7 Hours and 32 Minutes, finally done. Thanks for your help, folks. My experience for this Expedition, is a lot more on finding a needle in a haystack, compared to any other Expeditions, but not as hard as Expedition 7 - Leviathan.

Use scanner upgrades -- at least 2 other milestones reward them. If you find a space station with an S-class scanner upgrade and can afford it, get it. If the s-class modules installed have +% fauna analysis rewards stat, 2-3 s-class modules should do the trick, if scanning rare fauna, which can be easily found on any exotic planet.

• phase 1 milestone 4 (naturalist) reward: a-class scanner
• phase 2 milestone 6 (deep freeze) reward: s-class scanner
• rdv2 station sells a-class scanner
• Bkay's example: with basic scanner upgrades (2 a-class + 1 s-class), all fairly low rolls, but all with +%fauna analysis stat above 5K, scanning the big crab in efkad (marsh biome) planet, rdv2 system completed the phase 5 milestone 4 (hooves of thunder) + phase 4 milestone 3 (priceless)

I never bothered figuring that out on other saves, because I never waited on plants growing before.

Plants grow while you're offline.
You can go to a Space Station and look at "Other Bases". Find one that says flowers or farms.
A lot of players have set up farms for us to harvest plants from.

Is anyone else getting framerate stutters in the expedition? Like brief little freezes similar to what happens when you leave a planets atmosphere and enter space.

Doing the expedition, is it always buggy as shit on console?... I have a main story save that's dashboarded 3 or 4x. I started the expedition this afternoon and my game has crashed 10 or 12x and jet pack boosting I might as well hang that up cause it shoots me way up and slams me down. I have no control over it.....

so it becomes a matter of having plenty of resources so that you don't have a deficit elsewhere

there is also the time investment when farming for those resources when fixing up a ship so you might want to consider that

The pins were super helpful, at least for me. Just find a portal and build a base next to it, then unlock all the glyphs by digging (there's a milestone for it) and just warp around like crazy

And do check out bases, especially ones that have farms; they're super useful. I set up one in the starting system for new players that has 11k copper via automated miners

In the second sacr I dropped a save pod first. Saved manually, then scanned. If the creature is above 2.4, insta reload save point.

But I didn't need to reload. First one was a hit.

Also sentinel/interceptor ships are still worth an absurd amount of money despite hello games saying they fixed that. Even a C class can get you like 20 million

Lol, that's how I mainly battle sentinels. I dig myself in and shoot them from the tunnel entrance. Easy dealings.

The quickest way to get the advanced mining laser in the expedition, which you'll need for radiant shards, is to complete some random quests/missions from the space station to raise your standing, then find a minor settlement and buy the blueprint there with nanites

Or it might be faster to get it from the anomaly; depends on how quickly it unlocks

Well there’s a bug in the expedition that is affecting people getting bigger numbers for acidic blood instead of lower numbers. If that’s not the case then it could just be unlucky

if you have scanned a fauna that has higher than required pH value than that step will be bugged until it is patched. Else the specific fauna in the pin should work for you. i have another pic if you need it.

I found a planet that has the hunter killer creatures it’s just not allowing the completion of 🤷🏼 and no I’m not reporting it cause by time it’s sorted and all the milestones are sorted the expidition will be finished

Well I know I was on a toxic planet and it had 12 animals and all 12 are scanned and none of them worked. So I went to a 2nd toxic planet and it had 8 animals and I scanned all of them too and none of them worked for Corrosive blood, so...

Then yeah you can't get that milestone lol. It's bugged. The game can't properly register lower pH levels and always just takes the literal highest number, even if that's technically less corrosive. So if you scanned anything higher than what the milestone asked for, then you're blocked.

I lucked out and somehow managed to complete like 80% of the expedition without ever scanning anything on a toxic planet, and I wasn't aware of the bug. When I found out, I was able to still get the milestone because I didn't scan any toxic stuff.

There's a very easy milestone that gives you all glyphs as a reward, but if you're really that bothered by out of order stuff, you can visit space stations and look for travellers to give you graves for glyphs

i couldn't find any such chart, and didn't want to mess with my usual method (getting the roamer and the scanner for it), so I went to the Anomaly and looked for a base that was named for a Portal

i didn't even use the portal for anything fun. i put in the coordinates of my own personal record planet for "deepest ocean" and then figured out how to find a spot 80m deep
