You can switch to your primary save via the pause menu, or you can finish the optional milestones, or you can click end expedition to skip the optionals and enable the transfer, then when you click end expedition again you'll be on your primary save

I guess in a way it's "easier" to farm them in your primary save, since you can do other stuff along the way. For example I am trying to hit 3 star economy blue stars while doing the main storyline, so each new system I fill up on parts if there is a salvageable scrap planet. I have tons of parts.

Oh man, in my non-expedition save I just realized you can use stairs to get on top of your corvette and summon the trade rocket (tech you can learn on the anomaly) to sell your non-corvette items that you get from salvageable scrap. That can speed things up too. Nope, doesn't work.

You also may have some luck trading for the parts you want at space stations.

I'm also thinking some parts can't be found in salvageable scrap.

I think you need to trade functionals - shields, weapons, habs, cockpits, reactors, entryways - to get functionals or it costs you hundreds of pieces.

no, to transfer inventory you would need to put it in the terminal in the Anamoly then go back to main save> take it out > return to expedition > repeat

Is docking at a Pirate station "special"? I've just tried it and the first time it didn't detect my approach so I flew into the docking tunnel manually (I've played Frontier! I know what I'm doing! Alas it does not let you land, but it does let you destroy yourself on the walls so landing seems less important than it did before!) and the second time it docked me immediately outside the station, then when I tried to take off I ended up moved into the docking tunnel facing inwards.
Just a glitch, or do they not have Corvette pads yet?

You can't claim any other ships in this particular expedition. You can put a base down next to it and hope it's there when you're done (this probably won't work for interceptors as most dissonant planets revert to non-dissonant planets when the expedition is over)

Weird... I've just finished the Derelict and went to enable multiplayer for that optional milestone. I couldn't find it. Turns out I played the whole thing on switch 2 without the switch 2 upgrade pack.
Still looked great and load times were magic.

If you started from an existing save, you can copy your ship to your primary save. If you started the expedition from the new game screen, you will just keep your corvette. In both cases you can continue to modify the corvette.

It depends on your skill level and experience in the game. I'd say 4-6 hours if you're experienced, up to 12 if you're not. It can be more than 12 hours if you're playing it slow and really casually, but that usually means you're making unnecessary bases (you need 0 bases this expedition) and overall going out of your way for things that you explicitly don't need.

Take a few mins - Have a read of the milestones and the pinned tips on this channel. Some play out sequentially where the reward for one is how you complete the next one. Some don't. The only difficult or time consuming ones are the Derelict and finding a third shield module which you may do organically anyway.

yeaaah i'm familiar with that ship- it's kinda close in the front end but its waaay bigger in the back- like theres floating thrusters on both the left and right side with glitch placed blades at the 4 corners- made it look abstract and crazy. keep an eye out if you see it, i'll genuinely give a reward to anayone who can find the guy

When going through the Expedition as a clean Save, are we limited to three rows of Tech Slots on the Corvette? By Phase 3 I have hit that limit and don't seem to be able to add a fourth row when given Ship Inventory Upgrades as rewards. Because some modules have stats and appear in the grid, it gets full very quickly

12. You can expand your corvette's tech slots by removing as many parts that cause tech modules to appear in the tech slots as you can, filling your tech slots up with any cheap tech modules, then putting all your corvette parts back on. This will expand your tech slots permanently.

You can reach the max (60) slots this way

You're on PC so you can do them offline with a workaround (link in my profile). Otherwise there's no legitimate way to do them.

options are; 1) check at each rendezvous system for a player base with 'sentinel pillar' in the name 2) dig up corvette pieces, the drop rate for those maps is pretty good from the salvage containers 3) shoot some (regular, not dissonant) sentinels, open salvaged glass, drop rate is not too good but you could be lucky and get one 4) suspicious packets "goods" from pirate stations, also a bad drop rate and expensive too 5) buried caches (low drop rate)

on the old save, go the anomaly. there's a terminal near the nexus that lets you start an exepdition from there. you can load up some slots in the terminal with resources which you'll be able to access once you get to the anomaly in the expedition (possible in the first warp). you'll be able to send stuff back once the expedition is complete at the same terminal.

you triggered the 5th star too close to the atmosphere. if you get too close to the planet it will vanish like that. unfortunately, thee range it will disappear is also where it currently exists, so it will do that if you get close enough to fly under the shields. i would recommend just leaving, if you keep trying to mess with it you will eventually end up clipped inside of it taking tons of collision damage with no escape

If you find one you like you can put down a base, but most interceptors won't exist after you're done with the expedition as most dissonant planets revert to their normal form.

This 60-second skydive is tricky. Too high and the timer doesn't start. Too low and you don't reach 60.

Just after you hit the atmosphere message jump out and jet pack down. Bring an Orbital Uplink so you can get back to the space station without needing to summon your ship.

There's a glitch where if you ride on the back of your ship engine you can stay up for 60 seconds without flying through the sky 🤣

You're still flying through the sky... But you're just hanging on ship engine and you got to keep it right in the middle. 60 seconds and you can get the challenge done 👍

During the expedition I had two bases that I farmed runaway mould. Upon completion of the expedition and conversion to a normal save, those spots were now sac venom and not runaway mould. This also happened to a friends bases. Is that expected behavior?

Honestly, this is good advice for all expeditions: run them with MP disabled.

@hard hull - make sure you're connected to online discovery services (+ then L a couple of times and X to connect) if you had the game open but in sleep. It needs to be connected to HG's servers to download whatever tiny packets tell the game to activate the Expedition. Every time you put the switch to sleep it disconnects.
Also - and this sounds obvious but I didn't notice I didn't have it till I finished the expedition! - make sure you've got the Switch 2 upgrade installed. You can play the whole expedition without it, but you won't have the Network menu on Settings so no multiplayer - and that means no optional milestone for playing Stowaway.

the voyagers update took 3-4 weeks to release on Switch / S2, so don't wait for the patch!
It's viable - if you hit bugs, you hit bugs but for the most part you turn of MP, reload a save and take it from there.
You will have a corvette very shortly after starting the expedition.

just make sure u keep ur parts u want on it install this way u can save in space when transfering things out when ending expedition

You can usually go back and forth once the expedition is complete without fully closing it out - so you can clone your corvette back to main, then go back in to the expo and strip it for parts which you send back in the Anomaly expedition computer. This would maximise how many parts you can bring back in total. You just need to have a bare minimum corvette to fly back to the anomaly in, and I've heard you can make one with just a cockpit, entry gangway and 2 wings if you strategically delete parts as you build - look for details on MicroCorvettes!

if you started from an existing save via the anomaly terminal, you'll get the units, qs and nanites transferred to your main save. if you started a new save for this, then the new save will convert to a normal mode save at the end of the expedition period and you will keep everything.

Ok, I've seen a report here of someone that just interacted with the terminal. I'm not 100% sure if that works (it shouldn't, as far as I know 😅 )
So you can try that. But if you have to fight:

• melee-boost laterally to avoid sentinel fire while you shoot them yourself
• take care of the healers first, always. Go from small to large
• after destroying one, even a small drone, shoot the barrel they drop, it will recharge your shield
• paralysis mortar is great on these fights, if you can get it

I think some earlier milestones give the scatter blaster and updates. Use that! (Better at close range)

They all get cached, so if you were online when you got to a system you'd see them when you went offline. Also, with multiplayer off you will still see base icons, you have to go totally offline to avoid them.

You have the max number of ships. You can trade one, scrap one, ir archive one on your freighter.

I think one time mine was 2100, another time it was over 7000. So I think it depends what's on it.

does anyone know how i can fix this? i've reloaded the save like 5 times and still everytime i select either the override glyphs or the memory registers it takes me to this dialogue

Then the glyph things are the answers

It doesn't matter which order you put the glyphs in, so long as you get the right answers

Game mode explained:

Expeditions are an alternate time-limited, season-like game mode with a set of challenges rewarding exclusive items that can be claimed in any and all of your saves, in any game mode account-wide.

To get past expedition rewards, you must wait for possible future expedition re-runs (see past expeditions) or possible future Twitch Drops campaigns featuring old expedition rewards (see past campaigns). You may also obtain certain rewards via other unconventional means, including ship trading or using a "service bot" in the Creative Hub Discord. U can complete expedition without taking anything. So take thing that usualy u have problems getting or will make your life easyer. Money, nanites etc

do a new load, in my opinion just to solve all your issues. (also in my opinion the easier way to learn is in a regular world, following the storyline, as he can ask you questions if he has any) thats how i got started.

Uh yeah, it's just supposed to have a hyperdrive. Starting over may be the best option. That's the first I've heard of the issue and can't even guess how you'd fix it.

On the space station in pirate systems, is there not a warp to get to your corvette? Or are you resigned to a 14 mile jog down the length of the whole landing strip?
