We like to screenshare our art programs. It would be nice to be able to share the art on my screen, as well as share youtube videos for us to watch while we work.

Suggestion: Allow for commands to be deployed within threads. As it stands now we cannot warn/mute/ban within threads. As a relatively new but fundamental feature for discord it is a must to have the ability to moderate freely within threads.

Make premium make more sense, ur bot does nothing more than what other bots do for free, it only has a few commands in which most are locked for premium, which makes ur bot useless

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Fact is that most big bots rn (like Dyno and more) are owned by some large companies with big revenues. We aren’t, so admins have to find more ways to attract premium members. They chose to make the majority of the bot premium, and it’s their choice, as long as it runs fine and people keep using MEE6 they won’t see any issue. We still get thousands of new invites each day

Would be nice if "timers" offered more advanced scheduling, like schedule randomization or post every x minutes. Right now, multiple timers sometimes post at the same moment and this can fill an entire screen. So more granular scheduling but also an ability to temporarily disable a timer would be extremely helpful.

1. You will need 2 roles called "verified" and "not verified" so when people react to the message, they become verified.

2. Go to your channel settings. :gear: > permissions >
Deny the read messages permission for the "not verified" role, for each channel so they can't see the channels.
Allow the read messages permission for the "verified" role, for each channel so they are able to see the server.

3. Create a channel called #Verification and allow the "not verified" role to read messages here in the channel permissions.

4. Go to your MEE6 dashboard https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and select your server, then the Reaction Roles plugin. :reactionroles:
In the template provided, select the #Verification channel, and edit the reaction message to your liking.

5. Add some reactions for MEE6 to give by selecting an emoji, then click on the + to assign the roles (verified and not verified), also disable the setting "Allow members to pick up multiple roles" then click “Save”
MEE6 should have now posted your reaction message in your verification channel.

6. Finally go to the message and remove the "not verified" reaction by clicking the 3 dots on the message > reactions > click the X on the not verified reaction, to make things look clean

Hello! A feature I'd love to see for leaderboards would be to be able to see it not just by user but by role too, to see which roles have the most collective XP. I really think that when someone leaves a server, their rank gets taken down on the leaderboard, and when they join back, they get they rank back... It would make it better so that when someone wants to see their rank it will be of the leaderboard of people IN that server.

The Muted role channel permissions should be updated to disable the new Public Threads and Private Threads permissions. Currently, anyone with permission to make threads will always be able to talk in them, even if the "send messages" permission is disabled for the parent channel (by design).

is it possible to add a whitelisted role option for the Restricted channel so member's/bot's message in a channel with that role will not be deleted?

in my case there is some few bots that doesn't support yet/I made them cannot use slash command, and sometimes the bot's message is deleted

I tried adding the bot's role into Moderator Roles and it doesn't help my case, hence I tried to suggest it here.

I know I just posted for help just now, but another guy has been requesting for help for the same issue for a few days now and no one has helped him.

I’m advocating for the people. But considering your bot is in 12+ million servers, and I’m sure quite a few of those are premium, you can have the mentality of, “If we lose a consumer it doesn’t matter since we will just gain more.” Which drives things more towards the money aspect rather than customer service and support.

I was thinking of the new Temporary vc feauture. That we add an option to add another vc. For example a "waiting for move" vc that is accessible to everyone. and the owner of said vc is able to move them in the actual private vc.

When a member joins a server or updates their username have a list of things that are allowed.

Add more advanced costom commands like for example a person types: !kill @Insertpersonhere and the bot says: @Insertpersonhere died from a lack of selfcare. That means that the bot can understand user imput in costom commands and it would be usefull too if you could add code to costom commands so that you can script commands completely on your own!

The banned and allowed channels list is basically saying that the Devs should add in a allowed channels section for each individual command rather than just having a banned channels section.
Global banned/allowed means having a option to set command restrictions (such as banned/allowed roles/channels) via the plugin themselves rather than by each command. It also suggests having a bot wide banned/allowed list that can be used for multiple plugins

I would like the option to add reaction icons to the embeds. This way MEE6 will be able to compete with event bots and raidplanners. Example, I can already make a command !event x x with the custom info in the embed. But I cannot RSVP people with reaction icons, like the event bots do.
I think this is a simple addition that will enhance the custom commands a lot!

Not actual possible as muting someone works by giving members a role and you can't add roles to ppl who have left a server. The bot does however track who was given the muted role and adds it back automatically when they rejoin the server

Allow channel posts to receive coins.
Coin amount would be a set amount, to prevent spamming setup a timeout to not accept another post for a timeframe, as well, and delete the post, logging to a mod log channel, or selected channel.
i.e. A message posted in a suggestions channel, would receive X coins.

in the spirit of easy fixes done dirt cheap, if MEE6's Timer feature worked like a timer could, giving messages at specific times of day for instance, I could schedule specific pings to specific roles before in-game daily and weekly quests reset, all kinds of cool reminders, etc. The way it is now is only hour intervals, we can't even provide a custom interval

i have a demonstration of what it looks like using my own bot's userinfo command

compared to this (which by the way looks phenomenal if i might add)

as you can see the date and time is different between the time stamp and the unlocalized time in MEE6's message

any discord api lib worth its salt will have a way to convert the discord joined_at date into a unix timestamp

My idea for integration would be that the Bot can be set to post job posts to a certain channel based on parameters such as keywords. When a new video has gone live, but get it to not add the link in the post not link the video directly?

And perhaps have Mee6 post the thumbnail of that video, but still on the link.

Why:
YouTube favors viewers that come "natural" to a video, instead of from "3rd party sites".
Because it's recommended not to link videos directly in your SoMe - to better "game" the algorithm.

Having people just be notified of new upload, so they can go to YouTube and find it instead.
This will give a bigger effect on the algorithm for recommendation of a video.

Hello, MEE6 staff. I've just bought your lifetime plan & I'd like to suggest a feature I noticed the bot doesn't have & that perhaps many would like.

The ability to upload a custom image of your choice, or at least a different (individual) background for each rank card. For example, level 15 rank cards would have a picture of a sunset, level 30 could have a picture of the Earth, etc.

If this is a feature you guys CAN add, I'm sure a lot of people would be pleased. If not, that's okay. Please do ping me when you reply. Thank you!
