Lots, even in Euclid which is by far the most explored galaxy. Eissentam is the second most explored. But most of the 255 galaxies in the game are basically untouched with very little explored and discovered.

How do I transfer items over to my main save now? From my understanding, I need to unlock the anomaly first?

Anomaly should be available. You summon it in like you do with your freighter. From the same menu. Look for the orb looking icon.

From there, when you land, you'll see a big cube and a vendor NPC to the right of it. In between them is a console you interact with

It says in the expedition completion window that unclaimed items will be processed into credits or nanites as appropriate. Does this mean it gives the relevant sale price in nanites for my modules? Or should I sell them before finishing the expedition for additional nanites?

• Uncharted: Have to actually discover systems (just the system, no need to land on any planet). Make sure you visited the station of the last rendezvous system, then get black hole coordinates from Polo@Space Anomaly, then go through it, then take a few warps up or down from that position at the current max range of your ship - that should take you into undiscovered areas. Alternatively, going totally offline will make all systems undiscovered.

I just did uncharted on my student's save to finish the expedition. Omg it was so hard to find undiscovered systems!

Either way, I completed the whole expedition on my main save. So he would be able to access all the rewards.

Uncharted was a lot easier for me. Not sure if that was due to me bringing a good ship along or because I did it earlier.

doing it earlier means a lot fewer people had already gone out there and discovered systems near the route

these days the way to get it done is 3-4 random warps, black hole, repeat until you get to uncharted space

or go offline and do it that way (given that time is running out)

I accidentally stumbled into the easy way to do the Uncharted milestone. Go to the anomaly , grab a mission you can’t do in the current system. The anomaly launched me around 400,000ly away. I did the mission, and changed exit system when I turned it in so it would leave me where I was. Did several jumps to new systems, then took the teleport back to the previous rendezvous point.

I was so pressed to finish. I play on geforcenow. I downloaded on my potato computer and was able to get it those 8 discoveries. Some how my game is still stuck on "offline" mode and when I got back on gfn every system has been discovered by me.

You have to start the expedition from the Space Anomaly on the main save to transfer back the items and copy the Multi Tool and starships.

Your new expedition save turns into a normal save when the expedition ends.

HG actually ended the Breach expedition early to launch Beachhead Redux on Nov 7 because N7 is a big thing in Mass Effect. Not a fan of events being ended earlier than was announced. They did announce all the redux dates for this year around that time. It should be in the pinned comments in this channel.

For example, the upcoming Titan is a redux rerun of the first expedition in 2025.

Beachhead, which just concluded, is a remix. It's a rerun of an old 2021 expedition, but the rewards were "remixed" and included other older expedition rewards in addition to the Normany frigate.

you can copy over the main save equipped ship onto the expd save for a cost of some nanites, in most expeditions. I think there's one or two exceptions where they want you to build and use a corvette within the expd itself, so no ship copying allowed

hg put out an announcement, and the rerun schedule is in the pins in here, so you can void missing any more this year, at any rate

it's becaus of nintendo, and they cost switch players the ability to do this rerun. that means new switch 2 players, who were certainly included in the target audience, got screwed solely by Nintendo bleeping around (trying to keep it family friendly in here). and that sucks. but it's not hg's fault

at a certain point patience runs out, I can't fault any switch player for being pissed off

I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly. When you go to start a new expedition, you use the terminal in the anomaly. Doing so changes that save from normal, to expedition. To have the corvette come with you, the corvette needs to be the primary ship BEFORE the expedition is started. Unless it's an expedition where the corvette is going to be built during, it should work. Right?

it doesn't change that save. it attaches a new save file to the main save

you can switch between the main and expd save at any time

you can equip whatever ship on the main save. when you go to the expd attached save, you can (after first warp) go to the anomaly terminal and spend 2800 nanites (for S class ) to copy over the main save equipped ship

so it's a little more flexible thanyou were thinking.

i.e. you don't have to choose the right ship ahead of time and etc.

Before you are about to start it, you can load cargo and techs to it and access them within the expedition.
It is important to mention that you can only access this stuff after your first warp, you cannot summon Anomaly Station as soon as you landed on the planet.

Did my first expedition, but have a question, hoping someone here can help. I thought the upgrades for base/freighter/starship/exosuit/exocraft etc that you learn during the expedition you get to keep, but they haven't unlocked for me?
Some are rewards for phases so seems silly to give you them as rewards but you lose them once the expedition ends.

I always start a new game when doing a new expedition, instead of storing tools for it... is the a common thing to do? I like the challenge of a new game before going back to my main save

expeditions are a community event, that's lost if people are playing them on their own. additionally all players go through the same rendezvous systems, earlier players putting down markers and bases for others; how would that work if one can play at any time?

the reduxes again start in a new set of systems, and each player that passes through leaves their mark by putting bases, save beacons, comm balls and so on...

Multiplayer mostly breaks expeditions...well...it breaks the game in general but it's worse with expeditions. The first thing you should do the instant you load into the expedition is turn off all multiplayer.

But the servers tend to become sluggish and weird things happen when many people are around

I'm not an expert or very advanced player but I did notice weird things when there are a lot of people around

First of all if multiplayer is on you are competing with others for resources and other stuff, like during Beeachhead redux people found crashed freighters they couldn't interact with because someone else used it before....etc. This applies to most things. The game is more prone to lag and crashing, and there are all kinds of weird bugs if you try to play in a group or if some use corvettes, etc. The game just does not sync that stuff well. Generally as a whole there are a lot more problems, bugs, and general instability if you have multiplayer on in a high traffic area like the expedition worlds when everyone else is there.

oooh, I think I noticed some of that! In or near rendezvous areas, some interactable things like maybe storage containers were empty, derelict freighter didn't let me in.... I may not be remembering 100% correctly but there was weird stuff I just easily moved on from. Can imagine it could be worse in other situations.

For the expeditions and in general really, in NMS multiplayer and single player are literally the same in the sense that I can see anything other players discovered, bases built even tho I've multiplayer disabled.

Online and offline has a whole another meaning too, for the 8 new system, you had to have your pc/console network completely disconnected.
As single player, I had to jump 6000 ly away to cross new systems during Breachhead.

The 8 systems was the absolute least problem. I did not disconnect from the internet and it was an easy 8 new systems discovered in 10 jumps. You literally just have to put some distance between you and the expedition area. Hell the Anomaly has featured bases in other galaxies...you can go there and jump...not that you need to do that. People make way too much of an issue of discovering 8 new systems...that isn't eve an issue with having multiplayer on or off...there are A LOT of issues having multiplayer on can create but that isn't multiplayer related...it's just being connected to the game servers and it's not a huge issue.

Just importing a well upgraded ship can make a difference. Even beyond warp range if your imported ship had the Atlantid drive you could just go to purple systems nobody else had access to in this expedition and that would have made discovering 8 systems even easier.

I created an expedition only save, "copied" my corvette design from the main save and yesterday, finally managed to build Stasis Devices for units.
10x gives you like 15M units, it's more than enough.

My corvette has all the warp drives less the purple system one, I'm not bothering with that.

Why not bother with installing if you have already done the missions...

No matter, titan is where purple was introduced so you will be able to install on your mission corvette... and copy back...

Note, on main save purple drive will only give up to blue (while boosting jump range) without finishing the Artemis, Atlas, Those Who Returned on your main save...

but you still get all those tastey light years with having all 8 hyperdrives and zenith reactor

Doesn't work like that. Your main save has the corvette so you won't be able to bring the same one back again until or unless you get rid of the one you have. You can build and import a different corvette but you can't have multiple of the exact same ship.

Not for the upcoming 4 redux runs, if you did them then no new rewards. The next 4 redux runs are the expeditions we had this year, namely expeditions 17-20.

I do have online off as well. I never play with others really. To me multiplayer is just an addition to a game that is more of a single player explorative adventure. Multiplayer is more of an afterthought they added because you got to have multiplayer. I think expeditions take much longer if playing with others too

Being offline entails your device not having communications with the internet

As ODS isn’t affected by multiplayer being on or off, and ODS is what handles discovered systems

The only way to disable ODS is by making your device unable to communicate with hg servers

With Beachhead I even brought with me 30x exosuit slots upgrade.

Beachhead, before I left the first planet, I had done 7 milestone that didn't even knew were milestone. Things like earn 4500 nanites or fly idk 1000u, scan plants which I do on my main save anyway, the milestones are way simpler.

Virtual servers is how nms works for multiplayer: you can prove this yourself by entering the anomaly with multiplayer on, taking a quick note of who/what is in there, them quickly leave and come back. When you come back, it'll be full of different players and ships (unless you just get insanely lucky and end up in the same instance; this is more common on perma death mode because there's far less people playing it)

Yes it's the same, although bases are synced up across all servers (not perfectly though; there's a limit on how many bases can be loaded/available at once and it only grabs the newest ones)

Not exactly the most nanite dense material but it stacks up to 9999 so it's a decent source

Alternative is teleporting to a base with curious deposits (living ball creatures that give you mold when killed, reload once you kill them to respawn them)

for future reference, fwiw: in expedition 17 original run, some players had problems getting that one done in rdv3, but were able to quickly get it done on the starter planet. kinda anecdotal, but fact is, it did work for some.

when it says "packet of seeds", it actually means that it unlocked some of the plant base parts blueprints

did you double check your build menu when at a base, and they're not available?

we dont need them for this expedition though
