You can disable pvp in NMS so I think that keeps it pretty mellow most of the time

Avian, note that the capital planet has very aggro sentinels in survival and perma, one of the pins gives directions to a sentinel pillar so you can disable.

How to Expand the Base Boundary

1. Open the Build Menu near the Base Computer and select a base part. Make sure you edit the correct base on the part's info panel.
2. Walk away from the Base Computer until the Build Menu changes visually (±300u). Turn on/off build mode to keep checking as you go.
3. Walk back until the menu changes back to the Build Menu (inside base boundary).
4. Aiming towards your goal, place a 'building' part in front of you (expands ±50u). Decorations may not work to expand.
5. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 until you reach your goal, or reached maximal distance.

Note: Save/Reload within the base boundary, if expansion no longer works.
* Max expansion is ±1000u away from your Base Computer in any direction.
* A maximal distance of ±2000u can be covered with the base computer dead centre.
