Aljo a professionist
i noticed it awhile back that I would always fall asleep in the position
and ive done it ever since
just works
i take like 10-15 mins to fall asleep when tired
idk if its just me or bad habits or smthn
I also havent suffered from insomnia the past couple years
which is a benefit
esp helps with the falling asleep when I want to part
does anyone happen to know why i have started to yawn alot lately?
even with good amount of sleep
its been going on for about 5 days now and it really pisses me off as i try to yawn but nothing and it kinda hurts
it does
but
one thing that can help as well
is using night filter
gets rid of blue light
or at least reduces it
on windows it's called night light
and on phone you have
warm screen color filters too
night light makes screen too orange
i just have low blue light maxed on monitor
idk how much that helps tho
i have it on
by default
it puts less strain on my eyes
but ye
it doesn't look very good
ye that's very good
for the vod review what is a session?
like if I record my games for like 6 hours how much of that should I actually review per day
you should make note of situations that you thought could be played better
or situations where you think you played somethingwell
then look at that
take notes on what you did that was good and bad since what you think of in retrospect isnt going to be perfect
usually break things down into categories of mechanics, positioning, etc
agree with aljo
so that way you can isolate specifically what to work on
If something comes up repeatedly you've found yourself something deserving of a lot of attention/focus in your practice sessions, if nothing comes up consistently just figure out what thing you think has the highest probability of causing you issues in the future and isolate that
:>
:>
usually vod reviewing 2-3 times a week if you have time is a good amount
30-90 minutes is a good amount of time to set aside
thank you guys
also how important is the time you wake up at?
like is waking up at 7:00am better than 11:00am
for example
to whoever was asking about cold showers
it's also been shown to improve blood flow and increase testosterone
it's especially useful to take a cold shower after lifting
it helps the muscles recover faster after a workout
@violet swan You may want to do your own research on that, but from my own experience, I think so.
I've been both an early bird and a night owl in my life
And I've always felt more well-rested waking up early
Cold showers are actually good yeah
Some pro strongmen use hold/cold tubs alternating to help recovery
iam doing cold shower for like 5-6month
i can tell its benfits and right way of doing it
always go from head not feet
BECAUSE this is a rule for healthy living - COOL mind , SOFT belly and WARM feet
so that why always go from head
Curry was asking about how much the time you wake up matters. Does it matter? I think I do best in the early early mornings like 5-7
thats what seems like the sweet spot from most early birds
im just trying to find an optimal time because if im gonna fix my sleep I just wanna fix it all the way and wake up early if needed
How do you even go about fixing youe sleep schedule? Currently I am up till 1 and waking up minutes before class. I am now also missing class rarely.
idk its hard for me too
thats why I wanna find a really good time so I dont have to do it again anytime soon
if anybody has some methods they have used for fixing their shit sleep schedules
that would be nice to know cus im lost when it comes to fixing my sleep
I'm a veteran of fixing sleep schedules
You just need a lot of willpower
Essentially you have to stay awake until a normal time the next day
which means you'll be awake for like 20 hours+
but then you sleep at a normal time and wake up at a normal time the next day (hopefully)
sometimes, you will sleep at the normal time, but wake up half way through the night, you must try to fall back asleep but no matter what happens, get up at the normal morning time
no napping
staying awake gets very hard but I would advice any sort of exercise when oyu start getting sleepy, just force yourself to get up and go for a walk or cycle or do 10 jumping jacks or whatever
it'll delay a bit more but you'll still feel like shit and want to sleep so bad - you just can't if you want to fix your sleep schedule
Will you mess up your sleep schedule if lets say go to bed 2 hours later then normal on weekends?
That's fine, but be ware that Sunday night when you try to get to bed at 2 hours earlier time it will be harder to fall asleep so get into bed a little earlier
Well will it still be harder if you only stay up late for 2 more hours saturday night?
GG @small ibex, you just advanced to level 8 !
Well will it still be harder if you only stay up late for 2 more hours saturday night?
@small ibex depends when you wake up
if you stay up 2 hours more but still wake up at the same time you would wake up on Monday then there's no difference you'll just feel more tired during the day from getting less sleep
Ig 2 hours later then when I would prefer to wake up
yea so if you do that then it's not unlikely that it's a little harder
but it's onyl 2 hours
so not much
Yeah makes sense
it varies from person to person but just generally speaking

what's everyone's supplement stack?
various fish oils, multivitamin, extra vitamin D
was using creatine for a while
some joint stuff as well
also started an eye health supplement recently
bacopa gang
GG @honest river, you just advanced to level 15 !
d-3 mk7 gang
@worthy cloud you take cold showers/
?
was just wondering if it might be good for shakiness
hmm
shakiness
I dunno
usually it's for muscle recovery and soothing inflammation I think
I get a lot of sleep 9-10 hours each day but the sleep quality is fucking terrible
I wake up feeling like
I get like no rem sleep and i dont get enough deep
yeah my deep sleep sucks
sometimes melatonin helps
sometimes it doesn't
what helps a lot is keeping it quiet and dark
I love weighted blankets
A good bed, weighted blankets, bamboo pillow, and aircon on 18*c
Officeworks is delivering a manual adjustable table to me in a few days
I have a table that has drawers
And blocks my legs and is abormally high
So my nerves get pressure pinched all day
And am now starting to have symptoms
bamboo pillow??
never heard of em 😄
GG @rotund meteor, you just advanced to level 1 !
shredded bamboo memory foam?
It sounds like a cannon when u hit someone with it
is it different from the typical memory foam?
Bamboo fibers in casing
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 1 !
Shredded memory foam
It helps to sleep in a somewhat cool room. You need to drop your body's core temp to initiate sleep.
how can i heal shoulder injury
but keep working out
besides shoulder obviously
i took a week break from working out
and it felt like it was gone
then it came back
Good ways to stop wrist pain?
Last time i stopped playing for a few days but now its back
And i didnt find any stretches that target the area that i need
Maybe dm idk
check the pins Kastor has a guide for it
Does anyone have ergomic chair recommendations ? (I know availability will kind of be country dependent though)
I really hate my chair and i feel like it's slanted backwards too much, i've been wanting to replace it for years now.
@violet swan you may be experiencing eye strain, or you may not be blinking because you are focusing so much
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 4 !
Are there any side sleepers in here with a side sleeper pillow?
got a body pillow
If so how are they “performing”?
The quality of your sleep does.
Idk either
There are 2 types of them one for the neck and one for everything
They are U-shaped to support the neck
Also it is almost 4am so I should sleep so I can perform tmrw
oohh
Oh got you now
They support the neck cause you have the height difference between your shoulder and neck . Normal pillows don’t support that quite good
In what kind of sleeping Position are you sleeping ?
i usually sleep on my stomach
That’s odd. My neck would die if I would have slept like that
I sleep on my stomach
I used to sleep on side but cut circulation to my arm sometimes when I wake up
So I sleep on stomach
that happens to me sometimes if I sleep on my stomach
i'd have my arm up and under my pillow
so when I wake up, my arm is completely numb
it feels like I'm not even touching my arm when I try to move it....super weird
best position
LOL
should I be worried? is he a vampire or some shit?
how
Skill
that can't be good for your back
Does anyone here take cold showers? If so is it meant to be really cold or just luke warm. Also how long do they take it for?
Like freezing cold like in nature cold
Just a normal shower length
That’s how I do it
you're a chad for taking cold showers
i take like medium to hot showers cuz cold is uncomfortable
My skin gets dry and itchy when I shower too hot and if I am showering cold I won’t freeze over the day even if it is like really cold outside
You should try it out even if it is uncomfortable at first.
You literally have "Ice" in your nickname
GG @pure quartz, you just advanced to level 2 !
I have pain issues with that area too
rolling my wrist with a hockey stick or something in my hand seems to help a little
did you take a break or anything like that?
i hate it so much
i want to grind but then i cant play for 2-3 days
if i just had stretches for that area
where is health routine doc?
is it not pinned
it is pinned
@worthy cloud do you know what that are is called?
Maybe ulnar stretches could help
I'm not really sure
Gotta look into it more later
Or just rotation mobility
Musculus abductor digiti minimi
and
Musculus extensor digiti minimi
i think those are the names of the are
not sure
what stretches do u currently do
i tried a lot but i didnt find any that help with the area that i need
maybe you know something
u can try putting ur hand at a 90 angle and using ur other hand pulling it back from the palm
u can always massage that area before
to relax it
It's hard to explain in words
hm
ay guys
so when i use an arm sleeve
my palms get a bit thick, but thats it
is it a bloodflow thing
and no its not juvenile arthritis or carpal syndrome or anything like that
it just gets a bit thick after gaming
when i wear the sleeve
describe thick
like
my palms feel like they have absorbed water
not even the whole palm
just the part under the thumb
and under the pinky
Might be too tight
or is it becoming too hot under the sleeve?
wore a wrist brace for 1 day iced twice that dayvand did exercises before in the middle and after computer use
snd can say my wrist is starting to feel better after 7 days of feeling the same(horrible)
10/10 would recommend
also drink water and get some full body exercises in to promote blood flow after icing xd
That's a duplicate question
I don't know if we have particular stretches for that specific area but there's a stretching guide from Kastor which you can use
And I think it will most likely target that area as well
There's also a few here:
And then there's the ones from Dr. Levi
@willow bane
yea i tried them all already 😦
alright so I decided to do more research on cold showers
apparently it has so many benefits, it's almost comical
well it needs to be super cold, almost ice cold
mmmmm ok
yeah, im starting to doubt some of these
Be careful with the temperature
mmmmmm sparky doctor
You need to be able to breathe in a certain way to withstand the cold
It's probably most beneficial if you jump straight into cold
but
you can also do it gradually
in any case it's not that insanely important
the other healthy habits are going to help the most
speaking of cold showers...
what's your guy's take on NoFap?
Has anyone tried it?
is nofap just going extended times or is there more to it?
basically. they say you should go for 90 days for a "full reboot"
some of these mfers have gone 300+ days
idk
placebo
most likely
I think youd be hard pressed to find someone in this discord
:)))
it seems like it would only make sense if you have a porn addiction
then yeah, it's a good thing
but if you're a casual user, you won't see much benefit from it
i find it a lot easier to do cold shower
if you warm shower for a bit
and dial it to cold for the last part of your shower
like i dial it to cold when i wanna wash the shampoo out of my hair
^^^
i just bathe in ice baths
^
Shower > bath. Cold showers are awesome for your overall feeling.
Hey, I wanna ask if you guys can recommend me a nice chair for longer sessions/work for supporting my back/posture in general. 🙂
Hmm.. cold showers are a thing? I need the water boiling to be comfortable. Having a cold shower would ruin my day - gotta look into it though.
I have mini muscle spasms in my right hand and super stiff muscles it’s like worse case for aiming
use your left then lmao
<_> noooo
hiccups?
lol aight no worries
yeah possibly
How we position the aiming arm directly influences our ability to control the mouse and aim the crosshair. In this video, I talk about the vertical height of the aiming arm and how it's influenced by a desk and chair.

so in this video
rambo lift his hand
in the first step
as u can see the tumbnail 2nd photo
i cant lift like this my hand are tilted not straight
please suggest me exercise
when i lift my arm like in this tumbnail 2nd photo my hand starting to pain
😫 😭 😭 😭
please tell me exercise which can fix my issue
i know how this habit is build it is becoz of i use my mouse diagonally
what
how can I ease eye strain and unfocusing when I'm trying to look at my crosshair
don’t focus on your crosshair
?
when I stare at my crosshair my eyes unfocus and I see double/kinda fuzzy
and I have to manually snap them back into focus every few seconds
any fps
its just focusing too hard on the crosshair makes me feel really uncomfortable
GG @uneven plover, you just advanced to level 2 !
thanks
What does the channel mean by “mental?”
mentality/mental health I think
maybe @oak orbit could help?
def has something to do with tensing
Probs not the mental health I'm looking for then oof
I can relate
Ye idk how to get over it
Gatekept me from going to college too lol
I took too much caffeine now I'm shaking lol
I barely took any
if youre tensing
I don't usually take caffeine
Ins told me to practice using my keyboard to shoot when playing kovaaks
I read online my best bet is to wait it out, drink a lot of water
and fully relax my hand
he's fine most of the time then goes crazy while spraying someone in valorant
yup
Like my entire body is shakey not just my arm
do you want to see it kosei?
that's what I do in kovaaks when I have trouble, bind fire to kb
ok
i have a question that i would really like answered
just ask
I'm not sure if there's been any research done on this topic, but ig if you have strong forearms its good for endurance and speed with wrist aiming and you'll have good stability in your arms if you work those as well
farmer carries are pretty op for this
Im having issues with blurry vision when doing precision/clicktiming scens like 1w6ts
like my eyes get teary or sometimes burn a little bit
how useful is strength training your arms?
For?
aim
Doubt it matters for aim
probs only slows aim fatigue
Its possible ye
Shoulders and rear delts effect posture and aim
Well you don't need to strength train to have good posture
Correct. But it does help.
Sure, strength training may help posture in some circumstances. I don't believe it affects aim that much, if at all
It's a good habit to have good posture
strength training is good for overall health which is good for overall game performance
but I don't think there's any direct correlation
unless you need some kind of corrective movements if you have a posture problem
Posture effects aim quite a bit.
ofc
Om about strenght training
There are some correlation
But they are not that obviouse
First things first sorry for my englandorino, not good at this cuz my parents didn't want me to learn at my young, so tbh i started learning english at university
but back to the topic
So there are propably more of the correlations that i will show you, but first i can see are the over-body atp level
and the second are
how to say that
Myosatellite cell amount is increasing while explosive/strength training
and its change how fast you can use your muscles
for (in that case) big muscles
its diffrence between
let's say 0.5 sec to 5-10 sec
and for really slow muscles
Like Flexor digitorum superficialis muscle
Its like changing from 1 sec to 0.8 sec
I came up with those numbers dont take them seriously
GG @bleak tangle, you just advanced to level 1 !
So after all in some weird way strenght training can affect your reaction time
Cause you can use your body in more effective (for nervous system) way
I've been noticing more wrist stiffness since I changed some things (mouse, higher sens), but stretching has made it bearable but today it really feels as if my wrist isn't limber at all. I haven't had much good sleep the last two nights though so do people think that could be the issue or something else
But with quarantine I'm also using the pc a load more then usual, so I don't know if its just general overwork or something
Dude
static stretching before playin will make you wrist more like limp
i would recommend you to abort stretching or move it before sleep
and as a active stretching before game
play some maps that demands fast big movements
maps for arm training
and use only your wrist
then slowly start to use more and more arm
it shouldnt took you more than 5-10 minutes at all
You can even start from fingers only movement, if its hard then for that time make your sens 2-3 times higher
1 minute everyday of stuff like this won't ruin your aim
and its great warm up that will makes your whole wrist more responding
and flexible
I mainly just do the mobility routine in the pins after some aim training, and then actual stretching before sleep/after finished with the pc about 5mins each
anyone ever do a dopamine detox?
is there a way to stop shaking in your hand? i feel like i have essential tremors or some shit
makes my aim parkinsons
i can be owning and accurate but the shake wil kick in and i cant fix it even if i relax the shit out of my grip
its aids isnt it
its handicapping me so bad
its not that im not smooth either, it will just randomly "kick in" and my smoothness is gone
tried wrist excercises, tried grip strength training, tried meditation/breathing techniques
I do that too. It's usually from reading/ mouse control
B180 tracking small fixed or w/e it is helps
It didn't break, it's a feature :^)
i didnt know gaming was this serious lol
my back is hurting sooo bad. 4 hours sit on my chair and i'm done for the whole day . 😢
You really should be getting up and I really should be taking my own advice
if he's only sitting for 4 hours and in pain, it's not not standing up that is the issue
well i'm a bit overweight 🐷 so doesn't help
where you sticking your fingers?
Jesus. Chill with the death grip my man
Does anyone have valuable resources for mental stuff? I have a bad rap for not being smart and autopiloting a lot. I know there are a few resources but are there any more?
Honestly I think it's actually helpful to learn advanced maths or something complex. There's free courses online. Sounds silly but it will help with learning how to "use" your brain.
yeah im just all aim no brain
I'm very reckless in games
i'm really good at math but only when it's just math
@meager ore could learn chess?
that's a good suggestion
@lavish pivot any recommendation for these courses? currently studying calc but nothing complex, just applying formula and shit.
Nothing specific but doing stuff on udemy and Khan academy is good. @brave condor
Also Harvard has some free courses
oh yeah ur right, i remember there was some colleges that would release free videos of classes
ty for the tips
anyone have ideas for why my pinky cramps and feels super stiff when aiming?
like I dont move it around very much or anything
Alright, because I had a similar thing happen to me with my XM1
I figured out that it was my pinky knuckle not getting enough support
So instead of my hand curving naturally around the mouse, it kinda dips at the pinky side of my hand
so my entire pinky would cramp up after awhile
Same thing could be happening to you
either that or the mouse isn't wide enough for you
maybe, I can feel my pinky kinda tucks itself under my ring finger when Im keeping my fingers straight
not enough support might be why
I'm not sure
You could use another mouse to test that theory out
Like an ergo mouse
ik ik...ergo bad
my kpu gets here sunday
so ig ill test theory then
my g403 and rival 600 are both burried somewhere tho
so testing it rn would be....difficult
I love my Model D, it lowkey feels like sex when I hold it, but I can't aim for shit with it lul
like in games I do alright with it, but kovaaks is rough
never had either :))
Before they released it, I was always hoping someone would make a size between the ec1 and ec2
looks like my wish came true
I love the mouse, but sadly I perform better with other mice for some reason
yea thats always a bummer
I get tilted when i cant perform as I want to
And because of that, I become stressed and anxious
Whats up

GG @uneven plover, you just advanced to level 3 !
Thanks
@uneven plover
left side of mr wrist burns whenever i do t switching scenarios. im one 10cm btw
also its not the good burning like oh i feel the burn its like shit im burning
yeah im like grippin the mouse pretty hard now that i think about it
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 2 !
@violet swan yo thats bad
you might be playing on a fucked up wrist, make sure no deathgripping, good posture, and i suggest lowering ur sens so you can utilize more of your arm
make sure ur wrist is healthy
guys my forearm and wrost feel stiff i cant take a break cuz fncs is today
i mean i cant force you to do anything, but personal health is a lot more important than video games
Is pizza good or bad for vrt ?

God tier
wow g8 question
so good, in fact, we'll wait to give you an answer to let it sink in for us
what
@vestal pumice Please only ask related questions
it is health related-ish
It's not really something we would know or should need to answer here
sorry dad
np
whats a good hrv4 to aim for
and how increase and how many calories do you think is good enough for a a day i do 500
@gritty crest 500 calories a day is really low
and very unhealthy
i wouldnt go under 1200
and im not familiar with hrv4
if it's to lose weight then simply being calorie deficit will be sufficient
you dont need to not eat
ye
again with what objective?
depends what you do for your workout
burnt by exercise
@arctic moat idk i heard that exercise helps the brain
and improves performance
so thats why im doing it
@oak orbit cardio
losing weight? gaining muscle and fat fast? (bulking) keeping muscle losing fat? (cutting) gaining muscle losing fat? (balanced)
Oh so
i mean
You're doing exercise to improve cognitive performance
you dont need to have a calorie burnt goal
And you don't care about
those other things I mentioned?
Then yeah I agree with Kosei
itd be better to have a distance goal if youre running or jogging
ye tbh i dont care about my weight im pretty average now
but losing a few pounds wouldnt hurt i guess
sini
depending how much distance will determine how many calories you burn
I would always recommend people to get into weight lifting if you want to burn fat
ye for performance idk how it works but athletes use it to check if they are ready for training
With right diet and schedule you can lose fat and gain muscle
Athletean-X had a vid on it iirc
@gritty crest

Bulking and cutting is one of the most popular methods of adding muscle fast, but does it work the way you hope it would? In this video, I’m going to show ...
ah kk ty ill check it out tbh i used to do weights but i got so big lol im just doing cardio right now so i might just be cutting
also helps to know what's your body type, what goals you have in mind (like sini said, gaining muscle or just losing weight). I mean, you can't just pick a workout routine and run with it. You need to pick one with you in mind, and what you hope to accomplish
Gotta set goals
With your exercise
I highly recommend doing the route to gain muscle and lose fat
You don't need to go into extremes that way
It's called hypo caloric diet
If it's the cognitive benefits you're looking for, or you just want to learn more about it, I suggest you check this video out...
Exercise is good for the heart and makes you look good. However, there are much more compelling reasons to exercise regularly.

@arctic moat Dam sini how did you know i was on a hypo caloric diet
😦 ye its prob not good
I said the video refers to a hypo caloric diet
Which is very beneficial for losing fat and gaining muscle
ohh ok
It's a slower process, but you won't need to do the whole bulk and cut process
i feel myself always tired at afternoon and i cant train help me pls
i tried to sleep at right times didnt help
@arctic moat @zealous pivot @oak orbit thanks all
We can't really help you without more context, get a good schedule, check in with a sleep therapist perhaps and make sure you have good daily routines @violet swan

Some basic things to take into account
- stay hydrated
- exercise
- eat nutritious food
almost forgot
also try meditation
helps to relieve stress, think clearer, and helps you concentrate better
also helps you get into the "flow state" easier
How to do it?
Meditation is a practice that can benefit your health and wellness in so many ways. I’ve been trying to meditate more lately, so I was inspired to make a basic how to meditate video focusing on creating beautiful visuals and experimenting with ways I can improve my craft. Do y...
I reading about it on Wikipedia in my language it sounds weird
Anyone here know where I can buy a barbell in the UK right now? Seem to be sold out everywhere
Meditation can be spiritual, but it definitely doesn't have to be. Just be in a comfortable position and focus on your breathe. If your mind wanders, catch yourself and redirect your attention back to the breathe. Rinse and repeat. If you're a non-religious/non-spiritual person like myself, you don't need to do mudras or hand poses.
You'll still see the benefit from regular meditation.
yeah there is plenty of non religious meditation
it’s just simply relaxing your mind and body
and it can also be a time for self reflection
fuck it im staying up
I want to play KovaaK as a main game where I play it 3/4 hours a day. I one time watched this video about ZexRow playing a lot of KovaaK and then getting some sort of wrist syndrome, I think it was carpel tunnel. Since then I've always have been scared to play KovaaK more than 30 minutes/1 hour. I play with a low sens which means I aim with my whole arm. I'm I save to play KovaaK more??
look at pins for the posture/wrist stretches guide
thank you.
Look into strength training for your arm/wrist. It completelty eliminated all pain from playing games after
for me anyways
@soft flax tried argos? Just thinking decent stock/delivery. They may not even have correct size/weight tbh
@clever raptor do you think I should lower my sens from 10cm to 16cm or something even lower because I don't want to fuck up my wrist more
if its bad there is no point playing more and making it worse
take a break do stretches ect
then maybe come back to it and use a lower sensitivity so u involve more of your arm
instead of isolating wrist
@violet swan idk how you're accurate with <20 in the first place, but definitely do something other than only changing your sens. it is your health after all
why he sitting like that
why he sitting like that
@violet swan ofc not please dont post stuff like that in here
Man how do I fix my shit sleep schedule? I've been going to bed at 7am and waking up at like 3pm for the past couple of months
Go to bed the earliest you can say that's 10-11-12. Then get up at 5-6 and go for a walk, wake up with the sun if you can. Then make it a habit to get up that early.
Soon you'll be asleep at 10 getting up that early
Make sure your room is dark too.
Helps produce melatonin which is your sleep hormone.
Ceridian rhythm is pretty important for overall health as much as it's never talked about, can drastically change your health for the better and improve performance just overall.
Okay man I will keep that in mind thank you
@hollow ibex yeah, decided I'll wait till quarantine is over before buying a barbell. Looking to get a kettlebell or 2 now, same issue again, sold out everywhere
almost same question as gahgae question i going to sleep at 6pm and waking up at late night and i cant fix it
i trying to not sleep but i falling asleep around 6 pm
@soft flax I got a dumbbell set and a kettlebell at the start of quarantine, not what I wanted but it'll do
yeah
I'm really missing a full gym
I haven't had a real good workout since lockdown started and I feel horrible
I have dumbbells and bands and a bench but it's not enough
Yeah, I've put on the pounds for sure :)
hey guys recently im trying to switch from to palm, but my ring finger is hurts on the side that touches the mouse, is there anything that am i might doing wrong or is just habit?
maybe too tight of a grip?
idk, might try to loosen it up but i wouldnt want to relax too much
thank you for your advice tho ill try itr out
@violet swan seems like it was it, cant believe i was doing such a basic mistake lol, prob is because im not comfy with my current mouse
Yokai you don't want to be very tense.
Tension in the arm/shoulder is bad hand is fine just don't deathgrip
I'm having some really painfull pain spikes, almost like someone is stabbing me in that location. I don't know if it's from gaming or KovaaK.
does anyone know what it could be?
Probably your sub scapularis hanging from a pullup bar and streaching your lats might help
For permanent fix work on your posture.
Also could be an issue w your hips
damn
Could just be inflimation that area likes to get caught. And inflames and causes alot of irritation
You could also try a heating pad.
Be more aware of tension in that area and your traps when kovaaking
Also could be pec minor. So see if streaching your chest with your arms overhead helps
Doorways are perfect for doing that
hmm
the doorway stretch doesn't really help
I'm going to try to stretch my lats right now
I don't have something like a pole I can hold onto
ohyeah
that's my lat
How many times should I stretch it?
Do 3-5 sets of 30 seconds
5 sets is therapy level don't do that for a long time a week at most 1x a day
I'd stick w 3 personally
will do, thanks!
@eternal dock yes dw I'm not having, fortunately, any pain on those sections, only muscle improvement. Probably I think that since this is my first time trying to go claw I'm probably doing something wrong, and I don't particularly like the xm1, even though generally it's a really good choice
Your just tensing other muscles because you dont feel like you can control claw grip well
Just work on relaxing more
But it's only my hand and fingers that hurts
Not other arm sections
Btw @fresh lake other than the very good advice that it's already been given, i would suggest you to pay attention if by any chance you tend to lean on that side while you are gaming or sitting in general. I'm telling you because I have difference in height between my 2 ankles and I noticed that I tend to lean on the right ones sometimes
thank you
is mouth breathing bad?
Related to aim I don't think there's a correlation. Concerning everyday life, yes, it's a condition that can cause different illnesses
I suggest you to go to a doctor (even if these are hard times)
I heard constantly breathing through your mouth can cause poor facial structure overtime, since your tongue isn't pressing up against the roof of your mouth. So you can develop things like an overbite. Don't quote me on that. I'd suggest you do your own research.
you are correct beckz
but that obviously isnt that big of a problem for adult people.
though cosmetically it can make a difference
you muscles relax when you repeadedly breathe through the mouth
mewing is the keyword
makes your jawline look good
I tried asking this in #advice, and was directed here. Is claw gripping a mouse going to have long term health effects? Im worried that gripping my mouse is such a way would cause arthritis in my fingers.
no long term studies have been conducted for these types of questions
so that is all just guesswork
the problem would more likely be the amount of tension
you are consistently putting on your mouse
not the grip
if you are mindful of your health, i doubt anything is gonna happen
just dont crank your wrist 90° and watch the tension of your grip
the wrist stretches in the pins would be good to look at
Allright. It probably is magnified because my mouse is so small for me. My concern will probably go away when my new mouse arrives.
what mouse do you have and what is your hand size?
20.5cm x 11cm I currently use a glorious model o-
GG @mellow epoch, you just advanced to level 3 !
But ive ordered a GPW
Well for your hand size you should have picked a model o
Model o- is too small for you
I have learned that now.
Yeah your gonna feel way better with a larger mouse
It was. My hand would cramp up and I couldn't get a proper grip on it.
Next time you can ask us in the #tech channel if you have any doubts regarding which mouse buy or peripheral related stuff
I'm so tired I could pass out if I let my eyes close for more then 10 seconds
then sleep
I'm at work
I'm essential
Half the people are on furlough I'm in the work rotation this week so it's super busy aswell
Okay maybe dont sleep!
@eternal dock try to schedule your day in order to get a good amount of sleep and at the same time do what you have to /want to. That means you will undoubtedly have to reduce hobby times
Make sleep>work>hobby priority
Yeah that's why I try to do I just couldn't sleep well last night
It can happen, watch out how much you eat in the evening bc that could cause your sleep problems
Try to not eat too much junk food before sleeping
guys i noticed that when i try to do micro adjustement with wrist my hand starts to shake, is there any way to fix this?
sounds like you are tensing up
i do the same
try relaxing your arm and wrist
and do some breathing exercises as well
i'll do thats probably it
Is having your monitor closer good? I feel it would give better focus etc.
only if you want to totally fuck up your eyes
you need a new pair of glasses
So, I hate my chair and I'm really considering buying a herman miller aeron
I'm either a size A or B (most likely a B)
but due to the coronavirus it's impossible for me to go somewhere where i can try out sitting in the chair first.
Is it a bad idea for me to buy the chair without ever having actually tied sitting in one before, or should it just be fine (considering how common aeron chairs are in wrokplaces)
I mean.. those are expensive chairs, right? They should have a good return/refund policy.
My local retailers refund policy boils down to you open it u buy it.
Ah shit, well for me that's a lot of money to blow on something that may not fit right... I would definitely wait until I could test it. But maybe it will be comfortable regardless ...
The question is: how impatient are you?

Very but i think I'll practice my patience here and wait it out.
I've really big anger problems
@toxic ferry take breaks when you start to rage and do Smth else to cool your head off. While in game, just think that's, in fact, a game so you shouldn't take it so badly. Then focus on your mistakes rather than what others says in order to don't get dragged in useless discussions or flames
One side of me thiink you are right, but the other side want to start another game to get back the mmr I just lost.
You can start another game, just don't get angry
Getting angry is literally Smth every competitive player must avoid its only a con
Ok i just downloaded animal crossing nh. Everytime i'll rage i'll play this game
the left bottom part of my right palm is red, its where i rest my hand on the table while holding the mouse
GG @median vigil, you just advanced to level 2 !
yo, any tips on how keep my eyes from getting dry when using contacts? My eye sight is too poor to play without them unfortunately and glasses warps my monitor too much
seems like that might be the only solution for time being
@queen sail bruh...

Could it be that my lat gets irritated by my flicky playstyle?
GG @fresh lake, you just advanced to level 8 !
flicky?
@fresh lake yeah it could be that your lats get irritated if you play a low sens, bad posture and use big arm movements
26.9614 is my cm
You could tackle it in a couple of ways if you're interested in it. You could either higher your sens, change your aiming style or be mindful of how your lat activates during the big sweeps if you don't care about strengthening your lat muscles and stretching them out
but I think it's accumulated stress that's causing them to be hurting
shit
in any case you could squeeze or hold your lat with your left hand as you're doing your usual type of aiming and figure out when they activate, and when they hurt.
could also be pectoral tightness causing it
in any case, stay fit mate. Stretch the pecs and strengthen those lats to stay save
@fresh lake pull ups are great for lats
Make sure you’re correctly engaging the scapula and your lats should be where the pull is first felt. Otherwise it becomes a bicep and brachialis exercise
whenever i play for more than an hour my wrist gets tired but never hurts? i wrist aim
do wrist stretches and strength exercises @violet swan
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 3 !
they are all over youtube i can dm you some good ones
Check out the pinned messages in this channel
There's a couple of guides on wrist stretches and exercises
do blueberries lower reaction time
sure
hmm, anyone have any tips on overcoming a fear of missing your shots?
I have the runs... What can I do?
@strong mason you might have covid19
Jackpot
oh jesus
i think i have an inflammed thumb and when i do the one above my thumb hurts but when i do the one below it doesnt is that something important?
well they stretch different things
it just means the part that's inflamed isn't the bigger palm thumb muscle
ty
I have extremely cold hands while playing
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 1 !
especially in comp
How can I reduce this ? As soon as I stop playing my hands go back to normal, It's really incomfortable I feel like I can't be at peak lvl
my keyboard wrist hurts and whenever i tilt it down or up it hurts even more. its been hurting for a few days and keeps getting worse. Should i just stop playing for a few weeks or could it be more serious?
id stop playing for a week @bright portal
and the wrist for 10-15 minutes atleast 3 times a day too
do light stretches every few hours aswell
had a constant burning pain in my right wrist fro literally 2 weeks thought it was over did exercises took a break and iced it and its gone now
okay thanks @violet swan. will definitely take a break then. also, could i still practice aim since my mouse hand doens't hurt at all as i dont need my hand on keyboard for kovaak?
yeah if theres 0 pain at all
Oh and don't use keyboard feet
They hike up your wrist that can cause issues like that
yeah i dont. i also dont use a wrist rest. so i think im planting my wrist sometimes. Also, i think its just my play time
Is it normal that my old sens caused me insane wrist pain just because I was aiming with the wrist?
GG @fiery sequoia, you just advanced to level 1 !
not really normal but not unheard of
i hate my wrist
i just want to play kovaaks but if i play more than a few minutes i get painin the wrist
i tried all kinds of stretches but non of them stretched the right area
what area do you need stretched @willow bane
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 4 !

@willow bane
To strengthen your abductor digiti minimi, hold your hand in front of you. Make sure your fingers are together. Use your other hand to resist against your little finger as you try to move your little finger outwards, or away from your other fingers. Your little finger will not...
ah thank you i'll give it a try
np lmk
Why is my hand so shaky?
Like how do I reduce it
It isn’t even only mouse control
Like right now I am trying to play chess but I keep knocking over pieces
did you switch now from kovaak to chess?
I mean I know literally nothing about health, but you could try to stretch the muscles in your arms, helps me sometimes
s-smoothness

@small ibex that will help in kovaaks idk about irl
Is there a routine for consistency that anyone recommends? I know everyone has their own. But i have one, but it doesnt always work
@ me then when someone responds
wdym by consistency?
I mean like i get on and even after a warmup I feel like im not doing as good as i should be doing
Every now and then
And some things i do pregame can affect that
Ygm
people are inherently inconsistent
also in game has many other variables
compared to warmup (assuming ur using kvks for warmup)
Im consistent usually as long as i follow a routine
I do kvks as a warmup
Around 30min usually
But i mean like pregame
Like showers, etc
ah
you could try the
daily schedule
theres a recommended/outline of one in pins here
Ait I'll try it ty
GG @glossy dove, you just advanced to level 3 !
everytime i use my mouse for at least 10 mins i get pain and redness around this area
bottom left spot is where my hand rests on the mousepad when i hold my mouse palm style
and for my pinky, i dont know where to put it so i just let it rest on the mousepad and it rubs and it hurts
idk if its my mouse (logitech g502) or my grip
your mouse might be too big for you
when i had a mouse that was too wide it hurt my hand
on the right side
think your hands a bit on the smaller side
Yeah
might be your grip
seems like the pinky and back palm problem is more from the pad than the mouse?
