starter galaxy is euclid galaxy, look in top left of galaxy map to show which galaxy you are in

for example isadorijung galaxy

To answer your question.

1. Jump through Galactic Core to proceed to next galaxy.
2. Use a Teleport such as one at the Anomaly, where some of the featured bases are in other galaxies.
3. Join someone elses game of a person who is in the other galaxy (get a taxi)

Hi you can play the main quest to collect all the glyphs you need for portals, or if you find a traveller in a space station you can ask about their grave (https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Unknown_Grave)

coordinates specifically, you can find in your ship on its dashboard or when using your scanner. It will tell you the location on a planet itself.

i could be wrong, but if you want to mark the crash site a save beacon is generally more reliable than a comms beacon (for other players)

the comms beacon is the ball w/eye found in main build menu. you can add a message to it for other players to see, but once placed it can never be removed ever

some planets are covered in these things, which at times is helpful, but with too many it becomes challenging to find anything specific

planets with popular starship crash sites are relevant examples of too many beacons

Theoretically it would add a small bonus to shield by having both an interceptor variant and a standard shield, tho quick charging it may still just charge the interceptors standard shield.

In saying that, in practice reskinning any “alien” technology onto an interceptor is only temporary, after loading into the game that alien tech would be removed along with the standard core tech of that interceptor. Save editing the tech May allow it to be permanent but last time I tried this didn’t work.

Would require a reskin glitch to put that tech onto the ship, but it isn’t permanent for an interceptor, the method to perform a reskin glitch no longer works in game AFAIK would require a SE

I don’t have any clue what you’re talking about in terms of like any tech put into an interceptor is temporary because I use a sentinel ship and I have rocket pods and other things like that that have stayed on that ship since I got it

My response is that A this requires a glitch because this tech isn’t normally able to be installed on an interceptor as that has it’s own unique variant of the shield, and B it wouldn’t be permanent if you did glitch it on.

This only applies if the player glitches core tech that normally cannot be on an interceptor, this is called “alien” tech because it is alien to the interceptor.

Nope. Only by mods, save editors, waiting for reward to come back if HG decides that, or trying to trade ship with other player. But from what i know only looks will transfer. Rest will be rerolled.

I realise there's only one interceptor per dissonant system, but are things like class, slots, all identical, or just appearance?

the class of the interceptor is generally tied to the slot layout, so for example all C-class interceptors found in that system will generally have similar layouts and stats due to the initial seed.

i could be wrong but that is what i've experienced with a few systems

while not always the case, a lower-grade ship upgraded to S-class may end up with better stats than a natural S-class found in the same system

Class is dependant on crashsite. Slots is also dependant on class and crashsite. When the ship class is upgraded, the same sc slots are unlocked in order. So if you get a B and C class of same interceptor, when upgraded to S class, the 2 sc slots unlocked on the B class will be same as the 1st two slots unlocked on the C class

were you able to locate it?
in first-person view of your ship, there are +- coordinates that you use to get to the exact crash site location.
start with whichever one you want and get it to align with the coords provided, then repeat with second one. it takes a little practice, but you'll get it
if there is a base comp at the crash site, just aim for that from orbit and pulse there

fwiw, it's not terribly difficult to make units and/or nanites in this game so upgrading ships can be trivial once you have enough funds

of the hundreds (maybe it's in the thousands) of interceptor crash sites i've been to, i can count the natural S-class discoveries that i found on my own on one hand ☹️

how do you read these coordinates?

you find a monolith (without using it to tame a brain or stuffing it with Atlantium), you do the normal thing for the monolith once, and then you access the monolith again and give it some relic specific to the race of the system, and it tells you where a portal is. You go to the portal, power it up, and then request the planet's address.

But if your new you can only do it once you progress the story missions enough that you use a portal a few times.

easiest way to find a monolith to start this process is to scan for one via exocraft radar

go to a dissonant system(pirate dissonant is best)(labeled in the galaxy map where it might say water), find a planet that says dissonance detected, youll find dissonance resonators on the surface, kill them until you get atleast 1 inverted mirror and 1 echo locator, collect 3 radiant shards that are on the planets surface pretty commonly(with multitool).use the echolocator to find a harmonic camp, go there(to the machine thing there)and check system memory, youll have to do some simple math, then remember the numbers you got at the answrs, then go back and input override glyphs, put in the ones matching the numbers you got, sequence doesnt matter, then itll unlock and press locate dissonance spike, go there and then get the hyaline brain from the crashed ship, analyse in your inventory, then go to the marker it shows, interact with the monolith and go back to the ship, then you can repair and claim it! theres other methods but i find this the fastest

Does the old hunting method work? Jumping in circles til you get the encounter, reloading last save, then jumping to the target system and resetting the class in the space station

yes but make sure to save before the 5th warp in a space station by jumping in then out of your ship, go to the system you want and if the ship isnt the class you want then load the restore point. if you like the look of that ship but not the class then keep going to that system until its s class, note its like a 2% chance

make sure you dont have a freighter claimed if you want it for free

I haven't had an encounter in 20+ warps I don't think Ive hit the playtime threshold since the last one. Idm even an A class. The one I claimed back when I was new is a C lol

Resetting the class in the local space station doesn't work anymore though?

you cant do it in the local since its already happened

make a restore point in the system you are in before yiu warp to the next point

complete the bagtle and go into the freighter and use your visor to see if its A/S and if it is go and buy and if it isnt then load the restore point

Pirate system also has 85% chance to be C class

Im not sure how many crash sites a single harmonic camp can ping before it starts repiniging crash sites

To unlock its both artemis and atlas quest lines, then a small quest after that

The weather on the planets are continously storms, so they are end game planets, hence they are locked behind quests
