The main reason js because the 4070ti has like a 120 something bit bus width and 12gb vram, which is ok but it's not ideal for 4k and running latest games maxed out textures and so forth. Can cause stuttering etc, especially in future if the bus and vram limits are pushed beyond.

With raytracing

The 4070ti is perfect for 2560x1440p resolution maxed

The 4080 and 4090 are 4k cards

Currently, I have it setup for my verification so that once a member verifies, I assign the verified role, and from there it just takes over. Assigns category roles, removes unverified role, sends a message in our welcome gallery confirming the member has confirmed, grants them 250xp, sends a log message to my xp logs noting why the xp was granted

Neat workaround for now too on there not being any XP for voice chats, by awarding some for joining a voice chat. I guess you have to monitor that though to stop people repeatedly join and leave a voice chat for farming XP.

The role position, and permission are crucial to enable your bot to give roles.

* Visit your server settings -> roles

1. Locate the bot's role and bring it upper than the roles you're expecting MEE6 or Custom Bot to give out.

2. Open the role settings, on the same page, and ensure it has at least Manage Roles permission. Giving Administrator sorts this and many other issues you might have.

PS. Bear in mind that if you have invited a Custom Bot the role is different from MEE6 role, unless you have given a "generic bot's role".

so to ensure i understand, if i set that members who reach level 1 get a role that says level 1 and so on up to level 10 role 10, if say a member who is on level 5, loses enough xp to drop them from level 5 back down to level 4, am i to understand that they will not lose role 5 until they... level back up to role five then regain the same role lost only milliseconds before... or no change? and by that logic im i to further understand that any lose of xp needs to be sufficient enough to drop them by two levels so by the time level 5 drops to level 3 then regains level 4 they would have then had role 5 deducted and no change for role 4?

Most bots count the XP/messages sent once the levels features is enabled.

There is probably one that will let you see how many messages users have sent. Feel free to look it up on top.gg, as I don't know of any

well it's not much of a punishment for demotions... sounds like i will have to make offensive drastic, but even then if someone is just starting out it wouldn't matter much as they level ones will feel no punishment

That is correct, levels roles will only update upon level up.

Please note, the only way to currently remove XP is by using the !remove-xp command (unless using Automations, but wouldn't work for your case)
So, you will have to check the user's level every time they get punished. (hopefully it's not many times 😂)

@pseudo granite i was however wondering and hoping that there will be a lot more than 10 automations when beta is done... i think this feature can really shine, but needs to be waaaaaay more than just 10 automations allowed for this to truly be impactful... something in the some of 500 sounds decent... heck, i'm sure even 100 would help nicely if you really had to cut down on limit

10 is enough for beta testing, once the plugins is fully for release and all the bugs have been fixed. The max will most likely be announced in #〉announcements

sorry, once more, are you saying that XP removed via automations will not yield the same demotion factors even after removing a significant amount of levels via XP and allowing the user's natural progression to the new next level lower than their previous standing to then correct the role allotment?

i had a question regarding XP rate, on the levels tap, if i change the xp rate for all members, will that main the xp rate for subscribers get automatically boosted as well to reflex the same ratios? for instance... if my general member XP rate is set to x3, where as before it was set to 0.25x, would then my subscripted members with a membership xp boost of x2 get x2 the amount of xp on the 3x general xp rate. or will they get no change or worse even less xp as the general rate is now higher than their subscription rate? It would stand to reason that the ratios will hold the same and increase as with the new general rate... but i want to be certain @pseudo granite

Sorry for all the questions regarding this, i just figured if i increase the earning exponentially then i can add stiffer penalties to remove large amounts of levels and have it noticeable effect the user in role reductions much sooner

ok so by that right i would have to have the general xp rate much lower so that xp boosted subscriber actually get a boost? If that is the case is there any chance of you all changing that to have the ratio auto calculate the boost factors to compound that amount on top of the general xp rate parameters?
