The NMSCord Hub has a better-than average ship scrapping experience, based on the model of ships available here and the storage augmentations they drop when A-class. Be sure to disable multiplayer from the options menu before scrapping ships in the hub to avoid problems with ship spawns and models getting switched out on you.
