Chaingun shield is clutch too. I don't like to tell people to do certain quick swap combos because honestly I feel like that comes down to your personal style. I'd say always keep a circular rotation and don't get to focused on pumping damage in one spot as it will cluster enemies too much. You want to always have plenty of shield up and watch out for the large AoE attacks that should prompt you to move underground or strafe the portals

I think that DOOM teaches us to be so comfortable in the arenas that we struggle with bosses (at least I do). So I always recommend to not hyperfocus on the boss

Personally I find the Exultia slayer gate the trickiest because you don't have access to your full kit. I really like to hold 3 chainsaw charges to take out one of the dread knights. I also tend to use the plasma burst and keep charging it up on fodder so I can glory kill for health/ammo, then use the burst to stagger revenants. I typically bounce between the two portals to keep fodder from overwhelming that central platform since you don't really have great AoE weapons this early on.

I struggled with it the most early - hell when I did make it to Taras Nabad I flew through that gate with east but Exultia took some reconfiguring

You have to be intentional with your chainsaw gas usage. But if it doesn't work for you - then don't do it. I still like combat shotgun grenades/plasma bursts for this gate regardless. That just takes one enemy down faster but if you aren't able to conserve the gas then just adjust!

also probably nullified by the fact the marauder is resistant towards most heavy hitting weapons

even though the marauder has less health, it would take 7 ssg shots to kill it as opposed to the 4 it would take to kill a cyber mancubi, so it balances out

Super buggy, super inconsistent and sporadic AI behavior, lagless wolf spam even if fodder shoots him. Doesn't falter most of the time.

Also lately the vast majority of the time he doesn't even do his "green eyes" moves anymore, either I'm unlucky, or a recent patch broke something in the game that makes his green light attack nearly non-existent now.

And even when he does function correctly, he's just too easy and lame.

it’s bulldozer in particular, a major glitch, basically just prep it with weapon wheel, dash into enemy, when dash is finished, pull up energy shield, now the game will confuse the energy shields passive state of walking into an enemy with the dash, and basically do both at the same time, applying a damage instance of 200 per frame that it’s making contact via dash

this also can be amplified with methods of timeslow that boost your simulated framerate

It's just Eternal is weird sometimes where if something doesn't work, like a door not opening for some reason as an example, you'll have to get close, then far away, and then close again before it starts to work.

i got most of the damage values through a damage spreadsheet in the pinned messages of this channel, most of which I have memorized, i have also played the game with cheat engine on before to see my damage and enemies health in real time, so I’ve gotten a pretty good grasp on all of it

microwave beam: 55 ( most likely wrong )
heat blast: i know tier 3 is 700, and I think tier 1 is 300, so I’ll go on a limb and say tier 2 is 500
rocket launcher base fire: 900
remote det: 600
lock on ( all 3 rockets ): 2700
Super shotgun: 1600
Ballista base fire: 860
Dblade: tier 1 800 tier 2 1600 tier 3 2400
Arbalest: 1600
Chaingun: i think liek 20 per bullet
Mobile turret: 24 per bullet
Energy shield bash: 200
BFG: 4000 damage on direct hit, i wanna go out on a limb and say that the splash is 3000 and the projectile itself is 1000, i think the tendrils do about 400 damage per tick or whatever it’s called
Unmaykr: 600 per shot, 200 per bullet ( 3 are fired at once, 1 ammo worth though )
Crucible: 10000 if somehow it doesn’t automatically trigger an animation

that’s just the weapon stats I’ve memorized, im not as brushed up on the enemies however

one of my friends here has joked that i know more about the game than some of the devs, which is actually true to a certain extent, Theres a glitch where killing enemies quick enough together before more can respawn can progress an encounter further, sometimes ending it if it’s at the end of it, i talked about this strat before and i vaguely recall a dev saying they patched out all known instances of this, however just the other day during some current patch shenanigans I actually found out that they did Infact miss at least one instance of it

a quirk with whiplashes in immora

usually the encounter is supposed to go, you kill a whiplash, another one spawns, and they keep spawning until you’ve killed a total of 4, 2 spawn originally, the final wave of the first escalation encounter normally does not start until all 4 whiplashes are killed, but killing the two at the same time with a dblade makes the final wave spawn, along with the whiplashes that were supposed to spawn beforehand, which is definitely faster because the route calls for a BFG to finish the wave ( so you basically just ignore them )

lining them up for a dblade may seem slow but whiplashes have the most inconsistent ass AI of any enemy that i Can think of, and the fact they’d be spawning one at a time and then you track them down, which they might just slither around behind walls avoiding you or hide in some weird part of the arena if your RNG is exceptionally bad
