Hardest milestone in the expedition is catching a bonefish...there are only two in the game: one is any biome, B class, large, nocturnal and the other one is toxic biome, S class, large...so one is the highest rarity and the other is nocturnal...pick your poison. Now the expedition DOES give you 40 Bionic Lures, which are made for catching legendary fish...but 40 is not a lot. So what I did was I went to a toxic planet with oceans(2nd rendezvous system), found a spot close enough to 55u depth and dug out the bottom of the ocean a bit more to push the depth to the sweetspot of 55-70u depth for large fish and started fishing. Looking at the holograms you can tell which fish will bite and what size it will be before the lure is taken so I did not allow anything but large fish to bite and I was lucky to catch the legendary as my lures were running out...but if I hadn't caught the bonefish before running out of Bionic lures I would have reloaded the restore point and continued fishing with those same bionic lures again.

You shouldn't use bionic lures if you are going for the nocturnal any biome because it is only B class and Bionic lures increase chance of A and S which works against your odds of catching the one you want. You can use nocturnal lures but you have to craft them yourself, game doesn't give you any.

Again, that's unreliable luck. I am just pointing out useful tips that work and people can use. Toxic biome is the best for the milestone anyway because fishing for the large you have a chance at catshing both possible ones...bionic lures during the day and either no lure or nocturnal lure at night.

Waterworld makes it easy to find depth but you can only fish at night...if it's not night you are wasting your time. Toxic is objectively the best because you can always fish and you have a chance at not one but TWO different bonefish, and you can dig out the bottom if you need extra depth. You got lucky and think that ocean is the best...it's not, you just got lucky.

And I am saying what biome is objectively the best. RNG and odds do not change just because you move planet. You have the same odds to get lucky on toxic as you do on ocean biome. Toxic biome, 55-70u depth, is objectively the best for this milestone because there are two bonefish you can catch, and you can fish during the day.

there are stack limits, but it's actually double the inventory stack (for example, you can only have 40 wiring looms in your inventory, but 80 can be placed into the terminal) or 9999, whichever comes first (raw materials are typically the latter)

To have the Expedition Photo mission register on PS5, aside from being on the right type of planet:

• In Photo Mode
• Use the 'Share' button, depending on how you have it configured. Hold to snap a shot or single press.
• If configured to single press for a screenshot and hold to get the screenshot menu. You need to be in that menu to use the middle option to snap a shot. otherwise it won't register.

I am just testing the camera milestone again and I really think it's a mess on console I took another 15 pictures and I am using the same method to pop it in my other save and it's doing the same thing by not popping maybe it's bugged for console but it shouldn't take over 15 pictures to pop cause that's dumb edit it took another 15 to pop I feel like their is something wrong with the way console camera is because I shouldn't have to spend 5 minutes taking pictures to get one milestone

#nms-expedition message has a pretty large list.
Adding that many Warp Hypercores when you want to copy ship and multitool kinda seems a bit excessive. I don't think I've actually used up a full tank in my copied ship after I got to the Anomaly. And with the auto-recharging Launch Thrusters I don't really need Starship Launch Fuel either. It's quite likely that bringing Suspicious Arms or such would let you have more nanites per slot in the expedition terminal.

Pin the milestone and use binoculars, it will find them for you really easy. Only the small gray boxes that open for a few nanites count...the other buried stuff doesn't.
