They take Doom 1 & 2 and make them full fleshed out stories

I haven't read 3, but read 4 since I own physical copies of them, 3 was used on Amazon for $130 and I was not paying that much for a novel

The last two from what I understand kinda do their own thing, they're connected to the first two, but don't follow the same approach. I kinda wished at least 4 was based off of Doom 64

Bc that ends the classic Doom era storyline. And then Dark Ages, 2016, and Eternal continue on from it but those are years after Doom 64

But if I'm being honest, I think despite how good the first two Doom novel are, the franchise would work way better in comic form rather than novel
