Select base milestone, you have to place some specific things (I think it was 3 wooden floors, 7 wooden walls, 1 normal wooden door and 3 normal roofs (the curved ones))

If you go to one of the main expedition systems (fully expored ones) you should be able to see if there are Natural Burial Sites on planets from discoveries menu

Not sure if it is the same, but I noticed that update 5.57 was uploaded and installed onto my PS4 yesterday. Well, now all the water stuff is screwed up. Specifically, anytime I dive, every few seconds, the game is constantly bumping my character up. And there seems to be a boundary point that once I get to a certain depth, it just immediately puts me back on land a bit of a distance away from where I was?

This has made it really difficult to explore anything under water due to it always doing this. Anyone else reported this or experiencing this issue?

As long as the repair kits are in your inventory, go through the process of repairing the item like you normally would if you had the resources. Because you have the repair kit, when you highlight the one you don't have the resource for there's another option you can choose. Choose use repair kit.

If you can get to a space station, you can teleport to a system with the resources you need. If the pirate system won't let you teleport out, call the anomaly and use the teleporter (top left room) to teleport a space station outside the pirate system.

there's only 1 sentinel ship design per suitable system, so if you really want that ship, simply make sure to at least visit the station of this system, and note down its name, so that you can return later to get it

Inverted Mirrors are only found on Dissonant Planets. You might have to look around first before finding one, cause they are scattered around the planet, some further than others.

They're found underwater. Once you have gotten underwater, you will be able to see them in the Analysis Scanner, along with the other underwater products.

They'll look like volcanic vents when you're close to one.

This was my first time playing an expedition. Went in without transferring anything which was frustrating at first but rewarding once I got going. I have not messed with water very much in NMS so when I attempted to dive down to the bottom of an ocean world, I tried it without the submarine. Died twice and lost all my character's inventory.

Started collecting again and got on track only to not have anything needed for the atlantid drive. Found a dissonant world to harvest corrupted sentinels, went back to the starting system to get more of those plants for lubricant and then built a red, green, and blue drive (forget what they're called) to install the atlantid drive.

So it was at time very frustrating but in the end ultimately rewarding. Next time I do an expedition I'll wait until there are guides for what to bring with me.

The best (and most rewarding) way I’ve found to make names is to kill tons of sentinels and extract sentinel mods the salvaged glass to sell them. So much more fun than waiting for a refiner or nutrient processor. I broke down 30 or so and I needed up with about 14 sentinel mods. Sold them for about 7000 nanites.

I’ve got a question.. I completed the expedition on a brand new save and I am able to travel to purple systems even tho I didn’t complete the mission for it.

My friend, who completed the expedition on an existing save.. and he brought back the purple systems hyperdrive (atlantid?) to his primary save, can’t travel to purple systems (also hasn’t done the missions).

Is this intentional? Seems odd to me 🤔.

if you had two different saves, research done in one wouldn't be unlocked account wide

I actually got caught up in the Tornado during the opening intro sequence. It was strange because I ended up between large rocks and thought I was stuck in the geometry of the game at first. But I was able to get out. I didn't think I had gotten the milestone becuase it didn't say I had. But when I checked my expedition status right after, it was showing to collect the reward for that one.

So it was the easiest one for me to get since I didn't even have to do anything and it just happened before I could even start playing.

They give you a living ship called "The Wraith" at the end of this one, my first save took me close to 200 hours to get a living ship, so that alone was well worth it, plus they give you a staff too, I recomend starting it on a new save as it sets you up pretty well

Oh, you will love it - it's beautiful and getting it added a whole new dimension to my game I had not explored - the living ships and frigates. Now i have a living frigate to send out for upgrades to the Wraith and learning a ton of new things - but i'm a newer player. Just started with the Aquarius expedition so lots to discover

When you start the exp on the anomaly you can take a limited amount of tech modules and a larger amout of resources by placing them i the terminal. Plenty of advice in this thread on what to bring. Just have the multi-tool and ship you want to reclaim once in the expedition and you do not lose anything. They are just copies

I would suggest bringing anything you can turn into nanites along - runaway mold, pirate tech packets, the metal from derelict freighter runs, etc. You will need them to claim your ship and multitool & import into the expedition

finishing the expedition will prompt you to put your items in a machine close to the quicksilver merchant where you can find them in storage in your main save file

so if you find any valuable items/ tech make sure you bring it with you! you can even make a copy of your multi tool or ship if you likeit so much

tho you will need to pay a sum of nanites to "print" a copy of that tool/ship

the item tranfure machine didnt always exist, before that everyone had to swallow their sadness and say goodbye to their items (assuming they dont plan on turning that save file into a normal save file)

starting the expedition from your main save also allows you to use the same machine to send a cache of materials to the expedition to help boost you, for example i will be def putting the new warp drive in there as im sure ill need it

best things to take on expeditions imo are jetpack upgrades, basic materials, and a couple stacks of runaway mold to refine into nanites so you can more quickly get your own multitool and ship in

No idea about crossplay but right now it plays well as long as you don't mind being lonely. No multiplayer, no big settlements, and the water ain't fancy. But otherwise it's the full game, 256 galaxies in your pocket. Being on switch, you are constantly disconnected from discovery service because you keep putting the console to sleep but that's hardly a game breaker. It can take a while for local cosmetic flora to pop-in. But you get used to it.

To anyone starting Titan, I have found a very useful base (NOT MINE.), that i recommend you all visit:

The name is "TBB (crazy dave's) A Toybox for Titans)"
The owners ingame name is "The Basement Berean"
It is on "New Aftesi", aka the gas giant you spawn on in "Skatae", the starting system
It features 2 landing pads, 4 biodomes with multiple plants including over 800 gamma root, and a mineral extractor collecting Activated Quartzite
It also has a geobay for the Minotaur, allowing you to complete "Bottled Lightning" very easily,and the Colossus, allowing you to complete the milestone "Wheels of Titan", for free!

I recommend anyone starting out comes here once their ship is repaired, and thank you to whoever built this base!

Finding the crashed freighter on world 4 was much less tedious than the base quest in the main game for setting up the sub

With the 5.57 patch, it's possible to successfully scan for sunken freighters in Adtow (Rendezvous 2 planet), but save+relaunching game completely is required for the fix to apply.

I don’t have them anymore (after completing, nor did I have them before joining the expedition)

That was one of the issues.
Another one was the flickering of mission guidance.
The update didn’t solve that either.

Machine is pretty old but I managed to play NMS at 640x350 without a dedicated GPU in the past without any crashes.

This machine here has a 1080 but lacks an SSD. It stutters right before crashing.

No, when I claim the final reward ship, it wants me to pay nanites to claim the ship, while I'm still in the expedition

quick question.. im newer to NMS and brand new to expeditions. with that being said, can i use the method of destroying dissonance resanators to get sentinal ships still? ive taken out like 15 of them and only have obtained the mirror things. i would appreciate any input as i hate this shit we start with.

i haven't tried this, and i already unlocked the ship started from new save. that said, i could undo that unlock and test this for you, but i dont have any exp17 characters atm. to my knowledge, the safest way to do this is to claim the final badge reward, then claim the ship, paying the nanites for it. this, at the very least, will ensure that the ship is unlocked account wide. that's all you need - the ship unlocked account wide. your expedition character, regardless of how it was started (from new, or from existing), still counts as a different save, and we can claim account wide unlocks once per save, in any save, present or future, under the same account.

basically, you'll see something like this in your primary save too.
