Hello, I'm stuck. I was about to teleport into to phase 3 portal for thr current expedition. But my ship has mysteriously gone out of range with all of my gold to drink a potion at the portal. It is unable to be summoned at outposts with the ship summon things, as it says it is out of range. I've used two navigation datas already. Same issue.I am stuck on this God forsaken Blizzard planet without my gold.

I've been running around the last two hours without being able to get hold of my ship. I'm frustrated.....

**Why can't I land on this derelict? **
There are two different derelict freighter events in the game.

Not Boardable, if the derelict...
• is broken into large pieces, like the lower freighter model in this image
• has no landing pads by the bridge
• has shootable cargo pods nearby (it may not)

If there are nearby cargo pods, you may shoot them for materials, which it will trigger pirates.

Boardable, if the derelict...
• is not broken into major pieces
• has four landing pads located by the bridge
• looks like the top freighter model in this image (colors vary)

You may find it just by pulsing on rare occasions. But if you activate an Emergency Signal Scanner (ESS) in your inventory, you'll ensure one spawns. Once it's detected (see example), exit pulse, land and loot. Be ready with life support recharges, cold protection recharges, and ammo for your weapon of choice.

If you had it as your active ship at the end of the expedition you can go to the Terminal and copy it back for a sum of Nanites. If you didn't, go to the Quicksilver vendor and claim that copy if you want it right away. Do note, you can only claim it once per save from the Quicksilver vendor. Also note, when you start any Expedition it's considered a different save.

Ah i figured it out, I tried making the elixirs in advance, but it wanted me to make the elixir of blood again, i did, and then it allowed me to offer the blood. Instead it was a giant panel of glyphs, asking for different materials to charge it up.

press quick scan to mark an asteroid with tritium, should work, there's always some asteroids around if you pulse boost for a bit in any direction. if you already have personal refiner from phase 2 fear the sun milestone, you could also refine gold to pyrite

there's always asteroid fields around, one way or another the game wont let the player flying in space too long without finding any. (remember that we can complete many milestones out of order, even if they're from diff phases ahead. fear the sun just requires you to delete terrain with terrain manipulator, so that's an easy milestone to do early on/on start, to get personal refiner prebuilt

no, pyrite doesn't drop from asteroids; but gold does, and if you had personal refiner installed already, you could refine gold to pyrite. keep flying around some more and looking for any asteroid you might see, remember to keep quick scanning - it will only mark tritium asteroids, with a teal marker

Shutting down the computer and turning it on the following day doesn't seem to make a difference, verifying the files doesn't do anything. The specs on this computer should allow me to play, but certain features aren't available. Last night it was the optic sensors, as in I couldn't see anything except inventory and menus. No walking around the station and interacting with objects, blindness is a pretty severe barrier to that.

And when I can see, I can't fight pirate ships attacking freighters, the ships can hide inside the very freighter they're fighting. I can't use refiners on my freighter, they crash the game. Using space station portals to go between stations causes an eternal hang. My multitool scanner sometimes requires me to jump up and down, open and close my inventory, and a number of other things before I can scan an object right in front of me. Who thought these things were a good idea in a game?

I don't have a screenshot. But they were fairly ordinary plant looking things with leaves like you see on a lot of worlds. You can use the mining laser on them to get carbon. The names had an initial followed by a name, which is normally done for some kind of lifeform. Like if they'd been named L. Canadensis or H. Sapiens.

Which made me suspect I'd find them under flora.

I think I softlocked the expedition. I got to the mission in pgase 4 where you salvage tainted material. I did the ship and only got 300, when i went to go sell the data I was not given any more material. I went out of my way to get enough units to buy another radar, but now it wont let me buy it. Anyone who starts now should be able to finish it if you focus on getting through the milestones (and look ahead for some milestones you can finish earlier than the phase it "belongs" to).
I think I spent about 4-5 hours of active gameplay on the expedition, though I also brought some extras from my main save, like a good spaceship with water landing capability, and stuff to refine to nanites.

No. Basically what happens is nms contacts the HG servers to see which expedition is running. From there the servers will determine if you are on Switch or something else. If you're on Switch, you'll get the config for The Cursed. If you're on something else, you'll get the config for the newer expedition when it comes out (right now you get nothing and it will just say no expedition is running).

I actually don't think so. Because when you're playing an expedition offline with your own cached config file, it will boot you out as soon as you go online and it sees you're not on the current expedition (or that you're on an expedition when none is running).

Expeditions are interesting. We actually have the code, but the config for the expedition is only provided by their servers. So you could go collect all the rewards by data mining, but piecing the actual expedition together with all the milestone id's would be pretty tough.
