Getting IDs on Discord

Discord objects (user profile/server/messages) are composed by IDs.

Currently, there are two ways of getting those.

• 1st - With Dev Mode

1. From your computer
1.1 Click on your User Settings (\⚙ icon)
1.2 Click on Advanced and enable Developer Mode

2. From your mobile
2.1 Swipe to the right (to open the bottom menu)
2.2 Click on the bottom right tab (your profile)
2.3 Click on Appearance/Behavior, enable the Developer mode

Now, from your computer, all you have to do is right-click the objects, and copy its id.

If you're on mobile, you just need to long press, or click on objects to grab its ids.

Their question was so broad, I know they were probably referring to mee6 having triggers, but since the message wasn't specific enough I didn't want to just assume since we all have a different way of relaying information. With that being said, I gave them the solution to what they were asking, of a user being able to type a message (in this case a custom command), and then having mee6 apply a role to them.

Their question was:

is there a way to make it so when someone sends a message it gives them a role

As far as I know, anything typed in the text box is a message, whether it be a command. custom command, or plain text.
