WHEW! That was TOO close, not doing that again. Everything appears to have finalized and transferred back okay.

But it seems that if you are a) still in the expedition, and b) a new one has not started yet, then you can finalize. I don't know if you can still complete objectives or not, not testing that theory lol.

So with the multiplayer sync stuff doing on, you don't really get a "expedition complete" screen right away when you complete all the milestones, you have to go single player to get that complete screen.

The "expedition complete" screen usually pops up the next time you login, and as the host he probably didn't notice that as he invites me via steam screen, then he just clicked "end expedition" and went back without transferring his stuff.

I think he's just upset cuz he lost his S tier fish collection and we haven't done the main quest to get into purple galaxies, that means we also lost access to those bases, and the upgrade that allows you to summon your cars at any time. And everything he wished to transfer back to main save but didn't have the chance... As he didn't know he was doing back to main save.

Oh yeah the same issue exists in nexus quests. Given that teleporting away (to a new system) during quests, after completion but before submition to Nexus, will end the quest. But in multiplayer it only says "by doing so you will leave the group" without mentioning that the quest would be aborted. Idk if this is missing in the Chinese Simplified translation or it is an issue with multiplayer in general... as the UI is probably reused without configuring.

so basically you wouldn't know if you're leaving the quest, or leaving the expedition. It would be nice to add the "you are leaving the group" confirmation after "you will leave the quest/go back to your main save" confirmation (already submitted an issue but still should be aware of)

You transfer your expedition rewards to a main save after you finish it

The only benefits to playing the expedition on an old character are in what you bring with you to the expedition.

In the case of not bringing resources, you still have glyph access early

You‘ll progress much quicker than you naturally would, which is why I personally never convert expedition saves into regular ones later on.

It makes early game discovery redunant imo, but you also have less grind.

• I couldn't get into space stations even tho I was directly in the range it was just crashing me into textures

• fighting pirates that were just twitching in flight and some didn't even take dmg they only could take dmg to their shields they were crazy chaotic unlike regular pirates and it took me 30 minutes to kill 3 pirates because of how buggy it was and them not receiving any dmg

• players corvettes were landing side ways or on top of eachother

• I was spinning with my Corvette

Those are the biggest ones that were ruining my playthrough I said hell nah and I'm not playing it for now until they fix some of these

Yes, you do the expedition and get the rewards for your main save.

However you could also convert your expedition save to a normal one, and continue on from there. But only do that if your main save doesn't have a lot of playtime
