Correct, if you only modify the size slot, everything else will be the same, and iirc chlorine is a nice alternative as well, since you can use chlorine to make more of it, but anything will do, just keep putting the egg into the sequencer until it says 'inherited' for size rather than growing, means the current egg is at max size

yes, though from my testing the larger the butterfly the higher they fly, which is useful for getting over water, and when I made one extra small it was very fast, but at size 3 they're still quick enough

I think the mod that lets you tame more creatures also shortens the egg timer. I remember that I was able to get multiple eggs from a companion consecutively with no other mods that would influence that, but my memory is hazy as to if the eggs spawned ready to hatch, I'll have to double check that.

The only way to duplicate an egg is by giving it to a player, they save, hand you the egg, they reload the save, then hand you the reloaded egg, otherwise it will break.

Hey travellers, anyone else managed to mutate the sandworm egg to a different variation?

For clafication, I scoured the internet for info but it seems this is the only non-modded variation I found everyone else has albeit they were kinda dated

I got it from a friend so I can't really say if it's modded but it's definitely been sequenced

its modded, i tried to sequence the legit worm egg and all it did was make a weird faced short worm

specifically the sphinkter teeth with short cactus tail, every time i re-sequenced it was the same result

If you modify their eggs in the sequencer you're likely to only get two variations: the one it starts as and this short spikey one in your pic. Anything else was probably save-edited
