It's never stupid to ask for help, but it's a pretty generic question, especially since you can't always apply tips on every single killer

Let's take basic M1 killers like Trapper or Wraith, having a head start when a killer approaches is always a good idea, so called 'dead zones' (no resources like pallets or windows next to you) are always risky to do a generator in. So skipping a generator placement is always a good idea to be closer to the next pallet or window.

Looking behind yourself in chase occasionally can help to see if the killer might've taken a different route to cut you off or 'mind game' you.

Some pallets that are considered 'unsafe' are pallets you shouldn't immediately drop either, since the killer can easily force you to run around them, so try to go for stuns! (if it's not a huntress/ ranged killer..)

This ties into the last thing, 'greeding' pallets.. some killers get scared if you stand in a pallet, another circle around a loop or two is never a bad idea!

(watching yt videos like the person above mentioned also helps with understanding tile movement)

So the strength tierlist may be dramatically different at different experience levels

I would never run perks specifically designed for finding hex totems. Understand hex spawns and learn where they commonly spawn. There are plenty of videos online about common spots, or load into custom games and memorize potential spawns

And I get that you, as most comp players, pick consistancy over volatility. But those totems are pretty nasty to get rid of in most matches, since you're forced to cleans 3 perks at best to make the build unless, requiring you to at least spend a additional what? 60 to 70s not doing objectives on a average match?

Im aware of that. Things is that while yes, in the best case scenario for survivors, you will not find much value from it.

And I do agree, I'd rather consistancy too.

However, the build still offens a baseline of Instant pressure, when having just the tiniest thing not going in survivors favor, you can start a nasty snowball.

Dying spots become a hastle, communication gets more flooded, cleansing has to be at the right Spot in the right times.

The entire point of the build is to add another layer of objective. And those layer allow for more potential.

For low Power level killers I'd agree. Anything considered commonly to be A Tier and above I'd say that while survivor level still is important, someone like blight running the chill build (the previously mentioned hex vuild idk my captain called it the chill build) has too much Flexibility and Power. Even top level survivor will struggle to coordinate things well if a killer with good Macro and enough flexibilty/ movement runs the build. Exact reason why billy now got changed the way he did. Ruin Buff from 100 to 150% pushed it over the edge that in the scenario where it did work, it was too good.

so my man @orchid sparrow got bugged out the second time in the game. so the bug goes like this, he randomly gets stuck in this position, but for everyone else he was already downed, and he was running to a wall (the same animation when someone dc's), and he gets stuck like this forever. this time he was already knocked down and it was speeding while on the ground looking like he was hacking (but he died in the end, which is unlike a hacker). this time the killer thought he was hacking (prob reported my man too, as he was cursing him out at end game before we could explain). funny thing is he didnt get a dc penalty, and it ended after the end game started and everyone left. this happened before where he was running into a basement in other games and he gets stuck there. is this a known bug? we might get falsely reported and this is concerning. no this is not a wifi issue, everything else works fine, discord vc, all that. just dbd

Yes the crows have their own radius, a small one for sure so if hit directly close to them it should get them yes

Vecna 1 has 4 spells available, a hand that can block/pickup pallets, a ball that he can shoot across the map to read auras, skeletons that shoot 5 at once that do a healthstate but you can crouch under them, and flight which he can use to traverse the map quickly. each spell has a seperate cooldown
