Basically, allow for a third option called 'static item' or just 'static' which can't be used nor is a role, but is something you can maybe later sell or trade off (whenever those features get implemented). Basically, every shop item shouldn't have to be an item to either use/a role, y'know.
Like, this newly-publicized feature is such a cool concept, but the implementation you guys did on a general level is so narrow imo. There is absolutely no creative liberty because of the limits you guys have put without even the ability to sell or economize the feature basically
It is so focused on a certain few things to do with it/this feature that it completely destroys the concept and its everless of potential.
It is honestly a bit upsetting at this point, because this happened with the implementation of embeds as well. Everything just seems so stumbly with mee6-implementation that I am just getting tired of offering feedback about it
You guys have so much power with the concepts and features you guys insert, as well as being a very popularized bot with a lot of attention/support, but have close to no consideration/sight for practicality and what potential may lie in keeping most of the playful features open-ended, in a very simple way even.

I have seen ppl suggest a command to get a leaderboard for the economy plugin and I have previously suggested adding a online leaderboard for the economy plugin.
After some thought I think it would be a great idea if the current xp leaderboard also showed a user's coins. Maybe there can be a toggle for if you want the leaderboard to show highest xp or the highest coins. I think that if there were such a toggle it should show both the XP and coin amount regardless and should just reorder the list depending on which setting the toggle is set to

Hello I woould like to suggest a autorole plugin, simple as it is "If user has role {role} then add {role} also to the user." It would allow if for example another plugin add's new users a role, like for example "Twitch sub", then it could also directly add the Role "Viewer" where Twitch sub is only used to show that those users are sub's and the "Viewer" role is the base role with all the permissions.

I would think this was already suggested but is there a way to delete a message if it contains a bad word no matter what? For example, if I blacklist the word “friend”, anytime someone says “friends”, “friend.”, “friend?”, etc should get deleted. Right now, they don’t get automatically deleted which creates the possibility of people typing out extremely racist words without the bot immediately catching it.

Hello! I'm new here, and I came just for this purpose. I kind of have a dual-suggestion here.
Firstly, documentation in general. It seems many parts of the bot have little to no documentation about most of it's features. Reading up a bit it seems most of the suggestions are about economy, so I'd hate to add onto that, but seriously. Many commands and aspects have little to no documentation. But it's not just that. I know I was looking at the music module and had the same issue. There's a lot of commands with different settings, but very little info about what they actually do on the dashboard.
Secondly, yes, the economy. I understand why, it seems to have about 50% of it's functionality, and it doesn't work without the other half. Here's just a few examples of what I mean:
- It's possible to trade items with other players, but not coins to buy/trade items they have?
- It's not possible to make the shop "buy" items / give coins to the people at the cost of an item.
- There's no way to edit the amount that the daily command gives people
- You can make the shop give people roles, but not take roles away?
- Is it possible to make usable items execute commands in their text box? Or does it just give the text?
- I guess this is kind of locked behind premium and the givecoins command, but there's no way to regulate people getting coins through events or quests and stuff, only through the daily quests (which are random) and the games (which use luck)
There's no way to directly give people items, other than making them free in the shop. Basically, no /give-coins but for items.- There's no way to expand the buy requirements for items, such as requiring a role or having to give in another item (think almost like "upgrading" an item
- There's barely documentation for any of this (which is my first point). Like man, it took forever to figure out the coin range for !daily

I might have bad memory, but last time I remembered, there weren't any 'how many of x shop-item will be available to buy in shop?', so I am just gonna propose this idea as something that can promote the feature in an alluring way to maintain rarity and further spices to a potential shop on any server really.
To be clear, the suggestion depicts a subchoice to be made where you choose whether or not a certain item being added should be in the shop indefinitely/have an indefinite number of buyables, or if it should have a limited number of them in there with a number to limit the amount of items released.

The amount of time it has been in #┃upvote-suggestions does not affect it's chances of being added. Embeds, Birthday plugin and Economy were in there for 3+ years by the time they all got added. It's up to the devs on what they want to work on

I can see that can be annoying but most ppl use symbols for prefixes, and trying to make the prefix uni-formal to make it non case sensitive would be complicated (at least from what I understand about coding). they'd have to do a check of it was a upeer case, lower case or symbol. if it's a symbol then bypass following steps but if it's a upper case then find its's lower case counterpart, plus they'd then need to store 2 prefixes in the db (i'd assume)

Sure! Exemple : Mee6 could have also an amount of coins (you personalize it). And the coins you give to players or remove is directly associated to this amount. Kind of monopoly bank. So it could limit the total amount of coins etc etc. — French here, I apologize for my English.

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.
Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.
We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.
We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Two other ideas for the economy plugin:
-A bank system: there would be a command like !bank
With !bank put 300 you could put 300 coins at your personal bank
With !bank take 100 you could take 100 coins from your personal bank
Every day you get 2-5% coins interest
-A weekly command
With !weekly you get 20-30% of your coins as reward
The two ideas are especially for rich people, because for them 100 coins (for example from !daily) are nothing

When you like to use Paypal you cant pay it without a stripe card, like the rules say for subscription model you must have one.

What do you mean? If I'm understanding your request, you can already manage this through roles you create in your server and which roles you give access to the commands in Mee6.

I kind of like it. if anything I'd suggest making item ids a little easier somehow. but if you wanna name an item "a big ugly blob of spoilers" then you have the option of either buy a big ugly blob of spoilers or buy a1b2c3d4. perhaps if there was a way of numbering the items to buy item1 but I do like the idea of adding the id to some capacity just for the namesake
but also we could just make things "taco" "pizza" "banana" "green role". the ID gives it a sku like experience which is common for a shop. it's unique and I like it overall 👍

sorry, i didn’t get a ping for your reply! we have made an additional ‘bot master’ role which we wanted to use to allow our boosters to use the full music player features, but it makes them immune to moderation through mee6, saying “you can’t __ a moderator”. the page also says that the bot masters can access our mee6 dashboard which concerns me, so i was wondering whether there is a separate role where it only allows them to use the music commands and not anything else? hopefully this makes sense!

Maybe add in a counting plugin similar to how Unbelievaboat and countr do it. This plugin would let users type sequential numbers into a pre-determined channel. If the user gets a number wrong x amount of times then they can get given a role which prevents them from talking in the channel. Mee6 could also keep track of what the highest number is so far. Mee6 could also reset the counter if x number of mistakes are made by multiple users (but i think such a thing should be optional).
I think this borders on a form of auto responder so maybe the numbers would need to follow the prefix

Timers will only send msgs in a channel if the channel see's regualr activity. If no msgs are sent in a channel for a while then bot will store them until a msg is sent and then will baulk send them.

That's on the server moderators to regulate. For servers with Premium, it isn't limited, but for non-Premium servers it's limited as a way of encouraging the upgrade to Premium. Definitely worth it for music and music quiz features alone. 🙂

Manual
Moderators/everyone (depends on choice) can use a!save-roles {@user}command and!load-roles {@user}command. (again,@useris only for approved roles.) This is useful if roles were needed to be cleared out for server-remaking reasons.

People can get back to where they left off

It would also be great (and helpful for this feature) if we could select an emote to represent each item in the shop, similarly to how you can select an emote to represent the currency symbol.
Side note: Our server has really been enjoying the new economy feature. It’s a great way to increase activity through the !daily and have it be customisable and in sync with the rest of the features. I feel like an !daily XP command was long overdue, but this makes up for it. Some more possibilities for shop items would be great (running a command would do a lot), but overall it’s a great addition to the features.
