You can place some items in the expedition table,( I forgot how many) the items placed in the table will be available after the expedition ends, excess items will be converted to units and nanites

And u can redeem expedition rewards from the quick silver npc
Rewards are different from the items u have placed in the table/cabinet

thats a vile spawn, dropped by a Tendril. The Vile grub you find on the Brood planets, usually dug a little under ground, and you need a hazmat glove to crush it. Lace your runners up first.

For this expedition the Hazmat Glove is a reward for clearing a Derelict, which is another milestone in I think Phase 3

Be specific, or you can't get specific help. Are you having trouble with a specific step, have you finished all the steps but don't know how to mark it complete, or do you not know where to even begin?

there's tiny rocks onthe starter planet with ferrite dust, on the darker barren patches of soil. on the lush parts there are larger rocs with crystals poking out that have ferrite dust too, just gotta go looking for them

you can't restart the epedition on a save. if you backed up your save before starting, you could restore that backup but you'll be on the same starter planet anyways

Weird, I was swimming in Ferrite but carbon was like gold dust at the start. But yeah, just grind - you'll get there, and once you hit orbit you don't have to go back.

looking for help, cause i cant figure out how to build a base on a planet, i watch a video and looks like i need to find a base computer during story, or something like that
but if i get it right, there is no main story in expedition, so, how im able to build a base?

it mightbe worth looking through the early milestones, let's say for phase 1 and 2, and see what you get

yes. You don't need to build the teleporter, that's just for leaving from there. And your ship will appear nearby so you'll be able to fly off

But you're living in the Corvette Age, baby. No one lands their ship any more 😄

Use the menu to get out of your chair and beam down, and never spend Launch Fuel again.

Actually, since you mentioned teleporting, if you teleport to your base and your Corvette is active, it will probably be positioned somewhere really inconvenient , like right through your base.

there's a resource on the starter planet (and all planets in the system) you probably don't recognize, that's because you're in a purple star system which has a new stellar metal.

the "boiling doom" planet ("giumf") has them. the worm burroughs will be visible via icons in the hud, a red diamond and a white curved worm inside it. the burrough itself is a large egg-shaped intrcate thing on delicate thin supports raised a good ways off the ground.

no because I don't know what your main save has, nor how far along in the game it is, etc. you'll have to make those decisions yourself. I can tell you if an item is trade value only or just a souvenir but beyond that it's a judgment call

if you started from an existing save, ,then anything left in your expd save inventory at the end will get translated to units/nanites that go to the main save, yes, and you'll get some screens at the end that describe this

Iam 300 u away from my corvette and my base, I open the build menu, the portable refiner thing lists: base cmoputer, portable refiner, bunch of other crap, and below it has: fossil displays and in there: quadruped fossil display, biped fossil display an da few others

that's what you should be seeing

if you get over 300 u away from corvette and your base, I assume you still don't see it? if so then you'll need to buy the part at he anomaly for salv data, the construction research station still works

they all take 25 pure ferrite to buld so they are cheap enough

Yeah it definitely seems like the change to shorten the expedition was deliberate and intentional. Some people were thinking that maybe HG made it shorter by mistake and that they intended to extend it by a week since the change was made the same day when the PS4 got the expedition so people were thinking maybe HG wanted to give extra time but like an intern clicked the wrong button or something. I would never attempt that. If HG don't allow something it's not worth touching at all. I have over 7000 hours in the game and well over 6000 of those are on my main save that I started on day one when the game launched in 2016. Cmplete fauna scans on planets. You get 250 naites for every creature scanned on that planet. Don't bother with planets that have underground creatures...those can be very difficult and time consuming to spawn.

Probably server issues...they are not uncommon, especially not is super populated systems like all the main expedition systems are by now. What do you need a player base for anyway?

The biggest thing is this expedition is in abandoned mode...so the entire universe is dead. No NPCs to be found anywhere, all space stations are abandoned. That limits you from doing a lot of things you could normally do in a non-abandoned mode. But the expeditions milestones provide everything you need.

You can also obtain the plan for any of the bone displays for 8 salvaged tech bits you can dig up from the ground on any planet on the Anomaly. So if you didn't get those plans it's not much of a problem.

The expedition will give you the parts to build a corvette and pre-packaged aqua-jets...install aqua-jets in corvette, land on water and fish from the exit ramp...you'll be protected from environment hazards and be able to fish safely.

When the milestone for hitting rendezvous 5 triggers you are at the surface of depth of overr 1000u. Get a bit away from your corvette, place the Nautilon bay and dive straight down.

You can only play it once from the main save file but you can create new saves separately to play the expedition on and there is no limit on how many times you can do that. The only limit is the expedition end timer...once that ends, that's it.

Tips on fighting the spawn of arcadia?

Spawn close to shore so you can walk around on ground, keep moving sideways in a semi circle back and forth because the small floating creatures lock on to your location and dive into you but if you move they always miss. Beyond that ignore the small spawn and focus on destroying the main boss.

If you need to find Corvette parts you only need to find a Planet or Moon with Salvageable Scrap in the resource list or trade and buy parts at the corvette terminal in space stations.

Purple star systems. You need the Atlantid drive to access them, which the expedition gives you early. If the planets say they have Quartzite when scanned from space you know you're in the right system type if you need confirmation but I mean...they are purple on the galactic map. They're not exactly hard to spot. And they all either say Dissonant or Gas Giant in the galactic map too.

afaik, the other player base icons will appear, but only when close enough. you'll notice that sometimes, when aiming at a planet and holding the pulse engine buttons, the aim reticle will slightly realign itself automatically, as if it were locking on to a specific marker.. but there's no marker shown - yet. there will be, once close enough

@cloud marten you'll find that sometimes the devs do this: a suitable planet in a different rendezvous system, possibly ahead of us still. if this milestone was mission critical, i.e was absolutely necessary to progress past phase 3, then you'd have do to it now

I never done expeditions, but I started the breach expedition the other day. It’s pretty cool. Just from the looting aspect, I regret not putting the atlas pass in the items slot before I started the mission. 😐

they will have cargo drops (not all that interesting) and atlas lore (also not all that helpful). the loot boxes in the teleporter rooms you can alread get to, those are much more helpful. things to sell that are quite valuable, the occasional warp hypercore (!) and some low level upgrades you can use or install/dismantle for components like chrom metal or wiring looms, very handy indeed

ah the rare ground, if you don't see them after a minute or so where you are, go 300 u away, wait a minute fror new things to spawn in where you are, check. repeat until you get them

if you want those you need to go to yellow, red, green, blue star systems. sometimes buried caches will drop emeril or indium, don't remember about copper/cadmium. you can sometimes get cadmium out of installed upgrades if you dismantle them

get well away from large land masses (really, well away from anyland masses if possible) and try again. if you have the fishing rig,you can cast and see how deep the ater is at a spot without going down there, move on if it's not deep enough

you can't craft them once you exit, and there's no other way to force them to spawn

they can spawn as random encounters (i think?) but those are obviously not a super reliable method

if you don't have purple systems unlocked on your main save, you might want polished stone for settlement stuff

Literally spent over an hour yesterday looking for a ruined planet, didn't realize theyre only found on purple planets. But luckily someone left a portal code on the wiki for one so now im good on polished stone

they aren't only found in purple stars. if they're more common there i haven't noticed, but they can be found in any star system

just gotta look for a planet with the descriptor "ruin" / "ruined"

also of note is that you can still visit the expedition systems after you leave, so if it's just some planetary resources you're worried about, you don't have to stay in the expedition to farm them

that page makes it sound a little more complicated than it actually is. the gist of it is that, since you can see your current coordinates with your analysis visor, you can walk around a little bit to determine which direction to go by comparing your current coords to the ones you're referencing

i'm a terrible navigator, and so i gave up on that pretty quickly

it's simple, just tedious, and i'd get bored on the way and find myself distracted and then completely off track

really wish you could see those coords somewhere before landing, that'd make it a little easier

The coordinates do show on one of the info panels in your starship as long as you are in atmosphere, usually under the name of the person who discovered the planet.

Unsure if this is what you mean, but you are able to see your current coordinates from the cockpit of your ship when flying in atmosphere

Not all cockpits are created equal, thus some you see them clearly, others they can be obscured.

not that i'm aware of, remember that 1) there's a milestone that rewards all the needed parts to build your corvette for the expedition; 2) planets with salvageable scrap are available in rendezvous systems

5 solar mirrors, 5 quantum computers, "some" chrom metal (or you can jus tmine and refine quartzite, couple of deposits should cover it), maybe a fewwarp hypercores and/or a good hyperdrive upgrade

and yeah multiplayer breaks things so don't turn that on

rendezvous 2 works for this milestone. Just find an island in the deep water and around the shallow areas are loads of crystal sulphite rocks

Probably doesn't help this time but for future reference I always find it helpful, during expeditions, to put a base computer down at each rendezvous site to make it easy to jump back and forth
