Do you stretch at all? or put constant pressure on your elbow while gaming?
why do my wrist pop?
yeah it was like an accident i just hit a door with my elbow
now idk why it hurts
Thanks :D
?
Might try this ye
I'm curious does anyone know their avg bpm while playing a ranked game. Lately I seem to have had increased heartrates upwards of 120bpm while in very intense games. I would say my bpm only reaches 120bpm in 1vX scenarios but im not sure if this is healthy.
its pretty normal id say, everyone gets excited or nervous then you just need to calm yourself down as you will most likey whiff or play bad
120 seems totally fine to me. Usually when doing sports your BPM can be about 180 -[your age]. So for me 180-17=163. Now to be fair sports ≠ esports but its just to show a reference and I think you can see that 120 is fine.
You just get that slight adrenaline rush, nothing to worry about.
treat games like its your job = 0bpm
yeah completely fine
Thanks guys! I didnt think anyone would actually respond.
Is there anyway I could increase my stamina when training and ingame? I feel like my aim is really good at the start then starts falling off after an hour or so of playing.
If you mean 1hr of straight aim training then thats totally normal I guess. Just take 5min breaks every 30min. In game just take a 5 min break every hour or so. If you wanna increase your stamina either keep playing or do sports
Doing Sports should be a good Idea anyways, way more benefits than just more stamina in game
Alright thank you for the feedback!
some dude on my team was talking shit to our team, i started getting really tilted, my arm started tensing up, and my aim became really shaky. any tips to stay calm in that situation and not get pissed?
if he's talking crap, then you know they're in a bad state and should be... taken with a grain of salt. even if they do say some true stuff (which, if possible, you should learn and improve from), you should also keep in mind that they themselves are doing something wrong by talking to the team in such a way
I've heard aerobic exercise is the best kind of exercise to help with aim improvement. Is there any truth in this? And if so how much of it should I be doing?
Probably 15 minutes daily of really intense cardio or 30 mins moderate intensity is a good start
Anyone have any tips for better sleep in the summer? Seems like I always sleep significantly worse in the summer, not sure if it’s the light in the morning disturbing my sleep or what but I end up fatigued throughout the day. Maybe I should pickup a sleep mask.
Thank you (:
No problem!
could be temperature?
Shouldn’t be, AC is usually on throughout the night
could my bad eyesight be a disadvantage in aiming?
my left eye is basically useless(cant properly focus/see anything other than shapes/colors) and i cant watch movies where you need 3d glasses because of that
I think @sonic seal also has problems with his eyes but he managed to get nova
idk what type tho
and if its as bad as urs
i dont think it causes me much problems(that I know of) and im not looking for excuses, just wanted to know if it could be a possibility! :) thanks
it's surely not an advantage for sure, it can probably slow down some progress but it's most definitely do-able
alright thanks! yeah i dont think it will be that much of a problem for now, maybe later on it could be a bottleneck.
I have astigmatism, where my left eye is far-sighted, while my right is near-sighted. This affects my ability to be really precise on small targets and certain games, esp tacfps (I think)
damn. i dont think ive ever heard about that condition, really interesting to hear and thanks for your input :) cant really go to the doctor and ask if my eyes are the reason why im not gm in pasu.
Astigmatism is pretty common but yeah definitely still possible to perform well to an extent with bad eyes
same
never noticed anything with my aim though
1 dont use any kind of source blue light at least 30min before sleep. 2. Try to reduce your temperature by cold shower - when we are going to sleep our body temperature is going down we can help it with cold shower. 3 Dont eat "fat" food 4h before sleep. 4. try stretch exercises 10 min before sleep 5. Reduce light in room 10/15min before sleep - it helps your nervous system to calm down
https://youtu.be/pq6WHJzOkno?t=7671
Cold shower will increase core body temperature, making you more alert
I describe mechanisms by which deliberate cold exposure can enhance mental health, physical health, and performance. I detail specific protocols to safely engage in deliberate cold exposure, including minimal exposure times, time-of-day effects, determining optimal temperatures, recovery, mindset, and movement during cold exposure. I discuss how...
definitely not great for sleeping
people start #nofap
thanks i didnt know that!
Bruh no fap is so fucking hard to do but by looking at the benefits of no fap I can’t resist not doing it at the same time
literally none?
overdoing something surely yeah, but there is no downside
I mean not really
But by looking at some YouTube videos it really impacts you and I haven’t realized it myself
Because fapping makes you stuck inside of your comfort zone, making it harder to do things that you don’t want to do
doing it only has benefits
If that makes sense
i mean that seems like just doing it for the wrong reasons and a personal thing
It does have benefits but it has more dis-benefits than benefits
Wait let me switch to computer to type faster
I don't always think rationally if I avoid it, plus it helps sleeping better, and reduce any tension or stress or anxiety
@tawny oyster is it ok if I add you for a sec
ig
is wrist aiming bad or can cause problems int he future?
Top of wrist hurts, went from playing a high sens game to a super low sens game then back to 30cm
Is this because I went from high to low too quickly?
Hi, don't know if this is the place to ask this
but I have this thing that happens after maybe 20-40 mins of screen time
where my vision gets a tad more blurry and harder to focus onscreen
any tips for mitigating this?
lower brightness, keep room lights on, blink more, dont kiss screen
Cheers
is there a document or something for posture ?
I have one lol
thank you for this, I was literally about to ask if anyone had any good pics on what good posture looks like
just played kovaaks for an hour and my neck started hurting, figured it was my posture
i wanted to know if a person considers gaming as a career option does his eyesight matter?
im nearsighted with a power of 5 in my right eye and 6 in my left eye and even the doctor has said that its purely because of my genetics because my father also has a power of 8 and 9 and the doctor even said that it is fine even if u are playing for 12 hours a day it does not make you blind but my father does not agree he thinks that my current condition is like an athlete who has health problems and is unable to compete
do we have a doctor here or is there someone who knows a doctor i really need help regarding every information i can get on this
As longs as u see the screen it doesnt matter i think
I have really poor eyesight. From close and far and it doesnt really matter
Wont hold me back much
Be sure to make 20/20/20 rule tho to relax eyes
Every 20min look at something that's 20m away for 20sec
i have wrist pains when i try to push ups im not sure what to do and i dont want to tell my parents cause of fear of what might happen
There is a channel called 1HP that has videos on exercises for gamers like wrist and arm exercises
i have this kinda weird mental thing that is definitely hindering improvement rn
if i'm struggling to do something rly badly rly consistently i can feel this like buildup of frustration until it reaches a point where i just stop training and mald for a few minutes. it seems to mainly happen when i struggle with something i think is supposed to be easy
i dont really know what to do about it cause the answer isnt as simple as "just push through". i dont rly expect anyone to have a good answer but i thought i might as well post here in case anyone can help
the main issue is porn, i think if u do it without looking at porn then its fine but porn has proven adverse affects
thanks
i'm nearsighted, is it important that i wear my glasses when playing fps games? i almost never wear them. i'm not sure if it's a serious issue when playing and aiming
can wrist aiming harm you in the long run? i heard both yes as well as no
you put more stress on the wrist than if you were using both your wrist and your arm
harmful or not depends a lot on wildly different individual variables
so on the top side of my arm (extensors), i been getting random sharp pain while doing different task, writing, gaming, lifting thing and now every time i stretch by making a circle, i can feel like popping in my tendon i think?
i have full control of my hand but while i aim train there like this ghostly numbness, its like it is and isnt at the same time, nothing seem wrong i can still perform
See a physio ASAP if you can
Is anyone here experienced with under performing and raging when ur physical condition sucks like i literally dont drink any water and i dont eat a lot like twice a day that are small meals and i think that its impacting every single thing i do ingame my arms are shaky and i cant even micro correct like im just wondering could that be a potential reason for under performing but like a lot
Yea it will affect you so why dont u eat and drink, if there isn’t a reason make it a priority
Bro, fuck games n shit
Health >>>>
Honestly not worth doing a lot of gaming n aim training if your health is that bad, just focus on keeping healthy, see a medical expert if possible, watch diet, exercise a bit, get vitamin d, and fulfill Ur responsibilities (work, study, family, pets)
And then after all that worry about the virtual shiz
Much much much easier said than done
But there's gotta be a first step somewhere
And usually it's reaching out to a family member/medical expert
u gotta drink and eat in good portions
doesnt drink any water
i tend to tense up my shoulder when aimtraining is there a way to stop doing this
if you dont feel good, you dont play good. Drink water its not that hard. invest in a large 8 cup water bottle so you dont have to refill it so often and try to drink atleast one a day!
trust me you will not only feel better, but play better.
i wanted to buy this for a long time but i didnt and i hate having plastic water bottles since water taste changes into plastic or smth like that but i need to go and get one like that, btw is there any difference between one thats made of stainless steel and plastic sports ones
thats really bad lol
nope
stainless steel will last longer
and keep water cooler
if ur into that
like ofc its gonna affect you if you dont eat/drink exercise
what kind of a question is that
if you cant eat properly during the day you shouldnt be playing games
kiku 13 other people have answered his question
ur also not being helpful
ur not helping him ur shitting on his choices
13? aight
instead try and help change his shitty choices
yeah the path to improvement sounds rough
and i wasnt even being rude lol
yeah?
dude cant eat properly to the point his hands are shaking
he shouldnt be playing
i didnt? u ok dude
delete msgs this is a health channel
not a discussion channel still stand by my point
also pogu ur a satisfactory gamer
and i stand by my point too, ive dealt with the thing he is currently doing
ive had issues with eating my whole life, if he is at that point he shouldnt be playing
its simple as that
if you look at how i responded its VASTLY diff from the way you responded
i actually presented a solution
so did i
and gave him helpful feedback
stop playing games for now, deal with the eating issues
what u doing my dude this is a waste of time
what?
deleting because this isnt a discussion channel
look at the top of the channel
well u are idc
i presented a solution and helped him out you simply told him what he was doing was bad
he knows its bad
it is bad
thats why he is here
good
so give him a solution next time!
i did, and ive dealt with bad eating myself
stop playing fix eating
not much to it
if theres an underlying cause for not eating properly
treat that
but games shouldnt be a priority in his case
you can do both
he is eating
🐱
2 small meals per day could be the person is even anorexic
lol
it wasnt my choice though, if hes choosing to not eat that could be a issue, but again we dont know
but hes eating atleast twice a day small meals. atleast hes eating yk
@red salmon i would buy a stainless steel waterbottle because there going to last longer and maintain quality far better then a plastic alternative.
also if you dont mind could you give us a little more detail on your eating habits
like what and when are you eating, and do you want to eat or are you just eating because you know you need too.
any advice how to use idk what is it called lmao? can it harm my hand if i use it wrong way?
i mean, what is best way to use it?
just don't care and do it when i want, like 200 times per day randomly, or better to control this shit?
controlled movements imo.
How to handle with stress? I'm getting stressed like even 5 times per day, I'm very emotional and I cant really control it, when I'm getting stressed my stomach hurts and I cant eat anything
?
Set a goal weight, a rep rate, and a warmup weight.
warmup for 10 - 20 reps, close the rep rate for 4 - 5 reps, 5 sets until you reach goal weight
repeat
( VERY BASIC ADVICE, try captain of crush forums for more advanced stuff or a better routine)
Focus on not tensing until it becomes instinctual
when I try tracking scenarios on a higher sens (20-25cm/360) and use my wrist I notice that moving it far to the left and far to thr right (somewhere past 20 degrees let's say) my hand starts shaking
and I can just see my crosshair shake and feel my hand shaking
is that like a bad sign?
like it even happens when it's the first time I play during the day
Before you reach an uncomfortable part of moving your wrist you should incorporate arm movement to continue tracking or reposition your mouse
its probably bad for your wrist
like I'm doing it now at a faster speed and its no problem
but when I am precisely tracking a slow moving target like the first scenario in silver fundamentals
it starts shaking
and I wanna use my arm but its reaaalllly difficult on high sens
you don't use one or the other, its like a combination of both
in a smooth swiping motion
Look at this handcam for example

Sens: 43cm / 1600 DPI / 103Hfov
Song: C21FX Ancient Evil (epic soundtrack)
ahhh I see yeah I tried that, thats gonna take a bit of practise to get used to
What can I eat as a substitue for bread, I eat A LOT of bread
depends on why youre substituting it
why does my mouse grip just feel like absolute garbage
like my whole wrist just
feels weird
are you healthy? getting outside, drinking water, eating regularly maybe even working out?
tensing likely
Yes, but I'm not eating regularly when I'm stressed because I cant eat
I went to physical therapy and they did a general exam and apparently I have low wrist range of movement
so arm aim
focus on health before anything else
so I should stick with low sens?
what did the pt say? whats the cause of the wrist rom
Try staying above 30 cm. If it still causes pain try 35. If still then 40 etc till you find something this is pain free
I think genetics
it doesnt hurt but i notice it shakes when I bend too much
low sens arm aiming
could make micro corrections hard.
with your wrist
what games do you play?
that game is perfect for arm aiming
if your wrist isnt "flexible" tac fps may be hard
but honestly, a fucked wrist isnt stopping you
It isnt and it shouldnt
I'm just wondering how it can affect me achieving the best aim i can have
just make sure you maintain healthy play habits
stretch often, take breaks dont over use your wrist
recently its been hurting from the gym
some exercises require a lot of wrist flexibility
honestly starting to concern me a lot
I know I can fix it in the gym aspect by using wrist wraps but what about gaming
think? what kind of a pt is that
did he even give any exercises
sounds like a really shitty pt
100% @bold hemlock would suggest consulting a diff PT, your current one doesnt seem very knowledgeable.
until then just stretch and stay healthy.
why does my aiming wrist hurt while doing push-ups?
mine hurts while aim training after the gym
maybe it has a lot of tension and pressure
So I use my wrist for practically everything is that something I should heavily try to change towards arm aiming n movement?
Focus on wrist streches, I have a fucked wrist from a botched reset but it doesn’t stop me. I play wrist but switch to arm aim sometimes if it starts to get fatigued. You also gotta make sure you’re not tensing up at all when you’re playing or training. You’ll get a burning sensation after around 5-10 mins of tensing consistently and this will lead to early rsi. That’s why most people don’t play high sens. I play high sens but I do all the precautions I need to save what I have left in my wrist.
any tips on not having to much tension and what do you mean by pressure ?
My hands shake all the time for over a few years what can i do?
My eyes hurt a lot after playing for hours on end, anyways to help combat this?
Stop playing
play with light on turn down brightness
Is going to the gym linked to being a better aimer in any way?
yes
good health = good aiming = good vibes = good life = good good
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR HEALTH
color settings for colorblind people i just can't see red?
Hi everyone so whenever i wrist aim it s smooth but when i try tracking with my arm, i tend to shake alot and when i do it for too long it becomes worse, any tips? (I play at 25cm/360)
oo that happens to me too
shaking is normal and it's a part of the process when using a high sensitivity, it's a matter of practice or lowering sens
Could you tell me some scenarios to work on that?
Is there a guide for eye strain in this channel? Saw 1 for wrist but not eyes
any
for tracking at least
does anybody have/had pain in the elbow down to his/her wrist? Also how can i fix it?(pain with and wihout using the mouse)
@brittle tapir massage and forearm exercises with low weight (started with a small water bottle) and around 12/15 reps worked for me but u can always check a physiotherapist if the excercises dont feel good
U can also check - 1hp - on youtube he has some nice routines to strenght recover and prevent
i think i need to check a physiotherapist cuz this occurred after i broke my 5th metacarpal bone (2yrs ago) and its on the ulnar nerve of my arm 😦
i cant write with pen for extended period of time becuz of the same problem
U have ur forearm rotated a bit to the right when holding the mouse?
yep
imagine like my elbow is looking the ground
but on my left arm my elbow is looking kind on to the wall
Thats bad u should keep it straight
Could be ulnar nerve but im no expert maybe some1 else can help u with that
every mouse i get i always like tilt a bit right no matter the grip
thats the best pic i could get of my arm while aiming
and if i got to claw grip my hand goes i little bit more to the right
U can do ulnar nerve stretches but i believe their risky so be carefull might be smart to check out ur local doctor
yea probably :/
many people do
It depends on ur grip, mouse size, hand size
As you see in the picture my hand isn't perfectly lined up with the arm. It's bent into the decoration on the small finger.
mine is actual lined up
any1 kno why my micro adjustments would be the most effected from a rotator cuff strain rather than arm movements
brb
the tip of my thumb/nail hurts after like 5hours of playing I’m assuming it’s because I grip my mouse to hard but I can’t figure out how to stop
this might be a bit of a dumb question, but I don't hydrate a lot lately and it actually shows in my gameplay as well. I'm just a bit curious, if I fill up my water bottle would it be better to just chug all of the water at once and refill and drink it when I feel dehydrated or should I take a few sips every few mins?
not really effective to drink it all at once, has to be through the day just use an app
to remind you
ooohhh that's a good one actually
cus when I drink, I get thristy really fast
like I already drank 2 liters
?
just try to consciously remind yourself to relax
imagine you're holding something that requires you to be gentle
like a cat or something
thanks this actually helped Alot I’ll try it tomorrow I think the cat thing will actually work

anyone else have hand soreness from combining aim training + gaming + lifting weights?
dont know if i should aim train on rest days or what
or only aim train on the days i lift, and rest on rest days
overuse is cumulative so its not rly gonna matter so much that its on the same day
probably wanna game/aim train before lifting
since ur way more energy depleted if u lift before
i dont think u need a rest day from aim training lol
for non-cognitive reasons at least
the stress on ur hand/arm is a lot different to lifting
i dont think they really contribute to overuse in the same way
i train for about 5 hrs per day in a pretty focused fashion and I definitely feel it in my arm and wrist, but I wouldn't say I'm experiencing pain or anything. This is fine as long as I'm not experiencing pain or anything right?
there's no reason to do that much tbh, you're hitting diminishing returns at that point, id go for max two hrs
full disclosure the reason I do it is I work from home taking calls and it's usually dead asf so I have plenty of time. The reason I usually land on 5 hours is mostly because that's how long it takes to do every voltaic weakness routine in succession
well if ur resetting a lot then u shouldn't be
if ur taking a lot of breaks then its fine
yeah i'd say i take 15 minute breaks and stretch pretty regularly throughout the hours so hopefully that helps matters-- i'm trying to go from shit aim and shit aiming habits to the top percentile so ig it's a tough grind
I got used to going to sleep really early in the morning and getting up at like 2,3 pm and now i have to make my sleep schedule normal for tomorrow since from now on ill have to wake up at like 5am and i dont know what could help me do it
my click finger be hurting
I find myself naturally hovering my entire arm, and holding it up whilst moving my mouse, which leads me to fatigue immediately and my wrist/fingers often get tired within a few seconds because I'm forced to tense up so much with them. What could be the problem with my seating position that's causing such an exaggerated issue?
Is playing at the day leads to better performance then the night?
Not necessarily, it depends on your energy levels and how much rest you've gotten, usually matters more than time of day. You can always try and see if you notice a pattern, but it is absolutely not that big of a difference, so don't even worry about it
how do i get rid of rsi
rest and take breaks and stretch and hydrate
But I should stop playing till it goes away first?
yes
dont do something if it hurts
Aight thanks
Don't stop using it, but maybe stop playing for a bit. Resting anything that's experiencing RSI for a few days could lead to weakness in that area, so don't immobilise yourself. Use a hot/cold pack, move around and be active, and take a small break from gaming but don't take a break from using this painful area, keep it somewhat active within reason
yup, but i can still use the computer right? or is the strain from using the mouse browsing and working comparable to the strain when playing?
You can still use the computer, but if you feel the pain setting in again, just take your hand off the mouse for a bit, don't aggravate it further
thanks, that's exactly what i'm trying to do
although i do feel the pain extends to my forearm and shoulder, especially the funny bone and when stretching my shoulders.
I keep feeling a weird pain in my hand/wrist area sometimes when gaming
And even when im not on the pc the nerves in my wrist are constantly tingling
could I have carpal tunnel? Any advice on how to get rid of the feeling
Not sure who to ping so I'll just leave this here
Do you guys think your perception of your own luck affects your performance?
What do you mean by that?
Like the targets you hit are clustered in a way so that you can achieve a better score than yes, I have felt like that many times before.
Hi all! Does any of you have some insight/resource on what is the healthiest and/or best sitting "position" when on the PC doing work, playing etc. I'm talking about chair height relative to the desk and all that. Thanks in advance!
How do I fix hand shaking? It’s not only noticeable while smoothness training but also when I’m just trying to steadily keep my hand in the air with and without moving it.
I probably should see a doctor but for a few months or so now I’ve been getting upper left chest pains, it mostly happens when I move my hand across my body and the day it hurts I notice when I first wake up. I don’t know if I’m sleeping funny or something could potentially be strained/shoulders too rounded.
how old are you? cuz i never had a problem when I was young but when I got older my body couldnt keep up with the gaming lifestyle
If My wrist gets tired during kovaaks should I stop immediately?
I usually do 45min-60min a day but my wrist starts getting tired at maybe 30-35min in
And I’m wondering if that leads to diminishing returns or it’s not big deal and just keep pushing through or what
I like to keep pushing through but then I feel like I should barely do any kovaaks the next day bc I’m not trying to work so much that my sim sucks for a brief period from overtraining or something
you could focus on using less wrist/lower sens
do u tense ur hand? lately ive started to consciously relax my hand if i notice than i tense to much. i can do tasks for much longer relaxed. i always relax for microadjustments but not always for big first flicks from current to the next target
Uhhh I think I am not fully relaxed but not fully tense?
But also if I fully relax my hand my aim feels worse
Like less precise I guess
any arm aimers have any experience with shoulder / upper trap tightness
i'm right handed and i notice when i turn left in-game i have to sort of rotate my shoulder, how should I be holding my mouse so i don't do that anymore
Curious could an ice pack help with tense hands or would warm water help more ?
if accidentally got tunnel syndrome, can i play on controller with it? or it's more individual shit?

any stretches for people who use their arm/ shoulder to aim
Idk if its just that my hands are bony or somethin, but aim training and gaming cause them to wear out. Red point on the wrist is where i pivot the mouse movement and red points of fingers are puffed up (potentially by mouse grip]. Should I take a one week break or any other suggestions would be helpful.
Apologise for the bad drawing lol
How tense is your grip, how fast is your sensitivity, and how long do you play each day?
i thought its only me, before i had some irritated skin there on the wrist to the left where u r showing like callus. Rn its almost gone after a few weeks but that area of skin has like callus scar tissue idk how to call it skin is rougher there
Slightly tense but I actively try to detense, 45cm /360, 3-4 hours
What type of grip do you use? A more aggressive grip is typically way more fatiguing than something more relaxed. Have you been playing games with mouse and keyboard for a while?
Fingertip grip but with pinky off the mouse
Yeah, fingertip is pretty fatiguing. Taking some breaks throughout the day will definitely help. There's a bunch of small muscle groups you use to grip that are generally underdeveloped, so you've got to build them up - and finger muscles take a while to build strength.
The more straight you generally keep the fingers, the less it'll fatigue, but it'll affect your range of motion
Rocket jump ninja uses a relaxed fingertip grip, could be a good example if you want to try something like that
Aight ty
This is probably a different question than usual, is there an app or something where I can get a schedule or coach that will help me get fit for free?
what finger exercises should i do before and after practicing and playing to stop my fingers from locking. My fingers, after long time of playing, lock into place as if im holding a mice, and when i extend them it feels a bit sore but after some time it disappears.
Posture, stretching, circulation, strengthening. I use foam rollers and roll out my back and thoracic spine. Your posture is probably not good. If you feel pain, you need to stop what is giving you pain and work on fixing this problem immediately.
TY
hi, im pretty sure i know the answer to the question but i thought id ask just in case. im transitioning from male to female and was wondeing if hrt will affect me long term in game
obviously its the least of my concerns, just a little thought haha
why do i feel dizzy after aim training?
hello guys, I wanted to ask, if anyone here has the knowledge about eyesight and eyes in general, because i sit very close to my monitor and also use glasses, but i wanted to ask if there are any glasses i could get, so my eyes wont take that much dmg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g6rRZ16WOk&t=199s for example in this video twistzz is talking about special glasses, but my english isnt good enough to understand what he is talking about
Spunj sits down with Twistzz and goes over everything he needs to set up to get his SSD ready for a match on stage!
What peripherals is he using, CSGO settings and config, why the monitor is always so close to him and more!

Sitting very close to your screen for prolonged periods of time will indefinitely damage your eyes so make sure to take regular breaks or even just look away for 30 seconds once in a while. Also some people are just better at staring at a screen without hurting their eyes than others.
Also if your eyesight isnt good enough to play without being close to your screen because you cant see everything well enough i would definitely go see an eye doctor - fellow blind andy👍
Also one more point. I am pretty sure the glasses Twistzz is talking about are blue light filtering glasses. They help prevent eye strain from your screen
but he was talking about distance 13-15cm stuff
My hand is very shaky during aiming is there any solutions for that?
Same, whenever I do tracking scenarios my aim gets jumpy.
My wrist and forearm get very shaky as well. Would love some advice.
The movement of my wrist isn't smooth but steppy.
I had the exact same issue at the very start when I began aimtraining. What I did was put on some music relaxed my hand and tried arm aiming as much as possible. I got my scores much more consistent that way
so u didnt use ur wrist that much?
Before I started I would primarily use my wrist but to stop the jitteriness of my aiming I used my wrist less because arm aiming was much more smooth for me
Also focus on smoothly moving to your target when doing reactive scenarios because flicking is much more intense on your wrist and less consistent I find.
(POORLY ENGLISH)
I discovered this community a few days ago and I was surprised, from Aimer7's thesis to Voltaic's automatic benchmarking software, all the dedication and organization of each member and passionate about aiming inspired me to generate my own routine.
I am Master 1 in aimlab but the monotony of its exercises bored me, I bought Koovaks yesterday and downloaded all the fundamental routines, routines and
Weakness-specific routines.
so I designed an optimistic program of 200 days from iron rutines to grandmaster rutines, expecting a grandmaster rank in benchamrks at day 200, all this apart from my aimlab routine; although it sounds fanciful, I believe in myself and in my improvement.
ill start tomorrow, wish me luck, sorry for bad english.
Keep grinding brothers
yeah, the docs are not in english but try to understand them xd
You shouldn't set an expectation on yourself to achieve X rank in Y days, look for improvement, not for results
really good advice thank you
iirc part of eye strain is just not blinking enough when looking at screens. That's also why some people experience watery eyes while playing or aim training
I'm pretty sure that the blue light glasses are to help the death of cells in the retina that cause vision loss rather than help with eye strain. I read this one study while I was at school that showed that blue light didn't have any effects on eye strain. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33587901/
thats very unlikely, and you will probbably stop progressing either in the beggining if its too easy or later if its too hard, what rank are u now
?
Do you happen to be hydrated?
Being slightly dehydrated can affect performance and dehydration can cause dizziness or lightheadedness
very hydrated
Do you tense up often. Maybe tense up around your jaw, toes or neck area
^
Tensing up in all these areas can restrict air flow, blood flow and cause migraines and what not
By mew do you mean hold your tongue at the top of your mouth?
yes but I was doing it poorly and tensed my jaw when mewing but haven't done it recently
could it be because I sit on my left foot
I thought the tongue's normal resting position is at the top of the mouth
It may just be motion sickness which is when your brain mismatches messages from your inner ear and eyes. Also make sure your game isnt choppy and you dont sit to close to your screen. If this is quite common or severe I would probably get checked out for epilepsy and what not
And remember to eat plenty.
yeah it is
Behind front teeth and Infront of the slope with only the tip touching righ
yeah
Im quite skeptical about mewing. I do it sometimes myself but I often had throat problems and mouth ulcers because I would mouth breath in my sleep. My jawline is perfect and I only started mewing about a month ago. I think your jawline is mostly about genetics and fat percentage. But it did help when I was sleeping so I didnt wake up with no voice
Idek I'm skeptical also but it doesn't hurt to have good tongue posture I assume so I might just build the habit.
I suppose. Just make sure your not doing it while playing sports or intensive activities because you dont want to pass out from a lack of oxygen
LOL
I breath threw my mouth when I'm extremely focused so lets hope ill be fine
Also make sure you do breath while aimtraining. Because not breathing during explicit activities
can lead to very bad migraines and dizzyness. Not sure if this translates to an epic gamer session doe🤣
but but but my chad jawline
people wont know you have a chad jawline if you have a stroke
take the bluepill and the story ends. You wake up in your bed with your chad jawline and stay bad at videogames. You take the red pill you stay in kovaaks and I show you how to really get good at fps games.
I hurt my wrist this morning and it hurts when i try to move it to left or right, is there any exercises i can do or should i just rest and wait
First of all if you can you should bandage it so that it does not move, if you have any ointment that you can apply to the wrist and on top of the hand better, but the most important thing is that it is immobilized for now, and if the pain continues for a long time you I recommend going to a doctor
Okay tysm
I'm here to help
OR I CAN HAVE BOTH!
rest 2 weeks if it gets worse see dr
the tip of my index finger I use for mouse 1 gets flat and painful at the tip after aim training no other pain besides that does anyone else have this issue?
I am having issues with aim training after work. It has been very hard to get 8 hours of sleep since we got a new puppy in the house. I’ve been getting roughly 6:30-7 hours a night this week and am definitely feeling it when I get off work and want to game. Is it better to train through the drowsiness or should I not bother?
i'd say dont bother
just aim train a little bit dont train for more than 45mins
If you really want to get better there really isnt any harm in training even if you feel kinda shitty. Even if its a whole month of feeling shitty as long as you dont stop focusing on improving it will still benefit you. Obviously if you really just cant stay awake training you might need to take a lil break until your ready to begin again
how to get over anxiety that causes shaky aim? almost hit daimond yesterday and now i cant even hit plat scores bc i was anxious about hitting diamond today this is fucked
Take a break, take some deep breathes water and remember - you are doing this for nobody else beside yourself and your improvement. You're going to improve no matter what and some days are just okay. All a part of progress.
I second deep breathing and hydration. make sure you’re breathing well and take time to focus on breathing. that helps me whenever I’m anxious and shaky
how do I stay focused? sometimes I notice myself going cross-eyed or out-of-focus in-game, and I tend to go on autopilot or can’t snap myself out of it. I never thought focus would be an issue but I’ve been unable to aim properly because I cannot focus
sometimes im having a really bad day and im bad pretty much all the games i play but significantly worse than usually and im wondering could lack of water or not eating properly even for one or 2 days cause this
Defo not eating and staying hydrated properly will affect all activities so make sure to👍 also if you are struggling to due to mental health there is no shame in seeking help through friends and family etc
no mental health issue but sometimes due to pretty weird school shedule i have to skip a meal or so and i even forget to drink water and than when i get ingame i feel how my aim is "shaky" and i dont feel like i can control is as good as i usually do
I know what you mean with school and all. Just try and get dem nutrients in when possible even if it means switching up your eating schedule the more routine it gets and the healthier it is the better you will function in all areas including school
my suggestion is keep hydrated, eat something, and try to focus
i’ve had issues with eating due to schedules/personal issues and it’s impacted my gameplay, but it’s not too hard a fix when there’s no underlying issue
Oh my god this actually stretched my elbow. 1st time something actually worked
What should I eat for better performance??
why do my white targets look kind of blue?
i am 100% sure they are pure white, but sometimes they look bluer to me
this is my visual setup
thats because you are using red background
probbably if u play in dark
nice hien
u start to see like negatives of the color or something if it's too bright and vibrant
Best monitor distance for vision?
My dyshidrosis got infected but I'm taking medicine for it now, what should I do once the blisters heal and dry? Scratch them off or just ignore them till they disappear?
Is it normal to have the issue where your arm was fine playing long hours for about 3-4 weeks then later it just feels tired for a few days and your arm dexterity just decreases
Why do my hips and legs hurt after about an hour straight of captioning. It isn't very demanding work and my posture is good but it is just very twingy feeling around my hips to my knees. Does anyone know why this is happening?
i want to ask people who aim fully relaxed and those who tense for big flicks and do microadjust relaxed (on sens like 34-48cm)
how fast ur wrist and forearm get tired? if i play static for my pb 10-15 times in a row i get tired is that normal
Do you have yiur wrist raised of your desk or is your arm hovering because if you do stop it cuz its gonna fuck you up
no my wrist is touching the mousepad always only when i do large flick like 180 i lift it a bit but it still touches the mp
You got chunky arms?
what exactly do u mean by chunky? i dont have crazy muscled arms if u mean that or fat arms
thin arms with some muscle
i know what you mean. Where is your pivot point(if you arm aim at all) and if not do you play fingertip, claw or palm
i play claw grip
Do you rest your elbow on or off thr desk?
of the desk. middle party of my forearm is on the edge of the desk and i use it as base
and i wrist flick for mid-close flicks and for small swipes i can just turn my arm while having this mid forearm point at the same place all time
or for big swipes i move my resting point
That also seems normal
do you have bad posture or some underlying condition?
And do you hold your breath in tense moments
no i dont hold my breath in tense moments only if i am in cold shower xd
my posture is a bit weird it can be wrong coz my body plane isnt orthogonal to the hand. i spin my chair a bit to ther right coz its comfortable for me
coz if i were to sit parallel to the table with my body my hand on the mousepad will be angles like this \
and mousepad is parallel to the edges of the table
: do you eat and drink properly. Staying hydrated is important to stop your muscles wearing out and dw if you angle your chair because thats normal if you wany to arm aim on a shallow desk/pad
🧑🎨
yes i do eat and drink properly
i showed that my body is turned to the right see
its because i got used sitting like that coz it allows my arm to be orthogonal to the horizontal edges of the mousepad
coz hien has x y difference
and its just how i hold my hand
Honestly its 3 am and im cooked as fuck in bed rn but it might be your fighting a lot of friction thats making you tire out quicker
i will try to do some runs fully relaxed to see how many will tire me out
how many runs can u do in a row before getting tired in forearm and wrist
If you want to stay relaxed make sure no body parts are tense(even them toes), play some music or just pleasant noise and make sure your not leaning to hard on your mouse and you have a reasonably loose grip
yeah i can try that even tho i get worse scores like that someone told me u can achieve same scores once u train enough
and top scores mostly also relaxed some tense for big flicks but relax for microadjust they said to me
If you want proof that relaxing makes your tracking and accuracy betterc heck out Ceiba. He legit has hand tremors and is top reactive player
mb thats what helped him to become the top player
gn bro?
xd
Does anybody know why I feel like my right forearm gets fatigued and tickles a bit and how can it get better?
The tickle will transfer to the wrist and its so annoying, it almost feels like the right arm is not resting properly but it is.. the only way it goes away is if I lay on my bed looking up and extend the arm all the way for a couple minutes, I've already tried taking long breaks and still the same, never felt any pain or anything like that
is this tickling in ur vein? i have sometimes this idk why
probs not the right place to ask but anyone whos quit smoking weed msg me and give me support this is ruining me
the anxiety i have from this is ruining my aim
and making me so so so pissed at every little thing i do wrong
train your forearm
strengthen that bad boi
@rain harbor yup haha
yo im doing a paper on marijuana and esports, if i could hear some of your guys input on how you think it effects players in all different games. If you think that it gives players an advantage/disadvantage, should it be banned in competition, etc. Personally I am all for a controlled use of it, as long as a person is not abusing it, but I know each person may have a different reaction to it making it a little hard to get a full understanding of the whole situation for other players. anything helps experiences, opinions, thoughts, ideas. thanks
my hand hurts, what do you recommend? I don't want to go to the doctor...
yep i have the same randomly like it pops up and down without pain tho
ive talked to some ppl who using it some ppl say u get calmer with it but slower reaction time. just look at researches concerning it and reaction time mb
yeah i did all that i figured id get it from peoples first hand experiences
same
do u have ac on cold mode in ur room?
idk it depends.. the ac is usually at 78 but at night is at 75
what finger exercises should I do before and after gaming to prevent injury? I've experienced my fingers being sore after training and when i extend my fingers you get the feeling of moving a sore part of your body. In order to get rid of that feeling my fingers default to my mouse grip. It almost seems like it was used to this position. A little pain also happens in my palm near the thumb. (Check the picture). What exercises would you suggest?
For those who have ADHD and take Vyvanse. Do you get used to how the medicine affects fine motor skills?
Unusual hand jitteriness and shakiness when reacting to targets movements
My hands overreact unreasonably when tracked targets change direction
I have a question I think I have carpal tunnel in my wrist I’ve been aim training for 6 days now for about 3 hours my finger are fatigue and the left side of my wrist tingling help?
@spare trellis Take a complete break from aim training until your carpal tunnel/RSI has fully healed, or suffer permanent nerve/tissue damage that will forever cap your future gains...
I will thank you, I want to be the best.
BRO HOW DO I IMPROVE MY MENTAL
i cant move my hands slowly it shakes and i cant concentrate
in the game*
it also happens when i take a picture
and try not to move my hands
did anybody in here have to switch from wrist aiming to arm iming due to wrist pain? I am less than a week into aim training and i have been playing on a higher sens (20cm) and i have been noticing wrist pain the lst few days.
Meditation good
looking for sub 700 euros chair recommendations, i'm 1.93m and have a fairly high desk. I have large shoulders and i sometimes struggle to have good upper posture
Hello I have a question about my health when it comes to wrists.
Ok so my right wrist is much shakier than my left. When I bend my right wrist from all the way left to right or vise versa it tremors and jerks. However with my left wrist it doesn't do that like basically at all.
I could send a video.
Should I exceesise the wrist more or is this a bad thing and I should stop playing ?
Guys i really need advice on what to eat.
i would highly appreciate someone listing some good things and why they are good. also please send recepies of healthy meals
Are you sure it's like that to everyone ?? I don't think so else why would everyone else nkt have it when aiming. Send a vid if you don't mind. I got told it's because I have weak muscles or potentially tendons as far as I remembe r
Or not being used I mean do you work or do something in particular? I mean if a doctor told you that you have weak muscles or potentially tendons then that might be the problem so discuss it with the doctor not with us
Wrist pain probably from wrist aiming on low sens do I raise sens or force more forearm/arm
arm all the way
hello guys, I would like some advice for those who perhaps have more experience playing with the arm. I have not tried most of the forearm on the table, and I can very easily in horizontal aiming and in turning the view 180 degrees, but in verticality it goes into over extension and basically I trace the target while the shoulder, instead, with only half I can do everything but turning the 180 view is difficult for me, that is, I can but with more difficulty, should I train this method or try something else? I can play both, but I have different problems with both, but which I can solve
I've heard that exercising before aim training helps you improve your aim. What sort of exercise does this refer to?
I think I’ve got irritant contact dermatitis as I’ve got everything it says and it hasn’t gone away for over at least 2 months any tips?
Sheesh bro I need to eat more protein rn my wrist isn’t strong enough for 1 hour aimtraining
Tracking pumps my shit ong
ong i gotta whip out my 5lb dumbbell
i talked about it on #general but i didn't notice this channel so i will ask here
how much does sugar impact your aim ?
doesn't in moderation
I've been having a bit of forearm pain since last night
its more like an ache i feel like rather than PAIN but
it feels just like sorta sore on my forearm
Around here
And it sorta goes to my wrist
anyone have a good idea of how I could make this feel better?
actually a little higher in the image
What’s your height and wingspan?
EAT A SANDWICH GOT DAMN!
LMAO
Idk I’m probably around 6 foot maybe 5’11?
Idk wingspan tbh lol
LMAO I just realized how skeleton I look in that
No, eat multiple
That’s why I asked
🚗 👩✈️
More relaxed
Less mald
Less care
Ok I think I have carpal tunnel or sum. either way, my hand has been in pain like last 3-4 weeks when ever I am playing videogames, I thought this was just due to normal pain I get from arthritis, but now it has gotten much worse and has been in constant pain last few days. Been applying heat to it and ice packs which both are only temporary but I kind of need to use my hands.
since I have homework, and a videogame tournament this weekend.
Any advice?
I scheduled an appointment for next week with my doctor.
I think a doctors appointment is a good way.
Apart from that, some other things to consider:
Is it only when you play games? How is it when you use your mouse/keyboard in a casual way (e.g. Discord, browsing Reddit, watching YouTube)?
Is there a difference between some casual chill playing and competitive tryharding?
Does the pain also occur on other pc-unrelated tasks where you need to use your hands a lot?
eat and train your forearms idk what else to say lol
so ive been aim training p hard and I think i fudged up smth
i click with both my left thumb(spacebar) and my right pointer finger(left click)
now my left forearm feels bruised(but it doesn't look bruised) and the tip of my pointer finger feels like it bent the wrong way
fyi I play a fingertip-claw hybrid and my forearm hurts when something touches it, and my pointer finger only hurts when i make a fist(experimenting rn on why it hurts)
pls help
do i needa do hand stretches now? xd
or should i just take a break
oh and my forearm's been feeling bruised for a couple days now(at least 3?)
okay so, my pointer finger only hurts if i clench my hand
my other hand doesn't hurt though
It has been consistent pain the last few days, increased when I play. Before that it was like when i play competitively (normally pretty long) or when I do a bunch of hw in a day like 8-10 hours. I also did feel pain when for example: lifting a folding table that did not have a handle, or holding something heavyish with my mouse hand.
Also my right hand hurts while driving if I keep it in the 3 o'clock position for too long.
It feels like not necessarily painful right now, but tense and stiff like in the tendon between my forearm and wrist, between my knuckles, and the part of my palm that is under the thumb.
idk what exactly are the terms for these parts of my arm, that would be useful to know for doctor visit.
also I did play with my wrist/forward part of my forearm resting on my mousepad, which I think I should get a sleeve for to reduce the friction.
I also use a claw grip with palm touching mouse when playing games and then will swap to palm with all of my finger touching the mouse when I am doing close range tracking.
like for example in apex I would use wingman in claw grip and peacekeeper in claw grip but then use palm grip for R-99 and CAR
or in overwatch I would do palm grip for tracer but claw grip for soldier
yes always stretch and don't overdo the same scenario. That's why you only see me play like 3 reps of jumbo TS scenarios on a slow cm, because it's physically taxing
well I was only practising TS on a slow cm today because I wanted to improve my initial flick/switch speed. I usually practise on like 80-90cm
Guys so I have a question - is energy drinks safe? I mean caffeine in one 250ml can is equal to 1 cup of coffee
I drink at most 2 cans a day
will i be fine or my heart's gonna blow up
Why drink energy crap instead of being on a healthy diet with tea and water?
well for me it's easier to drink caffeine than plan my meals
sadly
Of course it's easier, but not healthier, is it?
I don't think planning is needed, just making sure they're good and within a similar time range
That's my opinion tho
varies from person to person
some people r perfectly fine with high caff intake, others get heart palpitations and other fairly considerable downsides
id probably be more concerned with sugar content in them, as its usually pretty high
but sugar-free stuff is an alternative
also consider that caffeine intake can have a big impact on sleep
i only drink coffee right after i wake up. anything more than an hour after waking and im not consuming caffeine. some people can be fine and dont get any inhibition of sleep or lower sleep quality, but those people are very rare
most people seem to underestimate how much caff can impact their sleep
thanks for your respond. yea, actually i only drink a bit and before midday
just was curious if energy drink stuff is actually dangerous
i mean ofc it is if you drink a lot but for me it's a substitute to coffee
in moderation its ok
don't overdo it otherwise your heart might just stop one day
I saw a video of a young person who drank like 5 monsters a day
u have to be really excessive to reach that point but not impossible
i think this is the right place to ask but sometimes when i train or play games my hands are a bit shaky (usually with higher sens) but other times its my fingertips that are "vibrating" or feeling a bit tingly
i think the shaking could be improved with more smoothness training but idk why the 2nd thing happens sometimes
just interested how significant wrist stretches before playing, is there actually a noticeable increase in consistency and performance because i’ve just started doing daily wrist stretches and wondering if i’m going to actually see genuine improvement, also wondering if it’s bests to stretch your wrists before every session or just once a day
You saw a video, I see emos drink that daily

Do you really need to wear sunscreen when you're inside all day? It depends - here's what you need to consider. Yes, one Michelle was harmed in the making of this video.
Subscribe for videos every fortnight: http://bit.ly/labmuffinyt
In this video:
- Why wear sunscreen?
- How much UV is indoors?
- Direct and diffuse UV, and estimating how much...
Is it normal for your wrist to pop/crack when using full range of motion? Or when doing circle motion stretches
watch the video
i dont know if this fits here but I have a pretty bad problem of nervousness and the feeling of stress when i hop in any kind of pvp game, which leeds to me having shaki aim quite badly. is there anything i can do to atleast temp. get rid of that, really ruins my experience playing.
playing a shit ton usually works, how many hrs do u have in a game?
Playing more until you just get used to it. Doing deep breaths with 5 second inhale and exhale for a few times. Telling yourself "it's all fine I'm just gonna do my own thing that I've set to do" . I used to have a big competitive/ranked anxiety to a point where I would be too scared to click the "queue for competitive match"
you should blink frequently
Carpal tunnel or rsi?
Hello, I tend have the issue where my palm feels in pain and uncomfortable when I do kovaaks everyday, I used a stressball to squeeze thinking it will strengthen my tendons however it was sore the day after and it probably got worse since my palm feels the uncomfortable sensation when I play now more often. I took break from kovaaks for the past week it seems like it’s getting better. Any tips to strengthen my tendons. Im very fit btw i hit the gym and play soccer and have very healthy diet. I really want to keep doing kovaaks as I’m improving all the time however the palm and carpal tunnel symptoms keep coming back when I really try grinding. I also stretch my hands all the time and keep it very relaxed grip. Everyday when I wake up my palm is sore a little bit even though I don’t do kovaaks or anything for the past few days.
Thoughts on yerba mate before valorant session?
As argentinian, is like drinking tea. Before playing, is not maria.
What could be wrong with my wrist? I cant bend my right hand all the way while having my finger extended but my left hand is extremely flexible and I’m just wondering what could be wrong with it, I was assuming it was because my right hand is my aiming hand and I guess over the years this is the cause.
i ate some kfc last night because it was my birthday. i havent slept since. lowkey scared im finna cop some permanent brain damage lmao
might even have to become a controller player
LLLFMAO
apparently its a rare reaction to msg 🤪
will be so happy when im dumb enough to int every fight with my 40% lock on
but im highkey in a lot of emotional pain. i have been awake for 36 hours and, whilst my body is tired, the longest i have managed to sleep for is 1 or 2 hours and even then, thats rare. i am losing my sense of time because i have not been able to reset and my day is now 48hrs. i was up gaming at 5:00 am this morning, but the dopamine reuptake started just 3 hours after that. the day is moving so slow. this is like those nights when its really hard to sleep and you keep getting distracted, except it doesnt end.
im right handed and even before playing the Computer Game my right hand was always less flexible like that
Does it hurt if you try and bend it more?
yeah alittle if I try to force it down more
just keep a eye oin it
i have a very similar situation but i have a cyst from playing too low sense with wrist aiming
from 6yrs ago
@open ivy @surreal orbit
^
i hope it’s nothing serious I also wrist aim with low sens but I just thought it was because I do everything with my right hand
Its not a very big thing but my eyes feel slightly strained only when aim training, is it something i need to worry about and what can i do to reduce eye strain? thanks!
it does not happen when playing games normally just to clarify
I don't think it's an easy fix, but have you tried hand therapy putty? I was having trouble with overall hand stiffness and it looks like you could have a little too. I use 4 different strength levels with these exercises once or twice every week depends how much I'm playing. The first time I used it my hand and forearm were a little sore, but it helped.
I think this is normal I have it to do your not alone
i recently got an otsu. i have developed a rash on my hand (shown in spoiler) and also on my eye. is there any chance that i’m allergic to something in it and would it be a good idea to wash the pad? i just sorta started using it out of box
also this is unrelated but while i’m here i should mention it. i went to the optometrist (i wear contacts) and he told me my eyes were strained. how can i alleviate eye strain / strengthen my eye muscles?
could just be coincidence, but yea u could be allergic to something
washing it might be a good idea
also going outside and having different distance objects to focus ur vision on is pretty important for eye health
How much break time should i take after training?
Does waking up late and sleeping late affects performance or it doesnt matter as long as you get enough sleep hours?
how do i fix my clicking shoulder? like i went today to the gym and when i tried doing some exercises like benchpress and others my shoulder would click midway exercise and it would hurt
now it hurts a bit aswell when i contract it and when i do moves similar to the exercises at the gym (with no weight, just flaring my arms in the air)
i think it might be because i slept in a bad position and the neck-shoulder section hurts a bit even when i rotate my head to look to the side, but i'm not sure about that
looks interesting I will look into it honestly I was just nervous because I was starting to think I was getting rsi/carpel tunnel
for sure, I'm not capable of telling you what's really happening or what you should be doing, but I spend like 30+ hrs a week on my PC doing whatever, I should be exercising or stretching my hands/arms to loosen all the muscle tension that builds up from having my joints bend in place for so long.
yeah I play for like 30+ a week also so I really feel like I need to start taking care of hands better cause my worry’s are getting worse the harder I grind
hello , ive noticed alot im getting tired when gaming, like my eyes feel heavy, i goto sleep at around 11:30pm and wake up everyday at 8:30am
i do kovaaks for 30 min
valo stuff for around 15min
then i play comp
ive noticed my first 3-4 matches are really good then after that i start to yawn , i cant stare at the screen, i become overall shit
any tips?
Yo I have a question about posture
When I been gaming recently I been getting cramps around this area and is kinda sore and tired (most likely due to bad posture)
I couldn't really find videos about where is that part of the body supposed to be resting they just tell you to sit straight and use the arm rest 😭
are you talking about the scapula?
or rotator cuff?
try some stretches on like a door frame, tons of different vids for those muscle groups
and if you need to check on your posture, look at the pinned messages
bet thanks
np
Any higher level aimers in here with ADHD That had issues with zoning out while focusing? I'm currently not on medication and its driving me insane
Define high level aimers @old helm
I actually feel like
Meds are not helping me
Sometimes they make me worse
I mean
When I'm playing I'm lowering my dosage
Otherwise i focus hard on random things and miss shots
My advice is to take more breaks to stay focused longer
For us it's not good to keep playing cuz u will zone out all the time
Also i don't know ur meds i think amphetamines are good for eSport
I'm on Ritalin
Yeah plat is high enough, ive only started voltaic about 3 days ago but ive gone from bronze - gold in the benchmarks, I'm getting back on Vyvanse in about a week. Ive never gamed on it so im not sure how it will go.
When i do static targets i just zone out when trying to focus and makes me miss and its driving me nuts
i find blinking helps when i start to lose focus but that also makes me lose focus xD
Maybe it's too boring for u
I don't know try to make it fun
Instead of focusing on dots try to hit it with metronome
Or in a rhythm of music
Or do more active tasks
Take quick breaks a lot
It's all about dopamine
If it will be funny and challenging instead of boring
U won't zone out that much
@prime zealot get tired during the day and have a consistent sleep schedule
morning
- view sunlight within the first 30 minutes of waking
day
- view sunlight throughout your day
- be active (mentally and physically) throughout the day to make your brain and your body tired
evening
- about 2 hours before your desired bed time stop viewing bright light (especially overhead and/or blue)
- don’t do hard or exciting things in those two hours - instead do things that calm you down (just scribbling down my thoughts and worries in a diary helps me personally to calm my mind)
night
- when it’s time to sleep keep your room dark, quiet and cool (~18* celsius)
general
- don’t do anything inside your bed other than sleeping
- don’t drink caffeine or nap after 8 hours before your desired bedtime
- try NSDR and/or meditation
- eat, exercise, go to bed and get up at regular times
That’s all I know about this topic. If you do half of those things you should notice a significant difference in your ability to fall asleep, stay asleep and get up more easily in the morning.
Tyyy
ayo im slightly sore from working out and was wondering if aim training while sore will affect aim training progression/make bad habits cause i noticed my aim/ movement while aiming felt weaker than usual for obvious reasons
i have adhd. just get used to playing off your meds. i find im a lot better off them and i can also play whenever i want without the risk of getting tilted during a dopamine reuptake
i find that the meds hold me back and i also feel like they might be considered unsportsmanlike either way
just because im beating someone and im using a stimulant regardless of whether its helping me
i usually dont play after i do but if u wanna do a full session i would wait like atleast 2 hours to do aim training
alright
How about fixing my body clock
Im sleeping at 12 and waking at 12
I wanna sleep earlier but i cant
Viewing direkt sunlight as soon after waking as possible is probably the most helpful for that. All the other tips help as well with that.
You also have to accept, that shifting your rhythm is kinda slow. Get up max 15 minutes earlier every day and go to bed earlier by the same amount.
Having a night time routine is also very important to be able to sleep earlier, but I described that already in my first comment.
I got those informations from the Huberman Lab Podcast btw, if you want to inform yourself further.
ur sleeping for 12 hours? jeez
I can’t seem to find a good position to sit at my desk. I’m constantly changing my monitor Distance and I feel like it is making me inconsistent
I’ve tried 6inches from my face and arms length can’t seem to find any thing I like
Question: I’m getting some elbow soreness and my ring finger is very sore as well. I notice when I put the armrests on and rest my elbow on it then it relieves the pain, however I feel like I don’t have any range of motion when my elbow is resting on the arm rests and my aim suffers. Any advice?
any advice how I can build endurance with and while aiming?
I do get like 7-7.5h sleep but when I aim my aim gets slower and slower with time progressing, my first flicks and tracks are juicy but then i get slower or overaim even if I know I can do better
Is this a mental or a physical thing and how I practice my endurance to keep playing on my average best level and not drop?
Guys there is tiny splinter in my skin at my finger
I tried digging it out
With my nails…
Well, after some minutes of intense digging I found out I missed it
So now I have small wound next to the small splinter…
How I get it out? Is it dangerous?
idk how deep the splinter is, but they say deep splinter can cause infection. Idk if this one is deep enough for that or if it’ll just come out
Maybe not safe to game when my finger is compromised
I honestly put tape around my finger tightly and wait it out for one night and if it doesn't pop out and onto your bed, then you should probably ask someone for help
But how I put tape around it if I have small wound there too
Then the tape goes on the small wound
😱
Pinch at the skin?
You mean dig with tweezers?
So remove skin from the top
And slowly get closer to the splinter
That is what I tried with nails… maybe tweezer work better yeah
I will tries, thank you sir wiseman ventual
np lol
On to a second wound on my finger
you guys think it actually ok to just leave it in?
as a child I think I was vaccinated against tetanus, so should be safe I guess
should i skip aim training when i'm tired or didn't sleep well or should i just train and get worse scores than my usual ones?
getting some wrist pain front aiming any advice
Are you stretching before (and perhaps even during) your sessions?
@lunar epoch i do stretch before but not during. I think it may have something to do with the angle of my arm or wrist because i have my arm angles like 45 degrees toward my keyboard but thats the way that feels natural to me
does anyone use this to warm up their hands?
do infinity cubes rlly work
if you mean having warm hands, it doesn't really do that
when I aim, I tend to press this area down into the pad. is this a potential health concern? I'm not sure whether this kind of contact is "normal" or not
Hello I've been thinking on trying out boxing but since I didn't do any sports in the past 3 years I'm not sure if this will make my body (especially arms) feel weak and affect my gaming performance (Sorry if my english is bad)
yo where can i find something that helps with wrist pain my wrist hurting like hell
Well the exercise will make your arms feel weak initially. However given regular exercise, time and recovery, your body will grow and be able to deal with the exercise
Pardon if this isn't allowed. but I'd like to add on top of this that exercising and getting healthy improves your performance immensely. It improves your reaction speed, your cognition, and obviously helps you feel better overall.
Boxing is also a great source of cardio : ) I do bag training a lot with boxing gloves and it wears me out
Ok thank you for the answers 🙂
yall recommend any good energy supplements/drinks/powders? ive been drinking monster and want to switch to a healthier option. been eyeing sneak and kill cliff but if you guys know of better id like to kno :>
Anyone here taking lutein? If so then how much are you taking?
gamer supps, gfuel, and lots of other ones, they're healthy per say but they're healthier than regular energy drinks
aight :3 tyty
does anyone have a good gym work out routine with examples that they could link or DM me?
calisthenics is a good start if you don't want to do weights
beware more wrist problems so wrist wraps recommended
Why does my index finger tingle sometimes
I've been told that having atlist 8hours of sleep helps on getting better at aiming and at the gym, i would love to fix this, but i suffer from insomnia, i don't want to take any medication or supplements since i already take enough of them, any ideas or techniques that might help? (i can only fall alseeps usually between 9am or 10am, that if i fall asleep if i don't ill just do a full night and day awake by accident).
if ur insomnia is that bad u should probably see an actual sleep specialist
chances r u have some weird hormone or brain chemical bla bla thing
that simple changes wont really address
I didn't rlly want to start some new pills since i already take too much of them everyday but if it has to be done then here we go, thank you my friend.
these new pills will replace the old pills, or at least they should
also taking a break from pills can help because you just become tolerant to them
melatonin gummies yum yum
Well actually since im bipolar i can t rlly take a break from them : (
I mean the sleep ones mostly
The ones that I used to take to help me having an actual schedule at sleeping, was a really strong one that i had to stop taking because man i was getting alotta weight
Is aimractice in the evening/ before bed worth or a bad idea?
yeah its fine
so uh, have a real bad habit of tensing up compeltely when in combat, like the whole butt clench, arm tense, fingers and hand tensed, etc. Trying to break it by like, remembering to relax constantly while playing Roblox, but it's really hard to break a habit like that. Anything else to do that'd help? Like would changing your sitting position to force yourself to adapt to a new style help or be better to just keep trying to speak the reminders?
you can try 1v1 against a friend and practice more isolated, you can even try binding space to fire or e and get a feel for being relaxed, then slowly go back, there's no particular special trick unfortunately
what causes pain around this part of the hand? is it grip?
Believe it or not, meditation can really help to calm you down making you be less likely to tense up so quickly. I do it sometimes and I can feel a positive difference.
like take a moment to just breathe and think?
That may be related to the abductor digiti quinti
meditation is like a skill, if you practise it often you can control your emotions better. its not helping you in aiming only, meditation can help you in every aspect of your life. THe mindset is super important for improvement and everything in life. Meditation is a tool to help getting a mindset which you prefer. Meditation is underestimated and can help people so much. Taking a simple breath and think about it is a perfect way to start and is sort of meditation in simple form.
What other ways of meditation would you recommend for a gamer that sits at their chair all day? Just taking headphones off and moving the chair away to practice breathing and positive thinking?
personally i meditate on my balcon or in my bed. Its an aweseome experience outside but it really doesnt matter. You can meditate everywhere. You dont even have to think positive. It is a long topic and i could not explain it to you so easily. But like you said, just do it that way you wrote. You cant do something wrong
if you wanna learn to meditate i can advise you the app Headspace, it helped me to get started

Go slow, try holding your mouse like its something fragile (like an egg). Stretch before and after training. If all else fails some days of rest can’t hurt.
Something that helped me specifically was putting a rubber band around my fingers and opening my hand to train the opposite side. Since usually that doesn’t get a lot of stimulus in day to day use
how can i train my arm and wrists for a good 30 mins kovaaks session? after 10-15 minutes my wrist and hand feel like they gonna fall off
Stop tensing. Try to keep a firm grip while keeping your arm and wrist as relaxed as you can. Doing some light stretches/hand warm ups help before training.
get wrist ball (powerball), easy and fun way to train your wrists and forearms
10 minutes a day and ur gonna have huge forearms
ty, i will check it
HEY GUYs i dont know if this is a health things or not but does anyone know why i get cold so fast ( i dont mean fever i mean like temprature ) like i would turn on the ac keep it at 24 celcius and ill get cold in 1 or 2 minutes which will make me turn it off instantly anyone has a clue on how to stop this
or is it just bcz im not used to it
what's an estimate of your body fat %?
I'm asking because higher body fat % = feeling hotter than usual
lower body % = feeling colder than usual
my body fat is around 18% to 19%
I see the right side of the tip of my nose while gaming and I cant stop anyone else got any tips that have helped them fix something like this
that is very weird
yes it sucks so much
you can see your nose while playing?
What can i do to fix my sleep schedule? I love when i wake up at 7am and just go out full of energy and there is no one outside, but instead im going to bed at 5am because i cannot sleep, which ends up with me waking up at 2pm and i feel like i just want to sleep more for some reason for days i have been trying to wake up earlier with an alarm clock but i end up just stopping it and i just keep sleeping, i dont even remember that my alarm rang sometimes
imo using an alarm to wake up early as a method to fix sleep sucks shit
cuz u just feel ass the whole like week or so
just 'start' going to bed earlier
as in do everything u normally do before bed earlier so ur actually in bed beforehand
floss, brush teeth, chores, reading etc
like half an hour earlier each night so ur more inclined to sleep early
also eating ur meals earlier works well (or dont snack before bed)
why does my right upper back hurts when I am training aim
5 minutes in and it already hurts
sometimes its not my back but my shoulder but it happens way less
i am no expert but maybe its your rotator cuff that lacks strength
actually I wouldnt be suprised
since every single part of it hurt at some point
the internet for sure has some good exercises for it 😄
anyone's elbow hurt after aim training a bit (especially in scenarios like 1w4ts or 1w6ts small)
@violet swan maybe your chair is too low in comparison to your Desk? I always use my bellybutton as reference for height
^
my chair is as high as it goes and the bottom of my ribcage is inline with the desk
@violet swan Is your Elbow below the desk?
Can i get some like rough averages of how much people play a day? cause i really don’t know if i’m playing to much and i’m also just interested
why does the top of my palm feel like its being pinched?
my arm lays decently flat across it with my elbow being about even with it for the most part
Anyone know why your forearm hurts when flicking a lot and usually only when going fast
My bicep hurts when I bend my arm; I get pretty jittery in terms of smoothness at 90 degrees; I am beginning to suspect it might have something to do with my table being either too tall or too shallow ( i need to bend my legs to arm aim properly) ... Any advice?
Anyone here ever get cold hands?
Whenever I use my mouse in Valorant or Kovaak’s both of my hands start freezing
Relaxed claw grip with little tension in the fingers
I do stretch before and during sessions...
Can someone give me like a chart or something with a list of stretches i can do for like fingers wrist arm etc?
ty brother
How cn I keep my focus up? my eyes sometimes loose track of enemys appearing on the screen and i cannot react to them as well as in the beginning of my match /play session which is not that great to start with 2-3 kills per round in the beginning but then loose many rounds due focus/reactivity of my aim
I’ve been heavily aim training lately, and my aim hand has been having a weird problem. Whenever I squeeze with my hand, the muscle between my thumb and my hand (where the stretchy skin is) gets very tight and almost locks up. Any use of it feels tense and on the verge of being painful. There is no pain but it is very uncomfortable. Any thoughts?
The tip of my finger has recently been having a tingling feeling should I be concerned?
You should be more concerned that you said recently twice
Lol
LOL sorry I was trying to not throw my first round
i play valorant so all my aiming techniques are undeveloped. i was wondering if it is normal for my wrist to feel sore when i first start aim training? and when does it usually go away
I have the same problem, maybe its because I play with finger grip
I can't thank enough for this, as soon as i did my stretching, i could do a pr on smoothbot which i was struggling alot to do i was averaging around 2700 and now i went beyond to atlist 3100
I sweat alot on my right hand, which makes my mouse slip, and i have to wipe it constantly with a cloth because it gets really hard to use it, so i get a hard time on everything because my mouse just slips from my hand
Yee most likely bad circulation
Gyming helps but if u can’t gym everyday get a grip strengthened
Helped my cold hands
also was playing today and randomly right side of wrist started hurting
Now I can’t turn my wrist without it hurting
And it’s constantly popping as well
super fucking spooked
It’s constant too whenever I move my wrist right i can feel it really strong
Fuck
How can I prevent fatigue in the arm. And carpal tunnel
Strength-Endurance training and relaxed grip for delayed fatigue. Stretching, frequent mini breaks, not playing for longer than 90min per session and stopping immediately if something hurts to prevent carpal tunnel and similar injuries.
How do I strength endurance and how do i get a good grip that still let's me play well on superlight
- Shoulder and arm exercises with difficulty levels where you can perform 20+ reps and isometric exercises (ideally train your whole body to prevent imbalances)
- Search up natural grip guide by WestProter on YouTube
Like what exercises
That’s to big of a topic to discuss on a Discord channel. I’d recommend sticking to body weight exercises as far as possible. Just look for follow along strength endurance workouts on YouTube. For aim training arms (especially forearms) and shoulders are important.
don't have your arms extended and sit straight.
move it closer 👀
Oh.. unable to get close to your desk then, or not possible due to example using arm rests? Then I guess you could do some neck and shoulder stretches.
Hmmh yeah I'd try to get used to playing without arm rest. It can also be caused if you're leaning more towards your left side than right side. Especially if you're sitting too low.
It takes time when you change something. You can try to do shoulder shrugs and leaning/tilting your head towards your shoulders as much as you can. Just do it gently and slowly. That area must be pretty tight
damn that’s my problem aswell
I’ve been sleeping at like 6-8 am for like the past month, should I stay up today and try to fix my sleeping schedule? (I’d be taking power naps throughout the day)
An all-nighter usually doesn’t help with fixing a sleep schedule. You can’t just bulk shift it a couple of hours. Your body needs time to adjust.
It’s gonna take a while and you need some self discipline, but I‘d recommend shifting your wake and bed time 15-30 minutes a day until you reach your desired bed and wake time.
To make that process easier and faster, you should:
- view at least 10 minutes of direkt sunlight in the first 30 minutes after waking
- eat and exercise at as regular times as possible relative to your sleep schedule (e.g. breakfast 2 hours after waking, dinner 8 hours after, …)
- take cold showers in the morning and warm showers in the evening
- don‘t expose yourself to bright (overhead) lights within 2 hours before bedtime
- establish a wind down routine before bed, to calm yourself and be able to sleep as soon as possible after lying down
- don’t do anything inside your bed except sleeping (if you can’t fall asleep for over 30 minutes get up and meditate or something else to calm you down)
- make sure your bedroom is cool and as dark as possible
- force yourself to get up immediately at your desired waking time and don’t take naps during the day
- if you really need a nap or some caffeine, do/drink that during the first half of the day
- don’t drink caffeine within the first 90 minutes after waking
Your sleep schedule is fucked up so badly though, that an all-nighter might actually work better, I don’t know. If you decide to try to stay up (it probably won’t hurt) all the tips I gave you should help to keep up your new schedule and kinda force your body into it…
Damn ty
sup guys, recently i have not been finding any fun in aim training, even though i loved the journey. I just don't see the point anymore. This constant thought of aim training being a big time investment with not much payoff keeps bugging me more and more, even though i do not want it. Ive been having lots of work lately and the fact that i dont have enough time to get on the grind with my aim makes me feel that i might lose it someday, lose that skill i have been building up for so long. I've been doing it for about 2 years now, but I just don't see the results i desire, maybe i just dont have the genetics for this at this point.. And to all of you guys grinding aim right now and reading this, dont let my thoughts discourage you, we are all on our own path and I want everyone here to succeed and become the aimer they desire to be.. I would really like some advice on this situation, thank you.
any hangover cures? lol
drink more alcohol
water + electrolytes and more sleep
but also drinking is just a life drain
also food if u havent ate much
ty
Do you guys think those hand squeeze exercise things would benefit us?
does running / doing cardio after a hardcore gaming session keep you energized? in my experience, once i'm done playing ~5 valorant games, i'm burnt out and sleep the entire day :[ and would like to boost my energy without using external supplements such as food, coffee, tea, etc.
not sure if I used supplements right but idc, if ykyk
heard from my mum that i "should just stay awake"
staying awake should work
@violet swan try nofap man, more energy
idk if id call these supplements, they're basic necessities, at least food, you didn't include water, so i guess have more of that?
ok well tru, (but i say supplements cuz i eat whenever i'm doing nothing, dayum no wonder i'm unhealthy)
honestly dunno how i don't pass out i actually only drink water like every other day
Idk if this is the place
But I basically put this together as a routine to sustainably push me to improve in val (as a pro player and as content), was wondering if any of you had criticisms or improvements
Bcaas are useless, cold showers aren't helpful for recovery
Any stretches for like sore wrists
is rsi developed in part due to resistance? for example, are you more likely to develop it if you wrist aim on a heavy mouse on a control pad, as opposed to a light mouse on a skypad
or is it the movement of the wrist only, independent from resistance
'repetitive strain injury'
so both
the more resistance/larger the load, the more taxing each movement becomes
but the repetitive part is still important
its not that simple
skypad (and faster pads in general) having lower kinetic friction and poorer stopping resistance means you may use more force overall
in addition to fast pads generally resulting in a bias towards a higher sens, meaning you use more wrist movement
which is often the most injury prone joint
id imagine the 'sweet spot' is just an average speed pad at like 30-40cm, though still highly variable and highly individualistic
but its usually good to allocate some more movement to the arm, as the joints are larger and can take more force and result in a more even 'spread' of stress across ur arm
as long as ur not in unga bunga 80cm dislocation territory
You can try strengthening your wrist with a low-weight dumbbell, helped me a lot - can send you exercises in DM if you want, I do a daily routine which takes a couple of minutes as I have had a wrist injury that required operation
any1 knows how to fix neck pain
What kind? What do you feel and where?
its like right here
the muscle on the left adn right
i got to add that i lean forward when i play
so i put a lot of stress on that spoit
i tried stretching but is there anything else that helps
or should i just do some practice for my neck muscles
no, obv rocket fuel injections
aim train before or after exercise?
I’ve recently started practicing micro adjustments/movements and I’ve noticed that sometimes I’ll have this weird tingly feeling in my wrist I’m not sure if this is because I’ve never practiced these things before or maybe something else
additionally sometimes when I have the feeling I’ll flick I also don’t know if that’s because I’m not comfortable with making micro movements
I use xm1r and play on 46.65 cm/360
Okay, so the average adult human head is around 5 kg - when you're leaning forward while gaming, then tilting the head just 15 degrees can increase the force on the cervical spine to around 12kg
Doing that for extended hours, throughout multiple weeks/months will wear out the muscles and cause the pain that you're feeling
What you can do to relieve it are chin-tucks for example - those helped me a lot when I had a similar issue - the idea is to move the muscles in their full range of motion as they've been in a forced position
So, you can try chin-tucks and then you can also try getting on all fours and then moving your neck completely down and then as far back as possible, you can then do the same thing sideways as well
But the main cure will be to stop leaning so much forward and/or starting to strengthen your upper back muscles/neck
gh
pullups and just gripping onto a pullup bar for as long as i could helped
Should I be using the back pads on my chair?
What are some good sleeping positions to get restful sleep? Whenever I sleep on the side, my ear is pressed into the pillow and I can hear faint buzzing or white noise type of sounds and it irritates me a lot, so are there any better sleep positions that I can do which do not involve sleeping on my back (sleep paralysis ftw)
on the back is probably the best
Any way to reduce sleep paralysis from it? I have severe sleep paralysis
yeah I have had that happen before thats rough af
I am having an issue with underperforming after I wake up, and overperforming when I force myself to stay awake for long periods of time. After sleeping ten hours its takes me five to seven hours of being awake + multiple hours of playing and aim training until I consistently perform my best. If either of these conditions are not met I just never get new high scores or perform well in game. I dont understand how I perform better after playing for 27 hours straight on my 33rd hour awake than I do after sticking to a consistent sleep schedule and waking up for a few hours, aim training, taking a break, and playing.
No matter how consistent and high quality my diet and sleep are, I can't help but notice I just do not start performing my best until I have been awake an egregious period of time. It's frustrating because on days where I am busy I often won't have enough time to play that day to be able to enter a period of when I really perform at my peak consistently.
Any advice would be helpful, for now what I am doing is aim training immediately when I first wake up instead of a few hours later.
