Is it just me or did other communities notice this bot has now put almost all features behind a paywall without much of a notice?

I’ve noticed similar things just suddenly stop working such as !<mod commands>, which is why I asked the question above.

Most features have been Premium for over 2 years now, that's when MEE6 staff made the changes.
Servers that used features that are now Premium can continue using them for free, but they can't be edited unless you purchase Premium. Disabling the features would also lead them to not being able to be re-enabled without Premium.
New servers can't use these features at all without Premium.

Premium is linked to the person who purchases it, not the server.
So someone who purchases it for a server can at any time move it to another server if they wish.
You'd have to know who in your server may have bought Premium in the past, if indeed anyone did.

Just to note - and this isn't a sales pitch, I'm a volunteer and don't work for MEE6 - there's a 50% discount currently if for any reason you decide you need to buy Premium. But that's entirely your choice if you do, or you can look at other solutions if you don't want that. 🙂

If you have Discord's Onboarding or Server Screening enabled, roles on join won't happen until these are completed. So members that don't complete them won't get the role.

If this isn't the issue, then it's likely bot permissions or role hierarchy, see below.

Check all bot permissions are correct (see link below).
If you are using a custom bot (bot personaliser) then check the permissions for that in the custom bot server role (NOT the MEE6 role) as it has taken over from MEE6 (which can be kicked if you wish).

If you have removed the Administrator permission from your bot (custom bot if using that), give it back temporarily and see if it then works. If it does, it's a permission issue. If you then want to remove the Administrator permission you'll need to carefully check all bot permissions both in its server role and in all channel roles.

The role position, and permission are crucial to enable your bot to give roles.

* Visit your server settings -> roles

1. Locate the bot's role and bring it upper than the roles you're expecting MEE6 or Custom Bot to give out.

2. Open the role settings, on the same page, and ensure it has at least Manage Roles permission. Giving Administrator sorts this and many other issues you might have.

PS. Bear in mind that if you have invited a Custom Bot the role is different from MEE6 role, unless you have given a "generic bot's role".

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a MEE6 Additional Bot Master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with the wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

The thread usually keeps the same settings for the channel, you can try to create a thread when there is no slowmode, and then enable it afterwards and see if that helps, if the thread gets the slowmode when there is already slowmode in the main channel, if that doesn't work, then it can't be seperated sadly

why not have a command like /slowmode for the channel and /slowmode-thread for threads in this channel? problem is the following: we have a self-promo channel but dont want it to be spammed. so we have slowmode. but the problem now is that if people want to engage with the selfpromo they cant because of slowmode. and opening threads doesnt help (which would be the desired option)

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a MEE6 Additional Bot Master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with the wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

I understand your sentiments, An Xbox is what I got, dude. Take it or leave it.

Besides, to me there is no reason to me that you can input card information on Mee6's own website, but have to go external for an oauth2. Several platforms use oauth2 within their own 1st party domain. We are even communicating on one right now.

The only problem comes from the Mee6 pulling up a popup instead of a full redirect, while also having js listening to on event prevent right click. Otherwise I'm very capable of using the context menu to force the popup to be a new tab.

a new tab with copy link, I could be already done and added pay option.

All without refresh glitch.

I'm just explaining the issue with console browsers. I'm just a volunteer here. 🙂
Using a browser on a PC or mobile phone will solve your issue.
But if you're able to figure out another way on a console browser, then that's good.

Hey, in such a case you will lose access to Premium features on the server 1, but all your config will be saved. So if you get Premium again on server 1, you will be able to get all your features/settings back easily by simply re-enabling those features.

Like, I was working on a custom command, and then all of a sudden it stops responding, so I refresh and go back to the dashboard and all of a sudden it wants me to setup the bot again.... I havent had the mee6 bot in my server in months (I use a custom version)... Highly irritating.

And of course I found a workaround, because the PayPal linking to Mee6 as a payment plan is done with a popup created by "Chargebee". Edge saw Chargebee as a cross script attack and was auto blocking it to protect me. I had to allow it through, then it worked. My advice? Drop Chargebee like I am trying to drop my cigarette habit.

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a MEE6 Additional Bot Master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with the wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

Hello! I was doing some testing and accepted an invite using a MEE6 link to a different server (copy and pasted the link my friend sent because we wanted to test this out). Also had someone invite using their link and them directly click it. However after I accepted the invite, the invite leaderboard did not update.

Any reason why the leaderboard did not update?
I believe if I did it correctly (shouldn't matter if the link was copied or direct click), the invite number should become 1 instead of 0
It says I didn't use a MEE6 invite link but I did 🙁
