How it works
VoltBot will direct message you, so DMs must be enabled when using the bot

bluebp Go to #1000496188505731112 and join a queue of your choice (for anything more than 1v1s, you have to create a group first by using v-invite @username)
bluebp Once they accept the invite you can queue for group queues!
bluebp Once enough players are matched, the bot will tell you which scenario to play after which you have a set amount of time to achieve your highest score
bluebp You can then send these scores to the bot and it will automatically take the highest one (make sure to screenshot your highest score)
bluebp If your scores are higher than the opposing player you win and will gain ELO (You can use v-elo to view your elo)
bluebp Finally, your results will be posted in the #929477406773899325 so other people can see. A leaderboard and ELO based matchmaking will be added depending on interest, at a later date.

Hey everyone, good news! We are addressing Score Balancing and Scenario Swaps to fix dodge profiles, leaderboard caching issues and issues where players were stuck on an older version of a scenario due to a caching bug.

A lot of you were concerned with some of the score requirements for certain scenarios, with these score nerfs the score requirements for the following scenarios should feel more in line with the other benchmarks of the same category:

bluebp VT Multiclick nerfed by 40 points at all levels (With exceptions to Astra/Celestial with -20 score deduction)
bluebp VT BounceTS nerfed by 20 points across all levels for Novice and Intermediate and buffed by 10 points for Astra and Celestial
bluebp VT Waveshot: Adjusted the score requirements on the Novice and Intermediate versions to be more in line with VT Angleshot

Alongside these score changes, we are also replacing the following scenarios:

bluebp VT Air Varied replaced with VT Air (Bots from S3 benchmarks in the new 1m gauntlet format)
bluebp VT Ground varied replaced with VT Plaza (Bots from S3 benchmarks in the new 1m gauntlet format)
bluebp VT Spheretrack: We are working on improvements for this scenario, but for now it remains unchanged.

Ok everyone, hopefully no more changes for a while. After careful consideration, watching the scores and hearing the opinions of quite a lot of aimers from different skill levels we decided to change the scores for the following scenarios:

bluebp VT Plaza Intermediate: Nerf of 120 to all ranks, so 2680 for Platinum, 2980 for Diamond, 3280 for Jade and 3530 for Master.
bluebp VT Air Intermediate: 50 buff to Master, and additional 50 points of difference between the ranks, so 2450 for Platinum, 2700 for Diamond, 2950 for Jade and 3200 for Master.
bluebp VT Plaza Advanced: GM buffed to 3200, Nova nerfed to 3400, Astra and Celestial nerfed by 100, so 3600 for Astra and 3650 for Celestial.
bluebp VT Air Advanced: 50 nerf to all ranks except Celestial (stays at 3700), so 3050 for GM, 3350 for Nova and 3600 for Astra.

This changes should make the fixed reactive scenarios by @cold island feel more balanced and make it so people get a similar rank to what they had before we made the change to the new scenarios. Hello everyone!, we are happy to announce a brand new Aimlab scenario! we have been working hard to create a better reactive tracking benchmark to replace VT Spheretrack, so we came up with VT Axitrack, a new scenario made to test your reactive tracking skills across every axis (X, Y and Z)! Go check it out!

Also, for the last couple of weeks we have been watching the score balancing between the benchmark scenarios of every aiming category. These issues were very noticeable for the Nova rank across various aiming categories, so with the following buffs the benchmarks of the same technique should feel more equally challenging to achieve:

bluebp VT Smoothbot Intermediate: Buff of 50 points to all ranks, so 3050 for Platinum, 3450 for Diamond, 3850 for Jade and 4250 for Master.
bluebp VT Smoothbot Advanced: Buff of 100 points to all ranks, so 3300 for GM, 3600 for Nova, 3950 for Astra and 4000 for Celestial.
bluebp VT Plaza Advanced: 75 score buff to GM and Nova, so 3275 for GM and 3475 for Nova.*
bluebp VT Evats Advanced: Nova score requirement increased from 730 to 740.
bluebp VT Skyts Advanced: Nova score requirement increased from 1420 to 1450.

*After this change we will evaluate if a nerf is needed for the score requirements of VT Air Advanced.

Buckle up! We are making a lot of changes that should really help all of our benchmarks feel much more rewarding!

We noticed that a lot of players were preferring to play only some of the scenarios from each subcategory, which lead to us doing some testing that helped us determine that some of the benchmarks score requirements were much easier to achieve when compared to the other benchmark scenario(s) of the same subcategory.

With these changes we hope that now the scenarios of each subcategory should feel much more "balanced" between each other so you can give scenarios that used to feel much harder a new chance!

VOLTAIC VALORANT BENCHMARKS PATCH NOTES πŸ“ƒ

Hello everybody! I am happy to announce that the Beta testing of the Voltaic Valorant Benchmarks for Aimlabs is finally over!

Over the past weeks since the release of the project we have been taking a look at score balancing as well as ways to optimize the scenario design and we are pretty confident that with the following changes the project will be in an even better state!

SCENARIO CHANGES:

  • VT DotTS VALORANT (all difficulties): redesigned map so it fits better with player's visuals. Some players were experiencing a bug in which the gun stopped shooting for some milliseconds. That should be fixed now!
  • VT Widereflex VALORANT (all difficulties): Removed the light indicators. Some players were reporting that the "traffic lights" were distracting. The original idea behind the lights was to give players another way of quickly realizing the spawn of the next target, but we have decided that since some people were really upset about them it's better to turn them off for the live version of the scenario. If you liked the lights you can still play a version that has them, they are called "VT Widereflex VALORANT [Insert difficulty] Lights" but keep in mind that the score you achieve in them will not count towards your rank.
  • VT Miniphase VALORANT: Adjusted the side "loading bars" so they more accurately represent the time left per phase.
  • VT 1W1T VALORANT (all difficulties): Slightly moved the player back to avoid off-screen spawns and adjusted the size of targets accordingly.
  • VT Skyclick Multi VALORANT (all difficulties): Adjusted the movement pattern of all bots to make them more consistent and less random. Also made all the targets slightly faster and 3-click on all difficulties for consistency's sake. The score requirements on all the variants will remain the same until we gather more plays with the new changes to establish better score goals so keep in mind the score requirements for these scenarios are still subject to change.

πŸ“ƒ Voltaic Valorant Benchmarks - Patch Notes

Hello again! I am happy to announce the next batch of changes to the Voltaic Valorant Benchmarks for Aimlabs!

This time around there aren't as many changes, but we wanted to focus on finishing the balancing of Skyclick Multi, some QOL updates in scenarios and some aesthetic changes! Also these notes serve as an important announcement to those who are still having the "missing weapon" error!

Scenario Changes✏️

  • VT Micropace VALORANT (all difficulties): Redesigned map to prevent the target "bouncing" on the side walls. This wasn't a very common issue because the scenario is divided in two 30 second phases, but theoretically on a run with unfortunate randomness the target could choose to go to one side a lot causing this issue. Now the map is wider so even if the bot goes to one side it shouldn't get all the way to the side walls. Also adjusted the center spawn icon to make it easier to see when the second bot spawns.
  • VT Adjust Track VALORANT (all difficulties): Adjusted lighting on the scenario, before some players using different visuals could have walls that were brighter than the others.
  • VT Angle Track VALORANT (all difficulties): Changed Voltaic logo and colors so that it matches with the other benchmark scenarios. Thank you VT EmpireDeadMan for the changes!

Score Thresholds 🎯

After the last patch we made some drastic to VT Skyclick Multi VALORANT. Now that some time has passed we have taken a look at the leadearboards and have decided on the following score changes to that scenario in order to make it as challenging as the others in the same sub-category.

VT Skyclick Multi VALORANT:
Score between ranks adjusted from 50 points to 100. Angelic buffed to 1450 from 1250, Immortal buffed to 1250 from 1150 and Gold buffed to 1050 from 1000.

IMPORTANT: Missing Weapon Bug πŸ›

Despite being announced in the previous patch notes, some users are still confused as to what they should do to fix this issue. In order to solve this issue you must open Aimlabs, go to "Custom", "Workshop", "Scenarios" and in the search bar search for the scenario you are having the issue with, most likely it will be either VT DotTS VALORANT, VT Skyclick Multi VALORANT or both. Then you must DELETE the scenario with the X next to it's name, and then redownload it again clicking on the Download icon that will appear after it is deleted. You can find a video guide to do this here

In 99% of cases this solves the issue! if the issue persist you can try redownloading the actual gun that is missing. In order to do this you must go to "Custom", "Workshop", "Weapons" and in the search bar search for the weapon that is missing (probably either "3000rpm" or "LG56MultiV2") and repeat the process outlined above (delete and redownload).

App Changes

  • The Voltaic App now has leaderboards!
  • In order to be placed simply make sure to be ranked on any of our benchmarks tiers, register an account, and link your Aimlabs + Discord accounts.
  • Don't forget to pick your country as it will show on the leaderboard, and will allow you to filter on it.
  • Progression charts are now also available to everyone.
  • Celestial Energy is now uncapped upon reaching the Celestial rank. This is to differentiate between top players.
  • Our webapp is still in development, so please to defer to #1132068356355268769 for bug reports/feedback.

Celestial

After internal discussions with the benchmark team, and with the courtesy of @dusty marten, we've revised the current benchmark seasons top rankings.

  • The celestial energy threshold for Season 4 KovaaKs now rewards 1200 energy
  • This is to help with balancing across both platforms, and consistency for leaderboards
  • Celestial is no longer a top 3 moving score target, it is now a fixed score that may/can get adjusted (rarely) as with every other rank
  • This might be the last major change for these seasons as the rest we will address in upcoming seasons.
  • There may or may not be a few more minor adjustments to other ranks, but for now this is all.
  • Celestial score will still need to be submitted on the leaderboard to be valid for KovaaKs.
  • For Aimlabs we will use the replay system, however you may still be required to provide a VoD or stream to obtain ranks.

For our Aimlabs Season 2 scenarios we're changing scores to the following:

  • VT Angleshot Advanced - 1300
  • VT Waveshot Advanced - 1375
  • VT Arcshot Advanced - 1400

After letting the community evaluate yesterday's changes to the Celestial requirements, as well as some light testing, we have decided to change the following benchmark score targets for Season 4 Kovaak's.

VT AngleStrafe Advanced: 1250 --> 1230
VT ArcStrafe Advanced: 1200 --> 1230
VT Air Advanced: 3775 --> 3750

Hopefully, these changes will make the respective scenarios feel more balanced for those grinding for this rank.

πŸ† Update Regarding Webapp Leaderboards

We're currently testing some new changes to our leaderboards that will filter out invalid/cheesed scores (bugs, fov etc.) from the leaderboards. The drawback of this change is that leaderboard updates will be taking 30 hours instead of 6 hours to update, and that is assuming it works (we're still in a testing phase).

Anyway, if you are wondering why your leaderboard position has not been updated recently, this is why.

Also please note that once the new season is released, this leaderboard will be archived, and all positions will remain static, that means that it will no longer be updated. This is because it would take even longer to pull updates to the leaderboards if we include multiple benchmarks over a multitude of seasons. Therefore, we decided that only the Active seasons will receive leaderboard updates.

With this change, our leaderboard will soon also show a progress bar that will display the time of the last update, and progress towards the next one.

Summary:

  • Leaderboards are in testing phase, updates may require up to 30h instead of 6h
  • Reason: Score Validation (bugged, fov cheese etc.)
  • Aimlabs S2 Leaderboards will no longer update once the new season is in effect
  • Reason: Otherwise it increases leaderboard updates times to absurd amounts for a season that is no longer active
  • Progress bar will be added to display time of last update, and progress towards next one.

Don't fret you will still be able to play the old season via the Webapp, but leaderboard positions will no longer be updated once the new season is live!

βŒ› Transparency regarding new Benchmark Seasons

In an earlier announcement we revealed that we're working on the new benchmark seasons for both Aimlabs (S3) and KovaaKs (S5). This is still true, and our team is making progress everyday to get this out as soon as possible.

However, the mark with the ETA was sadly missed, the expected release date was too ambitious. While I had good intentions with giving an ETA, I understand that it may have disappointed/upset some people when we didn't deliver. While a disclaimer was added, we didn't post any further updates, and for that I apologise.

That being said, we do have some updates (no ETA):

  • Aimlabs S3 is right around the corner, our Staff is working on the last moving parts to get the season out.
  • KovaaKs S5 will be the next focal point, and will be a while longer, once the Aimlabs season is out our Bench team can divert all their attention to S5.

Voltaic Aimlabs S3 Benchmarks Beta - Patch Notes πŸ“ƒ

Hello everybody! We are very happy with how the new season has been received so far! We have a lot of changes coming at the end of the BETA, but we wanted to make one special change now to VT Angleshot.

The initial version of Angleshot had two main issues: Overall difficulty and β€œSpawn Cheesing''. To fix these issues the following changes have been made to all versions:

  • Wider map and Spawn area to prevent too many clusters and to help train wider flicks.
  • Slight size increase and speed decrease.
  • Slight spawn delay after eliminating a target to prevent spawn abusing and prioritizing other targets and movement reading.

You can still play the initial version if you want to, it has been renamed to β€œVT Angleshot [Difficulty] S3 Centered”. Keep in mind that the only β€œvalid” benchmark score is the new version though.

Note: all of these changes should already be reflected in your https://app.voltaic.gg profile and the official benchmark playlists! If you don't see the new scenario in the playlist you may need to delete it by going to Custom, Workshop, Playlists and then searching for it and pressing the X.

Bugs

We always try to listen to the community to know your thoughts and to find potential issues we need to solve. So far these is the feedback/bugs we have gathered:

  • Missing Bot Bug: Sometimes a target stops spawning in the scenarios listed below.
  • VT Wideshot
  • VT Boltswitch
  • VT Smoothswitch
  • Steadytrack goes too high sometimes and stays up.
  • You can ADS on Shifttrack.
  • Bot sometimes jump mid-air on Leapswitch.
  • Colored map parts that aren't always in the player FOV can be annoying/distracting, like on Quadshot and Wideshot.

We are working to have all of this fixed when the BETA ends! as always please report any issue you find and thank you for your understanding!

Note: About the BETA, keep in mind that when it’s over we will mostly tackle score requirement changes and solve a few bugs, so it’s very unlikely that your scores will be deleted, feel free to keep playing!

Voltaic Aimlabs S3 Benchmarks BETA - Patch Notes πŸ“ƒ

Hello everybody! We are back with (hopefully) the last batch of changes for the BETA phase of the Benchmarks!

We are fixing some known bugs and making some QoL (Quality of Life) changes! We think this solves all the issues people were reporting, but if we missed something or you find any new errors make sure to report them to us! Thank you for your understanding!

Bug Fixing πŸ›

We have deployed changes to all versions of the following scenarios:

  • VT Wideshot: Fixed a bug that made targets stop respawning.
  • VT Leapswitch: Fixed a bug that made targets "double jump" sometimes.

QoL Changes ⏫

We have deployed the following changes to slightly reduce randomness and address a common complaint:

  • VT Steadytrack: adjusted the target movement so it's less likely that it flies to the ceiling and stays up for a long time.
  • Note that this still can technically happen, but it should feel more consistent now.

Color Changes: Some players mentioned that in some scenarios the Voltaic branding could be distracting so we have removed "solid color" objects in the following tasks:

  • VT Wideshot
  • VT Quadshot
  • VT Floatshot
  • VT Frogshot

Note: all of the above changes should already be reflected in your app.voltaic.gg profile and the official benchmark playlists! If you don't have the latest versions in your game you may need to delete them by going to Custom, Workshop, Scenarios and then searching for them and pressing the X.

Since these changes were minor and didn't fundamentally adjust how any of the scenarios feel, we decided not to clear any leaderboards! All of your scores are safe!

Hello, everyone! We're back with the FINAL batch of changes for our Aimlabs Benchmarks Beta!

This update focuses on Score Requirements. To see the changes immediately, check out the image attached below!⬇️

Note: Regarding scoresβ€”NERF means requirements have been lowered, BUFF means they've been increased, and MIXED means that some ranks within a specific scenario have been both BUFFED and NERFED.

After observing you all play through the BETA, we've made several adjustments to achieve two main goals:
1️⃣ To make this the most challenging season yet.
2️⃣ To ensure scenarios are properly balanced, both within their sub-categories and across broader categories.

While we achieved our first goal early on with the complexity of the new scenarios and our initial score estimates, the second goal required more time. We needed to see how players performed after spending time grinding the scenarios.

Since the beta release, we’ve been tracking players' scores. In the previous patch, we focused on significant adjustments, primarily nerfing scores across most scenarios and difficulties to ensure better balance. The data confirmed we succeeded in balancing, but it also reduced the overall difficulty of the benchmarks, as expected.

Now that enough time has passed, and balance has been achieved, we’re introducing several buffs across the board to ensure the benchmarks provide a strong challenge and accurately reflect aiming skill. These changes primarily broaden score ranges, especially in the top ranks of each difficulty (Silver, Gold, Jade, Master, Astra, and Celestial). Additionally, we’ve buffed both Intermediate and Novice requirements.

We understand it may be frustrating to feel like a score has been β€œtaken” from you. However, these adjustments are necessary. Lower difficulties are designed to serve as training or "stepping stones" toward higher ones. Accurate and challenging score targets ensure players reach a minimum skill level before progressing. For instance, we noticed that Master was too easy to achieve compared to Grandmaster. While GM must remain harder than Master, the gap was too wide, causing Master players to struggle when transitioning to Advanced benchmarks due to the significant jump in difficulty.

We’re confident that once you reclaim your old rank, you’ll find yourself significantly improved!

You may have noticed we are reworking the Voltaic App, featuring a long requested KovaaK's support! Courtesy of @mighty charm.

How to use it

Note that it's in an early development stage, so only profiles are expected to work (no leaderboards, no scenarios/benchmarks/playlists databases yet). However, this should be sufficient for KovaaK's mains out there to abandon google sheets! Here are the steps to get to your kovaaks profile:

  1. Link your discord in KovaaK's account settings
  2. Sign in to the app using the same discord account
  3. You should get redirected to your profile with KovaaK's benchmarks!
  4. If you also play Aimlabs, you can head over to settings and connect your Aimlabs account there! This will add AL benchmarks to your profile

  • PGT (All versions): All bots have been adjusted, with the most substantial changes made to the bot 3. Adjustments vary, but primarily consist of changes to size, acceleration, and strafe times, with the goal of increasing bot mobility and reducing the scenario's dependence on pure smoothness.
  • Snake Track (All versions): Adjustments notably include increases to target size and acceleration, and a reworking of bot strafe logic to improve the consistency of strafing behaviour. These changes were made to reduce dependence on pure smoothness and the impact of strafe RNG on score potential.
  • FlyTS (All versions): Adjustments consist of reduced horizontal mobility, reduced variance on strafe timings, and tweaks to map geometry and spawn regions. These adjustments are intended to reduce the frequency of interactions between targets and walls and to mitigate the related RNG, as well as improve scenario feel.
  • DotTS (Advanced only): The targets in the advanced version of DotTS have had their TTK and size reduced slightly, this was done to increase the skill ceiling on this version of the scenario.

Hello, everyone! We're back with a new update about score requirements! This time around we are focusing on adjusting the requirements for the Static Clicking benchmarks for Novice and Intermediate difficulties!

While one of the goals of the new season was to make it more challenging than the previous one, we feel that the Static Clicking benchmarks were still a little bit too hard for people starting their aim journey; particularly VT Quadshot.

With this in mind we have made the following changes:

  • Quadshot:

    • Novice: -100 to all ranks.
    • Intermediate: -75 to all ranks.
  • Wideshot:

We are back again to bring you an update to the score targets for the scenarios that were reworked, now that we have the data to draw conclusions on what changes were needed. I am investigating the issue where your new (totally valid!) scores don't appear on the Aimlabs leaderboard API which we use to show scores in your benchmark tables. This can result in not so funny situations like this, where you can clearly see the new score is ABOVE your pb

🎯 Testing KovaaK's Season 3 and 4 Benchmarks

You asked for them, and here they are! S3 and S4 are now available on the Voltaic App.

  • We won't build leaderboards for these benchmarks. This is just a legacy feature for your convenience
  • Remember that scores in Strafe categories in S4 don't count towards your total energy! They are only neccessary for complete ranks
  • S3 used an archaic scoring system back in the day, which is now pointless to build from scratch. On the app it uses energy, like all the other benchmarks, so your rank may be different from what you got on the spreadsheets

Consider this a public test, so go give the old benchmarks a try and tell if anything breaks! As usual, report in #1132068356355268769

About the App's State and Future

Hi! It's been a long time since I’ve had something to tell y’all about the app - I’ve been too busy with other work and just IRL stuff. Shoutout to @mighty merlin and @regal dirge for helping out with user support and fixes while I’ve been away. So, where are we now?

Tech Debt

The app is mostly stable and runs fine without maintenance. There are a several systems though, that are long overdue for a rewrite. Here are some:

  • The leaderboards rework was kinda never finished, so the app currently uses the old distributed system, which turned out to be surprisingly stable for everything except Valorant - due to the vast size of the leaderboard (architecture issue) and the lack of spare resources on the updater node (hardware issue). There's stuff with scenario leaderbards too, but it's less critical.
  • There’s a persistent issue preventing Discord username updates - when you change any part of your Discord/Kovaaks/Aimlabs profile data, it should either update seamlessly on the app without your interaction or, in the worst case, require a logout/login. This isn’t the case for changing Discord usernames, so I’ve had to handle this manually for those who reach out for help.
  • The Scenario Browser didn’t quite take off because I haven’t pushed enough people to get the resources ready, and I also haven’t built the editor features needed for those resources to be added without involving me (bus factor 1).

There are also several bugs reported but never addressed. I’ll do my best to fix as much of this as I can before life swallows me again. Don’t expect all these problems to go away overnight - but please do report new issues if you find any.

Availability Issues

When I launched the app, I intentionally didn’t spend much time implementing strict rate limiting or caching strategies - I had to balance my time between new features and hardening against some imaginary threats. Recently, it turned out at least some work needs to be done here, as we’ve faced several DoS waves (which are fine - it’s really simple to handle those script kiddies) and some heavy API abuse (which is less fine, since I wanted it to stay open for everyone - but probably won’t).

Both types of incidents only caused app instability because we’ve long outgrown our server resources for our scale. That’s why, before planning any improvements to the App code itself, I’m first going to migrate some - if not all - of the deployed services to a new server infrastructure that’s capable of sustaining much more load and performing better overall. It’s gonna take a while to do everything right, but I’ll finally have spare resources to set up things like Sentry for better error reporting and observability.

New Features

As you might imagine, it’s gonna be a while before I’m free to add new stuff to the app. There are some minor requested improvements that I find both useful and easy to do - like the ability to show score invalidation warnings in a less intrusive way. Others are megaprojects, like custom benchmarks.

You guys have suggested many cool ideas, and I’d be genuinely happy to get to work on them - these things are much more delightful than fixing year-old bugs. But first things first, y’know.

Maybe we’ll bring our internal tracker public so you guys can see what’s going on.

Monetization

This new iteration of the Voltaic App is completely unmonetized, and I don’t get paid for working on it. In fact, I keep losing money on it - and Sini does too. There are services to pay for, server resources, new hardware - you get the idea. This is why we’re exploring at least some options to earn money from the app - ideally to keep it sustainable.

Currently, there’s no way to support me (or offset my spending on the app) directly, but if y’all want to support Sini, you can head to the Voltaic Shop and grab yourself something.

Any yesterday's changes got reverted, and you might need to clear your cookies again, sorry.   • Smoothbot Voltaic and Smoothbot Voltaic Easy are now updated to spawn at crosshair height, more consistent jumps and speed. Scores were bumped by about 300 points in the previous scoring system, and scoring was changed to 100 dmg/sec (50% accuracy = 3000 score now).

  • Target switch scenarios that use damage scoring were updated so that 1 kill = 1 score, similar to the way that voxTS already works.
    These changes apply to patTS Voltaic, kinTS Voltaic, Smoothbot TS Voltaic as well as their respective Easy versions

  • There were no changes to rate of fire, time to kill or number of hits per kill. The scenarios were not changed apart from scoring.

  • The benchmark scores are nearly identical to before. Smoothbot TS Diamond score was slightly raised to 50 from 48.5 in the new scoring system.

  • Leaderboards were reset for the scenarios above.

If there are any issues with the updated scenarios, feel free to tag or DM me. We are aware of some issues with the way leaderboard entries are shown after a reset - it appears to be an issue with the game and steam leaderboards.

  • PGTI Voltaic scores were adjusted from 1800 to 1700 for Grandmaster, and 1400 to 1350 for Master.

  • PsalmTS Voltaic and PsalmTS Voltaic Easy were changed so the bots are further away, making it more manageable on normal FOVs (103OW - 110 Source). The bots now change direction less often, but have more vertical movement.
    Scores were not changed for now, but we are keeping an eye on them.
  • KinTS Voltaic and KinTS Voltaic Easy were changed to have slightly lower time-to-kill for the bots, so that it matches with "kinTS NR" and other kinTS versions. Scores for GM, Nova and Ascended were raised by 2 each. We don't expect this subtle change to make a difference for the other ranks.
  • Smoothbot Voltaic was updated so the bot is about 10% smaller. Score targets for Master+ were lowered by 300 points (5% accuracy) and leaderboards were reset for this scenario. This should make the scenario focus more on smoothness and keep accuracy down on the high-end.

  • A new Kovaaks update has been pushed to open beta. Anyone can update to this version of the game.
    We are trying to finalize the benchmark scenarios as quickly as possible, and many of the new editor functions in this new build of the game would be extremely helpful for making the best versions of the benchmark scenarios possible.
    It also includes tons of quality of life improvement for users and I recommend everyone to try it out!

These changes are made to encourage more chatter in one place and make the discord a more welcoming place to new users. greenbp patTS Voltaic + Easy - The 10% bot size increase and longer strafe patterns have made the scenario more speed-orientated and therefore easier; so increasing the score targets by a little bit is appropriate.
greenbp voxTS Voltaic + Easy - The 10% bot size increase, closer back wall, and spawn modification allowed for the scenario to become more speed-oriented, and increased the potential to eliminate more bots than before.
greenbp 6 sphere Hipfire Voltaic - previous Astra score was decreased too much, so we decided to increase it a little more.

  1. VT Air AIO ---> replaced with VT Air Varied Advanced Beta 1

    • Bots now stay still until shot, which begins their 10 sec despawn timer just like the ground version of the scenario
    • Reworked dodge profiles to be better (similar to ground version)
  2. VT Bounceshot ---> new version, 'VT Bounceshot Advanced Beta 2'

    • Map has been fixed to prevent clipping issues and barrier stopping bots from getting right up against player have also been added
    • Bots have been slightly altered to prevent getting stuck in corners
  3. VT bounceTS ---> new version, 'VT bounceTS Advanced Beta 2'

    • Same map change as above, however smaller map size to be more similar to B180T (small change, feels better to play imo)
    • Same bot changes to prevent getting stuck in corners
  4. VT Smoothbot ---> new version, 'VT Smoothbot Advanced Beta 4'

    • Further refined bot movement to reduce bouncing off walls
    • New map with better bot spawn and higher skybox to prevent bouncing. Very slight map size increase for quality of life purposes
    • Bot is now much thinner (but still very trackable and slightly taller) than before as recommended by @VT hauntr and several others. Bot
      movement is also slightly adjusted to be better suited for the map (very minor changes, somewhat unnoticeable just quality of life stuff)
  5. VT Ground Plaza AIO -> VT Ground Varied

    • More varied strafes and more difficult
  6. VT PillStrafe Advanced

    • No longer gauntlet
    • Scenario length 1 minute
    • See new column with explanation of the movement scoring

We are aware of various on-going bugs with KovaaKs such as:
bluebp Reload not working properly
bluebp Air and Ground varied not destructing properly
bluebp ''No strafe'' scenarios, strafing
bluebp Movement scoring being uncapped

Due to these issues, we have to temporarily close our KovaaKs submissions! The above issues should be resolved in a couple days from now.

bluebp We are also aware that some scenarios are not submitting to the leaderboards or users being stuck on the wrong version of the scenario.
bluebp The team is looking into this issue, which may require certain scenarios to be renamed and reuploaded due to a caching issue with Steam.
bluebp Reminder to submit any bugs in the respective Aim Training discords (KovaaK/Aim Lab), so the developers can fix it

πŸ“ƒ Additional Bugs pertaining latest KovaaKs Patch

New bugs were found in our benchmark scenarios due to the recent KovaaKs patch:
bluebp Smoothbot is no longer invincible
bluebp Air and Ground varied scenarios require an additional patch (self destruct is making the player, self destruct too)

bluebp These issues have been reported to the KovaaKs team and will be looked into.
bluebp In the meantime we may implement changes with potential fixes.

Once the submissions re-open
bluebp Once the bugs have been apprehended any scenario affected by bugs/exploits will get a leaderboard wipe
bluebp Scores on scenarios affected by these bugs will not be valid, unless it is evident that the achieved score were not impacted by the bugs (see below)

Scores that will be valid
bluebp If you achieved your score without abusing the no reload mechanic on the clicking scenarios on our benchmarks (Requires SS with 95%+ acc or a vod)
bluebp If you achieved your score without surpassing the movement cap on the strafe scenarios (Requires SS with movement score visible or a vod)
bluebp If you achieved your score on Air Varied where each bot lasted for 10s each (Requires vod)
bluebp If you achieved your score on Ground Varied where each bot lasted for 12s each (Requires vod)
bluebp Otherwise scores will only be valid if they are achieved after the fix and leaderboard wipe!

If you encounter any more bugs please submit them in the official KovaaKs discord as most of these issues can not be resolved on Voltaic's end, thank you for your patience.

πŸ“Š Benchmark: Balance changes & QoL Changes

Hi everyone!

We are aware the new season has only started recently and lots of you folks are grinding hard to get the rank you desire. However, our team has looked into some score targets and we found that some were not matching their intended difficulty. We know how frustrating it can be to have the goalpost be altered, however these changes are necessary to keep the benchmarks balanced. Even though we ran a beta period, mid-season changes can always occur. Mind you, we will always try to avoid them the best we can.

In addition, to the score target changes, we've also made some improvements to a few scenarios. One additional scenario has been added to each subcategory for Novice on Aim Lab and Novice Complete roles are now available.

We also want to point out that over the last couple weeks some of the new updates to KovaaKs have struck ALL scenarios with bugs, most of these have now been apprehended by their team. Thank you for everyone's patience.

Known Bug
bluebp It appears that fixing the bug for Ground Varied caused another unforeseen issue, due to the degenerating health mechanic not working as expected.
bluebp The bots have been reworked to degenerate in health over a span of 12s per bot, the degenerating causes the bot to strafe more.
bluebp This feature can not be disabled, as it it's how the bot profiles are designed.
bluebp Basically we need an exemption to this rule where the bots do not get affected by the degenerating health, while still being affected by damage.
bluebp We are awaiting the next KovaaKs patch to fix this, in the meantime Ground Varied will be unavailable.

Bug Fixes
bluebp Celestial no longer has an infinite cap of energy awarded, it now caps out at 1200 for Aim Lab and 1110 for KovaaKs.
bluebp See latest KvKs patches for fixes on Movement cap, Reload and more
bluebp KvKs: Air and Ground Varied self-destruct timer now is timed properly, FPS issues also fixed.

Steam Caching Bug Fixes
bluebp People were stuck in older versions of scenarios with a different map or scoring system.
bluebp To fix this issue we've renamed and reuploaded some of the scenarios:
bluebp Skystrafe -> Airstrafe, Bouncestrafe -> Arcstrafe, 1w5ts -> 1w5ts Rasp, Pasu -> Pasu Rasp

πŸ“ƒ Score balancing and Temporary Changes

Hey everyone,

bluebp We've adjusted the score targets at all levels on our Aim Lab benchmarks.
bluebp We heard your feedback loud and clear and ensured that these changes resemble a similar level of difficulty as our KovaaKs benchmarks.
bluebp We've also discovered that Air Varied is affected by the same issue as Ground Varied, but at a smaller scale.
bluebp Due to uncertainty with the expected patch date for Ground Varied, we've decided to temporarily nerf the score targets to account for the raised difficulty.

Temporary nerfs until patch:
bluebp A nerf of 550 on all levels of Ground Varied (except Astra/Celestial)
bluebp A nerf of 200 on all levels of Air Varied (except Astra/Celestial)

Slight nerfs on bounceTS Intermediate and Novice
bluebp Nerf of 20 per target
bluebp We noticed this scenario in particular was a tad more difficult than the rest in the same pool

Please mind the following:
bluebp Once the issue has been fixed, we will be reverting the nerfs, and everything should go back to normal. We may upload the scenarios with new names to avoid caching issues.
bluebp Aside from these nerfs, you can now apply with Ground Varied again, however Astra/Celestial are excluded from these nerfs, because the patch would invalidate these scores again
bluebp You will have a week grace period to apply with the temporary score targets after we're reverted the nerfs when a patch is released
bluebp Note that this will only be valid as long as the scores are acquired before the date of the patch
bluebp Feel free to make a new copy of the progress sheet in #resources or manually uncross Ground Varied in your sheet, by selecting its cell and pressing ALT+SHIFT+5
bluebp Please beware that if you have entered and acquired a score before May 11, you may be rewarded more energy than intended. If this is the case simply deduct 550 for Ground Varied and 200 for Air Varied.
bluebp FYI: May 11 scores are on the old version of the scenario, and during that time the scores were not unintentionally more difficult. Read below to see if you got your score on the old version of the scenario.

May 11 Raised difficulty
In case you haven't noticed the raised difficulty at all, check if you are on the correct version of the scenario. You can tell if you are on the correct version of the scenario if the timer says 1:30 instead of 1:05. If you are NOT on the correct version of the scenario try verifying game files, if that doesn't work, try to reinstall your game and delete your FPSAimTrainer folder (make sure to copy your hitsounds, scenarios, crosshairs etc., so you can paste them back in when you reinstall).
