the straw hat because Luffy was the better person to achieve the dream because it was a dream he held naturally on his own.
Jinbe: Believes Luffy is genuine, isn’t entirely sure what to make of it, and accepts that this is going to be something they’ll be attempting.
Chopper: Still totally inspired/ecstatic by the dream.
Nami: Views the dream as amazingly ambitious, wild, and the sort of thing other people would simply not hope to achieve.
Franky: Believes this will require being king of the pirates to achieve.
Conclusions:
Franky and Sunny: It involves travel which is clearly dangerous and without a known mechanism of accomplishing.
WB, Sabo, Brook, Sanji, and Usopp: It is likely not possible. Not from a difficulty perspective, but just straight up “yeah but that’s not actually possible”.
Jinbe, Zoro, Nami, Robin and Oden: Luffy and Roger are genuine in saying this is their dream. It is possible. Or at least they believe Roger and Luffy will make a genuine attempt to accomplish the dream.
Chopper: I think his reaction is intended to be a clue because he sustains his reaction long past the initial reaction. He fully agrees it is wonderful and it resonates with him more than anyone else.
Prediction: Luffy’s dream is to travel to the sun. It has perfect alignment with Franky, Sunny, and Chopper’s reaction. Chopper dreamed of curing Drum Island of “sickness of the heart”, which (if I remember correctly) is related to the fact that Drum Island is a cold, dreary, not particularly sunny place. The idea of the cherry blossom device is to bring radiance/warmth to the island. The sun likely ended up being a highly desirable concept to Chopper. In the absence of sunlight, you try to find other ways to find happiness on Drum Island. But if Drum Island were simply a really sunny place, the problem wouldn’t exist.
Since space travel is completely unknown to the crew, traveling to the sun being viewed as impossible is reasonable. Yes, they traveled to the white sea, but the sun is many orders of magnitude further, to the point of simply being background scenery. I think the idea of reaching the sun isn’t even considered real. The sun exists somewhere out there, and that’s all there is to it. You can’t just go to it.
Jinbe, Zoro, and Nami generally immediately put their faith in Luffy and see it as simple as “If Luffy intends to do it, that is what we are doing” and have a somewhat blind faith in Luffy. Nami being enamored with the idea of Luffy wanting to travel to the sun and saying it is in line with what she would expect from him also makes sense. Oden and Robin both having knowledge of history/legends/etc, the prominence of sun/celestial imagery, and Sun God Nika as a whole make the sun feel like a good topic to relate to Luffy’s dream. And while I am by no means saying this theory is rock solid and conclusively true, it is what feels most likely.
Really well said
Eiichiro Oda has given some hints about Luffy's true dream and the overall message of One Piece in various interviews and in the story itself. Here are a few examples:
In an interview with the Japanese magazine Da Vinci, Oda stated that the underlying theme of One Piece is "freedom." He stated that the world of One Piece is full of various forms of oppression and that the ultimate goal of Luffy and his crew is to "overcome those hardships and achieve true freedom." This has led some fans to speculate that Luffy's true dream may be related to achieving freedom and equality for all people, regardless of race or social status.
Oda has also stated that he wanted Luffy's dream to be "grand" and "ambiguous" and that the true meaning of his dream may not become clear until the end of the series. This has led some fans to speculate that Luffy's true dream may be related to some overarching goal that has not yet been revealed, such as finding a way to unite the different races and cultures in the world of One Piece or to create a world without conflict.
In the story itself, Luffy often expresses a desire for adventure and exploration and a strong sense of justice and compassion for others. He frequently helps people in need and stands up against oppressors and tyrants. These actions suggest that Luffy's true dream may be related to creating a better world for all people and eliminating the injustices that exist in the world of One Piece.
Thanks, that's good info. Like I described above, I don't think these heroic dreams make sense in the context of what Luffy has directly said and done. A hero's dream for someone who goes out of their way to not be a hero does not make sense to me. I think it is possible these things will happen incidentally as a result of his dream, but I don't think the dream is focused on acts of heroism
Personally, I don't feel that it would make any sense for Luffy to want to be Pirate King to be able to travel to the Sun. There is no reason why he would need to become Pirate King for that.
Also Luffy probably would have brought his dream up earlier to Franky, given that he would be under the assumption that he needs a most amazing ship that can some day reach the stars. It feels to me that he does care about his ships, sure, but it doesn't feel to me that he's constantly trying to make them perfect like you'd expect if he were trying to achieve space travel some day.
I don’t think we have any reason to assume Luffy is seeking the pirate king title and/or one piece for the sake of his dream. Rather, it appears people are saying being pirate king will likely make his dream more easy. Luffy doesn’t seem to be focused on achieving his dream first and simply using the one piece as a stepping stone.
I also think reaching the sun does not necessarily even involve a ship, since it is unclear how a ship like the sunny would ever even be capable of it. I think Luffy intends to do it someday but doesn’t necessarily have any plan in his head yet. Historically Luffy remains very focused on his immediate objective and figure out other stuff after, so I think we have a lot of reasons to assume he isn’t also laying the groundwork for his dream along the way
this talk about going to the sun/the heavens/etc also calls to mind some of the geographic properties of the one piece world itself, most notably how it is never night time on enies lobby (direct quote from the wiki). there's a nonzero chance that more so than simply being celestial bodies of some sort, there are a group of people (read: world government) that have some sort of direct influence/control over heavenly objects like the sun, moon, and planets. this is also pure conjecture, mostly supported by a) your theory, b) the recently-revealed name of one (or potentially more) of the gorosei, named after saturn, and c) the naming conventions of the ancient weapons after some of the other planets
i really liked the idea but my problem is why would luffy go to the sun when he didn't even go to every island? even after going to laugh tale, there are still many island. if laugh tale would be the only island left for luffy to reach then it would make sense that luffy travelled on every island on the earth so now its time to go out of earth. also why are you targeting sun? why not other celestian bodies like the moon?
I think the sun is a prominent part of everyone's life, just like the moon, but the sun is more widely viewed as a positive provider. I think it is reasonable for someone to feel compelled to go to the thing associated with warm daytime rather than cold nighttime. Aside from that, my points regarding "sun god", and Chopper's dream regarding Drum Island end up as somewhat supporting evidence surrounding the theme of the sun. In addition, there are things like "the new dawn" and similar things. I think the sun and related ideas are a prevalent theme.
And I don't think someone needs to go to every island in order to feel compelled to go beyond. I think a lot of people would love to travel to space even if they haven't been to every country, in real life. Sometimes grand dreams start out as dreams purely because of how grand they are. And the sun is of course prevalent.
And as @cold thistle pointed out, permanent daytime at Enies Lobby points to some sort of strangeness regarding sunlight as a whole. Since it is day/night other places on the planet, but always sunny on enies lobby, it appears there may even be some sort of artificial sun which rotates with the planet. And also as Snod pointed out, a Gorosei having the name of Saturn sure does make it sound like there is some grand dynamic involving celestial objects at play. And the sun could be a central (pun intended) role in that.
This is a long way of saying there is a lot more evidence for sun than moon. And we already saw people travel to the moon, so if Luffy's dream was to do something Enel did in a cover story, I think it would be a lot less remarkable.
Luffy doesn't actually say "I want to be", that was probably overzealous translation thinking the line was about being the Pirate King
What is the literal translation?
Well umm it's the start of a sentence but the verb would be at the end, so as far as I know it would just be "I..."
Got it, ok, so not super big difference, but yeah. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my theory as a whole
I think it's very good for fitting to the various reactions, and it's the right amount of ridiculous and grandiose.
My doubts would be related to the connection between the dream and being the Pirate King. I don't see how becoming the Pirate King can make this travel to the Sun any easier, and why Luffy would think that it should. I also can't imagine why Roger would declare this as something he will accomplish after he completes his voyage, when he knew that he was going to die very soon (and disband his crew even sooner)
Thank you. I think it will be very difficult to point to any specific dream that is helped by being "pirate king", since all we really know about that is that you have the whole world at your fingertips. It seems to imply people understand being pirate king to mean you have reached a point where you can do and have anything you could ever want. And since we know a big fat 0 about what the one piece is other than the WG thinks it would topple their power structure, I think its hard to really draw any conclusions
So I take a conservative approach to labeling being pirate king as meaning you have a great deal of resources, the most you could ever have
So if there is something you want to do, your best chance to do it will always be as pirate king, since it is by definition the most free/capable person. So in that regard, all we really know is that it is something ambitious. So I kinda consider it a dead logic route.
I chose to almost entirely focus on reactions because I think the characters are well built, self-consistent and are the only reliable pieces of information we have.
@modest skiff great work on the theory. I think it really fits, although I am a bit skeptic on how they’re gonna survive on the sun of all places. Nevertheless I really enjoyed reading it
Love your theory
SPOILER TO THOSE WHO HAVE'NT READ THE MANGA
wait it kind of matches up with how he used "Bajrang gun" in the fight against kaido
Yeah, I just want to support you here in saying that the Japanese is quite literally the same, except the one in Goa kingdom is more informal/childlike (due to his age).
I thought at this point in the story we would've seen a spelled out reason why Blackbeard having the shockwave fruit is special other than being strong. My guess has always been he'll use it to crush some piece of land like the red line cross sections or he'll use it to attack some important land like Mary Geoise, marine hq, or something
dont worry, this channel is for people that are caught up with the manga
I did not notice that name, since i was not aware of that name, after searching for it, the theory of luffy characterised from hanuman, looks like the theory was already said and i didn't know about it. 🤦🏻♂️
Looks like this is why i have to be updated on theories and not just only reading them. 😅
Big Mom will be revived in the future.
Basically Big Mom created a back-up plan in case she died. Since Big Mom ate the Soul-Soul fruit, which is a devil fruit ability that lets you put your soul on objects, even if her body dies, her soul won't pass on because it was imbued into an object. It's like Zeus. Zeus didn't disappear because he was inside Nami's clima tact. Big Mom DID die during that volcano eruption, but her kids probably found her body laying somewhere near there. So her kids will somehow transfer the fragments of her soul into her dead body. Those black blobs that were taking people's souls on Whole Cake Island are probably the ones that will take the fragments and put it in her body, or they could be the soul fragments themselves. Probably it will only amount to a certain few years, maybe 5 years of total lifespan. But that's enough time to compete for the One Piece. She may appear in the final war. Oda did say it would be a free-for-all battle royale. Big Mom also said that Kid and Law wouldnt be enough to kill her, and pudding also had some dialogue about that somewhere
Decent theory but you should probably remove the part about Harry Potter cuz spoilers for other series isn’t allowed
I think this is a very solid analysis in general but I still think the sun is a crazy proposition for one major reason. I think it's safe to assume that this dream will be achieved in the story. I just don't see how this would be played out. Like they'll go to the sun and vaporize? Somehow avoid that and just go back once they reach it? I'm sure there's a way of making it poetic and nice but still feels odd. Maybe something like the moon would make more sense as it's also a relatively crazy idea for the OP world but could somehow fit the narrative better. If I can use your analysis of Robin's reaction. Would she really think going to the sun is that significant? I find it hard to believe so. But the moon we know holds some mysteries (via the cover stories) so Robin's intrigue would make sense. To be completely honest I'm not the biggest fan of either of these, in fact the sun sounds better but as per the reasons above I struggle to see how Oda would lay it out.
oh my bad lmao I came up with this theory because I was thinking of that one part in Harry Potter
and I thought, hmm maybe big mom could do this?
ROCKS D XEBEC THEORY TIME BB
Ok so i saw this theory about why blackbeard is kidnapping people
he kidnaps koby to lure garp
pudding removes the god valley memories
he finds xebecs body
he removes garps shadow and puts it into xebec
Evolution vs Cloning a new emerging conflict:
Now that clones have been introduced in the story, it is most likely that Oda will begin to address the benefits of natural reproduction vs artificial breeding and also represent evolution as a strength of nature vs rigid copy with technology. Thus, at the end of the victory over the idea of seraphim can be explained.
There is a reason why gold Roger, Big Mom and Kaido decided to get a natural child instead of cloning themselves even though they all have heard about the story of Stussies Clone, their ex crew mate /rival ...
Then someone have to repeat the history of devouring the fruit user as whole to obtain it.
If the other members of MADS are anything to go by, then Vegapunk used to be fucked up in the past, and the backstory isn't saying anything different either;
Could this hint at another satellite body that is a concentration of his really "evil" personality? This could explain the difference in who he was and who he is now
if black beard can take devil fruit powers, could luffy give devil fruit powers since the source of his power is imagination and devil fruits are born from the power of imagination
These are valid concerns and I will be addressing them in my next theory which ties into this dilemma.
The main reason I am dismissing the moon is that Enel already got there and plenty of factions seem to have no issue doing the same. The WG is aware of space creatures, other pirates mining the moon when Enel showed up. It is hard to imagine the dream of Roger and Luffy being something that other factions have been doing for a while now.
To elaborate on Robin's reaction, perhaps just like how she knew about Pluton being in Wano, perhaps she has read about indications that there is something on the sun. Perhaps something is described as being from the sun, such as Lunarians. Pure BS speculation, but I am just saying I think it is possible the sun has been described as significant in some way in her research.
fair enough, that is certainly a possibility. I wonder, if that is the case how it will end up being "rationalised" if I can call anything as being rational in OP
yeah fair
Anything that people can imagine is a possibility in reality.
We have no idea what ancient technology is capable of, we also have Devil Fruits that regularly defy logic. I don't think we can dismiss anything on account of it being impossible, especially for Luffy's dream which is a one-time thing, for the very end of the story, and that is supposed to be impossible even by One Piece standards.
I agree but I also believe it should have some sort of significance in the story and not be just a one off thing
The CP0 (most definitely Kaku and Lucci) are brainwashed. No I will not elaborate here. Maybe soon though for the next chap.
this is true i know it
There’s a crack theory out that states that big news Morgans is actually one of the kings from the Reverie
A Seventh Satellite?
We know there is a traitor amongst the group now. According to Shaka, that traitor has to AT LEAST have Vegapunk status to control the seraphim to attack . The only ones who are currently able to give such orders are the Satellites and the Stella. The gorosei are not on the island yet, and the Stella is a toddler and is occupied with Bonney. The traitor is narrowed down to be a Satellite. Unless something happened off screen, I don’t think it’s one of the satellites we know because all six of them are currently with a straw hat. So instead, what if there was a secret satellite that went rogue long before we stepped onto egghead? That’s why Pythagoras told York they made a grave miscalculation: they failed to properly dispose of the rogue satellite.
I think this satellite may have been the predecessor of Lilith. She is the satellite that embodies Vegapunk’s “evil” side. And she seems relatively new, as she did not know about the Strawhat Pirates. I believe Lilith’s predecessor was actually evil, so they had to dispose them. They then recreated the evil satellite but tweaked it to be more caring. This is Lilith.
Of course, I could be completely wrong but it’s still an interesting idea to me. I like the direction Oda is taking this.
Could be Shaka himself as the traitor. Trying to big brain his way around as a double agent. Ussop was looking at his computer screen pretty funny
Maybe but he seems genuinely confused about what’s happening and he’s done a lot of self determinant imo if he is. Also Stella can read his thoughts I think
@inland oracle @ionic nexus its fan fiction. These things aren't written yet. But for the future, since this fan fiction is claimed to be some kinda leak, despite that not being possible, we don't allow it. We don't allow any spoiler, whether real or fake, outside of the spoiler channel
And for the traitor i think its edison, like the real edison betrayed nikola tesla by stealing his idea.
Good thinking
Toss up between Shaka and Edison for me
Very well thought out. I havent considered the possibility of Lilith having a predecessor, but the fact she is ignorant of the outside world makes alot of sense
Although only thing that throws out the theory somewhat is none of the Satellites have mentioned or acknowledged that fact. If Lilith had a predecessor, I would imagine Shaka or another satellite making a mention towards them like "It couldn't be... her?" Or something along those lines
I don't think we have enough to establish there is indeed a traitor, but if there was one, Shaka appears to be the most likely, simply from a design perspective, and because I think it is possible the good side of VP has concluded the sacrifices/damage caused by their scientific research is too much. This idea was touched on briefly when Vegapunk pointed out that scientific progress sometimes requires morally questionable actions.
But as it currently stands, I don't think we have enough reason to assume a traitor
Who or what do you think it is? I don’t really see anyone else being able to do it because it would have to be someone who knows the layout of punk records and how to hack the systems. They’d also need to be able to control the seraphim to same extent as Vegapunk.
True. Pythagoras is my only real evidence of Lilith’s predecessor. Maybe we’ll see more next chapter.
Shiryu is the only prediction I have liked so far, other than someone we haven't seen/met yet. But if I had to guess, I would say Shaka is the most likely. Followed by "someone we don't know of yet", followed by Shiryu.
I hope it isn’t Shaka. I kinda like him and his design is cool.
Isn’t Edison more plausible given he is the “traitor” to Tesla aka Stella aka Vegapunk? While all of it seems very Knives Onion, I think the answer might in the names
I wouldn't say Edison was a Tesla traitor. He was just a shitter. I'm not convinced the answer is in the names. Zeus is always the example I point to for why we shouldn't take names too seriously. Since VP has already expressed ethically questionable views, the component of himself who is purely good makes the most sense to be the traitor to me. But who knows.
Yeah Daft Punk is def sus lol no Shakka is a very favorable candidate. I don’t remember if we’ve had a whodunnit before ala Detective Conan but it will make for interesting dynamics given we have high IQ bad guys vs well SHs lol
you think that there might not be a traitor, and the seraphim have just developed autonomy of their own slowly? cuz i feel like that should happen to the pacifistas one day due to freedom being a major theme of the story
I don’t think the seraphim or pacifistas will ever become sentient
They already are?
Don’t the seraphim not just behave based on the orders their given? They don’t have any free will in deciding if they should or shouldn’t execute their orders outside of the authority chip hierarchy.
I only thought It was voice activated by program to specific voices
Also does anyone touch base with theories on what happened in reverie
My favourite one has to be big new Morgans being one of the kings that attended
If it was Shaka why didn't s-bear and S-hawk listen to his command, you think that if Shaka was the traitor they would listen to him since he was the one who gave the command, I too used to think Shaka was the traitor but because of this made me think otherwise
Im leaning toward edison tbh. Only one who did not actively try to issue and order to the seraphim this chapter.
Lilith and Shaka are ruled out atm since the Seraphim did not obey them.
This arc is clearly an amongst us arc and the traitor is with them.
If its not a satellite it is Vegapunk who went rogue with a personality disorder (Dr Jekyll and Mister Hide )
its more of malfunctioning or like phytagoras said miscalculated about something and i guess its seraphim.
We know based on VP, Seraphim only can take orders based on highest authority which should present at the moment. There might be a chance that Seraphim growing up more like human to remember the voices of their lord (highest authority).
We have seen that Marines/Saturn itself repeatedly contacting Sentomaru or other related Marines/Staff CP. While its connected, Saturn order seraphim to kill anyone on Labophase.
They aren't targeting strawhats. Cp0 is the target.
Luffy and zoro will not team up with cp0 currently
But it will happen when situation get more desperate
but its not possible. That's why Saturn had to move, they can't issue order through den den mushi. Pythagoras said that he saw something he couldn't believe. That's probably Edison giving order to the seraphim to shoot Pythagoras. Edison is the last one to have given order to the Seraphim as per York last statement
York is referring to the order to "Cease the fight" in 1073. There's nothing special about Edison's order.
If we assume that there was a time window in which one of the Satellites got to give an order to the Seraphim with no witnesses, that could have been any of them.
What Pythagoras "saw" is that a Seraphim attacked him even though that should have been impossible. Hence the talk of "miscalculations" (either he thinks there's a mistake in the programming, or that they didn't account for all scenarios for the escape plan)
The clinking noise behind Pythagoras in 1074 was S-Snake's DOM shoes
Can those miscalculations refer to Seraphim having their own free will or have they been ordered by their masters(aka gorosei) to kill everyone?
Maybe
I like the idea of Seraphim free will and I can't imagine Oda not addressing the topic of free will when the story is all about freedom.
But it feels a little early for that to me

The Moon Is Uranus
I’d like to shout out a friend of mine, who first had an extremely vague version of this theory when he read the Enel cover story. He had essentially 0 evidence, but I thought the theory was cool and I was just happy he was theorizing. It is funny that this casual theory he put in my head when he was barely starting the series ended up being my genuine prediction. Shoutout to him. He gets partial credit here. Also big thank you to @steady prism , @proper moat , @slim mountain @candid stratus , @cold thistle , @cunning dragon and many others who I have discussed these ideas with. Your perspectives are the reason I was able to come up with this. Thank you!
Core assumptions of this theory:
-
Imu rules over the Gorosei through fear rather than admiration. It is not that the Gorosei see Imu as a fantastic person who is clearly the best person to rule the world. Imu is feared. They sit on a throne that is supposed to be empty. They rule absolutely, which is against a lot of what the WG is supposed to stand for. The Gorosei’s body language and general way of interacting with Imu indicate fear rather than reverence.
-
It isn’t possible for Imu to be powerful enough to rule over the entire planet through individual force. As has been discussed regarding the navy/yonko dynamic, the world is simply too big and there are too many people within it for even a really strong force to ever retain complete control over the whole thing and keep it just by having insane haki or something. I am dismissing the possibility that Imu is so strong that they as an individual could solo the planet.
-
The Gorosei have too wide an empire and too many resources to have no way to kill Imu if they wanted. Related to (2). Even if we assume Imu has the eternal youth surgery (which I do think is a fair assumption), it does not mean they can’t be killed. It just means they won’t die of age.
-
Imu directs the Gorosei which island should be destroyed or who should be extinguished. This shows Imu is not the one who is directly controlling whatever destroyed Lulusia. And even if they were, it would still not be a sufficient strength to rule the world. It appears this weapon can’t just zip around the planet and blow up a bunch of islands quickly. Regardless, Imu is heavily implied to not even be the one controlling the Lulusia buster but rather calling the shots as to what to do with whatever the Lulusia buster is.
If you disagree with any of these assumptions, this theory will likely not convince you, but I do think these are fairly safe/logical assumptions.
I will now establish why Imu’s grip on the planet relates to the sea level of the planet:
- The vast majority of factions/nations the WG fails to control/subjugate are water-independent in some way.
1A) Wano is really high up and was specifically constructed to be a fortress. Pluton is stored there. The Kozuki know how to read glyphs. Wano made the glyphs. Wano’s component islands within Wano are man-made and have weather patterns distinct from one another. This fact is established when showing old Wano. Wano strongly appears to be intended as a fortress capable of withstanding anything anyone could throw at it.
Wano had an extremely tall stone wall built around it, presumably using Pluton.
1B) Zunesha, protecting Zou is taller than the red line (Zunesha is 35 km, red line is 10 km)
1C) Elbaf appears to be built on an incredibly tall tree. We see this during the BM flashback. Rather than going sideways, I think Elbaf is a kingdom which extends up into the white sea.
1D) The entire white sea operates independently of the WG despite the fact that the navy could reach the white sea if they needed to.
Conclusion from (1): The WG does not have control over nations which are water-independent.
-
Noah: I think Noah is not built for giants and also not built for fishmen. Fishmen can swim faster than any boat and essentially do not benefit from a boat the size of Noah. Camie freely visits Sabaody as she pleases, even if only viewing from afar. But point being, the 10 km from FMI to Sabaody is not an issue. There’s no reason for Noah to be intended for FMI. The windows in Noah indicate it has many floors within it, so it is intended for smaller humanoids. So that means it is meant for an insane number of inhabitants. Noah is really, really, really huge.
-
The navy being utterly subservient to the CDs doesn't make sense. Preserving the world government is important, but the CDs don't contribute anything and basically just live as murderous, slave keeping rapists above everyone else, causing nothing but harm. They drain enormous amounts of money from every WG nation (Sphinx couldn’t pay this tax and is the reason they were abandoned and looted) every year and they use it to buy slaves. Even members of the Reverie are deeply scared of the CDs. They plunder and don't add anything. They coast on fear exclusively.
-
Akainu and other high ranking navy personnel despise the CDs. I really just don't buy the idea of authority and hierarchy and whatnot being why they serve. They are clearly such an insane level of bad and operate outside of all laws. This indicates the navy as a whole defends the CDs for reasons other than admiration/hierarchy. I think that somewhere along the way in the void century, or the events that took place after, it became known there is some kind of doomsday switch and the CDs currently control it. We have seen some navy personnel, such as Green Bull, who totally drank the koolaid and they worship the CDs as gods. But we know Akainu and Garp are not among them. There are numerous indications the navy begrudgingly follow the CDs. I think all of this indicates the navy is under the belief that the CDs have a mechanism of forcing their grip on the world and that the navy believes the CDs have some sort of power which forces the navy to be subservient.
Long Ring Long Land’s significance:
-
According to Tonjit, the reason all the animals grow so long is because they are able to live freely without feeling any restraint (mentally and physically) on the great wide plains of this island. Zunesha comes to mind.
-
Every year, the tide receding to reveal the land-bridge linking the island together every year is responsible for creating Water 7's annual Aqua Laguna tidal wave, due to the massive displacement of water. The fact that this happens annually is very interesting, since a year on earth is measured as the time for the earth to orbit the sun. What if a year on the one piece planet is for something else rotating around the planet?
This is an extremely significant amount of depth change. And interestingly, tides vary as a function on time on earth too.
If the moon’s rotation around the planet is a measure of a year, and the above dynamic applies to the one piece world as well, I think we have reason to believe the moon’s orbit is responsible for Aqua Laguna.
2 major unanswered questions regarding weather in One Piece:
- Why is it always sunny at Enies Lobby? It is not sunny in the immediate vicinity, so the planet’s tilt and rotation making enies lobby always having sunlight doesn’t make sense. It is extremely confined to Enies Lobby
- Why is the grand line such a complete mess? Crazy weather differences, magnetic fields, etc
I think it's possible both of these questions can be answered by: the moon.
The Moon is Uranus
It appears the moon was naturally made, but I also think it is possible it was not. Regardless, I do think the extremely elaborate electrical infrastructure throughout the moon indicates it has at the very least been technologically augmented.
Since the moon IRL is responsible for a lot of weather dynamics on earth, such as wind, the idea of the moon being a device which controls or augments weather on the planet fits well.
I will quickly state a component of my theory regarding the void century. None of the ancient weapons were strictly weapons. They were incredibly powerful, but not specifically a weapon. Uranus was previously used to help turn bad weather into good weather for countries like Alabasta. Too cold? Uranus. Too hot? Uranus. I think Uranus can change weather in specific areas. I will not propose a mechanism for this, since meat heals wounds and milk heals bones in One Piece. But I think that is what Uranus can do.
Somewhere along the way, during the void century, there was some sort of massive struggle for control of Uranus and the other “weapons”. Uranus came hurling towards the planet, perhaps while under attack, and started going bananas while approaching earth. During this long war, Uranus carved a ring out of the planet as it orbited, creating the grand line. Since Uranus is able to change weather, but was either damaged or something else during this war, it was indiscriminately changing the weather in random ways during the void century as it orbited the planet. It is possible the reason the “New World” has significantly more volatile weather than “Paradise” is that Uranus was closer to the planet during that part of its rotation.
Somehow, some way, Imu got control of Uranus, and was able to keep it afloat above the planet. If Imu were to die, Uranus would continue towards the planet, the planet would be mostly destroyed just from Uranus approaching, then once Uranus crashed, all life on the planet would be destroyed. This is why the Gorosei can’t do anything to Imu. This power is believed to be held by the CDs, so that is why the navy and the other nations on the planet bow to them. They “saved the world” from the moon crashing, crowned themselves gods, and ruled ever since. It isn’t even an option to kill the CDs, since as far as the world knows, they are the ones keeping the moon from crashing into the planet. So much time has passed, and so much information has been destroyed, it may be as simple as the WG nations “know the CDs are immensely powerful and saved the world from destruction”. The Gorosei know Imu is the one doing this. If they were to ever kill Imu, the planet would be destroyed.
Even without this doomsday scenario, if Imu is able to control the position of the moon relative to the planet, that means Imu is able to control the sea level of the planet. This means it is possible to flood the planet such that the only people who survive are the ones who are not vulnerable to sea level. This contextualizes the fact that rogue nations from the void century all have a form of protection against sea level rise. It explains why the white sea is entirely independent. They are not vulnerable to the ultimate power of the WG/CDs/Imu: Control of the sea level.
Noah and other arrangements have been made so that when the time comes, and the final war takes place, Imu is not able to exterminate all life below the red line by flooding the planet by adjusting the location of the moon. I describe this in further detail in my void century theory, where I describe how Mt Fuji and Poseidon fit into this: #manga-theories message
I enjoyed reading this theory and thank you for the shoutout 🙂 Regarding Enies Lobby, are you thinking that the moon just has the ability to effect the sun? I'm not sure what you are getting at in regards to the moon being the reason for it.
I’m saying I think, through some mechanism, Uranus is able to just paste weather in a certain location. And this ability breaking or running wild is why the grand like is a complete mess
Ah, I had a typo that made it seem like I thought Uranus made the red line, but I meant grand line. Fixed it now
This is sooo epic
You do gotta pin this
Oh so it's like a godly ability. That's really interesting and isn't actually that crazy when you consider other weather related things in One Piece. Nami has shown some incredible weather manipulation, and similarly Big Mom/Carmel have shown to basically make their own suns. It's certainly not too unthinkable but... I still don't quite understand how it can physically never be night in one place but be normal right next to it. It goes a bit beyond the weather but maybe it can be related.
Yeah, there’s enough wild stuff that I am basically just saying “I don’t know how” and I think it’s fine, since what exactly is VOAT, or devil fruits, etc, I just think the granular nature of weather on the planet as a whole indicates there is no gradient or transition but rather specifically placed weather. And in the case of the grand line, in a seemingly random and chaotic way. So when you combine the circular nature of the grand line with the circular line nature of the moon’s orbit, and everything else I mentioned, that’s how I reached my conclusion
I think it is smart and you are onto something. 😮
In chapter 1044 to 1045 (gear 5 awakening), Luffy mentioned a few times that he was sure he was dead. What if the straw hat that Shanks gave luffy was actually an anchor. What if the reason why Luffy is still alive is because he has the straw hat? What if that's the reason Shanks calls Luffy 'anchor' is because he wore a straw hat (hence an anchor to reality)? Since Roger accepted his death, he gave his straw hat to Shanks and didn't survive the execution. Since Shanks gave his hat to Luffy, he had his arm off. What if Luffy will pass on the straw hat to a new generation in the future before his death?
This doesn't make any sense; Shanks calls Luffy an anchor in chapter 1 because he can't swim, and this is before Luffy eats the devil fruit and Shanks decides to give the straw hat to him.
funny how he says this when all the yonkos has a DF and other strong pirates
tbh i wont take what shanks said seriously
Given the lack of devil fruits in the Red Hair Pirate crew, it's plausible that Shanks might look down on having a devil fruit as a pirate, philosophically at least
Point 4 is great, people always portray Sakazuki and Sengoku as government dogs when they actually hate the celestials
You touch on several interesting points. I don't know if they all connect, but there's something here. What came to mind reading it:
I think what erased Lulusia was "parked" above Ennies Lobby, and Ennies Lobby probably did get "Lulusia'd" in the past.
I also think a Buster Call was designed to emulate Imu's erasure, maybe so the Death Star weapon isn't found out about, or some other technical limitation of the artificial sun.
I feel like people might have already made this theory but I think that the 2 year time skip in the manga might have been more of a brutal thing. Like Luffy was training with Rayleigh so Luffy might have almost died many times. I say this because right before the time skip Rayleigh says that all the animals are stronger then all the previous opponents Luffy had fought. That means the animals there are like 50 times stronger then Arlong or 10 times stronger then Kuma. This would mean for the 6 months Luffy was on his own in the 2 years, he had haki but it would not be easy fighting or taming something 10 times stronger then a warlord. I know this is very stupid but I just got to fishman island in the manga so. It is just something I thought I wanted to share as a theory.
Luffy probably couldn’t swim in the first place.
Since we are told “people who wear straw hats are dauntless” by Rayleigh, and monkeys are seen wearing straw hats in the ancient ruins in skypiea, it appears more likely the straw hat is symbolic of a fiercely freedom seeking ideology. Also, Roger tells Rayleigh he won’t die at his execution
The silliest possibility regarding the Strawhat is that it is needed to "unlock" or operate AK machinery, which is why Imu has one (on a freezer?), and Roger pirates both laughed and "were too soon" in Laugh Tale. If only they had waited for Buggy to recover so Shanks could bring the hat where it was needed...
wait when did ray say that?
When he was talking with shanks, IIRC
I don't recall that
I tried to find it, but couldn’t. I honestly don’t remember if it was the sabaody flashback wher he saw shanks or if it was when he met Luffy. But I thought it was interesting due to dauntless starting with a D. But in the Japanese manga, Mip looked up the specific panel and they don’t use the word dauntless. But Rayleigh says something equivalent to that. It’s just that it’s not exactly dauntless in Japanese
My theory for how Blackbeard got multiple devil fruits is that Devil Fruits (when eaten) are connected with the heart of the user. So, if a normal person eats a second Devil Fruit, their heart can't take it and they die. Now, Blackbeard might belong to some unknown tribe that has more than one heart. Think about it: There are already tribes of people with three eyes, long arms, animal people, giants, etc. It wouldn't be too weird to maybe have an ancient race of humans with 3 hearts that have been hunted down and eradicated during the void century and Blackbeard is the only descendant.
Now why do I believe Devil Fruits are connected to the heart of their user:
- Blackbeard threw a curtain over Whitebeard and did something while being unseen. I think he ate Whitebeards heart to gain his power. The curtain was used to hide this gruesome act from the world (and obviously the reader to have some big reveal later on)
- Big Mom ate Mother Caramel who had the Power of the Soul Fruit and gained its Power afterwards. Eat a person = eating their heart.
- Burgess tried to attack and steal the powers of Luffy and Sabo on Dressrosa with a knife which doesnt really fit his fighting style. My guess is, he wanted to use the knife to cut out their hearts.
- This one is a more wild guess: Devil fruits being connected to the heart would explain the effects on sea water on the physical strength of the user. Contact to sea water or sea stone slows down the heart rate significantly and therefore makes them weak.
sounds good, and I thought about the bb heart thing alot since that time luffy and zoro said he was more than one person
i think the helmet guy's hypothesis is wrong and there is no traitor amongst vegapunk its more likely that gorosei and kizaru already came and are doing this. Now think about this gorosei had highest power against seraphim so its possible that he said to not obey vegapunk and kill him and as for why he cant be seen is because of kizaru that guy can control light so maybe he can manipulate what others see and so he can basically cast a genjutsu on everybody without them even realising it (like shusui)
Nobody was 10 times stronger than Kuma, what Rayleigh says is that there are 500 animals that are stronger than Luffy
And even if he did say that, it'd be too literal of an interpretation; even ignoring Kuma, Luffy had tried to fight against admirals and the like by that point too and a random animal simply is not warlord/admiral level lollll
youll realize later that luffy is still nowhere near being strong in the world
I haven't heard this theory but I'm sure its been mentioned, but I think that Im is from the void century and is hundreds of years old, and had the perennial youth operation done on them with the ope ope no mi. A supporting point that they had the operation is that Doflamingo states he could conqueror the whole world if he combined the treasure of Mary Geoise with the immortality power of the ope ope no mi, and Im is on top of the world government. Additionally, it would make more sense with the theories that Im and Joy Boy are connected, in the sense that they literally knew each other
If you see Artur's (Library of Ohara) latest video, he addresses this: Doflamingo's plan was not the Immortality procedure, it was to switch bodies with Imu. Which is something Law did in Punk Hazard to a bunch of people. Compare also the visual parallel between the Gorosei kneeling for Imu at the empty throne with the Elite Officers kneeling for Doflamingo. I think it's possible that Doflamingo also wanted to take over the Gorosei, which he could if Law was loyal (Diamante, Pica, Vergo, Trebol and Law as gorosei, Doglamingo as Imu). Alas, Law couldn't get with the program and actively fought back, and Doflamingo's reach through the underground had him convinced he'd get his hands on the Ope no mi eventually, so killing Law was easier than trying to gain his confidence after all that had happened. A different villain would have bargained with Law some more since he was the key to the plan, but that'd be something beneath Doflamingo.
So does that imply Doflamingo was lying about his intentions with the ope ope no mi? It seemed he made it very clear he was planning on using the fruit for the immortality procedure
Not necessarily, he mentions both uses in the same sentence.
What I'm not sure of, is whether he wanted to eat the Ope-Ope himself (meaning "that day" was when he was a kid, before he ate the Ito-Ito) or if he wanted someone in his crew to eat it for him and use it on him (either the personality switch or the perennial youth operation)
By the way, note that whatever Doflamingo wanted to do with the Ope-Ope fruit and wasn't able to, Blackbeard is potentially (probably?) on the verge of achieving himself..
It's about where in the conversation you focus on. Depending on the brilliance and complete loyalty of the wielder of the ope ope seems more far fetched than taking over the world... From this chapter on we know that Doflamingo knows of Imu. Before knowing of Imu AND that Doflamingo also knows, the Immortality technique made more sense. Now that we know of Imu, and Lulusia? Not so much...
Interesting takes on the theory. I need some sleep but I’ll definitely research it more. Does anyone know which chapters specifically Doflamingo talks about it?
761 (you can use the wiki to find chapter numbers)

It was a legitimate theory on my end
The sun god fruit being able to cause permanent day make an island holds some ground as a theory
It was a legitimate theory not a question
I understand, but this channel's for in-depth discussion on long theories (like the ones pinned). If you have a good amount of in-story evidence to prove that Enies Lobby was made by the previous awakened user of the Nika df, then please feel free to repost it and explain your reasoning.
But as it stood at that time, your msg didn't have much supporting evidence, which is why you were directed to #manga-serious . Over there you can bring up ideas and have a serious discussion about it to see if it's truly possible or not.
Fair enough sorry for the misunderstanding on my end
No worries mate

Gorosei Theory
Last chapter’s cover story we saw the shadows of the five elders from years ago meeting with Vega punk. They all appear to have the same appearance/age throughout the story almost confirming they all had the ope-ope youth surgery. However, I believe there is a twist to this and it revolves around shanks!
Most likely 800 years ago Imu was the first to use this surgery after winning the war with the ancient kingdom. This was “possibly” done with their 5 generals, the Gorosei. But they are not the same figures that we have now, instead it is their ancient relatives. With the reveal of Saturns name, we can assume the remaining members have an inner planet title. Similar to Poseidon, I believe they are also ancient weapons that pass down the power through their bloodline. But since the ope-ope no mi takes the life of the user upon use of the surgery, it would start the hunt again for the fruit, making a slave eat it and forcing them to learn the fruits powers and use it on the new inherited Gorosei member. This most likely happened throughout the next couple hundred years where one member of these families was gifted the surgery and elevated to a permanent position with the Gorosei.
How this relates to Shanks? There was actually a 6th family that was meant to join the ranks, with the epithet “Moon”. The ceremony was going to take place 38 years ago at the ceremonial island “God’s Valley” Rocks D Xebec caught wind of this and attacked, killing the next Gorosei member. This left only their slaves and remaining family member on the island..Shanks!
Before Xebec could complete his plan, he was defeated by Roger and Garp. But, before he fell, he forced the slave who ate the ope-ope fruit to use the fruit to switch his personality to a random baby also on the island..Blackbeard! It was assumed Rocks died but instead his personality was fused with the baby Blackbeard. This is why the moon makes Blackbeard sad because it reminds Xebec of his failed attempt
@pure raven you done?
Pat 2
This would explain why shanks has a formal relationship with the Gorosei because they know of his rare bloodline and hold onto the hope he will leave his pirate ways behind and join their ranks someday.
Just a theory but let me know what everyone thinks!
Very intriguing and really good but the thing is we know very little about gorosei and rocks and even shanks , so there are many ifs, we can make any theory around them and it can make sense. All I'm saying is we need more evidence for this theory of yours
Agreed. It’s a very early assumption on my part but just spur of the moment typing lol. Has many holes that require oda to address but just something to poke fun with in the meantime
But it's really interesting that God valley incidence happened 38 yrs ago and shanks is 39 yrs old and blackbeard is 40 yrs ago
Definitely has some potential due to the timing and ages of the characters. I still have my own holes in my theory like the three skulls of Blackbeard’s pirate ship. It would explain his and xebecs being but who could be the third ?
Maybe the 3 skulls represents devil fruits, maybe xebec already had 3 devil fruits, make sense since he was so powerful that Roger and garp needed to work together and he is just working his way up again or maybe he already eat a devil fruits that grant it's user to take 2 more fruits

Wasn't shanks found baby in a chest on god Valley by Roger?
Not really, Roger found shanks in a chest but we don't know if that chest was from god valley or from somewhere else
It is strictly forbidden to mention other manga characters here, but thats a good theory
@broken jackal like Kiritard said, we ask that people not bring up other series other than One Piece outside of #other-series so that people aren’t spoiled. Please remove mentions of Naruto from your theory, it doesn’t really need it anyway.
Not sure if theory, but been wondering why would Oden leave Enma to Hyori? Momo would've been a better choice given how crazy that sword is.
But the answer might be what every parent wants for their children and in Hyori's case, the sword was meant to test her partner not her. No one can tame Enma unless they themselves are on Oden's level or stronger- basically someone very strong.
Oden wanted a strong husband for her daughter is what I'm thinking.
Anyway, that was my 2piece on the matter 😅
Me and some people came up with a theory that the reason why Luffy, Kaku and Lucci have those rings around their bodies, is because they're true/proper awakenings.
It's likely that the Impel Down Guard's awakenings, are the results of either experimentation and drug uses to create an awakening, OR because they're not free and are treated like animals, they become docile and domesticated, ceasing them from accessing their true power/proper states.
The reason why Chopper lacks a ring around him also, is because his monster point may also be an awakening, but it's artificial and drug induced
Hey guys. I’m new to the show and I just finished reading. Are there any theories floating around what happened to mother carmel, did linlin eat her to gain her powers?
@pine bison it is always fine to ask for people to refer you to theories in this channel. The command is intended to pertain to people asking questions like “hey what chapter does Ace fight Blackbeard” or other times when people try to use the channel as a search engine. But asking for theory recommendations is an acceptable way to use this channel.
To answer your question, it is common for people to assume BM ate caramel and got her devil fruit that way. I don’t agree and I think it happened differently, but who knows. There aren’t many theories about this topic because there’s just so little info. It all comes down to “is that how she got her power?” Yes/no prediction and that’s all we got.
This man being a possibly zoros dad makes alot of sense
Cause we now yamato was a kid while he was alive so that would be around 20 years ago so he probably could've given zoro to the sword master that left wano and that's how he was in east blue I'm sure this a popular theory I'm just posting more evidence for it cause nothings confirmed till oda says so
Oda confirmed they are not his dad
Oda confirmed that shisuis user isint his dad
“So the answer is that Ushimaru is not Zoro’s father”
Ok
Now that oda actually acknowledged this it makes me sure that Zoro's family reveal is either the bigggest thing ever or not coming at all
Maybe I’m the odd one out, but I don’t really want a zoro family reveal. I kinda want the lesson with zoro to be “even someone from the bottom can make it to the top”
What if the D. Is just Devil Raceor Clan? And the D. Was passed down. And that clan were the ones to make devil fruits. Its basic but I think its the most likely answer to what the D. Means
Eh idk. Devil fruits them selves don’t oppose the wg in any way so I’d find that an odd comparison
Whitebeard is supposed to have realised at marineford, that "when someone with the D is killed, their will is not extinguished, and someone else will inherit their will and carry on their wishes"
That sounds not unlike what we now know about devil fruits from vegapunk
Well toki has the time fruit. We don’t know how old the goresi even are yet
Spoiler all the way up to the end of Marineford Arc ||I feel is kinda obvious how black beard has 2 DF power, like back when he was fighting Ace he said he could take the power of a DF user. And when he was showing off his he sucked up the town and sent it flying, so I think it’s pretty simple. He takes the power of one DF user and gives it to another person, that’s why it’s really powerful||
dont worry, this channel is for people caught up
Oh ok cool

yeah i think the same
also maybe oda would give this power some life form a personification like merry was given klaubatterman all the dfs would have some personalities in them especially the zoan ones
@midnight pendant that discussion was asked to be moved to #manga or #manga-serious . Please continue discussing it there.

Ok my bad
How good was chp 1076? WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH THE CP AGENTS GETTING CAPTURED and the real VEGAPUNK is in there with them?
What poneglyph info did VP have and who betrayed VP by telling the WG about it? Was it Shanks?
my theory is that one of the vegapunks is going rogue
S Flamingo could be the "Traitor"
Here's the elements to this argument
1.) The will/desires/lust/urges of the creature cannot be removed
2.) Seraphim can choose how they execute orders
Our first introduction to Egghead was Lilith introducing this concept to us. With the mechanized Sharks that overstepped their orders to try to eat the straw hats, due to their nature. So the Seraphims also have the potential to override or overextend their orders provided their original natures are vastly different
To kick things off, Out of all the original warlords, DoFlamingo is the one out of all the warlords most opposed to obeying the World Government. Which makes sense as to why he would capture the WG officials. Doffy's whole purpose/dream was to DESTROY EVERYTHING THE CELESTIAL DRAGONS CONTROL
In addition, the Seraphims are left with just enough personality to make decisions as to how to carry out their orders as Shaka says. So in the event that the Seraphims were given a very simple order as "protect the island", this could easily lead to a potential S-Flamingo choosing to capture the CP agents as his method of carrying out the order
Now, I know a lot of this hinges on the existence of a S-Flamingo, however there is a hint of more than the 4 Seraphims that we've seen. here are doors leading up to 6, after S-Shark came out of 4. So the likelihood of a supposed S-Flamingo does exist
And I can't think of anyone else on the island more qualified to get an order out of the Vegapunks than someone with the ito Ito no mi. Remember "Parasite". it's an ability that literally forces the target into committing an action.
in addition, whoever this perpetrator is should have good knowledge of the Egghead facility as they are targetting all the communication centers and the Seraphim are shown to have this knowledge, such as when Seraphim Boa is chosen to guide the SH
I got a lot of this from the Mr. Morj latest theory video.
And it's not completely ironclad
The glaring issue though would be that parasite doesn't really force the target to speak.
And that there's a huge talk of "shadows" destroying the commintcations
S-Bat/S-gecko if enlisted, would be really useful in contributing to these with the kage-kage no mi
THE END
well i think the world government ordered cp(7,8 agents etc..) to spy on vega punk on egghead but we know that egg head is a scientifically advanced island it would make sense to have a high next level(maybe the island can react on its own without any command) defence system . and the cp agents got caught up resulting in them being thrown in a jail or cell kind off and thats what vegapunk wasn't aware of , that there are government prisioner's . but The world government thinks vegapunk knew that they were spying on him thus ordering cpo agents to kill him up .i think this makes sense
this also makes sense why would the world government want to kill vega punk their own big shot
Well, I just read the newest chapter. RIP, Kidd. It was nice getting some screen time and manga time with you.
yeah, and vegapunk would have access to it seeing as how doffy is locked up. We've seen seraphime for jinbe, kuma, mihawk, and boa. Seeing as how they all have animal connections (shark, bear, hawk, snake), it would make sense for there to be a s-flamingo (doffy), s-crocodile (crocodile), and s-bat (moria). It would honestly be really fitting for there to be seraphim's for each of the original warlords.
theory: because vegapunk said everything comes from a wish and roger laughed at the one piece and dreams are a reacurring theme I think that maybe the one piece can take the form of it's finders dream, which will be luffy's REAL dream the one ace and sabo laughed at as kid's which I think is to end the world goverment. Sorry if this sounds like it is a shitpost because I was not sure of this
But Roger had the same dream as luffy yet Roger couldn’t fulfill his dream. That’s why he said he was too early
also other theory: I think there will be an outright war over the poneglyphs judjying on the new chapter
I think he was saying he was too early to meat joyboy because LUffy probably is joyboy
Roger ship has that weather egg, uranus
Luffy is joyboy and these aren’t really theories so we should go to #manga-serious
ok, ok, i'm manifesting deep insights into the incidents of god valley - rocks sought to be king of the world because he discovered im-sama's existence; or, had such inclinations that he was correct. as such, god valley is named so due to it being the pre-modern residence of the god of the world himself, im-sama. the enveloping conflict essentially meant the obliteration of rocks, and all possible insights to this knowledge (prob like lalucia).
dragon, vegapunk, and in some tangential-manner the body behind MADS became aware of these sorts of foreboding notions. in fact, the proceeding events of god valley were the experimentation on the scattered rocks crew. presumably they were captured and studied, to whatever possible means.
now, in 1074 we learned that in fact, kuma was a slave to CDs as a child, and indeed it seems to line up such that he likely grew up in god valley.
now, a few lines of thought:
- why was king among the original research experiments with kaido, following god valley?
- were lunarians resident to god valley? were they wiped out?
- is kuma a lunarian?
- were lunarians... somehow made impotent and stifled in some way?
i just have to wonder what it would mean for kuma to be a lunarian. now, final thought that i must share, and wonder if it's been had:
kuma has been co-optly engineered with vegapunk to create the most powerful weapon known to man, to fight the war to end all wars as their lynch-pin, of sorts. and in fact, kuma has finally put 2 and 2 together; he has heard sabo's claim, and he has understood the obliteration of his homeland, and the true history of thing. kuma is at mary geosie, with the sole purpose of disclosing im-sama and engaging an almost kamikaze assault.
essentially, i'm wondering if kuma is at mary geoise literally to battle im-sama. consider as well, the robot in a similar role... vegapunk parallels to a figure from the ancient kingdom? is im-sama a perennial enemy?
I got a better theory This theory is made up from another theory called "traitor among strawhats"
My theory
If you watched one piece correctly you know that luffy went to everyone's place example -
nami from her village saving her from arlong she cant be a traitor at any cost
franky from water 7 he knows the diagram of the ancient weapon + he wont betray strawhats because strawhats saved his rival/partner from dying so he kinda owes to them
chopper from his snowy area he cant betray strawhats because he has no where to go else he was bullied by his own species and called monster by humans + luffy helped him realise he is not a monster + he can get friends too no chance of him betraying strawhats
sanji from the restaurant he cant betray strawhats because he tried protecting luffy in whole cake island arc without luffy knowing that he is helping them + like he said to his biological father that if i beat the shit out of you guys my father(red foot zeff) will be dissapointed so if he betrays strawhats he will be dissapointed again so no chance for sanji betraying strawhats too
brook from his ship and he has laboon too so he cant be a traitor
zoro on his own island but u know there is a place where zoro was borned and seen in anime many times and everyone knows how much loyal he is too luffy he made sanji faint so he can take all the pain from luffy in thriller bark arc im 1 billion percent sure he isnt a traitor
and you also know he went to jimbei's place too + jimbey saved him from akainu and he helped strawhats in many ways + he is loyal too
and usopp too from his island he was called liar and not a brave guy and luffy helped ussop become a brave guy(almost) + he didnt called him liar and became friends with him so he cant be a traitor too
so in the end we have nico robing left who was totally unknown and came to strawhats out of nowhere maybe nico robin knew about luffy's fruit and made strawhats think she was helping them and nico robin has no place where she was came from + luffy never approached her like others strawhats were approached by her kinda making her sus afterall this is just a theory by me i think you will like it maybe
ADDITIONAL PART
Shanks and robin are working together because robin can read poneglyphs and she knows so much and shanks sent robin to check on strawhats and she gives her information time to time about strawhats
My response to my own theory
I dont actually want this to be true because for luffy to become king of pirates he must get to the laugh tale and have someone to read the poneglyphs and only robin can read them + luffy will be hurt so much if robin betrays them anyways this is just a theory and much likely to be false
another bundle of thoughts - i'm certain that franky is pluton, in the same sense that luffy is nika, and that shirahoshi is poseidon. a 'will' (soul, essentially) is past on and manifest in proceeding generations.
franky is pluton, and in fact, pluton is a giant mecha that puts the mecha that assaulted the red line to shame. hence his astonishment upon seeing the blueprints... "someone could make this?!", and so he has been trying to make it ever since, with all his mechanical creations 🙂
pluton really is designed to destroy the redline, eh? oh, oh, oh, do you think that the ancient power that vegapunk alluded to is the luminary, inspiring figure that is embodied by luffy? was pluton luffy the central inspiration to assault the wall? and so our little friend here from 200 years ago petered out with no fuel for energy and spirit...
i highly highly highly doubt Robin is a traitor, like imagine, instead of Robin going to the Sh, she first went to Crocodile, so Shanks bet on Luffy saving Robin and then her being allowed to join the crew, all her backstory with Ohara and being chased by the WG, that seems such a big stretch and relying on coincidences
i will be honest, Robin being a traitor seems even more weird to me than the people saying Brook is one and that he is working for CP0
Great theory. Great catch on the numbers on the doors. I certainly think there are more Seraphim. I think its also possible that if a Doffy was made, there were issues with forcing the personality out of him and he was too dangerous. Since he has conq haki, just like boa, it could explain the personality we see in Boa Seraphim, which ties into one small correction: Despite what Shaka said about them not having personality, it is demonstrated to not be true.
One key question your theory answers is: How was someone able to control the sea beasts without that memory ending up in Punk Records? Since they essentially mind meld using VP's devil fruit, we should assume the only way that memories would not make it to Punk Records is if the memories were removed with Kuma's fruit. The only way the sea beasts could have been controlled without a VP would be some form of mind control power, which is something I suggested previously, but I wasn't sure how that would work out and which DF power would be used. At first I thought maybe someone had Pudding's power, but now that I have thought about this more, here is how I think this might work out:
S-Doffy is difficult to control and too much of his personality shines through, which causes them to try to suppress him and confine him. He creates a duplicate of himself using his power, as he did in Dressrosa, and meanwhile is able to slip away by turning into string. He manages to plan this whole escape/destruction plan in secret and kidnaps all the WG agents to prevent the WG from interfering with his plan. He uses his parasite ability to control the sea beasts, then uses his parasite ability to control other Seraphim, such as S-Kuma. By controlling both Seraphim and S-Kuma, he is able to basically do everything.
The only issue here is that it doesn't explain the shadow thing that everyone seems to have a different idea of who it "clearly" is. But I do think S-Doffy makes sense. I am not entirely sold on the idea, but I'm not entirely sold on any idea other than Punk Records achieving sentience and trying to prevent people from leaving due to loneliness.
So I think we all agree the traitor can't be one of the Stella right ?
Simply because the stellas have their memories synced so the traitor would be found out if it was a stella
I have absolutely no doubt that S-Flamingo exists. But even if he turns out to be present on Egghead and involved in the incidents, I don't see a world where there isn't somebody else behind him. There's no way S-Flamingo is the mastermind here.
To say that Doflamingo is the hardest guy to control is just not true. As a shichibukai he was always very agreeable.
If being a Conqueror and hating the Government could make your Seraphim malfunction, S-Snake would have rebelled 100 years sooner than S-Flamingo.
Maybe S-Snake and other Seraphim have all secretly been rebels. I just don't see S-Flamingo being special among them. Doflamingo had his time, he won't be this important again.
I think punk records is said mastermind
He was agreeable, but his objective has never been anything other than world domination. Being a warlord was always just a means to an end. His only objective is destroying the world. He was only agreeable for the sake of his long term objectives.
Did he now ? The way I see it he was mostly just doing business, getting richer and enjoying the life. I don't see any signs that Doflamingo was advancing any sort of plan.
Seems to me he's the same as Orochi in that regard. Using his past and his will for revenge to justify his present actions when it's actually just self-interest.
Compare him to Hancock, who's just as justified in despising the Government. She never did anything for the WG despite being a Shichibukai, and openly considered them her enemies at all times, only ever taking advantage of them.
Surely if hatred was Doflamingo's primary drive, there are infinite ways he could have gone that didn't involve working and trading with his "mortal enemy"
From the very beginning, his only objective has been destroying the world. He has done a variety of things to work towards that goal, and he described it in great detail during Dressrosa. The whole secret of Marie Jois allowing him to rule the world once he is given the eternal youth surgery is a big part of that.
I think Doffy's backstory did a good job at framing him as the deeply, deeply hateful and motivated person that will never stop trying to destroy everything
I certainly see how Doflamingo says that, but what did he ever do that would take him in the direction of this alledged goal of "world destruction" ?
If he's so into vengeance, how come all of his actions match those of a purely self-interested man ?
Even "ruling the world" is vastly different to destroying it.
As far as the world is concerned Doflamingo was actually a perfectly integrated cog in the machine. Listen to him after he's defeated rant about how the balance is broken without him. He was the one protecting the world from chaos !
But to go back to the original point on the Seraphim, even if we accept that Doflamingo was deep down planning the World Government's destruction, the fact remains that he was willing to compromise and be "reasonable", to the point that he traded with his enemy, worked for his enemy, even took odd jobs from them !
Hancock on the other hand was so opposed to the idea of being used by the Government that she would have rather given up her country's protection than do one assignment for them.
If there's one warlord who absolutely can't be controlled it's her.
I think that just like BB and everyone else, the people reaching for the top, who are smart enough to reach the top, do so safely. He didn't have all he needs to just wage war on the WG
I see this as just Doffy being well-written as a sociopath. This is entirely consistent with who he is. Do what you need to do to get where you want to be. Pride is a weakness.
This is turning into more of a Doffy personality deep dive, so we can continue that component in serious if we want. But for the sake of this theory, I will just say "I think Boa showing complex emotions indicates Seraphim are not as brain washed as was intended. Doffy being locked away due to being too rowdy makes sense why we haven't seen him yet. His power makes him uniquely able to do a lot of what we are seeing". But as I said yesterday, its really hard to have confidence in any of these predictions because we are very information-starved
Luffy went to “Robins place” when he rescued her. She doesn't have a place because her home was destroyed
Robin has been with the SH this past few months.
Which means she couldn't have been the one capturing the CP agents
OR Vegapunk starts using cola because it's a superior power source
A problem I see in your theorie is how S-Flamingo controlling S-Bear movements with parasite would force S-Bear to use his DF power. As far as we know the puppy is still completely aware (Sarquiss, marines, dressrossa soldiers). and just as his ability to move taken away.
Maybe if S-Flamingo threatens to kill them if they don't obey. But it would make no sense to have such a power gap between 2 seraphims
My impression from Dressrosa was that the parasite thing is independent of strength and is more of a form of mind control than it is mechanically moving people, even though it is done with strings. But in the absence of that being true, I agree it doesn't make much sense.
I took it as doffy connecting his strings with the nerves of the person he wants to control. He can essentially take control of the persons muscles and their movement. Much like you have those experiments where you attach electrodes to a dead frog legs and make them move. The people under control were very much present with their minds but just had no control of their bodies. So I wouldn't call it mind control per se
Stella didn't know someone is collecting CP#s somewhere in the Labo for 2 months, so either the satellites can hide something from the syncing process or it's not a satellite. If S-Flamingo is behind the abductions, then he's not behind the other Seraphim rebelling and the sillouete is Saturn, since only the Gorosei can overrule Vegapunk.
Also Robin is not a traitor. She failed to doublecross Crocodile and accepted death then and there. She did it again in Water 7, and Luffy saved her again in ELobby. Robin is morbid and deadpan, but she's at least as loyal as any other SW.
Was Doflamingo in Dressrossa ever able to use his fruit without a direct, or close to direct, line of sight? I highly doubt he is controlling 4 Seraphim in different parts of a building. His range in Dressrossa was immense, but he was on a high point and controlling stuff going down at street level, can't remember his ability going around buildings...
He could use the string clone in a narrow corridor (I hate the string clone)
I'm not sure but there were definitely some plot armour shenanigans happening in dressrossa. He controled what seemed to be hundreds of people if not more (correct me if I'm wrong) Being alert enough to see all of them and control what their movement seems somewhat crazy to me whichever way you put it. Regarding the seraphim situation idk how he would be controlling their df abilities if my theory on how his controlling ability works is correct. If not then I just don't think it's his doing. In fact from the get go I think that theory has very little traction with all the other better explanations
I'm still pretty convinced the Seraphim project was conducted on the up-and-up with WG supervision, and I highly doubt the Gorosei would think cloning a former Celestial Dragon would be acceptable. We've seen that CP5 came to do a regular check up on the island, found everything up to par, then got attacked as they were leaving. So I'm still not convinced we're getting an S-Flamingo. Would like to see him and S-croc tho
I actually haven't thought about the connection with the CD's and them not allowing to clone one of them even if it was doffy
thanks for pointing that out. Although I still think it's way too convenient for us to get the og 7 warlords as seraphim. Tbh once one of them abandoned their title as a CD they treated them like no one. They didn't allow the Donquixote family back once they left. The only reason they talked to Doffy was because he had something to hold over their head. Also they wider public didn't know about his connection to the CD's so they wouldn't care
We don't know how the authority ranking system works above "authority chip". If it's Lineage Factor related, and since the Gorosei are Celestial Dragons, one question arises: How much inbreeding did the CDs get up to in 700 years? Enough for any CD to outrank the Vegapunks? Am I cooking this one too much?
I think you're overcooking this one
I was under the impression it works on things like facial, voice recognition combined with a chip or something similar to what cp0 has and nothing to do with lineage factor. I think only the Gorosei can control them not all CD's. Imu and the elders surely know better than to give control of these super powerful beings over to those buffoons of CD's
….what if the only way to escape egghead is by using seraphim kuma power to let the strawhats ship fly When everyone is on it. That will complete the mirror arc. It will end the same way sabaody archipelago ended with kuma powers. And they fly to elbaf. Blackbeard can teleport there. And garp is after Blackbeard. With luffy coming, the battle royale that oda hinted in jump festa 2023 will start in elbaf. Thoughts??
I don't know. However during the Egghead Island Arc, it will be revealed that Franky uses the coca-cola fruit and will awaken by using his cola boost capabilities to get the crew out of Egghead.
SUPER BOOSTA COLA
Alternatively the real Kuma might be trying to reach Egghead and could do this which would let Bonney see her dad again for real
What if luffy stays behind to let everyone escape, gets captured, execution ordered. Then the Straw hat grand fleet has to roll up and save him. Next arc
This would also fit the mirror arc theory, except instead of luffy trying to save ace from execution everyone luffy has helped is coming to save him from execution
see the problem with that is that the real Kuma is climbing to get to Mary Geoise atm and he doesnt seem to stop until he either reaches it to do what ever or he is stopped
I want this.
What makes you so confident his destination is Mariejois? He was at Kamabakka(in Paradise) and he shot at the Red Line instead of actually going all the way up directly. It's more likely that he has a directive to try and go to Egghead(in the New World), and Mariejois/red line is in the way
Kuma started freaking out the second the Vegapunks started getting ready for danger, the narrative framing suggests that Kuma's trying to get to Vegapunk
He'd get his ass beat in Marie Jois and has no purpose there afaik, whereas Egghead is where his memories and whatnot are
Wait.. do you reckon Kuma is being controlled remotely in the same way as the Frontier Dome and the Seraphim ? By the Punk Records rogue mind maybe ?
Kuma is attacking and climbing up the red line just like that robot...there has to be some kind of connection and idea
The vegapunks have no idea why the VC robot attacked, and Kuma ix copying a similar behaviour.
Do you think it gas something to do with the Holy land itself?
Because why go up at the red port? This looks way more like what that robot did like Blueberg said
Kuma didn't land at Red Port. He crashed into the redline and fell down. Comparing with the Straw Hats when they were Paw-pawed, there's no Paw-shaped cushion at the destination. It might be that Kuma dehumanized doesn't do the paw-shaped air pocket, or he didn't arrive at his destination because of the huge obstacle in the way.
yes and where was that. at Red Port, obviously just by pure coincidence you are right
i mean its possible that Kamabaka and Egghead, if you draw a direct line between those 2 it goes through the Red Port and Mary Geoise, but i have my doubts
I don't think what Blueberg and Seesaw said are completely mutually exclusive. Kuma climb might be a parallel to the AK robot climb, while also being a robot trying to follow the recall order sent by VP when they were attacked.
see id ont think VP send a signal to Kuma, its possible but i dont think so
We don't know exactly what happened with the AK robot, "legend" says it was attacking Marie Geoise, but it could also be travelling from A to B, found the unnatural rock formation, tried to climb over it and lost power in the meantime. The legend was vague enough to allow for rampant speculation
The issue is that you aren't really suggesting any reason or evidence for it to happen. This channel is reserved for posting theories with evidence and reasoning and whatnot, whereas what you are posting is more like "hey what if". And that's not a bad thing, its just a better fit for channels like #manga or #also-manga where people post brief ideas like this
!theories @hallow spoke please keep shorter “what if” questions like that in #manga-serious .
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. Just as a reminder guys, this channel is only intended for posting and discussing in-depth theories, rather than discussing what ifs and similar ideas. For any sort of light hearted discussion, please feel free to use #manga

Also, when people are seeking discussion of potential theories to iron out details or clarify specifics, people commonly use #manga-serious , which is intended for that sort of thing.
They removed my vegapunk as imu sama theory that seems sus
Yeah the mods know the plot, so they keep theories just far enough away from the truth for fun
I think I have an idea for what df abilities are in Germa 66 raid suits but please, correct me if I'm wrong.
Reiju and sanji's are a little obvious, poison like Magellan and clear like absolom.
Ichiji calls himself sparking red and even though the theme is mostly fire for his red color, I think the spark is based on light manipulation like kizaru.
Niji is electric blue and it could be a rumble ability with lightning and enhanced speed but honestly not sure.
Yonji is winch green but he's currently the hardest I couldn't figure out. He usually uses mechanical enhancements and I guess that tech can boost his strength so it could be something with muscles like buff but his isn't as a clear picture.
I always imagined that Niji lightning was based on Sulong form.
I don't think they are all based on fruits.
Sanji using fire may well be retconned into representing lunarian race
Ohh, I wouldn't have though the lightning for Niji would be based on the minks or Sulong but that's a good theory. I would think some would be based on fruits but you could be right on the lunarian stuff later, but we'll have to wait until Oda confirms otherwise
Hello guys. How are you? I have a question for you. I am a new member and i dont know if you are talk with this question. What is your opinion for the One Piece? What do you think is the One Piece and the history of the century empty? This is my first issue in this forum. Thank you for read this issue.
Not implying he did, just asking if he could've.
i think thats more a question you should ask in #manga-serious or the other 2 manga channels since this just to present theories and not ask questions

@rustic flame welcome! Like others have said, there are plenty of theories trying to answer what has happened in the void century as well as what the One Piece could be in this channel’s pins. Feel free to respond to any of them that interest you. To see the pins (if you’re on mobile) swipe left and click on the thumbtack-looking button on the top right side of your screen. Freiar’s links are another way to reach that list of pinned theories.
@meager jasper it’s an interesting question, but like Chrissy said, we request that any open-ended questions not related to a theory should be asked in either #manga or #manga-serious . Please feel free to restate that in #manga-serious
@ocean crest in this channel, we ask that people provide evidence/reasoning for their theory. Do you have any reason why he’d be alive and/or why it’d be relevant? Else, you can use #manga or #manga-serious for shorter thoughts like that
It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t think there’s as much in-story evidence to prove your idea one way or another. Please feel free to bring it up in #manga-serious and if you find more evidence then you’re welcome to repost it. This channel’s for long theories like the ones pinned
@steady prism. So if i have a theory of One Piece i have to say in the paragraph #manga-serious right?
If it’s a short theory/idea then yes. If it’s a longer theory (like the ones pinned), then you’re welcome to post it here.
@steady prism. Ok partner. Thanks for your time and your advices, this forum and the people here take me help to learn english. So thank you for speak to me in english
You think oda will not off screen these battles with law and Kidd ? Do you think he will dedicate a run of chapters to each fight?

In the ending, Nico Robin will become the temporary Pirate King because she holds the one piece with written poneglyphs all over it and because Luffy can't read that's why he gave it to her.
It could be but.
Imu-san, Zunesha, and Joyboy were once comrades who ventured the sea together. After learning about the world, they stored all of their adventures in laugh tale where they can share the wondrous story they had together with the world. However, Zunesha and Imu did not agree as they got greedy. Zunesha got punished and turned into what it is today and Imu-san escaped along with the hat Joyboy had.
Toki was tasked to find what Joyboy once had.
Baseless theory which made me think too much: What if Imu' power is mind control?
(Considering how haki plays a role, Mind control seems like the ultimate power in One Piece)
Didn't think much of it until I connected some dots:
How would Oda make a final, singular, villain interesting...?
...If Imu' power is mind control...
...that would force Strawhats to fight each other...
...if the Strawhats fight each other, who would win?
WAIT A SECOND.
What if Ussopp realises the situation, and completely manhandles the entire crew by himself because he's seen it all before?
The idea just popped into my head, but...
Ussopp vs Luffy would suddenly have a new perspective
It would be Sabaody all over again, but with a positive conclusion
It would make his lies about being the strongest come true from a technical stand point. (if it ever was rofl)
Possibly, I think Imu used his/her powers to create the world government and ensure that everything stays under control
Imu fears the damnation of this world which he/she believed what Joyboy could potentially have done if he made Laugh Tale available to the public.
Where is this coming from? There seems to be a lot of leaps happening without any real explanation (Imu being Joyboy’s crewmate, Zunesha and Imu being greedy for something, Toki’s “task” being that specific). Please make sure that your theory’s grounded with in-story events/facts so that there can be an evidence-based discussion on it.
It’s an interesting idea, but since it’s more of a running thought on Imu’s power, this might be better suited for #manga-serious . As mentioned to Jua, theories here need to be tied to in-story details/evidence.
When it was revealed that Imu had the straw hat. (Possibly worn by Joyboy)
When it was mentioned that Zunesha was punished for betraying someone.
When the government is trying to find the place of Laugh Tale.
When Toki lived 800 years ago with a mission to find the Land of Wano.
The ancient weapons having the name of the planets and one government elder, a Gorosei, has the name Saturn.
When the empty throne is seated by Imu.
There's no way Imu could be young and already has the highest position in the World Government.
The fact that he/she has a garden tells us that Imu is potentially old enough. I know this one baseless but having a garden or a lawn or living in spacious peace is a running theme for old people in One Piece.
Imu decimated a country and erased its history.
The World Government being so fixated to erase history.
This could be the way of Imu trying to protect the world and it's by governance and control.
It is reflected on Akainu being so fixated about justice and righteousness.
Why is Akainu so fixated about righteousness and not caring about if people die?
It is because he is controlled by Imu. The Gorosei and him.
Maybe
akainus backstory would be interesting
is there a discussion about the theories of gohdroger?
Its not a theory. It is fan fiction. So it isn't discussed here.
if kaido really wanted to die cant he just have drowned himself in sea water since hes a df user
I think I kinda have an answer for that, and also a theory that I was about to post here in the first place.
I believe that Kaido wanted to kill himself so that he could awaken his devil fruit.
Maybe the only way to awaken a Zoan fruit is that the user must die in battle or in some specific way so that the soul of the fruit will take effect and awaken. Drowning probably doesn't work since it would negate the devil fruit powers. Also eating a second devil fruit also doesn't work since it would probably kill him for real, and Kaido didn't want to really die, he just wanted to awaken his powers.
No one was strong enough to kill Kaido in battle, and he was waiting for Joyboy because he would be the only one who would be able to do that.
When Gorosei Saturn said that this outcome is better than the other, or something similar, I believe he meant the possibility of Kaido dying and awakening his devil fruit powers, so in a way WG assisted Kaido.
Also the reason that Oda did not show us more of Kaido's flashback is because we will see Kaido again, he will probably have already awakened his powers and saved Big Mom somehow, since his devil fruit is a mythical fish maybe he can control the water in some way and crystallized the lava around them before it would penetrate their haki and melt them. Kinda the same as the oil that boiled Oden.
What do you think?
I mean if that’s the case he could have just stood there and let oden kill him. I’m assuming kaido wanted to feel what it was like to lose to someone better than himself
I guess there is a missing information that we still don't have but there should be a reason that a zoan type devil fruit user couldn't do that. if that is not the case then my whole theory is just not valid.
dude. his devil fruits name is fish fish no mi. how would he die in water?
because he is not a fishman like jack and he wouldn't be able to breath
What if in the final battle blackbeard takes some of the luffys df power
Black beard took the quake fruit by using the power or the dark fruit and the dark fruit is.. well... darkness
And what other spacial being is darkness? A black hole.
A black hole is the only spacial being ( I think ) that can absorb light and black beard is the only df user to supposedly be able to steal other peoples dfs as we've seen with whitebeard .
This would show that devil fruit in my theory would act like light and black beard would be a black hole.
Does that not mean that in the final fight between bb and luffy bb may be able to absorb some of his df as it is the sun god fruit.
In the end luffy then may end up beating bb as a sun becoming a black hole and consuming entities relatively close
This has no base and I'm not to good at spacial stuff
thats the whole point of a devil fruit
that your power comes with the same weakness as every1 ekse
But maybe like jack his fish fish fruit let's him breath in water, although the df would make him weak
Jack is a fishman btw
jack's devil fruit lets him transform into a mammoth, he is able to breathe underwater since he himself is a fishman
Y'all, I just had a strange revelation. There are so many characters trying to become Pirate King, and everyone seriously trying knows the only way to get the One Piece is to get to Laugh Tale. We currently have Shanks, Law, Blackbeard, Luffy, and Kid as the CONFIRMED individuals trying to get the One Piece OR become Pirate King (since getting the OP makes you the PK, it's the same goal). The only way to do this is to read the Road Poneglyphs, correct? So how exactly is ANYONE except the Strawhats planning on getting there when only TWO people in the entire world are CONFIRMED to be able to read them, with one more unnamed character likely being able to reach them?
So Nico Robin is said to be the only person on the planet who read the glyphs, yet others are trying to gather them for the same ultimate goal, which would at the very least IMPLY they have a means of translating them. I was wondering what possible way Shanks and Kid would have to read the poneglyphs as we know how Luffy (through Robin) and Blackbeard (through kidnapped Pudding, most likely, but not confirmed) have a way, but how would Kid and Shanks? For Shanks, I believe, that using the same knowledge available to Robin, the "Burned Man" aka Jaguar D Saul on Elbaf, can probably now read the ancient language. He's had 20 years with all those books while Robin only had her first 8 years of life. But that leaves the question of Kid.
Kid is trying to get to saul too
pudding can apparently read em which is why blackbeard has got her
MAYBE.... or hear me out with my coming explanation.
Someone on Youtube told me that "Killer can read the Poneglyphs" which is a patently false statement based on what we know now.... but remember that UNNAMED character I mentioned? It's Puddy's dad, an adult 3 eye tribe member. Does he live? We have no idea, but being a mature 3 eye tribe, he can read poneglyphs as of yet unknown means involving his eye. What if Kid is trying to become the Pirate King with Killer at his side because Killer is a three eye tribe member? He is ALWAYS wearing a mask to hide his face except in two instances; when we are shown him as a child and on Wano. As a child, he has bangs covering his eyes and entire forehead, so we can only see his nose and mouth, and on Wano, we can see his eyes and mouth, but bandages cover most of his face, including his forehead. What if Kid was SO confident he could get to Laugh Tale using the Poneglyphs because Killer is a 3 Eye member? Again, radical speculation, and maybe he wants to meet Saul aka the Burned Man because he knows he can translate poneglyphs for them that they have collected, but if that isn't the case, maybe he is so confident because he has had someone who can read them with him this whole time.
shanks mightve been taught it

Correct, that is why him and Luffy were not addressed, but Shanks and Kid were. Shanks has access to Saul, who has had 20 years with the same books that Robin learned from. That is a VERY good reason for Kid to be seeking him out, so my second part is far far more speculative to say that Killer might be a three eye tribe member as his forehead has been intentionally and chronically hidden by Oda in every instance, even as a child and even when we see him without a mask for the first/only time.
could ANY 3 eyed tribe read them?
Supposedly they can awaken the ability to read them yes
ive never actually heard the 3 eye killer theory before
When "awakened" which we do not exactly know the true extent of the meaning of that phrase. I believe the third eye's awakening allows for the user to access the Voice of All Things, the most mysterious power thus far introduced in all of One Piece. It is functionally their racial ability.
That's cool as I literally just had it pop into my head because of a single Youtube comment (here). Never thought of it before at all before writing that reply
While I DO believe that Kid is trying to get to "Burned Man" Saul to find someone who can translate his poneglyphs, the intentional obscuring of Killer's forehead in all art of him thus far, and Kid's confidence that with the poneglyphs they WILL be able to get to Laugh Tale leads me to believe that there is a chance that Killer is a 3-Eye Tribe member.
Oh..... my god. Now that we know a pirate killed his dad, this could literally open up so much. We know his dad was a swordsman, so maybe, like his son, he challenged Mihawk, who was young, famous, and strong at the time.
Now that you mentioned it, and Zoro's initial HATRED of pirates all makes sense, and if he knew of and wanted to challenge Mihawk, maybe that was the case, BUT I do think that Zoro might have said something like "you killed my father" but we didn't get that.
That could actuaally be tru
Well a lot of ppl don’t have reader and are confident. I’d say the fact he’s looking for saul puts this theory basically in the water. And Robin could have translated the wci and wano one for him
The funny thing is she hasn’t even translated them for LUFFY yet. I think you’re right, but his chronically obscure forehead, when we HAVE seen every other part of his face, makes me curious

Theory
The Seraphims were already planned WAY before they decided to replace the warlord or possibly around the time the warlords were to be made.
The Gorosei wanted to create Seraphims to fight against Yonko, and that's why they enlisted Yegapunk when they might have heard he successfully created the first perfected clone.
They didn't have them at the time, and so they created the warlord system to provide millitary power.
They tried to capture Lunarians and possibly giants (or used the experiments from Punk Hazard) to create the ultimate warriors, gods of the red line.
Kuma was a test subject try out cybernetics and enhancements, and see how they fair with creating robotic drone soldiers.
HOWEVER, the Warlords over time were causing not only issues, but made the Marines and World Government look bad. As well as the fact that they either keep losing, don't follow orders, turn on them or don't assist.
They probably asked for blood samples or requested DNA samples in order, because they wanted to replace them soon and wanted to try using DNA from the strongest pirates.
They likely wanted them to be stronger too, and requested them to possess devil fruit powers, and in Impel Down, they would provide blood from prisoners too.
It wasn't until recently, likely before marineford, that the Warlord system was reering it's Ugly Head.
Boa wasn't listening, Crocodile screwing over Alabasta, Jinbei refusing to take part in the Paramount War?
After Doflamingo's attack and Revere occured, where Cobra and King Riku announced the torment they, their families and countries suffered, it couldn't be ignored and they had not choice, no matter how far long the Seraphims where, but to discontinue the warlord system.
As we saw, S-Shark wasn't fully done, and the Seraphim are children. It's likely that they were going to be adults, but Vegapunk ran out of time and they couldn't fully develop.
All blue is either a.fishmen island or b.it will be formed after the grandline is destroyed merging the 4 seas together
The One piece is on the MOON
Arguments :
1 - Imagine If you were able to accidentally reach laugh tale by getting lost. LOL
2 - Enel is the only first-half Grand Line major villain that Luffy defeated that didn't make his comeback.(It's the final saga already!!!)
3 - Moon is one of the few mentioned places that Luffy didn't go to(And again, It's the final saga!!!)
4 - Knowing how crazy Oda made Grand Line be(Sky Island, Deep Sea Island, etc.) I don't think It's just going to be a random island or a random place in an island.
5 - Why Nika pose always have to be in front of the moon?
6 - Why is Luffy's Awakening white color? Vegapunk explained that fruits are made from the thinking of "Wouldn't It be cool If It was like this"?
7 - Sulongs(after looking at the moon), for some reason, look VERY similar to Gear 5 in design.
8 - The name "Sun God Nika" could be refering to the moon.
9 - Why would Oda make the moon easteregg through the series?(search if you don't know what I'm talking about.)
10 - I doubt the One Piece is in Mary Geoise, Doflamingo would be the King Of Pirates by now.
Before anyone reply, there's no solid theory here, just a few eastereggs that could be related to It. Oda never gave space for solid theories regarding important things that were revealed in the past(Gear 5, Poseidon, Advanced Conqueror, etc.). Oda only works with eastereggs.
P.S : ||Posting before Oda reveals It, so I can flex later

G5 being white is because the sun's white because of the atmosphere we see it as yellow
Guys, is there such a thing as Tony chopper's theory of being a forest god? While playing Witcher 3, there is a monster called leshen in the game, "I may be typing the names wrong, excuse me". A two-legged monster that looks like a deer. Looking at his type, I compared him to the monster form of Chopper. Whatever this Leshen monster is that represents the forest in Slavic mythology, I looked at a few mythologies about deer, and I saw that in most places the Deer represents the forest and healing, or by the way, one of the features of the monster I call Leshen is that it can take on different shapes. Anyway, I searched for something about it on reddit and saw that there is such a theory, but it is very baseless. Do you know any theory about it? Or what are your thoughts?
IMO none of this explains why he gets human traits.
I think an interesting idea might be if its a "hito hito no mi, model Giant"
isnt forest god that psycho admiral aramaki?
One piece being on the moon is an interesting idea, but Roger and else wouldn't have called it " the last island " and Roger wouldn't have told that " he felt that there was something after the last known island "
I mean it's possible but she seems to come from Rocks so she might have met Shiki there, in the end we might never find out
@modest skiff do I hav e to get a certain level of notoriety to expect a pin?
Oh okay okay
Ye
I pinged mohdoo they must be asleep
I know it’s not super elegant and takes a lot from other theories but I tried
I like it, I think the biggest thing that I agree with is that the lunarians did get overthrown and all that.\
Just so you know, we ask that people that are linking to a theory to provide a summary of it. Since yours is already a PDF, could you please add 2-3 sentences about what the theory covers? "Gods of the Earth" is pretty abstract and doesn't tell me what I'm getting myself into before clicking that link.
Regarding your question about getting a theory pinned, no you don't need notoriety, just a good high-quality theory. Whether a theory gets pinned or not is handled on a case-by-base basis, just be patient and you'll get an answer soon.
Looking over your theory, I appreciate you taking the time to list out the in-story evidences that you're using to explain/justify your Ancient Kingdom/Void Century theory. It's a solid foundation that's sorely needed for topics like this where we're operating with very little information.
A few thoughts your evidences:
- To be pedantic, the Robot was build before the Void Century. In ch395 Clover told us that the Void Century ended 800 years ago, implying it happened around 900-800 years ago.
- The Wano - Grand Line parallel is really interesing; both are essentially a collection of islands that have very different climates protected by some sort of natural barrier. There are other ideas that I'll save for another time, but overall that's a great point 👍
- Fun fact: due to Law's map in ch1056, we learned that the grand line is not sitting on the "equator" of the one piece world (i.e. spanning from East to West). Instead, the grand line encircles the planet from North-East to South-West. In other words, the Red Line isn't sitting longitudinally as we once thought. Rather, the Red Line and Grand Line make an "X" shape around the world.
- Ohara's geocentric model of their solar system and Enel's trip to the moon together does demonstrate that other worlds might exist, but are you assuming that the orbiting bodies are moons or planets? I'm guessing either way you're assuming other civilization may exist in those moons/planets.
A few questions about your theory:
- What "ability" or "help" do you think Mother Nature is providing to the native people or the unknown visiting race besides water? What power could have helped the natives subdue the technologically-advanced Lunarians?
- Are you saying Imu is a title that's passed down from generation to generation?
- I'm not really sure how the Fishmen and Noah come to play. Are you saying that after the Ancient Kingdom was defeated, did the D clan want to bring the Fishmen residents up but was thwarted by Imu's group and the 20 kingdoms? Why are you calling the Fishmen "survivors"?
- Does Imu's supposed water powers explain the concentration of sea kings in the calm belt?
- There is a prophecy about the 2 rulers meeting, there is a prophecy Toki made about the liberation of Wano 20 years into the future, but I don't recall there being any prophecy about Joyboy in the story.
Overall, the personification of Mother Nature as an entity that helps the struggling side to evolve and become a counterbalance to the reining regime in the world is really interesting. It may very well explain how people were first introduced to haki. It was a good read.
!theories Going to remind people that this channel's meant to discuss lengthy theories. Please take open-ended questions (that re unrelated to an already-existing theory above) and shorter thoughts/ideas to #manga or #manga-serious
Mother Nature and the Visitors from the Heavens
BACKGROUND
As we have seen in Chapter 908 during the Reverie, Imu has a peculiar fascination with nature. Imu has a room with flowers and butterflies inside the castle.
Regarding Imu, we see him presumably wielding a weapon against Lulusia Kingdom in Chapter 1060. Popular opinions suggests that this could be the ancient weapon Uranus, given the connection to the Greek god Uranus, god of the sky.
During Chapter 1069, Vegapunk gives a cryptic theory about the origins of devil fruits. Within this lecture, he gives mention to the way they disturb Mother Nature/the sea. It’s just his theory, and Mother Nature is not confirmed or denied to be an existing entity within One Piece, but it does open up an interesting discussion.
In Chapter 1067, we learned about the ancient robot kept deep in Egghead. It was built during the Void Century and most likely was a creation of the Ancient Kingdom. Vegapunk revealed within the Egghead Arc that this kingdom possessed immense energy sources and hyper-advanced technology. It is also implied that the Ancient Weapons are of their creation.
This robot attacked the Holy Land 200 years ago, as stated by Vegapunk. It’s probably safe to assume it was programmed to destroy the 20 Kingdoms or Imu or whatever authority was in opposition to the Ancient Kingdom’s sovereignty.
In Chapter 1055, Kozuki Sukiyaki explains the geographic history of Wano to Robin and Law. The island mysteriously grew large walls around it that isolated the land from the world and flooded the original Wano. There is another geographic anomaly in the one piece world with a similar disruptive effect…
The Red Line. The colossal continent encircling the planet. It conveniently divides the oceans into halves, with the calm belts dividing it into quarters. An additional anomaly is Fishman Island, an ancient Fishman civilization which now rests deep on the seabed under the Red Line. Fishman Island also has a giant ship, the Noah, which was supposed to lift people to the surface.
In Chapter 1023, we realize that the monolith was originally the domain of the Lunarians, who were referred to as “gods”. This winged race is presumably extinct aside from King by the time of current events. There is another group that refers to themselves as gods and also now takes residence upon the Red Line…
The Celestial Dragons. Claimed to be the descendants of the original 20 Kingdoms’ royalty, and directly responsible for most of the systemic corruption and prejudice within the World Government, they take residence within the Holy Land of Mary Geoise. They are for all intents and purposes viewed as gods (or tyrants) by the lower class of the World Government. This is the same government that also suppresses knowledge of the happenings of the Void Century. On the topic of gods and mythology, the One Piece universe also has mentions of other worlds.
In the Enel’s Great Space Operations cover story, Enel discovers the ancient civilization of Birka on the moon. He sees drawings that seemingly confirm that the winged people of Skypeia and Upper Yard share history with this civilization. This ancient civilization also possesses advanced technology. This isn’t the only suggestion/confirmation of something out there.
On Ohara, a lunarium is seen with multiple bodies orbiting the world. This could be just an Easter egg for all we know but Ohara was at the cutting edge of knowledge in the post Void-Century world and made controversial discoveries. It could be an indication of something.
THE THEORY
The Lunarians are not native to the planet in One Piece. Like the people from Birka and Skypeia, they descended to the planet from space and possess wings to show their distant connection with space peoples. The Lunarians had technology that could reshape the planet however they wish. They built the Red Line in their arrogance so they could be between space and earth, as gods of this world (like the Tower of Babel). Mother Nature saw the Lunarians’ pride and exploitation of nature as an offense. For their actions, they were punished and brought to near extinction. Mother Nature assisted the native peoples of the planet in eliminating the Lunarian society.
The native peoples of the world formed the Ancient Kingdom, an intelligent and powerful civilization that spanned the world. Over time, they too grew arrogant and the civilization created weapons of mass destruction and created/discovered devil fruits. With their weapons of mass destruction, they could possess dominion of the sea (Poseidon), the land (pluton) and the sky (Uranus). Their devil fruits and infinite energy were seen as offenses to Mother Nature.
Within the Ancient Kingdom was a clan with different opinions. This clan, led by Joy Boy, believed in the liberalization of power and preserving the natural order of the world. The Clan of D was hated by the Ancient Kingdom as they represented opposition to their authority. Allied with the Clan of D were the regions of Arabasta, Wano, and Fishman Island. At this same time, something much more fateful was about to take place.
900 years ago, another race touched down upon the Red Line. They did not originally come to harm, so were welcomed by Mother Nature. As time went on, both Mother Nature and the new race grew tired of the Ancient Kingdom’s absolute rule and abuse of nature, so Mother Nature provided them with the ability to help destroy the Ancient Kingdom. The Ancient Kingdom was much more powerful than the Lunarians and needed something more significant to be stopped.
Mother Nature gave power to a particular member with a fondness for nature. This member, Imu, was given the ability to control the seas. The race also allied with the Clan of D and 20 other worldwide factions of people in their wish to end the Ancient Kingdom’s rule. A great war broke out that reshaped parts of the planet, including Wano and Fishman Island.
After the dust had settled, all was assumed to be well. However, the visitors were not satisfied with a humble victory. They started to sow discord among the 20 Kingdoms toward the Clan of D and their allies, which led to a civil war. Imu tried drowning the enemies by controlling the seas, but Zunesha betrayed them and provided refuge to the Clan, allowing them to survive the flood and scatter across the world. Fishman Island and Joy Boy tried using the Noah to transport survivors to the surface, but Poseidon had perished so it could not be lifted. Joy Boy regretted being unable to save more people, and the survivors repopulated Fishman Island on the sea floor. Arabasta stayed neutral in the civil war, which disappointed the new government.
Most of the visiting race’s population was extinguished in the Great War, so over time they cross-bred with humans, leaving Imu as the only true member of his race left by the present day. Imu had abused the Ope Ope no Mi devil fruit to gain immortality, cementing his betrayal of Mother Nature. Wano, the former allies of the Clan of D, created poneglyphs so the history may never be lost. Realizing that his water power could not win every battle, Imu took possession of the ancient weapon Uranus so he could dominate enemies that are out of his reach.
The Ancient Kingdom’s metropolitan heart lied near the end of what is currently the New World. For some reason, Imu and his government was unable to completely destroy the ruins of this civilization, so he manipulated the seas to create the calm belts. This would deter people from crossing into the New World from the North and West Blues. He also made the waters extremely treacherous.
The One Piece is the only power in the world that can oppose the power foolishly given to Imu by Mother Earth. It lies in Mother Nature’s heart at the center of the planet, through a passage along the Grand Line. The One Piece is called so because an opposing “piece” was originally provided to Imu to defeat the Ancient Kingdom. In this theory, there is a prophecy that Joy Boy, the purest and most free man in history, will return and use the One Piece to free the world and nature. He will reunite the two pieces and restore Mother Nature. Mother Nature, who is tired of the division of power and peoples and inspired by Joy Boy’s pursuit of freedom, will shatter the wall separating her seas (the red line) and usher in a new age.
I think you have spoiled One Piece for all of us
What if luffy’s secret dream is for everyone to be able to travel through the sky/space? Or for at least him to be able to— like the king of the seas and the king of the skies. I have a few things that might back up this theory.
-The original JoyBoy having this dream/idea could explain why the lunarians and other ancient peoples have wings. They could’ve been given to them, or developed through sharing his same will. The shandians had wings even before their island was lifted—perhaps from being descended from a similar race/group to the Lunarians, or from the lunarians themselves. Their cultures seem to have at least two similarities— knowing of “joyboy” and the way they paint or tattoo their faces primarily on their left. It’s really not much, but it’s something. It could relate even to the tattoo dragon has, and the fact that luffys scar is on his left as well. The former could have had intentional meaning for dragon.
-We know now that people in this world seemingly can “will” certain things to happen— perhaps the longing of the sky people to travel further, higher, and amongst their own island areas with more ease is why the Shandians & skypeians were beginning to evolve wings. It’s a little out there, but maybe this could connect with the idea of “being closer to the gods”. They strongly believed in gods, including the sun god, and saw death/ritual sacrifice as the way to meet the Sun God.
-Connecting to this— the sun god can be literally seen as “the sun in the sky.” In many statements, people have referred to there being a “path towards the sun”. This could turn around and be literal, meaning a way to reach the stars.
-People being able to fly, and travel into the stars, sounds absolutely insane to the people of the current OP world. This would garner the reactions luffy got from Ace, Sabo, and his crew. A really notable reaction was usopp.
-Usopp’s reaction. It wouldn’t really make sense for him to make this face:
In reaction to like… “the worlds biggest party” or something. And something like abolish the world gov.. that’s just not luffy like or childlike in the slightest. But what COULD garner this reaction?
Perhaps something like,
“After I become king of the seas.. I want to become the king of the skies!!” Or similar essence— I want to travel the sky and stars, etc. because usopp KNOWS he is getting dragged along with this crazy ass shit. And so he’s nervous. But then we also see franky say that the idea is great. Franky LITERALLY made a flying ship, maybe the idea doesn’t sound too crazy to him, but just hilarious.
It’s silly, childish— it sounds a bit like he’s just trying to goofily “one-up” his other dream with something crazier, the way a child would. But the he MEANS it, in the way that he wants to literally travel the clouds, the stars, and maybe even to the moon/planets.
Maybe it means absolutely nothing, but every time luffy looks at the horizon he is looking at the sky AND the sea—and there are MANY other shots, that I can recall or could include, of luffy looking at the stars/sky/sun/horizon/moon… and so on. Even in many shots when he lays on his back looking up, he is in a common pose for star/cloud gazing.
-thematically, based on recent manga chapters, it would also make sense for luffy to become the “king of the sky”, and may LITERALLY require him to defeat many of the remaining enemies. We know from past chapters that the one piece solar system is actually geocentric:
If luffy wants to pursue the second half of his dream, perhaps the only thing (person) that will appear to counter his efforts in this would be Imu, the five elder stars (also can be read as planets), and the WG. Many theorists have been stating for a long time that imu represents the “sea”, Mother Nature, even earth or the goddess Gaia herself. While obviously luffy wouldn’t really know or think about such complicated things, it would make these people the natural enemy of his dream. They may challenge him seeing HIS dream (or presumed dream, to be the same as Joyboy’s) as a threat.
It could be that their defeat could literally upend the solar system from geocentric to heliocentric as maybe there would be no force drawing the planets to rotate around the earth—or maybe, they were never like this in the first place, and such an understanding/discovery was snuffed out much like how it was in our own global history.
-If this IS true and the actual placement of the planets, moons, and the way the world rotated and around what was information being suppressed, it would also inhibit people like luffy who would want to travel the entire sky/stars. Since it would completely change the ideas of where these places actually were, making it even more impossible to travel to them.
Also I think that my theory could actually fit in kind of nicely with some of the other theories in here? Being the “how does luffy & his dream fit into all of this”
@dapper agate Seems like your theory depends heavily on the color wheel and Arashi/Furiko having blue hair, which is unknown at this time. Is there any in-story evidence hinting at Sora’s family being a part of a thieving bandit group in any way? In this channel, we ask people to provide in-story evidence/reasoning to support their theories. Otherwise, please feel free to make shorter predictions/theories/ideas like that in #manga or #manga-serious where it’s not as strict.
@rapid surge
@fallow gale amazing theory drafted correctly with the right images, it was a good read for me.
Thank you.

There’s two parts @vast echo
?
He wanted to see your theory
do u guys think BB has conquerors haki
He has to or he’d be no diff’d
ehhh, 2 top tier awakened DF's might be good enough to fight off adv conq but i agree that he does have it
No. With acoc and ryou people literally can’t breach your defenses with any devil fruit. Water or ganging up is the only way to win against it without haki.
true true but kaido was still hurting luffy even tho hes covered in conq and ryuo
Cuz he has acoc too
#manga-serious or we’re gonna get warned
ight we can talk there but I just wanted ppls opinions and theories on it
http://www.mythencyclopedia.com/Mi-Ni/Moon.html
I've been reading this article bout mythology and the moon, and the further I get into it, the more it convinces me that Imu is most likely the Moon God (moon controls waves in the ocean as well, so that ties in further into the whole Gaia/Mother of the Sea thing). Also, the first time we saw Imu, they were hanging with butterflies, which symbolize transformation in Native American culture (I believe the shandorians are meant to reference indigenous peoples...and a key aspect of shandorian identity was their relationship with the moon). In ancient times, the moon would also be used to measure the passing of time by observing the tansformation of the moon's cycles. It's a "constant alteration of birth and death, creation and destruction."
Parts of the article I found especially interesting:
"The Polynesian islanders of the Pacific Ocean said that the moon was a creator goddess...In ancient Persia*, the moon was Metra, the world mother."
"Native American names for the moon include the Old Woman Who Never Dies and the Eternal One."
"The Aztecs of Mexico called it [the moon] Mictecacuiatl and believed that it traveled through the night skies hunting out victims to consume." (The whole island eradicating ability that Imu's got)
"People once believed that moonlight had a powerful effect on human behavior. Those who acted strangely were said to be moonstruck [the term lunacy is also derived from luna]...The Japanese believed that the moon was a god with powers to foretell the future. "
I think Rayleigh knows Luffy's devil fruit isn't paramecia but zoan. It's kinda obvious that zoan awakenings have these weird clouds surrounding them. Luffy's gear 4 had the same clouds surrounding him. No other devil fruit type who had awakened didn't have that design.
if smoker awakens i am pretty sure he would have clouds everywhere u can call those cloud as smoke but still
what does that have to do with this? We've never seen a logia awakening, and we haven't seen a paramecia awakening with clouds , Bonchan has made a reasonable point
Yeah in retrospect it should seem obvious to everyone and their mum that the cloud-like stuff that showed up in G4 variants was sus. But Oda kinda has to make characters play dumb with us
yh ray knows everthing man found 1peice
Ray might also know few things abt Joyboy cuz one piece is Joyboy's treasure. Maybe, he knows abt the hito hito no mi model nika devil fruit too. I mean he literally trained a guy who weirdly transforms into gear 4 which no one has ever done such weird form lmao
yh he prob does bc of real ponegram I belive its on laigh tale
!theories @vague cobalt please keep shorter thoughts/predictions in #manga . This channel’s for discussions on longer theories like the ones pinned.

I dont get it wand did i do?
Your one-line Kid prediction and Buggy predictions aren’t appropriate here. Theories in this channel here need a good amount of evidence/reasoning to support it
oh sorry im new
Your replies to the Rayleigh discussion was fine, I’m just focusing on those predictions. No worries man
oh ok thanks
I feel like One Piece, the series, is lot more surreal than we might understand. It's a post-apocalyptic environment where the current world is only ~800 years old. Even before the revelations in Egghead, I've always felt something was off from this world. We have time travel, cyborgs, aliens, magic (devil fruits in a way) etc that's beyond real life comprehension and I can't help wonder how technologically advanced the ancient kingdom was. I feel like they were space explorers, or at least reached the moon(s), and had knowledge that we irl don't have today. Like, Devil Fruits are magical items that are born from the desires of humans, but to recreate them requires tech beyond our understanding of how things work. Turning peolle into stone or creating weapons out of your body or whatever tf Kuma does, it's almost reality warping science, because how does that stuff even work on an atomic level? Being able to repel intangible concepts such as memories. The ancient kingdom was far more advanced than we think if Vegapunk was able to recreate these things with the science left behind from the AK. But it also kind makes me think of the real world and how there are conspiracies that keep us in the dark about the true nature of our world. The gorosei and Morgans both write the news in a way to tell a story, and I can't help but think this happens irl. My focus on One Piece is learning the lore, and I hope it's as deep as I think it is.
Tl;dr the ancient kingdom had reality warping technology in order for Vegapunk and Co to recreate devil fruits
I believe Luffy will not fight bb alone, I think Koby will join in the fight. If Koby joins in the fight, the fight will be paralleling the God Valley incident. Koby will parallel a young Garp, Garp will probably be long gone by the time this fight happens. Luffy will parallel Roger, and bb will parallel Xebec. Bb will probably be at the same power level Xebec was at because bb will probably obtain another DF. Oda implementing the God Valley incident into the story could be foreshadowing this fight, and Koby changing the world has been foreshadowed since Marineford. This fight will be the new generation’s god valley incident, and it will probably fully establish the new generation.
i think that koby would fit there, but the problem is how he would go from BB fodder to luffy's level so fast?
He would probably get a power up from Garp’s death
It’s been shown that that’s not how powerups work in this world
Nami father was a roger pirate named Spencer he is still around but he’s been in disguised this whole time.
What is nami real birth name ?
I think it’s Morgans umi.
Who would die if any among the strawhat crew?
My theory is that it would be Usopp post-Elbaf, He will be recognized as a great warrior of the sea by the giants who he met which made this his dream, thus fulfilling his personal arc.
And if shanks crew is still there he would meet his father as well.
Also due to the fact that his abilities at the moment doesn't have much to evolve in, and the others does, especially the later characters who we might not have enough story about to be too invested in (brook or jinbei)
What role would usopp possibly fulfill post-elbaf otherwise?
He had his "shot" with Sugar
His haki can see through walls
Conquerors shot? would that even be that special by now?
His death would also come as an immense chock to us readers and wouldnt that be very typically Oda?
Thoughts please?! o:
Makes sense
I think killing off one of the straw hats would be a very good plot moment and definitely sounds like oda
Thanks
yes Usopp gotta go
Agreed
Also agreed
Agreed
What is it u guyz think that imu had Vivi poster
Is she someone important
Do i guys think she will join strawhat again
@slim slate that’s not really a fit for this channel. Just post that in #manga or #also-manga
One thing that i don't see a lot of people mentioning is what might be the intentions of the traitor. Especially with the reveal of the cipher-pol agents being trapped in the cells with Vegapunks main body Stella.
One thing i found peculiar about the cipher-pol agents is they are the only ones that actually deal with the stuff from the void century. Even on Ohara when clover was shot while he was talking about the ancient kingdom , the only govt agents that were present were the cipher-pol agents (cipher-pol 5). None of the admirals or the navy were present. We know that the ciper-pol are directly under the celestial dragons and they don't answer to the marines. And they have a higher class of clearance for the intel they are made aware of. Even Spandam knew about the existence of plutons blue print , which should be top secret.
Now lets get to egghead. The traitor leaks the info that the poneglyphs are being researched by Vegapunks. The 5 elders don't send marines (according to their wish to keep the info just to cipher-pol ),they sent cipher-pol 5 agents. They don't come back , they send cipher-pol 7 , then 8 and finally cipher-pol zero . Keep in mind since none of them came back no one could actually confirm what Vegapunk was doing. If the traitor wanted to work with govt he wouldn't have interfered with the cipher-pol agents.
Saturn is leaving for egghead (there is nobody else with clearance to send). Initially when i read that part, i assumed it was because the straw hats were there. But on re-reading it seemed like he was already heading there anyway. Akainu asks about the whereabouts of Kizaru (He didn't give an order to send kizaru to go egghead, as if he was late for the already planned excursion). It seemed to me like the time when Sabos call was intercepted by the govt and the goresi made a remark about Loulusia "One of the nations of the 8 nation revolution". And they also said "What an unfortunate man". As if Loulusia was already about to be destroyed anyway and he happened to be there. We don't have confirmation if that attack was just to squash Sabo. Also during the reverie or prior to it , one of the 5 elders (Oldman Gandhi with his katana) made a remark that "The world needed a culling".
Getting back to my point What if the traitors intentions are to get one of the 5 elders to get to egghead?
The traitors goal. Now what could the traitor do if he got one of the 5 elders. It isn't really hard to imagine Vegapunk being able to capture Saturn(initially it was just kizaru and a fleet that were moving to egghead). If the seraphim are not following the hierarchy of control that were shown to us and if the true command really starts on the traitor they could possibly take on Kizaru and the fleet.
We know that all the vegapunks have the information about poneglyphs and have continued the research of the people of Ohara. I think it is safe to assume Vegapunks more or less have an idea about the Void century and the ancient kingdom. Now this is where it could lead to things vegapunk might have found out about while doing the research. What is the story of the world govt from their perspective (remember the poneglyphs are the stories of the ones who lost , just the half of it) or it could be regarding the ancient fuel which is vegapunks dream. This is why it is so important that they stay on Egghead till Saturn is captured or arrives. Because Kuma (And probably S-bear as well) has the ability to take out memories from people. Why was Stella so interested in the possibility of taking out memory? I don't think its just for the whether its possible or is not kind of thing. This also explains why Stella could suspect anything even if all their brains are connected and synced everyday (either the traitor could command S-bear to take away the memories of their plans before the sync and add it again or just remove the memory from Stella)
The traitor (or traitors) is actually working toward vegapunks goal of either complete knowledge or towards the ancient fuel. The traitors could be either all the clones of the vegapunk (or could be edison (wisdom), pythogoras (idea) and shaka (logic). I am guessing all of them are in the loop, (or it could even be the brain the punk records)since they were all just really concerned about Stella getting aboard the straw hat ship. Even tho Usopp asks if all 7 are coming none of them directly answer it. In the last chapter Shaka even tells Luffy something along the lines of "as long as Stella is taken away by Straw hats it's all fine". It is also worth mentioning that the cipher-pol agents are kept alive and not just straight up killed off (which is on track with vega punks ideals (he did win the ibell prize for peace , gunpowder flowers and all). Why keep the info from Stella then? Because he is a peace loving compassionate man. The traitor knows that the only one possibly making out of all this just Stella. Even when Stella is ready to leave, he asks for passage for all seven. He wouldnt be willing to sacrifice the other vegapunks for this (which also explains why he was very sad about kumas ordeal)
Now who are the shadowy figures in the cams. Straw hats coming to egg head was a pure coincidence (luck of the straws). We know Vegapunk has worked under immoral people before like the loan shark man. What if the original plan was for Stella to take shelter with Blackbeard (Laffitte was not with any of them). Even tho we know that straw hats or shanks are really powerful or good, it was remarked by number of a characters that Blackbeard was the one to keep an eye on, that he was the one actually making moves. But now with Luffy arriving on Egghead and the reveal of him being Nika, the plan was changed to make Stella go with Luffy instead.
I agree
I think that the one piece is the missing eye in jaya I believe it moved somehow kind of like sky pia. I think joy boy was trying to deliver eye to someone and had a funny story thus why roger called it laugh tale. I think imu formed the world government with world Nobels to stop joy boy who might be the ex king of the futuristic land. Since the land was so modern and smart a bunch of kingdoms came together to stop him but why did they need to stop him? I don't think he would do bad stuff because oda would not make the first pirate king evil. I think Imu wanted power and convinced people to join him, after he defeated joy boy he erased him from history because Imu was the one who was evil. When sabo found Imu, imu immediately tried to kill him, when he could've used that attack on someone more dangerous like kiado or dragon. Imu doesn't want the truth to come out so he kills anyone who sees him except the great elders. I believe imu isn't that strong like buggy he just has command over a strong army, that's why he doesn't want anyone to know about him or he might die. I think he has a powerful ability but is only able to use in every once in a while like when he tried to kill sabo.
After all he is a celestial

maybe this is a stretch but what if Imu has smth to do with the emu bird (it's got red eyes too lol)...
"The Emu in the Sky is a well-known Aboriginal Astronomical constellation" as well which ties into the whole planets and sun and moon aspect of the naming conventions oda comes up with
As an Australian myself, I can actually see what your saying
bro it was a joke as smoker has smoke powers which looks like clouds

valid point, why can't I tag you? I think you had great reasons and evidence but cant tag you bc I would, are you banned?
I think so
aha bad for him
Mmm
@sturdy cove please ask questions like that in #manga-serious
before the luffy mythical zoan reaveal
did anyone else think it was gonna be some sort of mythical resin logia? That's what was in my mind, like sap from the Adam or Eve trees with special properties. Looking back on it Sungod made the most sense with gear 4's design and also parts of gear 2 and 3. But yeah I was always a big believer of Luffy's rubber fruit being partially a logia.
great theory
Expanding on the theory I mentioned , Blackbeard doesn't even need to be working with Vegapunk for this. He has pudding (i thought it was just for the poneglyphs) now and she can edit the memories of people take em out and plant them in others. This would also eliminate the need for Pudding to actually cooperate with Blackbeard (He can take her fruit) One thing that really bothered me was how Moria escaped from marineford. But if you consider Absolm was present there he could have just made him vanish and since doflamingo couldn't sense him it would seem like that fruit does more than just being invisible. And then why was Sanji able to kick him even when he was invisible? Has got to do with Luffy sensing reighleys emotions for the no-hit haki run during his training. This could explain how Shireyu and Laffite (probably also using the Van Augers warp fruit)could have easily infiltrate Egghead (Even the barrier )even tho it is highly monitored.
Caribou
No, I mean it's a possibility, but the way that the Cipher pol agents have been going missing before the SH crew came and also the very way that the mysterious traitor is doing stuff, I can't really see Caribou being the cause
I mean the traitor could be partnering with caribou but Idk
But yeah that's my opinion
Blackbeard and Co, including Shiryu, were shown during Wano fighting Moriah and stuff, and Wano took place like maybe a weekish ago in-universe. The traitor has been doing this for literal months. It's definitely not blackbeard pirates
A littlw off topic , i just saw a clip of Sabo vs Burguess in Dressrosa, Burguess was surprised and had no idea that Sabo had replaced Luffy in the Coloseum. That leads me to believe that he knows something: that the people of D can withstand more than one DF like Teach does . According to Vegapunk DF powers come from imagination, and Teach has always had some "dream" mention in almost every dialogue or monologue we've seen . D is for Devil/Dreamers , and they are related to the creation of DF .
Tbh we have never seen someone eat 2 fruits and have adverse effects. It could be all poppy cock at this point
guys, i'm new here.. and this might have already been discussed.. but does anyone think that blackbeard captured Coby to lure Garp to him? And now that he has pudding in his captivity as well, blackbeard might be planning to extract the memories of Garp for the rock valley incident? Get to know what really happened to rocks?
Yeah, some people do and it makes sense. Btw for shorter ideas/theories like that, you're probably better off bringing it up in #manga-serious
thanks @steady prism I'll bring it up there.
I think that the one piece is FAKE
Because the one piece might be luffy’s Nika fruit but he is so stupid to use it correctly and the reason roger laughed is cause there was a poniglief at laughtale that was saying that shanks will give away 50% of his powers to an unmeaningless kid and then this kid becomes better that gold roger and was given his powers by joy boy i know it makes no since and it is 0% of happening but i had that in mind for a long while rn
This is so baseless bruh, why would the poneplygph in joyboy era said shanks will give his power to Luffy, in what way anyway 😂

@timber onyx @storm patrol please take questions to #manga or #manga-serious
@lyric magnet @long berry this goes to you too. That convo isn’t pertaining to any theory mentioned above. Please read the channel’s description.
Guys how about this for a traitor theory. What if the traitor is the brain, stored in Punk Records? Like, a part of this huge brain took on a mind of its own and is rebelling against VP, acting independently. It could then be controlling each Satellite at a different time. Meaning it is ALL of the suspects, just not all the time.
This is being discussed in #manga-serious and is an idea others have had as well. But this channel is for really long theories like the pins, so please discuss there instead
Kinda dumb ngl, if thats the case then its not considered a traitor its a whole new character, a traitor is someone we know who turned against us, a brain that took a mind of its own is like a new character who’s an evil vegapunk
The Ktok sound effect (credit to Tekking on that one). The mysterious shape with only darkness and eyes visible. The Gorosei appearing. The culprit having ultimate control over the Seraphim despite nobody else being able to do so, with Saturn not even arriving yet. We know Imu has access to great technology, likely even greater than Vegapunks already existing teleportation device. Plus my theory that Imu is an AI created by the Ancient Kingdom, linking them to Egghead
I guess we... should've put it together sooner
wait what so its been Imu all along?
Oda has repeatedly stated that the one piece is real
ktok is literally just a sound effect for footsteps, it has been used other times on other characters...
Yeah its more of a fun idea than something I genuinely believe in, but the Ktok being brought up is what sparked the idea so I wasnt gonna leave it out
You know what would be crazy? If S-Flamingo had a place in the command hierarchy and could issue himself orders that override Vegapunk's because he has Celestial Dragon DNA just like the Gorosei. The way Shaka was shot seems eerily similar to how the real Doffy killed his father.
I feel like we haven't seen enough from Imu to justify him getting so deeply involved in the story when the Gorosei themselves are only just beginning to move
@mortal lotus One thing that is all common for blackbeard titanic captains that he added excluding the initial members is that they all killed or had to critically wound people they knew to join his crew. Magellan should have been critically wounded by shiriyu since he is not the warden anymore. All the others had to kill their cellmates who they have known for sometime. Aokiji seems to be favoured by Sengoku and possibly Garp (since Sengoku and Garp are good friends). And Aokiji was chillin on Garps ship post Eneis Lobby. Kuzan might even admire or respect Garp to a lot of degree. What if Blackbeard indents to test Kuzan by making him Kill Garp to make him the 10th titantic captain? Or it could be that Laffitte could have infiltrated the marines (Remember when he casually introduced himself in marijois in the meeting of shibukai )and might have found about Sword and know that Koby and Drake (Appoo is the biggest snitch) is a member. If Blackbeard knows about the existence of Sword it would be natural to suspect Aokiji to be Sword spy. Kuzan killing Koby should also serve for Blackbeard to accept Aokiji as the 10th titanic captain. Blackbeard really wants people that have the will power do anything for him.
That sounds very dumb, why would the entire crew laugh there ars of and say Joyboy I wish I was in your era?????
Damn it. This is worse than the time when I wanted Haku to be a member of the Straw Hat crew!
||Shaka you were supposed to be the villain not die by one!||
So here's who shot Shaka:
||Caribou. In chapter 1060 we can see Caribou on the ship, still. He has a muddy fruit we can see being used in chapter 1075 before cameras are taken down. He has access to guns, and he technically is in egghead. Why would he kill Shaka? No clue. But I bet is him.||
- when shaka was getting shot we have confirmed seen that the shooter was either very tall or somewhere high. that someone also used an old gun so imo i think a tall candidate for this case is imu.
- then a sound called ktok ktok (thanks to @random barn i got the pictures) was heard in the place where shaka was shot. it was also heard when imu was seen in an old chapter and i think it was not anywhere else ever heard. that is why i think its imu.
The person who shot shaka was none other than van augur from far away
Holy fuck it might actually be Imu, insane find
But how could he get there so fast? Maybe Blueno helping Imu with his devil fruit?
Something feels off about Stussy - I think Stussy is the traitor/working with the traitor. Sorry, this'll be a little long.
First, let's establish her actions so far this arc:
The very first thing we see is her "reprimanding" Lucci for questioning the WG's orders. (Ch1062)
Then she points out features of egghead while Kaku interacts with things. (Ch1068)
- Quote "Don't take the world's greatest scientist lightly"
- She also points out Atlas as one of the vegapunks to Lucci
Next chapter, once she sees Luffy, she's the one that informs the marines (or rather gives the order to inform the marines)(Ch1069) - She then points out to Kaku that they're at a disadvantage against Sentomaru
I'll take a break from the Stussy play-by-play and mention a couple of other things at this point for chapter 1070
- Stussy once again affirms that they need to wait for the marines
- It's clear that they've successfully contacted the marines, and specifically Kizaru's ship
- And we also know that Saint Jaygarcia is on the same ship as Kizaru
- Kizaru mentions that events may not play out as planned for Vegapunk
Here's a question to dwell on for a second:
CP0 takes orders directly from the celestial dragons/5 elders. Why are they contacting the marines?
The provided answer is 'fighting an emperor can lead to war, and the marines handle war'.
Remember, Stussy is the one that suggests it/puts it into action - and this info goes to Kizaru/Saint Jaygarcia.
So does she know that he's on his way?
Imu's a short motherfucker though, notice how the hands are actually very low
Back to the play-by-play:
Stussy confirms, after essentially three warnings, that Lucci is not going to listen to the navy (ch1071)
This is also when Vegapunk requests help from the mysterious stranger
The barrier goes down, and Stussy reacts with a "?"
Next chapter (ch1072), stussy reveals herself as a traitor to CP0 and is captioned "MADS clone experiment, successful subject #1 Stussy"
Then she takes out Lucci with the quote "I'm not stupid enough to fight fair against men as powerful as you two" (ch1073)
- Now, here's something very important to note. Stussy reports that she's put the two to sleep, and it is not vegapunk that receives that news. It is Atlas (#04) shown reacting first, then everyone else.
- Shaka says she's been on their side for two decades.
- Stussy then says that her and Lucci are on the same authority level and can't override his orders. Note again, "says". She doesn't attempt to give an order.
- When one of the Stella bodies (it's unclear who, but either #1 or #4) says they're going to escape the island, he invites Stussy, who just replies with "Understood".
Next She gets changed and offers to search (and is joined by Sanji). (ch1074)
- I also just noticed that this is when those footstep sounds are first heard by #4, who is searching for the Stella. Turns around, goes "Hmm? Ah. !!!"
Then post-explosion (ch1075) we see the shadowy figure and once again the footstep noises. - We see Stussy with Jimbe and Sanji
- And we see Pythagoras (#4) as just a head...
- ... Who just came from the same direction that S-snake comes from... And says "She won't listen to orders!" rather unconcerned... after Lilith #2 tries to stop her
Then in the latest chapter, we see everyone else (Franky, Usopp, Lilith #2) turn to stone, but not Pythagoras #4...
Well, anyway, with all of this out of the way here are my theories:
#1 - There is more than one Stussy, and they're working together to eliminate Vegapunk
- We see Stussy is listed as successful subject #1 - but why couldn't there be a #2 or more? Alternatively, she is listed as a "successful" subject - what about unsuccessful subjects? If Vegapunk though that Momo's devil fruit was unsuccessful because it was a pink
dragon, I can imagine a Stussy "failure" being pretty much successful with a minor defect. Additionally, Succubi in mythology are known to be able to shape shift. What if the Stussy we see IS the failure, and is covering up the imperfections with use of her fruit? - I also noticed that she doesn't react when Sanji points out she was at Big Mom's tea party, was that not "her" but a different clone of her? "Come on, you big silly"
#2 - The footsteps we hear are one of the Stussy's. It's been pointed out that it is a generic footstep sound, but it's also used frequently for the footsteps of people wearing heels. Stussy came to the island wearing heels (and in previous appearances also wore heels).
#3 - Shaka says that she's been their side for two decades - or so they think. They're wondering who their leaker is, who better than someone they thought was a spy for them, but was actually a double agent. She's been to the island before, is well aquainted with the systems, so it stands to reason that she also about all the ancient kingdom technology here.
#4 - She is receiving orders directly from the 5 Elders, and is the most loyal. If they are able to contact Kizaru, it makes sense that they can contact them right back. If Jaygarcia is with Kizaru, then he can theoretically give her direct orders as well. It may explain why she was so eager to contact the marines, because she knew that Jaygarcia would get an update and relay new orders to her.
- I also believe that she's reported Lucci's questioning of their orders and disobeying as well. It's not like the Elders aren't willing to sacrifice CP0 agents, and one questioning their orders isn't long for the world.
-
- As a minor aside, and a potential theory (though I'm less convinced on this one) if all the other clones we know of - the pacifistas and seraphim - have a command heirachy, why not Stussy, who is also a clone? (Like I said, I'm less convinced on this one)
#5 - The silhouette we see is Stussy - It's a bit of a reach, but it looks a bit like her CP0 mask. Oda does like silhouette shenanigans.
#6 - Stussy was originally just going to go along with the original plan, but after the Straw Hats appeared, she had to go more covert (see her pointing out Atlas at first before they saw Luffy, and her more passive actions afterwards). Remember: "I'm not stupid enough to fight fair against men as powerful as you two"
As an aside, while rereading the chapters, I do find Pythagoras #4 a bit suss. If he's the traitor, it explains why the other punks can't override his orders.
TLDR; Stussy is Sussy.
Also, sorry for the long post
The big hole in my theory is: How would Stussy control the Seraphim without getting overridden by the Vegapunks?
There are two possible answers - a Pythagoras #4 x Stussy traitor combination where Pythagoras controls the Seraphim, and Stussy(s) does the killing.
- A subversion to the command hierarchy. E.g. the 5 Elders gave a command to the Seraphim to "follow the heirachy, but Stussy's commands are to be followed above Vegapunk's". That obviously comes with a large (yet) unprovable assumption, but it is strange that we've never seen Stussy give an order to the Seraphim; because if she had (if my theory is correct), it would give the game away that she has priority.
not anywhere else ever heard
Extremely falsethis sfx signifies heavy footsteps and is present throughout One Piece and especially Egghead, notably for people wearing Dom shoes
(#manga-serious message)
The coldness of the room containing the giant straw hat seems related to how Oda explained the energy emitted from Brook's soul remaining in the real world.
Vegapunk will be turned into a devil fruit
Since Vegapunk is in a glass box of the underground devilfruit research lab right now his dream could be made into reality by converting him into a devilfruit ... his dream is more valuable than his live now, since he knows to much
- In chapter 1068 Vegapunk states his dream clearly
A world in which energy is abundant available and free to everyone around the globe
- here we can clearly hear his dream of infinite power and connection
- But in chapter 1069 Vegapunk also states:
Devilfruits are the potential of human evolution that humanity wished for. "Oh would it not be nice if I was like that .. Would it not be great if I was like this."
- so it is clearly hinted at it is possible to turn dreams into devilfruits directly a chapter after Vegapunk states his dream.
- coincidently he is restrained in the devilfruit research lab in the basement of egghead, where he is kept like a guinea pig inside a glass container, prefect to experiment on his person/dream/soul
- the goal of the intruder could be to convert Vegapunk into a devilfruit, because it would mean infinite energy / infinite power since Vegapunk arguably has the biggest dream out there
- Vegapunk did not manage to create Logia devilfruits, maybe because their creation requires the human sacrifice of someone with that dream (and maybe even multiple more human sacrifices like the CP-5/7/8 agents contained in the other glass containers) a step even Vegapunk did not want to go.
- since Kaido was a Zoan his lineage factor sufficed to create the devilfruit but VP did not manage to create Logia Devilfruits yet ... here we could witness the first brutal reality of their creation
I just like this for the fact that Caribou is mentioned.
This completely ignores the fact that we know the traitor has been at egghead snagging cipher pol for months (and also that Caribou hasn't been shown to be competent like this lol)
It seems that whoever had taken Stella did not show their face when they kidnapped him while Bonney is in the memory bubble. Stella doesnt recognize the individual who shot Shaka. The ktok sound is made in other panels, meaning that its probably someone wearing the same type of Vegapunk shoes?
It also doesnt help that we know that people can change their faces
and that there are places where you can get clothes
nice idea.. He might suspect Aokiji of being a spy for sure; i dont expect BB to trust people blindly. I don't know about having him kill koby though just to make him the 10th titanic captain.
I'm thinking it's Bon Clay or someone with his devil fruit
i still think its lucci's bird
Here is my theory for the Egg Head Killer. This was originally posted in #manga-serious but I am locked in on this and want to officially share it as a theory.
First, let me rule out some suspects. Whoever it is would have to be either on Egg Head for the last 2 months or able to come and go without being detected. This rules out pretty much every character we have seen elsewhere ever since the timeskip. We also know that they have been capturing Cypher Pol agents and CP0 were not aware of them. This rules out World Government people from suspicion.
I don't know where the idea of Punk Records itself being responsible. From what was explained to us by Vegapunk, Punk Records is essentially the brain of Vegapunk. It does not make any sense for the Stella's own brain to have its own motivations that are separate from Stella himself, because that's not how brains work. Punk Records is not some AI computer system thing. If it went rogue, Stella himself would be rogue.
Now for the theory.. Suppose there are Seraphim for the other original shichibukai, there would be at least S-Croc, S-Flamingo, and S-Gecko.
We know that S-Croc wouldn't have a logia power, so instead he could have the copy copy ability or some other power that could make him appear to be Vegapunk. If S-Croc were to either go rogue on his own or by the order of an outsider, he could order all the other Seraphim.
This would be pretty cool because it would put all the previous arc antagonist Seraphim together as the culprits. I think a likely suspect in the death of Shaka is S-Flamingo as many have pointed out how he would have a gun. S-Gecko taking out the den den mushi surveillance with his Shadow power would also make sense. We also know whoever let CP0 inside were not seen by the camera. This could be due to it being a shadow.
One thing people are discussing is regarding Stella possibly seeing Shaka's shooter and not recognizing them. There are some options. 1. It looks like there is a darkness covering the staircase. That could be due to S-Gecko keeping them a secret. 2. He maybe just couldn't get a good look at who it was. It isn't explicitly clear if he could see their identity.
So who is actually the person responsible? I think it is either the Seraphim themselves, or some previously unrevealed character.
Are you arguing that the Seraphim are rebelling as a group of their own volition ? If not, why are the Seraphim attacking ?
Read a theory about Luffy going back 900 years in the past. I seriously think that’s plausible. Besides I can see Luffy giving his hat to someone in the past so it can be full circle ⭕️. That explains lot of things retrospectively or not. And laugh tale can be the one piece we read.
My idea is either someone commanded one of the Seraphim to command the others, or one of the seraphim commanded the others by their own will.
The traitor must be one of vegapunk. That would be the most interesting thing to do.
Well in that case there is still a "traitor" figure to be uncovered. Someone with the ability to command the Seraphim, etc. S-Flamingo and the others being involved is a possibility but it doesn't really change anything ?
Looking more and more right
We have strict rules in this channel, so anything that does not fit within those rules gets deleted.
gatcha, didnt see the channel info thing at the top
Yeah I'm really starting to buy into this
Trying to look at the 6 traits from the known Satellites and figure out what other trait could be missing
I'm not sure what the word for it is, but VP has been very clear in his expression of "progress is all that matters. Sometimes you do some bad things to reach it, but it is justified as long as you are working towards a noble goal". He basically does not mind the idea of harming people for scientific gain. Human testing and whatnot are just not bad things to him. I am not sure what that could be described as, but it would be a great fit for a saboteur, since right now it looks like there isn't a specific faction they are trying to eliminate. And the decision to capture Stella but shoot Shakka straight in the head is also interesting. If the only objective was to kill everyone on the island, the seraphim would be operating very differently.
I think this darker side to VP could conclude it makes sense to do all these things for the sake of progress, but it isn't clear what that would be.
This all feels very much like someone is working towards a grand finale where they take something from Egghead or use something from Egghead or something. There's just so much going on its hard to wrap my head around it.
This is SO good. Drive, determination ? Pragmatism ?
People have been trying to pin this trait on Edison, or Shaka, or Lilith (that was me) to justify them being the traitor. But the reality is none of the Satellites have displayed it.
Obsession. I think that's the ticket
Obsessiveness is largely what drives folks like VP, and I have met plenty of them throughout my career. Oda does an amazing job at writing characters with complete, consistent personalities. It might just be that my life experiences have landed me next to a lot of people similar to VP, but I feel like Oda does his best job at capturing character culture in scientist/engineer characters. He captures the intricacies of how they think super abnormally well. The obsessiveness intoxication that many people in my line of work experience is very well portrayed by VP. I think it all just comes down to obsessiveness.
I am very into this
We can assume that the lot of them as a whole are supposed to encompass the entire personality of Vegapunk, since some of them have negative traits. So it's not a stretch at all to suggest the existence of this Satellite.
Now if this Obsession Satellite exists, why would they be doing all this ? Stop Vegapunk from leaving I can understand, but how do they benefit from leaking the illegal research to the WG ? And from taking out the other Satellites?
If this satellite expresses the general idea of "all that matters is progress towards the ultimate goal, unlimited energy and knowledge for the whole planet. Any sacrifice towards that is worth it", its possible the current situation regarding Egghead could be considered critically inefficient. The labs that VP has to hide from the WG, the insufficient resources, needing to focus on seraphim and other WG pet projects, and everything else that goes along with being subservient to the Gorosei are all reasons to want to fight for a better situation.
For someone as smart as VP, I think one of the reasons this could still be a satellite is that every single event so far could have been predicted/calculated to be exactly so. After so and so many agents go missing, this or that will happen. If someone tells the WG this or that, this will happen. As is the case with most things, the presence of the straw hats may be the one variable they did not account for. Or its also possible they have some sort of ability to know what is going on out in the world beyond the news paper and even the straw hats are a part of the calculation.
But this is my long way of saying it is possible that Kizaru and Saturn traveling to egghead is exactly the goal of this entire situation. And it makes sense why a satellite would need to keep Stella alive if they still intend to use VP's brain and their devil fruit. But I can't explain keeping the agents alive.
This could all essentially be a satellite's way of getting unlimited resources and freedom to conduct their work. Maybe they decided all the barriers need to finally just get ripped apart so they can go bananas on research without any interference or limitations.
There are 2 main problems I have with this.
-
It has been stated that the 6 satellites together are a clone of Vegapunk's complete personality with each of the 6 having one major aspect apiece. The idea of a 7th satellite would contradict this.
-
Vegapunk's "progress is all that matters" is not something that I would consider to be separate from what Lilith is. Lilith represents Vegapunk's evil side; his willing to do evil things to get what he wants. This is essentially the same thing.
I have no problems with the existence of a secret Satellite because of memory manipulation being a thing. It's possible that everyone's memory of the secret Satellite have been wiped and they've been doing their thing in secret.
You are right that it feels entirely unlikely that there is an additional satellite based on what we have been told. I still think your theory makes the most sense right now, Yui. But I am basically just trying to entertain the thought and think of how it could be true. So basically this thought experiment is intentionally ignoring that we have been told there are no additional satellites.
Personally I see evil as distinct from the bad things people do when they are singularly focused on something else. I think it is fair to say people really do have a glimmer of evil in them, but I think that the personality trait I am describing in science folks is distinct from raw evil and is more of a unfortunate side effect of passion/obsession. So I will say that I think this theory is less likely than yours. But if it is possible for this to all be done by an unknown satellite, this is what I think makes the most sense.
It isn't that they are evil, its that they see this as a net positive result. If killing 20 people means creating a utopia society, that is clearly a huge net positive.
Salmy, you are right that memory manipulation could be a part of this, but at that point it feels more like thinking of ways to justify a conclusion rather than coming to a conclusion naturally. I can understand Yui wanting to remain entirely within what we have been told rather than allowing contradictions. But also you are right to point out memory manipulation may be possible since we know Pudding can do that.
I was referring to Kuma's power
If we want to predict One Piece we have to expect the unexpected. I don't think an 8th Satellite is out of the question at all. Same energy as the rogue brain theory, it seems impossible but is also something that could happen if it's what Oda has in mind.
I don't want to debate or make it into further discussion points so I will accept that we disagree regarding the evil aspect. Beyond the contradictions etc, I think it is a fun idea and would be interesting if Oda went that way.
yeah, totally fair
Quick thought, impostor on egg head is Blackbeards sniper
This channel is specifically only for long thoughts, but feel free to post quick thoughts in the other manga channels
I think it's likely that the cover story from 1077 is implying that Ceasar and Judge are the culprits behind what's going on in Egghead. My theory is based around the idea that the Germa Cover Story takes place before the Straw Hats who were on WCI make it to Wano.
I think they wanted to sneak into Egghead to confront Vegapunk, but fumbled their way into the old Devil Fruit lab in Labo Phase. Getting their hands on some of Vegapunk's technology, they now decided to play the long game.
Over their time there, I think they use what's left of King's Lineage Factor in order to make the ultimate Germa clone: a version of Sanji enhanced with a degree of Lunarian strength and durability.
The real Sanji went off with Stussy and Jinbe when the crew and Vegapunks split up to look for Stella. He wasn't with Nami, Brooke, and Edison.
The way Sanji's skin is shaded is evidence of this. His skin is shaded more similarly to S-Shark than it is to Nami. I also think the eyebrow switching might be a hint toward this as well.
I think this clone was the one snuffing out the surveillance Den Den Mushis on Judge's and Ceasar's orders so they could make their move and kidnapp the Stella. However, he saw Nami being attacked and was compelled to act, perhaps due to the influence of Sanji's Lineage Factor or a flaw from Judge's and Ceasar's work.
I'm unsure how Judge and Caeser could override the Seraphim chain of command. I'm also not sure why they would kidnap Cipher Pol agents.
The theory isn't perfect, but it was fun to cook up. Hope y'all like it!
The cover story depicts the moment in which they realize that Vegapunk is their true enemy. The cover story takes place after WCI. The killer has been doing their thing for 2 months which is long before WCI.
Van Augur? Wasn't he last seen at Winner Island with his crewmates (not all) fighting the Heart Pirates? He can teleport but don't think he can teleport literally anywhere he wants.
Don't you realise how much of a paradox it creates
Is this a person or a pipe ?
the way it's framed I just think that's something on the ceiling
Theory: I don’t think there’s a traitor, but that the BB pirates snuck onto Egghead
Reasons why there’s no traitor/world government betrayal
- Info on poneglyph research wasn’t leaked as all the cipher pol agents got locked up in jail so they couldn’t relay info to world government.
- Traitor can’t be in cahoots with world government because of this as well. If they were in cahoots the gorosei wouldn’t need to send in more Cipher agents. The gorosei ordered the death of VP since so many cipher agents got kidnapped, he assumed VP turned against the world government.
- Wouldn’t make sense for the readers - there’s no attachment to the readers for the satellites so the betrayal holds no emotional significance, stussy is how a betrayal of a character we shouldn’t care about gets typically handled by Oda, instantly. A big reveal over if it’s Shaka or Lilith or Edison won’t matter to the majority of readers, it’s not an interesting script. Oda could’ve let us in on who’s the traitor & let the situation play out if he planned something important with the satellites in the story.
BB pirates are currently the only yonkou pirate crew in the story with motive, means & no alibi
Why I think the invaders are the BB pirates
- The new chapters have shown the importance of the poneglyph to the current yonkous even more ( shanks & BB going after Law & Kid) (BB kidnapping pudding who could potentially read poneglyphs)
- VP deciphering the poneglyphs is big information as it carries over from Ohara, knowledge that the world government previously blew an island up for.
- The BB pirates abilities match the situation - Katarina Devon can transform into any of the VP’s & give the seraphim commands (Atlas also mentions she can change her face & shape whenever she wants in ch1074 to chopper)
- Katarina Devon hasn’t been seen since the Moria incident (not in whole cake, law fight or boa fight)
I think some BB pirates were transported inside by the one with the teleporting ability to bypass their sea robot security .
BB will get a lead on the knowledge of the void century before luffy if this is true, which holds major story weight
This one makes sense
Will Hancock and her tribe join the Revolutionary army now? Besides helping Luffy as much as she can, the Amazon's are under threat from the marines to arrest the Amazon pirates and have sent Pacifistas after her. Given that the pirate world outside of Luffys crew isn't safe due to Blackbeard wanting to harvest her powers, the Revolutionaries would be their best chance at survival and Hancock and, her family still have a vendetta against the World Nobles, add in the fact that she'd get to help Luffys dad. It seems highly likely.
What if vp was a prisoner on egg head island. Every time he tried to escape he would be stopped and have his memory erased so he would continue working.
van augur is involved in bb vs law, which I think should be happening parallely.
Damn.. Probably the most reliable theory yet..
So In the beggining of Egg Head we were shown that Holograms exist
Could that have something to do with Shakas death? Or One of the Stella’s being a hologram?
good theory
maybe that wemt to go downstairs was his hologram and his real body shot it, or he sent his hologram and he told the traitor to shoot it
shaka is likely dead or in need of repair, but the hologram theory is sold imo
- Stella is the main body, you mean the Satellites.
- Yes, the holograms could do anything, but for me, that is a serious issue. Theorizing about it is honestly just not worth your time because any event could "just be a hologram." Technically, there's nothing stopping Stella being locked up in jail from "being a secret hologram he setup to make himself appear to be innocent while he's actually in hiding". I find that hologram theories, unless there is actual evidence such as vanishing into thin air, aren't useful to analyze as it stands.
Do you have evidence for that because it sounds interesting

I feel like the BB pirates being involved would be disappointing. This arc has a large World Government focus so it would make more sense for the assassin to be from there. Though the BB pirates are the only strong string we have.
I find that very unlikely given that we've seen him go to Ohara and Punk Hazard and such over the years. He clearly has the ability to wander the world on his own under normal conditions, and how do you propose that they were erasing his specific memories anyways? Kuma certainly wouldn't've wanted to do that, and during the timeskip Kuma was at the Sunny
After watching the covers and seeing him hang out with other scientists who we know are evil, he must have done something he hated and wanted to forget.
I’d argue he made kuma into a cyborg he could have done it many times over. Just like kuma memory was stored away so could his be as well. Maybe even turned into a cyborg with that evil side inside.
ok so basically luffy might've not eaten the hito hito no mi model nika because when luffy eats it not only does he not know its a devil fruit but he also has to be told by shanks that its the gomu gomu no mi and because the hito hito no mi makes what you imagine reality he cant've imagined it because he didnt know it
i dont know how he got the nika fruit but he might've not eaten it originally also blackbeard ate 2 fruits and he was a d clan member so maybe luffy ate 2
that is not how the power works. Its just that awakening gives it significantly more capability. If it was omnipotence, the story would already be over
Sun God Nika is known for its rubber powers
It was never a paramecia, so it didn't turn anything into anything. It was a mythical Zoan ability where the user gets the properties of rubber and the ability to stretch freely. If you look at real rubber, it never stretches like Luffy's body does, so from the get go we either had to accept that this was just "silly rubber" from a fantasy world, or that there was an additional power on top of rubber. For most of the story we didn't really have a reason to believe it was anything but "silly rubber", but now it makes more sense.
I second this

Oda still needs to explain why Sun God has the power of rubber. What's the connection between Sun and Rubber?
Again it’s not rubber it’s being able to stretch freely
@plush pike @scarlet vapor i think youre overthinking. the fruit is the sungod fruit. the sungod has a rubber body, besides other powers. this isnt the first example of such thing (marco's fruit almost behaves like ace's fruit sometimes, although i dont quite remember if the fire can be used offensively). i say all this because luffy is immune to electricity, and that is directly tied to his rubber body.
I don't really understand how that contradicts anything I said. You're overthinking just as much as the rest of us :p
i couldnt tag 2 ppl - i mean, couldnt reply to 2 ppl
so i just tagged both ppl from the discussion
Alright I put up a comment over on the reddit, I believe it's dufeld for a few reasons. We have been reintroduced to Morgan's and stussy recently, out of the potential people who have connections with mads one of the story cover photos features du feld. If you watch the anime of his debut you can compare his face to the sillhoute of the person who took out the cameras. Circle eyes wobbly triangle head. Would probably have bank rolled some if not all the lab, would have been there for if that is the case, woukd know where the hidden lab is. Also isn't it weird the Cp agents are captured and not killed? I don't like how people are saying it's dofldmingl seraphim what. He went out to sea multiple times and just put them in jail randomally? It's doubtful he would want to work with the world gov. Why the Stella is still alive yet a vegapunk dies? One other thing to mention if we take wano out of the picture, there wasn't really enough time to fully introduce the underworld emperors. I think the "someone on egghead I can contact" was a red herring. We are in the last saga, I doubt we only get introduced to two of the 5 and that's it.
I can't post images but if someone wants to compare the anime image of his introduction with title and the silhouette would be cool, can't get the manga channel to budge, they still think it's s-doflamingo 🤦
Why are you ruling out Saturn? I can see even the dreadlocks in the silouette
Sure so I rule him out due to the dome opening and closing when cp arrived whilst he was heading to egghead with kuzan.
Anyways going to sleep, that's my theory
Kinda a half-baked crackpot theory, but what if devil fruits are alive? My idea is that certain individuals seem perfect for the fruit they ate, almost like it choose them. Further, what if awakening is achieved because the fruit was eaten by a compatable individual
A secondary aspect to this theory is what if devil fruits were made out of (like literally out of) some ancient race? I keep thinking how fruits have this "factor", or whatever they called it, just like DNA. So what if some race turned themselves/were turned into devil fruits as a form of reincarnation. With the hopes that a compatible individual would eat them and therefore complete the process. The reason copies of fruits are able to be made is literally because we are cloning people, not actual food. (It might also explain why it tastes so bad, they are literally human)
But why would dufeld have the control over seraphims?
Ok but no other zoan let’s you use the powers when not transformed even other mythical Zoans also what are the chances that shanks wouldn’t know the gum gum fruit is actually one of the best fruits in the series even if he lied his crew might know
Yeah doesn’t make sense why a sun god would be able to stretch
Also all other zoans mythical, ancient, or regular zoans let you immediately transform no other zoan makes you have to use a single ability of the thing you’re transforming into for 12 years of training (I assume Luffy was 7 when he ate the fruit) also if you want to make the argument that he was near death so he awakened it almost every arc he nearly dies
Luffy is always in his Zoan form
Marco and Yamato have used their powers without being transformed. It is a mythical zoan thing. You have a form but you also have other benefits in your default form.
Oh ok
Yeah you basically get a paramecia on top of your zoan
Ok but still why did it take him so long to be able to transform it doesn’t make sense
guys do you know about the swords and shield marine theory? like its divided into 2 groups (sword group and shield group)
but i mean his body transformed, his body behaves like rubber, thats what the hito hito no mi model Nika does
Marco uses the phoenix flames when not transformed into a bird tho. I think Shanks did know.
Marco's phoenix flame is basically just one ability, he coats himself in phoenix flames and it heals people it touches. All his attack are just variations that uses this one ability. Same with Luffy. His ability is rubber, and he uses it to stretch, become a balloon, pump his feet and hands so fast that he starts steaming, and make his bones expand by blowing into them etc.
Yeah but it’s weird that he can’t become nika it’s just a partial transformation which doesn’t make sense
We know that awakening seems to do something unique for the Nika. We know mythical zoans generally have a power by default and then have extra powers during a transformation. Since we are directly told the Nika has not awakened in hundreds of years, we are given indication that there is something unique about whatever sort of will it has as a zoan DF. We have incomplete/botched awakening examples in the Impel Down guards, and then other example of successful awakening of default zoan in Lucci which tells us the will of the fruit plays a role in awakening. And if the Nika fruit has a very specific, unique will, which has caused it to not awaken in hundreds of years, it makes sense that someone like Luffy, who has been shown to be an extremely unique individual in many ways, numerous times, it is reasonable for him to be unique enough to awaken it. Especially when we have learned a lot about who/what Nika is. They are very similar personalities.
Lucci appearing to have a "complete"/proper awakening, as evidenced by the clouds, is further indication that the intrinsic personality of the DF user needs to overlap/agree with the will of the fruit in some way. Leopards are hunters. Lucci has been a cold blooded killer who has lived for the thrill of killing since he was a young child. He is only a part of ciphor pol because he is able to kill people. He has no actual loyalties to anyone, he just lives his life by finding situations that let him be who he wants to be. When we compare this to a leopard, it supports the idea that awakening involves some level of similar personalities/will/soul
i think you just try to fit the fruit into a box but its a very special mythical fruit that you just cant completely put into the usual groups like the Mochi fruit for paramecias, in the end its a human fruit, maybe the transformation is just permanent into a gum human instead of having control over the transformation, maybe someone who is aware of having the fruit would have one, who knows
and dont get me wrong, i get it, trying to fit something into the constraints of a story makes sense and helps us understand it, but not everything can be and has to fit for it to make sense
Interesting
I guess it makes sense that it’s inconsistent since while yeah it being the nika fruit is foreshadowed i don’t think oda thought of it at the beginning of the series
It has to have been thought of somewhere around skypea where the foreshadowing of it began with references to sun god nika so before that Luffy probably canonically had the gum gum fruit
......I agree with Mohdoo
Lol, my message was addressing someone who asked if spoilers can be discussed in this channel
Ahh I thought it was in relation to something else. Sorry bout that
I feel like ussops gonna die around the end of one piece, his dream is to become a brave warrior of the sea so it makes sense if hes gonna die achieving that goal plus hes on the weaker side of the strawhats and non of the other ones are that disposable like him chonpers the medic and namis the navigator these are just examples of important crew mates and i love ussop but hes just the sniper this same theory could be said for others such as jinbe dying for his dream but i think ussops more likely.
franky will become the most useless if vegapunk joins luffy. though I think he should join revolutionary army for focused research.
Didn’t one of Oda’s editors say someone on the crew was gonna die?
personally i dont see anybody other than luffy and zoro dying
His theory was okay and honestly a better direction for the story, he just kept pushing it after we got so many wins and character moments. If the raid failed at that point we’d have to do all of that again.

@pure raven could you please provide any in-story evidence/reasoning or even any historical/Nordic references to support why you think Ussop dies? I don’t see how him being “weaker” and “disposable” means he’ll die. If this is more of a prediction that you think will happen, then perhaps it’s better you bring it up ion #manga or #manga-serious

anyone wana discuss the rocks clone theory?
What exactly is the theory about it? Is there somebody in particular that is meant to be a clone of Rocks, such as Teach?
no its that all his pirates were cloned
like weevil is like a failed whitebeard stussy is well stussy bonney is big mom etc etc
Yeah that is an interesting theory, though what about Kaido?
this is gona sound like im nuts but we dont KNOW who yamatos mom is :)
@rough tundra you’re welcome to write up a theory about it, describe those parallels, and how they tie in to the current timeline. But just extrapolating from Stussy and Weevil and/or using colors to match people up isn’t enough proof. On the other hand, if you just want to discuss who’s a clone of who and/or who Yamato’s mother is, you’re better off taking this discussion to #manga-serious
i meant bonney because they both have pink hair and bad food habits
Yeah, i see where you’re going but it’s just a similarity that’s not hard evidence. If you could find a way to ground it using something in-story that’s more concrete (like the current timeline), then by all means please do.
Luffy’s dream is a very hotly debated topic and I’d like to chime in with a very cool theory that was first mentioned to me by @robust plinth, so I’d like to credit him for helping from the start. English isn’t my first language and I’m not great at writing in the first place so bear with me.
Now to get to the good stuff.
Luffy’s dream is to become friends with everyone in the world!
I will first attempt to list every major moment in favour of this theory. Second, I will go through the reactions of the people who know it to try and explain why it makes all the sense.
Perhaps the biggest reason that convinced me, lies in Luffy’s childhood. He was a rather lonely kid, living his days without any real friends. That all changed when he met Ace. They started of on the wrong foot, but Luffy very quickly forgave him and everything he wanted from then on was to be friends with him. He fought tooth and nail to even be acknowledged by him and succeeded in the end.
That is a pattern that we can observe throughout the entire story. Now you must understand there is a certain approach Luffy takes. Obviously if it’s someone that isn’t a direct threat to him, he will want to befriend them immediately. That’s a very common occurrence. If, however they’re an enemy he will attempt to literally beat the bad out of them, not kill them (that’s an important part!) and essentially give them a chance to better themselves and when they do, immediately forgive them for all their wrongdoings accepting them as friends. Granted there is a lot of nuance to this entire ordeal as Luffy is a somewhat whimsical character. He’s also grown immensely throughout the story and he realizes how dark the world really is but no one can deny his childish tendencies which keep his dream of being friends with everyone as absurd as that sounds. I think that a friendship can be defined on a wide spectrum and really requires mutual trust and respect more than there actually being a conventional friendship. It’s also not very hard for Luffy to say he’s friends with someone, so keep that in mind.
I’ll go through these moments relatively fast and in chronological order as with your understanding of the general idea you can likely make the connection yourselves.
Buggy starts of as a vilain and while he still technically is, he’s also Luffy’s friend. You can look at all of their interactions in Impel Down and Marineford. They remind me of how it was with Ace.
We meet one of the best examples for this in Jaya. None other than Bellamy. Luffy literally punched his good will into him and turned him around. He had to give him another beating later in Dressrosa but now Luffy considers him a friend, no doubt. Bellamy also set out to sea to better himself after. He says he won’t join the fleet but takes the vivre card, implying his good intentions for the future.
Crocodile has a very similar situation to buggy, albeit not as friendly but the trend shows a large improvement in their relationship. Obviously Luffy is still very cautious of him but he doesn’t hesitate giving him a chance.
Here we can mention smaller characters that came into play around the same time. Bon clay and Mr.3. They were enemies but now they’re friends.
In Water 7 we meet Lucci and Kaku, who have made a return now in Egghead and Luffy is already giving them a chance to fight alongside him.
In Sabaody Archipelago we meet Hatchan again. He also was a villain who is now friends with Luffy. We meet Duval who Luffy is quick to forgive and befriend. Not to mention Sentomaru. Perhaps you couldn’t really say he’s a friend but there really is no hostility there.
Katakuri is another great example. Are they friends now? No not really but there is mutual respect and that’s all Luffy really needs to drive it home.
Then we meet characters like Kaido and Big Mom. There were similar characters I haven’t mentioned but I’ll try to argue with a simple, there’s always time for them to come around. Was that just before they died (if they really have) or will it be later? Who knows. I think there’s an argument to be made especially for Kaido to have already turned as he likes strong people and acknowledges Luffy’s strength. He respects him and if the situation wasn’t as serious, I can totally see them share a drink.
We know Luffy is incredibly good at reading people, which is why we can see him not immediately acknowledge his old enemies as friends. He recognizes their presence and, in my eyes, looks like he hasn’t entirely been convinced they improved and is irritated because he wants to be friends with everyone as the theory suggests.
You might’ve noticed the focus on antagonists. That was deliberate as I think talking about other characters that Luffy befriended is rather unproductive, since we all know full well how quick Luffy is to make friends with anyone and anything.
Now let’s address the reactions of the people who know of the dream. I’ll start with the Straw hats.
I’ll go from right to left as that’s how we read it in the manga.
Zoro is somewhat surprised because you need to be very naïve to have such a dream and Zoro simply can’t make sense of making this dream a reality but he knows how Luffy rolls so more than anything he’s looking at it as another one of Luffy’s wild ideas.
Jinbe is interesting because he’s incredibly aware of the hatred and evil present in the world so naturally he would be shocked but he’s also very familiar with how kind hearted Luffy is and in a later panel looks like he kind of enjoys the idea of it.
Nami is more surprised than anything, she too knows how twisted some people are so I can imagine that she thinks this idea is simply unreasonable. However she knows Luffy very well and points out how like him that is, looking at him with a warm look as if opening her eyes to the proposition of such a world existing.
Brook is laughing almost hysterically. He would likely love the idea but still acts as if it’s unrealistic.
Usopp’s is similar to Jinbe’s only much more serious and he doesn’t seem to think it’s possible at all. Does the reaction make sense? Yes, Usopp is often exaggerated with his reactions so it makes sense and in all honesty he would be totally expected to think it is impossible.
Franky much like Brook is loving the idea and he’s crazy enough to think it’s possible.
Sanji says Chopper should check his head and the first thing that came to mind was. Sanji is certain he couldn’t possibly be friends with his family (minus Reiju). But he’s also much more childish than we give him credit for and I think he would secretly if not openly love it.
Robin’s initial reaction is the most puzzling. Later she has a similar expression to Nami which I think makes sense. If she wasn’t shaded I would think it’s a normal reaction but the shading somehow implies there’s something more behind it. But perhaps I’m reading too much into it and it’s just initial surprise to a wild dream.
In contrast Chopper’s reaction is what you would expect. He’s the kid of the group and he shares Luffy’s childhood trauma of not having any friends. He now knows how great it is to have friends and would love the idea even more than before.
Then there are the reactions of Oden, Whitebeard, Sabo, Ace.
They easily fall in line with the initial shock and then laughter mocking him. Luffy does say they all laughed so I assume that’s what Ace did too after that panel of being just shocked. I’m also counting in Roger telling his dream as we’re told it’s the same dream. Lastly, Shanks supposedly laughed and had some tears running down his face. Those were probably due to the shared dream of his ex captain Roger whom he respected a lot and the laughter, well because as I’ve said many times it’s an absolutely crazy thing to suggest.
How would Luffy go about realising this dream you ask? It wouldn't necessarily have to be in the most literal sense of befriending every single person on the planet because that's somewhat impossible.
It could be more of a philosophy that would spread in his name which would become possible if he was the pirate king.
Sort of like, why don't we all just get along and make the world a better place.
Thank you for reading this theory, I’m sure there’s ways to confirm and or deny it but it’s a neat idea that I wanted to share. There’s a bunch of other great theories on his dream but I have to say I would like this one a lot.
My personal issue is that although it is something a naive and carefree child Luffy might come up with, I think the reactions are way too strong, Usopp in particular. I feel that Usopp wouldn't be so angry and confrontational about that, telling him "ARE YOU SERIOUS? I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU COME UP WITH THIS STUFF!" I think Usopp would know fully well that Luffy wants more Nakama and I don't think he'd be confused and disturbed at Luffy saying he wants to make everyone his friend.
Realistically, I feel that if that were his dream, the general reaction would be some variation of "that's not possible but aww that's sweet" rather than things like Jinbe saying it's more troublesome being onboard with them than he knew beforehand. Luffy wanting to spread his name among the world as somebody to be a friend is honestly kind of just one of the expectations for somebody wanting to become the Pirate King and have the fame associated with its title. It doesn't add any additional danger in any way, and having a legacy is by no means unreasonable.
That's a totally valid view point to have, however I do think there's one line of reasoning that could open you up to the idea.
Thing is all the SH's might be interpreting Luffy's notion in different ways. Perhaps some think he is being literal and others think not. I would think that Usopp believes Luffy to be more simple minded and that he's saying he wants to be friends with literally everyone to which his reaction is perfectly reasonable.
But what makes Usopp seemingly "scared"? He seems like he doesn't want any part of this and needs Luffy to stop immediately. If Luffy wanted to literally befriend everyone in the world, does that really put Usopp in any worse of a situation than they have right now?
he doesn't seem scared to me though. His initial reaction perhaps but later he's just angry with Luffy. Angry in a manner that isn't very uncommon and is more like "this is the crazy shit we have to put up with you around"
Since I'll be replying later in more detail when you might already be offline, what is your take on the Sunny reaction? Skimming briefly (sorry, still working), it seems like you don't address the Sunny's reaction
oh right, I completely forgot about that. The first reaction we see could be explained as the Sunny simply being puzzled by friends with everyone? Even me? Which then opens the question to what degree is the sunny sentient? and that's a whole nother can of worms. I assume you're aiming at the next panel where the sunny is seemingly looking towards the sky which goes very well with your theory of going to the sun and frankly, I haven't come up with a good enough explanation for that. I'd like to disregard it but there's no way it's there as bait to throw us off and nothing else, I'm sure it's significant in some way
I may be silly for interpreting language of a ship, but, I view the "!?" as a
kinda thing. But I won't pretend its a solid interpretation.
I don't think it's silly given that the ship got its own textbox
It could be, but it could also be something like
It's really hard to say because the Sunny has a naturally happy looking "face" or whatever that frontal ornament is called
Also, as a brief aside, I think we have been told that most ships are some non-zero sentient and that this gets upgraded when they gain a Klabautermann. So I think Sunny is considered a part of the crew
The Sunny being part of the crew is a given and it having sentience perhaps too because we've seen it react with the crew multiple times. I'm just wondering if it's directly connected to the dream or just a passing reaction
@candid stratus A little diversion from the reactions of the people. Why would luffy need to be pirate king to achieve the dream? We know that luffy wants to be pirate king because luffy believes the pirate king is the most free in the world. One could say that Luffys goal is to be the most free in the world. Why would Luffy need to be the most free in the world to achieve his dream?
I address this at the very end of the theory. Well I do with one possible answer although there could be other
would be cool if you had a youtube channel
so you think Luffys dream is to be friends with everyone? judging by the end of this
Ok I finished my work early so I can reply more properly now.
After some more thought, I considered the idea that being friends with everyone also means protecting everyone because Luffy will always protect his friends. That is a potential explanation for Usopp and others being deeply concerned.
Usopp's reaction can be justified by your theory if we consider there are people who Usopp gets terrified by even the thought of. It could be that his first thought was all the scary people he never wants to see again.
I think Robin's reaction is the one your theory struggles with the most. I think her response indicates she has some level of perspective/knowledge on this topic and she does not want to delve into it at this moment. She has chosen not to divulge highly relevant information in the past because "no one asked". She tends to just be a pleasant observer unless specifically asked for her input. I think she sees it as being polite.
I would say I am not entirely convinced, but I do think you make good points. And the need to defend people justifies some of the scared reactions. But I do think something more directly dangerous fits Oden and Jinbe's reactions. Oden seems totally blown away by the topic itself. And I think Jinbe, similar to Robin, is indicating he knows something about this topic, since he is asking for confirmation.
Being pirate king would certainly help convince people to be his friend, since he'll be strong enough to apply the pressure he already did with Lucci. "Since I will just beat your ass if you act up, I'll be nice to you". Since Luffy learned strength is the only thing that can guarantee the safety of his friends, you could say he needs to be strong before he can be everyone's friend.
@candid stratus I don't think Luffy would be after the title of the pirate of king for the fame aspect of things. Also we know that Roger had the same dream as Luffy. Roger achieved his goal of becoming Pirate king but there was something stopping from achieving his dream? Or did he achieve a part of dream? I think it would be better fitting for Luffys dream to be for everyone to be pirates. We know that being a pirate is all about being free for luffy. What does a free person do?Try to achieve there on dreams. And luffy has an interesting bit of conversation with Nami when she asks whether a pirates resolve is to kill without thinking (when buggy asks her to cannon Luffy with buggy balls). To which he replies it is the resolve to put your life on the line. One could say that Luffy has been inspiring a lot of people to be pirates. Buggy who was camped in east blue , alvida , captain kuro , even crocodile who was trying to take over a country to finally set sail in the grand line. Also what did lucci and his gang do after getting beaten by luffy? Yep set on sail on a boat. The intial reactions of the crew can be explained by what is generally thought of to be a pirate. But when you think of what kind of pirate luffy is what it means to be a pirate to him the second reactions are shown. What did gold roger do? Yep he urged people to be pirates to find one piece. Also Everyone Luffy fights for is already risking their life to achieve whatever goal they are trying to achieve (Remember when luffy asks Vivi to put hers and the strawhats crews on the line, when he really wanted to ring that bell because diamond has risking his life by diving ). This would explain why he wants to be pirate king , It is because of what gold roger achieved with dying words. Roger could so much with just one sentence. It would make sense to luffy that his goal of everyone being a pirate would be achieve able if he was the pirate king. It would make sense that why Govt would be against it
This was not originally my idea. I heard it from someone.
Interesting idea. I have always assumed Roger achieved his dream during his year long journey. We know he found the one piece, learned a bunch of stuff, disbanded his crew, and then went on a year long journey. After that journey, he turned himself in. But perhaps he achieved his dream in that moment before dying when he inspired many people to become pirates.
Roger told Garp that he knows that the WG will find out what he was up to in that time after he disbanded his crew ( having Ace ) but I thought that was weird he was so confident they would find out.
I don't think it's the case for sure, I just like the idea of it. I haven't seen it be put into words here yet so I tried doing it myself.
Yes, that's a good point, Usopp would definitely think of all the evil scary people whom he would never want to be friends with. That's a logical explanation to his reaction.
Yes Robin's is somewhat puzzling and better explained by some other theories but one could make sense of it, if the theory were true.
Again the theory might be off the mark, I just attempted writing it out as I haven't seen it here yet and it's a cool idea. The biggest and most obvious hint lies in Luffy's childhood as I describe at the start. It's the bedrock of his childhood trauma so it would make sense for his childlike dream to reflect that. If I can mention your theory of Luffy wanting to go to the sun, the main thing that doesn't convince me is why would he actually want to do that.
Could it be the case? Sure but I think that part is much better explained with this dream theory while it does lack in the proof department later on haha
Yaah, you are right that relating his dream to something that it makes sense for him to want as a kid feels like a really good basis. I honestly have no idea other than laying on the ground and saying "I should go there". Something involving friends makes sense given the reasons you listed
There are characters tho that Luffy never wants to be friends with, some of which are his enemies who he has no remorse for because of the evil they’ve done. Or simply not caring about certain characters. i guess a example of that could be Luffy ignoring Chiffon and Lola’s dad while in the seducing woods.
not sure if Roger would have this dream either and tell shanks after Laughtale. this dream forces Luffys morality to shift to where he is forced to care about everyone, and we know luffys freedom as a pirate contradicts that. any thoughts
thats defo a dream that a certain yellow hair ninja would have tho. from another series
I don't think that's the case. As I said he will beat the bad out of them and then be friends with them. Did anyone think that Luffy would be friends with characters like Buggy and Bellamy? Hell no. But he definitely is. Luffy is a forgiving person as long as the other party really does change and he will go to great lengths to have them re-evaluate their actions and moralities.
buggy and bellamy aren’t even that bad. think about doflamingo or arlong. maybe even higuma for memes
right, you could say I'm nit picking when I list examples but I do think we should be looking at the overarching concept of Luffy giving everyone a chance. I think he'd do that with every single character. It's up to them to reciprocate and better themselves but Luffy's dream can remain intact. I'm also not saying that in order for him to achieve his dream it would have to become a literal reality where he's friends with everyone but more of a legacy and influence
i do like the theory of luffy’s dream involving the world. but saying every single person is a stretch, maybe a variation of your theory is possible and less simple than being buddies
He forgave Hachi
Well thing is, I don't think he would mean it literally. He is smart enough to know that the notion of being friends with EVERYONE is unrealistic
I understand it all and tbh it does make sense
i dont think hes that good friends with buggy, expecially now that hes a competetor
I urge you to consider my talk about friendship that I addressed in the main theory
I think the situation with c clown really helps your theory too. How Luffy forgave him almost instantly
Please don’t reply to theories if you haven’t read the theory. It often causes misunderstanding or requires the poster of the theory to just re-state what they already wrote in the theory

oh my apologies
so regarding the big mom flashback stuff about the fasting for the sun god. that made me think, luffy is the sun god after awakening his fruit. if he and his crew were to partake in the fasting after they get to elbaph (prolly next arc). would he also do it? and how would he end up?? would it be like a WCI scenario with luffy practicality starving himself?
I think it would be cool if conqueror's haki users could capitalize on that "overwhelming presence" ability. Like, concentrating that wave of influence into a single point and attacking an opponent directly allowing a conqueror to even knock stronger-willed opponents unconscious, sort of like a charge bolt
I simply do not see the straw hats fasting, and Luffy's metabolism is very extreme especially as he uses his various gears so he really needs fuel.
We also saw the red hair pirates eating and drinking and I think it's pretty likely that they're going to head to Elbaf immediately once they leave Egghead, so I wouldn't assume the winter solstice is happening yet.
yea true but its just an idea. it could potentially happen. oda likes to throw random shit at us whenever he gets the chance
Didn’t Shanks do that when he focused his conqueror’s haki to specifically target admiral ryokugyu from a mile away?
Sort of but it seemed more like shanks was flexing a massive aura that could be felt from far away, and rather than being overwhelmed Ryokugyu just got intimidated and bailed
minor theory w recent sanji eyebrow and “killing jinbei”. sanji told zoro to take care of him if he ever steps out of place. we know luffy is too strong now to get captured 1v1 and put in the situation ace was. imagine sanji steps out of line, zoro and him start fighting because of it then luffy is faced with a 2v1 against saturn n kizaru which they take the opportunity to arrest him because of the discourse among the 2
My theory for what’s gonna unfold in the upcoming Chapters Luffy will find out that Vegapunk Died. Luffy will get mad so he will start using Gear 5 The marines will arrive including kizaru and a All out War Will Happen Between the Straw Hats and Marines The Cp0 Agents will have to either fight the straw hats or be wanted for treason (News Paper Morgan will Lie and say Luffy has Killed Vegapunk and Now is in a War Between the Marines) And Depending on the Outcome of the fight it will effect Luffy’s Bounty but it still will for the death Of Vegapunk so new bounty’s Confirmed?
What if Kizaru was a former rocks pirate and plans to assassinate Saturn...
Since we know vegapunk can create lazers, and kizaru being a light logia user...
He could easily pin the blame on Vegapunk. With this recent revalation about York wanting to be a celestial dragon, and also having been to The Holy Land Mariejois, I posit that her desire to become a celestial dragon had to have come from somewhere and that being Kizaru. Since you have to enter Mariejois with the escort of an admiral/vice-admiral Kizaru could have been the one there to escort them.
IF Kizaru is a former Rock's pirate it would also play into the more recent exploration of the rock's pirates with the more recent arcs. First was Big Mom on whole cake island arc, than kaidou on Wano Arc, Kizaru could secretly be the next one to be revealed. No other character, except for Saturn, fits into the age group and power group. Him being 58 years old and big mom being 68 with kaidou being 59.
Out of all the characters that weve known about for a long time. The admirals being some of the biggest chess pieces in the world, we know very little about them. I feel out of all the admirals and former vice admirals, his personality fits in some regard as being a former Rock's pirate. If true, Kizaru has probably played this long game to assisinate a Gorosei and destroy the navy's reputation in one fell swoop.
Heres how i think it'll play out:
Enter Kizaru reaching Egghead Island with Saturn.
-Kizaru joined the navy after the god valley incident and the rocks pirates disbanded.
-Kizaru has reached vice-admiral when Vegapunk and the satelites go to Mariejois and personally escorts them.
-Kizaru implants the desire to become a celestial dragon into York years ago.
-York being manipulated by kizaru for years as an undercover agent of Kizaru.
-York "leaks" intel that vegapunk is researching the void century to Kizaru.
-Kizaru informs the gorosei of this information prompting a gorosei member to accompany kizaru to egghead.
-In the middle of the confusion, Kizaru assinates Saturn.
-Enter "Big News" Morgans and Vivi in tow reaching egghead island and catches the assasination.
-The Egghead Incident occurs, the Navy lost another admiral, and a gorosei is killed.
-The world loses all respect for the Navy and causes upheaval
Marines of varying branches are there...
So sword marines too? Maybe here finally a clash happens where sword has to react
Could this be the spark for the all out war that oda was talking about?
Saturn, kizaru, varying branches of the marines, the seraphims and the list goes on are all involved + we got the "a day before the egghead incident" hint so u know it's something big coming up.
It could be that all the varitents of Vegapunk dies except Stella and that Egghead was destroyed kizaru being injured greatly ....
or
Stella dies and only one of the varitent (maybe lilith) survives and Egghead was destroyed along with kizaru being injured greatly.....
And I think she is doing like that because as her name suggests 'Gluttony' she is not only always hungry but is hungry for power and wants to have it all....
As for Bonney I think she may use her awaken powers to defeat all the seraphims and the government......
I think what's going to happen is that the world governments shenanigans is going to be broadcast and known throughout the world. It's huuuuuge news, nations will stop supporting, will distrust, will war against the WG. Other nations will support. Engulfing the world into chaos.
Kizaru playing the long con not unlike a certain bleach character, would be kinda cool
I KNOW RIGHT?
This is why i made mention that Big News Morgan and Vivi are going to egghead. Morgans would not want to miss such a huge event. This way we could aso see Vivi be reunited with the Straw Hats

on the latest manga , one panel has this -" only one day remains before the infamous egghead incident" , so the narrator is narrating a story that has already happened , not narrating as it is happening
Every time the narrator talks that is the case
Yeah, I often feel that people put in way too many stakes to the narrator of stories. "THIS CHARACTER IS THE NARRATOR SO THEY CANNOT DIE!" is a common one I've seen but they could just as easily be looking back on their story with their life flashing before their eyes too. Unless you "see the narrator as they narrate" you don't know what's actually happening with them
what if these are all past events and they need to travel further in time which will make them at present and the narrator will narrate based on the on-going events rather than already occured events. so basically like another time skip before the story reaches its climax. I dont think the narrator is someone who is currently in the story but will witness the story and the read about it in the future
It's entirely plausible that we could see the narrator at some point and the story could catch up with them, but there is absolutely nothing to assert that and nothing that would really impact within the story as a whole.
or maybe narrator might be oda himself
Vegapunk is a genius.
It all makes sense now, it was an inside job. Vegapunk wants to infiltrate Marie Geoise to learn about the ancient power source, so he let York become a fake traitor. They captured all cp agents to keep as a witness for York’s ‘betrayal’ so they would accept her into Marie Geoise. And in the meantime, Kuma is forcefully entering Marie Geoise to hide something essential for the plan (be it a snail phone or chip to upload to punk records) there. And obviously, they knew they wouldn’t win against the navy so they sent Lillith to lure the shs towards Egghead for protection
definitely not the worst idea i have heard, definitely possible but idk, for me personally doesnt feel like the direction we are going
It's just for the emphasis....same how he announced about Roger, about luffy and shanks, about the formation of the strawhat grand fleet. So it's just to emphasize on the importance of the current incident
The thing that makes this possible is that we have never actually seen Shakka, and Shakka told Dragon he might die soon. Shakka wearing a helmet makes it easier for him to have been some kinda fake dummy thing. The entire thing could have been orchestrated since no one else has "died". But there is also essentially zero reason for Stella to play along or be this good of an actor. And while it is possible the other satellites independently decided on this entire act, it feels unlikely. But I would love that.
If you properly watch the marineford arc, Whitebeard used his fruit aggressively at the end of the arc flying away waves of water and im assuming with the way he punched the air, it was a tsunami. And this man Shanks calmly figures out how to deal with Kaido and my man tore through a tsunami and stopped Akainu's punch at the correct moment. It was a "TSUNAMI" and my man here just went through it like any other normal wave. Whats your say?
I mean if the satellites act then stella has to act too, to convince the cp agents. This is the key to get accepted into Marie Geoise without suspicion. And as for Luffy, they don’t tell him because he might accidentally spill the info and mess up the plan lol
@wanton tangle this really isn’t the place to discuss powerscaling, please check the channel’s description. Your question might be better received in #manga
@steady prism Sorry im new to the server. i just joined today...my bad...thanks man
I think Cross Guild could show up to help the Straw Hats escape under the condition that they give Cross Guild copies of their Poneglyph rubbings.
Law is fighting Blackbeard. Kid is about to fight Shanks. Both conflicts are with Yonko over Poneglyph rubbings. It would make sense if Luffy's crew is also about to interact with the only other Yonko crew as well for a similar reason.
Cross Guild's thing is hunting Marines, right? Maybe Cross Guild members attacked a Marine ship in their way to Egghead and heard about the upcoming conflict. Crocodile then thought of this as an opportunity to finally attain rubbings for their organization.
This could also give us a fun interaction between Mihawk and S-Hawk.
That's an idea, they definitely have no thread going right now unlike other Yonkos. But are they even after the rubbings? Do they even know about Road glyphs? Maybe they'll have other motivations
Buggy intends to find the one piece and be pirate king. He just isn't particularly good at it and tends to instead stumble into success. He's obsessed over finding captain John's treasure for the same reason.
i dont know if its a theory or not but i might as well add it. If bon clay does in fact actually join the crew, how will sanji's repressed trauma from the kamabakka kingdom turn out?? im sure he'd hate bon chan even more than zoro
Each Satellite was not just based on an emotion or personality trait of Vegapunk, but they were also based off of a certain memory of Vegapunk.
Shaka was based off of Vegapunk working for the common good and developing technologies for civilians.
Lilith was based off of Vegapunk working on the Void Century and avenging the people of Ohara by continuing on Ohara's illegal research.
Edison was based off of Vegapunk's days of being with MADS and serving as the most prominent scientist of MADS.
Pythagoras was based off of Vegapunk developing things for the Marines and part of the World Government.
Atlas was based off of Vegapunk's relations with Dragon and the Revolutionaries.
However, York was based off of Vegapunk's worst memories. York was based off of the memories of Vegapunk being asked to create for the Celestial Dragons or anyone that was evil in the World Government. When Vegapunk made the Satellites, he wanted to make sure that the Satellite with those bad memories would be the least intelligent of the Satellites, so he assigned York to just do bodily chores like eat, recycle, and sleep. Unfortunately for Vegapunk, York probably somehow learned about her creation and chose to rebel hoping that she could become a Celestial Dragon.
Cool and This could explain what Edison said that they made a huge miscalculation

Ah okay
Pluton is an artificial intelligence super computer battleship.
Now that we are in Egghead there was a massive lore reveal that around sometimes in the distant past there was a very technologically advanced robot that Vegapunk was researching which indicated the ancient kingdom was very very technologically advanced. There were also times in the manga where Pluton was referred to as something alive by Robin, Franky, and the others as well too throughout the manga. Since Pluton can be built it can be presumed that it is mechanical in nature and also the way it is referred more than suggests it is artificial intelligence that is on the lines of a super computer since it is a island destroying weapon too.
I like the idea that Franky memorized the build plans and converted pluton in the Sunny without telling the crew
i dont see any feats of the thousand sunny that are comparable to an island-destroying ship though

Oh dang that's crazy but makes sense
so I sorta want to get everyone's understanding of what can happen in the next couple of chapters. when the chapter says the events of tomorrow will shock the world. it has me a little worried. I am hoping the big shock will be kizaru's defeat and the fleet equal to the buster call being annihilated. however, my pessimistic brain is like ohh they are gonna get captured and be made slaves to the world nobles something dark like that I hope not but I want to get your all predictions.
i hope so he is so cocky

For all we know, it could be the death of Saturn
Saturn was likely only brought there to order the Seraphim, because he's at the top of the heirachy
Since this is more of a question, let’s take any further discussion of this to #manga-serious
I believe York will die pretty soon.
York seems to embody needless greed, she doesn't have a sad backstory. Every vegapunk embodies and aspect of Vegapunk good or bad, and York lusts for food, power, being the only VP and to be as rich as a CD.
Thing is though. Here's 3 issues.
-
She blabbed to the WG, so who's to say she's trustworthy of not blabbing again.
-
The world government...oh, I don't know can lie
-
She's not noble blood, she greedy and tall/abnormal so the CDs will not approve of nor stand her being one of thrm
Saturn and the others are gonna off her as soon as everything is sorted
I mean just the straw hat grand fleet against a gorosei, kizaru and huge fleet is enough to shock the world
This is a war
Just gorosei stepping out of marijoa is shocking the world
Yeah, it would shock the world no matter what outcome occurs
bonnie(gluttony-greed) is gonna kill york(greed)
This man cookin
So the fact that narrator said that this event will be known as the “egghead” incident means that the island will survive. For example ohara is forgotten about by normal folks as well as the other island they just wiped (even i forgot damn WG), so that means Egghead wont be erased. If thats the case, what are the scenarios that could lead to it? And is this the start of the real revolution against the WG. Especially if luffy for example kills the elder
This is where my head is as well
The orders cp0 received were to kill ALL vegapunks
That's a good observation. Makes a lot of sense actually
But the God Valley incident is also called the God Valley incident
but no one knows where god valley is
If they erase egghead and ban anything that says egghead then it would be the same as god valley and they wouldn’t know either
But yeah since the shs are involved things won’t go in the favor of the wg that much
I don't think luffy can kill elders he still needs to master gear 5 for that vegapunk and straw hats needs to escape
cool
thats under the assumption that the 5 Elders have actually fighting abilities
We can predict that the elders are serious physical combatants but we don't know that
They have because they got scars on their bodies
just because they have been in battles doesnt mean they have to be strong
and im not saying they arent, its possible they are the real deal, its also possible that they arent
Yes could be either but we know they fought in the past, and since they are gorosei I don’t think the opponents would be weak
since they are Gorosei, they might have been attacked and got the scars that way, assassination attempts
But one or them carries a sword
They are mostly from void century. If they were weak they might be guarded by admirals because they are elders just like world Nobles and he would be siting in mariejois and waiting for kizaru to come back
He thinks egghead is on same level as ohara so he going to clear that on his own
eh, maybe or maybe he is going because he doesnt wanna loose the Seraphim
Even than he should be powerful enough to save them
he brings 100 ships with marines and Kizaru
I imagine the Gorosei were once powerful revolutionaries who won and settled into their governmental role. They were likely fighters at some point
They fought against Hito Hito no Mi and nearly lost that's why they wanted that devil fruit
Nah just the fact that it’s joyboy’s fruit is enough
just realized that if you say Wano backwards, it’s noah
?????
In japanese letters, it’s “wa no”.
Say it backwards and it’s “no wa”
Considering York is more than okay with killing Stella I think it's safe to say that at least they believe that killing the main body won't impact them at all.
The Stawhats absolutely could still use a strategist and fellow researcher to play off of both Franky and Robin and give them more interactions and screentime.
I think York probably is going to succeed in killing Stella during this arc and that potentially one of the other Vegapunks will join the Strawhats since theoretically they aren't likely to be impacted by Stella's death either (outside of emotionally).
This sets up a tragic backstory happening in real time (good criteria for a new strawhat to have), lots of potential to dive into old memories while still having a strong and young body that can fight, and someone who can give Robin and everyone more direct insight into poneglyphs and the void century as we move towards the climax of Laugh Tale.
Surviving Vegapunks, I think only the one will survive (hoping for Lilith personally), will also be in the unique position of not having any immediate allies (no pirate crew to fall back on) and being instantly one of the most wanted people in the world by the world government (starting bounty already will likely match current strawhat crew numbers) so in terms of bounty scaling they'll already be set with the rest of the crew.
This could all be me just having wishful thinking of having a Vegapunk join the Strawhats but I think it works and has a good chance of happening.
Feed me Blackbeard theories
Blackbeard never sleeps because he's already asleep. The Blackbeard we know is a manifestation of a dream made real by Roger's wish to the One Piece that effects all of reality. Roger wanted to start the great pirate age and change the world that way, so he literally made Blackbeard, the perfect embodiment of a pirate.
Luffy's entire dream is that he wants freedom. And the only way to get freedom is to change the world. And the only way to do that will be to defeat Blackbeard, the embodiment of the old dream.
One Piece is basically just Bloodborne and Blackbeard is our Gehrman.
"A man's dream never ends" says the dreamer
Yeah, what many people seem to not be thinking about is that Stella is a satellite too. His brain isn't present in his body anymore, it's stored within punk records. So York arguably doesn't need to "eat stella" for the brain brain fruit, the fruit is hers already too. It really depends on if devil fruits are based in the raw flesh of the body or the actual brain. But she should be able to kill Stella and live on her own just fine.
crack theory ( or maybe not ? ) : what if sea kings were humans before ? I always thought that they were their own entity, somewhat like gods from the old world or creatures that were part of the world building. But now that we're aware of vegapunk's theory about devil fruits, isn't it possible they're just a branch of humans that evolved in a certain way like zoans ?
zunisha seems corelated to them, he spoke about the sentence he received 800years ago that was maybe/maybe not placed by the recently formed WG. Both have a mission to fulfill linked to the ancient weapons and both use a form of telepathy ( the voice of all things ) that only very specific people can hear. I also don't think we ever saw a longlegged animal like zunisha in the series, but i may be wrong about that. Joyboy was at the head of a very advanced civilisation, i don't think it's impossible with their technology to engineer humans into those creatures and give them a specific goal to achieve, even well into the future. The voice of all things could also be a form of telepathy developed by the ancient kingdom, although that doesn't explain how roger could hear it without having eaten a devil fruit.
I still think there is something mystical in the series with gods, creatures or fate.. and hope that everything won't be explained by science. But i'm fairly certain that the ancient kingdom mastered this aspect of the one piece world while using very advanced technology. What's left from that technology is, in the actual op world, often apparented to gods or myths ( devil fruits, lunarians, nika, skypean gods to cite some exemples ) and the WG suceeded into hiding the origins of those myths.
what do y'all think about this ?
Personally, I just don't see this happening primarily for the fact that Luffy has been shown to eat sea king meat in the past and I really don't think Oda wants to go down the road of Luffy eating those who were human
Yeah, from the moment there were multiple Vegapunks and they set up an original I thought the original would actually be more expendable than the others. That said I still think basically all of them except one are going to die, but knowing Oda I think the one surviving one definitely won't be Stella. And again, hoping the survivor is Lilith and she joins the crew.
The latter wish is just me hopeful for a new Strawhat but I think the entire fandom is haha
do u guys know that the commander of the blackbeard pirates the ten titanic captains? and remember kuzan(aokiji) has ice fruit? and u guys surely knows about the titanic ship, right? it sunk, bc of an ICEberg! i think that kuzan is a spy, and he is watching blackbeard. and i think, kuzan do this for the revolutionaires, bc as soon as blackbeard reached baltigo(base of revos), the revos are gone just in time.
i'm not sure those are the same sea kings that lives around fishman island and we already had that type of cannibalism with big mom and maybe blackbeard fr x)
Something that's been bugging me ever since the traitor reveal is one big contradiction that was revealed to us in chapter 1067:
If the experiences of each vegapunk are synced together daily, then how did York manage to go under the radar?
She must have bypassed this daily sync somehow to hide the fact that she has been setting them all up for the past 3 months. This could be some sort of glitch or work around she managed to exploit, but this reeks of incompetency from the worlds smartest scientist so I would like a more reasonable explanation.
This leads me to my theory.. I think because of her "duties", York has an exception to the daily sync. Whenever she goes to use the bathroom, those memories aren't recorded because it would be honestly disgusting. This means that she can do whatever betrayals she has to do during this time.
This would mean that the important conversation York had with the gorosei happened while she was taking a big fat shit
I initially wrote this as a joke.. but given oda's humour I can see this happening. Imagine having a discussion with the highest authority in the wg and there are ..toilet sounds.. happening in the background
Can't wait to hear those sounds in the anime
This doesn't really make sense though. She'd have to wipe her memory and reinsert this memory every day.
I'm saying it's programmmed in a way that whatever happens when she's in the toilet just isn't recalled
So she just doesn't have to do anything
Wouldn't that mean she has no idea what her and the elders actually discussed and is just randomly doing what she desires in the spur of the moment
My theory is that shanks from many chapters ago when he visited the elders was talking about vegapunk
!theories
@thorny onyx could you please elaborate and provide evidence/reasoning to support why Shanks would do that? This is kind of difficult especially with the recent chapter showing that the WG as a whole didn't do anything until they were tipped about Vegapunk's research 3 months ago. It's interesting but if this was just an idea, please use #manga-serious
@quick tundra not sure where you were trying to go with a Luffy vs Kuzan matchup when there's no indication that any of the Blackbeard pirates are anywhere near Egghead right now. If you have some evidence/reasoning to support this idea, please feel free to repost and elaborate here. Otherwise, shorter thoughts are better put in #manga or #manga-serious

This is definitely wrong because when Shanks went to talk to the gorosei he wanted to speak about a certain pirate and Vegapunk has never been an actual pirate.
The cover for chapter 1070 depicts vegapunk and the others in a group together wielding guns and swords. While they arent explicitly depicted as pirates, since Du Feld's research ship from the cover of chapter 1069 does not don a jolly roger, I do not think it is much of a stretch to associate illegal activities with the essence of being a pirate. In chapter 1066, Dragon mentions how Vegapunk at the time of visiting Ohara had become a 'government lapdog now' and that he had refused to join the Freedom fighters. This implies that at some point in time before Ohara, Vegapunk was not associated with either the World Government or with the Freedom Fighters.
There is some issue with as to why Shanks might attempt to throw Vegapunk under the bus, given how little is known about him, however it is not necessarily random either. In chapter 1054, we see that Shanks is now trying to make a move towards claiming the one piece. In the latest chapter (1078), the world government is given a tip that Vegapunk is researching the void century (3 months earlier). It might be possible that Shanks is trying to gain more information about the poneglyphs by trying to sabotage Vegapunk, with the anonymous tipper in the latest chapter asking to speak to the 'top brass', which could then refer to the meeting that Shanks then proceeds to have with the elder stars at the end of chapter 907.
Chapter 907 also has the Gorosei mentioning that Shanks should have nothing to do with politics, uncovering the void century is certainly a political discussion. It might be that Shanks was talking about other pirates such as Blackbeard or even Luffy given the reveal of the rubber fruit being a mythical zoan, however that does not seem like much of a political issue.
even if in the past he was kinda doing illegal stuff or something like that, now he is as you said yourself a Government lapdog, not only is it a stretch to call him a pirate in the past, there is no reason at all to call him a pirate now. And you bring the other problem up yourself. How and why would Shanks care and know what VP is up to atm while there is so many actual pirates he could be talking about there. Doesnt really add up for me personally
I guess so, but given that Shanks had the interaction prior to Wano and still to this day it is not necessarily clear who he was talking about, I feel like the options has certainly narrowed down to a select few. In my head I would have assumed he was talking about either Luffy and the gomu gomu fruit, Blackbeard or someone to come in one of the arcs following Wano. The fact that Shanks is also in a cloak and the guards are told to leave before he starts speaking in 907 implies that his arrival is not public and obviously a secret. An issue of high importance leads me to think that the issue is regarding perhaps the void century, or atleast someone who is aware of it in some sort of manner. In one of the earlier chapters for egg head island, there is clearly a destroyed robot on the island that was present 800 years ago.
Given how Shanks was in Wano at the end of the arc, and how quickly the strawhats travelled between Wano and Egghead, I do not think it is much of a stretch to say that Shanks may have visited Egghead in the past as well, where evidence of that ancient robot would have been witnessed.
I agree that currently Shanks may not have anything to do with Vegapunk, but I think it is certainly possible that Shanks has a history with vegapunk in some manner that has not been revealed to us yet, perhaps during a time when VP was not associated with the government
Hilarious find 😂
i mean sure, Shanks might have a history with VP, possible, does this mean VP is the one Shanks talked about, no, i mean sure possible but very very unlikely
Who do you reckon it might b
my money is on either BB, Luffy, Mihawk, Crocodile, my money is on BB even though its the very obvious choice, i think its even more likely atm that it might have been Kidd than VP
Since this channel is only for discussing in depth theories, please move this conversation to #manga-serious . Right now the original post you are discussing is a 1 liner, which shouldn't be here to begin with. Thank you!
I have a theory:
Post Dressrosa, the Fleet Admiral told Fujitora that he cannot step a foot in any Navy Bases until he capture Luffy and Law. Fujitora said that was exactly what he wanted.
Later, we saw Law and Blackbeard fighting it out, and it got cut. Oda have a huge tendency in letting major fights get interrupted. Its just a question of who will interrupt this fight. (Shanks interrupted marineford, rayleigh interrupted BB vs Hancock, etc.) So what I think would happen is that Fujitora will interrupt the fight, and attempt to capture Law. Whether he is successful or not, I don't know for sure. I think this is a lot more likely than Law losing outright and giving up his Devil Fruit/dying to Blackbeard.
I would like to ultimately add onto your theory. We are already primed for Garp intercepting BB and crew, now it may or may not happen during or after the conflict between BB and Law… but if it were to happen (which I feel like we’re lead to believe this is the case) that Fuji and Garp intercept separately but at the same time- they could divide the fight- producing Fuji VS Law (so Fuji can return to naval bases in some capacity) and Garp VS BB (to rescue Koby).
my short theory
every single person that has the D in his name gets the will of the person with the d that died before him
2 examples: luffy and roger, xebec and blackbeard
whitebeard's words(smth like that it was)
even if you kill someone with the d in his name someone will eventually rise and take on their will
true
Just by pure colour scheme I have the theory that sabo will awaken blue flames and fight akainu
Straw hats will (maybe??) end up fighting Blackbeard in a clean one v one but if the elders and Im are actually very super strong as well this is how I see it playing out in the final conflicts
Atlas or Stella for strawhat theory: Here is my theory on why atlas will survive at the end of egghead and will push forward stella dream
Dream: To continue vegapunk dream of bringing energy and connecting the world. This might tied to the final war.
Sad Backstory: I feel like we will get a backstory in the next couple chapters explaining more about vegapunk and his dream and why york is the way she is.
Role of the Crew: Scientist/Inventor
Character conflict: Either stella accepting his desire of being a celestial or atlas become more than just a body for vegapunk. The conflict will be connected to desire which has been the main theme of the arc
Character Direction: Vegapunk wants to unravel the mysterious of the void century to obtain better tech for his dream.
Gag: Stella with quasuar and his wacky inventions and atlas with her direct insults like what she did with jimbei
another note for atlas: mechandise. think about it atlas plushies.
It seems that Shanks caused Luffy to become a pirate intentionally, what if it was all his plan and he knew luffy would become an incredible pirate? Maybe his fruit has some kind of fortune/luck or something like that, and for that , he brought the fruit so luffy could eat it.
yea , i think that the mera mera no mi has lots of potential to be a great df , if sabo could awaken blue flames he prob could stand a chance against akainu to possibly defeat him and bring some justice for his brother
Sabo’s colour scheme just suits blue flames better and its very like oda to have someone eat their words retroactively (Akainu saying magma would always beat fire when in reality that’s definitely not the case)
Liar Norland and Kyros saying he wanted to be forgotten when he was still a gladiator are really good examples of this
Don’t know if it’ll go through, the current power balance of the world is in pure chaos and I actually don’t know how whats gonna happen now
the strawhats reunited are truly built different
York is not the real traitor atlas is and she’s been manipulating everything behind the scenes.

Remember that Luffy wanted a giant bronze statue on its crew, I mean, Atlas could somehow fit, given the mythos behind it
There was also a theory on twitter talking about how atlas would hold up egghead like the mythos. could be metaphorical or literal depending.
What's Franky's role this arc
He's the only member of his group Conscious plus its a let down if he does nothing during the vegapunk arc considering that's what he was researching over the time skip
That’s what I’ve been wondering. Franky has always been setup as thr vegapunk of the straw hats, but hasnt really done much this arc?
He’s gonna download VegaPunks conscience or download him into the sunny with a chip
Yes there are actual theories around this
random theory for nami but she could get a power up by zeus literally becoming a aura of armor around her body which can allow her to fly and make lightning shoot out from her hands and feet and like sanjis germa suit she can call out to activate the form and store it back in her staff
not likely for the nami *one but sanji might get a healing flame similar to that of marcos blue flame since he already has a blue flame there isnt a reason sanji shouldnt be able to heal people.
i have a theory that shanks is secretly a marine. its been hinted quite a few times
I'm gonna prove Luffy isn't inspired from Sun wu Kong he is based on hanuman from Hindu mythology. Sun wu Kong can't stretch like luffy does but hanuman has a very stretchy body like luffy and hanuman once tried to eat Sun. And many reference like luffy uses a technique called bajrang gun and people in India call hanuman bajrangbali many more references.
There is a interesting story that i heard so I'm sharing it to you.
Bali is the name of Hanuman big brother who was the strongest ape alive on that time much much stronger than anyone Bali strength was comparable to ravana the ten headed demon and he has also challanged ravana strongest companion to a 1v1 fight and never lose any single on of them it also says that not a single ravana soldiers were able to push Bali back
Bali was just standing in his place and no one was able to push him out of his place these are just some examples of bali strength.
Now Hanuman was even stronger than bali so many people started calling Hanuman as Bajrang Bali because bajrang means much much much much stronger and Bali was well known for his toughness and enormous strength and Hanuman was even further stronger than him
So that's why Hanuman was called Bajrang Bali
Like hanuman Father is called vayu and vayu translated in english is wind and whenever we saw Monkey.D.Dragon we saw him using wind power's, and vayu can control wind and can manipulate weather. And there was known to be 2 father's of hanuman 1 is vayu and other known to be spiritual father his name is kesari and luffy has 1 father figure Garp, and kesari once went to a holyland/god valley and 1 hit a demon with his bare fist this demon should be xebec, And garp is known as Garp the fist.
!theories Okay, but how has it been hinted at? It's not a theory if you don't provide anything to back up the claim

ok sure i can give the proof
firstly, dont you think shanks has had really little impact of influence in the story? especially considering hes a emperor of the sea? obv he has to have some importance and because there's been no plot twist in one piece yet this would be the best.
secondly, shanks is shown to be a good person. this is because marines are good people and have senses of justice. why would shanks become an evil warlord
thirdly, how come the marines just let shanks leave marineford? because admiral akainu was in on it.
lastly, how do you thinks shanks got the gum gum fruit from the marines? because they gave it to him so he could raise someone with the will of D to take down the yonkos.
This is not evidence. This is more of a thought experiment. For examples of the sort of evidence we ask for here, please see the pins and/or channel description. What you are posting is totally appropriate for #manga though, so please feel free to post this sort of thing there in the future
okay got you. my evidence isnt as sound yet
@stone bolt please keep feedback respectful in this channel.
not wind. Air. Logia of Air is something one's can't catch since it's tasteless, odorless and shapeless. would explain how he seems to be randomly teleporting when we saw him.

Wind is the horizontal motion of air. And there is no ''air logia'' there might be a wind paramicia or air paramicia.
We don't know if there are no " air logia "
My bad there might be ''air logia'' .But Dragon doesn't have logia type devil fruit. He uses more of a paramecia type.
you dont know this
I am still wondering if Atlas is still the traitor and that York that shot shaka is a disguised Atlas, while the Atlas that is with Chopper and Robin is a hologram.
Bro take smoker as an example he is a ''Logia'' type devil fruit, But he doesn't have that many abilities. But when we see dragon he can manipulate wind, change weather. We don't know about other abilities yet so.
Blackbeard is also a logia and does seem to have special abilities so your argument doesnt necessarily hold up. Either way I also don't think it will be a logia but you can't say for certain
Could also be a mythological zoan
BlackBeard has the dark-dark fruit i'm taliking about air type devil fruit's.
You were talking about logia abilities, not air type devil fruits
Bro if i was talking about abilities why would i choose smoker's devil fruit. I know logia has many abilities like kizaru or akianu and aokiji. I specifically chose smoker bcuz of his air type devil fruit.
yeah and its a different fruit so it doesnt matter if it bears similiarities in concept, it wouldnt disqualify an air logia from having different abilities like others
And you have to be physically there to use a Logia. Take any logia type Devil aokiji akainu smoker BB. They have to physically there to use there devil fruit. Unlike paramecia you can hit opponents without making physical contact (like Gura-Gura no mi). Unlike Dragon's abilities.
We havent seen dragons abilities fully so what makes you say that
Back in loguetown he was using his abilities without making physical contact. Causing Hurricane.
Yeah and other logias do that too, like Ceasar taking away oxygen in the immediate area
It is his devil fruit name Gasu-Gasu no mi. He was in contact of air(air is a type of gas) So.
Yeah and the air logia man would also be in contact with air, you're not saying anything with this
Bro he literally made it rain on a hot day. Does this air logia also produce rain powers.
Since this is a discussion on a tangent from Christoff’s initial assertion and is mostly speculative, let’s take this to #manga-serious
I don't think this is definite. But I was thinking maybe Imu has parallels to Doffy. I'm thinking this because Doffy was like the new world Croc. If u don't believe me look at the final punch they both took. Bare with me. One of the differences between both of them is that Croc used to want to become Pirate King, kind of like luffy but with less grace. I think Doffy wouldn't mind the title pirate king but his intentions are all about control underneath him even though he likes freedom obv (Ik that sounds obvious but he's a 'free' pirate who likes to 'control'). So maybe Imu parallels Doffy like Luffy parallels Croc. Not to mention Croc still has a strange secret or two. And we don't know if Imu is a real celestial but he lives like one, Doffy is a noble so that's another parallel. Ik about the Imu being Zebec related theory but maybe it's not that or a bit of both
The revolutionary army has access to Impel down since Morley the giant is the one who created the tunnels when he escaped 100 years ago
I think it is nearly definite that Doflamingo was meant to parallel Imu and there's shots composed entirely for this purpose along with things like Doflamingo using "16 holy bullets" which seemed to be very similar to the attack Imu destroyed Lulusia with. I don't feel the Luffy/Croc connection is nearly as strong though.
Arcs such as Skypiea, and Long ring long land arc are overlooked for future one piece implications but I think they server major significance in the story
Starting with Skypiea, we theorized how the ancient energy source was electricity (Enel, eletricity), and how Enel made the first electric powered machine, his ship but also on his cover story. On his cover story we learn of a civilization on the moon, and on the front of chapter 470 (471 included), we see ancient illustrations drawn depicting how the little robots were made via electricity (can be implied with the coils used over them but there is a mysterious thing in a bubble standing over the laid down robot that i cannot figure out what it is), which can imply how the ancient civilization of the void century could have made the civilization on the moon and this could be remains from then.
Now the more important thing I do not know how to explain is the panel of Ganfall, Wiper, Zoro, and robin standing up to enel on his little ball in the air. This can represent something that we may see in the future, 4 yonkos standing up to someone (Imu??), or a wild stretch, the four seas connected to something. Small side note, but I do STRONGLY believe that the panel will come up of great importance sometime in the future.
Now on to Long ring long land, this arc is heavily overlooked but I don't think this was a stupid addition or arc added for no reason, the significance of this arc is the mention of Davy Jones. Davy Jones is an iconic name when it comes to pirates and the mention of "davy jones locker" proves how he has connection to one piece/ could be involved. The addition of this arc was to introduce Davy Jones and I believe he will be a charecter who will show up some time in the future
Someone mentioned linking The Sun, Moon and Earth into some theories.
With Sanji's Eyebrow being ever prominent in the series, I had a throwback to (from the wiki) SBS v7, Chapter 55, Page 46.
D: Why does Sanji-san's eyebrow curl up at the end? Is it for fashion? Make it clear!!
O: Hey!! You there, sit down!! Now listen!! Everyone lives in circles!! The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth all spin in circles!! And!! If the Earth suddenly stopped spinning!! The planet would be covered in tidal waves!! It would be terrible!! Now remember that Sanji's eyebrow channels that same powerful circular energy!! Reflect upon this!! You may go!!
and I'm just throwing this out there for any of them to help their case.
Sorry this isn't long mods, didn't know where the community that could use this would find it the best.
@bitter seal @wispy kayak both of you have made really good observations, but it’s probably more beneficial to put them in #manga-serious where people make shorter thoughts/ideas and general observations/interpretations.
so did you guys hear about blackbeard wanting to lure garp with coby to steal his memories with pudding ?
i did hear that, and honestly it feels like the only way we'd actually get to see god valley
so i just had a thought on the episode of Whole Cake Island im on. the seducing woods fuck up your sense of direction and make you super lost. If zoro did come to WCI to get sanji, would he have been able to make his way through since hes already a master at getting lost??

ok sorry! ill remember that next time :)
Why Luffy will die at/by the end of the series(and how it can be prevented):
Luffy will most likely die by the EOS. For multiple reasons. In many arcs. This will consist of Wano Arc, Marineford Arc, and Enies Lobby Arc. So spoiler warning after this.
Throughout the series, Luffy has used many Gears, abilities, and boost, and many of them have been hinted to remove his lifespan. Here is a list; Ivankov’s Boost(10 years), Gear Second(Unknown), Gear Third(Unknown), Gear Fourth(Unknown), and Gear Five(Unknown).
Now here is where the theory comes in. Luffy has used his gears many times. Many of which have been called out to shorten lifespan. Rob Lucci has called out that Gear Second and Gear Third put way too much strain on Luffy’s body. After that, Dark King Rayleigh states that Gear Fourth does the same, but worse. Finally, Gear Fifth, which seems to have a drawback where he rapidly ages older, then younger again. This most likely gets rid of his lifespan.
But in Impel Down, Luffy lost more lifespan. Due to Magellan’s efforts, Luffy got poisoned. This poison removed some of Luffy’s lifespan, again, due to Ivankov’s hormones. In Marineford, Luffy uses Ivankov’s hormones again! Causing at least twenty years off his lifespan!
Now, there is one more reason why he may die, his parallels to the king of the pirates, Gol D. Roger. As many know, Gol D. Roger was executed, and was very sick. Could some of Luffy’s gears eventually cause this? One more thing, this is referencing another theory, so it may not be accurate, but Laugh Tale’s Devil Fruit sickness. Luffy ate a devil fruit. Could this cause problems to him? If he wants to become King of the Pirates, he needs to find the One Piece. Could this cause critical injury/sickness to him?
Now, if I do the math, if he has a lifespan of 100 years. How many years does he have left? 100-(10x2)= 80-19(how old Luffy is)= 61. Doesn’t seem that bad currently. But from injurys he has faced, gears that have been used, I say <50 yrs.
I forgot to say how it can be prevented. This part is very loose though. This would require many doctors, and resources. Chopper, Kureha, Marco, and Law. Each would be important, with Marco applying temporary relief, Kureha using her great knowledge to help, Law using his room, and Chopper using many medicines that were learned from different locations. Now this may not be enough to stop Luffy from dying. So I have two final resorts. An artificial Op-Op No Mi created by Vegapunk to use the Immortal Surgery. Though this requires someone else to die, and we don’t know if it would be given, or if they replicated the Immortal Surgery. So this would be more somber, though require a better outcome. If Trafelgar D. Water Law uses the Immortal Surgery. This would be sad. But make a nice death for Law. With Luffy now living. He would see Law die as he gets to continue to live, he remembers in Marineford when Law saved him, and says: “You saved me again…” while crying. Then, Law dies in Luffy’s arms. Then, Luffy gives him a funeral, and inherits his crew into his fleet. This is a sad theory, but it works out for Luffy in the end.
That is a common misconception with the Lucci fight but in that fight Lucci was actually saying that "Luffy is already straining his body too much as is, using gear second will start to hurt him permanently because he's in a bad state at the moment and that would push him beyond his limits" not "every time he uses it, he loses part of his life"
Ah, thank you for saying this.
what u guys think of morj's latest vdeo?
Does it involve info from 1079?
No just positing about the whole set up of egg head etc
The Morj video says that the knowledge from Punk Records will end up being diffused through brain waves to the population of the world.
I strongly agree with the idea.
One additional argument in favor of the theory is the symbol of Egghead being an egg, which suggests it will hatch to release what's inside it : Vegapunk's knowledge
I just want to add on to this a bit more:
-
Hanuman can change his size to be a giant whenever he wants, the same ability was shown by Luffy ( Gum Gum Gigant ) in the fight against Kaido
-
Hanuman is also a shape-shifter, this could be related to the fact that Luffy can somewhat modify how he looks and can create things out of nowhere ( shapeshifting his hair into goggles ) but it might be considered a stretch
-
Hanuman was cursed as a child to forget his powers, but he later could use them again, which can be considered similar to a Devil Fruit awakening
Bro i knew about the 1st two but the third point is very good i didn't knew that.
I didn't see the first 2 points mentioned so I thought you didn't know it
No i knew about the first 2 but last one made a good point So. Great work.
Thanks
Alright not really a Theory but a Hypothesis
I hypothesize that Imu could have Moon God Powers this would control the tides it would contrast Luffy sun god well, The Lunarians I believe are actually from the moon
Enel being Able to travel to the moon and Breathe in space along with the fact that its possible to reach space via Balloons makes me believe the Moon is actually within the atmosphere of "Earth" (not sure if the OP world has a Different name lol) and that the reason most of the world is ocean and the weather is so sporadic and compasses do not work in the grand Line Being from the intense gravitational pull. Defeating Imu would return the world to what it was before which would be a united one Making it into "One Piece" A Pangea Like Continent as the Tides go down, And Potentially Luffy has a party with everyone in the whole world as a Celebration at the end.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the OP verse have multiple moons? I'm referencing the globe in Ohara in Robin's flashback but idk if that was in the manga
Just found it in chapter 392, the OP verse has 6 moons (planets?) orbiting it. I know you said it's only a hypothesis but just providing info to help build off of it
This could Be only a Theoretical thing In universe though like how We thought that the Earth was the Center of our Galaxy and everything revolves around it, geocentric instead of heliocentric. As we know from Egghead Knowledge has regressed quite far from what it once was.
Oh that's a valid point. I feel the way Oda includes details it's likely multiple moons but I'm also not entirely familiar with the cover stories with Enel so it's quite a bit of speculation, but that's what most of OP is
So, considering how dirty they did Kidd, I think there is not so much hope for Law against BB. However, I guess that Law would have given more fight and actually damage or hurt BB (who is still not at the same category as Shanks). I believe that next time we see BB, if he is going to be zehahahing while rooming all over the place, he will be doing it with either a) an eye patch, b) a wooden leg, c) a hook, or d) any combination of the above
I feel like BB wouldn't be able to use the op op fruit though because as far as the story has shown, he doesn't seem to have much medical knowledge and I believe in the Law backstroy, Rosenante says you need to have some medical knowledge to really use the fruit
However in 1079 there's a BB crew ship coming to egghead with what some people says looks like Law's head on the ship, which could mean a few things. Either A) Law lost, had his DF taken, and was revived with the op op fruit and used as an "example", B) there could be a way to take a fruit and keep the person alive in a way we havent seen yet, or C) Law removed his own head from his body so he can't use the power since he needs to say room for it to activate and his crew has the body and BB has his head. I'm sure there are other things we could consider but those are the things that come to mid on that
Ultimately I think that Law would be able to win but will have to make the choice to save his crew which is what will be his downfall in the fight
Just had a lil read up. The law head on the front of the ship. I think that's just the standard skull and swords we have seen on the BB ships.
I do think what has happened to Kid makes things not look bright for Law. We gotta remember the supernova were never planned Oda just made them up on the spot. They oddly became fan favorites so he gave us more like "Fan service". I don't think they are integral to the bigger picture/plan of one piece. Oda has said in the past he is going to make the biggest war in manga history. I think if you are gonna make such a statement you are gonna start chopping heads. All the fake out deaths could have all been to make us feel comfortable. So when this final saga hits. It hits harder than ever. I legit think from narrative at this point supernovas are fodder enough but impact enough to be the first to kill off
I agree with Crosshire, that is definitely not Law's head on-screen
Idk if I said this awhile back but for awhile when it didn’t say what happened to Sabo and his team to rescue Kuma, I thought they might have been caught then be used as the next pacifistas
Ahhhh I see now. Some peopl made the claim I assume due to the dark spots on the back of the skull looking a little like Law's hat so I built on that but that helps make much more sense
I started to think why oda would give a bounty of 3B to both Kidd and law if he would get rid of them immediately after wano?
So I think the reason was to make both shanks and Blackbeard look greater, like how would Blackbeard bounty get bigger, he had a 2B bounty so he would need to get rid of law so his bounty would get bigger. And the same thing to shanks bounty.
So I think after this chapter shanks bounty is probably in the 4.5B + and Blackbeard is in the 4B Mark.
Bigger question to theorize. Is BB himself heading to egghead or is it just a few crew members? Because that changes everything in terms of Garps rescue mission
I went back through to double check this and haven’t found anything conclusive about Shanks for this (mainly cause we know so little about him) but… I think Oda teased Shanks being able to use the Rokushiki [six powers] and uses sky walk this most recent chapter.
Specifically, the second to last page shows him having sprung off a railing to leave Kid’s ship
Maybe aokiji
Oh god, Aokiji arriving would be a bit fitting/funny considering the island is basically about to be Ohara'd
And kizaru there

Simple theory on York's contingency to prevent the WG from killing her: What if she set up a kill switch/fail safe where if she dies, Vegapunk's research on the poleglyphs gets released to the world ?
@wheat star please go to #bots if all you want to do is post random reactions/emojis.
Could you please elaborate? How would she achieve that with the technology we’ve seen thus far? She already knows that the WG want all of the satellites dead, but for some reason still told the Stella she will become a Celestial Dragon. Not to mention she called the Cipher Pol agents she captured as “hostages”. If she had the power to disseminate knowledge, then wouldn’t VP’s dream have come true?
Punk records may hold the key to how
this sfx signifies heavy footsteps and is present throughout One Piece and especially Egghead, notably for people wearing Dom shoes
