I've found the sentinel interceptor configuration that is least compatible with my sense of aesthetics. The top and bottom parts shift about 3cm when in flight and the feet go in. That's it. At least I got a nice-looking rifle-style multitool from the camp.

If you don't like it, you can always sell it for scrap, Class-A goes for 42M units, Class-S goes for 51M plus the techs which give or take 400-500 nanites each.
I prefer to stick with 3 star dissonant system tho to increase the change of A, B and S sentinel ships

Problem is that I started playing about half a year ago, and very early on got pointed to an almost perfect interceptor: Wide head with nothing else in front, nothing on top, pommel, guard, extra thrusters, all lit up. It was acquired from Expedition 12: Omega which is not available to play anymore. The only ways to acquire one now are through getting one from another player #nms-legacy-ships message, save editing or mods, the service bot or waiting for HG to rerun the expedition (extremely unlikely)

I’m finding the infra knife in my sentinel absolutely crushes now I’ve got some good upgrades and have it in an sc spot but it does overheat quick. It melts through shields though so I run both that and photon in case I need to cycle and keep firing. I think I’m getting like 24k damage (potential) shielded and 30k unshielded. So on actual enemies it’s hitting like 2.5k per hit

The way I learned it was to have the thing you want to boost in the middle (of like a 3x3 grid) then put the best and sc items on the top, bottom, and both sides.. meaning yes you can supercharge only one item, but you can have 4 supercharged slots on that item. So I'm not sure, like I said the way it works, I dont fully understand yet, if I'm missing something or wrong please correct me, I just wanna know to to make it efficient 😂 if I've misunderstood something I might be able to bump the dps even higher 😂

If you want balanced then my guess is you'd want the sc slots to be decently spread out over your ship. I don't typically balance in terms of sc because you can already have like 4 shield upgrades and your launch thrusters can recharge themselves eventually and such. I do think it would be funny to use four sc slots on either the pulse drive to make a ridiculously agile ship, or on hypdedrive to max your jump distance 😂

There's also nothing wrong with just messing around with your slots and checking over and over what's better and what's not, you might even be able to learn how the bonuses work easier that way, because you can identify the patterns right then and there. Yeah I mean like 100% of the steam achievements lol, I think one is for reaching the center of the galaxy in permadeath. A lot of people say to turn multi-player off for that 😂

The four sc slots are the infraknife itself, and the three S class upgrades. If I swap the q-resonator with the worst upgrade in the farthers sc slot on the left then the dps goes down to like 156k.

Another thing you can do if you're wealthy in the game is to build the starships from scratch. When you go to "assemble" you'll get a preview of the guaranteed sc slots as well as the missing slots to guess where the sc slots will be. Don't like the setup? switch one of the parts and look again. Once you get a configuration you like, go back one final time and do what colors you want, then enjoy the new ship 🙂 that's why I have all those parts in my inventory, luckily this ship only took me about 4 attempts to get that L shape

the starship upgrade merchant on the upper right of each station sells s class reactors for 12k nanites. if thats too much, they also sell the A, B, and C types too

Storage augmentations are used to increase tech and inventory slots in the ship.

Save editor is an external application that allows you to alter your save game data, basically letting you obtain items you may have missed out on or are otherwise unobtainable, can also be used to alter varying attributes.

1. Save editing #nms-modding has info pinned alternatively here is the guide depending on platform #nms-modding message there if you want to pursue platform capability and the process

2. Service bot, https://nomansapp.com the service bot can unlock or deliver the rewards for you, they do have free deliveries but that from memory is 4 uses a month, you can use their patron to pay for more uses.

3. There is a mod on nexus that allows players to replay old expeditions and earn their rewards, you could use this to obtain the items.

Manoeuvrability is a separate stat, this continues to effect your ship beyond a playable state.

Speed is capped regardless of the displayed speed within your ship, 800u is the max speed in atmosphere that will actually influence your ships speed. Anything above that number is not actually influencing your speed.

This is not a thing in No Man's Sky.

The only two general shapes of exotics are the "royal" shape and the "squid" shape, there is not a third variation of them and they cannot come with the Vesper Sails installed.

well...im never making another corvette ever again. i was flying along today and all of sudden blackness, i reloaded my game after restarting it cause thats all i could do to get it to work and the ship i was in was rebuilt as a default corvette....over 2 hours of hard work building the thing from a tutorial online down the drain

Try different sites, each system has 1 model interceptor so every site in that system will be the same ship model, locating a different site will yield a different class and initial SC slot placement.

You lose your primary ship if it says swap ship. If it says add to collection, then you get another ship.

They can be but multiplayer tends to be buggy which is why people disable it; also make sure you turn off PVP in network settings

as far as i know the no mans app which is a fan project doesn't unlock ships account wide; if you want to unlock ships for future possible save files / playthroughs then you do the expedition if not then you can use the no mans app every time you want a ship etc

If you want a good s class ship then I'd suggest going after an interceptor. They're pretty easy to get.
Alternatively If you've got a portal somewhere then look for an exotic you like and just visit the station.

There's a reddit thread with glyphs for various ships, the wiki has a page of various exotics and s class ships and their glyphs so they're pretty easy to get too. Unless you just want to find one on your own.
