There are YouTube vids that go over the two procedures. One requires you have not fully expanded your freighter storage and be willing to trade a fully expanded freighter away; the other requires an associate with a free ship slot and funds to buy any old ship in a station. Both are glitches.

Portaling to the center isn't the solution for that mission what you need to do is ||follow the mission, and it will take you to "the last atlas interface" whoch allows you to galaxy warp. Which means you don't literally need to go to the core||

It's all part of the mission 👍🏻

If you warp before doing that, it will still require you to go back and finish the mission

you can't really give credits or nanites directly, but only resources and goods, that ultimately can be converted in credit or nanite.

default range on base computer is ~300u. as you building expand on that area, the range will do as well. having a power hotspot up to 1000u away from the base computer is still doable. for some reason for me the wires won't work properly/all the time when i don't have actual buildings expanding that area. even if i build, remove the parts after wiring the base. therefore, I recommend you have a path to your EM generators, or even bury some wooden walls every ~50u from base to generators. hope that helps.

as far as I know, just jump fuel, unless you use a black hole or an emergency jump then a random upgrade breaks

in a way, both types of travel are very similar. despite the fact that you don't have an "intergalactic drive" meaning u either do it by going through the SMBH in the center of the galaxies or you simply use a terminus, should you have a base computer there already. so yeah... mind the BH leap, pretty much.

I'd say make sure to complete main story missions first. that will not only provide you with the means to do so, but also the knowledge. not to mention it will prevent 'bugs" when it comes to story missions and it will favor the immersion.

i'm not on expeditions, but i can give you a tip: if you need just regular glass, you can make it out of silicate powder.

the fiendish roe is obtainable now, think it was from feeding certain "glitch" fauna
