Plugin: Welcome, Moderator, or Custom Commands

Add a feature that would allow MEE6 to give an autorole to individuals who have required custom role(s) inserted, even integrated roles.

If the user doesn't have any of the required roles necessary to obtain the autorole anymore, the autorole role is removed automatically by MEE6.

For Example: A server admin could create an autorole called Special. The required roles could be Event Winner, YouTube Membership, and Twitch Sub. Those who have the required roles could be placed collectively under 'Special" on the online list, instead of being separated.

Allows for groups of roles to be created with ease and could reduce clutter for some servers with many hoisted roles.

I have a few suggestions for new features to the bot and I will detail them below. You can contact me for further details if you want to.

  1. Allow mee6 to post to channels with the announcement channel setting enabled. useful for !announce custom commands.

  2. I think mee6 should have a addition to the reaction roles plugin or custom command plugin which gives users a role automatically if they receive a specified role. I know other bots such as Atlas and YAGPDB which do this and I'm sure there are others that do it as well. Not sure if ths sort of falls under auto responders/role which i know has been denied b4.

  3. Add a command to add emojis to the server. say you have nitro and there's a emoji you want on your server you could do !addemoji followed by the emoji and it will add it to the servers emoji list.

  4. It would be nice to have a command to tell you how many servers your in, maybe it could be part of !user-info

  5. Add embed option to the welcome plugin msgs specifically the leave msgs

  6. Allow role rewards to be set to both remove previous rewards and stack previous rewards, at least for one or two role rewards

  7. Add in a leader-board embed option to link the leader-board to a website or reedit page

  8. Add in a timezone converter so if someone says a msg like lets play at 8pm mee6 will react to the msg and if ppl use the reaction the bot can tell them what 8pm would be in their timezone. this timezone converter could be a separate feature and the birthday plugin could just hook into it to get a users timezone info if it needs that information for something such as sending the birthday message at a time specified by the user at the time in their timezone.

  9. Add VCs to the ignored channel list.

  10. Allow users to choose if they want to use image links (such as imgur, GDrive, ODrive)or attach images (like it is now)or embeds.

But in communities where roles can be tiered, it'd help. For instance my unranked and 1st rank roled users are not giving a special tier, but my rank role 2-3 get an extra role manually (through custom command they can trigger), and then 4-5 get another, etc. It helps give seniority and special permissions.

yeah i have a normal level system going on which replaces the previous reward with the new one but once users get to level 10 they get access to our self promo channel, we could set it up so that all reward roles above level 10 get access to send msgs but that seemd complicted to maintain so we went with setting up a role which allows them to post to the channel which we used to add manually but now we do it with a bot called atlas as it has this feature, it'd just be nice to see mee6 have a similar thing.

Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

  • Moderator plugin is enabled
  • !mute command isn't disabled
  • Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
  • Muted role is under MEE6 role
  • You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If user got Muted role but still can talk means there's issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

  • If that's public channel that can be accessed by anyone:
  • Set GrayTick Send Messages for all roles except Muted
  • Set RedTick Send Messages for Muted role
  • If that's secret channel that requires *special* role to access it:
  • Set GrayTick Send Messages GreenTick Read Messages for special role
  • Set RedTick Send Messages GrayTick Read Messages for Muted role
  • Set GrayTick Send Messages RedTick Read Messages for @​everyone role

You should be able to emulate the muted role from the Roles screen in the server settings. to confirm if someone with that role actually gets muted.

Not to be glib, but if the mute settings were correct and they had the mute role, they wouldn't be able to still type.

Either the mute role itself is misconfigured (at the base or in the channels), or another role is set with higher permissions and overrides the mute.

Optional series-of-messages upon leaving/joining a server (in specific channel or DMs) - maximum limit could be 3 or something. Whatever suffices/makes sense.
OR
Optional mix between text and embed messaging - having the text and the embed in the same message to allow tagging, while still having everything in one message, since the tag will shine all around the message this way.

For me, this suggestion helps me with getting images sent as banners for welcoming people while also tagging them beforehand with a good welcome message + being able to tag them as well. If I were to add all of that together, the link of the image would annoyingly sit there, and embeds just aren't tagging them at all in the first place.

One of the biggest problems in big communities is that when a mod posts an announcement or rule, they're the only one who can edit it. By using embeds for a lot of stuff that can be resolved, but embeds are limited.

So what your asking for here is that, when users type !clear mee6 cna see if a message is pinned and if a message is pinned it will ignore it when performing the !clear command? That has already been suggested before as @PeanutOfficial#3867 has said above. the fv=ct that the suggestion is from 2 years ago doesn't affect the likelihood of it being added as #┃upvote-suggestions is just a list of features that the team know ppl want added.

Last time it was suggested, it was for all and any servers the user was a part of, this time it's a refined more feasible feature request

Use: <!requestdatadeletion> in any command channel

Cooldown: A user can use this feature once a month to prevent abuse, and it would be only delete any "message" logs which were edited or deleted and has the users mention. Moderated logs will not be deleted

Time: Logs would be deleted over the span of multiple days to keep under the ratelimit and reserve the ratelimit for other moderation commands

Any user with malicious warn history could be denied this request upon review, to prevent abuse

MEE6 replacing bad words instead of cancelling the whole text. Currently, when a bad word is said mee cancel the text and give a message to dont use a bad words, if instead just cancelling the text it replace the bad word with a non bad word given by us, would be better. This of course mean, cancelling the original message and writing it again without the bad word and with the non bad word given by us by mee6.

I have a few suggestions for new features to the bot and I will detail them below. You can contact me for further details if you want to.

  1. Allow mee6 to post to channels with the announcement channel setting enabled. useful for !announce custom commands.

  2. I think mee6 should have a addition to the reaction roles plugin or custom command plugin which gives users a role automatically if they receive a specified role. I know other bots such as Atlas and YAGPDB which do this and I'm sure there are others that do it as well. Not sure if ths sort of falls under auto responders/role which i know has been denied b4.

  3. Add a command to add emojis to the server. say you have nitro and there's a emoji you want on your server you could do !addemoji followed by the emoji and it will add it to the servers emoji list.

  4. It would be nice to have a command to tell you how many servers your in, maybe it could be part of !user-info

  5. Add embed option to the welcome plugin msgs specifically the leave msgs

  6. Allow role rewards to be set to both remove previous rewards and stack previous rewards, at least for one or two role rewards

  7. Add in a leader-board embed option to link the leader-board to a website or reedit page

  8. Add in a timezone converter so if someone says a msg like lets play at 8pm mee6 will react to the msg and if ppl use the reaction the bot can tell them what 8pm would be in their timezone. this timezone converter could be a separate feature and the birthday plugin could just hook into it to get a users timezone info if it needs that information for something such as sending the birthday message at a time specified by the user at the time in their timezone.

  9. Add VCs to the ignored channel list.

  10. Allow users to choose if they want to use image links (such as imgur, GDrive, ODrive)or attach images (like it is now)or embeds.

  11. Add a current date feature to statistics to show the current date
