Oh, sorry about that. For Crush zone I landed on the 2nd Rendezvous planet and noticed a darker area in the water from looking at the planet on the Discoveries Tab. I flew to that location, landed, and summoned my Nautilon. As I decended I noticed the terrain still had an angle to it so I followed that until I was deep enough. If you are running out of fuel, setup a Base Computer somewhere and go purchase some Humboldt drive upgrades. Then you can teleport back and pick up where you left off.

You can check the Teleporter in the Space Station to see if any sunken freighter base shows up or you can wait until Rendezvous 5 to complete it.

As far as I know, the planet called Ipto XIV in the Rendezvous 5 system should work with the scanner.

Make sure you have the proper scanner installed in the Nautilon and then scan for the freighters from the Quick Menu.

Find one of these Save & Chart stations and rename it. There are hundreds if not thousands per planet.

You can fly low and slow hitting your ships scanner until you see the building Icon show up. Fly near it and see if it has one of these save points.

If you started from a Primary Save via the terminal in the Anomaly, your Discoveries Tab will have all of the planets where you scanned all fauna in your primary save. You can just access that list and locate the ones where you scanned all Fauna and claim them a second time in the Expedition.

There's a list of systems and planets in the Pins. #nms-expedition message You can use that to try to locate a Rendezvous system. You can also go to any Space Station and look in the Teleporter to see if you can find a base named 'Rendezvous' or 'Titan' or 'Exp17' something of that sort. Be sure to hop in and out of your ship in the space station to create a Restore Point before you teleport. That way if things don't work out you can just load the Restore Point and try another base.

i actually joined my friend on his expedition, not from my main. in join friend menu. i completed the expedition but now that i think of it i dont think i have the anomaly unlocked but either way im stuck on a planet on my main, i don't think planet im on has the resources i need. to progress the campaign to unlock the anomaly so i can receive my expedition rewards. thanks!

I just left the gas giant in the starter system but didn't get any, crystallised helium or activated quartzite. It was pretty rough on there. Will these two minerals be available on another planet in the expedition that's not so rough?

In fairness, if you could play any expedition any time you wanted you wouldn't have these huge communal experiences every couple of months, which are far more of a draw than running through an intergalactic shopping list by yourself with no one to share it with.

If you're really hankering for an expedition, pick a random cake, go buy the ingredients, pretend sugar is ferrite dust and flour is carbon and the chilled aisle will kill you if you don't get out of it in 2m or less and the checkout girl is a sentient jellyfish and when you get back to the carpark at the end, boost the fanciest car you can see as your completion reward, and drive away humming the victory music. It's the same feeling!

Rendezvous 3 is still rough, mind, but you'll have an exocraft with shielding to hide in. Btw, there are big caves on the starter planet for getting around safely, and the water is safe too. Don't weather it on the surface if you don't have to

I am terrified that by the time they fix the expedition bug, there will be so many bases on the planets that the expedition will be bugged for another reason.

They're not, but you dig up to it, or get as close as you can then burrow into it so you're protected while mining, saving the "roof" for last.

I'm in expedition with main save and I completed the quest before starting so I could enter purple systems. When I complete this I would like to use another save, but I never completed the quest with that save. Can I still access the gas giants/purple systems? Will that save eventually need to complete the quest once I've completed the expedition with it?

Maybe if you are still there, hop in and out of ship to create restore point. Then disable Multiplayer and quit the game. Maybe it will register when you log back in.

technically probably a good double 8 mold farm in the same system on different planets, hop from one to another

but not cheating, hopping solar systems on the outer part of a galaxy with a system scanner to scan all the planets

for first discoveries

If you mean in this expedition, I remember selling most of the upgrade modules they gave me. Otherwise I usually make the nanites I need from killing Sentinels (and selling most of the modules I get from the glass). It's a lot easier if you actually remove the extra boltcaster upgrades they give you and just put the main boltcaster weapon in a supercharged slot. You'll be able to melt the Sentinels in the first system.

It's the same then like if you want to get the ship from your main save

Just finish the expedition, make sure before that, that your main weapon and ship which you want to get transfered is equipped on your expedition character.

Then after finishing the expedition, you will be back into your main save, go to the terminal and you can copy your ship and multitool
(just the current equipped ones, so if you want 3 or 4 different models, can't do)

Hold everything!!

If you started from an Existing save at the end you can load and transfer items back via the terminal multiple times. Load Terminal> Save> Options Menu 'Return to primary save'> Unload terminal, copy Ship/Multi-tool> Save> Visit Terminal 'Resume Expedition'> Load Terminal> Change Active Ship/Multi-tool> Save> 'Return to primary save' (Repeat as needed).

There are 5 of them and I'm stuck at 4/5, because I can't seem to get to/navigate to the 5th. Constantly looping around the other 4 planets/moons... Yesterday I wasted 2000 trit on flying around... And still failed to locate that 5th planet/moon.

They're also fun against-the-(generous)-clock events that introduce new features or game concepts. Here you get to experience gas giants long before you would in the regular plot.

In terms of why you'd keep playing - because you can be a filthy pirate and no one will remember when the expedition ends!

there's been many expeditions, and some are worth starting a expedition character from new save, because of the things the character will keep after finish and conversion to normal mode save. for example, normal saves converted from exp17 saves get to keep the ability to see purple star systems (recently added content) without actually having to complete the quest that normally would unlock said systems

On a gas giant, check your visor for crystal sulfide. Search around the general area and you should find a small fishing hole. If not, terrain manipulate yourself one.

Load Terminal> Save> Options Menu 'Return to primary save'> Unload terminal, copy Ship/Multi-tool> Save> Visit Terminal 'Resume Expedition'> Load Terminal> Change Active Ship/Multi-tool> Save> 'Return to primary save' (Repeat as needed).

As long as you don't click on 'End Expedition' you should be good.

the system with rendezvous 3 has a deep ocean planet, you can find sea glass there

note: it is uncharted, so it wont work for the sunken freighter milestone; you can restart the game to apply a "fix" hg issued that forces them to spawn or find any planet with water in a charted system (yellow stars are always charted) and scan there

I seemed to have been caught in tornado in the first 5 minutes of the expedition - each time while I was walking towards storm crystals 😉 (I completed this expedition already on another save - same experience there. Doing it on my Abandoned Universe save now, in order to get the Aqua Jets, as that's the only way to obtain them - complete expedition -> go to anomaly terminal -> uninstall the aqua jets form exp ship, put them in the terminal to transfer to main save :> ))

it's possible to successfully scan for sunken freighters on Adtow (Rendezvous 2 planet), but you must save on that planet and relaunch the game completely for the fix to apply.

Except there's a bug that prevents other saves from unlocking the helms if the corresponding title was already obtained elsewhere.

I think they're supposed to be account wide unlocks, but it's not working for some reason. My squid helm and the Gek bobber are still locked for me as I had to load a restore save after I got the title.

I highly recommend just sticking to getting the fishing titles and helms on the primary save you use until they fix it.

You can go to the Discoveries Tab and scroll through the list until you find Haporin. Use the option to set a waypoint and then in the Galaxy map scroll through the options for Custom Waypoint. That should draw a line to get you there.

Pretty sure I did these on one of the Moons in the first system called Euge. Land on any planet/moon that has Ancient Bones in the description when viewed from space or on the Discoveries Tab. Then you can use your visor to spot the yellow symbols that look similar to the ones for Salvaged Data. I didn't even have the mission active because the tracker on that one is annoying to me. I'd rather spot them myself... Lol

Storm Crystals can be obtained from extreme hazard planets. Extreme hazard planets have Activated <Stellar Metal> (e.g. Activated Copper) in their resource list.

Exception: Lush biome planets (Star Bulb on resource list) do not spawn Storm Crystals.

Land, and start looking for the nearest Storm Crystal spawn. They will be scattered across the landscape.

Storm Crystals can only be interacted with and harvested during an extreme storm, but are easy to spot, and the on foot visor can assist as well.

if you restart the game on adtow a fix will be applied that forces sunken freighters to spawn (the reason they dont is because the planet is in an uncharted system, theyre not meant to). if for some reason that doesnt work though or you dont want to restart you could go to a yellow star with water, that will always be charted so yeah just land on a planet with water there and scan with nautilon

The trick is to not want the tornado to get you. Run about 800u away from your ship with your pockets full of valuables you can't afford to lose, wait for your environmental protection to get low and then try to make it back to the ship in one piece. Guarantee the bugger will come to you!

The phase rewards can be claim through the quicksilver merchant at the Anomaly for all saves on the account.

However, non-phase reward items and resources can't be transfered if you started the expedition on a fresh save.

So, I started a game for a couple hours and then figured out what the expedition was. I started a new save for the expedition. So the non phase reward items would not be able to transfer to the other save? And I take it my freighter and ship on expedition save stay there too?

That's one thing I don't understand when people are trying to fix a potential bug. They reload the save and it persists, but it easily clears when you fully restart the game.

That is a decent size for a hotfix with this magnitude. I can't recall the last hotfix where they fixed more than 200 bugs at once. Probably since Endurance in 2022 where they released patch after patch before the Switch version because there were so many bugs.

The only way that is fast is to use your ship in first-person and just fly around until you're close to the spot (the coordinates are on the left side iirc), but what I did was dig straight down to 1001u using the Terrain Manipulator or Dredging Laser (from the Hazard Pay milestone).

Yes, that's correct. Transferring non phase reward items, units, nanties, QS, etc is a perk exclusive to the expedition terminal.

Just finished the expedition but unable to bring back Quartzite, Crystallized Helium, Methane, or Lithium to my main save. Is that just because I haven't been to a purple system yet/progressed the purple systems mission on my main save?

Those are just blocked from transferring period in this expedition. I have access to purple systems on my main and I couldn't take them back either.

And yes, it's likely blocked because purple systems are endgame content.

I need some help phase two of the titan expedition when it comes to the food bit

Find some heptaloid wheat and wild yeast. Pin that phase milestone to the log and focus on that. It will give you help. Then put the wheat in your nutrient processor to make dough and combine the dough and yeast to make bread. And voila.

I just don't know how to get yeast that's a bit I'm finding difficult and also I need a resources for the appropriate system drive

Have the mission selected in the Log. Cycle tips with H to see the ingredients and how to get and craft them in the bottom right. Make yeast from faecium.

Get faecium from damaged machinery, feeding animals, or refining (nutrient processor) mordite (from killing animals).
