There is a few. I would just collect away and if it's while you're doing something, it'll complete and you won't notice

I recall in Aquarius you had to catch 100 fish for one milestone, but I accidentally completed it while I was fishing for the five uncommon fish that are in cold biomes

So if it's a specific fossil or part, you might get the 80 without realizing

Could be some issues for certification. Either a game-breaking bug or crash was reported for PS4 and HG is trying to fix it. Normally, it wouldn't take this long, but this is concerning given the expedition is underway. HG should give them compensation at least.

Look for a planet or moon that has Ancient Bones as its resource type. It'll have the skull of an animal with a bone next to it.

This Expedition specificall you want to bring 125 pure ferrite a fisherman's rig a nutrient processor .... around 4-5 warp cores and about 600 tritium for the pulse engine

the rest of that stuff in the pinned comment is kinda useful but you get some of them or all of them from the milestones

and you need to farm the initial chromatic metal anyways since you can't get to the anomaly

With this part - I am finding similar fossils on all the planets I am visiting that have any - just go HAM and collect as many on any planet you visit. Stock up on many and you can trade them at the dig sites for whatever ones you really need.

You "could" theoretically salvage that save but it would require effort. 1) Get enough units to buy a cheap ship with a hyper drive. 2) Get enough navigation data to buy maps to lead you to a crashed ship with a drive you could fix and salvage.

Scottish Rod has a decent walkthrough up. Personally, I went in blind and I've been doing well. The one thing I would have brought, other than basic resources, is warp drive upgrades. The distances between the rendezvous points are far. Also, make sure to upgrade your inventory. You'll need lots of bag space.

There is isn't really a method. Once the scanner tells you there are no bones nearby, fly around for a bit and land in a different area, rinse and repeat if there are no bones nearby still

To have the Expedition Photo mission register on PS5, aside from being on the right type of planet:

• In Photo Mode
• Use the 'Share' button, depending on how you have it configured. Hold to snap a shot or single press.

Hello.... some **** has dug a really big hole under the guy you are supposed to meet at dig site 1. Dont forget folks you can build with your terrain manipulator. You may need to do this to reach him. I had to

nice, though sometimes one might find themselves under base build range of another player base, which would most of the times remove terrain manipulating permissions. another fix is to just disable multiplayer and save+reload

Carefully follow these steps

1. Interact with Expedition Terminus in the Space Anomaly.

2. Add up to 8 tech + 24 cargo items, then exit/back out of terminus interaction.
   The currently equipped Ship and Multi-Tool will be available to copy when interacting with Expedition Terminus back in the existing save.

3. Enter+exit ship to update Restore Point save slot, then pause, go to Options menu, press Return to Primary.

any planet with bones (there's always at least 1 per rendezvous system) can be used for milestone, but only toxic biome planet spawns the two types, one daytime, another night time. if on non-toxic has to be night time. min depth 50-60u. try with and without baits, if during night time can try magpulse lure.

I've had a bunch of fighter ship parts and photonix cores disappear before but that was due to using a save editor because my file was saved on top of an outlaw station. Not sure what happened this time

1. you don't need to get there to go to your freighter. simply warp to any yellow star system, and summon freighter there, if you got no other reason to get in that system except getting to your freighter

They're a mostly-separate instance. You can fold them back into your main save if you launch them from that save, and any bases you've made on the expedition will be able to be visited on your main save then. However, sometimes expedition-specific features of certain planets will NOT be there when you rejoin the main game instance. So they're... sort of connected, sort of not 😉

Repair Kit can be obtained from multiple sources (e.g. Contraband Agent npc in Outlaw stations, Mission Boards, Scrap Dealer, Autophage Synthesis terminals), and is applied to damaged sub-components.

1. Cursor over the damaged tech or slot, and press Repair
2. Cursor over the damaged sub-component and press Apply Repair Kit.

WELP. Didn't mark the location of my ship like an idiot - and I can't swap it in the Anomoly because the drive is damaged. So now I am really screwed.

chill, relax, that's fishing. lots of rng. any planet with bones (there's always at least 1 per rendezvous system) can be used for milestone, but only toxic biome planet spawns the two types, one daytime, another night time. if on non-toxic has to be night time. min depth 50-60u. try with and without baits, if during night time can try magpulse lure.

save+reload on a planet, then quick menu/summon/other ship - it will work, failsafe
