You have to punch and then reequip it, it’s possible through weapon wheel although it’s not advised, you’re better off binding it to an allocated button

Leave the combat shotgun relegated to the weapon wheel because it’s the only punch swap that doesn’t require you to reequip the weapon as it’s not cancelling the equip it’s just cancelling the animation of firing, making it around 30% faster

I kinda got this idea from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows' tendril grab.

Like, for bulky heavy enemies like the cacodemons, pain elementals, knights, barons, and archviles etc., the hook can work as it usually does.

But for fodder enemies like zombies and imps, the hook could instead pull them towards you instead.

Cuz then it allows you to strategize who you wanna grapple onto and for what purpose.

hey its been a bit i play on steam deck now im a bit rusty since its been a while since ive played. any recommendations on weapon wheel customizations? i like staying on the move staying in the air with constant dashes and meathooks. focusing down on big targets with fast firing weapons. i use the runes air control seek and destroy and chrono strike. i had originally used sticky bombs for cacos but found frags work better and i use energy shield in areas where my normal playstyle is impossible to use. any ideas on how to customize my wheel with that idea in mind?

So let's say 4 buttons for all dpad directions. Probably would want quick access to ballista, SSG, heavy cannon (for precision bolt), and....... Hmm... Maybe energy shield just to have on a bind? Or maybe BFG just so you don't accidentally equip BFG from the wheel?

Admittedly this just isn't my forte. But that's how I would do it if I was doing controller

Funnily enough even though I use all keybinds for weapons I did have a system in place for weapon wheel for awhile XD It had to deal with how I moved my mouse for yeethoks and not wanting to accidentally swap off of hook, or swap to ballista...

That said I think now with double Dblade, I'd probably need to rework my weapon wheel to have something to use for that.

Make saving throw your first rune and then alt f4 when it activates, you’re pretty much immortal by the time you get the exultia, although it’s much more rewarding doing it the legitimate way
