A ship I was gonna salvage was called "n-Atlas-Fire" but after claiming it, it got renamed to Reforged-

Yes I think I'm out of luck too actually. I haven't seen anything I really liked in 150+ I hunt living ships too while I'm at it and check trade at outlaw stations for a pink/pink solar but yeah. I'm just having really bad luck lately.

One of those is mine, I didn’t even see the other one. I used a bot that you enter a ticket, and it will fly a custom ship to a system. You get the ticket by using a website that lets you customize any starship.

It's an S class shuttle. It's a good ship if you liek it. If not it can be scrapped for a good bit of units.

You can't customize the colors of ships, though you can change the colors of freighters, so they may add it eventually

Actually I was able to a new ship called the shield of air. It has solar sails and it is A class ship. I also just crushed some pirates with it and very happy to get such a cool ship. I will send a pic later.

Solar ships are definitly a nice one. You might notice some of the tech slots on your ship are highlighted in blue, or the background color of some of the tech slots has a purple gradiant. Those are supercharged slots, and I'd suggest putting the vesper sail tech the solar ship has into that slot.

The way I do it now that there is no manual saves is travel 4k light years away then land on a planet and restart the quest with those parameters.

Well that's news to me, I've never seen more than one living ship on the same planet.... are you sure about that information? Anytime I want to go back and collect a living ship I have found I just return and reset the quest and it appears.

The exception would be planets which turned dissonant as they seed different ships now

Alright, yeah I see it. I had no idea a planet could seed multiple living ships and I've been hunting for years. Thought it was a static 1 ship per planet.

All good just remember that specific info is required otherwise you’ll be searching for ages or get lucky to find the exact model again.

To explain why this is, the standard ship that exists before we reset the mission shares the seed with the living ship. That means every crashed ship has its own unique living ship. But the maximum number of seed would be the complete roster of the system. So one living ship model per standard living ship as long as there are enough crash sites.

This isn't true for me at all I often return back to my planets with ships and I've never seen a second model. It's always the same one. I return to planets across my multiple saves and gather the same fleet each time, the only exception for me has been when planets went dissonant. My favourite living ship was on a planet and it seems to be unavailable now that it's gone dissonant. I guess I've just been lucky if what you're saying is true.

The number can in theory be 21 LS models per system.

What I’m saying is fact as this info is found using a save editor, and even tested in game, this is just how it is, you could definitely have gotten lucky with the same crashed ship but i couldn’t tell you why you have experienced otherwise.

I believe you, you don't have to worry about it. I don't take this game very seriously anyhow and I just came on here to share ships since I find a heap. I certainly wouldn't be adding coordinates to every screenshot I have in my archives, that's for sure. But if it's the way you say, if I share anything here I'll try to remember to add the coordinates.

they come in 3 sizes, 3 segments, 5 segments, and 7. They also have very slight things like the cargo pods on the bottom and the color of the bridge at the top, but the main colors can be modified anyway, so size is mostly what I notice, but others are more particular

You can get beacons from destroying the Sentinel Dreadnaught, from Anomaly missions and the Echo beacons drop from the Tripod things on Dissonant planets, which you can use to go to a camp that can show you to an Interceptor as well.

If I find a sentinel ship that I really like but is only a C class, is it destined to always be a C class? Or is there a way to get a higher class to spawn? I’m assuming each system only has one variant of Sentinel ship, which could also be incorrect

Every planet that hosts a sentinel interceptor will have some crash sites, based on planet size. Sentinel interceptors are system bound, just like capital freighters; this means their design is system locked. Different crash sites may lead to different stat roll, and the chance of spawning an S class follows the same principle as a normal ship. Higher tier economy has more chance.

That's the portal address for the planets / systems a given starship was found in

Knowing that and the galaxy the finder was in, you can travel there and get that model of the starship

And we recommend doing it with multiplayer disabled

Those addresses are used at portals (not to be confused with teleporters)

Sounds like you're early on in the game, I would recommend playing through the story line first

That way you will learn what a portal is and get the glyphs to use it

You need to unlock those glyphs in the ship pictures in order to use a portal so yeah go though the story, complete the atlas story to get to the glyph unlocking.

find space station that sells S class upgrades to infra knife:

• save then buy
• install them without saving
• if good then save and reload, if bad then just reload

infra knife main module into supercharged slot, upgrades around it, or into sc slot like i did

lol, you're pretty early in the game, don't want to spoil anything but, those glyphs in the bottom left of the corner of the one pic are the key to finding it.

But it's a Sentinel ship, so there is a bit more to finding it than just locating a crashed ship.

But if you insist on knowing, I can explain it in #nms-questions

I just don't want to spoil anything if you're trying to stay surprised.

Glyphs are always unlocked in the same order. If game lore interests you, progress through the main questline to learn them for free. Excluding that, you may also obtain glyphs from Traveler graves.
Either way, players can choose any of the following options to unlock all 16 portal glyphs in the save.

1. Through the main storyline, mission named The Purge: perform 16 warps in any direction, to any system (despite what the quest objective says).

2. Find Travelers in inhabited star systems, and for 100 nanites, ask them where they came from.
   This will add a HUD marker to a grave location on one of the planets in the system: follow it and interact with the grave to obtain the next glyph. The HUD can't mark more than 1 grave site at the same time.

3. Through the Eliminate Hazardous Flora Nexus mission, the player is led to a grave location. Build and claim a base computer near it, then reload the autosave, which will return the player to the Space Anomaly. This method can be used multiple times, before the Nexus cycles the available mission list. The player can then teleport to those base computers, and extract each grave's glyph.

you can get more wing span, you need the little boosters + you need the piece that forbid the "x wings" to move, give you a little hight boost. You also need the tank part to get an even bigger ship

the moving wings can also be used, it reduce a bit the lengh of the ship but give you a bigger wing span

the explorer in the other hand can have mismatched parts, the cab and the body are symetrical, but the wings n stuff can be different from a side to another

You can but you can't buy them from other people and a freighters class is randomized no matter what system

If you want a sentinel freighter I can give you glyphs to one but keep in mind that you will need to do a little bit of work to get it to spawn as S and it will take time

You will need to jump in and out of the system that the freighter is in until a freighter battle appears in the system that that given freighter is in and kill all the enemies without hurting the allies and then after landing in the freighter use your analysis visor and point it at any wall in the freighter to see what class it is if it isn't S then leave the freighter reset restore point after flying away for a while then start the whole proces over again until it spawns as S

It's a big pain in the ass but it's worth it
