It's a pretty common glitch, because usually an Imp is stuck out of bounds. You have to either restart the checkpoint or try to jump over the orange barrier (It's possible)

I loaded a TAG UN save file (I died but it didnt remove the save for some reason) and I couldnt bring up any weapon; like my hands were cut off and was just a torso running around

Trying to get better, so I've set up two save files, one on Nightmare, the other one UN. Trying to get through the first level on Nightmare without dying so I can go through it on UN, and I managed to do so for the very first time. Also in order to git gud no HUD... Bit scary but I'm glad I did it. Exultia will be hard, and I'm a bit scared.

You have to keep progressing through the level. Behind you there should be a launch thing to send you to the next part. Keep going until you get to the part with the big door that opens to a parkour section. Don't go into the big door tho, instead turn around and check the corners of that area for the way that leads you back to where you are now.
