i just did it yesterday, let me say it's super hard, I mean most of the level is super intense but is doable but there's 2 arena that are nerve wracking, especially one in particular that if you don't have the neccesary bfg and crucicle charges you are fucked. (that's what happened to me so i retried this arena between 30-40 times until I finally beat it)

In general it's to allow for fine tuning aim, ie you can make smaller movements easily and the aim then accelerates for making sharp turns.

Problem is that it may also hinder your performance by the variable sens, eg making a sharp turn now takes too long and enemies often fall into the "awkward zone" where sense is mid high and it just makes it horrible to aim. Better just have one designated aim sens which allows for sharp turns and learn to handle your joystick more carefully, the reward is much more gratifying.

This whole endeavor of changing sens is problematic. A real rifle, you start with mechanical zero and then you fire with that until you get a good grouping, eliminating YOU as the variable. Then, once you’ve established consistency with your grouping, THEN you adjust the weapon to match you.

I didn't understand the analogy you presented, but from what I gathered you were saying that you need to get consistent with aiming with one setting and then switch settings? That seems hardly true in my experience, bashing your head in trying to get consistent with one setting only develops bad habits and I find it better to burn all past experiences and start anew in that regard, by following the advice of those I consider to be superior at the game. Then I gauge my fluency at the game following their advice and further adjust it.

Copying them is the first step though. Taking example of my binds, I copied them from someone whom I considered to be an excellent quickswapper, then adjusted them to my own strat. The people who are proficient at the game have already experimented to what the best is, and it is generally beneficial to follow in their footsteps.

Again, I don't disagree but there are some universal basics that apply all the time. EG trying an egregiously low sens will inhibit your bboosts, and also your sharp turns. But a fast sens inhibits your fine aim but lets you flick much better.
