Pretty sure they're fixed. There was always a base here on perma for one, and there's a pillar not far from Neo Tokyo always in the same place for me, 25 minutes walk away

@rough dawn @solemn tapir the octagonal buildings were placed using a combination of mods and glitching techniques - but the mods just accelerate the process. nothing going on there that can't be done just via glitch on any platform.

basically, by making wire points at the middle of a side and the top vertex, and running a wire between them, then you get the correct oddball angle needed to place the corner triangle.

honestly, what i found more interesting, but definitely less obvious, was the open walls between the cuboid corridors and the basic part greenhouses. that's some pretty cool stuff that most folks don't even seem to notice.

My understanding is all those modes are now merged, and only permadeath and expeditions are separate, so seeing bases shouldn't be an issue with those.
