they're only marked when you're doing the milestone to reach them - need to basically either remember, or drop and claim a base comp/look at station teleporter for rendezvous stations, if they exist. we also make a pinned post for every expedition that shows data about expedition relevant systems, here #nms-expedition message

i normally just focus on finding carbon crystals on whatever planets with land i go through

well, if you're doing the reach rendezvous milestones per phase in order, then there shouldnt be any major issues following along the expedition route and seeing the next rendezvous system/milestone icon (the yellow one); ofc, upgrading your hyperdrive range will help quite a bit

I always take tainted metal into the expeditions (for as long as we’ve had the option), because it gives me the opportunity to use my main ship and multi tool, means combats a little easier I have a warp range of over 2000 light years and large storage on ship.

You have to find giant rocks that are swirling around in a vortex-like manner, they also have these white whisps. Just be careful, some of these tornadoes show no-mercy and might kill you.

The only thing that bums me out, is I built a base on a gorgeous planet that was purple grass, floating bubbles everywhere, it looks super tropical and no storms, but after the big update, my planet had changed.
The bubbles were replaced with dust and there’s crazy storms and it’s not as pretty anymore. 🥺

disable multiplayer, save on that planet i.e. enter and exit ship, then close game completely, relaunch and load save again. try again nautilon's quick menu/scan/crashed freighters. it should work this time. (some players reported requiring restarting game one last time after being there to actually apply the 5.57 patch fix.)

Fixed an issue that prevented an underwater crashed freighter from spawning at the second rendezvous point in the Titan expedition.

there will be lightning strikes in the middle of it too, and they chase the player (this is where having multiplayer enabled might be causing issues)

Assuming it was your active ship at the end, you can copy it at the terminal. If it wasn't and you clicked "Finish Expedition" in the terminal it's more or less lost. 'Course if you know the planet you got the sentinel ship you can go get another.

You always have to play the first expedition system with no help. Once you warp the first time, you can call the Anomaly and get your stuff.

Warped out to the 2nd system, then came back without calling the Anomaly because I didn't finish the 1st leg. Still going to all the gas giant moons.

I WAS able to get all 7 storm crystals on the starter planet, though. 🙂

Does the starting planet have 5 moons for Children of Giants? I could only find 4 in total to land on.
Thankfully it hasn't been buggy for me. But after the 4th moon I began the warps to the first rendezvous and looked for another gas giant moon to land on, on the way. But no luck yet.

@warm gyro you got options; either what turke1034 said, but you'll need a 2 input slot refiner at least; or, teleport back to rdv1 or rdv3 from any station, then open discoveries list, find Haporin system, cursor over it, waypoint it, then open galaxy map, warp to marked system, pulse drive to Adtow: not all areas are deep enough;

Crush Zone: Can be done in Adtow (Rendezvous 2 Planet), especially if you already installed Aqua Jets. Will want to have Nautilon exocraft for this one. Example coordinates of a spot deep enough: +4.44, -69.93

coordinates can be seen in ship first person view or when driving an exocraft lower left of the HUD; let me know if you need assistance with that. alternatively, you could probably find bases in that system using a base teleporter or just by looking at other player markers that will say "crush zone" or "1000u deep"

you don't need to use the pathline layed before you to warp to a system, if that system is within hyperdrive range

it wouldnt let me lock on Haporin in any map for no fuel?
we use the same ammount of fuel, whether it is to do a 100LY warp, or 1000LY warp

Ok, I open galaxy map and say Expidetion rathewr that free, or other cohoice. I cursor down to choose harporin. It highlights every system all around Haporin, and I could bom warp to any one of them. I could not highlight Haporin to click it and warp to it. I had fuel, but warped two times to see. I warped fine all around haporin. After 2 warp I tried and it would let me warp to hsporin now, I had just used up fuel in 2 warpd. Added fuel, warped to Haporin fine.

They're ultimately a subjective experience, but if you want my take - start the Expedition from your main save. That way, if push comes to shove, you can bring in some extra supplies and, if necessary, your multi-tool and ship. Other than that though? Just take the Expedition as it comes. Roll with it. Take it at your pace, don't let anything rush you.

I like to think of Expeditions as a conversation with Hello Games - they're offering me a new way to see their creation, a new challenge, a new way to play it, if only for a while

So I listen, by doing the Expedition. And then I just go from there.

IS that one of the starter system's moons? It's a real pain - I found the planet info popouts weren't appearing until I'd over-committed to a distant sphere only to find I'd been there already. That one was the 2nd one I found though, it was quite close to the one beginning with E. Euge? And almost every time I went towards a moon that was the wrong moon it ended up being Euge.
You can try to fly around 1 axis of the gas giant, and then turn 90 degrees and fly around the other - i.e. fly along the equator, then along the meridian?

Just made my first jump, arrive in-system and the first planet I see is called "You're doing great!" - well played, Typhus_Dragon! 😄

just goto rdv4 or rdv5 station and see if there's a s-class module on the multitool upgrade vendor; once you get another one, you first enter+exit ship to update restore point slot, then install the module, and check its rolled stats. if it didnt yet again roll +% fauna, reload restore point in the options tab. then store any tech or module and then install the same stored tech/module again, then install the s-class module and check stats

Even if you join a friend the game should show a list of active saves instead of the game mode selection screen. It’s as if your 16 hours save is deleted or the game cannot access the save file.

Use the camera tool in the quick bar, X on steam. Take your photo and you get the shutter click noise and the screen freezes to show your composed photo. If you back out, it will not count for photo missions, you need to choose the "save screenshot" option

The Scanner might need to work a few times before it gets a Sunken Freighter, be sure to use the one installed on the Nautilon. As for fishing, you need the Fishing Rig installed, you get the blueprint from one of the milestones.

Keep in mind that players play on different platforms, so the method of taking screenshots for the milestone to register as completed can vary from person-to-person. I'm on PS5 for example and the best way for me to do it is to hit the Share button and take the screenshot when the menu is pulled up.

Has anyone encountered this issue for Exp 17? I've completed all phases, collected all rewards including the ship, but it didn't trigger the button to show up to complete the expedition. The ship cost 1400 nanites to collect, which I've not seen before I don't think. It is on the landing pad in the Anomaly and I can use it normally.

However, it is still waiting for me to collect it on the Expedition page, again for 1400 nanites. I have that much available, but already burned the first 1400 to collect the reward the first time. I have double and triple checked all other rewards are collected. Game files verified, switched back and forth between main save and expedition, quit the game and come back in. I have logged a ticket with HG two days ago, hoping they can sort this out before the expedition ends.

Make sure all items in the terminal have been collected to fully complete the expedition. This will go for when Expedition 18 begins in April, as you can't start the new expedition until all items from the terminal are collected.
